This place is hit or miss. I like the food but some of the reviews say this isn't genuine Mexican so I guess I don't know what I am talking about. I like the El Paso Chimichanga. This time we got the flan for dessert too which was delish. The thing I didn't care for this time around was the service. The server who waited on us we have had before and he was fine. There is one server that is exceptional but unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to sit in his section this time. I could see the server that we were sat with rushing around the restaurant when we came in. He was eazy to spot because every one else was relaxed. He was the only one that thought the sky was falling. Being that it was 4:30 on a Friday evening I didn't see a crowd in the restaurant that warranted him running around like he was. Maybe he was anticipating the crowd that would be arriving . Not sure but I just know how we were treated by this man with only 5 or 6 tables occupied and multiple orders I ordered an unsweetened Iced tea. My friend said her drink order would be a little more complex than that. Meaning something alcoholic. Not sure what he thought she meant but he was like well hopefully not too complex. I am really busy. So right there we were like ok and looked at each other in disbelief because the way he said it was just rude. He was trying to rush us through the order so much so that he screwed up the dish I got for myself and my son and our dessert order. He wasn't letting us complete a sentence. I wanted a beef chimichanga. I got chicken. I wanted beans and rice with my son's chicken fingers and he brought me fries. That I noticed right away and had him correct it but the chicken Chimichanga I ended up eating in the interest of getting out of there in a timely manner. We had 3 children under 4 with us. I did bring it to his attention afterward about the Chimichanga but there was no apology or anything. HE WAS TO BUSY!!! He was running all over that restaurant like a maniac. If he would have slowed it down a bit he would have gotten those orders right and saved his sanity. He probably screwed up other people's orders too. I also saw him cutting in front of customers snd then going oh excuse me after he had already done it. Really rude. I like the food but I think next time I'll take it over to the Chateau. They know how to treat customers. I consider going out to eat a luxury. Not something I have the money to do a lot so when I am treated like a hinderance for no valid reason by the person who is supposed to make it a wonderful experience for me, I have a problem with that. I was going to complain to the restaurant but after reading these other reviews it sounds like we aren't the only ones. A good restaurant owner checks social media and other sites for this stuff. An even better one does something about it.

To start, the service was AWESOME. No doubts there. I would give the service a 5. But the food is what brought the rating down. It seemed mediocre and could definitely use more seasoning. Salt would be good. The meal certainly cured the craving for Mexican food, though. Salsa isn't bad and there's a good variety of dishes.

I live right down the street from Acapulcos, and me and my woman frequent it quite often. The staff is always friendly and the service is unparalleled. I have never had a bad meal, their food is some of the best Mexican you'll ever have. Ignore any reviews with less than four stars, because as a Mexican food enthusiast, I know nothing beats this place. The view of the golf course is also very nice.

This place is gross. The chicken in the taco salad had a horrible after taste. I couldn't even eat my salad. It almost tasted like it was cooked in soy sauce. The staff was not unfriendly, but also not super friendly, and definitely not well informed of the items on the menu. I did enjoy the bottomless chips and salsa, but only because they were bottomless. The chips are warm and tasted fresh, I didn't love the salsa. The other people in my party also felt that the food tasted bland and almost more Asian with strong tastes of soy sauce. I definitely won't be going back here. I'd suggest avoiding this place if you can.

Very surprised to see all the high reviews of this place. I might be spoiled living in the city, but this was by far the worst Mexican food I've ever had, including my own cooking. It's actually one of the worst meals out I've had as well. The service was average, but not rude. Huge menu, which is promising. The food took forever to come out, but we were given chips and salsa refills. When the food did come out, my sister's salad was incorrect...or was it? The waitress did not know. She apologized, brought over another dressing, but then assured us it was the right salad. Ok... The real problem is that the food was as close to flavorless as possible. No traditional spicy flavors or chipotle, just nothing. As a matter of fact, a few minutes in, after my girlfriend had already decided she hated her fajita salad, I noted that the chicken tasted more like it had been made with soy sauce than anything else. Just a hunk of chicken breast with an odd soy sauce flavor The food at this place is really not good. I realize that it must serve a suburban family clientele with a pretty solid location, but it's simply not worth the trip. There have to be better places nearby. Skip this one.

I LOVE this restaurant!!! Being from southern Oklahoma, my husband & I know our Mexican food quite well and this is by far our favorite in the Boston area. We love ordering their extra spicy green salsa (you have to ask for it to get it). We usually have trouble finding spicy things up in the northeast but this salsa is almost as spicy as what we can get back home. We've always had good service here and both of us have enjoyed every item we've ordered off the menu. When my family came to visit, we had to come here for our mexican fix even though it is out of the way. They loved it too. Highly recommend!

Yummy-yummy! Food was super tasty and fresh as were the margaritas. Gerardo, our server was very attentive and friendly, definitely upped the experience. Wide-eyed, I was able to spot my first groundhog (they really do exist!) digging around on the golf course...cute little sucker.

I just want to say first off, the staff at Acapulcos is great! If it wasn't for them, I would have given one star. That said... The food: - Over-priced - Poor quality - For mexican, very bland believe it or not The place: - Very spacious - Great for family - Clean The staff/service: - Very welcoming - Very attentative I had the shrimp and steak combo. The steak was very poor quality and the ship was over-cooked. My wife had a burrito and she said it was OK. Maybe I went on a bad night?? I live in Norwood and will say that I may not go back. Oddly, this was my first visit.

I would love to give zero stars to this kitchen nightmare. The meal started with a carafe of salsa. Upon pouring said salsa into our individual salsa bowls, a bright red crayon unveiled itself. When I pointed he out to the waiter, he laughed like it wasn't disgusting. Sorry, but it is disgusting. He brought over new salsa and assured us there were no crayons inside. If we weren't so dead tired and starving from a long, long day, we would have left then. But instead we stayed to endure the culinary torture that never relented. Plus, I had a drink on the way. A mojito. A nice, refreshing beverage to cap off a long day. Right? Nope. This didn't taste like a mojito. Not even a mojito mix. It tasted precisely like Sprite and toothpaste. Yum. We had ordered Queso to go with our chips, something that former co-workers used to call "cheese-crack" when I worked above another Alcapulcos location. It's not necessarily good, but you can't stop eating it nevertheless. I decided during this meal, that it was more-or-less because you are trying to figure out what the hell they made it out of. The bright, white glare of the hot goo and the awkwardly familiar taste suggests a hot pile of American cheese. When our meals came, we were wishing we had more crayon salsa. The beans were a sludgy sea of soupiness. I'm not sure if they were supposed to be pinto beans or the refried variety, but they tasted like beige. The rice, on the other hand, DID have a lot of flavor. That flavor was aluminum, as in the side of the pan it had been scraped off of into our plates. The tacos, I don't even know how to describe since there was more than one component. Even as I vomited the food up less than 30 minutes later, I still wasn't sure what I had eaten. I was only grateful for not eating more than a taste of everything and declining it being wrapped up to-go. At the end of the meal, when the waiter brought the bill, he had two. He had forgotten to ring up the queso, so he put it on a separate check. You know, instead of letting it slide because of the crayon in our food or the pile of poison that was served, he made sure to ring it in separately. If you think the food is good here. I feel bad for your mouth.

I can't believe you actually have to give these people a star, they don't deserve 1. I went to dinner with my boyfriend tonight- we order drinks, I order a classic margarita... pretty basic for a Mexican restaurant, the waitress asks if I want salt I say yes please. Marg comes back no salt. my bf orders a steak quesadilla, and I order a taco salad... his quesadilla comes back with chicken instead and I got an inch long BONE in my shredded chicken on my salad! on top of that we were still charged for steak in his quesadilla instead of the chicken we received. absolutely ridiculous! how is this place in business?! never go here. you might choke on a chicken bone asphyxiate and DIE.

Well, we had a great time and ate good food, drank awesome margaritas and all; but my tummy disagreed with the place so that's why they lost 2 stars - I guess the food was not that fresh. Hope they better that.

Acapulco's used to be a favorite of ours. We would be there almost weekly for a pitcher of ultimate margaritas and a late lunch or dinner for almost 10 years. As many of the other reviews have stated, the food is generally ok, but can be hit or miss. The wait staff is generally very friendly and exceptional. On several occasions we were left waiting unreasonably long times while many others around us were served. When we complained to management, they were unwilling to do anything to make the situation better. In the 8+ years that we were regulars there, we got 1 thing comped for us, ever. It was a queso dip appetizer. Now we frequent Papagayo's in Boston. The margaritas are much better and the food is phenomenally better! Not only is the quality of food and drinks better, but they recognize us as frequent customers and they throw an occasional perk our way... replace a drink that isn't very good, bring us a custom made hot sauce, etc. It might take a little longer to get there, but there are Mexican restaurants in the area with much better food, margaritas, and they know how to treat their customers. See ya Acapulco's. We won't be back!

The food was amazing, desert was also good the drinks were strong, so I guess that could be good or bad depending on how you like em'! I would definitely recommend this place! Great ambiance & fast friendly service!

There aren't a lot of options for Mexican around Norwood, so luckily there is Acapulco's. The atmosphere is family friendly and the service is good. The portions are very generous and the variety on the menu is above average. The apps are nice, but their chips and salsa are some of the best around.

Not a bad experience. I went to Acapulcos last night for the first time with a group of friends. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. They gave us multiple refills of the chips and salsa and were constantly bringing us refills for our water as well. I ordered the steak fajitas, the steak was perfect! It was sliced in thin strips that are perfect for fajitas and I was given plenty of tortillas which isn't always the case at other restaurants. One downfall is the space at the tables, the tables are extremely crammed if you have a group of any type. You'll constantly find yourself juggling multiple plates and dishes in order to make room.

Best Mexican in the entire area! Their food is always great, good service, lots to choose from. We go by all the time. Never been to any other location. Portions are always large and you get free chips and salsa. The ambiance is cute too.

This place is consistently very very good. I live close by and get cravings for Acapulco's all the time & have had a fair amount of dishes from their menu all of which are delicious. First of all service is excellent. The people who work here are some of the nicest and very accomidating Next, their drinks, especially the margaritas ahhh so good! They have tons of flavors, blended & on the rocks. The alcohol is there too so its not just a weak sweet drink which i cant stand! I would recommend the strawberry marg. And finally & most importantly, the food. Right off the bat you get chips & salsa which are so good they are seriously addictive like you can't put them down. The chips are nice and warm and the salsa is very authentic with some nice heat to it. Seriously just about every meal i have had here is delicious. And the portions are HUGE. Pretty much every dish comes with rice, beans, guac & sour cream. I would reccomend the fajitas, the fajita chimichanga, the tacos, and my favorite, the fajita wrap burrito. I think you can see a theme here but seriously those dishes are perfect. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the salads. Enjoy going to Acapulco's its soooo good!!!

Love it here. Warm, cozy, friendly & efficient staff, great food, & a menu that has something for everyone: vegetarians, carnivores, kids, & even a picky, gluten-free vegetarian like myself!
My go to for good food, drinks and service. They generally can seat you right away. The service is always patient and friendly. You can never go wrong with the fresh table side guacamole and the fajita quesadillas.

I was in the mood for fajitas and I got myself one of those Boston Deal coupons, get $25 worth of food for $12. The fajita was quite good. The guacamole was tasty and there was certainly plenty of food. My son got a quesadilla which he was happy with. I am not a huge fan of their salsa, but the chips were fine. The rice is a little dry and the refried beans were fine. It was a great deal with the coupon. Actually, it would have been an inexpensive dinner without a coupon ($32 for for two meals and two sodas), so I feel I got a steal with the coupon. The service was quick and pleasant. Not the best meal I have eaten, but it was good. I would go back.

Thank God for Acapulcos! Being from Virginia I really really miss Mexican restaurants on every block. There is such a lack of Mexican restaurants in Boston! I was so thankful when Acapulcos opened. Not that it's authentic by any means or anything special, but damn a girl needs her margarita and chips y salsa from time to time and they deliver! Their homemade salsa and chips are great. Their margaritas and variety of choices are also great (for me frozen, no salt). They don't have ton of vegetarian/vegan dishes but they do have a few that are good. And they will make sure to give you the black beans (vegan) as opposed to the refried beans (not veg) and the white rice (vegan) as opposed to the yellow rice (not veg). All my orders have been fine but once I noticed my friend got the non-veg rice and beans which is why I know there are two types. So make sure to get those. They are automatic when you order from the vegetarian dishes but if you order from the regular menu that just happens to be veg or you tweak the order, they won't automatically make the connection to bring you out the veg rice and beans. It's too bad all their beans and rice aren't veg like most places these days. Also there kids menu is good. My boyfriend's son had his first salsa at this place and now loves it. Even on Friday or Saturday nights you can usually find a seat with not much of a wait. If you sit in the back you look out over the golf course.

If you're someone who thinks that Taco Bell is what Mexicans really eat, you need to try this place. They serve Mexican food the way that it should be, especially with delicious mole sauce. Their burritos are HUGE. And, you'll typically use a knife and fork since it's smothered in juices and cheese. Their desserts are fabulous, too! Service is excellent and the waitresses are just too sweet. Try the desserts!

DO NOT EAT HERE! I'm not sure why everyone loves this place. I had dinner here on a Tuesday (5/12/2012) & was quite disappointed. The best things about this place are the nice staff and the great margaritas. I had the ultimate margarita and I also had them add raspberry to it on the second round of drinks. Yummy! Now for the bad! Chips and salsa were good but not amazing. I found the chips to be greasy and they left a wax like after taste in my mouth. We ordered the nachos with shredded beef & the shrimp with mushrooms. Both were appetizers. The shrimp was disgusting. It wasn't cleaned properly, had a fishy smell & taste. The shrimp lining/waste had no been removed. I found the cleanest one, tasted it & I refused to eat the rest. The smell was literally making me nauseous. It was not fresh at all. The nachos were extremely soggy & somewhat bland. Couldn't enjoy them too much due to the sogginess. Needless to say I did not order anything else from the menu. Both dishes completely turned me off I ended with a slight stomach ache & nausea for 2 days. Go for the margaritas! STAY AWAY FROM THE FOOD.

The veggies were definitely fresh. The salsa and burrito sauce was unique and definitely not bland like so many other Mexican restaurants seem to have. The staff were INCREDIBLY nice and accommodating with my difficult vegan and vegetarian party members and the food portion to $ ratio definitely was a bang for your buck.

I have been to Mexico and traveled around the Yucatan, and honestly, this food is better than 80 % of the food you get in Mexico. Service is great, the waiters treat you like family and the food is always consistent. My girlfriend is from Texas and she even likes it and says its as good as it gets. I wouldnt mind some more contemporary tex-mex additions to the menu, and I wouldnt mind chocolate unicorns shooting ice cream into my mouth either. Either one would do really.

This place is located in a strip mall and doesn't look like much driving by but you will be surprised as soon as you walk in. The place is decorated nicely and the whole back wall is a window overlooking a golf course. There's a nice bar (cantina) with a few tv's and tasty margaritas that will erase anything that is bothering you at the moment.

This place is good, I like speedy service BUT NOT lightnight FAST, feels as if the food is ready and was cooked in loads and then re heated in the grill, but that $hit tastes good though. I would go here time and time again, free wifi, nice enviroment, their fried ice cream is to die for !!

Somebody bring me some roIaids! I can only attest to the chips and salsa and fish tacos - both thumbs down. The salsa did not seem to be fresh and the chips were nothing special. The fish tacos however were horrible! The fish was fishy, either frozen or just not fresh. The rice on the plate appeared straight out of the frozen food aisle at Shaws - white rice with frozen peas and green beans - completely flavorless. Service was fine but we will not be back.

Their complimentary warm tortilla chips and salsa are amazing. The service at the is always awesome. Rarely have I even gotten through half a drink without being offered a refill. I'm by no means a mexican food connoisseur, but their chicken quesedilla is one of the best I've ever had. The chimichanga's are delicious as well.

This is the only place I go to in Mass for Mexican because no one else know what they're doing. I used to think this place was a 5 star but lately their food has fallen off dramatically. I consider myself a near expert on food with a major in Mexican and Acupalco's used to be the best Mexican in Mass. It is now unseasoned and bland. I have asked the waiters if they have a new chef and they all say "no". I used to go here 3 times a week - which is shameful but it was that good. I typically order the same thing "Enchiladas Jalisco" but I have switched around looking for something good and I am lost. The best thing they have is their pop - super carbonated but it has failed. I see the trend they're falling off quickly and I do not go there as much (maybe 1 time every two weeks now). Breaks my heart. The service is still fast and awesome - but I would trade sucky service for great food any day but their service is great but food now is below par.

Okay, I know it's not a five-star restaurant for gourmet-qualities but the food & service were nice (and quick) and I can't think of anything to critique (and i can be persnickity...) i won't steer you wrong. i ordered the grilled chicken patilla (looks like a burrito). gone in minutes...

Why does everyone love Acapulcos so much? This place is just okay. I gave it two stars, but when I considered the atmosphere and the staff I bumped it to three. The chips are bland and the salsa is just okay. The burritos are edible but uninspired. The only thing I've had here that I truly savored was a seafood burrito (or was it a chimichanga) - guess I didn't savor it enough to remember what it was. This is, however, the location for the start of the best first date I've ever been on. So I guess that's something. Oh, also, they're the only sembalance of Mexican you're going to get for miles...

This is one that I should have reviewed earlier as I used to work nearby and would go to lunch here once every couple of weeks. And it would have been 4 stars back then, but I think the place has gone downhill since then. Acapulcos is located in a strip mall on Norwood's "Auto Mile". It's interior is serapes and sombreros, with a nice view out the back overlooking a golf course. The staff, if not actually Mexican, is Hispanic as are many of the customers, which I usually take to be a good sign. Great chips and salsa to start. Warm chips and the salsa has lots of cilantro in it, which you either love or hate. I love it! I usually have Chile Colorado. Small steak chunks cooked to a pot roast consistency in a red sauce. Served with yellow rice, refried beans and tortillas. Magnificent. In the past I've also had the El Paso Chimichanga, loaded with pork, and deliciousness. And the Carne Asada, marinated and grilled skirt steak. This has been hit or miss, sometimes tender sometimes tough, but always tasty. It's been a few years since I've had their margaritas so I'll pass on reviewing them, but they were good as I remember. Not as good as La Paloma in Quincy or El Serape in Weymouth Landing, but closer and more accessible to me. I love me some Acapulcos.

The waiters are nice but really slow. The Shrimp Tula was filling flavorful comfort food. There is seating with a nice view of the golf course nearby. And a huge plus...if your feeling adventurous is the Maserati dealership nearby :-) BONUS.

Overpriced, bar tenders will tell you they don't get paid to get more tips, no one speaks English AT ALL. The food is mediocre mostly with a few good items such as the chili con queso.

Acapulco's is a great Mexican restaurant with a good blend of traditional and Americanized Mexican food. The service and atmosphere are friendly. Hot chips and fresh salsa are complimentary and are served right away. Portions are large and delicious. My favorite dish is the Enchiladas del Mar (two tortillas filled with a blend of shrimp, crab, scallops, fish and fresh vegetables. Garnished with sour cream and avocado slices. Served with rice and beans.) Friends favorites include the Acapulco Burrito and the Pork Carnitas. The restaurant also has good margaritas and is a fun place to grab a drink. I highly recommend it!

Reasonable pricing, good for kids. Not very busy and there are free nachos given as an appetizer. Many choices to decide on from the menu and should be to all liking.

Excellent Mexican food, lightning fast and very friendly service and HUGE portions! Ordered the Pollo Con Crema which was a dish with sauteed cubes of chicken breast and mushrooms in a creamy sauce. The dish was served with 3 warm flour tortillas, rice and beans. ABSOLUTELY delicious! Since the portions were so big, I could only eat half and take the rest home. The only downside that I have to say about this place is that for some reason, when I order a glass of water, iced tea or soda, it always tastes like chlorine so I would stick to their margaritas (very yummy) or beer! If you're looking for some good mexican food, I highly recommend this place.

I love Acapulcos, but this location in Norwood seems to be my favorite of the chain. Me and 3 friends were in for dinner on Friday night. It was super busy but the wait staff was quick and friendly as always. Our margaritas were delicious and the food was amazing as always. I ordered the Enchiladas Jalisco, which was delicious. 2 of my friends got the Acapuloco Burrito and loved theirs also. My third friend ordered the tacos and was happy with her food also. I will just drive the 30 minutes the next time to the Norwood location even though the Framingham one is 2 minutes away.

Foodwise, this place is only 3 stars. It's got your typical tacos, burritos, enchilladas, fajitas, and such. Nothing special, but it's still a reasonably priced meal. Their other dishes like the carnitas are only so-so. I found the pork a bit dry. Is it the best Mexican in the area? Well considering the options like Taco Bell, probably. Overall, the food is at least good enough to keep us coming back. At least they make strong Margaritas to wash it all down. What sets Acapulco apart from any restaurant, Mexican or otherwise, is the service. Every time we've gone they've been very attentive and efficient. Take last night for example. We brought our 19 month old toddler with us. As the hostess, after asking if we needed a high chair, led us to the table, a waiter with a highchair in hand arrived at the table just as we did. And as we were tucking our daughter in, another waiter arrived with chips, their usual salsa, and a separate bowl of salsa with nothing in it. No onions, no cilantro, no peppers. It was more like a cold tomato sauce. But it was appropriate for the little one to dip. The view overlooking the golf course is also very pleasant. The decor is festive and fun without being too tacky. There's even a sign over the bathroom area that reads, "Pipi Room". Acapulco is a great family restaurant.

I've been four times now and I'm hooked! I've had mexican all over the country and this is a wonderful spot. If you'd like a romantic evening, this is the place. If you'd like to get together with friends, this is the place. If you like Mexican food of course. Service has been excellent every time! Food always as expected. And they'll even sing you a song if you'd like! A bar, separate from the restaurant, if you want to watch the game and have a drink. Highly recommended!

I honestly can't think of one bad thing to say about this place. I have been three times now and every time I get great service, the food comes out fast, tasty margaritas, and a smile on my face when I leave. The bottomless house made chips and salsa are a plus and I have even been serenaded by their mariachi band. It's a fun place to have dinner for sure!

3.49999999 stars. A surprisingly good little find in Norwood (haha!) on Route 1 (double haha!). This restaurant is small in size, but features a comfortable dining room with a pleasant buzz of conversation. Our server was somewhat out to lunch in terms of attentiveness, but made up for it by being pretty friendly. Chips were clearly from a bag and warmed up, but the salsa was very good. I had some sort of chimichanga and taco combination. It was pretty tasty, though the chimi was filled with ground beef and there was no opinion for steak on the lunch menu. Huh? How hard is it to wrap steak up in a burrito, then deep fry it? No matter. Beans were good, rice was bland. The meal was affordable and I feel like I got what I paid for. Would I come back here? Probably for some margaritas and appetizers.

Acapulcos was busy when we went, so I was expecting good food. It wasn't tasty, as I expected it to be. It was very bland. I had the spinach enchiladas. The serving sizes are good though. They don't give you an enormous amount of food. The atmosphere was fun also, with good music. The prices are also very reasonable and i was happy to see the amount ot vegetarian options. On the downside, our waiter kept sitting down with the table next to us. We saw another employee doing the same. We thought that was weird. The service is very rushed also. There are good and bad aspects of this place, but I won't be coming back. I would rather go to Chipotle.

Came here on the recommendation of a Boch Honda salesman (stay tuned for the Boch review coming shortly)....and given that, I'm surprised this place was as good as it was. Very clean with a good selection of average tasting food. Chips weren't salty enough, salsa wasn't chunky enough, but portions were generous and given the options in the area, I'd recommend Acapulcos.
We eat here often as it's close to home and more often than not the casual atmosphere and quick service appeals to our 'let's get a quick bite' mood. The never ending starter of warm chips and salsa takes an immediate edge off our hunger and allows us to settle in for a couple of delicious frozen margaritas. The food is your standard Mexican chain-store faire but plentiful and good tasting. I have never had a bad meal! I usually get one of the Chimichangas and my wife gets the Fajitas. The service has always been quick and attentive without being obtrusive. We have never been hustled or made to feel that we had to 'clear' the table for the next customer. This is just a nice inexpensive 'eating out' experience...

I used to go here quite a bit and then it just seemed to change. The margaritas are good although pre-mixed, but there is something about the food that tastes different. The price you pay just isn't worth the amount of food you get anymore. The bar area is the best place to eat as the main dining area can be very crowded and noisy. Overall it is a good place for a couple of margaritas (did I spell that right?).

Nice decor and the service was good but the food was lousy. My chicken in my burrioto was cold and had two chicken bones in it. They smuther it with cheese to try and give it flavor. The margaritas were okay had better. Not a lot of good Mexican food restaurants in the area which is probably why this place always has someone in it. I would pass on this place.

One of my favorite restaurants in Norwood. OK so it's not authentic but it is still really yummy food. They've got the best tortilla chips and salsa too!! And the waitstaff is really nice too.

Fast and friendly - that's the way it should be. The staff was quick to seat us and very attentive. Food was as expected: not remarkable, but delicious none the less. Great value for the money, too.

I live nearby. If it is a choice between here and Taco Bell in Walpole, have lunch or dinner here. If I had a choice between staying in Norwood and eating here or driving to Quincy to eat at La Paloma, Quincy it is, even in heavy traffic during a snowstorm.

Food was decent, standard chain-restaurant Mexican food. Service was good, probably because the place was mostly empty, because we went early. The Enchiladas del Mar were a bit salty, but decent. Overall, a good experience, just nothing special.

"reasonable" Mexican food with decent Margaritas in an OK setting. Too bad the area does not have any better options for Mexican as this becomes the default winner even though the food is not really authentic. Frankly, you could close your eyes, eat the food, and think you were eating Chi-Chis from 15 years ago- and we all remember that is just a gloopy, cheesy, mess of Americanified Mexican food. Oh well, until another option pops up, this will get an occasional visit when you have a hankering for burritos or tacos.

My family who lives in Walpole introduced us to this place. My little cousin loves this place because she can dance in the restaurant! I tried the steak fajitas and they were so yummy!! I filled up on the chips and salsa before my meal came that I had so much left over that I had lunch the next day and let me tell you it was just as yummy as the night before :) The margaritas were so yummy!! I can't wait to go back. Now I just need to find time!!

I had very low expectations for a Mexican restaurant (is it a chain?) in a strip mall on Route 1. We came here on a Saturday night at around 6:30pm and waited about 15 minutes for a table. While we were waiting the host came over and filled a helium balloon for my two-year-old daughter (he has the key to her heart). We were seated in the middle of the dining room which overlooks the golf course (at night there's not much to see). A musician was wandering around playing guitar for some of the tables. It must have been everyone's birthday because I heard Happy Birthday at least five times while we were there. They took our drink order and gave us salsa and a basket of warm chips (the second key to my daughter's heart). I ordered a strawberry margarita which tasted like it had no alcohol in it at all. Maybe a miscommunication? When trying a new Mexican restaurant I almost always order the mole enchiladas, and I wasn't disappointed here. Spicy, sweet and flavorful. Rice and beans were nothing special, though my daughter gobbled hers down along with one chicken tender. All in all it was a fun evening, my daughter was happy and entertained and I didn't even have to break out the crayons, and the food was better than I would have expected it to be for strip mall Mexican. One criticism is that they should buy the lidded kiddie cups that don't leak when tipped at an angle. We had a lot of spilled milk to mop up throughout the night.

I had heard mix reviews about this spot so I gave it a try. It sits on busy Route 1 in Norwood which is the Auto Mile and has many places to eat chain like. This place sits in a shopping center and is low key. The spot gets really packed with locals and is a good place to bring a family. It is large enough to accomodate a large group and the staff is friendly enough to help you out. They are cordial and quick on their feet. The menu is the typical chain restaurant Mexican food and unlike the last review is not the most amazing food I have tasted, more like average, middle of the road food. The drinks are the same, middle of the road margaritas and the such. I would say it is a hit or miss with this spot. If you are looking for a casual average spot, I recommend it, otherwise, its worth a skip.

Great Mexican Food! The best you will find in Massachusetts! If you can, try sitting at the bar, you will have a great time with the bartender! Their chips and salsa are just the start of the great food. Everything else on the menu is just as good! If you are from the west coast or from somewhere they serve authentic Mexican food, this is the closest you are going to get!

After eating dinner at this restaurant, I'm having a hard time giving it as good of a rating as the other reviews. I went with their El Presidente margarita on the rocks, which was actually pretty good - easy on the marg mix, and just right with the tequila and cointreau. I tried their "traditional" acapulco chicken burrito which was actually quite large and easy on the eyes; however, the shredded chicken was dry and the enchilada sauce was more mild than their salsa. My advice, spice it up a bit!

This is a local chain and I have been to several of them and this one is the best. In addition, Mexican food in Boston is not good. It isn't. Not much selection. When compared to other major cities it is a 3 star. When compared to Boston, it is a 4 star. The chips and salsa as others have stated are good and their margaritas are decent. The fact that they always have football on (soccer for those of you confused) helps. For food, I have had many things, and the Shrimp dishes are very flavorful. Under-rated is the Chicken Torta sandwich but get the rice instead of the fries. They season their meat well. The tacos are decent as are the enchiladas. All in all a nice experience. The wait staff is hit or miss but all have been there for quite a long time which to me is a good sign plus you know what to expect and can manage the wait staff accordingly. Fun for kids too and clean.

The location is strip mall like, but the view from the restaurant is nice--of a golf course. I can't comment on the drinks, but the food was only so-so. There's a LOT better mexican in Boston, a town not exactly known for its great Mexican food. The food here was tasty enough to keep eating, but bad enough to make you question why you did. The best thing about the food is the chips and salsa. But, all in all, you'd be MUCH better off going to Border Cafe in Cambridge (and that's not saying much).

Honestly the best Mexican restaurant place out there...they have numerous locations (Framingham, Amesbury, quincy, and more!) Fresh and hot chips and salsa come out right when you sit down, and they are constantly refilling them for you. wait staff is very friendly and attentive. most importantly portions are huge--and not just the food, the margaritas as well! Everything really is delicious...its seriously i think my favorite restaurant!!!! I recommend the Fajitas Chimmichanga (not sure how to spell it)...its basically a fajitas wrapped up like a burrito and deep fried! Yummy!!!

They have some really authentic dishes and the portions always leave the adverage person going home with leftovers! Service always good and we love the neverending chips and salsa! The staff is always nice and helpful - some have even helped decide on certain dishes when your torn between! We love going there!

I know this is not "real" mexican food but I have to say I still love it! The chips are thick and crispy and I love their salsa. I usually get the chicken mole. It's delicious!! Service is quick and friendly.

Hard to find great mexican in Massachusetts. I think this is very good. Tasty, and affordable. Fantastic Fajitas. Drinks are good too. Very good for families, especially on the weekends as they have pretty high turnover so you don't have to wait.

I had lunch with my friends here on Friday. When we walked in, it was almost packed. Good service, friendly and very helpful. The food was good too. They serviced salsa and chips right after we sat down. I ordered from the lunch menu and it was way to big for me to finish. I really like the taste, the service, the decorations... everything. Would definitely go again.

I've been here a bunch and have never been disappointed. I usually frequent the Burrito and Chimichanga sections of the menu. Last night I had the Oceano Burrito for the first time in a while and I kicked myself for not having it more often. Shrimp, crab, fish, and scallops. Wonderful. It comes with rice and a delicious puddle of refrieds. It might sound unappetizing, but what else are you going to call a serving of refried beans? Once in a while I'll venture out and get the fajitas, which as I age I'm finding to be too salty no matter where I get them, or the Arroz con Pollo, which I find to be a treat. A giant serving of creamy rice and chicken treat. Enough for dinner and lunch the following day. The service is fantastic here and occasionally my girlfriend and I have been serenaded by a couple of wandering guitar players. It's a little weird having two guys stand at the end of your table playing guitars and singing, but they're very good and one of them has remarkable hair and playing skills. It seems as though the cool thing to do is to trash Mexican restaurants as "unauthentic", you're in New England folks, what do you want? Maybe a little dysentery with the water would make you feel better.

I ordered out from here and I'm never going back. I usually dine in and the food is usually pretty good but first off they messed up my order, I asked for two Cancun Chicken Chimichangas. Very simple order. We get home to cut into them and their both ground beef. And thenI CHOKED ON A BONE!!!!! I threw up inside my whole plate I called them and they did nothing! In fact Jeraldo the manager said to send him a picture of it and he called back to say it's 'a piece of dry pepper' I told him do you know what 'the customer is always right' means? I told him I'm going back to get reimbursed, bringing him the bone that I choked on and never going back there again. Horrible customer service.

I went here recently on a date. Very lively restaurant. Excellent energy and a very friendly staff. I had a shrimp dish and my dare had tacos. Both excellent. The Mariachi singers were excellent also. I really enjoyed it and I will be coming back. Just very enjoyable tome for all.

DO NOT order fajitas for take out. Not because they taste bad but because they are incomplete. Twice now at 2 of their locations (sudbury and norwood) they forgot to include the tortilla wraps! That is the whole essence of fajitas. Sudbury promised by phone to give me a free entree, when I called to complain, by giving my name next visit. When I went there the manager that came over had no idea what I was talking about and gave me only 25% off since I complained. Otherwise, their food is good. Basic, american mexican food. But just make sure to order meals that they have to put together for you for take out. Such as there is a 3 tortilla meal that is fajitas but they build it for you and it costs a dollar or so less than the fajita meal. Only order fajitas if eating IN the restaurant. Also I suggest ordering BLACK BEANS if your item comes with rice and beans. They thankfully have the option, for free, to switch to black beans which are healthier and look and taste better than the refried beans which look like slop on the plate.

went on a Sat night meal time; it was busy but we got seated instantly. waiter was a little blunt but got the job done. food came quickly without an issue and the portions were quite sizable! either that or half the basket of chips and taquito bites filled us up. i couldn't finish my entree of shrimp Portuguese, hub couldn't finish his carnita entree. Unfortunately, between the rich sauce on his plate and the previous deep fried items, his reported a heartburn, which he never had an episode before no matter how much he had consumed. packed the rest and ordered a flan to go. total came to $50; got a $12 for $20 groupon which they happily accepted. it was just a little odd that you were asked to write down that voucher number, exp date, and your own name on the receipt instead of them just hitting "redeem" on your phone. guess there's first time to everything. to be honest i'm not a huge fan of Mexican food to begin with, but hub is. with this in the neighborhood, wouldn't mind coming back, esp with a deal. $50 for a meal and half between the two of us wasn't bad either!

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(3)Tyler P.
(5)chelsea h.
(1)Wes V.

(5)Beth W.

(1)Julie M.
Well, we had a great time and ate good food, drank awesome margaritas and all; but my tummy disagreed with the place so that's why they lost 2 stars - I guess the food was not that fresh. Hope they better that.
(3)Bryan V.
(1)Amber B.
The food was amazing, desert was also good the drinks were strong, so I guess that could be good or bad depending on how you like em'! I would definitely recommend this place! Great ambiance & fast friendly service!
(4)Dan W.
There aren't a lot of options for Mexican around Norwood, so luckily there is Acapulco's. The atmosphere is family friendly and the service is good. The portions are very generous and the variety on the menu is above average. The apps are nice, but their chips and salsa are some of the best around.
(4)Roberta D.
(3)Geoff P.
Just mediocre Mexican food. Service was good and friendly, prices were decent, but the did was OK.
(2)Helen P.
Best Mexican in the entire area! Their food is always great, good service, lots to choose from. We go by all the time. Never been to any other location. Portions are always large and you get free chips and salsa. The ambiance is cute too.
(5)Barry M.
Great Mexican food for lunch. Courteous staff and good service and great chips and salsa. We frequently go there and recommend.

Good Place for the area,ok food Nothing crazy.

My girl friends and I were out for a wonderful night with our daughters to celebrate end of school year, the waiter brings out water and drops 2 glasses of ice-cold water on my girl friend and on the table - her capris and flip-flops are soaking wet. At this point we were only thankful it wasn't hot coffee or hot entrée! The waiters apologize, cleaned up with mop and towels. We decided to let it go and enjoy our evening nonetheless. And lo-behold, the same waiter goes to drop more glasses at the table next to us. More broken glasses, more spillage, more yuck around us and some yelling. Had the girls not be starving we would have perhaps made a go. Instead we decided to sit and endure it. At the end of the meal, when the waiter brought the bill, they had made no effort to compensate for the dropped glasses of water or make it up to us. Needless to say, we will not be going back here.
(2)Stephanie S.
My go to for good food, drinks and service. They generally can seat you right away. The service is always patient and friendly. You can never go wrong with the fresh table side guacamole and the fajita quesadillas.
(4)Dawn A.
(3)Jessica H.

Best flan I've ever had and excellent mole; wife enjoys their pollo ala crema. Best flan I've ever had and excellent mole; wife enjoys their pollo ala crema.
(5)Kate D.

(4)Jimmy A.
(4)Kristen S.
Edible, but bland with no sign of heat! Service was wonderful.
(2)Alex W.
This place is good, I like speedy service BUT NOT lightnight FAST, feels as if the food is ready and was cooked in loads and then re heated in the grill, but that $hit tastes good though. I would go here time and time again, free wifi, nice enviroment, their fried ice cream is to die for !!
(4)Allison M.

Great food for a great price... Amazing cocktails. Great portions.. The staff is always happy to accomodate with the requests. A must do!
(5)Sean P.
(4)Mike M.
Great place. Good food and good drinks. Great price.
(4)Noah E.
We went here a few months back and have been several times since! Great service, food comes out quick and while you wait you get endless fresh cooked chips and salsa. Portion sizes are huge for the meals! You wont go away disappointed!

(3)Lynette S.
(5)Dawn E.

(3)Lindsay L.
The waiters are nice but really slow. The Shrimp Tula was filling flavorful comfort food. There is seating with a nice view of the golf course nearby. And a huge plus...if your feeling adventurous is the Maserati dealership nearby :-) BONUS.
(3)Anna O.
Overpriced, bar tenders will tell you they don't get paid to get more tips, no one speaks English AT ALL. The food is mediocre mostly with a few good items such as the chili con queso.
(3)D. B.
(4)Deeba A.
Reasonable pricing, good for kids. Not very busy and there are free nachos given as an appetizer. Many choices to decide on from the menu and should be to all liking.
(4)Katherine R.
(4)Caren B.
(5)Michael C.
Good food, fair price. Good service. I am a fan
(4)Pete C.
(3)Zoe L.
(5)Erin P.
(5)Kristen G.
I've been coming here for years and always enjoy it. Good Tex-Mex food and tasty margaritas, and staff friendly and attentive.
(4)Jef S.
(3)Katie M.
Pretty good food, service is great especially for a quick lunch
(3)Yaj L.
I never eat over here but whenever i go there the restaurant is pretty full. but the take out its amazing. I am a big fan of their fajita grill chicken. yummy.
(4)K P.
(2)Amanda S.
(3)Bart A.
I went here for lunch with my Cousin one Saturday afternoon. We were seated and our server came over and took our order. We ordered an appetizer of chips with a cheese and beef dip. What came out was a disgusting little bowl of orangey liquid with a couple of beans and a chunk of what was ground beef. For entrees we had ordered a Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken and a Fajita entrée. The Salad that arrived has a plate of Iceberg lettuce with a pile of green goop on it. I had to wait ten minutes for my server to come back and when I tried to explain to him that I didn't order this. I was berated with "that chicken salad that what you order" After having the manager come over and having to explain everything over again I finally got my order back. When my food came back it was the same piece of grilled chicken on some romaine lettuce. with some cheese on it. I put the dressing on and imagine my surprise when it was ranch dressing. I asked the manager to come back and wanted the items taken off the check. After some arguing and after making it seem like I was the problem she agreed to take the salad off the check but she refused to take off the appetizer stating "You ate some of the chips" when I tried to explain that I was not happy with our meal or the service she gave me an attitude of indifference and rudeness delivered in broken English. Needless to say I have never been back.

(4)Mike M.
(2)Mark W.
(2)J C.
One of my favorite restaurants in Norwood. OK so it's not authentic but it is still really yummy food. They've got the best tortilla chips and salsa too!! And the waitstaff is really nice too.
(4)Steve G.
Fast and friendly - that's the way it should be. The staff was quick to seat us and very attentive. Food was as expected: not remarkable, but delicious none the less. Great value for the money, too.
(3)Fin H.
I live nearby. If it is a choice between here and Taco Bell in Walpole, have lunch or dinner here. If I had a choice between staying in Norwood and eating here or driving to Quincy to eat at La Paloma, Quincy it is, even in heavy traffic during a snowstorm.
(3)Doc L.
Food was decent, standard chain-restaurant Mexican food. Service was good, probably because the place was mostly empty, because we went early. The Enchiladas del Mar were a bit salty, but decent. Overall, a good experience, just nothing special.
(3)Parker H.
(3)Laura M.

(3)Matt L.
(3)Johnny B.
(5)Jonathan D.
(3)Tom R.
(4)Uptodate C.
(2)stephanie t.
Yummy!!!
(5)Ally P.
They have some really authentic dishes and the portions always leave the adverage person going home with leftovers! Service always good and we love the neverending chips and salsa! The staff is always nice and helpful - some have even helped decide on certain dishes when your torn between! We love going there!
(4)J C.
I know this is not "real" mexican food but I have to say I still love it! The chips are thick and crispy and I love their salsa. I usually get the chicken mole. It's delicious!! Service is quick and friendly.
(5)Marc F.
Hard to find great mexican in Massachusetts. I think this is very good. Tasty, and affordable. Fantastic Fajitas. Drinks are good too. Very good for families, especially on the weekends as they have pretty high turnover so you don't have to wait.
(4)Michelle B.
(4)carolyn b.
One of the best mexican restaurants I have been to. The food is excellent -the serivce is great. I love the margaritas-sooo yummy. It is nice place to meet friends and get some appetizers. The nachos are yummy - the spinach, chickern quesadilla is really good.. Check it out.
(4)Mike M.
(4)Linh P.
Great food......great, lively folks at the bar in the evening. :). Friendly staff, drinks are generous....once you get to know the bartender. . Overall, a terrific place.
(5)Bella C.
(1)Edson R.
The food was better the first time I was there, This time it was average. The staff were very nice. I probably will not go back again
(3)John W.
