Food was above decent for a sports bar. (I had the philly Cheesesteak & Fries). The IPAs on draft/bottle were impressive. The amount of things to do is great: Pool, Several flat screen TVs, and a live band to listen to on a thursday night. Wait Staff was terrible. Took forever to get service and they just were not proactive in getting ahead of what the table needed. Very disappointing.

The food here is quite good, but the service is beyond terrible. When I walked in from the hotel that adjoins the restaurant, a sign directed me to the host stand that was at the other side of the restaurant. No problem. I walk over there only to find no one there. I wander around looking for someone and finally ask a server where I should go. They pointed to the girl standing against the railing by the bar watching the soccer game and completely ignoring people looking to be seated. Now on to the food. Three times and from three different people I asked for butter for my mashed potatoes. Pretty simply request. By the time the butter finally came, everything was cold. I'm actually still sitting at the table as I write this and am beyond annoyed. I never leave reviews for places, but this time, I felt that I had to warn others that this place is seriously mismanaged and they simply don't care about service.

In Framingham/Natick on Sunday pre-Boston Marathon. Given that my beloved Boston Celtics were slated to take on LeBron James and the Cavs in the first game of the NBA playoffs, a sports bar with passable food was in order. Found Skybokx 109 via Yelp (of course) and really enjoyed the experience. First, it's a sports bar, so it's not 5-star dining if that's your preference. However, for bar food, it was much better than expected. In fact, the Butternut Squash Bisque was outstanding, with a nice maple finish adding a pleasant sweetness that didn't overpower the dish. My wife and I both had burgers. I went with the Western and mine was the Bacon Blue (w/ blue cheese). Both were cooked medium, as we ordered, and the buns were fresh and the burgers hearty. Some local brews on tap, including several from local craft brewery, Jack's Abby, in Framingham, which was a bonus. Not terribly busy, but the locals were friendly, the staff accommodating, and the Celtics' game was on the big screen (sadly, they lost).

Nice sports bar with great food and live music some evenings. Good beer and whiskey choices. Try the meatloaf!

Cold beer! Friendly service. Great place to watch a game. However, not very clean. Didn't order food, too dirty.

Skybokx is very close to my office, so I've met friends there after work a few times. It's surprisingly busy right at 5pm (not super busy, but not empty). It's at the base of a hotel, so that might have something to do with it. The food is very good, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is actually really great, especially for a hotel-based bar. Good choice of beers and greasy apps. Excellent burgers. There are lots of TVs so you can enjoy the sports. The service is really friendly and helpful but certainly could be faster. It's the kind of bar that could benefit from a Happy Hour, if Massachusetts wasn't the way it is. Not a date place, but definitely great for meeting up with friends after work.

Great food fast service, we will be back! Great staff, attentive and cheerful. Ordered the shepherds pie, and my daughter ordered the Caesar salad. All was delicious. I highly recommend the specialty drinks!

Great bar service and good beer selection. Wine list is weak, but in truth probably pairs with the sub-par food quite well. Bottom line, come here for drinks and atmosphere but don't expect your taste buds to thank you. If forced to eat, stick to pizza and salad- leave the wings to someone else.

Had lunch. Only real gripe was the small menu. Otherwise, the place had a cool vibe, lots of TV's, was clean, awesome nachos, burgers, fries, onion rings...and the burger bun was outstanding. Lastly our server was very attentive.

On Sunday's they have a special brunch menu. I am firmly convinced that this is some kind of horrible not funny joke. We entered at 1130. We were the only people there. I know. Big red flag. After ordering it took 30 mins to get food. Hash and eggs and an order of steak and eggs. At this point we are still the only people sitting. Waitress drops the food and bolts. It was fifteen more minutes until we got some katsup for our home fries. I did not try my wife's grey steak so let me describe the crappy hash. Montreal steak seasoning. Loads of it. It was inedible. We paid and walked out never to return. Heed our warning. This place is the pits.

Food was great and priced well. Service was extremely slow. The managers were responsive and apologetic...we will be back to try again :)

Haven't been here for a long time, before it used to be a micro brewery. Clean and modern but a sports bar nonetheless. The big feature is it's connected to Hampton Inn. Full menu with the usual stuff. Lots of beers to choose from. Downsides: VERY noisy, dark, and slow service. Plan ahead. Had Greek Salad and very nice. Pitted olives...what wise person purchased these?

Big place...plenty of TVs at multiple angles allow for easy viewing no matter where you are sitting. Fireplace lounge is different and cool. Can't speak to the food as I didn't eat here, but I will have to concur with others on the service. Had a couple of beverages around 8pm this week at the bar. There were probably 8 or 10 others seated around and I swear the barmaid didn't make a round for at least a solid 10 minutes. WTH? She was so locked into cleaning things that she didn't notice 6 of us (I counted) were either waiting for a refill or a check. It wasn't like they were short staffed either...she just wasn't paying much attention to anyone. Nice place but a bit rough around the edges.

Service ok, not stellar. Rib eye was over cooked, asked for medium-rare and got "well done". Server was kind enough to exchange it. Kids' menu ok. Very generous portions. Bar very busy.

We came here recently to watch the Patriots game. Everything seems to be priced relatively the same. In terms of value, pizza seems to be the best value. for the wings, it was 9 dollars for 8 regular wings or 4 boneless wings. For the calamari, it was lot of batter, not much calimari so that wasn't worth it. Our waitress came by often though so the service was good.

Great place! Stayed at the Hampton and went here for dinner and it was well worth it! The beer prices are a bit steep but the servers and food were wonderful! Also a great place to watch sports as they have many TVs lined along the walls and bar area. I would recommend this to anyone staying at the Hampton or in the surrounding area!

Food is decent (much improved in the last year) service is great. Great beer choices and creative mixed drinks. The game is always on too.

Came in because our regular place for dinner was too packed to wait. Ordered a bbq chicken pizza and fries. Asked for ketchup and got a little cup each, friea are shoestring, which is disappointing for a bar. Bars should have great fries. Red onions really threw off my pizza experience. May come back, but probably not until baseball season.

The service is great here! The food is your typical pub food and the place can be noisy during Happy Hour, but the servers take really good care of their patrons. Our server was Kyle and he was awesome. The week before we had a really sweet, friendly, smiling female server who was equally as awesome.

I have been to Skybokx regularly throughout this Pats season and won't be waiting for football to start again to go back!!! The design of the restaurant is comfortable and the double-sided bar, as well as the wrap-around HD tvs, are perfect for watching a game. Food has been consistent and delicious. Go in and order yourself an Au Poivre burger and thank me later!!

We ended up here again this week to catch the Bruins, usually we just stick to wings, but tonight we tried the artichoke dip (a recommendation from the waitress), it was so good, impressed as usual. Servings are big, perfect for sharing! As usual, our drinks were never empty, service was good and the atmosphere was awesome for watching the game. We even stuck around after for margaritas. We love the food and the drinks and the bar - SkyBokx is definitely one of our favorites in the area!

I have been sitting in a booth waiting for a server to acknowledge I am here for over 10 minutes. I am about to get up and leave. I checked in with the hostess and she seated me and now I wait. Now I leave to go someplace that wants my business.

Went here to watch the Bruins game last night, place was hopping, and I had a really good time! I went there early, to get some food with a couple of my friends, our waitress was very attentive and friendly, and the food was pretty good. The drinks were cheap, and there wasn't a long wait in between getting drinks, which is always good. I'm going back here tomorrow for game seven, and after the Bruins win tomorrow, I'll probs go back here for the rest of the playoffs! Def check it out!

  • Jordana P.

Good food with big portions! The spinach and artichoke dip with the pita chips was our favorite! The steak and cheese spring rolls with spicy ketchup and pork sandwich were also very tasty! This was our 2nd time, the first time we came they had just opened and the service wasn't good but this time we sat at the bar and service was excellent! She was very attentive and checked on us just the right amount of times!

Place is pretty nice, lots of room and myltiple tvs to watch the game. However their service sucks. It is extremely slow. If i go here for lunch during work week, there is no way I can make it back in 1 hr, and I work about a mile from it. The food is also not that great, some of the stuff I ordered was just plain greasy.

Great atmosphere this place is a pretty awesome sports bar. I was there this past Memorial Day Weekend to meet up with some friends that live nearby and wanted to do something low key. The staff was pretty great and attentive, they recommended pretty great appetizers like the buffalo nachos and the drink prices were pretty reasonable.

If you are stranded on this hotel island in the suburbs, Skybokx is the only place to get in and out of within a reasonable time (assuming you don't want to spend 1/3 of your night waiting for transportation to and from dinner). As is typical in restaurants like these, all the dishes are huge and notably unhealthy. Artichoke dip, bacon burgers, salads with iceberg or romaine lettuce, cheese, and about 500 calories of cream-infused dressing. Here is how I managed... Day 1. Asked for broccoli, steamed, no oil. They can make it, great! It comes out with butter. Day 2. Nicoise salad with dressing on the side. It's HUGE, and somewhat unimaginative in construction, but at least the dressing's on the side. We're not in California, friend. Count your blessings there are vegetables. Day 3. Nicoise salad with dressing on the side and a side of broccoli, steamed, no oil. BIG ASK! Perhaps too big. The broccoli comes out with butter; the dressing is mixed in. I asked for a new dish of broccoli, but as this part alone took what seemed to be another 15 minutes, I just didn't have the patience for the salad. I just picked out the green beans, fish, and tomatoes that weren't drenched in sugar and oil. As the salad was in what seemed to be a serving-size bowl, this was still more than enough to feed me. ::sigh.::

Don't order chicken wings. Kind of over burnt. I asked for Stella draft: "sorry, out" hopefully my salad is going to be good. The service is OK, you need to remind your waiter that you are waiting for your beer. Not busy tonight at all. No next time, sorry...

Great sports bar, good eats, good drinks reasonably priced we will be back! Spacious hotel restaurant-bar with numerous TV's for sports viewing. There appeared to be so many TV's I do not think there is a bad seat (table) that would cause you to miss any play action. Wine, beer & drink selection were a plenty. Over all the menu was appealing with a long list of appetizers, salad selections, burgers, sandwiches & main dishes. We were a party of 4 and no one had any complaints. Steak & cheese egg-rolls, Humus plate, Spinach Dip, Salads, Reuben, Hamburger all met or in the case of the Burger exceeded expectations. Wait staff seemed to get got a bit frazzled as the room filled during a Bruins game, but nothing that you would not expect in a busy sports bar, during a play off game on a Saturday night.

We live in natick and were hesitant to visit because of the subpar reviews. Food (burger and pizza) were awesome. A great mixed drink and draught selection. Our server George was great. Plus there were several groups of bills fan, they put the game on and gave us personal speakers. They also have pool and the atmosphere was nice. We will be back!

Had drinks and apps at Sky Bokx on 8/29. Food was great, but the bartenders are even better. Been here a few times and love that they remember us...makes us feel like "locals." Love that this place has joined the neighborhood when everything else is a chain. Only "complaint" is that the staff wear pretty cheesy uniforms which make it feel pretty impersonal - almost like being at TGI Fridays. All they are missing is the flair. Would give five stars, but think they need to pay attention to how they represent themselves through the clothes they make their staff wear. Let them wear wear their own team stuff or at least a jersey!

Just had my first visit on a not so busy Saturday night when other bars in the area were packed! I liked the layout and decor when I walked in and was excited to see some pretty big tvs at the bar- this place has all the right things to make it a great sports bar (if you could hear the game over the top 40 pop playing). I tried a mixed drink (bases loaded) that tasted like juice and quickly switched over to beer. They had a large selection of bottled and draft beers and I sampled two with no issues. My biggest problem is that the employees seemed more concerned with socializing and checking in with each other rather than their customers. We didn't stick around for any food. This place seems to have potential to be a great sports place but needs some help getting there.

Excellent burgers. Cooked as ordered, tasty and hot. Pub-ish calamari. I'd order it again. Fries are of the shoe- string variety. I liked them, but the rest of the family was mixed. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was really good. It must be hyper during Boston area sports events. We would certainly come back.

This place has nice decor, plenty of TVs at the bar and others spots. But the food and service are pretty bad. Sat down at the bar and nobody came over for a good 10 minutes despite one of the bartenders putting some glasses away in front of me. I was expecting him to acknowledge me and ask me what I wanted to drink. This seems to be common from reading other reviews. Finally got some service and menus. Ordered a bacon burger and garlic parmesan wings. Wings were overcooked and not much flavor. The fries were thin and overcooked - they tasted like those canned potato sticks. Burger was ok, but it's hard to screw up a burger. They definitely need to upgrade their food...awful.

Basic food, basic bar, basically just basic. There are a ton of TV's but only pepsi products to drink. Unless you like basic beer. Do I look 5? So, no I don't want a mountain dew. At least get some coke in your basic establishment. There are a ton of options in this area. I think the only reason they are still in business is because they are attached to the Hampton Inn. Choose somewhere else.

My friend and I stopped in here on the way home from the driving range the other to grab a beer and munchies. There was a good selection of beer that was fairly priced. The appetizers on the other hand were way over priced for what you got. A $9 order of Potato Skins consisted of 4 halves (2 whole) a little bit larger than a ping pong ball. A $9 order of Fried Mozzarella consisted of 6, 1.5 inch squares. If you want to stop in for a beer and watch a game this place is fine. Think twice about a food unless you are on a diet.

We come here often. Love the fish tacos! So happy it's open during the snowstorm. We had a fabulous bartender today named "Buddy". That's not always the case. I think management should be more concerned with how good their bartenders are and less concerned with how good they look in yoga pants.

I love this place for their truffle fries, cookie sundae, and seasonal chocolate raspberry martini! It's open fairly late, too. Servers are good, I've never had a bad one

Tried this place out last night wit friends. Got drinks and we shared appetizers. Food was pretty bad, especially the boneless buffalo wings and calamari. Those are hard to screw up! Service was VERY slow and if we had been in a rush, that would've been a serious problem. We are all feeling very ill the morning after. Coincidence???? Will NOT be back.

Despite being attached to the Hampton inn, this was a great place. I had the blue bacon burger and it was excellent. Clean atmosphere. Quality clientele. Good prices. Attentive bar staff. I will be back! Also plenty of good big TVs for sports viewing!

I hate giving one star to anyone or anything. In fact, it makes me feel guilty that I even have to submit this review. However, my experience here was so bad that I will never step foot in this place unless I was forced at knife point. This is something I need to share. I'll preface this by saying the manager, Michael, has been nothing but extremely helpful throughout this entire episode. My girlfriend and I decided to grab drinks and an appetizer here after shopping at the mall. Bartender took my credit card for my tab after we ordered drinks and buffalo nachos. Nachos came out within a few minutes because they used a pre-made cheese sauce that they poured over the chips. This was the first time I've ever sent anything back. I talked to the manager and he was great. He took it off my bill, explained how other people didn't like it either and said he tried bringing it up with the chef. Well my girlfriend and I felt a little embarrassed we had to do that so we drank our beers and left cash for our tab, completely forgetting about my credit card (doh!). I call back the very next day and they don't have my credit card. REALLY!? I was very suspicious and also curious to see what was going to happen so I ordered a new credit card instead of reporting it lost/stolen. Fast forward one month later and I see a charge on my card from Skybokx. Wow. I called them immediately and talked to the manager who instantly remembers me. Turns out, some customer used my credit card to buy drinks. They supposedly left a good tip too - how nice of them. Needless to say, I disputed the charge and reported fraud. I wonder how this customer got my card? Take what you will from this review. I would personally steer clear of this place. Other reviewers appear to reverberate this sentiment.

Pretty sad when you go to a sports bar they have TVs everywhere and not one has the NLDS Dodger/St Louis game on. The women working the bar don't control any of the channels. They had to ask what channel is it on to tell someone sitting in a back closet. How the blank does an out of towner know... Other then it's FOX. This does NOT qualify as a Sports Bar!!!

  • Lauren T.

What a disappointment. I had such high hopes for the restaurant after the location had been vacant for so many years. When they first opened I loved the concept, atmosphere, and promise of high end food. I've been there a half dozen times and each experience is different. There were some dishes I've enjoyed but more often than not they have let me down. With the exception of overpriced beer and food fares, they completely fail to deliver on the high end gastropub idea. Earlier this March my husband and I thought we'd try them again for dinner. I hadn't eaten since breakfast and was starving - almost anything would have been satisfying - not tonight. I ordered the Turkey burger which was dry. Even worse was the obviously stale bun they used. It was offensive how bad it was. That's the biggest problem - they can't seem to live up to the expectations they set on the menu - it all sounds like there was a lot going into the creation of the menu but they kitchen doesn't deliver. If any of the managers of this Restuarant read this please step up your game or lower your prices. You're starting to come off as you are trying too hard to be something you aren't.

I went here for the first time this past Saturday to see a friend's band and celebrate my girlfriend's birthday -- very impressed! Skybokx has a great location in a large parking lot, right off 9 /30/ the Pike. I had a chicken sandwich that was quite tasty and had a tangy horseradish sauce with it - quite good! Served fresh and on a warm roll. Folks in my party ordered several apps of variety, including a REALLY good artichoke dip that had toasted pita chips. All were quite good, albeit a little spicy. But hey, that's there thing! I was quite happy with the beer selection - a few good drafts ($4-5 each) and some better selection on bottles, including Jack's Abbey and Sam Smith Taddy Porter, a personal favorite. The girls all seemed to like their cocktails, especially the sorbet martini, and when we switched to pitchers, they were cold and inexpensive. Great venue for a band, too! Nice stage tucked in the corner with some house lights on the rigs - a welcome sight in the Metrowest bars! Tons of TVs showing a variety of games -- I'll happily return here!

Atmosphere at SkyBokx109 is amazing. More television screens here than at Best Buy. Server was polite and quick. Spinach dip came to the table cold but she addressed it immediately. Prices are good and the portions are generous. Overall I would recommend it and go again.

I Really Really wanted this to be a good review, but I am again disappointed. This is my 2nd time here. My 1st time was within the first week they opened did not go well, soup cold, fish/chips very small portions, and the rest wasn't much better, the manager came over and comped part of our bill it was that bad. I wrote it off as growing pains. Went there last night for drinks only, the place still looks great, Big TV, new and clean., I sat at a bar station that had 8 stools, waited for 15 min, no serves, I watched the 3 bartenders BS with each other, and the one waitress running around helping tables. I finally went up to the bar and got a drink menu, the waitress made it to us about 5-7 min after that. The drink took another 10 min to get, really, the bartenders where not busy, the place was only 1/3 full. Areas to improve: Team work needed, bartenders and mangers help the waitress when they are busy!! Glass on the bar are stacked together to dry...BIG BIG no no, this causes bacteria to grow in the glasses. Again this is a bartender and managers problem to fix. I really like the decor and the atmosphere, because of this I am going to try this place one more time, but that is it, 3 strikes and your out!

I was expecting something of a dive, but this was actually pretty nice. I felt underdressed in my yoga pants. We just had a couple apps and beers. They have a great selection of beers on tap which were served nice and cold. We had the classic buffalo wings. There was a bit too much breading for my taste. I liked them, my husband didn't. Good amount of spice, and it was served with what tasted like a homemade blue cheese dressing. The spinach artichoke dip was amazing and it was served with warm pita bread. Our server was very nice and attentive. We would definitely go back. Prices are about average. Two beers each and 2 apps was $35 before tip.

Have been here a few times. Food is pretty good. The tuna tostada, nachos and sliders are all very good. The drinks I have had there have all been good as well. Bartenders are attentive waitresses are ok. I took my dad, my sister and her family and kids and my kids and everyone liked their meal. If they can feed my extended family with no complaints they can feed anyone's.

My husband and I just ate here. Let's just say, my husband is havung serious "tummy trouble" and that's putting it lightly. The food is horrible. Ordered the buffalo nachos, basically queso cheese wiz and fake chicken. Awful. Tried the "'good fever" wings....tasted like sour chicken with a sweet/tangy after bite . Bar staff is amazing and can seriously make fabulous drinks. I would only go here for drinks. Don't waste your money on the food.....disgusting!!!!!!

This place is underwhelming in almost every way. We went with a big group and started out just standing in the bar area. When we moved to a hightop in the bar area, they made a huge deal about switching the tab over to a new server. The new server was friendly, but it seemed like they made a bigger deal out of switching tables than they did providing prompt service. Nothing horrible, just... underwhelming. Food is fine, but not "gastro" quality. The food seemed to be on par with other big chain restaurants, but priced maybe $2 higher. Ordered a manhattan--couldn't taste the whiskey (if there was any) through the sickish sweet syrup. Was going to send it back, but realized that its just not the kind of bar to order a drink like that (Jagr bombs and shots--ok, martinis/manhattans/etc--not so much). The only thing I really, REALLY object to is the beer list. First, for the most part, it's incredibly unimaginative. It's like they told the Budweiser/InBev rep, "Yeah, we need Bud, but give us a few of your foreign beers, and maybe one or two of your 'American craft' beers, too. Sorry, you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars renovating the place, putting in a sweet Bose sounds system, yet you can't take the time to put together a decent beer list? I can get Bellhaven, a 'Scottish' InBev label, but nothing local? If the manager is reading this, go check out Sel de la Terre, across the street at the mall--yes, a French restaurant's beer list wipes the floor with your "gastro sports" list. Also (this is beer related, but deserves its own paragraph), you carry Stone Arrogant Bastard in a bottle (which is good, the highlight of your beer list), but you charge 9 FRIGGEN DOLLARS FOR IT! NOT COOL. It's a great beer, but you're basically alienating beer snobs (me) with that stunt. Framingham/Natick is beer country. We know good beer, and your beer list will kill you. I know I'm being an arrogant bastard about this (see what I did there?), but I also drink a lot and tip well, so in theory you might want to make some easy changes so that people who like good beer will go here.

I have been here a total of four times, and have been disappointed three out of those four. There was never a host or hostess at the entrance, so we had to wait awhile to figure out if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. Once seated, the service was incredibly slow. We came on the first Friday of March Madness for lunch and it took 45 minutes to get our appetizers even though it wasn't crowded. Our waitress never acknowledged the long wait and then our entrees came out two minutes later. The other experiences were not as bad but weren't great. This restaurant has great potential--it has a good location and nice setup to watch a game, but the service could use a little work and the prices could be lowered a bit. I would try it again but hope for a few improvements.

Went for lunch and was the only person in the restaurant. Nice place a lot of TVs and would be great for a game. Lunch not so much, I ordered the Cobb salad and everything seemed canned or think of a cheap salad bar with cheap ingredients. That is exactly how this looked and tasted. Maybe go back for a beer and that's all.

Went with the family to check out this new spot. We were afraid that it would be swamped so we got there around 5:45 and got seated right away in a booth near the bar. There was a good crowd at the bar but not that busy for dinner at that time. Decor is very cool with exposed brick and local sports photos on the wall. Granite bar with plenty of TVs, this will be a great spot to catch games. While you can tell they are still working out the kinks, we had a very good time. Our server was very nice and was attentive albeit still learning the menu. Food was delivered promptly with good spacing between apps and dinner. While they seemed to have many taps for draft beer, the actual selection was limited. Wine selection was limited as well but reasonably priced. Our server told us they haven't had their official opening so I am sure there would be more variety on a future visit. In terms of the food, it was very good. We had the tuna tostada and Thai chili wings to start. The tostada was like the insides of a spicy tuna roll served on a fried wonton, with big chunks of tuna. It was very fresh and well seasoned. The Thai chili wings were very tasty with a pleasant heat that didn't overpower but made your lips tingle a little. My wife had the turkey club sandwich that she said was great. I had the au poivre burger, which was delicious but required a knife and fork since it was very messy. My oldest daughter liked her cheeseburger and my son liked the pizza although it looked like it was a little soggy. My other daughter had buffalo wings for her entree and she said they were very good. We unanimously loved the fries. All in all, it was a great experience and the front of house manager made a point of asking how everything was as we were finishing out meal, which was really nice. I can only see it getting better as they find their rhythm and we will definitely be going back. I am sure it will be more crowded next time.

My mom and I were staying at the Hampton Inn and very hungry from a long trip, so we decided to eat at SKYBOX. When we first walked in, there was no one at the hostess desk and a young man had to stop bussing tables to seat us. We waited a solid 15 minutes before anyone came over to wait on us. Finally our waitress arrived with "what do you want to drink" we ordered and received our drinks and she walked away. After waiting 10 more minutes she asked if we needed more time to look at the menu. I ordered the turkey club and my mom ordered a turkey burger. The food was descent, I actually really enjoyed the sandwich and the fries were delicious. But the service was going down hill fast! The female bartender left the bar to our waitress for about 15 minutes, while our drinks and several other tables drinks were empty. When the manager came out to say something to the bartender, she proceeded to yell at him in front of a full bar and booths. When he exited, she continued to bad mouth him to coworkers, while ignoring several empty cups. FINALLY our waitress came over to ask if we needed more to drink (water is an automatic refill most places), and disappeared. The waitress would wait at the bar for her drinks to be poured and have a nice chit chat before serving customers. The young man that sat us was busting his butt to provide good service while the bar tender and waitress had a social event at the bar. Our food sat in front of us for about 20 more minutes before we were even asked if we wanted dessert or a check. A quick lunch turned into an hour and a half of waiting and poor service. I would not come back

I have been to Skybokx 3 times and have only had positive experiences. The outside doesn't look very promising, but inside is an upscale, urban sports bar feel (granite bar and what not). With lots of TVs there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The first time I visited I bellied up to the bar alone and had prompt and friendly service from the bartender at lunchtime on a weekend. The fish taco app is very good and sized appropriately for an app or a light lunch. I had the Ruben at dinner next with my boyfriend in the restaurant section. My boyfriend had the steak frites. We were both pleased with our food and the speed with which it was delivered. The fries are shoestring variety and YUMMY! I went back tonight for post-work beers with a small group of girls and again had prompt and friendly service at a bar booth. We ordered a custom bacon pizza and naked extra crispy wings and they were all too happy to oblige the special order. Pitchers of shipyard pumpkin were also fabulous! Prices are reasonable for the area all around. I've read a lot of poor reviews of the place, but I can honestly say if haven't had a bad experience yet- CERTAINLY I've never gotten sick from it. I hope this helps clear the air a bit.

Moderately priced. Had a western burger here and it was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium and it was just right. Too many times it just doesn't come out right. I got this to go and it did not take forever. Another plus. The service however leaves a lot to be desired. Was here yesterday and thought maybe just an off day for the bar maid. Well, she's here again today. Same. Seems like a nice person, but maybe just better for a different job. A few people came in while I was here and had to look around for someone to help them. One person asked me if I knew who was working. It's unfortunate. The place has a lot of potential with plenty of TV screens to watch games, seems clean, but the service sucks.

I came here because my buddy was meeting a girl he said was cute over here. I didn't realize it was a setup but she had a really cute friend with her! The place was great, and the best part was the hotel right nearby! I had a great night, I will definitely be coming back.

Probably won't be coming back here for dinner, too bad, because it's a convenient location. The brick chicken was ok, nothing special. My wife ordered the surf and turf with the steak medium, but came out well done, and wasn't that great (too bad for a brand known for it's steaks). Service was slow, by the time we actually got our second round of drinks, we didn't even want them anymore. Waiter was nice at first, but then kind of changed his attitude after I asked for the check, and didn't even say thanks for coming when we were leaving. Not too bad of a place, if you want to just grab a drink and watch a game, but probably won't be coming back for the food again.

Second time here and have yet to be disappointed. First time got steak and cheese egg rolls (great!) and boneless Thai peanut wings. Tonight had the buffalo chicken nachos and the wings again. Great place to watch the game and have some drinks! Chris and Megan at the bar were awesome!

Trying to be high end sports bar. When are nachos not nachos? In this place. Epic fail. Food is like dog food. Our waitress gave horrible service. We had to fine maitre d for our bill. He was everywhere walking around but did little managing. It was so bad an experience we got to a point where we were just laughing at the horrible service.

My wife and I literally got food poisoning from the food at Skybokx 109. She had a burger and i had a turkey club so there must have been some sort of contamination. We were sick for days. Food tasted OK initially but wasn't spectacular and the Guinness was $7 a piece, which I thought was outrageous. I went back to tell them that they gave me food poisoning and the manager told me that reimbursing me would be an "admission of guilt" and I wanted to slap him and say, "Yes, you are guilty of giving me food poisoning!" Anyway, don't go here!

An excellent addition to an area that sorely need a good sports bar with open viewing of many TV's. We went with a larger group (8) and had dinner on a weekend night the first week open. They did have a few minor opening kinks to work out but nothing major. Food was pretty good. The buffalo wings were delicious and slightly different than the usual which i found very good. They are extremely messy so you'll need extra napkins for sure. Another review mentioned being squeezed in, they did seem to be working out table placement but I am sure they will have that figured out in the short term. Nothing t prevent me from giving them a decent rating or coming back.

We went in to watch a Bruin's game, and sat at the bar for 15 minutes with no one bartender or server even greeting us. There were several staff just standing around, and the bartender came within 2 feet of us several times to use the register, but he never acknowledged us. When we were leaving, I told the manager about the situation, and he did not try in any way to retain our business. Epic fail. Too bad, because the design of the bar makes it seem like a good place to watch games.

Good sports bar, great place to watch a game. Plenty of TVs and they'll bring a speaker to your table to listen to the game that you came to see. Solid food, love the pizza! Closer to 3.5 star rating in my opinion. Worth checking out, it's probably the best place to watch Sunday Ticket or College football in this area. Go Blue!

Good layout for a bar. Plenty of seating for large groups and bar seating. Fairly large drink/beer menu. Great knowledgeable and attentive service and bar tenders. Food is less impressive. I've gotten the food 3 times and it was very mediocre every time. The burger tasted as if it was a frozen patty and had almost zero flavor. Super disappointed. Every "Gastropub" needs to knock a burger out of the park and I could get a burger of this quality at my company cafeteria. The menu was well thought and is unique but I think it's a bit too ambitious for a bar. Yes, I know its gastro pub, but to me I think they went slightly more aggressive than they needed too. And if you don't like horseradish,,you can eliminate about 7 items. Wings were good but not a place I would go out of the way to eat at that's for sure.

We went here for game 5 of the playoffs. The decor is very cool and I really wanted to love this place. We ordered nachos when we sat down and waited. And waited. The table of 8 behind us that arrived 20 minutes after us received their food at the end of the first period. An hour after we ordered. The waitress said the order was lost and brought us the nachos. The nachos were mediocre with melted cheese sauce - not real cheese. We ordered dinner and asked if we could get it within a half hour. The kitchen manager assured us it would be there. The dinners were good - stick to the pizza. Overall, not a great experience......

Sat at the bar for ~15 mins without so much as a 'Hi'. Left shortly thereafter. Too bad, it seems like a great place to catch a game. Will not return.

Like another reviewer said, this place is underwhelming in almost every way. This is not the place to go for dinner and watch the game. This is the place you go with a bunch of friends, drink crappy beer and watch the game. I feel like I'm at Game On when I'm here- the food is mediocre at best, the beer selection isn't great, neither are the mixed drinks and the servers- while attentive lack personality and quite possibly experience.

This area is hurting so much for a decent bar that the crowds will still go no matter how bad it is. SkyBokx is nice... Lots of TV's , huge bar, open space, huge potential for a top spot. BUT ...... 1) If you are going to have a bartender specifically for the service bar it still should not take 15 minutes to get your drink after you order it when sitting at a table. 2) if I go out of my way to order my wings "extra crispy" that is how they should arrive at the table. I hate rubber wings !! 3) If I order the prime burger for $18 bucks its should be perfect in every way. I ordered it medium, it came out well done. It literally had one drop of horseradish aioli and no au-jus on the side. This is no Radius burger ... 4) The TV's were loud ( which was fine with me ) ... But if half the place is complaining about it they may have a point ... Turn it down a notch. Hopefully these are just kinks being worked out , but the prices are high so they better work them out in a hurry or most visitors here will be one timers.

eh. decor is kind of cool, very clean. I had fish and chips which was very good, fries were amazing, tarter-like sauce amazing. Everyone elses meal was just ok, kids pizza not so good. The server was nice. It was very quiet though and the part where you go to your table was slow and the hostess non communicative. We asked for a birthday dessert for the birthday mom and it was like a huge deal and they were no at all accommodating. They didn't pull it off. The manager came over and had his back to us, it felt rude and they pointed us to our table, didn't show us, so a less then good start. I would have walked out had I Not been meeting friends. But I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt as they are new. I'd try again in about 2-3 months.

If I could give "0" stars I would. Went with my husband to try this new spot. What a MAJOR disappointment. We asked for a "booth" and was told "we only have halve booths" so we figure what the heck. (Please notice that there are booths pictured on their website). We were like sardines in a can. The tables were very close together to a point that the couple next to us actually joined our conversation! I was told that the hit of this place would be the 109 Skybokz burger, but I refuse to pay $18 for "ground prime rib". Instead I got the "angus" burger" for $9, not so bad or one would think. My husband opts for the "new" item on the menu, the "sausage" sub. What a dissaster! The burger would compare to Burger King of McDonald's in size. Overcooked, although asked what tempature I would like (medium rare), coming out well done. Opted for the side salad instead of the fries- another mistake. My husband's "sausage" sub had a deli slice of sausage, along with a hot dog, barely noticeable peppers and onions- $12! My husband ate half and left the rest. The draft beers are $4 which is to be expected, buth $7.50 for a glass of "sangria" that was served in a small wine glass, filled with ice and an overpour of juice, no taste whatsoever. We did get the Thai chicken wings which were just okay- $8 about 6-7 pieces, nothing to write home about. The waiter was nice but obviously very confused. Took a long time to get our drinks, didn't check back on us once the food came. We couldn't get the check fast enough to get out of there. $50 later left unhappy, unfilled and totally disappointed. We willl not be coming back!

Food was good. So far so good. Atmosphere as far as build out and utilizing space was nice. Great lay out. Wait staff needs some help. Bartender with additive and the measuring of expensive drinks are a draw back. Ten (10.00 ) for a thimble of whatever. Really. Has potential. Hope they see the light and work it out.

Went there after seeing good review on Phantom Gourmet. Had Mac & Cheese, which was the worst M&C I've ever had, really no flavor at all and texture was both runny and gritty if that's possible. Others in my party had a Burger and Philly Cheesesteak, both unremarkable. The service was mediocre, took some time just to get a beer and my ginger ale was flat. Waitress never asked how our food was. Interior was nice but bad food is a fail.

Would give 0 if I could. Nearly an hour to get a simple burger and they messed up the two burgers. The fries were cold and burger really over done when asked for medium. Never got side salad asked for but charged for. And it was not that busy. Now I know why ratings so bad. Will never come again nor recommend.

This place is awesome. I think some of the reviewers are turning into gordon ramsey, "oh thats dry", get over yourselves please. The place is beautiful, well needed for the area, and the beer tasted awesome. Thanking you for filling this empty hole that just sat there empty for two years. (landlord a little unrealistic?) whatever the reason, thank you and welcome.

Great space - nice dining area, great bar, tons of t.v.s, private function room. Service was pretty bad - took forever for our waiter to come to our table, took forever to get our table bused, took forever for everything - and the place was not busy when we arrived. Cocktails were terrible (my cosmos was a vodka & water). Weird thing was that there were a bunch of management/suits around (doing what i don't know). Food was decent - good burger, fish & chips, nice shoestring fries - but not great. I would love to see this place succeed, but it needs work. Overall - my review is "meh."

Nice looking place. I had their chopped and cobbed salad and it was really good. The dressing(green goddess) was delicious. All the vegetables were very fresh! I don't like bacon so I opted out of it. Overall a great experience and I think more people should come over here.

Skybokx 109 opened less than a week ago. Normally I avoid restaurants during their opening days as they almost always have problems until they get their rhythm. We had business colleagues staying for a meeting at the next door Hampton Inn, so it made sense to meet them for drinks there. In the end, I wound up going to Skybokx 3 days in a row - once for drinks, once for drinks and appetizers, and finally, I went on the restaurant's first Saturday night for dinner with my family. The restaurant is set up as a nice sports bar, with enough TVs such that I don't think you could sit anywhere and complain you didn't have a good view of at least one TV. Two out of my 3 visits I was seated in the private dining room, which has about 6 tables and is nice if your as much into conversation as watching whatever event is on TV, i.e. the main room is what you would expect with regard to noise level. The drinks only visit, went fine. The selection of beers was nice, and the good selection of draft beers apparently changes each day. Service was attentive and reasonably efficient. The drink and appetizer visit was also good, though there was some hint of issues with getting the food out as it seemed to me to take longer than it should have for an order of 3 appetizers. Once they arrived though, all were quite tasty. The nachos plate was generous, and particularly good if you like your nachos with ample chili and a bit of kick. I also liked that the chips seemed fresh and not greasy at all. Ribs were flavorful with the meat very tender. Asian rolls were also ordered and while not my first choice for bar food, also seemed nice with their peanut sauce. Given the above experiences, along with a good football game going on Saturday night, I was encouraged to take my family there for a full dinner. Unfortunately, this is when my fear of the "newly opened restaurant" were realized. As word still hasn't gotten out yet, we were immediately seated though we arrived at 6:00, a typically busy dinner hour for the area. From there on, the service went severely downhill. We were asked about drinks fairly quickly, but then had to wait about 15 minutes until they arrived. And, as an omen for the rest of the dinner, our waitress first went to the wrong table with our drinks. We were in the private dining room that night and noted that the other tables were also getting similarly little to no, or confused service. Fortunately for all of us, the managers came in (in one case, as family with young children, the father had to get up to get a manager) and tried to put out the various fires of no drinks or appetizers. We waited about 30 minutes for our appetizers to arrive (after the 15 minute wait for drinks) and then about 3 minutes later 2 of our 4 main courses came out - something, that even with a long wait for food, always annoys me. Still my son and I were without our burgers. For about another 10-15 minutes, the waitress would randomly come by our table to see if we had gotten our burgers, see that we hadn't, and say she would look into it. Finally, I had to get up and go to a manager to get him to find out what happened to our burgers. He finally came back, apologized, noting that the order had not gone through but was being filled now. Notably, he was good enough to take the charge for the burgers off our bill. (Another table seemed to get their whole dinner for 5 for free after talking with the manager.) So it wasn't till significantly over an hour that my son and I finally had our dinners. All the above being said, the food was very good. We ordered the nachos again, which were just as good as the previous night, and an order of buffalo wings. Note that even the supposedly very hot wings were not that spicy, but were very tasty, and what I consider appropriately flavored, i.e. not heavy on a more BBQ sauce type of flavor. (My family is big into wings, and I wouldn't go here just for the wings, but they certainly make a nice appetizer.) My wife had a pepperoni pizza which seemed reasonable though nothing exciting, my daughter went with a grilled cheese sandwich that she greatly enjoyed, and both my son and I were very pleased with our hamburgers. The burgers and sandwich came with fries (or you could get a salad); the fries were in some way the highlight of the meal - thin and no hint of oil, salted just right. My family and I will return to Skybokx 109, after some time to get the bugs out, because the food was very good, and the menu is supposed to expand before the end of January 2013. For now my 3 star rating will stand as the average of 4 star food and 1-2 star service. Given how the management seemed to be very aware of the problems, I have hope for 4 stars in the future.

Nice atmosphere and decor. The drink Degandre I'm not sure if there was any alcohol...a little watered down. Nachos were very good. I ordered the burger on the ciabatta roll and it was very good. Husband had the clam chowder soup, in one word, disgusting! Didn't taste good at all. He had the burger with the egg and again, good burger. For a sports bar the menu is disappointing. Though the burgers are good they mirror the Met Bar, very fancy. Waitress had an overwhelming amount of perfume on. Overall, with so many restaurants in the area probably won't be visiting this place again.

I had only ever been to the bar and never had a problem the food is good the fries are amazing and the drinks and atmosphere is nice. My boyfriend and I decided to actually sit down in the restaurant area for a change since we were with another couple... It was awful. First we had to wait about 20 mins to sit down which was fine because it was a Friday night. then when we were seated we waited another 20 mins for someone to notice us and finally take our drink order. While we were waiting there was a family with about 15 kids who were running around and were up on the stage and being really obnoxious but I understand that is more the family's fault than the restaurant. Well when we put our drink order in and no joke another 20 mins passed... so now we have been in the restaurant for an hour and haven't even got our drinks and not only that not one waitress or host was on the floor for us to let know that we were leaving so we just got up and had a great meal at Samba and my boyfriend and I have not gone back and stopped recommending people to go there.
