Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Cafe Christina is a week night staple for my family and I. Their food is not fancy, it's pretty casual and simple dishes with a lot of Italian American and seafood options. My go to entree is usually the crispy chicken marsala or the pork tenderloin. Drinks are usually strong. Service can be lackluster at times and it seems like the waitstaff has a high turn around rate. The location of this restaurant is very close to my home so I frequent it pretty often, and I have a pretty solid experience every time I come here.

I've been here probably a few dozen times at this point because I live right around the corner.... and I've NEVER had a bad meal here. Honestly, it's probably like 4.4... but I rounded up because the employees are super nice and they always treat me right and serve up quality food. I'd be lying if I said the food was amazing, but it's satisfying and ranges from good to excellent depending on the dish... But it's consistent, both in service and food. The salads are really good and fresh and they have some interesting ones, like apples, goat cheese, nuts, etc.. that kinda thing. They have good fresh seafood, and italian dishes that hit the spot! The bar is section is cozy and comfortable.. The dining room is comfortable and not bad at all, but it's not like amazing atmosphere... So overall, I'd highly recommend this place if you just want to go someplace with good service, good food and a fairly robust menu... and the desserts are awesome - I almost ALWAYS get dessert here.. I love going with a group and getting like 5 desserts and sharing them all, it's so freakin' good!!

Love this place. Been many, many times and never had a bad experience. Their eggplant Parmesan is fantastic as is everything else I have tried! Way better than going to some chain Italian place!

Honestly, I just don't get the appeal of this place. Have been there 4 times. Service is always slow, nothing special about the food. Tonight there were 3 adults and a child in our party. Told it was a 20 minute wait which turned out to be half hour. No big deal, but service was excruciatingly slow tonight. Asked if pizza order for the child could be expedited, told that wouldn't be a problem. When pizza didn't come after 35 minutes, we were told orders couldn't be split up for ordering. When adult entrees came, only 2 were brought to table. Waitress had forgot to put in the 3rd entree order. I said never mind, but she said it would be right out, it wasn't. We took it to go. The entire staff was frazzled because they were short in the kitchen. Perhaps they could have mentioned that when we first got there. Also, had cork or some residue in my wine. Had to ask for water refills. It wasn't the poor waitress' fault and she did comp the wine and entree. Won't be back

We love Christina's! It's one of our favorite spots. The food is always consistent and the staff is super friendly! Chris makes amazing desserts too:)

Had the coconut crusted chicken and it was by far the best chicken I have ever had! Tender, melt in your mouth, and very flavorful. We had the flourless chocolate baby cake with pistachio ice cream for dessert and it was to die for! And to top it all off we had the nicest waiter. Great food and great service, I can't wait to go back!

The food is fantastic here. The staff is always great. We love to go and sit at the bar and enjoy a great meal. The only problem can be some of the obnoxious bar crowd at times. Recently my wife and I went there and ran into a local that felt necessary to insult every walk of life that didn't fit into his perfect world. Sad. Get the steak and the scallop app.

I ate there last night and got the $24.00 Sirloin Steak and added the side of Risotto for $3.25. I asked to box up the delicious food and I was very excited to have another meal tonight. I opened up the take out food when I got home and I had an entire order of someones ribs and that poor person must have got my food... Really Christina's, that just doesn't make me want to come back.

Great local restaurant! I've been here 3 times now. Comfortable booths, great staff, good selection of food, great atmosphere. Their mac and cheese is awesome but only available at the bar. No complaints about the other dishes I've had in the past (scallops and a burger). The bar its self is small so if you want to stop in and watch a game I wouldn't suggest it, especially because the TV is in the dead center of the bar and very small. I would suggest Christina's for a date night or other special occasion.

We continue to go here as often as we can. Probably our favorite place in the entire area. It's our go-to restaurant especially for special occasions. I just recently learned they've got a video on YouTube. Check them out: youtube.com/watch?v=H_Oe…

A big thank you to Phantom Gourmet for featuring this place on a recent episode and thus inspiring me to go. Delicious, homemade pasta. Want to go back sometime on a Tuesday - seafood special night. AWESOME homemade desserts - probably ever meal should end with chocolate cake with a peppermint mousse center. One thing to note - it seemed a little nicer/more formal inside than the phantom made it seem. I was wearing jeans and a tank and felt slightly underdressed (but staff was super-nice / definitely wasn't an issue for them).

Great restaurant specializing in Italian fare.Very popular with locals. We usually go with friends once or twice a month.Salads are great also.I usually order something different every time I go but the Chicken Braciolettine(sp?) is one of my favorites.Very generous portions so you might be to full to try the specialty desserts, like I usually am.Full bar featuring a nightly "specialty" drink(typically pricey). Nice atmosphere, dark but not too dark.Sinatra type music in the background.Deceivingly ample seating room, probably not a good atmosphere for kids. The hostess and wait staff are very friendly and accommodating,,,we usually tip in the 25% range. This may not be the very best Italian food I've ever had but It's definitely high up on the list! *recently added menu item:CRISPY chicken Marsala, highly recommended!

Bashkalov Babadook can't speak for the sea food or anything else here. What B. Babadook CAN say is that the bred here is the best he's ever had. It's seriously excellent. I almost put myself in a bread-coma. The bread with the dipping sauce is simply out of this world. It's worth going there for that alone! Pizza is great too. Restaurant itself is a little dire but the atmosphere suffices. Seriously, get that bread! B. Babadook was a big big fan of that bread!

While I think the food is great, I have to give only three stars because the service is slow and unprofessional. Especially at the bar. I find it annoying when, I haven't even finished my order by selecting what pasta I would like or adding a vegetable I would like with my meal, and the server is rushing away... hello can I finish ordering please, or am I just going to get what the server feels like giving me? Wish they'd deliver the food as fast as they try to escape when you're placing your order. Also, if they would ask you if you need anything else before rushing away, would be nice...like another drink or some grated cheese or ketchup... that is pretty much waitressing 101, isn't it??

The food was fantastic. The service was poor. I went with a group of friends on a Monday night. Before placing our drink orders as we were sitting down, we asked if we could split the bill a couple ways (it's always easier to do this before ordering everything! I used to waitress and I always appreciated when people gave me the heads up. We asked at the beginning to make it easier for her). Her response was, "That's kind of a pain in the ass" with an annoyed look on her face. Oh?.... Im sorry but aren't you in the service industry? Isn't that your, uh, JOB? She was not friendly for the entire evening we were there. Other than that, the food was fantastic. It was my first time coming here and even though the service was bad, I'm willing to go back and try again because the pasta dishes were very well made. Hopefully I'll get a nicer waitress next time!

It was my 80 year old grandmother's birthday and she wanted to come here. Judging by the average age of the clientele I now understand why. The restaurant smelled like old fish. Worst shrimp scampi I've ever had. Bland, tasteless and overcooked. I may have to play sick if my grandmother wants to go again next year.

OMG! Just went here the other night with 2 girlfriends and was very surprised of how it was as the reviews are not that great. The bread is amazing and I love that they leave a huge dish of Parmesan cheese to add to the olive oil :) We all ordered different things and tried each others plates. I had the scallop casserole with a side of risotto. Both were cooked perfectly and they gave you huge scallops that were sweet and cooked to perfection. The risotto was creamy and smooth. One friend had the pork tenderloin which was cooked very nicely and was very moist. The other had the eggplant Parmesan that just melted in your mouth. After such a great meal and with plenty of leftovers, we all ordered a dessert. I got the apple crostada with cinnamon ice cream..died and went to heaven. The other 2 got the white chocolate cheesecake and lemon custard with raspberry sauce. All in all the cheesecake was better than the pudding. I would definitely return as I enjoyed the food thoroughly and the prices were reasonable.

This is my family's favorite restaurant in the area. Fantastic Italian food, cozy dining area, and friendly family atmosphere. I have never had a bad dish here, everything is delicious. Desserts are also delicious, our favorite is the bavarian cheesecake they make for us. Price isn't bad either. You have to try this place!
