We chose Giuseppe's purely based on it's location to the Solomon Pond Mall b/c we were heading to a movie after. Lucky for us that we did! Mr Bethany and I were seated right away on Saturday night. We were waited on by Diane & Michael. Icy glasses of water were brought straight away followed by fresh, warm bread & half of a roasted head of garlic. Beautiful beginnings. Mr Bethany chose the Chicken Saltimbocca. He was feeling feisty & chose not to have his usual parm. I wanted to try the Chicken Tuscany but the cream sauce it was supposed to come with was not what I was looking for on such a warm night. I explained my concern to Diane & she suggested subbing in a lighter garlic & olive oil sauce. Winner! This was by far one of the tastier chicken dishes I have had. My dish consisted of three thick chicken tenderloins, sauteed with artichoke hearts, red & yellow bell pepper strips, sliced mushrooms & perfectly cooked penne pasta. Had we not had a movie to attend -- dessert would have been lovely. Next time!

I feel like I've written a review for this place a few times, but I dunno, I guess I didn't so here goes. I like this place. Always get a cocktail, they are always fantastic. We usually get the apple walnut salad, fresh mixed greens with apple, strawberry, walnut and just a little gorgonzola. We also get the margarita pizza which is always fantastic. The place isn't perfect, it could use some updating and the wait staff isn't Always perfect. But it's decent food for a pretty good price. Sadly it doesn't seem that they are as busy as they used to be, not sure if it's just an economy issue or what.

Just finished eating here and I have to say the food was excellent! I had the chicken with mushrooms, artichokes and prosciutto in a garlic cream sauce. The pasta is homemade and that was a wonderful surprise! My daughter had the lasagna and loved it. My husband and son had the mangia calzone. Tons of meat and the sauce was tasty. The server, Brett was knowledgable about the menu and extremely attentive Great experience!

So Italian is usually not my first choice when dining out, but this place might have changed my mind. Food was delicious and service was efficient despite the restaurant being packed. Live music on the weekends too!

My friend and I came here on our lunch break, hoping to take advantage of the nice weather and enjoy the outdoor seating. I was annoyed right at the beginning when there was no one at the hostess counter. Neither of us had been here before so I was not sure if it was hostess seating or seat yourself. A server (who turned out to be our server) came by while I was waiting for my friend, did not greet me, but just asked where I wanted to sit. I told her I was waiting for a friend. Once my friend arrived we walked outside and the same server told us to pick a table. The lemlonade I ordered tasted like sugary juice box junk. My friend ordered a wrap and I ordered a pasta special. Both were delicious. The server came by when she delivered the food and again when she brought us silverware because we didnt have any. After that we did not see her again until 30 minutes later, when we walked into the restaurant to look for her because we had to pay our bill and get back to work. My friend got a bug in her drink as we were sitting outside, and I wanted a water as the lemonade was nasty, neither of which we got because the server was MIA. It was lunchtime, the place was not packed but it looked busy enough for the only 2 servers we saw in there. The waitress mentioned that she was busy, which would have been perfectly fine, had she showed any sense of urgency or personality. Not sure if we will be back for the good food as we don't know what kind of service we will get next time around.

I am here now and it was just okay. Our server Pam was very inattentive definitely had to drink your drink slowly. Also we are sitting neat the kitchen and its so loud.

Excellent casual Italian fare. If you are shopping at the Solomon Pond Mall, and have an inclination to visit the nearby busy Olive Garden for Italian food, do yourself a favor and drive five more minutes to Guiseppe's Grille. It's a worthwhile alternative with a more well-rounded menu. Slightly more expensive but worth it, and the location (by the lake) is nicer.

On a beautiful Wednesday evening, my wife and I thought it would be nice to go out for dinner with our baby instead of staying in. We wanted something outdoors if possible, and not too fancy. I knew of Guiseppe's Grille from some people I work with and was aware that they had outdoor patio seating overlooking a pond. The menu on their website seemed nice, and Yelp had nothing but nice things to say about it. So we decided to give it a try. We were seated at an outdoor table, the baby was sleeping in his car seat, and the waiter soon greeted us to take a drink order. I had a good feeling about this evening. They had a couple of nice wine choices by the glass. We each ordered ones we were familiar with. After clinking our glasses in celebration of a night out, we took our first sips and both made disgusted faces. We tried each others and agreed they were both very vinegary. When the waiter came back to drop off bread, I told them that they didn't taste right and asked to return them. I also wanted him to check with the bartender on when the bottles were opened, so in case they were old he could get us some fresh ones. He returned some time later and said that the bartender wasn't sure when they were opened and walked away. No offer of a fresh glass or even any other beverage. This certainly put a damper on our moods. Before you assume I'm some kind of wine snob, I've NEVER returned a glass of wine before...NEVER. We had decided to share one of their "Gourmet Italian Pies"; the Funghi Pepperoni. The pizza looked and tasted like it was right of out any given local sub-par pizza joint. In fact, I joked with my wife that it might have been since the waiter seemed upset that we returned the wine. There were pools of grease across the top of it and the crust was limp. Overall it was an extremely disappointing night out. Maybe the entrees are worthwhile and truly " handmade with fresh, authentic Old World ingredients, all created by a Chef who has truly honed his craft." (cited from guiseppes-grille.com/men… ; 08//27/2011). Judging by the pizza though, I doubt it.

Went to Guiseppe's on a Saturday night, and the place was packed. We had to wait for a table, but that wasn't a big deal as we found seats at the bar and had a drink while we waited. As a starter they bring you delicious warm bread with olive oil and roasted garlic to dip it in; I'd go back just for that alone! The place was definitely noisy, and service was a bit slow, though our waiter was apologetic (and given how busy it was, I don't think it was really his fault). I had the eggplant parm and my boyfriend had the Roberto's BLT pizza, and both were delicious (my boyfriend is now obsessed with the pizza and is always suggesting we go back to Guiseppe's!). Prices were reasonable. We also got takeout one night from Guiseppe's (same pizza and eggplant parm), I didn't think the eggplant parm was quite as good as the first time, but when is takeout ever better than the meal you'd get in the restaurant? I'll definitely go back to Guiseppe's, though maybe on a weeknight when it isn't so loud and crowded.

I stopped in here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised with my experience. The service was a little slow, but they were attentive. I started with the tortellini soup which was pretty good. It was free with my entree so the fact it was actually good was a bonus in my book. I also like that the bread they served was warm and it was served with oil and garlic. For my entree I got the pollo disarrona. It was grilled chicken in an amaretto cream sauce with peppers, almonds & gorgonzola over penne. The flavor was very original and I would recommend it. The wine list was pretty good and the prices were very low for a restaurant. I enjoyed a nice glass of Montepulciano for only 6.25. The beer and cocktail list looked pitiful so I would stick to the wine. I skipped desert although they looked to have a bunch of interesting selections. I will definitely be going again once the weather gets nice so I can try out the outdoor seating that they have.

wonderful meal lakeside, the restaurant is on a backroad, you have to be a local to stumble across this place and yet the place is often packed. i yelped from marlboro and this place didn't show up at all... thankfully i was with locals who don't pay attention to yelp, this place is a real find!

We came back last night for dinner, and since violent thunderstorms appeared to be imminent, we opted to eat indoors. That was fine and dandy, until the end of our meal, when the Lounge Act started. Oh, dear, they were awful. Started out with a Louis Jordan song, which they murdered. I love Louis Jordan. A little part of me died while listening. Other than that, it was swell. I started with a Mediterranean Salad, which they did up right. You know, they tossed the greens in dressing, and then added the olives, cukes, grape tomatoes, and other yummies. Perfection! I ordered the Chicken Parm. It also was grand. It was easily the largest portion of food I've ever been served, however. And I don't mean that they gave me tons of pasta either. There was easily 3 pounds of Chicken cutlet served to me. My only complaint would be to add more garlic, and Parmesan to it. It was slightly bland for me, but I'm a whore for garlic. We wrapped up the leftovers, and will be eating dinner for two off it. Sweetie got the Chicken Saltimboca, which was delicious. Her portion size was normal. We were hoping to order the potato and bacon pizza I had last time we were here. Apparently, that's a Lunch menu item. Service, from the hosting, and through the meal, was terrific. Again, we left without even being able to contemplate dessert. The tray still looks great though...

Just had a great meal with friends out on the deck. Our waitress was very good despite having a lot of tables. Very attentive. The food came out fresh, hot and tasty. None of us had any complaints and would highly recommend it to others.

Went last night, we are regular customers with friends who go far more often than us. We have been through there inconsistent service and quality ( same dishes sometimes god sometimes just OK, portion size variations, especially in the meal sized salads, etc - I stopped ordering the mushroom ravioli because of this)) numerous times but came back again. Last night was the last straw. My wife ordered her usual Lasagna Bolognese and I ordered the Vitello Scallopini special. The waitress brought out the dishes and looking at the Lasagna and we all couldn't believe our eyes. It was the size of a child's portion, had no sauce on it and the garlic bread was laying in the dish in what little oil and sauce there was. We sent it back, 2 minutes later the waitress comes back with it saying the cook said that is the normal size. He also never added more sauce to it. It was dry. Told waitress to forget it and asked for manager. The manager comes over, we told her what the issue is: her response is "SO?". We go through this a couple of times and I tell her to go check. She goes to the kitchen to check it out and comes back with a new piece of Lasagna that was clearly larger, covered in sauce in a larger dish and claims its the same piece served over 5 minutes earlier but in a larger dish, That it was the smaller dish that made the other piece look smaller. Huh???? Isn't it usually the other way around? She argued saying it was the presentation of the dish that was the issue not the food itself. At that point we were ready to walk out but my friends were eating and my wife had started at my dish, which was very good, but as par for he course was missing the crab that was supposed to be on it; something we have seen before. At this point, I wasn't going to go back to her and get told it "doesn't come with crab meat" or some other argument telling me I'm wrong again!! Her attitude was all wrong from the moment she came over, likely why the waitress was hesitant to call her in the first place, tries to a switch of the dish to say nothing is wrong and argues with us about it. It was clearly another piece not the one originally presented. Needless to say, while we used to enjoy the place, the four of us agreed we would NOT be going back anytime soon. Its unfortunate that so many places cannot function properly when the owner is not there. The only thing that brought the rating to 2 almost 3 stars is my dish was very tasty, even though it was missing the crab.

They serve a dish called the Steak Angelo, I think thats the name, and it is OUT OF THIS WORLD as far as fancy steaks go. I think there's gorgonzola cheese, portabella mushroom and mashed potatoes with this amazing drizzled sauce. I'm drooling ... it's that good! Its in a good neighborhood but watch the stuff in your car though. Some idiot smashed a few windows to get the lunchtime laptops that owner carelessly left in plain site on their seats.

I've been coming to Guiseppe's Grill for 6 years now and I must say I have never been dissapointed. Things have always been good, but latley they have been GREAT! When I walk into the restaraunt I am always greated with a smile! They start you with bread and delicious oil and parmasean cheese accompanied by fresh roasted garlic! My husband LOVES this! We seem to always get the calamari which is amazing, perfectly cooked with yummy marinara on the side. However, we have tried serveral other appetizers which wre all delicious, we just love calamari! We tend to get the specials a lot since they won't always have them. We went there last night and I had pecan crusted scallops with cranberry risotto. It was cooked to perfection. Service was right on key.. there when we needed refills and to check on us but not overly attentive giving us time to enjoy our meal. The atmosphere is really nice which adds to the experience. I've had several italian dishes as well. The portions are large and the price is right! I can't say enough good things about Guiseppes.. I HIGHLY reccommend it! --go check it out :)

Really like this place. Sat out on the deck for dinner and the water was just really beautiful and relaxing. Prices are reasonable. Yummy salads! Our waitress was great too. The staff are all very nice people. I had the butternut squash ravioli and they were very good. Large portions. I can't wait to go back and try other things. I also like how they are not on top of your head every 5 minutes rushing you. Inside seating is very nice as well. You should definitely have a nice night out at this restaurant if you're in the area.

Great, affordable Italian in the 'burbs. Have been here for several lunch and dinner meals and enjoyed them all. Great wait staff, large portions, and very affordable prices compared to the North End. They have a lunch buffet that I haven't tried -- have stuck with some of my tried and true favorites. Their chicken parm is great, and their calzones and huge, crispy, and stuffed to order with whatever you want.

Food was good, service was very slow and inattentive and they crammed every table that came in into the same area. The cheesecake dessert crust was burnt. I will try it again, but will definitely sit at the bar.

A Gem!!!! I have lived in Northborough for 10 years and basically ignored this restaurant. We went when it first opened and though "yeah, that was good" but never went to eat again. I've gone to the bar a bunch of times with coworkers and thought, "Maybe we should get some food..." but we never did. Last night., we went for dinner and I was WOWED!!!!!!! We wanted to sit outdoors and the no-name lake on Hudson St. proved the perfect setting. The food was fabulous. The gorgonzola salad was nicely balanced and had enough of everything so that each bite of spinach had a yummy morsel to go with it- cheese, sundried tomator, etc. My entree was the butternut squash ravioli. WOW!! It was orgasmic, I swear! The pasta, the chicken, the pesto cream sauce, the dried cranberries. OH MY GOD! My husband had the pasta with salmon in dill sauce-equally wonderful and my daughter had the linguini alfredo. Delicious, every bite! My only complaint was that our service was only great at the beginning of the meal. Our server knew another couple on the deck and she spent a lot fo time chatting with them while we waited for things. The wait wouldn't have been as bad if we didn't have to listen to her shooting the breeze. Get me my damn cannoli!

Three of us went to dinner this Saturday, right at the start of the snowstorm. The place was pretty empty, despite it being 7 p.m. on a Saturday. Our food was outstanding, the prices reasonable. My prime rib was extremely tasty. The only negative was that the waitress needed to slow down a little. She tried to take my friend's plate when he still had a forkful of food that he was about to eat. Otherwise, a very enjoyable meal.

Ordered gnocchi with marinara and bruschetta for my wife on Sunday at 8pm ( maybe that was my fatal mistake) for take out, lady said it would take 10 minutes. Wife got there ten minutes later and food wasn't ready (nbd), lady asked what she wanted again as if she didn't write down my order when I called. Wife proceeded to wait another 10 minutes for food. Wife gets home and digs in. Gnocchi was cold and clumped together and bruschetta was basically chopped tomatoes on a toasted sub roll. Needless to say she didn't eat. Probably won't be doing take out again. Based on the reviews I might try dining in, during prime time.

I was recommended this restaurant from a friend who comes here all the way from Stoneham. I decided to try it Saturday night and brought my two young daughters and their friend. We sat outside on the deck, and Kat, our wonderful server gave the kids bread to feed the ducks, fish, frogs, and turtles. So much fun for the kids. Our food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Homemade mozzarella marinara, a salad, chicken Parmesan, ravioli, Pizza, and lobster risotto. Yum.

Have come here 2 times. The first time I ordered a sandwich off of their lunch menu. It was quite good! The inside decor badly needs to be updated. My friend ordered a pasta dish which I grabbed a taste of. It had good flavor. The second time I came, my husband and I sat on the deck outside. The server was very friendly, though a tad awkward. There was another waitress working outside who was extremely rude. She would interrupt us, while we were talking with our waiter, to complain. The lighting outside was not very good. We went around 7pm for dinner time and could not see one thing! Our waiter noticed us squinting and brought over a few tiny candles, which was nice of him. There was live music inside which sounded not too terrible. I ordered the pasta and meatballs which were not all too exciting, surprising since they are an Italian restaurant and that is a pretty basic meal to order. The flavor of the sauce was not terrible, but not really that good either. My husband ordered the steak which he also said was just alright. We both really liked the bread and roasted garlic. I also ordered a side garden salad that was really, really nice. A lot of great veggies on top and the house dressing was yummy, not too thick and not too watery. I would come back again and possibly recommend.

I had the most delicious seafood Alfredo with lobster ravioli tonight. The scallops were tender and so tasty. There was calamari and shrimp as well. It was served with spinach and tomatoes.

My first time here as a result recommendation from a friend. The service is attentive, timely and friendly. The food attractiveness is up there for a suburban joint. The water side deck is a quaint and relaxing that is great for a date night. Take a look at my pictures. The presentation is good and nicely done. I personally prefer more robust flavoring but there is nothing that a few shakes of salt and pepper cannot fix. Overall happy and will come back again.

Well not a good day today. Restaurant has potential. Butter hands waitress dropped my water glass. Crash! Understaffed. Forgot the bread. I ordered pear pizza with Gorgonzola but they thought I wouldn't notice? Feta cheese! Wrong ingredients they lied! Sorry sent back they took it off the bill. Thank goodness the meat on top was best dog food. Whoops butter fingers again but she is pleasant enough. The red sauce is very good. The bar is a dark dungeon good for escaping reality.

GUISEPPE'S grille CLOSED three months ago!!!! Only Canoli Cafe is open. It's a cute limited deli-type place. A little venue. Canoli was very good. They gave us a plate of Italian vegetables with our sandwiches.

Splendid place! Came here on a busy Saturday night around 9pm and we were pleasantly greeted by two lady's by the front door. We were promptly seated in a booth and attended to. There was live music playing in the bar area next door, so we benefited from that too. The roasted garlic and bread they serve you is divine! Really... The bread is warm, they give you a plate with olive oil and grated cheese, you sprinkle some salt and it is amazing! We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and asked for the cherry peppers to be excluded. It was a nice size portion, not a tiny amount like other places. Let me tell you, this is the best calamari this side of Route 495! They are crispy, flavorful, and their mildly spicy marinara sauce is delicious. If for nothing else, come for some good calamari! So I ordered the Shrimp Scampi, and boy was that some good stuff. Again, they give you a good amount of shrimp, not just 3 or 4 as other places might. The shrimp is a medium size and the plate portion is also a good size, but the best part is the flavor that is infused throughout the entire plate. It is this lemony-buttery marvelous concoction that begs you for another bite, after bite, after bite. Good stuff I tell ya! Anyway, this place is nice, somewhat casual, but with a hint of elegant. They have a beautiful deck out back with lovely views of the lake and some limited seating as well, which I surmise must be hard to get on a lovely spring or summer afternoon or early evening. My wife had a Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken. Even though they use iceberg lettuce, she liked the flavor, but we both expected something a little bit more diverse, like maybe some colorful field greens. We thought they were trying to say "you gotta order something other than a salad the next time you come here." Point taken. For dessert we had this raspberry tart that was so good, that we gobbled it up even though we were already pretty full from the meal. It was delicious! Our server was very friendly and always attentive. He did seem a bit busy at times, and only when I ordered the second glass of wine did I think it took a little bit longer than expected, but he came through just as I was thinking about it, plus it gave me time to talk to my wife :-). In summary, this place is excellent for an Italian place and it's not too expensive. We had an appetizer, two main dishes, three glasses of wine, and an appetizer for a total of $59 (after using a 10% off Yelp discount which I only noticed when I opened the app to check-in! Thanks Yelp!). So five stars it is!

Another reviewer wrote about the urine smell and I definitely smelled it as I walked through the dining room. It was dark inside. I went today (Saturday afternoon). We sat outside. The view was nice. Waitress was satisfactory and accommodated our separate check request. I had the beet salad with gorgonzola and candied pecans. it was delicious!! I also had the lasagna it was excellent. A friend had shrimp scampi and she really loved it. Another friend had pasta with shrimp and chicken and said it was just ok. I'd go back but only if I could sit outside. As I walked out a guy told me he had the best chicken parm of his life there.

Going online, I saw that the overall Yelp reviews averaged 4 stars. Yelp doesn't list reviews chronologically, so I did not see that most recent reviews reveal that service there has tanked! And the service was horrible. We walked in at 2pm today, Saturday. The bar was full, but we asked to sit in the dining room. We were seated in the middle booth on the inside wall that only has three booths. I sat down and was overcome by a smell of URINE! Old urine. I suspect that either a youngster with a leaky diaper sat there, or an incontinent adult. Some booths are vinyl, this one was fabric, and it stunk! We were promptly moved after I said something, but then the guy seated a couple right in the same booth. And I could see the look on the woman's face! But she didn't say anything. The guy clearly did not care at all that someone pissed in one of his booths. Either the restaurant staff knows about it and doesn't care or they are just being cheap by not replacing it or at least getting it cleaned and sanitized. The dining room was freezing cold. There were only four tables filled. There was at least one person at each table dining with his or her coat on. That would be a hint. There was a family finishing up their meal and the children wouldn't eat because they wouldn't take off their coats, hats, and mittens! Mmm, another hint. The family left and another couple came in. Took their coats off, then put them right back on. Again, are they being cheap by not turning on the heat? I asked for tea. Got the silver hot water holder with the tea bag. Only half full. Really? You can't be generous enough to fill the thing with hot water? I got no cream or sugar that I asked for. Again, cheap. My boyfriend got grilled salmon over risotto. The only redeeming item between us was the risotto. That was good. The salmon, meh. My dish....get a load of this. Shrimp scampi. Mmm hmm. I can understand a little lemon to freshen up the flavor of the shrimp. But shrimp scampi is sauteed shrimp in garlic and olive oil (as listed on their menu). There was no garlic. There was overbearing lemon and oil. When a restaurant overuses lemon, it is because they are masking something. I ate the shrimp. It was okay, not old. But the pasta had a weird taste. Like that of my gramma's basement. Musty. Perhaps the packaging of the pasta got wet, and they didn't want to throw it out? A theme here? Like, cheap? Yep, I thought so. Tthe server took the cost of my dish off the bill after I asked to speak to the manager. I really wanted to speak to a manager, but I have a feeling there wasn't one there at the time. It was more than just the lemon issue and I wanted to share my concerns. No manager ever appeared after we requested to speak to one. Judging from the previous reviews, this was once a good place. Something happened. And I don't need to spend my dollars there. See ya, Guiseppe's!

I would give this establishment 5 stars, but our waiter seemed like he cared less about me and my boyfriend while we were here, which is very upsetting because i always love talking to our server, even if its just for 25 seconds. The food was fantastic, we started off by splitting the nachos which was such a good call. They were so delicious and the crab meat on top reminded me almost of crab rangoons. I had some gnocchi dish which was actually only okay, i wanted it to be better than it was, my gnocchi was so squishy, i didn't want to say anything because i didn't want to ruin our time. On the other hand, my boyfriend LOVED his chicken with mashed potatoes and french fries! I will be going back maybe in a month or two!

We had dinner here three times over a two month period. The first time I gave it 4 stars. The last two times have been a disaster. We ordered Chicken Marsala again and again. It appears that they are pre-cooking their chicken, and as a result, our chicken was over cooked There was very little prosciutto and too much oil or butter in our dishes. We decide to give the restaurant one last chance. This time my wife's Chicken Marsala was oily, tasteless and lacking in the amount of prosciutto in her meal. My Chicken Marsala was difficult to even chew, I complained to my server, she brought back to the kitchen and said that the chef stated that it was a center cut, and that's why it was so tough. Okay, I have never heard that one before. After another fifteen minutes it was finally replaced with what appeared to be a prepared from scratch dish since it arrived so piping hot that I had to let it cool for a few minutes before diving into a once again over-cooked Chicken Marsala . Needless to say we will never be returning to this restaurant again.

First time visit. Stopped off the highway on the way to see family around dinnertime with our two children. We were seated very quickly. Our server Pam was very friendly, with a great sense of humor and helpful with recommendations. Pam made us feel like we were regulars. The food was great and well worth the prices. Specifically the Seafood Alfredo was delicious with good portions. Enjoyed the warm bread with olive oil and roasted garlic. Will look for this exit again when passing through!!

I finally made it in to Guiseppe's for a planned dinner date with some friends. When we first arrived the place was not too busy but quickly filled up. The booth was clean, the food was good, and our waiter was attentive. We did end up staying for quite a while as we were doing a lot of catching up, so we ordered dessert and made sure to tip extra for our extended seating. Nothing really stood out as being superlative, but there were no problems and I could see coming back here again.

We had another great experience here last night. Dinner on the deck with friends consisted of excellent stuffed mushrooms appetizers to delicious lobster raviolis and pasta main courses. The views are wonderful and feeding the fish with leftover bread was hilarious! I highly recommend you try this hidden jewel after a mall shopping trip or just for their take out wood fired oven pizzas!!

First time at this restaurant-these are some of my thoughts: Appearance/ambiance: The outward appearance of the building is nothing special. It's not particularly inviting or impressive, and the interior matches the same feel. They do have a nice outdoor deck on the water, and that definitely is a draw...I will have to check that out when it warms up a bit. Food/drinks: I was initially impressed with their vast menu, and by the creativity of their dishes. My girl ordered the crab quesadilla, and I ordered the chicken Marsala. We were both impressed with our meals, and left very content. I also really enjoyed the bread and roasted garlic and oil they serve before the meal. It was creative, tasty, and a nice personal touch. Service: Very impressive, and quite professional. Our server is the reason this restaurant gets 4 stars instead of 3. We even had a small issue of a dirty cocktail glass, and he took it back without question and got us a new one. A nice experience. Overall: A nice overall experience, and a good meal. I would return, especially to sit outside on the deck!

The quality of the food was very good. The restaurant is very clean, organized and set up for a family dinner or date night. My night went well, from good food to good atmosphere. My only complain is the staff. Our waitress was not attentive, as a result, we were waiting around for our orders. It was honestly frustrating watching other tables get their food first. Also, other waitresses seemed as if they couldn't handle the pressure of a busy Saturday night. They were running around frantically, which seems inappropriate in a restaurant. Other than that, the food and atmosphere is good. They just need to train their staff, desperately!

First time there and went in with an upset 9 year old. Kat was our waitress and was fabulous. Drew him out and enjoyed a conversation throughout the whole dinner, Which by the way was delicious. The only way to top it was the wonderful fried sough, lemon cake/cheesecake and chocolate cheesecake. To top it all, they were fabulous with my life threatening food allergies.

We absolutely love Giuseppe's. The food is consistently great and Graciano does a fantastic job to catering to individual needs and wants. I also want to say that we had them cater our wedding. Amy and Graciano went above and beyond to make the day special and people still talk about the food.

Went out with the girls. Good food, really nice outside deck overlooking Solomon Pond. Roasted garlic bread was splendid! Stuffed salmon was very good. Our waitress Cat was wonderful, very attentive and fun! We'll be back!

We've been here twice now. Our first experience was just so-so, so, we gave it another shot and went on Saturday 12/27 for dinner. Our waiter must have been brand new. He was not attentive at all, left dirty appetizer plates all over our table until the meal came and he had to scramble to remove everything. He didn't know the specials, had them written down on a receipt and was laughing about how unprepared he was. He even shouted at another waiter asking about a special - didn't find out the answer and just told us - well, it's good. He just seemed out of it, flustered - but he was friendly so I'll give him that. For an appetizer we enjoyed the calamari - I will say, 5 starts for their calamari I've had it twice at Guiseppe's and it's perfectly done. Now for the unfortunate part - two of us ordered the baked stuffed haddock - the most disappointing entrees of the night. The fish was NOT cooked thoroughly and I suspected this as I was eating so most of the fish was still on my plate when he waiter came to take everything away - same with the other person at our table that ordered the same thing. You would think he would have asked- was everything okay? Clearly it wasn't. He didn't ask - we aren't complainers so we just paid our bill and left. I was sick within minutes of leaving and barely made it home before I was throwing up for the next 48 hours. I will never step foot in Guiseppe's Grille again.

I have gone here before. The food is very good the service is not so good. We were going for my sons birthday and we had our 17 month old baby with us. We arrived with no reservations and they sat us at a table that was much to small for our family. We had seven of us and a baby and we were cramed into this little area. I asked politly to be moved because the baby basically had no where to eat. They were very nice and moved to a different area. We still felt a bit uncorftable but it was better than the prevuios area. We procited to order drinks we ordered wine and regular drinks for the kids. I ordered a coors light draft and it came out flat as can be, yuk. I think it was the bottom.of the barrell. We ordered apps and they sent the wrong ones actually not all were wrong just one. Very frustrating!! Like i said before the food here is wonderful i think they just need to work on there service. My wife and i got the feeling that they do not like to have babys in there resturant. I could be wrong but we felt very uncorfortable in this resturant. We recieved our bill and they had charged us for the incorrect app. Ahhgghh!!! As crazy as this sounds i would come back here because the food is good. But please work on your service.

Food is always top notch. Depending on the night the service can be a little slow. Place is a little out dated, but there is live music, a patio, and a decent beer and wine list. Older crowd in the bar area.

First time eating here. No complaints AT ALL. Pamela, our server, was attentive but not intrusive. She confirmed with the kitchen that my dish was completely vegetarian down to the broth base. My husband LOVED his steak. Too much food for dessert. We will be back for sure!

This place is unreal! I have now been twice and consider it the best Italian restaurant in Massachusetts outside of the North End selection in Boston and it even beats some of those. Their pasta is incredible along with all of their other meals. Since visiting Italy and finding out what real pasta is supposed to be, I am very snobby about pasta in America and rarely order it and even more rarely believe it was a good purchase. It is a WONDERFUL purchase at Giuseppes. The prices are incredibly affordable as well. Compared to Via in Worcester, this restaurant runs circles around them in food, menu and pricing. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This place is a favorite of mine. They have a wonderful deck overlooking the lake and the atmosphere is your classic Italian restaurant. The food is delicious and never disappoints. I love the warm bread served with roasted garlic, oil and parmesean with hots. So good! Great sangria and cosmos as well. They have open mic a few days a week and sometimes bands. Lots of parking.

Went tonight for the second time, this time for dinner. My husband and I arrived around 5:15 and sat out on the balcony. We enjoyed our drinks and dinner overlooking Solomon Pond. It was so pleasant and tranquil. Our waitress, Katerina, was exceptional. She attended to us promptly and checked on us during dinner. My husband had Veal Saltimbuca and I had Butternut Ravioli with Chicken in a delicious cream sauce with pecans and cranberries. Prior to our meals we had some wondefully fresh baked bread with oil/red pepper & parmesian for dipping and also a big bulb of roasted garlic (which was all mine and I enjoyed it all) along with the bread we shared a salad. I have to say everything was so delicious and it was all served up very pleasing to the eyes. I boxed half my meal and we ordered desert, a chocolate canoli for my husband and apple carmel cake/pie served with ice cream. I have to say the entire meal was sumptious and we left feeling satiated and looking forward to our next visit.

Loved this place. Honestly, we both we're put off by the worn look of everything (sorry) and were expecting very little because of that, however, BAM! Start to finish - home run. We had the grilled vegetable antipasto app and (I kid you not) it was inspiring. Oh - I forgot the bread - warm and served with a half head of roasted garlic, olive oil , parm cheese - I can't believe I for got that! Back to the antipasto: Beautifully grilled vegetables over a bed of spinach. Simple, beautiful and delicious. My Marsala was honestly some of the best I've ever had and the Bolegnese, was delicious. Our server, Katrina, was great (with trainee Elaine? in tow). The desert tray looked paltrey - but the caramel cheesecake we took home was spectacular.

Sarah was the bartender/server who waited on me today. Very pleasant, upbeat, and helpful. The view from the bar overlooks Solomon Pond, and on a beautiful day, its nice to enjoy a nice cocktail and relax. There is plenty of shade available for those who are sun-sensitive as well! Definitely the perfect setting inside and out for a first date, or an evening with family! Also, live entertainment EVERY weekend Thursday through Saturday!

Came here twice. Same waitress. The steaks were very good and very fairly priced. The bruschetta was yummy and the antipasto was quite big. Drinks were strong. Service friendly and professional. We will definitely be back.

I took my co-workers here for a casual dinner after work. We kept it simple with a few apps and pizza. The Apps were very good. I would suggest the Roman Nachos, which are an Italian spin in nachos with pita chips and crab meat on top. We ordered a few pizza (Meat, Steak, Chicken) and all of them were great. We did grab a few drinks in the bar area where there was some live music, which is never a bad thing.

Once a month a group of us meet at Guiseppe;s Grille for great food, good drinks , great fun and dancing with music performed by the fabulous Mason Tyler Trio. Never a bad meal, and our waiter/bartender James O'Neil is the best! His service to his customers is impeccable and respectful with the utmost professionalism. Always a great dining experience when he waits on us. Deb V

Great Italian food. Pizza is surprisingly good and the prices aren't bad. I always sit in the bar area and the service is always reliable in there. They have really good beer specials once and a while which makes for a cheap night out. Been here 5 times and each time was great. Nice establishment. A++

Great atmosphere in the dining room which is well separated from an active bar area. Welcoming dining area with white table cloths, water views, easy parking and great food! Try the eggplant or chicken parm for a truly satisfying meal. Ample portions with very good marinara sauce. Lasagna is good as well. I would have given five stars however the wait service has been inconsistent over the 4 or 5 times I have dined here.

Beautiful setting, great food and wonderful service. Their wine list is a bit small but adequate and the serve cocktails too. And in case you are wondering they do have a children's menu, but the deck on the lake is very romantic so if it isn't to hot or cold you might want to get a sitter.

My first experience here wasn't stellar but friends tell me it's a good spot. Our server seemed to be on another planet. We would ask for things, refills, bread etc and she would forget. We asked for bread 3x and it came at the end of entree service. Details in the restaurant need attention. Not one set of silverware on the table matched and a few pieces on the table were dirty. Wine was served in improper glassware. I ordered a margarita pizza which essentially was just a plain cheese pizza. Menu offer description of mozzerella and basil. No basil on top and minimal sauce. Another person ordered meatballs. We sent them back the first time because they were cold in the middle. A new order came they were still cold. Sent them back again and got hot ones. Manager came to the table which was nice. I was surprised to see we were charged for the entree however.

We decided to visit Guissepe's as the Olive Garden down the road had a long wait and we wanted to see a movie. Being on a tight time schedule we and having driven past Guissepe's multiple times we decided to give it a shot. As we entered the restaurant we were greeted by no one as no one was at the front of the restaurant. I hate that awkward feeling when you are in limbo and not really knowing what to do. A server came out and asked the couple ahead of us if they were all set not really acknowledging the line forming behind them. Eventually a hostess arrived and sat us at a table in the middle of the restaurant. The decor is dated and the dining room crowded. The server was moving quickly and we ordered our drinks and dinners together in the hopes of saving time. We ordered the Bruschetta which was actually good. The bread was soft w/ balsamic and tomatoes and melted mozzarella. My sister ordered the antipasto salad and what arrived she described as a deli platter from Shaws. It was loaded w/ rolled meats which overwhelmed the salad and having had many an antipasto was just not appealing. My chicken Saltimboca was just mediocre if that. The chicken was an overcooked flat small piece of meat w/ a slice of ham on top w/ slightly undercooked mozzarella on top which all just separated as the chicken was cut. The penne I had requested was a bit overcooked for my taste. The Lobster Ravioli special was in my opinion frozen ravioli w/ cut up tomatoes which were more plentiful on the plate than the ravioli. I think there were 7 ravioli and I would dare anyone to find much lobster within those ravioli. So the server was hustling and we got out quickly and made our movie with time to spare. The food was mediocre and for 3 meals w/ Brushetta and sodas x3 was about $70 which for what we received was way overpriced. My sister barely touched her meal and the sever did not even inquire if there was an issue with the meal. We were just happy to leave and in all fairness did not comment on the meals while we were there. I was so surprised that the Restaurant and parking lot was full and there seems to be a lot of regulars. Maybe I visited on an off night but this experience does not entice me to want to return any time soon. I think the Olive Garden would have been a better option.

Went here for dinner yesterday on a first date. They were out of the lobster ravioli, so I had to fall back on the mushroom ravioli. She went with the gnocchi. Both were very good. Gnocchi tasted homemade, mushroom ravioli had a good marsala sauce that complemented the assorted mushrooms well. Wait staff was pretty decent. The bartender we dealt with after the meal was really good. Offered good beer suggestions, and treated us well. For the price, it's well worth a trip. Mangia!

I had the New York sirloin filet and it was delicious. The waitress Pam provided good suggestions about the menu. The kitchen was backed up , but the waitress kept coming by to tell us status of our food order. The interior was clean and relaxing. They have live music in the attached bar, but the sound is quiet due to doors that are kept closed. They have a great deck that you can eat your meal overlooking the Solomon Pond. Within 1 mile of huge shopping mall and cinema complex. The food was hot and the drinks are were cool cold. Great place to eat with your wife and friends.

S..L..O..W....service & it wasn't a busy time, 3 pm. We both ordered entree salads with optional meat/fish. No bread was offered. The salads were delicious. The fish was especially well-prepared. However, the serving were small and we were hungry when we left.

Very tasty Italian - American fare. Comfortable surroundings and a very pleasant wait staff. We had the lobster ravioli and chicken picatta for dinner. The service was excellent, and not rushed. The bread and roasted garlic is delicious. Will most definitely return to try some other things on the menu.

I was here last Friday night with some friends, I wasn't even particularly hungry, but the food coming out looked so good, I decided to order a pizza. I ordered the margherita, which was described as having fresh sauce, mozzarella and basil. For 10 bucks I expected a little personal-sized pizza, but this bad boy was 16 inches of perfectly cooked excellence. The crust was thin, crispy, and the sauce and cheese were excellent. Service was very good as well. This place will get a return visit, for sure!

This place is so underrated and should be way busier than it is! This is our go to restaurant we absolutely love the food here. Everything is fresh and pastas homemade. We got Brett again, and he was as friendly and professional as 7 months ago. we got to sit outside on this beautiful day, and it was so amazing. great view of the water.. and the food again did not disappoint. Glad we have this place to go to. we watched other people bit into their food and make that Yummy face. Love this place.

My brother recommended Guiseppe's (honestly I thought it was spelled Giuseppe's like the actual Italian name, which I've argued over with people about) for some good Italian food. The fresh bread they serve before you order had already won me over. Freshly baked, crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside with the garlic olive oil; there aren't many words I can use to describe how beautiful, in all aspects, the bread is, that they serve. The crab cakes as a starter were scrumptious. I tried a bit of my cousin's tomato and basil bisque which was very very good. I had the dill salmon and capellini with artichokes which was superb, the salmon was not overcooked and tough, the capellini was al dente (the way I liked it) and the artichokes were a perfect vegetational match to the dish. The cappuccino I had was good (first time I had one so I can't really be a critical judge) and the lava cake smothered in a hot chocolate sauce was perfect to end the meal. Two complaints: they did not have tiramisu and I probably consumed three days worth of calories from the olive oil, butter sauce and lava cake, hahaha.

I don't know how anyone can give this place less than 5 stars. My husband and I work in the area and eat here frequently. We've never had a less than excellent meal. Today we both had the butternut squash lasagna. I also highly recommend the roasted pear and strawberry salad, which I get frequently.

My fiance and I came here for dinner in July. The food was wonderful - you can smell it the second you walk in the door! The fresh bread was a nice touch - even other authentic Italian restaurants in the area don't always have fresh-baked bread. We both had pasta dishes, and they were stellar. The atmosphere is nice, too - the deck overlooking the pond is beautiful, and even the indoor areas are comfortable and welcoming. Overall, everything was delicious, homemade, and served promptly. Would definitely come back again!

Stopped by for the first time last night, with my wife Toma, and her son Devon and WOW so glad we did. We will definitely be back! Thank You to our waitress ,Katrina, she was fantastic, very attentive and cordial. Food was perfect, started off with complimentary warm, fresh bread, Roasted Garlic & Olive Oil, then we had some Calamari, and Shrimp Cocktail apps, then Lobster Ravioli, a slice of Canoli Cake, and the Raspberry Tart. All of it was great. Very, Very Happy we stopped! We didn't see any thing at all that would even come close to the negative review's posted!

Quaint, quick and delicious! Another road trip...another unexpected find! From the warm welcoming greeting to the hospitable exit, we were treated like honored guests. First, we enjoyed the bread with seasoned oil. You had me there! Then we enjoyed butternut squash ravioli in a creamy sage sauce with cranberries and toasted pecans. I say we because everything was sooooo delicious, I had to share my crab melt panini and side salad!!! Crunchy, buttery bread, delicate crab, melted Brie, avocado, and basil pesto. Compliments to Sarah H for the pic! It was yummy! White table cloths, dim lighting and affordable prices made this a great lunch spot. I hope we can do dinner on the return trip! Thank you Sarah H :)

The food here has been very good 3/4 times ive been here. I always find trouble figuring out what to order because everything sounds good. One thing that was pretty awful was the Italian nachos. Avoid this soggy stale appetizer. I usually get the mozarelli caprese and chicken Tuscany and they are pretty awesome. One other suggestion for these guys would be to serve some fresh Italian bread instead of generic stale dinner rolls to start and some olive oil/garlic dipping sauce with Romano grating cheese instead of those gold butter packs.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Slow and service was not very attentive. The meals came promptly. The Caesar salad was one of best I've had in awhile. The tortellini al pesto was good. It came with a good size piece of chicken. It had red pepper strips and tomatoes. The sauce was more like soup. Way too watery. When I added grated cheese to it it was absorbed and of the right consistency. Not sure why an italian place does not offer bread. Come on now. The portions were large and he prices were very reasonable.

Amazing service. Server was so attentive and welcoming. Was really patient with my family and 2 little tots who were making a mess and running around. The food was really good. The 'tour of Italy' special hit the spot. The puff pastry shrimp and lobster special appetizer was great too. Very tasty. Great lakeside seating...they give the kids bread to feed the ducks. They are so accommodating. As for the dessert...I'm all about homemade and they make everything but the molten choco cake. My canoli wasnt good. The kids vanilla ice cream was eh. The whipped cream was freshly made and delish! Free drink refills. Decor is outdated. But it was fitting and fine for a local dining experience in the middle of Massachusetts that's really cheap and great for people of all ages. I am a restaurant's nightmare bc I'm a very harsh critic, and this place did not disappoint.

We have driven by it many times but decided to give it a shot last night. First tip should have been only four cars in the parking lot on a Sunday night at 6 P.M. The place has a very tired decor and smells musty. I would first like to say that our waiter was excellent throughout the entire meal, nice job! We ordered four different entrees me,wife and two kids(teens), everybody seemed quiet while they were eating and we each only ate half of our meal and said we were stuffed. It was my wife's birthday so nobody wanted to put a damper on the dinner, we were walking out to the car and my wife blurts out,"that was just awful". We all burst out laghing and one by one all agreed that the food was subpar. I had the veal saltimbocca which was clearly microwaved at some point, flavorless, dismal. Daughter had linguine with Bolognese which was very runny, son had chicken broccoli alfredo but the sauce was like a cheese sauce, no taste or flavor. The pasta for each of these dishes was either very overcooked or microwaved. The portion sizes are good but when the food is so poor it doesn't make much of a difference. I can't imagine that this place will be in business much longer, very strange vibe there.

We live near by and have seen this place go from your average Italian restaurant to a fantastic place to go. Their food had been great for the past 3 or 4 years. Their menu has everything you would expect and they also have great specials. The best Bolognese I've have ever had. We like the bar and the entertainment on the weekends. The Pizza is great! They will make you fried dough if you want!

I think I got over zealous with my five stars. There are still five star items (MmmmMmm... like the sandwiches on the deck in the summer) but it's really sort of a 4 star place. Don't let that keep you from going though... 4 stars is still really really good. Did pop in to check out the lunch buffet though, and, er... meh.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
