pineapple, pear, kale, lemon juice was incredible. i cannot remember which one it was, but one of the juices with ginger is great for when you are under the weather!

Mandarava is one of my favorite things about living in Newburyport. I feel so lucky to have organic food this delicious a couple blocks from my house. The food has an umami quality, which is hard to achieve in vegan cooking but Mandarava nails it! The juices are insanely delicious, too. I meet a lot of interesting people in the cafe, too, including the owners.

Pineapple pear ginger is my fave but my boyfriend orders a different one I like as well. Yes it may be pricey but is well worth it! Obviously they don't have a public restroom that means you would have to walk through the kitchen to get there and that is an insurance liability! I like everything about this place.

Love love love this place! As a whole foods vegan that primarily eats organic it's hard to find a place like this that can meet my needs. Mandarava sure does the trick, I always get a fresh juice and their bowl of the day which is usually a combo of a grain, plant protein, and greens. Their soups are also to die for, my favorite is the creamy tomato.

I. Love. This. PLACE!!! One of my coworkers turned me on to it and man am I glad. Here's why it's awesome: you don't have to make any decisions. They offer only ONE option (the daily bowl) and if you don't want it, you don't get it. It's usually a vegetable, a grain, and one other thing (vegan, of course). Usually it will be something like kale salad, brown rice, and tofu. The food is very, very simple which I love. Everything tastes like what it's supposed to taste like, which is rare to come by today. The ingredients are always extremely fresh, a half bowl (which is more than enough for me) is only $6, and it's ready faster than you can say "peace love and happiness." This is totally a hippie joint (the walls are covered with pictures of Ghandi and Bob Marley) but in the middle of the work day, when you just want to relax and don't want to spend half of your hour thinking about what to get, Mandarava completely hits the spot.

Nice to see another organic restaurant in town. Daily bowls are good but skip the juices - they are some of the priciest I've seen, especially as they're made with an off-the-shelf centrifugal juicer instead of a cold-press machine (like they have at the other organic place in the Tannery). Not a cozy place to dine-in so recommend doing take-away.

Probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. Called ahead to asked what there meal of the day was. Told us it was gluten free everything. So we took the 40 min drive to get there in the snow. Had to find parking about 2 blocks away. I has to use the restroom. They all looked at me soaking wet like they were going to say yes and said in the "one with nature voice".....no public restrooms, you can walk to richdale and use there bathroom, it's only a block away! I looked at them, dripping wet, like for real?! Then they said maybe the restaurant next door will let you use theirs. So we walk another block....my feet got wet, my husband almost fell and got soaking wet. The owners of richdale were not thrilled with us using the restroom. We got back to dirty glasses, soup that was mostly broth and found out they made a mistake on the phone.....the bread did have gluten. Very oil food. Nothing epic for vegan food. A meat and potatoes guy could easily cook the small portion at home for a fraction of the price. Regret going. Will tell all my vegan friends going to Newburyport this summer to try one of the other vegan options in the area. Left feeling wet, overcharged, hungry and annoyed!

The Pineapple, pear and ginger juice is highly recommend!!! It's SO good I ordered it twice in one day! I've been making it at home ever since! And it's heavenly! I found the woman working to be very kind and nurturing she seemed truly concerned about my health and my skin. I was only there for one day next time I go back to Newburyport I know where I'm getting lunch!,
