So so good. I had the phad thai and it was the best i ever had. The ambiance is great the service is great. I look forward to coming here more often.

I tend to get the same dish at every thai restaurant but...... the "country style" basil chicken (which is really gra prow) is delicious. The beef satay is really good and flavorful as well. Sadly though, they dont offer sticky rice which I like. The ambience is not so good. I felt like i was dining in a warehouse with the high ceilings and cement floor. The place was almost empty and any conversation by people seated next to a wall was projected throughout the place. Basically the acoustics would be good for accapella singers and acoustic performers LOL. The service was also slow and spotty - which was weird because as I stated before - the place was empty. I haven't decided if I would return or not.

Decent food, but it didn't overwhelm me. I had gotten a dish with pineapple because pineapple was a main ingredient, but there were only a few pieces of pineapple in it. The service was speedy, so it is a great stop for lunch during the week. And prices are reasonable.

While I have only got the Pad Thai here, it is by far the best I have ever had. The spring rolls for an appetizer are delicious too. The sit down service is great, all the servers are very polite, and when ordering for pick up it is very prompt and ready on time every time.

I had the pad thai, and it cost extra to add anything (I got tofu). The pad thai was underwhelming. It's flavor was mild and unauthentic, which is disappointing. I had to pile on the garlic chili sauce to wake up my taste buds. The only thing I can say was worth noting was the portion size. I am happy they gave me a lot for the $14 mediocre dish. The interior is swanky and hip for the business crowd.

Met my brother and sister-in-law here for dinner and none of us were disappointed. Really good place but a little hard to find if you are not living in the area. I used to live there but so much has changed. GPS seems to bring everyone to a place just north of here. Anyway, pretty good menu selections and service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the price was well within reason. Very highly recommend you give it a try when in the area.

For monday the dinner was pretty busy for two servers, typical asian concept..running a restaurant with 2 servers and a host and the restaurant was pretty busy. what will those poor servers does? they took an order and vanished, no water, doesnt have a time to come to the table back again ask howz things going on? ok forget about the service. The food was AWESOME ***** 5 star for the spicy chicken fried rice.

Excellent Penang curry and spicy noodles. Good beer selection. Would have been all stars, but the roll sampler appetizer was very weak.overall great experience.

Very nice atmosphere. Very spacious, long bar, fireplace and perfect level sound system. Formal or casual. You feel very comfortable. Great for groups or by yourself. Started with Hot and Sour(Tom Yum) soup. Very well balanced with fresh shrimp and fresh mushrooms. Next we had beef satay. Comes with both peanut and cucumber sauce. We also had Savory Noodles as well as tofu with baby bok choy. They will vary the spice to taste and it comes out perfect. The service is spot on and the entire staff is very cordial. This is one of my favorite places for sure.

Satay beef and chicken... Beef was tender but over the top salty. Chicken was better. Peanut sauce very ordinary. Cucumber sauce good. Skimpy order for $8. Chonburi wings... nice order, quite tasty reasonably priced at $7. Pad Thai... $12 for noodles? This dish was not up to par in taste, portion size or price. Atmosphere nice, service good, but probably won't be back.

Just had a delicious lunch. The spicy chicken fried rice has the perfect amount of heat; not so much that it hurts but enough that you're glad there is a glass of ice water on the table. The decor is nice and the servers are attentive. The food was brought out quickly and I had no problem getting there, eating and back to work within 45 minutes.

Dinner last night with my husband. It was a Wednesday night. Pretty empty around 8. Our first time eating here. First impression, spacious and clean. I felt like I was eating in the meddle of the room. Kind of weird. No booths. It's like the designer stopped half way through. No art on the wall. Just odd to me..... The bar is cool though. Long and squiggly. They only have beer and wine though, for those who like a good mixed drink.... The service was fine. Where we sat I had a great view of their back space where they keep the paper towels and mugs, etc. that was odd. But since there was nothing else to look at I found myself looking in there. Weird. We started with chicken satay. Sauces were good but the chicken was weird. Kind of rubbery. They pound it out too much I think, I dunno....it was weird. Dinner was pad Thai. It was so good!! 2 spices. Next time I'll go with one. It was quite good tho and I ate every last nibble. It was a good portion. We will be back!!

Relative to the competition in the area, this is one of the best restaurants you can find. It has a hipster-NYC feel to it but also is kid-friendly. Very nice lighting and ambience. Kids are given crayons to draw on their placemats. Great Thai food. I love the Chicken Red Curry with Mushrooms as well as the Pad Thai and the spiciness can be dialed up if you like it. Beef satay and duck dishes are very nice too. Decent beer selections and open bar. Service has always been nice and responsive. Highly recommend.

I go here at least once a week, for the past 8 years. There is no better thai food. I have tried and tried to find one closer to my house that compares but nothing can touch it. Their pad thai is the best ever!!!

By far the worst restaurant I ever visited. Worst management is the highlight. They close at 9:30 and were a group of 2 ppl entering for dinner at 9 and the host says with a frowny sad disgusting face 'we close by 9:30 please hurry' What is wrong with you guys ! We are not even seated yet and you say hurry up !?? We left right away. Very inviting Siam lotus ! Never coming back again

This used to be a huge favorite of ours but something has changed. The fresh garden rolls used to be stuffed with thick slices of BBQ chicken and basil leaves and now it is mostly shredded lettuce. We aren't sure if its a money saving change or the chef has changed. The tiger's tear salad used to taste amazing and the seasoning is still good but the salad greens were wilted and no effort made to pull out the brown ones. The chicken satay was even underwhelming, thin pieces of chicken. What is happening Siam Lotus!!???

Take out: We ordered and they quoted us 20 minutes, came 30 minutes and had to wait another 15 minutes. Total time for takeout: 45 minutes. Really? We might as well eat there! What's the point of take out if it takes that long. I guess they were still cooking something we ordered. We ordered: Pad Thai with chicken, pad see eew with chicken, satay chicken, and tom yum soup with shrimp. The food was "meh". The Tom Yum soup doesn't taste like a normal Tom Yum soup, this one tasted weird, like it didn't have that lemongrass or lime taste, it wasn't sour. I can't pin the taste down, but it's not a typical tom yum soup. I did not like it. The pad thai noodles was very bland and "eggy". Usually pad thai has this orange color to it, this one was more of white-ish and egg tasting. It wasn't too bad, but not your normal Thai pad thai. Needs more flavoring. The pad see eew on the other hand was better than the other 2 dishes, but a little soy saucey...And the noodles were all stuck together and a bit mushy. It's like they can't get it right... And the Satay chicken was the only good thing. It was a big chunk of meat and the peanut sauce was delicious! Overall, if you are expecting authentic Thai food, this place doesn't do Thai justice. I've eaten at many many many Thai places and my good friend is Thai and her mom's cooking is very authentic, and this one was more on the bland side and tasted nothing like Thai food! Can't pin it down exactly...like in between Chinese imitating Thai. The only good thing was the satay chicken.

A close walk from the Residence Inn Marriott Norwood I was pleasantly surprised ! The fresh spring rolls were large and very good, full of flavor. The baby Bok Choy appetizer was extremely good and nicely spiced . The Tom Khar Gai soup was good but not quite as strongly flavored as I prefer. The seafood volcano as it was named carried three Thai spice ratings but it was mild in my opinion, which actually was nice because it allowed the seafood taste to reign through . However I would have liked to add my own heat to it , but the server never brought my trio of traditional Thai additives to the table . Overall for a quick healthy dinner I enjoyed it and would go back !

This place is great! Very nice, clean, and comfortable. The food came EXTREMELY fast, the service was very professional and courteous. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai with a Thai iced tea. It was very good and came out in 5 min. Definitely recommend this place. The food was good, reasonably priced, and the service was great!

I have zero complaints about the dinner I had here. Friendly and fast service. Really delicious food! The setup is very nice - huge space plus a bar area, as well. I had the pad thai and really enjoyed it. I also had some veggie spring rolls that were delicious. I was in a large group and everyone was very happy with their food. I'd happily go back!

BEST Thai food in Norwood! Although that's not saying too much being that Norwood is such a small town. I've been here several times and have generally been impressed with the quality of their food. I've tried many different entrees and I'd say most of them are pretty good and prepared fresh. One word of caution is to avoid the duck; I thought the duck here was pretty old and it was difficult to tear and chew. Suggestions: -Their curry is pretty bomb -Their larp is good and flavored well -Ginger and coconut ice cream is always good! -their pad thai is uniquely made and uses long string noodles, the flavors weren't as strong as what you would get at other Thai places though -shrimp in blankets are great as well!

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at Siam Lotus. It was a cold day, and we were fortunate to be seated next to the fire. The interior is quite impressive. The beer menu is also impressive, with several "worldly" offerings that we hadn't even heard of. My boyfriend ordered some German beer, I can't remember the name, that he really enjoyed. We ordered the satay (both chicken and beef) for an appetizer. The meat was tender and the sauce delicious. For dinner, I went with the Jumbo Shrimp Curry - my first EVER curry experience, and I'm absolutely hooked. My boyfriend went with the Broccoli Beef, he loved it. We split the Pineapple Fried Rice - SO good. A little on the pricey side, but totally worth it.

This is, by far, the best Thai restaurant that I have eaten in - and I have eaten at many around the world. Their Pad Thai is unique in that they incorporate a slight sour flavor to balance the sweetness of the peanuts and saltiness of the fish sauce instead of relying on a heavy tamarind base. The siam rolls are equally good and the one item that I have never found anywhere else is their Chonburi Wings. Simply fantastic. The service is equally as good.

If you love authentic Thai food, this is not the place to eat. If you love water-down Asian food and think you got Asian experience at Panda Express, you will love it here. I had basil tofu and eggplant dish, the basic dish, and it was thumbs down. I don't know who gave them more than one stars but I give one star for them just cooking the food. Nothing else.

There is a lot I like about Siam Lotus. I like the atmosphere. I love most of the dishes. The satay is excellent. Last time, I ordered massaman curry and I found it a bit hotter than most restaurants. Everything else was excellent. I enjoyed the Thai rolls and the Pad Thai too. The price is about average for a Thai restaurant in the area. We ordered two appetizers, one main course, and pad Thai and the bill was about $43. (We didn't order drinks). I was not a fan of the soda, it didn't taste like real Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi. Other than that, I would definitely return to Siam Lotus.

We recently checked this place out and I must say that I am so impressed. I ordered the country style chicken basil. It was perfect! There was nothing left on my plate but that does not mean the portions were small. The atmosphere was very nice but on the quiet side. I will be going back asap!

I have been to Siam Lotus over 100 times in my life. Growing up this has always been our family "go to" restaurant. I remember the previous location on the golf course, which was beautiful. I loved eating lunch while watching people play golf. Every single time, I order the same dish...the spicy chicken fried rice. This is the most authentic and spicy thai fried rice you can get in the Boston area. I can't seem to find any comparable restaurants in the city of Boston. I think this rice is even comparable to some of the fried rice I have had back in Thailand. You have to make sure you ask for it spicy (at least three chilis) and you will absolutely love it! The savory noodles are another fav! I have also tried the chonburi wings, chicken satay, fresh garden rolls, papaya salad, cashew nut chicken, panang curry, and masaman curry...all of which are flavorful and quite enjoyable. My only two cons about this place are (1) lack of consistence (2) bad service. Unfortunately, the fried rice is made differently every time. Sometimes its amazing and sometimes its just okay. I have noticed the rice is always better when you dine in instead of take out. And the service is not that great, especially when you go in large parties. The owner of the restaurant (Angie) is not a very pleasant person, but you get over it. Besides there are no better Thai restaurants in the area. I will continue to visit Siam Lotus time and again. I highly recommend that you try the spicy chicken fried rice (at least three chilis)! Kob Khun Ka!

We ordered take out. Coconut soup was bland and I did not eat it. It tasted like cream, only. Ick. Siam rolls were greasy and fell apart. Pad thai is dry and the tofu version contains some ingredient I cannot identify. I really hate the taste of the mystery ingredient and have never seen it in any other pad thai.

I really enjoy this restaurant and have the following suggestions: Get: Apps: satay, Siam Rolls (w/chicken), Curry Rolls (w/ yellow curry inside), Veggie Rolls, and Shumai (pork dumplings, I like them steamed) Curry: Green, red, panang, all amazing! Tofu: Prepared nicely in every dish I've tried it with Jasmine Tea Green tea ice cream Avoid: Pad Thai- lacks flavor. With that being said, it is made of too much noodles and not enough of the delicious stuff (veggies, peanuts, meats, etc.) Service is quick but be sure to double check your bill; twice I've received another guest's bill instead of my own.

i'll start by saying i loved the food and I would have scored it 4 stars if the service was better. I'm a traveler so I often eat alone when i'm in a different city. love the reviews on yelp so i wanted to give it a try. sat a the bar and this is were things started to go down hill I'll start on a high note: hot and sour shrimp borth soup, probably one of the best i've had. Wild Boar and bail was absolutely wonderful. brown rice had a wonderful sticky quality. Service: well let's say unless I gave someone some heavy eye contact no one even checked on me. wine glass was empty for a long time before I did the evil eye thing and politely asked for another. I know at first impression people who dine by themselves my not be the best customer but i'm a sucker for service and pay for it when delivered. shame i loved the food

I have Celiac Disease, which means I cannot consume any gluten. I went to Siam Lotus once before my diagnosis, and absolutely loved it. The pad thai and chicken satay were delicious. After my diagnosis, I was psyched to go back -- thai food is typically the most gluten-free friendly cuisine, given that they use rice noodles and that their soy sauce is not supposed to be wheat based. Unfortunately, when I called Siam Lotus to inquire about their gluten free options, they told me that they could not make their pad thai gluten free unless I was okay with having tofu noodles instead of rice noodles. What? Rice noodles are gluten free! I'm assuming they just don't know what gluten is or how to accommodate (even if their soy sauce has wheat, GF soy sauce is an easy substitution to make to accommodate a customer!). I wish they would get with the times and become more aware of the dietary restrictions of customers -- I would love to go back if I was able to!

I have been coming here for years and I can't believe I haven't written about Siam Lotus!! Whether I am with a friend, or a group of coworkers or call in for to go, this awesome Thai restaurant is my absolute go to place for lunch. Please keep it in mind this is a very lunch-oriented review. I don't come here for dinner much. When it comes to lunch, I don't have a lot of time so FAST service is KEY. I kid you not. This is how it usually goes down. 11:45 am: I sit down. 11:46 am: I get my glass of water and a menu. 11:47 am: I order my food (Ok I know their menu real well so this is cheating). 12:05pm: Food arrives. So that was time. Now food quality. Their menu consists of the standard thai options but what I highly recommend are: - Savory Noodles: The default hot level is HOT so if you aren't ready to sweat buckets, drop it down to one chili pepper. The chicken is minced with flat rice noodles. The basil oil secretly adds the heat so it surely wakes me up from a morning of meetings/work. - Pad See Yew: They remind of Cantonese noodles because of the soy sauce based and wide flat rice noodles. It has fried eggs, broccoli and you can select the meat option as usual. It comes out HOT and fast and I feel like I have a personal chef. The default salty level is quite high so I usually ask them to make it a little less "salty". It will come out perfect! Yum yum yum. I can come here for lunch everyday!

Been going here regularly for many years. My parents live in Walpole and I live in Boston. It is my second favorite Thai restaurant after Brown Sugar in Boston. Our favorite dishes are: Chonburi Wings - crispy, sweet, and with yummy cilantro on top Pad Thai Beef Masaman Curry Duck Panang Spicey Fried Rice Pineapple Fried Rice Honey Pork When we go as a family, we usually share the dishes. We usually always ending getting a combination of these items. Thai iced tea is great here tool Service is always excellent. Very nice staff.

I've eaten here 7 times spread out over 8 months . With the exception of one dish, the short ribs, I enjoyed every single bite of what I ate here. The restaurant has a quiet ambiance even when full. It has very contemporary and comfortable decor. This is NOT a hole in the wall Thai restaurant. Service is always pleasant though at times a bit slow to start. However, once you order, everything comes quickly, freshly cooked, hot and delicious. I've had too many dishes to name them all, but the green curry stands out as do the garden rolls and the chili shrimp. Next trip to the area, I'll be back.

Ohhhh Siam. Remember the days when you were incredibly fast and the service was borderline overkill? We could justify the 20 minute drive from work because it only took 30mins to get in, order an app with two entrees, be totally satisfied, and happily over tip the smiling customer service. With a normal lunch taking just over an hour, my love affair with Siam has ended because of my recent hour and forty five minute lunch. So the extra 5mins due to traffic wasn't Siam's fault at all. I can account for the 5 mins making me a little cranky, but certainly not count it against them. Immediately upon walking in we could see they weren't staffed to their normal levels. We were sat directly after a table of 9, but luckily we're experts and barely needed to peruse the menu. Per status quo, the server was over quickly to take our order. We were excited to get our order in before the table of 9 did. There were hopes of redeeming the 5 mins and getting back to work on time. Then the waiting game began. We got our app fairly quick. There's nothing to be cooked in it (fresh rolls), so that wasn't a huge surprise. Maybe I just like summer rolls too much, but I'm over these. They're ordered out of habit. Normally as we're finishing those the entrees come out. They didn't. We watched the table of 9 (who ordered about 5mins after us) get their food. Then we watched people who got there 5 mins after us get their food. And then the people who ordered a good 10 - 15 mins after us got theirs. At this point we had been waiting for at least 15 mins with nothing in front of us in a half empty restaurant. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think that's an overly long time. However, expectations had been set over the last year + that we could factor this into our lunch rotation. The waitstaff just didn't seem as happy and the levels of attention just weren't there. The food was still delicious. My lunch partner went back to the "Savory Noodles" while I ventured to the "Noodles and Tender Beef (with Chinese broccoli; add two peppers)". As we looked at the clock while waiting another 10 mins for the bill, we sighed and realized our love affair with Siam was dying. I can justify the long time for a dinner, but definitely not for lunch. We started thinking back about the last few times we had been there. The steady decline had been obvious if we weren't so initially blinded by love. **Repeat Exaggerated Sigh**

This Restaurant is a must-do for any Thai lovers out there, and the only place my family and I go when itching for take-out in the realm of Asian cuisine. We have ordered loads of different things over the years and every dish has been totally delicious. I am particularly in love with the Spicy Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Satay, and Golden Harvest (tempura vegetables). And if could put their peanut sauce on every meal I ever ate for the rest of my life, that would be just great. The cucumber sauce and turnip sauce are also straight up deloycious. Go here! You won't regret it.

I was very dissapointed with my experience at Siam Lotus. It seems that this restaurant is trying to present itself as a high-end Thai food place. However, their food is just about average and certainly not better than some less pretentious Thai Food restaurants in the area. In a nutshell, the food is overpriced. I hope that the customer service has seen better days as it was nothing to boast about the night that we went. My recommendation... SKIP this place...

I always worry when I walk into a restaurant that is too updated on decor and somewhat pretty. Have the owners spent more time on the ambiance than the actual food in efforts to cover up any shortcomings the dishes may have? Happy to say that Siam Lotus is the Fiance and my Thai food place of choice in the Norwood area. My pad thai is good. The food-fussy fiance seems to enjoy the Country Style Chicken Basil. Beware as it has 3 chili pepper icons next to it - it literally lights my mouth on fire. It makes me crave a cigarette midway through dinnertime each time I take a few spoonfuls of his dish... and I'm not a smoker! I also have enjoyed the Duck Choo Chee plate very much! It was seasoned and cooked leaving me wanting more after each bite... succulent! Finally, Thai would not be Thai without review of the Thai Iced Tea. It is served unsweetened without any cream. What accompanies it is a single server mini container for cream and another filled with liquified sugar. You get to control the amount of sweetness and richness... pretty neat! I don't know why I always pretend to be dainty by adding bits of cream and liquified sugar. In the end I always end up using both containers in their entirety! I think I just like the process, add a bit of sugar, add a bit of cream, repeat. It's delicious however you sip it! Fast and friendly service as well.

I wish I could do a 1/2 star as well. Its better than four, but I'm just a tiny bit shy to do 5. Kristin and I hit it up after looking online and trying to find good Asian food (insert: Chinese, Jap, Korean, Thai, etc) online from some reviews. She remembered "hey what about that place on the way down to Foxboro?" I said, "oh yeah... its Thai if I remember correctly." Since we had just had Thai in Foxboro, and I was hoping for something spicy, I said "sweet!" and off we went. Easy to find. Easy parking. Tuesday night at 7PM. Not too many tables were seated, but again, its was Tuesday. By the time we were in full dinner swing they were about 1/2 capacity in dining. Ambiance was nice. Spartan and not overdone. After working at PF Changs for years (no comments please... this was back when they were 'something') it reminded me of that decor. I liked it. Warm and inviting. Our server was totally friendly and agreeable on his recommendations. Honest and friendly, without being too syrupy. It did take a few minutes for him to get with us and take our order, but to his credit he seemed to be solo on the floor. I give him credit. We each had a glass of Raymond cab, the only cab that we saw by the glass, unless I missed something. Not a bad choice for the glass offering though and nicely priced! We also ordered two apps and our entrees. We ordered all at once, not sure if he would time our food nicely or what, but we didn't want to hiold him up too much. The garden rolls came out first. Just as written on the menu, the veggies were on the cooler side, with grilled chicken as well. Flavor profile was awesome and clean. Great job and very fresh. The only things I was a little tepid on was the wrapper. It was very gummy. I would order it again though, so it was still pretty damn good. At $5.25 it was a great start. The steamed mussels were as expected but also tossed with some onions and other small goodies for flavor. To be honest, I've had mussels at Legal seafood, and these were as good as a seafood place offered me. I don't know about mussels yet... verdict is still out. I think I'd rather do oysters. Entrees next. She had the macadamia beef and I had the boar basil. Nice sized portions. The sides of rice were perfect sized and the rice was fluffy and fresh. Nice job. Her was awesome. Yes. I tried it. fair portion of beef with the veggies (maybe a little heavy on the basil) but a good mixture with a slightly spiced sauce that was perfect for someone who's not a huge spice fan. She's a picky eater, so it was great to see her happy. The boar was excellent. I asked that it get kicked up a notch because I love spice and they did a nice job. The sauce even looked like the perfect spice level, with a fiery redness. I was impressed. The veggies included were a good 50/50 mix with the meat, so no need to worry if you are a meat-head and don't always get enough. The boar had a hint of dryness to it, but thats boar for ya, right? Would I get it again? Yes, but after sampling all that they offered me tonight, I have to have other items first! I will go back. Dinner for two, with 2 apps, wine, entrees of good size was $63 with tax. Good price point, and we made the Changs comparison afterwards as well, saying that it was the same price, maybe even less, for same sized product, but without the high sugar content that Changs shoves on us. Not as heavily sauced as that place. Better food too I would say. No doubt. I'm a fan. Go there. Trust me.

This place sucks. I have been to several Thai places and this is the worst I have been so far. Pad Thai is sticky and they don't seem to know how to make it. Fried rice is horrible. They can't even get the basics right what else can they do.

This place is not Thai Thani. But it's not bad either. It's got a little of that Asian Fusion feel and the food was tasty, but not delicious. The place is vast and clean and modern inside and the service is crisp and friendly but not overly so. I wish they'd have refilled my water more often, but, otherwise, no real complaints and no real raves either.

As this has been the only Thai food I've tried I can't vouch for its authenticity, but I can vouch for its deliciousness. Located in a strip mall on Route 1, its dark, contemporary and spacious interior belies the location. Service is quick and efficient. We enjoyed the Beef and Chicken Satay, served with that delicious peanut sauce. The Curry Rolls were tasty, but not as spicy as I'd hoped. Perhaps the next time I could ask them to turn up the heat a little? The real star of the appetizers was the Chonburi Wings. Crispy chicken wings with a sweet and spicy syrup (think General Gau's). They were spectacular! The Pad Thai was very light, with bright flavors of citrus and plenty of shrimp and peanuts. The Savory Noodles had a cumulative heat that really snuck up on me. For my first foray into Thai food, this was very promising. Much lighter than my beloved Chinese, it was satisfying and tasty. I think Arnie summed it up when he said, "I'll be back".

Good basil chicken and good panang curry. Good ambience and good food.

The food is very good, I haven't ordered anything I didn't like. The wait staff, Eh they do not give me that warm and fuzzy feeling. I will stick to take out!

One of the most consistent Thai food places you will find. Super clean and elegant interior. Have been going to Siam for years and years. We tend to order at least a few times a month for a family of 5 and are never disappointed. Recommendations: For an appetizer Id get the curry rolls. They are small and a bit pricey for the portion but they are light, crispy on the outside and the curry flavor is wonderful. Of course the Pad Thai is a staple here. Honey Pork is very tasty. But my all time favorite (if you like spicy food) is the COUNTRY STYLE CHICKEN BASIL. Out of this world good, bursting with flavor. It is a must with a small white rice!

I've been a huge fan for over ten years because compared to the other thai restaurants I've been to, Siam Lotus is still superior to them all. Personal Favorites: Chombari Wings, Royal Duck and their country style basil chicken--Their peanut sauce is sweet and filling as well Favorite restaurant ever!

Fresh ingredients, great quality at a good price. I've been coming here since before the location change. Needless to say, I'm a fan. The service here is consistently great. For a safe choice for newcomers, the Chicken and cashews comes with an array of veggies and jasmine rice. However, for some one looking for something a little more special, spring for the duck or any of the curries. Red bean ice cream garnished with fresh mango is a great ending to a fantastic meal. Note: Gewurztraminer pairs extremely well with spicy thai food.

I'm a big fan of the Siam Lotus. Great people, romantic/relaxing atmosphere, what else could you ask for? Oh yeah, they've got he best tasting Thai food outside of Boston. An A+ review!

12 year of relation with this place. Very nice atmosphere, very fresh and amazing food.Wonderful chef! People who work in the place very friendly and nice. Try allot of things from the menu - always very happy. The only think -they serve no cocktails and also the working hours little complicated . If you like Thai food - this is the one to try.

My go-to place for Thai lunch. Great Choo Chee, Very good Pad Thai, spicy and delicious savory noodles. The serves are nice and the food comes out chop-chop, piping hot, fresh and delicious. Only thing that gets me is that nothing changes at dinner except for the prices, which jump an unacceptable amount (2X for the salmon choo chee?!).

My dad found this place when he was working in Dedham near the auto mile. We have been going here for 15 years. We go at least 6 times a year. It is always our go to spot for Birthdays and life events. We love it here. We have tried many other Thai places but my taste buds always seem to favor Siam Lotus. We always order the same thing but occasionally my brother in law will toss in a new dish. Below is our typical order. First Course: Spicy Shrimp Soup Second Course: Chicken Satay Siam Spring Rolls Golden Harvest Third Course: Chicken Cashew nut Pineapple Fried Rice Pad Thai Honey Pork Beef and Peapod Tofu Miracle Dessert: Coconut Ice-cream Ha! My mouth is watering and it is not even close to lunch. My only complaint is that I loved there first location which overlooked the Dedham golf course. It was a great view and the small planes would often fly over head and land at the Dedham airport in the distance. Now the decor is a bit too modern and cold and the windows over look route 1. the interior reminds me of the scene in Beetle Juice when the shrimp come alive and they start singing "day like come". This is okay though cause the warmth of the staff and company at the table make up for it. There is a good wine selection and a few beers from the old country. Also, try the Thai ice tea! Yummmmmmm yummmmm!

Siam Lotus is more of a "fusion" style Thai restaurant, "modernizing" many Thai dishes and with the "fusion" moniker...being more expensive. That's not to say some of the dishes are tasty but I can't fathom paying over $10 for a lunch portion of a dish that usually costs $6! The restaurant itself is very clean but seems very cold and vast when you get in. One of my co-workers likens it to a Mausoleum...yikes! Siam Lotus is alright as far as tastiness goes but I would definitely go to Thai Thani first if I had the choice.

Ah the burbs..great place to bring up the kiddies, but sadly not a great place to eat Siam Lotus is a break from the suburban dearth of edibility(is that a word). Its actually a nice place with a modern feel in one of the strip mall clusters which dot Route 1 In my opinion, there are two mainstay courses in Thai cuisine: The Satay and of course the famed Chicken Basil..Both were excellent. They actually had 2 chicken basils, one country style, one regular Our other dishes were scallop with eggplant, not exactly Thai inspired, but very good and a great Duck Tamarind..This surprised me, I really liked it and I am not a duck fan Service was good as well, although Memorial Day weekend is not exactly busy for restaurants in general. I honestly cannot remember eating better Thai food...yeah it was that good

I've ordered takeout from Siam Lotus at least a dozen times. The service is so fast, that even if I arrived early to pick up my food, it was already set to go. There seems to be a dish for every season at Siam Lotus. Their pad thai, with a light citrus flavor, perfectly cooked noodles, and good noodle-to-shrimp ratio is great for summer. It is one of the best pad thais I have ever had. Their masaman curry (I had it with chicken) is also very good, full of sweet potato slices. Great for winter. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and loved the Noodles Tofu. As flavorful as their Chicken Basil was, the chicken had an artificial, ground-up consistency, which was a bit unusual. Plus it had so much basil flavor, I could hardly taste anything else in the dish. While I have yet to sit down and eat here, I have seen enough of the inside of Siam Lotus to get a slightly chilly impression. The high ceilings, dark walls, hard flooring, and dim lighting remind me of a small warehouse. Perhaps some partitions and a warmer paint scheme could make it more inviting. All issues aside, however, I highly recommend Siam Lotus for many of their quality dishes. And be sure to order some Siam Rolls on the side. Love those, too.

I work very close nearby Siam Lotus and eat here regularly. I have had just about everything on the menu and I can say without a doubt it is the best Thai food south of Boston. I highly recommend a dish called Savory Noodles. The dish consists of egg noodle and ground chicken with a basil\chili pepper sauce. I also believe there is crack in it, because I can't stop ordering the stuff. I would recommend lovers of hot food to come here and try it out. I have never been let down.

Still the best Thai food I've ever had. Must haves: hot and sour soup, spring rolls, honey pork (and I'm not a big pork person), and chicken cashew nuts. Everything always tastes fresh and the service is great. Not crazy about their new age, industrial look, but who cares when the food is this good?

This is what I call Fancy Thai. It's not that it's expensive or you have to get dressed up to go into Siam Lotus, but the decor is modern and clean and they have lots of tables. So often you find a Thai food place that deals mainly with takeout orders but may have a couple of tables in the corner if you want to eat in and they may or may not have a beer and wine menu. This is not the case here, this is a great place if you want to go out to catch up with friends and enjoy dinner out. They were able to accommodate five people on a Thursday night with no problem. The food was great. Chonburi wings and spring rolls were good. The Country style Chicken Basil and Pad Thai were delicious. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I am a fan of noodle dishes and there was definitely lack of them on the menu (only two options - Pad Thai & Pad See Ew). Also, the main dishes did not come with rice, it had to be ordered separately. All in all a good experience. Two apps (split between five people), dinner and a beer each came to $25 per person (including tip) which I think is very reasonable.

OK Food, slightly overpriced. Siam Lotus is a fancy place, but it doesn't not have a true Thai menu... rather, I would call it Thai-American instead. The menu listings use descriptive English words rather than their true Thai counterpart, which I found confusing. Not only that, when I asked for a true Thai dish, Pad Pig Prow, the friendly waitress told me that it was a good dish, but that they didn't make it there. On a similar note, Siam Lotus does not make vegetarian "Spring Rolls". What they do make are spring rolls with chicken or fried spring rolls, but no raw, vegan Spring rolls. The food is good, but not excellent. The bar is OK, and there were 4 premium sakis to choose from, but I didn't see bottled water on the menu, which is a must for me. If you're looking for a quick Thai fix and you are in the Norwood area, Siam Lotus is OK. If you want excellent Thai food, go somewhere else.

Stopped in for lunch with a colleague and was impressed with the layout and decor. Food is modestly priced yet comes across as high end restaurant, very nice. Tried the fresh spring rolls and pad Thai and both were very good. My colleague had the hot and sour soup and the fish dynasty dish and was impressed as well. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Delicious and nutritious. Me likee.

Great Thai restaurant. Moderately priced with a beautiful interior, and relaxing atmosphere. Excellent service and the food is consistently superb. Rolls Combo is a tasty app choice. Pad Thai mixed with the Country Style Chicken Basil and white rice is a winning combination. They also make a top notch pineapple fried rice. Penang Curry is another favorite. All in all an excellent place to eat and one which I frequently visit.

Siam Lotus on Rt. 1 in Norwood, Mass (on the automile) is a must-try for Thai food lovers. We tried the beef satay appetizer, and it was tasty and hot. So fresh and delicious that you could taste the grill on the strips of satay steak (a rare, and pleasant surprise). The peanut sauce is a must with this appetizer (comes with it). We also had the Spring roll sampler, and all the samples were hot and very good. The shrimp roll was exceptional. The atmosphere here is cozy and modern at the same time. This restaurant is large, but still comfortable. Dark and romantic, but light enough at the same time. We were there on a Saturday night at 7:30 and they were very busy (there was a 20 minute wait). The "Hot Beef Platter" (2 pepper rated on menu = spicy) I ordered was spicy and satisfying. My wife's "Country Style Chicken Basil" dish (3 pepper rated on menu = very spicy) was wonderful. All the vegetables that compliment the dishes are obviously fresh, and cooked just right. They lose one star for kinda slow service. All in all a great Thai restaurant, with super atmosphere and fancy, excellent , yet affordable food.

I don't give out many 5 star ratings ..... actually this is the first. But this place has never let me down. When you go in with high expectations and come out saying "that's why I come here" ..... everytime, then they deserve it. I'm not going to make suggestions because it's impossible to go wrong. This food is like a party in your mouth. The only negatives are they don't have a liquor license and the beer and wine are not cheap, and the right side of the restaurant is open and aseptic. Ask for a table on the left.

If you're looking for traditional Thai, this isn't it. I guess it's more of a "fusion" type of style, although I don't know what it's fused with. In any case, it's delicious. I've never been to a Thai restaurant quite like this one. I grew up nearby in Sharon, so I came here pretty often, and whenever I'm back in town, I like to go here. Some favorites: *Siam rolls and chicken satay for an appetizer (I'm addicted to the spicy cucumber dipping sauce) *Pineapple fried rice (is it still served in a pineapple?) *Racha trio: beef, chicken, pork, baby corn, pineapple, and some other veggies in a sweet brown sauce The decor is pretty cool; it's very different from the old location, which had a more traditional, cozy feel. Now it's wide open and kind of "trendy" (I hate when people describe restaurants as trendy but I'm at a loss for a better word right now!) with cool sculptures along the wall. I've never had a problem with service--it's usually quick and it's always friendly. Even if you think you don't like Thai food, you should try Siam Lotus.

As a follow up to my previous review, I've been disappointed the last few visits with the Beef Noodle Soup. I've brought a number of new guests to this restaurant and all were quickly hooked on this delicious and unique creation, yet recently, the taste has been very bland and at times has the taste of some "off the shelf" beef broth which is far different than what I've become accustomed to. I only hope that the owner/management can quickly improve this irresistible item back to the standards in which many have previously enjoyed. The restaurant remains clean with great service and my 3 star rating refers to the aforementioned soup only.

Reliable Thai food in MA. Eat in feels like a treat and the takeout is always good. Take out portions are a good bit smaller than eat in portions. Prices are fair considering their location and quality of ingredients used.

I'm torn about Siam Lotus. On the one hand, the service was friendly and timely. The savory noodles and the chicken coconut soup were good. But the country chicken was exactly the same as the savory noodles, just without the noodles. This dish uses ground chicken, but I kept biting into something hard (bones?). Wouldn't order it again, but wasn't totally disappointed either. The chonburi wings, the real reason I wanted to try Siam Lotus, were disappointing. First, it came out within a couple of minutes of ordering, which tells me that they were pre-cooked then reheated to order. This isn't necessarily bad, but the wings were just warm (not hot) and they were dry. The sweet sauce was good though. Lastly the interior has high ceilings and kinda white, dim lighting, which makes the place seem more like a mausoleum. I wish they used more yellow'ish lighting. Maybe some light on the tables or hanging above each table would make the restaurant more inviting. Overall, if I'm craving Thai and in the neighborhood, I'd have no problems going back, but wouldn't go out of my way to go.

My favorite Thai restaurant around. The service and food are always top notch. I go for the Chonburi Wings and Siam Rolls for an appetizers and either the Chicken Pineapple (search in shelled out pineapple) or the Racha Trio.

Thai food in a strip mall...well, it IS the suburbs. Inside the restaurant is huge, easily four times bigger than our old standbys in the city. The decor is nice and clean. We arrived at around 5:30pm with our 2-year-old daughter. There were only about four other parties eating at that time. Our daughter hates high chairs but traditional chairs are a bit too low for her. There are two tables against the back wall with booth seating, and when the waitress saw me eyeing them she sat us there immediately. Once we were seated I looked at their high chair/booster seats and they are the nicest ones I've ever seen at a restaurant. The high chair is actually just a tall chair with a seatbelt, which, in retrospect, would have been fine for my daughter. After seating us they brought over some crayons for my daughter to draw on the table with and a water in a lidded cup. We ordered steamed shumai, shrimp pad thai, and short rib curry. All three dishes were delicious. The waitstaff were friendly and very attentive, of course I'm sure they were relieved that my daughter is typically pretty well-behaved. I wouldn't say this is a particularly kid-friendly restaurant, but with the right kid at the right time it works.

I have to give it 4 star. You have to give them props for the fact that they are in the burbs and giving people an option other than the generic chinese food and chain restaurant joints. I like to come here when we want to go to a place where the tables aren't placed next to each other and I can actually hear what my boyfriend is saying to me. As far for the food, is it true authentic thai cuisine? Not really. But come on guys, it's in Norwood on Rt. 1 or what is also referred as to the Auto mile. . Is the food good, yes it is. If I wanted to have something more like my momma's cooking, I go to Duk Bua in Coolidge Corner. But, if I wanted to have a nice, sit down dinner with a nice glass of wine and the food is plated oh-so-pretty, this is where I come.

Our FAVORITE thai restuarant. If we go out to another Thai restuarant we always compare it to Siam Lotus. I like their decor inside. It's not cheesy like some Thai restuarant (less is more) and their service is friendly and quick. The food is consistently good. We always get their pad thai and then split a meat dish. Their pineapple fried rice is scrumptious. I would defintely hands down recomment Siam Lotus to everybody I know. We do a lot of take out there and it's funny because they keep record of what you've ordered in the past. So when I call in to order and tell them that's it, they go "no chonburi chicken wings this time?" I then think about it for 2 seconds and reply, well fine, we'll have the wings too!

::sigh:: I went back there again tonight...and...unfortunately, I have to downgrade them from a 4 to a 3.5. Since I enjoyed my first experience last night, I had to try some other items on their menu. I order their fresh spring rolls, tom yum goong soup and chicken with holy basil. Even though the spring rolls were very tasty, they were very Vietnamese and not very Thai. I made sure to let the waitress know that I like the food to be very authentic and asked her which item on the menu has the most authentic Thai flavors. She pointed me to the chicken and holy basil, which is my personal favorite. I asked her if they can put a fried egg on top (the traditional way of eating that dish) and she said that the owner doesn't let them make it that way. Mind you, this is not a direct quote but a more descriptive answer. I accepted it and moved on. The portion was very generous, and the food was tasty, BUT, yes, the big BUT, when I asked to make the chicken dish very spicy, Thai style, instead of adding more Thai chili pepper, they added jalapenos!!! The travesty!!! Try this place, the atmosphere is great, the food is tasty, the portions are big, but do not expect an authenticate Thai meal, even if you tell them you've been to their country. --------------------------------------------------Â--- Although I didn't try a lot of their menu, I enjoyed what I had. They didn't get five stars because they didn't have sticky rice? Say what? A Thai restaurant without the glutenous rice? Somtum (green papaya salad) without the sticky stuff is like cold cereal without milk! (Note: Depending on the cereal, that actually is good eats) I really enjoyed their Somtum because they used grilled shrimp instead of the dried shrimp. I love the dried shrimp as much as the next guy, but a big phat WOW to the grilled shrimp!! The other plus was that they used real longbeans!! Not that I'm a stickler, but I asked for it to be hot in Thai, and it didn't burn until I ate a chili pepper. I was also surprised that their ice cream was garnished with jackfruit. What is jackfruit? To me, it tastes a little like a fleshy apple with a little bit of something else. I still don't know what that "something else" is other than goodness.

Siam is probably some of the best food you can have in the suburbs!! They moved locations about a year ago - and their new restaurant is large, airy and very nice. I would highly recommed going there for lunch as the portions are well-sized and it's quite inexpensive. This is the best stop-over when doing weekend errands and shopping on route 1.

Have been eating at Siam Lotus literally since the opened in their former location back in the early 1990s. Always reliable for a great Thai meal, clean surroundings, attentive service and reasonable prices (the lunch menu being priced ower than their dinner menu). The menu offers a rich selection of options, though not as exhaustive as some other Thai eateries. Still, they will substitute virtually any dish on the menu with Tofu, so vegetarians, non-vegetarians and vegans can all enjoy a dinner together with no issues. (Except dessert ... there is no vegan option at this time.) Their "new" location (they moved 1 mile further down Route 1 about four years ago) is larger with a more urban-chic interior with high ceilings and stone floor. The best table in the house during the winter months is one near the gas-heated fireplace in the middle of the room. For fans of quality Thai food, Siam gets 2 thumbs way up. You will not be disappointed!

(2)Jenessa C.
Decent food, but it didn't overwhelm me. I had gotten a dish with pineapple because pineapple was a main ingredient, but there were only a few pieces of pineapple in it. The service was speedy, so it is a great stop for lunch during the week. And prices are reasonable.
(3)Guy M.
While I have only got the Pad Thai here, it is by far the best I have ever had. The spring rolls for an appetizer are delicious too. The sit down service is great, all the servers are very polite, and when ordering for pick up it is very prompt and ready on time every time.
(5)Melissa J.

Very highly recommend you give it a try when in the area.

its was ok kinda restaurant in the hood.

(4)A H.
(3)Vahan M.

(5)Lannhi T.
Elegant decor, gracious service, and good food. The savory noodles live up to their name, and are delicious.
(5)Vidhyasankar N.
(1)Julie P.

I used to enjoy this place, but my 9 year old son and i just spent the last 15hrs sick after a meal here. Avoid if you want to remain healthy.

I have been eating here for many years and the Spicy chicken fried rice is such a delicious dish.. It will leave you wanting more. Make sure you also try the Shrimp in the blanket and the Chonburi wings. They have many delicious dishes for you to try!

Best Thai food around. I have been to a few of their places over the years. Quality is always incredible. Paul and Angie run a great restaurant.
(5)Dan P.
(5)Lilly S.

(5)Connie K.
(1)Dawn A.
(4)Meagan L.
We recently checked this place out and I must say that I am so impressed. I ordered the country style chicken basil. It was perfect! There was nothing left on my plate but that does not mean the portions were small. The atmosphere was very nice but on the quiet side. I will be going back asap!
(5)Lindsay M.
Decent food, fairly pricey for the amount of food served. Wish they had chicken drunken noodle.

(4)Tess W.
I love Siam Lotus! Best thai food around. I've been here many times and the food is always delicious. It's a little pricey but well worth it.
(5)Michelle P.
(2)Tim C.
Great Thia food, very nice place off RT1 Norwood. This is our "go to" thia food in the area.
(4)Amanda C.
The best Thai food around. A great place to go for a business lunch. Some many great options on the menu, from healthy to splurging
(5)Valerie V.
(4)Mo O.
i'll start by saying i loved the food and I would have scored it 4 stars if the service was better.
(3)Raymond B.
I had the Pad Thai, it was delicious! Nice interior design and good service. Prices are reasonable as well!
(5)Hannah K.
(2)Anonymous J.
My go-to place for Thai lunch. The lunch menu is great, I love the spicy duck. The portion and price during lunch time is just right!
(4)Grace R.

(5)Sam U.

I have been to many Thai restaurants in the country. This place is THE best, imo. Love the food. Never too greasy. My fave dish is the Honey Pork. Fave appetizer is the Curry Rolls. Overall: A
(5)Michael C.
Great atmosphere; nice lighting. The service was also great. Too bad that the food is so subpar.
(3)Steph V.
(5)Cesar S.
(3)Carlos R.
I have been there many times. This restaurant is a nice classy place with reasonable prices. Its a destination if your eating alone but especially nice if your eating with a companion. Great food, Great atmosphere, good service! Cant go wrong.
(5)Marikym T.

No doubt. I'm a fan. Go there. Trust me.
(4)Sumanth A.
This place sucks. I have been to several Thai places and this is the worst I have been so far. Pad Thai is sticky and they don't seem to know how to make it. Fried rice is horrible. They can't even get the basics right what else can they do.
(1)Dawn E.
(3)Ashley S.
Went with my fiance a few weeks ago, best Pad Thai I've ever had!
(5)MaryKate R.
A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really, food is soooooooo good and light and fresh... Such a good meal. Go here. You will not be let down!
(5)Joe M.
(4)Vikramjit S.
Good basil chicken and good panang curry. Good ambience and good food.
(4)Sherine D.
The food is very good, I haven't ordered anything I didn't like. The wait staff, Eh they do not give me that warm and fuzzy feeling. I will stick to take out!
(4)Ross S.
(5)Phil M.
(5)Julie B.
(4)Chris M.
I'm a big fan of the Siam Lotus. Great people, romantic/relaxing atmosphere, what else could you ask for? Oh yeah, they've got he best tasting Thai food outside of Boston. An A+ review!
(5)Tatyana B.
(5)tom k.
(4)Julie G.
(5)David L.
(3)Steve S.
I honestly cannot remember eating better Thai food...yeah it was that good
(5)Marc S.
(4)Daniel R.
(5)Shaun G.
(5)Christa G.

You have to get the pineapple fried rice.

Love Siam Lotus. Food is always fresh. Beautiful decor inside. Takeout is easy and fast. Prices are a little high but I am willing to pay for the quality.

Really tasty, fresh food. They always get my order right and the service is good. I highly recommend this place.

They are not the best Thai in town but they do a pretty good job. We actually prefer the old location though, not sure if staff turned over or what but we liked the service then better than now!
