Let's get this story straight - P.F. Chang's is NOT really Chinese food. More than anything, it is American cuisine that is Chinese inspired, but that's really it. If you've got to a Chinatown or eaten Chinese food with a Chinese friend, you agree with me. Food here is just average, but definitely not worth the bang for your buck; look elsewhere. Service is pretty standard; they are quick to try to liquor you up good and well before ordering. It's Chinese food - just have the tea instead.

So, I'm not generally a chain restaurant person, but I go when others are deciding... and when I have a gift card. I actually had this gift card for about 5 years...can't believe I didn't lose it! Anyway, I had been to a PF Chang's a while back and enjoyed the lettuce wraps, so those were a no-brainer. What I didn't recall was their unique and high-end mixed drinks. I had a Black Tea Gimlet and my friend had a Pear Mojito - both were big hits. I ordered the new item, Carmel Mango Chicken, and my friend the Pepper Steak. To be honest, I liked hers better, but mine was ok. We had a half order of the Spicy green beans and half order of the shanghai cucumbers. I fell in love with the cucumbers. The green beans were good too - and there were a ton of them, even in the half order. I easily had enough left of both items for a lunch the next day. We also partook of the mini-desserts, I the Lemon Dream and she the chocolate wall. Just right-sized. :) Major shout out to Nina, who was our server extraordinaire. She was super friendly, gave us the low down on the menu, and even steered us clear of a dish that simply wasn't coming out right that particular evening. Kudos to PF Changs for having such a keeper on board.

Our family really used to like PF Changs - and hopefully they can get back to what makes them different from all the other greasy spoon Chinese American restaurants - what I remember from other PF Changs is fresh ingredients, unusual preparations in light sauces. What we got was salty, over-fried, thickly seasoned with MSG tasting sauces. It was such a shame because the service is great, atmosphere nice, but it was so bad that no one at our table finished anything they ordered. The only thing that was good was the lettuce wraps because it wasn't delivered in a salt shaker coated with oil!

I hadn't been to a PF Chang's in years--the last time I went was at the one in Boston for my sisters' 16th birthday party, and I have this great memory of having an incredible waitress and amazingly delicious unique Chinese fusion food. The one at the Northshore Mall, where I went this weekend, was a huge disappointment. Nothing to complain about the service (well even if there was, I was having a great time with the people I was with and so overall enjoyed the evening). We ordered so many dishes, and every single one (impressive) was a salt lick. Practically inedible. The mango in the Caramel Mango Chicken was like little rocks. Dry chicken, dry beef, salty-as-the-Dead-Sea tofu and shrimp, extremely bland Lo Mein... The only thing that was delicious was the banana spring roll dessert. Because they kept it away from the salt shakers. But man. What a letdown.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. I had never been there before and was really looking forward to it. The decor is pretty cool. I thought the food was mediocre at best - not the worst Chinese I've had for sure but definitely not the best and not worth the price. I had sesame chicken and the sauce was so sweet that it was nearly inedible. The lettuce wraps were pretty good. The service was terrible - the waitress was not friendly and a little condescending to us when I asked questions. Other entrees at my table met with mixed reviews but nobody raved about it. Everyone agreed it wasn't worth the money. All in all I was disappointed and probably won't return. Too bad because I really wanted to like it.

I'm a healthy, picky eater, and I've never been a big fan of chain restaurants. I've had PF Chang's in Boston before, and I thought it was just okay. So I went to the Peabody location with some reservations. Let me tell you, I had one of the best dinners with some of the most amazing customer service at this location. Our server, Joe, went above and beyond with his customer service. My family was taking some friends out for dinner, and they had two young children with them. When we asked if they had ice cream for dessert for the kids, Joe said that there was only the coconut ice cream that comes with another dessert, but he would come back with a special surprise. Minutes later, he arrives back at our table with an ice cream cone from another store. He actually left and spent his own money on ice cream so that the kids with us would be happy. The place was busy, but it didn't take too long for the food to come out. I had some of the Thai Lettuce Wraps, Hot & Sour Soup, Oolong Marinated Sea Bass, and some of the Banana Spring Rolls for dessert. All of it was fantastic, especially the sea bass and the dessert. Sure, it's pricier than other restaurants in the area. But the prices are right there on the menu, so if it's out of your desired price range for the evening, don't eat there. That goes for any restaurant, plain and simple.

Very slow service. Dirty booth. Not a good time. Attitude from server didn't help.

Oh, Bliss...! Before I got "here", I thought I was going to be seen as the one and only cranky dissenter who thought this PF Changs was an incredible disaster. And, boy, was I ever wrong! Look, there was a day when I was just freakin' hungry and if you threw me a bagel, lox and cream cheese platter while in the men's room at a New York subway, I'd have found a spot on the counter to hop up and make myself a nice little snack. Now, I am a little more demanding these days, however, I can still be pretty forgiving but PF Chang's was just marginally better than what I'd just described. Instead of continuing on in story fashion, I'll just list what happened: 1. Dirty plates; 2. Asked for more of various sauces, never got them; 3. Asked for them again, didn't get them; 4. A manager asked how things were. We told him. He got the sauces. 5. Salt-o-rama. Some of the meals came out so salty that I was seriously looking for the "hidden camera" and waiting for a prank show host to jump out of a plant and explain that we were just, "a-SALT-ed" or something queer like that; 6. They screwed up the order, but that's where I was forgiving and just ate whatever it was. It was either that or slay everyone in the room due to extreme hunger anger; 7. If anyone else can understand this, the waitstaff seemed to have no flow/rythym/cohesion. You know, like at Legal Seafood where everyone looks like they're all, generally, on the same page and each server's customer is really like "everyone's" customer? I think that's because they pool the tips, maybe. But, at PF Chang's it was like a bunch of randomly moving servers that looked more stressed out than happy. To their credit, some of the things were alright. The egg drop soup was pretty good. And, just about everything else was so lackluster and unremarkable that I really don't even remember any more of it. If you've been there before, perhaps it's better you take your hard-earned money and let P.F. Chang's figure out where it went and how to get it back before you waste any more of it there. If you haven't been there before, and still decide you want to try it out, then consider the following advice: If you end up thoroughly enjoying your meal, make sure to pick up a Megabucks Ticket that night for it would mean you obviously have good luck.

Usually it's pretty good, but the wait was very long and it wasn't even busy at 2 pm when we came. My cashew & chicken lunch bowl only had two pieces if chicken in it. I was a bit disappointed in the food and service today.

I went in for drinks and dessert last night and was not pleased with the bar service. I'll admit that the place was packed and the food was still delicious (The Plum Collins cocktail is fantastic), but the bartenders looked annoyed that they had to wait on people who were eager to throw money at them.

We went with another couple and everything was good. Service was excellent and timely, this was a Sunday night so it wasn't busy. The spicy chicken is tasty and only a little spicy. If you want it good and spicy you want to ask when you are ordering. I see some bad reviews on here, but our experience was good.

My husband and I ate at this location for the second time last night. We had made some reservations as we were going there after a movie, however at 9:30pm we walked right in the door and did not have to wait for a table. We were put in the middle of two larger groups and one group had 4 children at it and we were closest to them - I do not mind sitting next to children when I am out earlier in the evening - however this was 9:30pm and we were put with our chairs touching theirs - it would have been nice if the hostess had notice it was just my husband and I and offered to not have us crammed next to this table -- We once again had a great meal - I got the Chang's Spicy Chicken and side of cucumbers -- both were tasty and definite winners! My husband had the Shrimp with Honeydew melon in it ( can't remember exact name) - he loved this dish! I have to say that one thing that really stood out in my mind was the "Flight of Wine" that I was able to order -- three choices of wine (2.5oz each) it was ONLY $10.00 - I just wish the server had mentioned to me that I could have gotten some better wine as I choose the least expensive wine by the glass, but it was still a very good deal for the price and well worth it! Our server, Sean, seemed to be very busy and did check on us a couple of times during the evening - he was friendly, not overly friendly, but I enjoyed that he was not in our face. He REALLY IMPRESSED us when I took out a PF Chang's and was not sure what to do with it, but he told us that we get a 10% discount with it and even though it was from 2009 he would still be able to honor the discount and told me how to update the card! GREAT Service!

I know it isn't "authentic". I know it is a chain restaurant. I know it is a litle bit pricer than other places. BUT I really enjoy eating here and that's what its all about. Maybe its because they don't have a buffet. We've eaten there four times since they first opened. The first two times we never paid anything close to full price because of problems delivering the meals or drinks. They seem to have gotten these problems corrected and the service seems to be smoother now. I'd call the food California Asian. Fresh tasting and not overly cooked. Similar to the Cheesecake Factory (next door). We always have steamed dumplings as a starter because the dough is so light it doesn't take away from the stuffing. Last visit husband had Kung Po shrimp which he called fantastic.

Just had my second visit to the new PF Chang's location in the Northshore Mall and the one thing that seemed consistent between the two visits is slow service. On my first visit, I sat at the bar and had to wait several minutes before being asked if I wanted a drink even though the bartender was right in front of us most of the time. On today's visit, we walked into a nearly empty restaurant around 12:30 for some lunch. I've never seen a PF Chang's so empty. The waiter remarked on how slow the day had been going, probably due to what seems like our thousandth snow storm so far this year. We ordered beverages and upon his return he introduced us to our new waiter. Apparently business was so slow this day they were sending staff home or something. The new waiter was extremely cordial, but service was a bit on the slow side, especially since there weren't that many parties in the restaurant. I consider myself very patient, but twenty minutes for our two meals is an awful long time to wait in a not-so-busy restaurant. Our waiter did stop by the table and apologize for the wait, however. I wish he had apologized with a free dessert or something, but whatever. I had the dan dan noodles which were very good. Vermicelli-style noodles in a spicy sauce with scallions, ground chicken, bean sprouts and cucumber. I'm big on spicy food and found these very satisfying. Very filling, too. It's not often I have to take a doggie bag home. I know these will make a fabulous lunch to bring to work tomorrow. After our meals, the waiter brought over the dessert shooter tray. I love this concept. Small, shot glass sized desserts that are only $2 and you don't feel guilty for eating. I had the carrot cake which made for a nice sweet end to my spicy meal. One thing this China bistro is lacking however...Chinese people!! I just find it really odd that I see no Chinese people working in the Chinese restaurant. Does this make me racist? I hope not. It's just an observation.

My husband and I went at noon on a Sunday. There was no wait at that time, but it did fill up over the next hour. The staff seemed overwhelmed and our waiter was humorless. We ordered two cups of soup, two appetizers, and one noodle dish. The soup took forever to appear. My husband got the hot & sour which he liked, but my egg drop was so gelatinous that it was almost solid which grossed me out. The flavor was ok, but it wa?)s more like egg drop Jello than soup. Next, the noodle dish came out before the apps (hello?) and the noodles were seriously undercooked. The server also tried to give it to the table next to us before realizing that he had the wrong table. Speaking of that table next to us, it was another couple who also ordered soup but never received it, despite inquiring about it at least three times. A server finally told them (after they were halfway done with their entrees) that the restaurant had - get this - run out of soup bowls! He had the good sense to be embarrassed about this at least. Our appetizers came out last but they were good (lettuce wraps and Peking dumplings), which is the only reason this review gets 2 stars. In keeping with the slow service, it took longer than it should have to get the check. There were two groups of people waiting for tables when we left and I was tempted to tell them not to bother. I didn't say it to them, but I am saying it to you - don't bother with P.F. Chang's!

ok..well my husband and i have been coming here since it opened. we have had up and down experiences..but today was just ridiculous. I took one of my friends here as i havent seen her for so long..and wanted to have a nice dinner together. We were there for over two hours waiting for food. we got the two dinners for 39.95..supposedly. After our waitress apologizing so many times for the kitchen..we finally got our food. Our waitress sarah stanley was amazing and so helpful. I went to talk to the manager because that is just crazy to wait all that time for your food. He was apologetic but didnt really do anything at all for us. But instead he brought our bill over to us and tried to make it sound like he was doing us a favor, when in fact he wasnt. instead of us paying 39.95 for our dinner, he went and charged us individually for each item that we got. Clearly bringing our bill much higher then it should have been. And then he took a discount off of that total. Clearly, Fendy Carrenard has no idea of how to manage a restaurant and he was very rude to Sara our server. He really needs to go or the customers will begin to dissapear as well.

Not only do they have a gluten-free menu, but it is also located on every menu! I have celiac disease and was served a gluten-free meal that was wonderful. I had the lettuce wraps, egg drop soup and chicken fried rice. The waiter, Steve, was new and gave the best service we've ever had and really did a perfect job with handling a gluten-free order. He kept our drinks full and made sure we had everything we needed. This is the first time that I have had Chinese food since being diagnosed with celiac disease. I'm pregnant and have had huge cravings for this food and they did not disappoint me one bit. I'll be returning to this restaurant!

Great experience & food. Seated immediately - not a busy Wednesday night. Waiter (Gerard) was very nice & very professional. Not overly attentive - just right. Clean cut kid very polite and respectful. I told him I wanted a drink - not too much alcohol - something slightly sweet. He suggested a "Poolside", which was definitely different for me, but I loved it - just what I was looking for. I ordered the Mongolian Beef, which was not listed as hot/spicy, which I found unusual, but it was what I wanted. It comes with steamed rice. This is my second time to a PF Changs, and both experiences left me wondering about high prices for smaller than normal chinese food portion sizes. I decided to not hold that against this review for this individual restaurant, because they don't set the prices. In the end, I got into an appropriately timed conversation with Gerard about my iPad and then the evening ended. A very good solid dining experience - but again - very pricey - only for special occasions or business. $39.92 ($6.00 tip) is too much for rice, mongolian beef, egg rolls and one drink - but I won't hold that against this individual restaurant. On the way out I told the manager about the great service.

4 stars for consistently good tasting american/chinese food and nice ambience and pretty good wait staff. Their drinks and appetizers are great and I totally love their some traditional and some not so traditional dishes like Dali Chicken. Since it's at North shore mall, it's really tough to get table unless you plan properly and put your name in before you go shopping or go at odd time.

I really want to love PF Changs, but I just cant do it... This location however is better to me than Cambridge, the menu seemed more extensive & its a little bigger... I wish it was more authentic & the prices are outrageous... The food is good dont get me wrong, well some of it is good... Had some sushi on this trip & it totally wasnt the best sushi Ive had.. I will probably go again because friends like it but it wont be my go to for my fave dishes...

Food was not the best. We got the crab wontons and those were good! But my husband got the sweet and sour pork and there was too much ginger in it and his brown rice was too sticky. I got chicken lomein and the noodles were gross! They reminded me of ramen noodles that sit out too long and get sticky. This was our first time there so I don't know how the food it supposed to look or taste, but my husband and I both didn't like it. We won't be back because we prefer typical buffet Chinese food which this place doesn't do. On a positive note our waiter was wonderful! Very nice guy and got a good tip. The atmosphere was nice as well.

I finally went to PF Changs. We Waited for hours. They gave us a free appetizer because we waited for hours. The soups were served in big family bowls, and were good. All the food was Just Fine. Americanized chinesy-ish, and seemed fresh and decent. The horse statues bumholes are hearts. See pic below. I'll probably be back w kids sometime. Won't wait 2.5 hours again though.

Ok at best. What I noticed right away was the paying and ordering system is confusing and the portions are REALLY small. I think the environment its dark and has a nice Chinese look but the food was OK but WAYYYY too salty to the point where I kind of felt sick, I'm not saying I wouldn't go back but It would not be my first choice to eat. Food: 5.5 Environment: 9 Service: 6 Cleanliness: 8 Price:5 Overall: 5.5

People who know really good authentic Chinese food will just make the trip to Chinatown to satisfy their craving. You'll get larger portions and it will cost less. But if you're at the mall or nowhere near the Chinatown in your area... then PF Chang's will do in a pinch. Though a lot more expensive than restaurants in Chinatown, most of Chang's dishes are tasty. Lettuce Wraps are good as are the Pan Fried Dumplings. We sat at the bar this time since seats were available. We started with martinis. Lemon Drop and Grey Goose Dirty. I wanted a Lychee Martini, however the bartender informed me that they don't make them anymore. Damn I should have done a little pre-game at home. I'm well stocked with plenty of canned lychee fruit in syrup on my countertop and Grey Goose in the freezer! I had a small order of Spicy Green Beans with Mongolian Beef and Scallions along with a serving of brown rice. Everything was deliciously prepared and I left the bar with a smile on my face.

P.F. Chang's, what happened? From the $9 whiskey sour that was all orange juice to the "dinner portion" full price gluten free Spicy Chicken that was the lunch portion size (served in less than 5 minutes - did you microwave it???) with ligaments and dark meat (yes, it's white meat - no it wasn't!) to the very pleasant bar staff that rushed our order (every 5 minutes - are you ready to order- we were the only ones there!!!!) our visit to your Peabody MA location was a complete disappointment. You were my go-to gluten free Chinese dining choice. I'll never come back. Oh, please check out my video of your air conditioning. Your restaurant is freezing, as well.

Went here on movie night with my mom. A nice clean restaurant with spacious booths. It was my first time here and our server was very helpful. Explaining their dipping sauces and house favorite. She was very pleasant and attentive. The Calamari was exceptional lightly battered on a bed of crisp rice noodles. The pepper rings were Hot and the lime zest was a cool and unique topping. Really enjoyed the sweet and spicy dipping sauce. I order the Chicken Pad Thai. Very tasty and complex. The noodles were cooked perfectly and we're not too heavy. There were crispy onions and sauteed scallions which gave the noodles a lovely zing. Crunchy nuts gave it a nice texture. Large pieces of sauteed chicken throughout. Topped with plenty of cilantro. Very delicious and satisfying.

Recommendations for appetizer is to get the spareribs with sauce and the lettuce wraps. The spareribs are on point without the sauce which is another option, they are just to dry. As for entrees, I highly recommend the eggplant which came to us very hot and a touch on the oily side but the sauce and the lightness of the pieces was perfection that melts on the tounge. We also ordered the Pad Thai which I would not suggest if you have high standards for authenticity - the chicken was dry as sand and it's not quite the sweet peanutty flavor of a Pad Thai. Aside from being dry it was tasty it just wasn't Pad Thai. The service was very good and they pay particular attention and care with allergens and have a specific method to protect customers from accidental contamination. As someone with allergies they were the most thorough that I have ever been exposed to such that they don't exclude you from enjoying all the meals that are safe - as opposed to telling you they aren't sure.

Awful food, EVEN WORSE IS THE PRICE YOU PAY! I will never go back to any PF Chang's again. The wait staff was friendly but that is the only thing that was good. Other than that, any Chinese take out for HALf the price (at least) will give you 10 times better food.

Today they redeemed themselves. We had a great waitress who was very sweet to my boy. We had the wonton soup which isn't my favorite there but it's not bad. I prefer no spinach in it and no shrimp. I really liked my sweet & sour chicken but the rice was hard once again but that's okay the chicken was amazing. My mom had honey chicken and really enjoyed it as well because it was crisp and refreshing.

It was a Sunday and my boyfriend and I couldn't decide on what we wanted to eat. After thinking it over, we settled on P.F. Chang's because he'd never eaten there. As lazy Sunday's go, we opted for take-out so we could eat in the comfort of our own living room. I'm the type that agonizes over what to order. It's usually best to give me a menu hours beforehand as that's how long it can take me to make up my mind. Well, eventually, I settled on the lettuce wraps. Something light. I took advantage of the fact that we could order online and off we headed to go pick up our meal. We arrived early so we hung out. It was pretty quiet in the restaurant. I think we had beat the dinner crowd. After a few minutes an employee came out with our food. He was double-checking the contents of the bag when he noticed we were missing some rice so he went back in the kitchen to grab it for us. I left feeling pretty darn good that we had everything and were going to have a delicious meal. His food came out of the bag. The filling for my wraps came out of the bag. The bag of sauces came out of the bag. Lettuce. Hellloooooo? Where are youuuuu? Yep. Lettuce wraps with no lettuce to wrap. Such an important component to the dish! How it was missed is beyond my comprehension. I think I'll just stick with the mom & pop Chinese restaurant down the street.

The worst food ever at of changs At Peabody... The resturant should be embarrassed at the attempt of calling this food passable... Called in a 100.00 $$$ order, first off on the list of crap was the orange chicken, it was cut in very small cubes looked like pressed dog food, not even edible, next up noodles of mush, just a mess...what a waste of time and money

I wish I could give zero stars, to match the amount of food I left with after wasting 45 minutes of my life. I realize New Years Eve is a busy night for eating out, but I placed my order online early in the day to be picked up at a specified time. Why isn't the ordering system smart enough to set a limit on orders so they can all be fulfilled? It was an angry mob scene at PF Chang's tonight and no one working there seemed at all concerned. There was one person working the takeout line that was basically taking over the restaurant and not a manager to be found. What a joke. I'll never bother with this dump again.

Stopped in for a drink and Apps on a Friday night, busy but we got seats at the bar immediately. Service was friendly, but not really in getting our order. Felt forgotten a bit, but bartender friendliness when she was there made up for it. Peking dumplings, Mongolian beef, our staples, were very good as usual. The drinks are small, not overpriced, prepared well but, they seem to go very quickly with all the ice the put in.

Came in without a reservation for my birthday with myself and my 12 friends (1 of which was very difficult). I was very impressed with how easily they were able to seat us, as a host myself I find it very hard when big walk ins come in and we have to find a table. Well they sat us and we had a friendly young waiter who looked no more than 20 years old. My table was very needy and annoying as most 18-21 year olds are. I had one member of the group that was not happy with anything he was given, which isnt the waiters fault or the chefs-he just didnt like it. Now typically I never go into Pf changs but after that night I will return. The waiter handled our party spectacularly. I would have thrown a drink at us if I were him. I was very impressed with the staff and environment of the restaurant. Not my favorite place to eat but the service and experience were quite great. The manager should be very proud of this young server, wish I had his name, but I was very impressed. I am in the restaurant business myself and I was surprised to see how calm and collected the man was seeing how needy and flat out horrible my party was.

DO NOT GO TO A PF CHANGS IF YOU HAVE A SHELLFISH ALLERGY. While this may seem like a ridiculous thing to say- actually shellfish allergies are more common than you'd think, and while I don't expect every restaurant on the face of the earth to cater to people who have weird food allergies, I'd at least like to go out to a place where not everything is loaded with oyster sauce. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner and were promptly seated and ordered drinks. We were then asked (after our drinks came) if anyone had food allergies. I said that I had a shellfish allergy but I didn't usually make a big deal out of it and it would be fine. The server said "no no- theres a special menu I have to bring you". I said- fine. Waited 15 minutes.... and.... I got the menu. Literally nothing on it. There were maybe one or two appetizers that were remotely interesting. The only entrees that I could order were either chicken, or chicken, and one pork thing that sounded totally gross. And even from that list- there were only two options!!! Normally I would have said thanks but no thanks, but we already had a table and an open bill for our drinks. To get up at 9:30- go to a different restaurant and do the whole thing all over again just seemed totally ridiculous. I wound up eating pad thai, which was on the same level as any thai takeaway, except for a thai takeaway would have been way cheaper. Bottom line... I could hardly eat anything on the menu. My mojito was watery. It was expensive. The restaurant was dead on a Friday night but it was impossible to hear my boyfriend speak because the crappy 90s music was turned up so loud. (I know... we're the rare adults who talk during a meal rather than dicking around on our iphones.) Just overall underwhelming. Skip it and get takeaway from somewhere in your neighborhood.

First time visit and we Loved it! My Brother and Sister in-law took us last night for dinner and it was awesome. Fresh, no MSG to leave us thirsty as heck and fresh/reasonably priced offerings. The menu offered a dinner for two option and both couples went with this so we got to sample a little bit of everything. Egg Drop soup was excellent and tasty. The Vegetable spring rolls are the best I've had yet (yes even better than Carnival Cruise Line's Spring Roll). Crispy, flaky warm and stuffed with fresh goodness, we ate them all. The Hand Folded Crab Wanton's are worth the trip alone, absolute perfection. The Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps were a first and very good, I'd definitely order these again. I had the Kung Pao Chicken, it was different that other places, it was fresh, cooked with care and slightly spicy with plenty of peanuts. It will be hard to go back to the way I've become accustomed to Kung Pao, I'm spoiled. I don't care for Ginger but the Ginger Chicken with Broccoli is delicately seasoned and absolutely wonderful. The chicken was unbelievably tender and the broccoli was just right, not wilted but slightly crunchy. Crispy Honey Shrimp is very interesting and I could have eaten the whole thing if I didn't have to share. The Sesame Chicken was slightly spicy and was excellent with broccoli and red bell peppers. All came with your choice of white or brown steamed rice. At the end there was a nice selection of deserts included. Salted Caramel Cake was a wonderful end to the meal as was the decadent Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch. Bring your sweet tooth. Since we mentioned we had never been there before they were kind enough to give us each a $10 gift card to get us to come back (as if we needed coaxing). We enjoyed our meals completely and will most definitely be back soon!

Let me start by saying I love PF Changs. I have been to them all over the country and never had a bad experience. This one needs to get it together. The service was mediocre and the only reason we were there was because my sister had such a terrible experience the last time she was there that they gave her a 25 dollar gift card. We wanted to have a quick lunch because we had some shopping to do at the mall but everything took forever and it wasn't really that busy. The food was good, I had the Kung Pao Scallops and they were delicious. However, when it was finally time to pay, we gave them the gift card (that let me remind you my sister got for bad service) and they said it was declined. Ummm...what? The waitress said she was too busy to ask the manager about it and proceeded to ask questions about where we got it, when we got it etc. We told her we didn't care how busy it was, she needed to check with the manager. She came back a few minutes later and said they would honor it. Overall, I still love PF Changs but I probably won't be heading back to this location any time soon.

Worst Chinese food i have ever tasted and some of the most expensive food i have ever saw. Not worth anyones money.

Came here on a Monday night, Mike was our waiter he was great! The food was Absolutely delicious. I had candied walnut shrimp and I had to picture myself as a big fat person in order not to eat it all. I am highly recommending this restaurant. My aunt and I will 100% be back.

I called to place an order for a pick up. I got the orange and ginger edamames and the hostess was extremely nice she reassured me it'll take about 5 minutes I got there and the manager Chris made sure I was being taken care of. About 15 minutes later still nothing. So I waited a little more by the bar and the bartender asked me for my name and rung up my bill. Chris than came out and apologize and offered to pay for them. Which was awesome so I took it. He left but then the bartender came and scooped up my cash while I told her about the situation and so I hear her in the back kitchen saying with so much additude "why are you paying" blah blah. Mind you I can hear everything. & so a minute later Chris comes out and hands me my cash. Thanks buddy I appreciate it btw I love there edamames I wish I can give 5 stars but the bartender was extremely unprofessional and rude busy or not!!!

The service is very good, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, and they have an awesome menu. The food, however, is bad. I ordered kung pao chicken. To my surprise, the chicken was completely black. It tasted salty and burnt. I love kung pao chicken so I tried to make the best of it. I cut my egg role in half and about 4 tablespoons of oil poured out of the egg role into a stream onto my plate. Holy cow! Same thing happened with the crab wontons. The bartender (who was very nice) saw what happened and notified the manager, who said that the kitchen staff didn't wrap the food tight enough before they fried it. She comped one appetizer off my bill and gave me a free appetizer coupon for my next visit. I tried hard to eat what I could, but felt so ill that I cancelled my afternoon of shopping and barely made it home before getting sick. No way will I go back. If you want upscale Chinese food, head to Sugar Cane down the street.

A takeout order is over an hour wait? SERIOUSLY?? No thanks! Went to Su Changs and picking it up in 15 min

Here is an update. Shortly after posting my review of the Peabody P.F. Chang on June 23, I used their Web site to give them feedback about my experience. A few days later I received an email reply apologizing for the lack of attention from the manager and an assurance that someone from Guest Relations had spoken to Nick who oversees operations at the Peabody location. Additionally, I was provided with a complimentary gift card. I am satisfied and believe this to be an appropriate response.

Horrible experience. Luke warm food. Bland gluey noodles( pad Thai) , crispy chicken luke warm not crispy - general gau's gone bad. Manager kept going from table to table apologizing. Not going back - ever

Ok, we went back last night and ,,,,,,,,,, the crab wontons were served with the middle filling still cold. They fixed it quickly and they were fine. Next ALWAYs serve the Females first!!! When seated I was the first handed a menu and when food came out I was the first served. Well the food was auctioned "who had the shrimp" I did so I got served first. Barry the server was very nice and keep drinks refilled on time, but... do not serve drinks by holding them over the top by the rim of the glass, I do not want to drink from where your fingers are. Other than that the food was great and a good time was had by all.

First off, I would have expected to give a P.F. Chang location a 4-5 stars - despite the hype, I personally love the the decor and food. However, the Peabody location was a bit of a let down considering the standards that I associated with this franchise. Here's a break-down: Speed: 2.5/5 Slow in terms of seating. We came for lunch, and the hostess said it would be about a 5-10 minutes wait. I took a quick scan of the location, and noted that only about 40% of the seats were filled. Strange right? Well, since it was only 5 - 10 minutes, we figured "whatever" and waited. And waited. Waited past the 10 minute line, with more people coming in and waiting (and one table even getting seated before us). Say what? After 20 minutes, we went up to ask about our table, and we were brought to a table that was empty since we arrived. Mmk.. well, thanks for making us wait near the chilly door. Cool beans. However, the speed in terms of our orders being taken and food being served wasn't too bad, and served at a decent speed. Service: 4/5 Our server was extremely friendly - we did tease him behind his back when he asked "You've been here before right?" and us, thinking he meant in general P.F. Changs, nodded our heads, he replied "Ah, I knew I've served you guys before! Welcome back!" Haha, we got a kick out of that, joking with each other and saying "Damn, all asians do NOT look alike, come on!" Joking aside, our server was fairly prompt, friendly and helpful. However, he wasn't the most outstanding server (had to request for half of our table's water to be refilled.. very important for me!), and the fact that we had to wait to be seated for so long docks a point off service. Food Taste/Quality: 2/5 Most important part, and yet one of the lowest scoring for this review. The best dish was probably their lettuce wrap.. thank goodness this remained constant. Their rice was.. hard, dry, not very good. I don't know how you can mess up with white rice, but they did. The H&S Soup was okay - not the best, but not the worst. Their main dishes however was poorly done as well. I had their Beef a la Sichuan, and I found their beef to be slightly overcooked and overly salty (instead of being spicy, as I was expecting). My girlfriend had their Kung Pao Shrimp, which also ended up being too salty, with a lack of sauce (literally, the shrimp was glazed with the sauce, and the dish itself had no residual sauce for the rice). We also tried one of their special dishes, Basil Thai Noodles, which we found to be bland. Definitely something wrong with what the chefs are doing in the kitchen. Value: 2.5/5 Value would have been a 4 - this is slightly pricey Chinese food (sometimes, you can find a local mom and pop restaurant that offers the same cheap prices found in other restaurants that tastes amazing). However, considering the speed and food quality, and the fact the price was the same, this drops to a 3. Ambiance: 5/5 One thing they got right, which I think is not to do for a franchise. The decor is the same as what you would find in any other P.F. Changs, which I personally enjoy. A slightly dark, candle lit type dining area, with many traditional Chinese decorations such as paintings, chinese statues, ect. It gives a feel of a slightly upscale Chinese setting, allowing for a relax mood. No problems here. Overall, not impressed considering I've experienced better P.F. Changs. If this was my first experience, maybe this would get closer to a 4. Plus unfortunately, being a franchise, there are certain minimums that each location must meet, and Peabody Changs seem to be struggling with that.

Went to the North Shore Mall PF Changs a couple of nights ago with my boyfriend to enjoy some delicious food. We were sat within 15 min of arriving. We put in our meal orders 10 min after sitting, which is great. My boyfriend and I ordered the Spring Rolls and Thai Basic Salad respectively. I specifically asked for the salad as an appetizer, but the waiter said something like "I'll bring that out with the meals" in a mumbled voice as he walked away. Why can't I get my salad as an appetizer? Is that so unusual? STRIKE ONE. Next, as we sat there we realized that our waiter didn't make us those mixed sauces. I've been to PF Changs many times before and they always prepare a sauce before the meal comes out. STRIKE TWO. My boyfriend got served the Spring Rolls first and unsurprisingly the Thai basil salad came out with the rest of our food. After our food gets dropped off we both notice that the waiter has not checked up on us for a good 20 min. He comes by and asks how everything is and gives us some water. Of course it was too late by this point, we had already eaten most of our meals, so we didn't bother telling him how he had messed up. STRIKE THREE Lastly, after his last checkup we didn't see him for another 30 min. We almost contemplated getting up and leaving, but we didn't. We waited and waited watching him pass by us numerous times across the restaurant. We also witnessed him standing around and chatting with his coworkers for a decent amount of time. Finally he shows up and asks if we are all set. We say yes and he gives us the check. We paid and left the location wondering why the service was so poor.

The service at this PF Chang's is atrocious! I went there earlier today with two friends and we ended up walking out because nobody ever came over to wait on us during the 10 minutes that we sat in the booth. Now I am a reasonable person; if the restaurant was busy, I could see where this might happen, but that was not the case. We were there at about 3 PM and were one of the only tables. To top it off, there was a group of what looked like managers standing around and talking, not paying attention to the horrible service being offered! When we left, we went to the Cheesecake Factory, which was MUCH busier and were served right away. This same experience happened when I was there before and it took more a looooonnnng time to get our food and an even longer time to get our check. Bad service. I am giving two stars of one because I've been to other PF Chang's that were pretty good. If you're in the mood for a decent chain restaurant in the North Shore, go somewhere else.

First time at a PF Chang's for me. We went for lunch on Friday. Almost empty which I found surprising, more folks came in while we were there but not what I'd expect for a Friday lunch crowd. Service was decent and food was OK but my Kung Pao Chicken wasn't that spicy and the hot peppers were seriously lacking heat (I like spice). For lunch, the prices are quite high. Nothing special here.

Went to PF Chang's tonight at about 8 pm. Not particularly busy. Sat at bar. Based on this experience, would not return. Bartenders not very attentive, seemed like they did not like each other. One spent most of her time chatting up the girlfriend of another employee. Appetizers were good, rest of food pretty mediocre. Maybe these are the reasons the Cheesecake Factory had a wait and PF Changs had lots of empty tables.

Came here on a busy Saturday afternoon. Lots of people were out shopping at the mall and PF Changs was packed, but we got seated right away. My friend went to the ATM 5 minutes after we sat down and came back 5 minutes after and we were still waiting for a server to come over to us. After 15 minutes, I went to the host stand and informed someone that no one has been over to us yet while I overheard 2 servers bussing tables right next to ours that they weren't sure who's table it was. The manager offered us chicken lettuce wraps on the house and was very apologetic about the wait. The food runner brought out the wrong appetizer at first, but quickly went back and got the right one. When our entrees and rice came out, he brought it to the wrong table. The egg rolls are okay. There's more vegetables and rarely any meet in it. The chicken lettuce wraps are always good there. It was our first time trying the calamari there and we thought it would be the asian salt and pepper style, but you had to dip it in a ramekin of salt and pepper, which made it too salty. Our entrees and brown rice were delicious. Overall, I gave this location 2 stars because of the service. I thought it was slow and poor. I love coming to PF Changs for the food, but would probably go to a different location for better service.

Always disappointed and this was the last straw. Their service sucks and they never bring the food out in a timely fashion. Sometimes you get one appetizer and then the other appetizer with the entrees. Tonight I was hungover and we ordered takeout. PF chang's food quality is the equivalent of Chinese fast food and we needed something carbo-loaded to cure the hangover. Anyway. . . They told me 45 minutes till pickup. Ok fine, but my husband shows up 45 later and they told him it will be at least another 30 minutes. F$&@ You PF Changs. That is unacceptable. We cancelled the order and my husband walked across to Cheesecake Factory. He received his new order in less than 30 minutes. Much less time than the 75 minutes He'd need to wait for some god damn faux chinese food. Its only rice and noodles you idiots. Jesus Christ I own a rice cooker and it isn't exactly rocket science. Your not cooking French cuisine over there a$$holes get you crap together. Usually I don't get so mad but this isn't the first time I've had a bad experience at this restaurant. I'm done and I urge you to go to Cheesecake or (my personal favorite) Burton's instead.

I was kinda disappointed. the service was good, ordered broccoli beef, the beef was quite tender, but the dish was way too saucy and salty. wish I could wash off the saltiness with the water. Also ordered wanton soup, also salty as well - maybe the chef there loves salty food.

Came for apps. Yelp crowd seemed disappointed in this location. Our server and food were awesome. Our last time here was takeout and it was not strong. But they more than met our expectations this time. 5spice ribs, fried green beans, chicken lettuce wraps, pork dumplings were delicious. Edamame, crab wontons, and 5 star wontons were decent. Overall good experience.

Kinda on the pricey side for the quality of food you get. The meal started with soup, I got hot & sour and my friend got the egg drop. Our waiter noticed I hadn't eaten mine and asked me if it was ok, I politely told him I didn't care for it and he offered to bring me any of the other soups. I thanked him and asked for the egg drop, it was much better than the hot & sour. We had the spring rolls and crab wantons for starters and the sauces they come with are all different and pretty good. My friend ordered the orange peel chicken, which she said was satisfying. And I ordered the asian grilled norwegian salmon with brown rice. For a chain restaurant it was amazing. The fish was fresh, the asparagus was cooked perfectly. I'd eat here again.

Chinese food for me is tough. Once you've eaten at the Wok in Deerfield, MA, there's the Wok and everything else. The egg rolls at Chang's are all right, but the Wok's are still untouchable. I also got the spicy chicken which was pretty good. NEVER get a drink if your ordering out here. I paid $3 for a 16 oz. soda. Please. The banana spring rolls are alright. The Piña Colada ice cream isn't very good. It's incredibly bitter and for your first few bites tastes like eating raw butter. Obviously they expect you to mix everything. Chang's is alright. Another serviceable Chinese restaurant for when your nowhere near the Wok.

I run and operate my own restaurant and it is tough and I mean tough to enjoy a night out and or away from the business. My girlfriend took me out for a belated birthday dinner and I gotta say for the first time EVER being at one of your locations I was impressed all around. From our server to the m.o.d. To the food and as busy as it was you might see or expect less but Not at all...great job to you all and wish you the best of luck. And while there low and behold got see after an omg amount of years a past co- worker of my from my waitering days working the floor...GREAT NIGHT ALL AROUND

P.F. Chang's... What happened!!!!!! First let me go back to the first time we experienced P.F. Chang's, It was Vegas and a friend raved about your establishment. I must say he was spot on and you had a new faithful customer. Well, back home we had Boston and we would make a regular visit to what became our favorite Restaurant. Then like Paul Revere, the word went out that Chang's was coming to the North Shore Mall. We ventured to the new eatery and found it was total chaos, But one thing stood out, the food.. Fresh, Exciting and a welcome addition to the pallet. So, What The Hell Happened !!!! Last night, my Wife and I were on the road coming back from a business engagement and decided we would stop in at Chang's for some Take Out... This is what we ordered: Pork dumpling: $6.25 GF Moo Goo Gai Pan: $13.75 Lo Mein: $9.95 Dan Dan Noodles: 10.45 Well let us start with the Dumplings.. I can buy the same thing at Trader Joe's FROZEN for $4.45 a bag, serve six people and call it a meal.. We got six dumplings that were dry, over-cooked and just plain Nasty.. Well, we move on to the entrees!!! Moo Goo Gai Pan.. If I wanted to get a Half filled portion of Corn Starch, I would have come home and made an Arm and Hammer Milk shake... This had NO flavor, and for what we paid, We received one spoonful out of the oversized container. So where do we go from here: OH, The LOW Mein !!! Call it a quarter portion of nothing but stuck noodles of STARCH.... This was so bad, that I looked at my wife and asked if she wanted me to bring it all back, Next Up: Dan Dan Noodles: Well, The Starch Conspiracy continues. This had yellow noodles, with a medley of un-formiliar mush of what was listed as chicken?? Some may ask, why we did not return the food?? Well, we live a bit away and the shock of how bad it was just put us over the edge.. In closing, You went commercial. You lost your place of what you held so true. Freshness.. Some of us can remember a franchise that headed in the same direction you are going.. They were called Howard Johnson's.. The only thing I can remember from them is REALLY BAD MACARONI & CHEESE.... So, where did our order end up?? The Dispose ALL !!!!

The apps here are not your typical Chinese apps no greasy pupu platters here. The apps were very good. For main dishes we had the Dan Dan noodles and the sesame chicken. The noodles had a good sauce on them but the noodles tasted like over cooked spaghetti. The chicken had no crispness to it, it had good flavor. The prices here are to high for me to be a regular when I can get better Chinese down the street from my house.

Ah pf changs. Well, what can I say besides i'll never go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone. I've been here once before and once or twice in boston and i honestly don't know what's taken me so long to realize that its not worth it. The food is overpriced, tasteless and did I mention overpriced? Someone else mentioned the music and I 100% agree...usually im not picky with music as I go to eat but it was obnoxious and didn't fit the atmosphere. So onto the food. Hot and sour soup app- tasty but the cup is not really enough and the bowl has about 4 full servings which is pricey AND way too much for one person...how bout an in between size?! Steamed veggie dumplings- taste was...not existent, the dough was tough and chewy and was too much of it, they were luke warm. Coconut curry vegetables and tofu- veggies were good but the tofu was soggy and the taste of the dish was not what we expected. My bf is a proud clean plate club member but even he left this meal unfinished and declined a box. Singapore street noodles- oh man, well the description on the menu said something about mixed vegetables with rice noodles and tasty sauce of some sort. So im thinking its asian stir fry veggies, well I get the meal and it had no flavor, I mean it tasted like I boiled up plain pasta and threw it on a plate. Not too mention the "mixed vegetables" consisted of scallions, and halves of grape tomatoes! Grape tomatoes?! And tons of them. This meal was a complete disappointment and I turned me off this place forever. 2 stars because our waitress was super sweet, and asked me repeatedly about my meal as I was just pushing it around the plate. Well I never complain but I finally told her that the dish had no flavor and the veggies were out of place and not what I expected. She came back in 5 minutes apologizing profusely and had the manager take my meal off the bill, which I thought was really great and unexpected. Even with my meal comped I think $25 for a terrible lunch is highway robbery. Beware the "trendy" factor at places like shitty changs, give me a dingy tiny trailor with an asian lady in the kitchen serving noodle bowls any day of the week.

I love it here! I came with my friend and sat at the bar for drinks. But as we re watching the food come out we couldn't resist. We had some appetizers, crab wontons, cucumber and tomato salad and the lettuce wraps. The lettuce wraps are a given. We always get these. They're the perfect combination of crunchy, fresh and filling. The tomato and cucumber salad was so refreshing! The perfect side dish. The crab wontons are my favorite over any other Chinese restaurant. They actually have crab in them!

I have been to PF Chang's many times at different locations. This was my first time here at the North Shore Mall Location. The waiter was nice and worked hard to help us. We were a party of 4 and came in at 6:00, we were sat by 6:05. So far so good. The waiter came by and ordered our drinks and took our app. order and the main course. Drinks came and 15 min later the App came. At this point, the waiter said that he would put in our order for the rest of the order as he took that when we placed the app. The remainder of the order arrived at 7:25. The Ribs came out 10 min after everything else. It took 50. I don't mind a wait, if they tell you up front, but to not let anyone know that they are 2 cooks short and that orders will take the better part of an hour is not cool. My parents had never been to PF Chang's before, and before we went, we almost went to Sue Chang's down the street...wish we had... Save yourself the time and go to Sue Chang's on Lowell Street in Peabody, less than a mile from PF Chang's

PF Chang's is one of those places that is just gonna be packed on friday nights. It's a chain that generally people in suburbia love, because it's fancy Chinese food. So there's a lot of people that don't like it because they find Chinese food is best served greasy, at 3am, and delivered to your door. I hate to review a place like this because its so streamlined from location to location, but I haven't been out in like a week and have to get my yelp fix. I went to PF Chang's for a birthday dinner for my friend Belynda, and so there was a decent size group. Simply because of the celebratory nature of the dinner, I had a good time and enjoyed it. PF Chang's wasn't so bad that it ruined the night. The good: They had woodford reserve, which was great, cause i like my bourbon. They had incredibly spicy chicken. A plate full of cut up chicken breast, with a hot chilli sauce, YES. PLEASE. MORE. Sadly, I couldn't get enough of it. The not so good: The rice, was m'eh. The waiter was awkwardly close when talking to me, and almost clocked me in the head with a plate. The place was pricey. Over all I would go back for the spicy chicken, it was simple, flavorful and delicious. Though I don't have a lot of interest in trying anything else. I'm a simple guy who doesn't like veggies, so give me some good flavored meat and i'm happy. Though I'd either sit at the bar, or order it to go...then i could pick up dessert at the neighboring cheesecake factory... nom nom nom... but yeah, it's pf chang's, it looks like it tries to hard, but you might be able to find something on the menu you like.

From a gluten free point of view this place is great. There's a GF section on the main menu not a separate one. They had GF chicken fried rice without vegetables so my 4yr old daughter was happy. The manager brought out the GF food separately and they use different plates so they stand out more. The only issue was that they brought out fortune cookies that were not GF (instead of not bringing them out at all) so my daughter was sad when she found out she couldn't eat them.

I feel down right bad writing this review, but it was a less than thrilling experience to say the least. Let me preface this review by saying I've been to the P. F. Chang's in downtown Boston many many times and was never treated poorly and always had a great experience. I guess this is why I am a bit shocked. Made reservations here for 5:30pm on a Sunday. We were promptly greeted and taken to our table in the corner, near the kitchen. For a Sunday, not only was the place pretty slow but it was kind of dirty (straw wrappers and napkins strewn about the waiting/dinning area). Our waiter came over right away and started to explain the sauces he was preparing/presenting on our table. I was a bit irked because he never made eye contact. Not once. He was continuously just looking around the room. Not sure what was so important around the dining area, considering it was early and the restaurant was pretty empty. He left us alone to peruse the menu. We had made our selections and closed our menu's. This usually prompts a waiter/waitress to come over for your order. Unfortunately not ours. Not even when I made eye contact with him. He was to busy talking to another waiter near the register. Sigh... When he finally came over to take our order, he explained to us the salt and pepper calamari would come out before the pan seared dumplings as it takes longer to make. We were okay with this, no big deal. It was literally 2 minutes from when we placed our order until we received the calamari, which leads me to believe it wasn't fresh. Took a few bites, wasn't bad, toward the end of the pile though it wasn't crispy at all, actually it was down right soggy. Yuck! The dumplings were just okay, nothing to write home about. We ordered garlic noodles, sesame chicken, and orange peel chicken (entrees also come with your choice of brown or white rice). Both entrees have the little spicy symbol next to each, but both dishes were not spicy in the least. In fact they were down right bland. The sesame chicken had a sprinkle of sesame seeds and no broccoli like the menu states. The orange peel chicken had a bit of orange peel but no real orange flavor. In fact the only "spicy" part of the meal were the garlic noodles. They actually weren't half bad. The waiter did come by to ask how our meal was, although he still didn't make eye contact. Honestly, if you don't have pride in your job, or don't like your job for that matter, don't let it show, or find another one. He actually was bussing some tables behind us and left the dirty dishes at the table next to us on the seat. I will say he did refill our drinks promptly and asked if we wanted others, but it was to little to late for me. Ahhh...P.F. Chang's I feel disenchanted now...you make me realize why I frequent chain restaurants so infrequently...

Food was at best average and pricy. Service was horrible. Ordered two apps and they came out 15mins apart. Waiter checked on us once for refills on drinks. Once we were ready to pack up left overs and head home it took 45mins after telling waiter to wrap the rest to go. Def won't be going back here.

Love the gluten free menu, and the care and attention they pay to allergy safe dining. Plus it is just yummy! I like the Chang Spicy Chicken, but made with shrimp, the Pepper Steak, the Mongolian Beef, and of course, their famous lettuce wraps. Truly one of my favorite casual dining restaurants bar none.

My Husband took me out for Valentine's dinner here last night. I had read the mixed reviews so was hoping we would have a great experience and we did! First of all, our waitress was wonderful, doting and helpful in just the right amounts. Also, the manager did come by and ask how we were enjoying the night. So really 5 stars for service. The food was excellent. We got hot n sour soup and the chk wraps (chosen based on other reviews) for starters and yummy! the soup tasted fresh and the wraps were out of this world good! Our dinner were just the right size, he got the sesame chicken and i got the Beef a la sichaun. Now i chose that bc the menu said it was the spiciest beef dish, well it wasnt it had a baby kick....but our waitress brought me a lil cup of the sichaun sauce and THAT made it perfect. Desserts were the mini ones, he got the choco mouse and I got the rasp cheese cake.....very small...but if youre trying to watch the sweets these are perfect, just enough to feel like you actually got a taste. The ONLY reason this place didnt get five stars is bc we asked for the prix fixe that was supposed to be $39.95...perfect for a night out. Well we got our bill and it wasnt that...it was more like $50 (btw yes we had drinks but we had that on a separate bill). WE didnt make a fuss bc overall the meal was def great and worth it either way. Next time when we order we will make sure that is the price before hand... Def check this place out!

Me and a friend came in on a Friday night, it was pretty pack and the atmosphere was great. However, the good news stops there. The waitress we had was very impatient and was not very friendly. The food was mediocre, something you could probably find at any other restaurant.

Our waiter was excellent, very helpful and always around to grab refills. Highlight of the experience and worth two and a half stars alone. And it is impossible to be mad at deep fried green beans Everything else? PFFFFFFFFT When my spice averse girlfriend can order the dish your menu claims is the spiciest thing you've got: PFFFFFFFT Chang's. When I order a curry that tastes similar to a dish I can order at a Thai place down the street for a bigger portion and smaller price. PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT Chang's. That said, I didn't go in expecting much so my expectations were exceeded by our waiter and our meal was free (thanks to a gift card). But I can't see going back unless someone dragged me along for a birthday dinner or something.

I had not been to Changs before and had a terrific lunch there yesterday with my son and daughter. Our server, Amber, couldn't have been nicer and was very well versed on the menu. We ordered the Lettuce Wraps, Edamame and Peking Duck Summer rolls for apps and were very pleased. The lunch menu for combo plates was very reasonable and you get soup or salad and rice with them. The manager stopped by to inquire about our meal which was a nice touch. All in all, a great experience. VERY Chinese American but well prepared with really terrific service.

A chinese restauant with a Gluten Free menu, get 4 stars in my book! Yes, they are busy, and its a great restaurant to go with a large party of at least 5 people, so you don't suffer if you order the wrong dish. I have a fantastic time when I come here: - house fried rice - great - gluten free egg drop soup = bland (bring your own braggs's) - gluten free - singapore rice noodles (bland but great to accompany other dishes) - lemon scallops, gluten free - pretty good, light and lemony - garlic beef - amazing - shirmp dumplings boiled - very good - port dumplings pan seared - very good - spring rolls, and egg rools - very good, sweet and sour sauce - AMAZING! - salted shrimp - amazing - dan dan noodles - pass on this one - beer selection great - wonton soup Service - very attentive and good. I definately enjoyed my meal here. We had tons of left overs and really enjoyed them the following day. Like all restaurants really need to know what to order. Go for lunch and then you won't be too bitter spending a little for stuff you don't like!

A lot of mixed reviews on Yelp for this place... I took my finicky grandmother here for a pre-Thanksgiving meal since I was going to be out of town for the holiday. We went on a Sunday, mid afternoon, and were seated right away. Service was never an issue as in previous reviews. Our server checked in on us often and explained the dished as well as the sauces. I got the Chang's Spicy Chicken since I like General Tso's Chicken. While it was very good... it looked like I ordered it off the kids menu with small pieces of chicken and not much rice. I always like to bring home the leftovers, but wasn't happening this day. It wasn't greasy like most Chinese places. It wasn't very spicy either which was good. I ended up adding some of the hot sauces, which I would rather do than the chef. My grandmother ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan and absolutely raved about it over and over again. She also had plenty of leftovers for the next day. Without question, I would return here again and probably get an appetizer.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why this place is always as busy as it is. For ages, all I've heard from people is how wonderful P.F. Chang's is. I had even attempted to go a few times before, but I could never stomach the hourlong wait to be seated. As it turns out, it's a very good thing that I never waited that long - it simply would have added insult to injury. We were seated at a table that was about 12 feet away from the entrance, which meant that we felt a cold drafty breeze any time someone entered or exited the restaurant. There shouldn't have been a table in that spot at all - but that's hardly the worst of my experience. We ordered the Sichuan chicken flatbread as an appetizer, I ordered the Chang's spicy chicken for my entree, and my boyfriend ordered the orange chicken. The "flatbread" came out a few minutes later and we almost didn't believe it was what we had ordered... it was an undercooked quesadilla. Yes, a quesadilla. In a Chinese restaurant. Sure, the tortilla had scallions in it, but it was still not at all what I had expected. Add to that the fact that the cheese (yes, cheese!) inside was a bunch of unmelted shreds, and, well... yeah. Not so delicious. Out came our entrees, and the first thing we noticed was the relatively small portion size. Not a huge deal, but for around $14 each, we had expected something a little more substantial. My Chang's spicy chicken was alright - nothing to write home about, but it was edible. My boyfriend's orange-flavored chicken was not orange-flavored at all, but rather tasted like someone had pan-fried some cubes of chicken breast and dumped some bottled barbecue sauce on top. They did think to garnish the side of the plate with a little bit of orange zest, at least, but neither of us could eat much of his food - we ended up essentially splitting mine and calling it a night. All of this cost me a bit over $40 with tax and tip. AND IT WAS NOT WORTH THAT AT ALL. The only reason this place gets two stars instead of one is that the server was very pleasant, if perhaps a bit hard to get a hold of when we had a question or needed a drink refill. From now on, I know that we should just go to Fu Loon in Malden or Lee Chen in Lawrence when we're looking for delicious, non-greasy, and *affordable* Chinese food in a sit-down restaurant. And to this overhyped chain, I say, "F.U., Chang's."

9/14/2013 From 5 stars to 3 stars - the food was cold & some undercooked except the rice came out steaming hot. The waiter put the kids meal in front of my g-son & it was so hot - COMMON SENSE. Waitress had no personality!!! 12/28/2010 Another great time!!!! Sat at the bar waiting for booth and decided to stay there the bartendar Joe A. was awesome & great personality!!!! Try the Bomb Pop Martini & lettuce wraps. Also, did take out - shrimp w walnuts amazing.

I was excited to try P.F. Chang because they have a gluten free menu, but I really regret subjecting my taste buds to their food. I've eaten at this location twice. The first time my food had a strange lighter fluid like taste and the second time everything had a strange sweetness to it (even the house friend rice was sweet). Next time I have a craving for GF Chinese food I will go to Oye's in Reading

This was a stop after going to a wake of someone I was really close to, we had a gift card from my brother and his girlfriend and since we had never been there and knew dinner probably wasn't going to happy at home so I grabbed the gift card on the way out and was prepared to indulge. We started with Kirin Light Beer bottled for me and PBR Draft for my husband. The Kirin was a bit more watered down then I expected but it was good none the less. Then we dug into Shrimp Lo Mein, Salt and Pepper Calimari, & Spring Rolls. The Shrimp Lo Mein was light and perfectly mixed with veggies, sauce and shrimp. The Calimari was yummy and light, the sauce that came with it was awesome and the spring rolls were awesome! There was a 45 minute wait but we asked if there was any space at the bar and were quickly given a cozy little table at the end of it. We were actually finished and paid by the time we would have been seated if we waited. Our server, Greg, who was also the bartender was easy to get a hold of when needed and very helpful. He actually didn't notice the gift card, ran our card through then within a minute had reversed everything and we were out the door. This is definitely a go to for me now. Because really the only other choices in the area have been let downs lately and the service here was awesome.

I've been twice with friends who wanted to go. Food is decent but nothing special for the prices. $15.95 for kung pao shrimp that comes with no veggies. At the chinese resturant in Danvers square the same thing is $9.95. The one plus is that P.F. Changs has brown rice. They don't even give you free tea. A cup of tea was like an extra $3. One thing I like about Chinese places is cheap drinks like at China Jade in Beverly where it's like $5 dollars for a mai tai. P.F. Changs was like $8. Skip it and go to Su Changs behind the mall

We stopped at this PF Chang's for a late lunch this past Saturday. Their gluten free menu is excellent - lots of delicious choices - and this visit was no exception. We shared the GF Shaking Beef and the GF Ginger Chicken - preceded of course by the GF Chicken Lettuce Wraps. All the items were fresh, vegetables crisp tender, sauces flavorful. That beef is amazing - just a bit of a spicy zing. The service was quite good even though we were served by a waiter "in training" - as he was closely supervised. Our waters were filled when needed, etc. He brought over the tray of sauces and mixed them up gluten free. I need to be very careful at restaurants which claim to serve gluten free food, since many places do not really know how this should work. My husband and I discovered PF Chang's in Richmond, VA in 2009 and ever since then we have sought one out when we traveled. There have been a few locations that have been disappointing regarding food quality, but never from cross contamination with gluten. We look forward to visiting this location again.

Worst food I've ever eaten!!! I'm not even a picky eater and I left very hungry. 4 different appetizers and several main courses were inedible. Waste of money, the place looked nice but the food was terrible!!!

Five months later and this place still hasn't gotten its act together. The lunch service was alarmingly slow for 1:15 on a weekday. We didn't get out until 3pm. I'd understand if we ordered a bunch of complicated dishes, but three of us ordered "lunch boxes" and the fourth ordered a plate of chow fun. We also got an order of the chicken lettuce wraps as well as the salt-and-pepper calamari. It took us forever to get our entrees, and when they did arrive, they were cold. Go figure. The presentation of the food was also alarming. For the "lunch boxes" the white rice was served with huge clumps. This would be unacceptable even at a cafeteria in Taiwan, yet P.F. Chang's is supposed to be upscale "Chinese" cuisine? The salt-and-pepper calamari looked like it could have come out of the frozen food section at Stop and Shop, and it unfortunately tasted no better! The chicken lettuce wraps and the pepper steak were the saving grace for the meal, thus bumping up a 1-star review to 2-stars... 1.5 would be more like it. Oh, and how could I forget that our plates smelled like Windex! It was disgusting... Actually, the more I think about it, I can't in good faith give this place 2-stars. A colossal disappointment.

I always have great meals at PF Chang's. I LOVE the Garlic Noodles. The Chang's Chicken Noodle Soup is amazing. Chang's Spare Ribs...awesome. The only criticism I have is the service. The servers are not attentive enough and every time I have been there we have had empty drinks for too long of a period of time, and flagging down the server is not an easy task.
The #1 reason why PF Changs sucks all together is they're stupid fucking menu. WHY CANT THEY JUST DESCRIBE THE FOOD INSTEAD OF MAKING CORNEY JOKES THAT ARE TOTALLY IRRELEVANT TO THE INGREDIENTS IN THE DISH. Do they expect you to sit there and ask the waitstaff for a description of every friggen dish. Its just stupid, every time I go to this lame restaurant I get something that sucks because I don't even know what I'm getting when I order it! Fuck PF Changs, its pretty much over priced Chinese food Oh and if your thinking about going anyway don't go to the one in Peabody. Boston's waitstaff and food is way better.

I have been to P.F. Changs a few times, but this was a first at this location. I'm a little ambivalent about this place -- the food isn't sensational or stand out, but it's still tasty enough and usually better than your average Chinese food restaurant. The decor is nice and the environment is pleasant, but it's not one of those restaurants I have to go to or crave eating at. I had some reservations about going here for a birthday dinner because it's a chain restaurant and my family is extremely large. But the waiter and the rest of the staff did well accomodating our party of fifteen, which included four kids. My family isn't particularly adventurous when it comes to eating out -- this wasn't your Americanized Chinese food they were used to -- so I was a little concerned about them liking it. We ordered Chang's chicken, Mongolian beef, Sesame chicken, crab wontons, Chang's spareribs, beef and broccoli, egg rolls, and fried rice. Luckily, everyone liked the food and the service we received. The Chang's spareribs were a surprise hit and everyone loved them. Essentially, it's a safe bet for non-adventurous eaters who want something "fancy" or "non-traditional" (except it isn't really either of these things, though to a lot of fussy suburbanites it is). It was a nice dinner and it's good to know I can go back with the family in tow and not have to worry about it being disastrous.

Ugh. I remember great meals at the Boston location of P. F. Chang's years ago. But this new spot at the North Shore Mall leaves way too much to be desired. First, our host and server insisted on telling us that they don't usually work the day shift and didn't know what was where or how the day crew organized everything. Guess what? I don't care. In fact, you should want to hide that nonsense from me. We visited during a non-peak time, when the staffs were shifting from lunch to dinner. There were about 12 servers handling 8 tables. The entire place was completely unorganized, with loads of servers hanging around on the floor gabbing and watching us patrons eat. The bar had about 7 patrons and 2 bartenders but we still had to wait 15 minutes for our cocktails. Our server insisted it was busy, but it was clear that the bartenders were gabbing with some regulars. Our plates were sticky and had to be replaced. Our sauces had unusual gunk in them. The food, in general, sucked. It tasted as if the chef had premade sauces to douse over the beef and chicken. I remember everything tasting so fresh at the Boston location years ago. Isn't that what P. F. Chang's is known for? What appalled me most was that the only dude in a suit, who looked like manager, stood around and watched the madness. He didn't urge servers to keep busy, or help the bartenders. In fact, the servers, ours in particular, were shouting orders to other servers; the manager doing nothing. Please do not visit the Peabody location yet, give it a year to suss out the quirks.

I love PF Chang's, just not this one. I've consistently ordered the same things at different PFC's but the way the food is cooked here just doesn't taste the same, like they skimped on ingredients or don't season properly. If you don't have high expectations for a casual Chinese food dinner, then go here. If you do, better go to Sugar Cane a few minutes away in downtown Peabody which never disappoints, and much cheaper too.

Totally bummed that this place is not better. My husband offered to take me to the one in Boston for my birthday a few years back, and now I'm glad we went to Soma instead. We got take out--the Honey Crispy Chicken and Seared Beef Lo Mein. Called the order in, and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. Fine. We got there, and they have the WORST location to wait for take-out. --the bar cash register, which just happens to be directly in front of the kitchen door. After nearly causing a million collisions, we decided to side step and hover behind some bar patrons and examine the atmosphere. I hated the carpet...red and black, and the setting of the tables (booths along the outside perimeter) made it seem really cold and distant. Seemed like they had enough space to seat most people relatively quickly, but I was glad we were only getting the take out. After 20 minutes of waiting we finally get our food, and the waitress checks our order. She pulls out some extra rice and what looks like a second batch of chicken. Now, I can understand checking to see if you've given the customers everything, but taking food out, and walking back to the kitchen with it just seems...tacky. Not that we want someone else's food, or someone else to wait longer, but it was just WEIRD. Food was in our bag, and now it's not. Just weird. So we wait another 10 minutes, and she finally comes back saying "The chef wanted you to taste the Kung Pao." So we FINALLY get home...and...meh. Everything tasted like Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets dunked in some sauce. There wasn't enough sauce for the rice to mix it around so it was almost like eating chicken-with-rice-on-the-side, and oh, the SALT. Unbelievable. It was so salty as to be...not good. Not good at all. The Lo Mein with beef was actually pretty good, but all three dishes were really small for their price. Barely any leftovers after ordering 3 entrees for 2 people. Basically...no good. Go across to the Cheesecake Factory and order something there.

Went here for lunch on a weekday. Showed up at 11:45 and was seated just about right away. There were still plenty of open tables. Waiter was fairly prompt and we ordered an appetizer, and two lunches. At this point the place began to fill up. Our waiter seemed pretty overwhelmed and it was fully an hour before our lunch appeared on the table. The food itself was good, especially the steamed dumplings, but who has 1:30 for lunch on a weekday?

Delicious! I brought my staff here for a holiday party tonight. A few of them had not been here before, we all enjoyed our food. Our waitress was not the most attentive but we made the best of it. They were out of both desserts we ordered so the manager came over and comped another option. I have been to this location, Boston, Las Vegas and Surprise, AZ and the food is always yummy!

I am suprised at the number of bad reviews. Maybe I just get the better items on the menu because I really enjoy what I usually eat. The Pork Dumplins, Friend Green Beans and Sweet and Sour Chicken are all excellent. Drinks are usually pretty strong. Its definatly one of my favorite chain restaurants.

went shopping at the mall and looked for a place to eat. we went to p f chang's cuz i hate cheese cake factory and there is nothing else besides the food court. our waiter was funny and nice, very good service. i enjoyed the lettuce wraps. i don't wwanna comment how their food tasted. nuthin like real chinese food of course and i didnt expect it. what i liked about this place was their ingredients actually tasted mad fresh. tthe chicken was very tender and no weird tastes. im really sensitive to the freshness of the ingredients. im a fan jus for the freshness of their food. i also like they offer mini desserts, you can be full and still enjoy some sweets at the end of the meal.

You know, I quite enjoyed my experience at PF Chang's. I think it is important to keep innto consideration that this chain prides itself on offering healthier options and not deef frying their food in fatty oils etc. I got the vegetarian lettuce wraps, which were excellent. The mix of tofu and water chestnuts tasted so good. I also got the veggie dumplings. They looked wierd, so I was a bit hesitant, but they tasted really great. I have no idea what was inside those things, but it was mad good. The only qualm I had was average service. My waiter seemed either really tired or really high on something. He was nice enough but just didn't seem all put together, if you will.

Been there three times...once shortly after they opened and twice since. Each time the experience was worse than the previous. Last visit...and I do mean my LAST visit was to celebrate my sons birthday (his restaurant choice) and included horrible service, dirty wine and beer glasses, very noisy restaurant and completely mediocre food. Fool me three times shame on everyone. Never going back...neither should you!

One of the most ridiculous dining experiences ever. After waiting 45 minutes to be seated, the place was FREEZING (the heat was broken?), the service was SLOW, the chicken for the lettuce wraps was burnt, and the place had NO ROOTBEER. Yikes!

The music is too loud! Kiss 108 type music played way too loud so that conversation is difficult. The waiter was too loud and omnipresent. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I was not interested in developing a friendship with him! Do they train waiters now to act like they're your best friend. Take my order, deliver the food, be courteous and smile, but don't think we came here to see you. We came to have dinner. The waiter was a bro who tried way too hard and became extremely annoying after the 7th time he asked us "is everything okay?" We did feel like "The Great Santini" was our waiter. I almost expected him to say "Is everything okay SPORTSFANS?" The food. Spring rolls were the best thing we had. The main dishes were obviously not freshly made. I suspect everything comes to the kitchen frozen and fully prepared and the kitchen mainly just heats it up. I guess that assures consistency at all of the branches, but when I go out to eat, I want something actually better than I make at home. We had the mini desserts which could have been good if they didn't taste like they had been sitting in the fridge for a week. I had the carrot cake and my friend had the tres leches, which seems odd in a Chinese place! It's not cheap either. But the waiter! Over the top. I don't want the waiter to ask me 7-10 times during the meal if everything is okay. A good waiter serves the food, waits one minute, comes back to the table and asks if everything is okay and does anyone need anything. Then the waiter goes away and looks in at the table each time he passes by. If the people at the table need something, they can stop him. Otherwise, stay away, and don't come back until all are finished. Don't take plates away from the table until all are finished. Finally, when the bill is paid in cash, don't ask: "Do you need change?" Bring the change unless told not to. You will get a better tip if you do it that way.

When the food is right it is very good and tasty but it is wrong so often that we frequently get a free desert, entree or gift card. Service is unpredictable though the staff is nice. It can take any where from 10 minutes to 2 hours to get food. The kitchen is still not consistent sometimes the key components are left out or the food is burned. when done right expect something different do not go here if you are looking for standard "chinese food"

I was royally bummed after leaving PF Changs on Saturday afternoon. My husband and I were already at the mall and I convinced him to try PF Changs. I had been one other time at an Ohio location. All I remembered was that I loved the food. We were told that the wait would be 30-45 minutes. I am never put off by long waits because it usually means the restaurant is that good. The wait ended up being 20 minutes and we were seated at a table that had not yet been cleared. Normally I would not have complained about that, but another waitress started to tell us that the girl who seated us was new and should not be doing that. I can't stand when waiters throw other waiters under the bus...a waitstaff is only as strong as its weakest member. Therefore it is every waiters responsibility to help each other and share the blame. Our waitress came right over with menus and returned momemtarily to take our drink and appetizer orders. We were very excited.....but then we waited...we waited a half hour for our drinks when the appetizer came. Aren't the drinks supposed to come first? I was about to cancel my martini order (gin and lemon juice with a spritz of sparkling wine) when it came after we finished out appetizer. The waitress also brought over the dipping sauce that you are supposed to use on your meal. I noticed that other tables had the dipping sauce for their appetizers. We didn't get to enjoy that! It wasn't until we got our drinks that we ordered our entrees. Ofcourse we waited for atleast a half hour for our entrees and wished we had an appetizer to dip in that mouth watering dipping sauce. The drinks were really good (my husband got tea). When the entrees arrived we ate almost every last bit. The food here is exceptional. I ordered the Dali chicken and my husband ordered the Kung Pao chicken. The entree comes with a choice of brown or white rice. We were both happy to choose the brown. The food was really spice so beware if you are not into spices. The only problem with the meal was that the waitress did not bring out water with our meal. We really could have used the water to neutralize the spicy mouth effect. The restaurant had almost redeemed itself with the food so we decided to stay and get dessert. There were these really good looking desserts that they serve in double shot glasses. You could get chocolate cake, cheesecake, apple pie, strawberry shortcake, and others that I cannot remember. We did not get those, but we chose to order the flourless chocolate cake along with a coffee and espresso. While the coffee and espresso came right away, the dessert never made it. IN fact, the waitress who was serving the table next to ours kept apologizing for the wait qnd then would dissappear into the kitchen. Same thing with out waitress...she would come over and apologize and then dissappear into the kitchen. How long does it take to take a piece of cake out of a fridge? We had been at the restaurant for almost three hours at this point and were livid. When we saw our waitress again we asked her to ring up our bill without the cake and that we were leaving. Before she brought the bill we were served dessert. When we refused it we got a dirty look from the waitor (he was not our server). Our waitress came over with the bill and apologized again. A man in a suit and ear piece came over and told us that he would be happy to wrap up the dessert for us and we politely declined. The urge had passed! What can I say? Waiting over a half hour for dessert is horrible. He kept telling us that it was "one of those days". My husband used to be a waiter and told the manager that he understood, but later in the car told me that he saw no excuse for this service. My overall problem with this place had NOTHING to do with the food. It was the service. They were not under employed either. I saw tons of staff running around doing something....so, despite the bad review, i DO want to give this place a second chance. But next time I will sit at the bar where we will most likely get immediate service. I will review this place again after my second visit.

Okay, long wait etc, etc... now, on to the food: The dishes here seem kind of hit-or-miss. The Chicken Chopped Salad was great, possibly the best dish I've had there. But then some dishes can end up pretty salty like the Wok-charred Beef. I tried the Lemon Scallops and couldn't decide if they were supposed to be fried and got soggy from the sauce or if the sauce had thicken from having gotten cool. I don't really know, but they were served that way. Although I've never been to the Boston PF Changs, from my experience at the Northshore Mall location, I'd agree with chelsea l that this place is over-hyped.

I was so excited to hear that PF Chang's was branching out into my hometown. My husband and I anxiously awaited the opening so we could enjoy lettuce wraps without having to pay to park in Boston. We were waiting for most of the grand opening hype to die off before venturing out to PF Chang's. FInally, one cold Thursday night in November after working too late to want to cook dinner we decided we'd give it a go. We arrived at about 8PM and the host/hostess staff was pretty kind given the crowd. We were given a buzzer and were told there would be a 20 minute wait. We decided to venture into the mall for a while and browsed FIlenes' Basement for about 15 minutes and waited only about 5-10 minutes to be seated when we got back inside the restaurant. By now the crowds were thinning and most of the tables were turning over and the night crowd was winding down. Our waiter was a bit of a meathead and though we told him we'd been there before proceeded to rotely describe the "special sauces" and then without asking us how hot we'd like it put in far too much chili paste (and I like my spice so for this to be hot he had to have made it REALLY HOT). In any event, it took him over 15 minutes to get our drinks out to us (soda and wine, so its not like there was any fancy blending or shaker-ing to be done) which delayed us ordering our meals. The party of 2 that was seated just about simultaneously next to us ordered their food along with their drinks and were wise to have done so. They had lettuce wraps and entrees and were done with their lettuce wraps and onto their food before our lettuce wraps even came out. Our lettuce wraps came out more than a half hour after we sat down and the kicker was out FOOD came out no more than 2 minutes after we got our lettuce wraps. I wasn't even done loading my first wrap up when it arrived. We sent the food back to he held in the kitchen while we ate the wraps (partly due to hunger and partly from knowing our food was languishing in the kitchen). The good news is that the food was terriffic, up to the same level and taste we are accustomed to at various PF Chang's locations. I will say the fried rice is never a great bet here - I usually don't order it, preferring instead a side of brown rice, but my husband had a craving. It was really the only disappointing part of the meal other than the service logistics. I like that they have added to the dessert offerings (though the banana spring roll is still a fave) with single-serving desserts in shot glass type things. Though this is a sign that PF Chang's is uber-franchised, I kinda like these. My husband chose the smores option which was REALLY good. My strawberry cheeecake was not bad though nothing to write home about.

Having been thoroughly fed up with the locations in Boston, I was hoping that a P.F. Chang's in the North Shore would be a different experience... I was very upset that it wasn't. The wait for a table was still 45 minutes to an hour (on a weekday night!?). Why do they build these places this small when they know they get so swamped? It would be okay if the food was worth the wait, but it's NOT. It's very very good food, but it's not anything you can't get better somewhere else with a much quicker turnaround. They've only been open 1 week, but I think they seriously were NOT ready to open in regards to the kitchen staff. My buddy and I ordered two simple entrees and it took almost an hour after placing our order to get it! They need to sack the chef and go hire a real Chinese chef who can sling lo mein and dumpling around at warp speed. That being said, if you're with a big group of friends and you've got several drinks and good conversation to pass the time, then the experience will be just fine. But if you're a couple or just going for some dinner with a friend, AVOID. I can heartily recommend Su Chang's Restaurant on Lowell St. in Peabody. It's a fancy Chinese place that has great atmosphere and VERY good food. Also try out Mandarin Danvers, on Endicott Street in Danvers. It's more your run-of-the-mill Chinese place in terms of ambiance, but the food is EXCELLENT. Beats the pants off P.F.'s food and the wait for a table is about 30 seconds.

nice atmosphere- good service- but PLEASE- this is just cheap Chinese in a fancy setting. NOTHING interesting- the chix salad at lunch was on limp, old lettuce, the ginger chicken with broccoli was tender, but where was the ginger?I waited and waited to go- won't do it again

I have been back four more times ( what can i say I am absolutely addicted to the tofu lettuce wraps). The waits have lessened, the service has improved greatly and the food is super yummy. I would give it 5 stars but I am not sure the bartenders all have their head in the game yet. The same drink (manhattan) tasted different everytime I ordered it...which may or may no have been 3 times in one night...:) Overall improving, not at all pricey & close.

I loved PF's. I have been going since they opened their first location in the theatre district and it was amazing- Notice the past tense here... Last night we went to the Northshore Mall location and the food was just terrible. We got the chicken lettuce wraps-they were decent enough.. but they gave us 3 pieces of lettuce.. we obvi asked for more- but come on- you shouldn't have to! I also got a cup of hot and sour soup- i used to dream about this stuff- they had the best hot and sour ever..so i was quite excited which lead to a bigger dissapointment-the "broth" of the soup was very globby, and it just didn't taste right. It was as if they made the batch of soup earlier in the week and tried to "reheat" it. We also got the double pan fried noodles, which are usually with the very thin noodles- it came out with lo-mein type noodles and had SO MUCH sauce on them... We also got some chicken dish- the chicken was very dry... the one good thing that they would do was make a strong margaritta- but needless to say i will not be going here again-terrible terrible

Great when you dine in, but horrible for take out especially at night, staff just wants to get outta of there and don't care how well they service or cook your food. Best time to go is lunch.

We had to wait almost 30 mins on a Thursday night for a table; in this recession that tells you right away the food is probably worth the wait ... and it definitely was. I'm not a fan of chain restaurants that try so hard to create an ambience that they end up looking like a movie studio but PF Chang's is very good at Americanized Asian food; they work the ingredients and flavors in a way that allows them to serve original and interesting dishes but still remain in a "safe" zone, no matter what you order you'll get a tasty dish. The food is very tasty, and the menu has plenty of options including vegetarian. Their bar is great with novelty drinks like a mojito with a "hint of pear" which are really good. The hostess and wait staff were fantastic, I was really impressed with them. In summary: not really authentic Asian food but PF Chang's serves great dishes and their quality is very consistent, I'm glad we got a PF Chang's in the North Shore!

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

(2)Jennifer R.
Usually it's pretty good, but the wait was very long and it wasn't even busy at 2 pm when we came. My cashew & chicken lunch bowl only had two pieces if chicken in it. I was a bit disappointed in the food and service today.
(2)Francisco M.
Not my kind of chinese I thought the servings were over priced and the food was too heavy and greasy
(1)Scott M.
I went in for drinks and dessert last night and was not pleased with the bar service. I'll admit that the place was packed and the food was still delicious (The Plum Collins cocktail is fantastic), but the bartenders looked annoyed that they had to wait on people who were eager to throw money at them.
(3)Ken S.

(4)Ronny K.
Been several times in the past and it was maybe 3 stars. Went recently and it could have been the worst dining experience I've ever had between the food and service. Never again.
(1)Tracy B.
(2)Nicole C.
(2)Kathleen H.
(3)Marc H.

(4)Jeanne G.

Just visited Jenn & Kiley again, same OUTSTANDING service we always receive @ PFC! Thanks for a great meal & treating us like royalty. Doug & Deb

(4)Eileen O.
Great gluten free menu. Alway fresh and delicous!! Very courtieous wait staff and tummy mojitos.
(4)Ashley B.
Great atmosphere, great food, and exceptional service. I highly recommend the Hot & Sour Soup.
(4)Christine P.
(4)Evan W.
Awful food, EVEN WORSE IS THE PRICE YOU PAY! I will never go back to any PF Chang's again. The wait staff was friendly but that is the only thing that was good. Other than that, any Chinese take out for HALf the price (at least) will give you 10 times better food.
(1)Alicia S.

(1)Bethany R.
(1)Mark D.
(3)Michelle D.
Love it! The food is very good. Wish they had more locations closer to home. Biggest complaint is how expensive it is. Cost so much to have a meal here. Portions are small.
(3)Ashleigh H.
(4)Lisa G.
Not the best dining experience I've had. Ate there awhile back and found gum in my food! Gross.

Just had lunch. The lettuce for the veggie lettuce wrap was disgusting. No apology. Won't go back. Sorry they did a great job at one time. Not any more

(2)Len S.
(3)Lee M.
(2)Mindy T.
(2)Angela B.
(1)Kalu C.
I was kinda disappointed. the service was good, ordered broccoli beef, the beef was quite tender, but the dish was way too saucy and salty. wish I could wash off the saltiness with the water. Also ordered wanton soup, also salty as well - maybe the chef there loves salty food.
(2)Chan C.
(4)Mrs. M.
(3)Shawn S.

(1)David C.
(3)Kells C.
(2)Amanda P.
(5)Michael J.
(2)Chris M.
(3)Dee P.
Good food, ambiance and location. Highly recommend their tiramisu .... Totally worth a visit just for tiramisu :))
(4)Jason S.

Called ahead made reservations for a party of four (Saturday 6pm) . Arrived and was greeted by a very welcoming host who had us seated right away at a nice booth. The booth had a wonderful view of the mall parking lot ! Our waitress was accommodating but was grumpy about being grouchy. We started with drinks. I ordered two Mia Tia's, next time I'll request to shake well ? The highlights of the meal were the starters seared ahi tuna, pork wontons (steamed) and the main entrée sichuan scallops ....nice combination of sweet and spicy (sauce was phenomenal). We haven't been to P.F. Chang's in over ten years and it was nice to be back.

(2)Geoff M.
(3)Laura L.
(4)Joe M.
(4)Lala I.
went shopping at the mall and looked for a place to eat. we went to p f chang's cuz i hate cheese cake factory and there is nothing else besides the food court. our waiter was funny and nice, very good service. i enjoyed the lettuce wraps. i don't wwanna comment how their food tasted. nuthin like real chinese food of course and i didnt expect it. what i liked about this place was their ingredients actually tasted mad fresh. tthe chicken was very tender and no weird tastes. im really sensitive to the freshness of the ingredients. im a fan jus for the freshness of their food. i also like they offer mini desserts, you can be full and still enjoy some sweets at the end of the meal.
(4)Erica C.
(4)Robert D.
(1)JasparLamar C.
One of the most ridiculous dining experiences ever. After waiting 45 minutes to be seated, the place was FREEZING (the heat was broken?), the service was SLOW, the chicken for the lettuce wraps was burnt, and the place had NO ROOTBEER. Yikes!
(1)Cuspus O.
(2)Heather K.

Great lettuce wraps. Lamb was phenomenal. Wait staff was ok.
(4)Dan T.
Great food, great atmosphere. Kind of pricy, but the food backs it up.
(4)Brian L.
(3)Kristen W.

Great Food... A little expensive... Try The PFX, it is a great drink. All the food we ordered was of high quality and tasted great! Just gasphed a little bit when we got the bill!
