If I lived in Northampton, I'm sure I'd be at the Green Bean once a week, at least. The menu is pure brilliance- I love any place where I can get big things or small things, where I can get a few sides (sometimes I want a scone, some fruit, and some oatmeal, thank you very much!), and where I can choose between breakfast (delicious eggs!) and lunch (yum, vegan black bean chili!). It is true that the waitstaff is a bit hands-off (you will order, you will receive your food, and you may or may not ever see your server again), but who cares? When the food is this good, the space is this cheerful, and the price is this low, you won't miss your waiter that much.

Quite good, nice employees, reasonably priced. Not necessarily worth the long wait for brunch - it's not SO good to warrant the really long wait at the door (nearly an hour) - but their food was pretty good, and I appreciated the fresh (and often organic) ingredients.

I love this place!!! It was by far my favorite place we visited in Northampton when we were in town recently. It has an awesome, laid-back vibe.. you pour your own coffee by grabbing a mug from the mug tree (and the coffee was SO DELICIOUS! fair-trade berkshire blend). Lots of families with young kids and couples grabbing breakfast. Not sure if due to that crowd, or if it's like that in Northampton in general, but we were eating around 9 am on a Saturday morning and by the time we finished there was a crazy line out the door. The food was soooo good...I had a breakfast burrito with tofu inside instead of eggs and really delicious homefries. My husband enjoyed his egg/bacon thing as well.

The Green Bean is best enjoyed if you make it there before 10 AM. It's nestled in a tiny space on Main Street -- a little too cramped to be cozy. I loved coming here early in the morning on tournament days to grab a good breakfast to go, but it's definitely a once in a while treat, as the prices are a little on the steep side. Most recently, I went in for a late lunch with a friend. I was happy to find tables available, but it took almost 10 minutes to be seen by our server (who was otherwise perfectly friendly) and another 30-45 to receive our food. The food they do serve is delicious and tastes fresh, but perhaps the waitlist to get a table every day wouldn't be so long if table service was more efficient. My suggestion? If you're hankering for a tasty breakfast, give the Green Bean a try, but get your dishes to go.

Disco Pots (roasted Potatos/home fries with gravy & cheese) are absolutely delicious!! The potatoes are placed on top of the gravy, so you can control the indulgence & taste each ingredient individually. The Bi Bim Bean sauce was great with my eggs and kale, but would taste good on about anything as it has a beautiful combination of spicy and smoke flavor. They allowed me to change the listed preparation to my liking which really makes a restaurant top notch ( changed fried egg to poached and veggie medley to greens- which the waitress actually suggested as I was torn between 2 items). Cute cozy home feel - love the odds & ends coffee mugs! Staff is friendly and they use fresh local ingredients. Can't wait to explore the menu some more!

You don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy this place!! I could eat breakfast food for every meal, if you let me and I thoroughly enjoyed my veggie and egg scramble at lunchtime. They've got lots of tofu/tempeh choices for the vegans, burgers for the carnivores, scones that taste like Nilla Wafers for the sweet toothed, and a selection of egg scrambles for the breakfast lovers like me. I'm a pain in the ass and always like to swap out sides and change up the order. To accommodate picky people like myself, they also offer a number of substitution options with prices listed in the menu! Swap a scone for fruit or potatoes for mixed greens if you like! I will definitely be back!

Stopped in for a late breakfast with my husband and one year old while on a visit to the area. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint! Hubby had the "Green eggs and..." and I had the "Huevos Green Beanos," The little one ate off our plates. The food was so good! And the service was even better. The staff were super-friendly, and answered all our crazy questions about their (delicious!) tea. They were also great with our son, waving and smiling, and even let him play with a little toy dinosaur to keep him entertained, which he loved. We will definitely be stopping back in on our next visit!

Best breakfast (and lunch) in town! When my friends and I meet for lunch, we hardly need to discuss where we are going. Green Bean. Parents in town? Green Bean. Weekend breakfast? Green Bean. Bacon craving? Green Bean. Need more greens in your life? Green Bean. Everything, and I mean everything is delicious. Almond gravy, bacon, sausage, buckwheat ginger pancakes, burgers, sammies, huevos greenbeanos, the "big day," and my personal favorite, Green Eggs And... Just go! And yes! It's worth the wait.

Delicious! For starters, their coffee is so damn tasty. Drink it. Today we had the Green Eggs and... and the Lucky Devil. Everything was cooked perfectly, the breakfast meats were really high quality & tasty, and we scarfed our food down so fast! You can sub out the regular breakfast sides (potatoes & a scone) for a wide array of other sides (daily greens, potatoes with cheese & gravy) which is awesome. Try the almond gravy-it's the tastiest gravy I've had in a while! It's made almond butter & a few other ingredients, is gluten free & amazing with the potatoes. Our awesome waiter recommended it on the greens. We'll definitely try that next time! The staff is friendly, attentive and informative.

This place is run by hippies. The food here is awesome and there is something seriously cool about the way the staff carries about their day. I like their mug tree at the self serve coffee counter.

The Green Bean is an optimal stop for breakfast/brunch because not only is everyone delicious, but there are plenty of omnivore, vegan, and vegetarian options made with fresh, local ingredients to accommodate everyone you're with. If everything else was bad, I might rate the Green Bean 5 stars for it's pancakes alone- which are the best I've ever had. It doesn't list on the menu, but just ask what you can put in your pancake because they always have a variety of options (get the buttermilk pancakes with strawberry and a side of their raspberry jam- delicious). I've also had several sandwiches and sides- all of which were unique and tasty. Food-wise, I have yet to hear anyone complain about this place. For a brunch place, the fare is very diverse- from standard pancakes, eggs, tuna melts, etc, to vegan tempeh scrambles and a Korean Bi Bim bean bowl. As I said before- it is easy accommodate everyone. The only issue with the Green Bean is the fact that it is popular and not very large- be prepare to wait a little bit (they are always fairly prompt with take out orders though). We put in our names once under the promise of the wait being about 25 min and it turned into about an hour. On a nice weekend day there are always people lined up outside. Overall: A place that accommodates everyone without a troubling-ly huge menu usually means that the dishes are well-considered- and when the food is actually very good, what more could you want?

Solid brunch fare and wonderful advocate for local farmers. I haven't strayed from the egg dishes yet, so my review is based solely on those. Coffee isn't the best, but free refills; classic quality vs quantity debate.

Warm, friendly staff, and an intriguing menu, made this place a surprise highlight of a recent trip. My friend and I ditched our drab premeditations and instead dared to try the herb biscuits with almond gravy, and the miso with kale and poached egg. The biscuits were genre-bending - a light fluffy biscuit with a light and creamy savory gravy. If you're a fan of almond butter, and think traditional southern biscuits+gravy are tasty but sickening, this will change your world. The miso with kale and egg was a delightful way to start the day. The salinity was pitch-perfect, framing a depth of flavor that wonderfully balanced the hearty greens and precisely-poached ovum. Restaurants like this make strong arguments for vegetarianism, even to comfortable carnivores like us.

Walked in here randomly before a meeting and got one pancake (yes). It was a large ginger buckwheat (!!) pancake with coconut and pineapple and it was good, although the pineapple was not necessary. I think I paid $6 total... for a pancake... anyway it's more like a 3.5. I will probably update this when I try some drink.

Completely uninspired BLT. Good bread (though not what I ordered). Otherwise, a tiny slice of tomato, a good deal of overdone bacon, almost no mayo. A very dry, mostly tasteless sandwich, overpriced. Not impressed. The eggs & greens my friend ordered looked ten times better. So, either increase the quality of your sandwiches or don't offer them. Won't go back.

I totally don't get the hype with this place. It does have a nice Northampton vibe going on with the self-serve coffee and all, but the food is just mediocre. I went for the first time last week and had the eggs with kale, garlic, and cheese, and they were the blandest eggs I have ever eaten. I could taste no garlic or cheese in them at all. The potatoes were average and the "scone" in a biscuit. It is a good biscuit, but it is not a scone. I wouldn't hurry back.

I love this place for breakfast. I had a slice of sourdough, covered with two eggs, bacon and smothered in VT cheddar. The best thing on the planet. So so good. Can't wait to go back. The outside seating is dog friendly (big plus)

Was meeting up with my sister in NoHo and looking for a place where she and her vegetarian BF could eat. I wasn't super psyched about it but figured as a non-veg, I'd still be ok because I could have "regular" people food. At 10:30 on a Saturday, there was a wait list but although they were willing to seat us when our full part wasn't there, we had them take a few other parties before us. You can see they need to a do a quick turn on their tables to keep everyone happy and I wasn't about to hold them up. My scone was delicious, scrambled eggs were good, sausage was great, and my red skinned potatoes were crispy, which for some reason is hard to find in a breakfast place. However, they lost a couple stars b/c my bf's potatoes weren't even cooked all the way though. I understand you're busy but it's a rookie mistake and there is really no excuse for it. Everyone else really enjoyed their breakfasts - ginger buckwheat pancakes, fried eggs and disco potatoes and the grilled herb and onion bread with almond butter gravy. That last dish was where the they won a star back from me. My sister ordered it and was kind enough to share with me. It was one of the best things I have eaten in a long while. Grilled herb and onion bread with almond butter gravy...I'm still thinking about it.

I love love love this little place. I would eat here for breakfast EVERY day. Good for everyone... Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike. good coffee at a self serve bar. Pots of tea brought to the table. Water is served in ball jars. A wonderful, friendly, articulate staff. Some of my favorites are the breakfast burritos, the Heveos Green Beno, the Bi-bim bap egg... But honestly I've NEVER had anything here that wasn't delicious. I've not YET had the opportunity to try anything from the pastry case... But I will... Oh yes... I will... Go early, tho... They fill up fast and the wait can be long, especially on weekend. Make sure to walk up to the book and sign in as soon as you arrive. They are not open late... Breakfast/brunch/lunch only.

All of us thought this was a perfect choice for lunch. My mother said it was the best BLT she ever had - thick, great quality bacon, fresh, just picked tomatoes, and local lettuce on homemade bread. My daughter ate all of her sweet grilled cheese. They were out of brie but she was happy with the cheddar substitute and had it on challah. It looked great and she loved it. I had a very hard time deciding between the green eggs and ... and the Bi Bim Bean. After discussing the issue with our wonderful waiter, the Bi Bim Bean won out. Had I realized they made their own hot sauce I would have indulged in more of it. He also brought out their house tamari sesame dressing as another dipping option. Both were perfect, but once I start on the hot, it's hard to back away into something else. The vegetables that came with it were chopped up small so if I were the kind to mix it all together as recommended, it would have worked well. The over easy eggs were cooked perfectly and were obviously fresh and local - tasted like they were from happy chickens! We got there around 1 PM and the place was packed. We waited about 5 minutes for them to clear a table in the back and as we ate, the place started emptying out. There was no rush at all and our water was refilled often and we were taken care very well. I would definitely go back here again and would be a regular if we lived close by.

The green scrambled eggs breakfast was delicious, the coffee was hot and good, the service was fantastic, the jam / scones were tasty. Yep, I really like this place -- I'll definitely be back. The service was fast and friendly. I waited about 3 minutes to get seated -- just long enough to grab a coffee from the self service coffee bar. Another trip to the Green Bean is definitely in my future.

Used to be the best breakfast in town, but they can't handle the crowds and now that the chef has other obligations in town, food quality has suffered. Long wait to get undercooked French toast and overcooked eggs. Waitstaff remains amazing!

Best organic breakfast place in western Mass all products are from local farms. Friendly staff. can be crowed at times but it is worth the wait.

Very cute little breakfast place with some unique stuff on the menu. Great for vegans/vegetarians. I had the cowboy breakfast, which was a cornmeal pancake with eggs and veggie chili on top. It was OK but not super amazing. There was a decent wait and then the food also took quite awhile to come. I have no patience, especially in the morning, and in the end I didn't think it was really worth it.

I came here once when I was in school at UMass and remember it being a delicious little cafe. So when I came to to spend the day in Northampton today The Green Bean was where we decided to have lunch. They have a great lunch menu and also serve breakfast all day. I started with the mediterranean minestrone soup which was really flavorful. I then built my own turkey sandwich with Swiss sprouts tomatoes avocado and honeycup mustard on toasted wheat. It came with chips and this really fresh salsa..a perfect lunch! My friend Christina got the veggie burger and she described it as a "party on my pallette." My other friend got the green bean lunch that came with tofu, warm brown rice, and collard greens which she enjoyed. Besides the scrumptious food the service was great. The waitstaff were super friendly and really attentive. We told them that we were just there for the day visiting from Boston an they even gave of some recommendations as to where to visit. Overall I loved this place even more than I remembered!

I've had lunch a few times at the Green Bean and have never been disappointed. I can attest that Green Eggs and Bacon is quite tasty and that the BLT with avocado is equally good. I do sometimes wish that there were a few more options on the menu, but I love that they offer locally grown/produced food and that everything always tastes fresh. This place is packed at lunchtime on a weekday but it's not overly loud. There isn't really anywhere to wait though, so if you don't get a table right away it's probably best to find yourself another restaurant.

  • Terra N.

The staff here are always extra friendly and prompt, even if the wait is out the door for Sunday brunch. The restaurant is quite narrow and the walls are filled with interestingly priced local artwork. I support them for supporting local art. The food comes out really fast and VBLAT is my favorite sandwich in all of Northampton. This place is also very kid friendly and though I do not have my own child and find them not to be for me, their parents get super cool points for bringing them here instead of McDonalds. My only tiff is the wait area being in direct position of tables, so while one eats, ravenous, prospective customers crowd around and stare at you until you leave so they can have your table.

Very good brunch albeit a long wait. Challah French Toast yummy. Plus real maple syrup served in a generous bottle!

We ordered a veggie burger but they were out. Got the regular burger -- it had rotten lettuce and they forgot to put the cheese on it. Ordered it medium but it came partially rare. The salad was ok, but gave me the runs later. Which I never get unless I have bad food. The food was not as fresh as you would think. Organic is nice, but they really need to have health inspectors come in to be sure it is also sanitary.

This place has really great options for people who don't eat gluten or have other sorts of restrictions. My honey is GF so we go here often and I've grown to like it, the green eggs are pretty good. The pancakes weren't as flavorful as I expected. On weekends there is a solid wait for brunch 30-45 minutes, during that time the food can be a bit hit or miss because the kitchen so so nuts. Even on a bad day this place is still pretty good. You can skip the coffee here, it is pretty weak, but the food is good.

  • Jennifer S.

I have to say, ever since Green Bean opened I've always been hesitant to go. It just seemed too...crunchy. And the prospect of a vegan brunch just seemed blasphemous. Now that I've actually been, I am KICKING myself for not having gone sooner! It is fantastic!! And they do have meat and dairy, although the vegetarian options are exceptional (esp. the veggie sausage), I cannot attest to the non-dairy options, although I'd bet they're good. The place is always packed (understandably so) but the turnover is very quick. When you walk in you can simply right down your own name in their seating book (no hostess) and wait inside (or out- there are benches) until they call you. The wait staff is more on the "self-serve" side of the spectrum (note the self-serve seating book, self-serve coffee), which has led some to say they're negligent. Personally, I hate nothing more than having a waiter/waitress come over 5 jillion times to ask me how my food is in a futile effort to bump up their tip. I can say the staff at Green Bean are not of this ilk, but in my opinion, they're not inattentive either. And the food, let me say, is downright delicious. I got the Breaky-Breaky (an open faced breakfast sandwich with your choice of eggs, meat (or unmeat), cheese (or uncheese), and bread (the sourdough rules) grilled to perfection). AMAZING! I didn't know breakfast sandwiches could get this good! And it was filling, but not gut-busting, and certainly did not give me that self-loathing feel that big brunches (esp. ones including meat, cheese, and eggs) tend to give you. And the coffee and tea is quite lovely. Let me tell you, I love Sylvesters (the big brunch competitor in town) just as much as the next person, but Green Bean can definitely go toe-to-toe with the best of em.

On a weekday morning, no crowds and instant gratification. The chai latte and scones were uh-mazing! I'm not a hippy, so I can't speak about their vegan food. The normal food was real good with some fine local ingredients. I would come here every day for breakfast.

  • Aunt J.

I love this place! I always get the "huevos geen beanos", which is layers of tortilla chips, black beans, cheese, and eggs, topped with their amazing home-made salsa and a dollop of sour cream . They balance all that with a healthy serving of steamed greens on the side. You've got to try it! The waitstaff has always been friendly and helpful, and you can help your self to good coffee while you're waiting for your order. I've never had to wait for a table, but I go at the non-rush hours. Plus as you enjoy the food that is so fresh and delish, you can feel good about supporting a business that supports local farmers.

  • Zoe P.

Scarfed down the green eggs, but Jennifer's right. They don't taste quite green enough. There's something a bit bland and inoffensive about the food. Not that I've had that much of it. But their scone is, I think, the closest you'll get to a good biscuit in Northampton. Unless you make it your own self. And on a weekday morning, the place is ridiculously pleasant. But I wouldn't wait in the long weekend lines.

Friends from Eastern MA went to visit me and we went up to Northampton. Wanted to try out this place with them. I do not know why but we found it hard to find, especially while walking. The establishment was a small, intimate space and although it was packed with people on a Sunday, everyone was really quiet, busy with work it seemed. We sat down and I had their Chai. The Chai was wicked good at this place. Noticed a generally medium sized menu of pastries and sandwiches. The workers at the place were really friendly and inviting. However, the small intimacy of the space is a real turn off. With so many people working on stuff, I would really only go there with my laptop and do some work with a great cup of Chai.

My favorite local breakfast eatery. Just so unique and fresh. I agree with one reviewer that things are often overcooked here, consistently, but I wouldn't deem it unservable. Great coffee and comfortable staffers. Be prepared for a 20+ min wait on weekends after 10am though.

OK, I probably would have had a better experience at the Green Bean if it hadn't been for my mother pointing out all the bad things about our lunch there, but I have to admit she made some good points. First, the good: the food was quality. I ordered the very tasty Lucky Devil scramble - eggs, bacon, mushrooms, cheese, and green onions - and my sister and mother got sandwiches which they said were very good. The coffee was yummy and highly caffeinated too. The service, though... eek. They were friendly, yes. And it was very busy, yes (Saturday lunchtime), so I will grant them some slack there. But I just don't know why it took 45 minutes to get us our food (which, as I said above, consisted of two sandwiches and scrambled eggs). We could have driven back to my house, stopping at the grocery store on the way, and cooked the food ourselves in the same amount of time. It was bizarre. Worse, as my mother kept pointing out (over, and over, and over), at least three other parties who were seated after us and ordered after us received their food before us. Like, 20-30 minutes before us (my mother was keeping track, oh boy was she ever). I don't know, maybe their scrambled eggs cooked faster than my scrambled eggs? Maybe the chef had to slaughter the hogs and cure the pork bellies for our bacon? Once the food arrived and my mother's mouth was safely filled with club sandwich, all was well, except I didn't get the scone that was supposed to come with my meal - they had run out, and didn't explain or apologize until I asked for it, at which point our waitress offered me toast. Toast is not a scone! So that was disappointing, but I was just so relieved that my mother was no longer complaining about the lack of food that I couldn't get too upset about it. Anyway, I guess I won't completely rule out visiting the Green Bean again, but my mother will probably never shut up about this meal for months if not years, so I certainly won't be taking her.

This place is delicious and always packed! It really embodies the sense and spirit of Noho- you come in and write your name on a list... people mill around outside of on the bench inside. You get your own coffee from the sidebar and get to pick out your own mug, too. Everything is fresh, seasonal, and local when possible. Staff is honest and friendly. My favorite is always the challah french toast (I ask for extra cinnamon and they're very accommodating), you can get real maple syrup, and the bacon is nice and thick cut. I'd go a lot with my neighbor who is vegan and they have a lot of great options for non-carnivores, too! Get there early- especially if you have more than 2 in your group... or if not just plan to walk around town a little while you wait. Wait times quoted have always been pretty accurate.

Damn tasty brunch for everyone in our group, from the vegan to the bacon lovers. Reasonably priced with a nice option to *reduce* the price if one wants only 2 eggs instead of the standard 3 in a Scramble. Fresh ingredients and friendly service in a great neighborhood. What more could you want from a bfast spot?

I've come here a couple of times with friends. It's definitely great breakfast food with a lot of variety and vegetarian-options. They have daily specials with the freshest ingredients. I don't think I've ever ordered off the regular menu before because the specials are amazing! I had this cheesy, avocado & bacon omelette Absolutely delicious! I'm not a huge fan of the potatoes that come on the side of a lot of the dishes, though. A little bland on flavor in my opinion. Also--water served in glass jars=CUTE TOUCH~ The atmosphere here is also cute. It's very small though, so the wait can get pretty crazy (I think I waited ~40 minutes on a Sunday afternoon my first time here) They also don't take reservations in advance which sucks, but you can write your name on the list upon arriving and then just walk around the town for a few minutes.

I LOVE places that have lots of vegetarian/vegan breakfast options, and The Green Bean definitely delivered on that front. I had The Big Day which included three triangles of grilled tofu, some greens, a veggie sausage, and a pieced of herb bread with vegetarian gravy. The grilled tofu was a bit bland, but everything else was amazing. If I had a breakfast re-do, I think I would just get a whole order of that bread and gravy - it was really exceptional. My husband and I also shared a pot of green tea that was also good. I appreciate that they use loose leaf tea and bring the whole pot to the table. There were two big downers to our meal. One was our order getting lost and not getting our food for about an hour. That was handled well by our server however, and she investigated as soon as she saw a table that had ordered after us getting their food. She also comped a few things from our bill. The second thumbs down goes to having the table directly next to the door. The day we were there it was pretty darn cold outside, and people kept holding the door open for lengthy amounts of time. When it's customers coming in and out, I get that - I just got a crappy seat, but what got a big thumbs down was when a member of the staff came and just opened the doorway and stood in it to cool down. I totally get that it's hot in the kitchen, but it's f'ing cold sitting by the door when it's 40 degrees outside.

Any day when we make the trek over to Noho early enough, we hit the Green Bean. My fiance is an avowed meat-eater, so he was skeptical at first- one meal and he was just as hooked though! The food is always delicious, and the setting is nice enough. Scones are the best ever. I love that they are as local as possible too.

Popped in here for lunch on Saturday and wish I could bring the whole place home with me. There were so many tasty sounding items on the menu that my gf and I both had a really hard time deciding. We both ended up getting burritos (breakfast burrito and the green bean burrito) and they were delicious! Great ambiance and friendly service as well!

Have been here about 25 times for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Green Bean is generally very good, although there was a 3 month period where I had some of the driest and coldest eggs and homefries ever, but that seems to have been resolved, the last two times were great. For breakfast/brunch try Zorba the Green or the Green Eggs. The tuna melt is great for lunch, but opt for the side salad instead of the tortilla chips on the side.

  • Jennifer B.

Well, I like Green Bean but I do not think it is super tasty. Which is annoying because I love the menu and think they have a wonderful selection. But twice I have eaten here and while the food has been good I don't think its that good. Last time, I got the eggs with greens and it was okay but not much flavor and I love greens. I also do not think the bacon was cooked long enough and did not have much flavor. I really enjoy that they use local foods and maybe I just have not tried the right items on the menu yet. It is frequently busy here.

Maybe it depends on the company you're with, but the food is not memorable.

  • Lauren R.

Good food and lots of vegetarian options. The most appealing thing is really that they get all of their ingredients from local places. There's a board they set right out front that tells you which farms their produce is coming in from, which I think is pretty neat. Prices are a little high for such a small, cute place. They really specialize in breakfast goods, but they now have a lunch menu as well. I had the pancakes and I was a little disappointed that they weren't airier (they seemed a little depressed). My side of roasted red potatoes was pretty good though. Other people with my group had the eggs, biscuits, and vegetable sandwiches. No complaints, but no rave reviews either. I think if you're really set on a vegetarian meal, you might do better to go to the Haymarket a few doors down.

I LOVE THE GREEN BEAN!!! I haven't even moved here yet - moving in late March - and my husband and I have had breakfast here three times! I LOVE the gluten free corn cakes - the ginger buckwheat ones are good too - but the ginger is a little too powerful for me. I once had strawberry / white chocolate corn cakes - HEAVEN!! It can be a little crowded on the weekend - 20 minute wait or so - but the food comes pretty quick - the service is super sweet - food rocks! I may eat here every Saturday for the rest of my residence in Northampton! (slightly over-exaggerating - but not by much! )

I went for breakfast for the first time a few weeks ago, and I was not disappointed. The service was very friendly, and I was able to easily get a table. My lucky devil scramble was quite easily the tastiest breakfast I've ever had - eggs that tasted like they had been brought over from a nearby farm, crisp bacon, mushrooms cooked to perfection, cheese, and green onions. I loved the scone that came with it - it was a dense, tasty treat. I wasn't so hot on the potatoes, but I'm not a homefries fan in the first place, so I'd say they were fine. And the hot chocolate was delicious and creamy.

We came here 10 mins. before they stopped serving breakfast. I ordered the blueberry and almond pancake. My friend ordered the eggs, home made country potatoes, and bagel. My pancake was ok but nothing to brag about. My friend's potatoes tasted a little weird...rancid oil???

As a meat eater as well as an appreciator of vegetarian options, I find the Green Bean to have fabulous food. Their Huevos Green Beanos with a corn cake substituted in for the chips is my favorite. The atmosphere is pleasant and the tables are nice, as long as you're not near the waiting area (with hungry customers very close to you and your grub!). The waitstaff is good and attentive enough without being in your grill. (har har)

After just several visits, The Green Bean is now my favorite breakfast spot in town. I like Sylvester's too, but it sometimes feels too touristy or family friendly to me while the GB has the right kind of laid-back vibe I like in my breakfast joints and reminds me of places in the East Village or Brooklyn. In that respect, it might not be everyone's cup of tea (or coffee), but that's perfectly OK with me. Don't listen to the complaints about service in other reviews: it is just fine and what you'd expect from a very busy coffee shop/diner. The servers have always been on the ball and friendly. And for crying out loud, get up off your butt and get your own damn coffee. It's good, hot and fresh and unlimited, so what's the problem? You definitely have a long wait for a table here, which has sometimes caused me to turn tail and slink off disappointed to Sylvester's or Jake's instead. But I've never enjoyed either of those places nearly as much as I have the GB.

I had a quick breakfast here this morning and it was really good. The only thing i enjoy as much as a massive Sunday brunch is a good breaky at a street side cafe. This was exactly that. I had a daily special...an omelet with pink onions, sun dried tomatoes, sausage, and feta and it was great although the sausage wasn't quite as flavorful as I'd have liked. The hash browns were really good which is surprising because everyone serves them and they're normally so blah but these were actually pretty tasty.

This is a great little breakfast/lunch place. They get their ingredients as local as possible and its a very laid back place. I like how the servers take their time and don't seem to be in a rush, makes the experience more relaxing. The pancakes here are absolutely amazing, but what really blew me away was the scone with raspberry jam. I had to order a second one! I don't think I will ever have a scone that good again. This place is packed during peak hours 10 am-12 pm but if you go a little early you wont have long to wait. Wish this place was a little bigger, but that usually takes away from the quality.

First off, I love the food here! Everything I've tried, from French toast to breakfast burritos, has been delicious. I also like that much of the food is local, the servers are friendly, and the place is bright and clean. Now for the not-so-great. The Green Bean is small, and when it's busy (which is most of the time, especially on weekends) there is always an astronomically long wait for a table (think an hour, plus). Things just move in super-slow motion-- the menus, the drinks, the food, the check, clearing the table... It's a good thing I like the philosophy, the food, and the rest of the place as much, or I would never come back. The moral of the story: definitely come here (yum!), but make sure you have a lot of time on your hands.

The food here is amazing. Tons of great vegetarian/vegan options, all with an emphasis on local and organic ingredients. A great place for brunch, but come well before you get hungry, because you'll be waiting for some time. I really want to like the Green Bean even more, but I can't give a restaurant five stars when the servers tend to be somewhat cold and indifferent toward their customers. In my experience here, the service leaves something to be desired, but if you speak up for what you want, you'll get it, and it will be delicious.

The Green Bean is a breakfast joint caters to vegan and more common tastes. I am grateful for their attempt but I think the quality is mediocre. I have had burnt toast and overcooked eggs. The waiters are capable but the attention is fleeting. I was overcharged once. Hopefully, they will get their act together. Northampton needs another good breakfast joint.

Can't get enough of the GB. The unlimited-coffee situation and the Fire Drill egg thing are the reason I don't trek it up to Elmer's as much as I used to. Great pancakes, great eggs. Great huevos rancheros and great bi bim bap. Great wait staff. I bring every out-of-towner here and they love it.

My wife and I have been regulars here every weekend since moving to the area. Excellent breakfast spot. Be prepared to wait for a table but it is worth it. This place offers plenty of vegan/vegetarian options but still has the real sausage and bacon to satisfy my carnivore cravings. The corn cakes are awesome. I'm also a huge fan of the Little Devil (jalapeno, cream cheese and scrambled eggs). It's also nice to see a place that serves up a healthy portion of greens with breakfast! I also love the fact that coffee is out in the open for the taking (it isn't free - just easily accessible) while you wait in line for example.I still haven't tried out the lunch offerings but will at some point in time for now I'm still going through all the breakfast choices.

There's something about The Green Bean that makes me want to go all the time - just being there is an enjoyable experience. I regularly go for breakfast but they also have some lunch options on the menu. The food is great all the time but sometimes my home fries seem to be a bit overdone. Like they've been sitting on the back of the grill all morning drying out. I'm willing to oversee this minimal grievance because the rest of my meal is always really, really awesome. I usually go for one of the egg scramble collabos - always made with top quality ingredients. I'm a huge fan of the scones because, with a spot of jam, they are the perfect sweet ending to any breakfast. Coffee is self-serve via the Coffee Tree (makes sense when you visit) and the iced lattes are some of my favorite around.

the green bean was our weekend go-to and holds a special, tangled place in my heart - the one that wonders how much longer it'll be appropriate to roll out of bed and laugh about last night over brunch. i miss their random mug tree, their abundance of kale, and even getting all steamy in my winter jacket while waiting by the door. good food, good times.

Excellent breakfast, brunch or lunch spot, very conveniently located in downtown Northampton. Great coffee with free refills, and the best part is the food. The menu is full of really creative takes on breakfast staples like pancakes, burritos, sandwiches, salads. This is the perfect place to come if you are vegan or have dietary restrictions. You won't feel deprived at the Green Bean. The staff is friendly and the vibe is very laid back. I have two compaints: there is only one (uni-sex) bathroom ; and they should accept reservations, at least on weekend mornings, when the wait for a table can be 45 min. But these things won't stop me from returning to the Green Bean.

Really enjoyed this place. Took my daughter and niece there on camp visiting day and everyone loved it. Iced coffee was OK - nothing great - but the food was very good and very fresh, and the vibe about as blue as a blue state could be, without being too kitchy, kind of like Northampton itself.

this place was great. went for brunch and it satisfied meat-eaters, vegans, and glutards alike. i had the "this and that" which was two eggs and two pancakes or french toast. i had the vegan gluten-free pancakes (so my vegan bf could share some b/c i'm the sweetest best gf ever, even though i kinda really wanted the buttermilk ones), they were cornmeal based, and i have to admit, quite delish. i also shared a side of sausage (with another meat-eater) and a side of the daily greens, which were a bit bland but i love veggies for the sake of veggies, so no complaints there. the fruit bowl also tasted very fresh, and overall it was the perfect combination of foods for breakfast (eggs, pancakes, meat, veggies, and fruit, oh my!) really lovely surroundings for brunch with friends, but yes, it was a wait.

Generally, very good breakfast. I've had numerous menu items over the past few years and most are excellent. The only issue is that one of the cooks clearly overcooks the scrambles, so that can be a bit disappointing. Otherwise A+

I eat here at least two days a week, sometimes three. I really enjoy their locally grown, organic food. Everything always tastes fresh. I highly recommend their Tofu Scramble plate, even if you're not a big fan of tofu. They gently saute chunks of tofu in olive oil, and season it with herbs. It tastes very flavorful, and melts in your mouth. This dish comes with their superb roasted red potatoes, and a small scone. They also have a nice lunch menu, centered mainly around sandwiches, salads, and homemade soups. Their Tuna Melt sandwich is splendid. It features lightly toasted bread, a generous portion of tangy tuna salad, and sharp, gooey melted cheddar cheese. I also like their Turkey sandwich, which you can custom-build as you wish. The only drawbacks to the Green Bean, are that you sometimes have to wait a lengthy amount of time to get a table, especially on Sundays. Also, you can't come here for dinner, since they close at 3PM daily.

Walked in one Sunday afternoon after being a veteran here. Friends liked the place immediately, the server was very attentive but failed to introduce himself. Good drinks and great food for a magnificent price, though I didn't realize it was self served coffee and made a fool of myself when I failed to get up and get it. Wish the server would of brought it to me. However, highly recommend. :)

This would be a 5 star review as I've loved getting brunch here before, but the 20 minute wait for someone to take our order, and the 45 minute wait for our food made me drop a star. It was on a Tuesday, in summer, place was not packed at all, and yet the servers were chatting at the counter and it took sooo long us to get served. Otherwise, the food is pretty great. Almost Famous, Green Eggs, Itty Bitty. That little damn scone with the jam. Mmmmmm. I'll definitely still come, but I won't expect to be in and out of there in a reasonable timeframe.

The Green Bean will be sorely missed when I leave college. I must have come here around 20 times in the last 4 years. Everything about this place is on point: the staff are always fast, friendly, and accommodating and the food is always consistent and top notch. Let's start with the food. The buttermilk chocolate chip pancakes are a must for all chocolate fanatics (I always get at least 1 when I come). The bagel sandwich is super great (vegetarian) and even though my boyfriend and I are definitely meat eaters, we always get the sandwiches because they're so tasty and full of flavor! And who could forget the lucky devil scramble! The mixture is always made just right, not too dry and not too watery, and all the flavors just blend in your mouth like a food bomb. The staff are always super cool about letting me just get apple slices with a side of peanut butter for my sides even though its not on the menu. Now with the staff. Like I mentioned, the staff is always on their A game. I'm not sure if each of them has a particular area that they service but all of them are always friendly and available to take your order and fill your waters. They're also really great about making substitutions and on top of that, they're really great about listening to the customers. One time the bagel was stale and when I told my waiter, he immediately apologized and comped the sandwich. While I was just merely mentioning it to him, I was surprised when he gave it to us for free and it just goes to show that they're willing to go above and beyond for the customers. Point being, if you're ever in Northampton, swing by this place and you won't be disappointed. It is my favorite spot by far and it's always jam packed on the weekends from opening to end. So my advice? Try to swing by on a weekday when it's a little less crowded and enjoy some bomb food!

North Hampton has a wealth of delicious cafes and restaurants, especially for lunch, and so many cater to special diets in a tasty, affordable, and friendly way. My sister's family has a number of food allergies, and each time we've gone to The Green Bean they've been incredibly helpful in ensuring everything is safe for them. The food is always fresh, and portions are filling. Breakfast items are fantastic and you should really try them all - I am an egg fiend, but even their vegan options are delicious and flavorful. It can quickly get crowded in here, so timing can be everything. But even with a packed house, staff are friendly and attentive, food comes out quickly, and you don't feel rushed. A family friendly place too, we've only ever come here with my niece and she's the center of attention with the servers (and us, of course).

How have I never reviewed this place? So, so, soo good! There's usually a little bit of a wait, so the hubs and I normally grab an iced coffee to enjoy until it's our time to sit. I've had the breakfast burrito and the gluten free blueberry pancakes- they tasted like little corn bread cakes, so unique and tasty. Highly recommended if you're in the Northampton area! :)

Just tried this place for the first time and I wasn't as satisfied as I was hoping. It might be because I didn't get what I would usually get at a restaurant. I got "The Big Day" which is grilled tofu, herb and onion bread with almond butter gravy, a side of greens and veggie sausage. Even before I was a vegan I wasn't big on gravy things so maybe that's why I didn't love that. I have no idea what the greens were but they were super bland I couldn't eat it. The tofu was good, nothing special. The sausage was my favorite part I would get that again. We ordered coffee and I was done with my meal before they brought the coffee out. When the waitress (a different one than the one who took our order) brought the coffee out I verified if it was the soy latte I ordered and she said oh no I didn't know you wanted soy, so she had to go back and make it. I'm not an asshole about stuff like that so not that big of a deal but it would've been nice to get the coffee before the breakfast... the latte was delicious I really enjoyed it, it was very creamy and "heavy" which I love. I was disappointed because I had high expectations for this place but I will definitely go back and try other items from their menu.

They really shouldn't list their options as gluten-free, rather low gluten since non of the gluten free options that drew me to this location can be prepared gluten free. They only have one grill and there is cross-contamination. Since we had already waited a long time for the table, I talked to my server about my allergies and what I could eat. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and the waiter asked if my allergy was "severe". I said yes. So he told me they could prepare the scrambled eggs I wanted in a separate pan. Got my scramble and it had cheese in it. This made me really upset because, while human errors happen, my health is in the cooks hands and what happens when they make mistakes I can't see. I tried to explain this to the waiter, who hadn't really apologized and was more trying to make it into a joke with me, that it makes me feel unsafe and that maybe the restaurant should review allergy protocols to make sure that human error is less likely to happen. He told me there was nothing else they could do as a small place and that if someone has a severe allergy they shouldn't eat here, that he would tell them to leave.... even though I had told him that and he assured me they could handle it. Moral of story: IF YOU ARE ACTUALLY ALLERGIC TO ANYTHING, DON'T EAT HERE

I would do horrible horrible things for their challah French toast and roasted potatoes.... Like really horrible things. Drives me crazy always having to wait FOREVER for a seat but I willingly wait to get a piece of heaven

A great spot for breakfast and lunch. I'm a big fan of their lunch sandwiches, including the savory grilled cheese, the sweet grilled cheese, the tuna melt, and the turkey club. When you walk in, you write your name on the list and usually the wait is no longer than 15-20 minutes. Coffee is "get your own." You can pick your own mug and then pour your own coffee. Plenty of vegetarian options. I wish their drink were not seasonal (no iced tea in the winter), but other than that it's a great lunch spot, probably my favorite in Northampton.

If every cafe became a dog tomorrow, The Green Bean would be a scrappy mutt puppy with a permanently bent ear that's up for adoption at the local rescue and probably gets a home with family that has sixteen collective tattoos and two kids named Ryder and Chloe. Pop in, drop your party on the self-serve ListBot 5000 (paper in clipboard), and null the wait by peeping the menu - breakfast is served all day, and the eclectic selection may leave you waffling until a certified chipster (that's "chipper hipster," copyright pending) takes your order. Classics are either well represented, or straight up missing (Y U NO HASH, BEAN?), and the vegetarian/vegan/GF-friendly selection globetrots from breakfast miso and Bi Bim Bean (brown rice, fried eggs, steamed veggies and a spicy red Korean sauce), to the Pulaski Plate (eggs, greens, sausage and kraut), to the Huevos Green Beanos (which I will not describe because if you eat breakfast foodstuffs and are unclear about the construct of Huevos Rancheros, then you should probably turn in your First Meal membership card). Hung over and starving, I went Cowboy Breakfast - a big, dense corn cake topped with a honkin' scoop of veggie chili, a couple of eggs and a dollop of sour cream. Filling, gritty and perfect for the morning after, it quelled the beast for $12. Others in the group went bagel heavy (a bit too toasted), miso (laurels from Laurel), thick cut bacon (standing O), and a fresh fruit bowl (I spy kiwi). Clean plate club all around. All this, and a dope collection of photos on the wall. Can't wait to return.

This is exactly what I imagine a typical Northampton breakfast joint would look like... a down-to-earth, young, tattooed & pierced wait staff and healthy food... It was packed during the Saturday brunch hour but was definitely worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed the green eggs with roasted root vegetables (in lieu of scones and potatoes) and corn cake with spicy tomato sauce with a side of steamed kale. The challah french toast was the best I've ever had -- really really loved the crunchy bottom and I was not able to stop eating it. It was the best meal during our short weekend in the Northampton area.

Wow. That's all I can say. Amazing food. Came here for breakfast (although I'm sure this would be a fine lunch or brunch place) so I got a coconut filled pancake that may have been the best pancake I've ever eaten at a restaurant, and that's saying something. I also ordered a Chai Latte which was really good. We didn't have to wait to find a seat, but the place was pretty crowded, so that's something to take into account. The waitress and waiter we had were really really nice, and helpful, and when their latte machine broke down and their ran out of soy milk they were super apologetic, and sorry, and made it so that I didn't worry or get annoyed. The pricing is pretty average, pretty reasonable, and free WiFi! The space is really nice and very valley-ish. It's warm and full. Totally recommended!

Last Saturday I went with a friend for lunch at the Green Bean. We were both aware of the popularity of the restaurant but did not anticipate that it would take us fifty minutes to get a table. It turns out that the hostess skipped our name but even if that mishap had been avoided the wait would have at least been twenty minutes. We were seated at the first table by the front door resulting in us wearing our coats throughout the meal. I ordered scrambled eggs and a fruit salad. My friend got green tea and french toast with blueberries. The food was good and once we got a table the waiter was polite and attentive. The only issue was that our drinking glasses were very dirty, most likely due to the high turnover in the restaurant. Overall it was a nice meal and I intend to go again. Hopefully I won't have to wait fifty minutes for a table.

So delicious! My mouth is in heaven! Fantastic brunch- and short wait for Sunday at noon. Super quick service, bottomless self-serve coffee, and unique menu with tons of choices. I got green eggs and bacon- generous serving that was perfectly cooked, and my brunch date had "the fire drill" a to-die-for scramble of jalapeños, eggs, and cream cheese. We'll definitely be coming back- and breakfast is served all day! Several gluten-free options as well. Do yourself a solid and come eat here!

Now I get something new AND the veggie sandwich on GF bread (not toasted) to go. I had the World Famous last time I was there and it was amazing. The sausage, cheese, peppers and eggs all were just phenomenal. I also went for a tea instead of coffee and it was divine. They offered me more hot water- which is always really nice for tea drinkers. The staff is always friendly but as a single diner I don't always get the most dedicated service. But no mind. I still love this place, strong wifi signal, and awesome healthy food.

Four stars for being cute and vegetarian-friendly (I appreciate this even though I'm a meat-eater). But brunch was just OK. I got the "Green Eggs and..." which is basically your choice of breakfast meat with green eggs. The green in the eggs are blended veggies and garlic. I was disappointed that the eggs were cold, and even though I ordered it, I didn't realize how unappetizing it looked until it arrived. My bad. Server was really friendly, but we felt forgotten a few times, and it wasn't even really that busy. Plus, it felt weird that the creamer and sugar was all at the counter, and not brought to our table.

Top notch. Most everything about this place is good - the service, the food, the attitude toward food, the space, the details. Very nice. Only gripes - can be hard to sit down since it's so popular (expand please!) and in the summer, the heat spots can be brutal.

I've gone to The Green Bean a handful of times, never alone, always in the best company. I don't think it's the cheapest place to go to for breakfast or brunch but it's always been worth it. Albeit I ordered a not-so-good buckwheat pancake one time instead of the regular buttermilk... No amount of maple syrup made it sweet enough to enjoy. Last time, I ordered the "world famous" scrambled eggs. They came with vegan sausage, veggies and Vermont cheddar, with roasted red potatoes and a scone on the side. I wasn't expecting much from the side of potatoes and scone but everything was delicious and better than I could have imagined. The scone was small and fresh and sweet and I loved it with the almond gravy. Definitely get the almond gravy! If you find your way to Northampton, the Green Bean is a lovely little place to have a breakfast full of local ingredients. If it's on the weekend - no, it will definitely not be quiet and, yes, there probably will be a 20-40 minute wait. Rise early, go early, enjoy.

This place has been on point every single time I've been here for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Easily my favorite breakfast/brunch spot. Get the disco pots. Get the herb and onion bread with almond gravy. Get the corn pancake which is pretty much a giant corn muffin pancake. Poor some syrup on that bad boy and go to town! Can't praise this place enough.

Favorite breakfast spot in the valley. Fire Drill is amazing: roasted jalapeños, scrambled eggs and cream cheese. Sriracha on every table. Awesome. Great bacon and they give you a home made scone and jam instead of toast. Farm to table with a list of local ingredients and their origins displayed on a sign on the sidewalk. You'll almost certainly wait for a table but the food is worth it, service is friendly and the vibe is great. Don't be a hater...just enjoy this local, independent gem. There's nothing better of its kind in town!

I don't know how I recently started going here since I've lived in Western MA for almost 5 years. Anyway plenty of options for all lifestyles like vegan, vegetarian or your dad who needs to have bacon. I always want to try something new but end up getting the vegan VBLT on sourdough. So good!! Coffee is also good and sometimes they have almond milk as an option, which is my preference over soy. Just wish they were open past 3pm when I'm in Noho for the evening.

This is by far my favourite place for brunch in Northampton, it's delicious! However, the service can be excruciatingly slow - especially on the weekends. Don't expect to only spend an hour there on a Saturday or Sunday.

  • Brittany D.

Visiting Northampton for the day and given this suggestion by a friend. We had a really good experience - LOVE the local sourcing, well-prepared food, great coffee, nice atmosphere. The bread for the BLT was way over-toasted, but that was our only food complaint. They weren't very busy and there was no wait, which was nice. They were also great with our toddler and the place felt pretty kid-friendly. (Although it would have been tough to have a little one wandering around had it been busier.) We do wish the service had been better. Very friendly server, but not attentive and quite slow. After being sat, we waited more than 10 minutes without even being greeted by our server. We ended up having to ask for her when we were ready to order.

We first went here because we heard it was the best brunch in Northampton and yes, it is for sure. This place is super cute, the menu is creative & delicious. The portions are very decent. They are only opened until 3pm so get there early. Not only the best for brunch but also for lunch as well. There is usually a line to get a table as there is limited seating but the line moves pretty quickly.

I didn't like their selection of breakfast items, ordered a breakfast burrito andi it was soaked in grease. Service is so slow and their line is out the door and chaotic. Get cozy with the people you're sitting next to cause it's small.

I came here on a trip to Northampton with this place highly recommended. I really appreciated that they had vegan options but I was underwhelmed. I got the VLBT (vegan BLT), which was pretty good. The side of potatoes and the blueberry muffin (the only pastry/baked good they had) were just fine, maybe a little lackluster. The staff is friendly, but it was really crowded when I was there and it's a little chaotic.

  • M S.

I have no idea why people love this place so much. Maybe because they offer many Vegan and Vegetarian options which can be a challenge to find in a brunch place even in Northampton. Or that it's pretty "healthy" and local. Or maybe people are just generally swayed by a group of hipsters hanging out on the street and want to follow along? But what it comes down to, is it's really not good. Save your money. Especially if you weigh in the long wait on weekends. It really makes me question people's food expectations in the valley. The corn cakes are the driest things I've ever tasted. I ordered over-easy eggs another time over the "breky-breky" which were over-hard. If you are a breakfast place you need to know how to cook an egg properly, come on! Again, so dry and had no flavor at all. If your friends convince you it's worth the wait and you're a Vegetarian then "The VBLaT" is your best option. And I will say it's cute inside and generally has good art on the walls. But really, you're better off going down the street to State St or Serios, buy some local eggs, bread and veggies and cook your own breakfast. Most likely it'll be more flavorful and fresher. Plus you can buy a bottle of prosecco and oj to make some mimosa's!

Good food. Not very good value any longer. They raised their prices to the point of making me think twice about coming. $10 for a plate of eggs. $2.50 for coffee. $13.32 including tax. Then tip. $16 way too high for a simple (albeit well prepared) breakfast. The same value breakfast is less expensive by a few bucks at Jakes and about half that price at Look Restaurant.

If you get up a little late, you're going to find a bit of a wait and a sea of hipsters. For early birds, you're rewarded with a pretty chill space until the masses wander in looking like a rockabilly Macklemore meets The Walking Dead and does lunch with your odd old hippie aunt, Terry. That said, this is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Northampton. Great menu, with lots of variety so I can find something no matter what mood I'm in. I've never had a bad meal here and their mocha latte might be my favorite on the planet. Love the scones too. Even the staff is fabulous - always friendly no matter how busy they are or no matter how complicated the order. Love this place.

Love the Green Bean! The food is delicious, fresh, and always satisfying. Especially fond of the Fire Drill and the french toast. Mmmm.

I love this place. I never got around to eating here when I actually lived in NoHo, but, luckily, some friends moved here shortly after I left, so visits back gave me the opportunity to finally dine here. Here's the first thing you need to know about The Green Bean: BOTTOMLESS COFFEE. That alone was a draw for me. Little did I know, I was in for some major adorableness because you actually get to choose your own mug from this cup-hanging fixture and serve yourself as much coffee as you want throughout your meal. More places need to start doing this, just saying. Now I realize that not everybody is a coffee drinker, but everybody eats and, let me tell you, there is something on the menu here for everyone. Seriously: whether you eat like Ron Swanson or Tara Stiles, you'll be happy with your options. I'm a savory breakfast kinda gal, but I've heard their vegan corn cakes are to die for. On top of a great location, decor, and food, I have to say that our server was sufficiently hilarious and gave us just the right amount of attention. I could not have asked for a better experience; it was worth the wait!

Yum, yum, yum. Loved the vibe and vegan breakfast choices I encountered here.

Menu looks better than the actual food. I think popular due to location and lack of significantly better options in the area.

I hadn't been here in a while but I returned a couple of weeks ago. The menu has changed and I think the prices went up. My friend and i both had essentially the same dish and he had coffee. The bill was almost $30. Kinda pricey.
