The chips were the best part. The menu sounded interesting with various combinations. Went with the mini pack so I could experience two of the options for Burritos. The minis are TINY, but was a good size for sampling. Unfortunately both (Cajun, Tika) were extremely bland

I love Boloco. I love their twist on burritos. I love their rewards card. I love their soda machine. I love the staff there. I love online ordering. I have to say, their customer service is great too. If you email them with a question or problem, they are responsive and active. My daughter had a milkshake there and very soon after got sick. I think the milk or something in the shake was probably bad. We let them know and they immediately checked the quality of their products to see if there was a problem. We have not ordered a shake since, but we still eat there all the time.

I really like Boloco for their selections. Many more choices than Chipolte. I just tried the New England Harvest small salad and I added the all white meat chicken. Glad I got the smaller one because I am so full. Summer burrito is great too. Staff are upbeat and the soda machine is awesome. Chips are okay.

Since writing my last review, Boloco has seriously stepped up their game. Although the prices are a little bit on the expensive side, the food is flavorful and the quality has greatly improved at this location. The employees are also extremely friendly and the outdoor seating is nice as well.

Ok I don't know what took me so long to try this place. Extremely clean, very friendly and funny staff and fresh food - you can't really beat it. I came in with an order for work of 4 big bowls and a burrito - they turned this order around so quick I couldn't believe it. My big bowl with quinoa, steak, black beans and corn salsa was delicious and tasted so fresh. I couldn't believe how much steak they put in it. The only thing I would wish for is more seasoning. The quinoa was very bland. All of my co-workers loved their bowls and have already insisted we get food from there again. I also ordered the Mango drink. It was so perfect. The prices are great for what you get and the parking over here isn't terrible since the lot is seperate from the mall parking.

I would give this place a 5 star rating if it were just for the food (that's if they actually had the food all the time). But this place needs new management ASAP. I come here often (because I don't like Chipotle), and they are always out of something even when it's not crowded (tonight they were out of chicken... And steak)... A lot of the times they don't know what they're out of until after you pay, and then it's too late. There is zero communication and while they are frequently nice to the customers, they don't seem very nice to one another (hence why there is a new person every time I come here). Worth going on the off-shoot that they have basic burrito ingredients in stock (and it might take you a few trips).

Had to make a pit stop for a quick meal. I was looking for something hot on the run so I got a bean burrito. I use to go to the location in Boston and loved it but sadly I've been disappointed each time I've tried this place. My burrito was cold and the rice seemed under cooked making it crunchy. I may go again and continue to try it. Maybe 3rd time will be a charm.

Great fast-casual Tex-Mex! Very clean place. Conaidering the location and customer traffic, the food gets done quickly. Not the biggest tofu fan but the tofu there is insane!
(4)Phil M.
Just moved here from California and we were very concerned that we wouldn't be able to find good burritos in MA. Crisis averted. Boloco is as good as any of our regular haunts in Cali. I deducted 1 star for the long lines.

It was my first time going to Boloco and I can definitely say I'll be back again despite a few minor problems with filling the order. The Nutella milkshake was delicious. I also got the summer burrito without black beans and the mango salsa was perfect, especially considering the fact the weekend I went, it was so hot out so I didn't want anything too heavy. They did seem to have some problems filling orders though because while my order didn't take too long to get, my friend, who was right behind me in line, had to wait forever for her order to come up and even after it was made, it was just sitting there because they weren't wrapping orders up to go. After pointing out which burrito was hers (not the next one in line even though she was the next one to order), finally we were able to get it wrapped up to go. If they were a little more organized in making the orders and then wrapping them up after they are made, rather than making a lot of other orders and then just wrapping them up at the end, it would be a lot faster and then customers wouldn't have to spend so much time standing around waiting for their order to be ready.

Dear Friends, allow me to tell you why Boloco is King in my book: Today was my first time in the Natick location (Cleveland Circle is my fav, and you could fit that one about 6x over in Natick... but I still love it) and after a few hours of doing errands and dealing with obnoxious people on Rte 9, I was craving my steak burrito. Imagine my horror when the guy at the register said they were out of steak! Out of steak??!! Seriously.... out of steak. This red-meat-loving gal didn't know what to do, so I ordered a chicken burrito; if the saying goes not to cry over spilled milk, I can't cry over no steak. Fresh cookies had just come out of the oven, so I figured I owed myself one of those, and when the nice guy (who had probably already heard "what, no steak??" 200x) swiped my Boloco card, I was only charged for the cookie. Now, here is a lesson to all restaurants, QSR (quick serve) or otherwise: when you are out of something, don't start off by saying what you are out of. Turn it into a better/still good experience, as today was. Even if I did pay for the chicken burrito, I would still be a huge fan, but I think all of the steak lovers left happy today. Easy parking right out front, and then you can right back on Rte 9 to deal with the lunatics.

Food is good. Only problem is there payment system. They should have payment system like chipotle where you pay later.
(3)Denis M.
Are you having problems with constipation? Well, you came to the right place. Food from this exquisite cuisine will have you sitting on the toilet for hours. In case you need some heartburn medicine after your lunch, not to worry, your neighborhood drug store is just around the corner.

Delicious! I love the menu (because I'm a picky eater, and it let's you customize your order to a 'T' pretty much). They have cute, clever emails with specials and savings. Received an email today (save 2$ because of the crappy rain outside) and it reminded me..."Hey, this place was awesome when we got it last week...let's do it again!" Ordered for the office. Boloco has much fresher ingredients than the other burrito places in the area...the chicken isn't that awkward-rubbery-fake charcoal-crap either, which I appreciate. Everyone was happy with their meal. My only qualm would be the online group ordering...it sent out the email invite about 25 minutes after it should have! (We had since cancelled the invite and just ordered 'the regular way'). I definitely recommend going here for fast-healthy food.
(4)Maria D.
Oh my goodness, the staff was an absolute riot! From the minute we walked in, they were cracking jokes and making it a fun experience. I ordered the Thai burrito and my boyfriend ordered the buffalo chicken burrito. I wasn't a huge fan of the Thai burrito but that was my own fault for thinking I would like the peanut sauce. I enjoy all the options they have as well as the different sizes you can get. I also liked how the menu includes options that are dairy free and so on. I can't wait to go their again!
(4)Amber S.
I got the special burrito for $2.15!!! how can you beat it. the thai burrito is bomb and in the summer they have an incredible mint and lemonade slushie.

Skip this location unless you have extra time and want a stomach ache. Just like the review by Jessica B., I got sick after eating there Sunday December 1 , 2013 at 1pm. The green peppers and onion topping was the culprit- I know because it declared itself as spoiled every few hours during the next two days. Being so close to Boloco headquarters, I was shocked at how unorganized the place was. Food prep line was pathetic the day I visited. Two people operating the registers and one guy (manager) preparing the food. Others were on duty but not contributing to the output. He could not keep up with the frequency of orders. There were at times 8 customers standing around watching/instructing as they waited for their lunch to be prepared. Men's room was out of toilet paper. Trash cans were overflowing. You and this Boloco crew should go to a Chipotle to see how it is done right. PS: the wifi did work well.

If this review was based on burritos alone it would be a 3 star, more like a 2.5, but that isn't what Boloco is all about. I work at the mall and I frequent this Boloco a few times a month, so this review is a long time in the making. Lets start with the staff... They rock! Always super friendly and very helpful. They always have a smile on their face and honestly seem like they love working there. Down to the Burritos. I feel like they are trying to do too much by offering so many different options, I think the quality and mostly the taste would be better if you cut half the stuff out. If I wanted tikka masala I would just go to the Indian buffet down the street and drowned myself in it. The other main issue I have with the burritos is the only a handful of staff members know how to correctly roll one. I would say 2 out of 5 burritos fall apart on me halfway through. Staff is always quick to over a bowl though. The other problem I have with this store is the overall cleanliness. The counter around the coke machine is always a mess, trash all over it, barely ever stocked. The tables are always a nightmare as well, if I eat in I am always brushing off rice and beans before I sit. All that aside I love they way Boloco operates as a company. I love their green initiative with biodegradable cups, recycled paper, and recycling bins. I love there liberal rewards system, I usually end up with a free burrito or 2 every month. I also just love the general attitude of the company and those are the reasons I keep coming back.
(4)Jon B.
In general, I just love Boloco. However, I've been going to this Boloco for a few years now and have never been disappointed. Even though the store has seen its fair share of different employees, the service has always been fast and friendly. My orders have never been messed up and I imagine if they were, they'd be fixed without question. There isn't really anything specific to call out because I enjoy all aspects of this store, o give it a try!
(5)Ryan B.
Good food and online ordering is a snap. It is a fast food business. Employees come and go which reflects on the quality. Out of the past 10 times I ordered, they got it wrong except for twice. But it's ok and I can eat anything on their entire menu. Today, I saw an employee inspecting food. I asked what's going on? He seemed quiet and hesitant, I explained I need to know what you are looking at. I ordered food and if something is wrong, please tell me I will change my order. I'm not being rude, I need to know. He told me he was looking at the quality of the chicken, in which the dark meat and white meat look the same. Buddy, I fully appreciate you taking the time to ensure the food meets a certain standard. I thanked him for doing his job, took my order and left. Go ahead, mess up my orders every time, as long as I know the food is somewhat clean and upheld to standards, I will return. If you won't eat something off the floor or is below standards, why should I?

Boloco is great for a quick meal. They have tofu for the vegetarians which is great. I didn't like how they are prepackaging their nacho chips now but I just learned that their chips are made daily and delivered daily by la nina from Everett Ma. Boloco says " In fact they are the same chips we have always had, now with better packaging (to reduce the early onset of stale flavors that happened with our paper bags) it is the same chip from the same place, new bag is all. In fact soon we will be moving to a compost-able version of the current plastic :( bag." The guacamole was great and fresh!

I do enjoy Boloco, and I often finding myself craving some. I appreciate that they are the "real deal", whereas Chipotle was once owned by McDonalds. I find them to be relatively similar these days, however. What makes me shy away from Boloco is not the food (delicious), the quality (fresh), the wait (not too long, even on a busy day), or the service (pretty good for fast-food). It's the PRICE for the most basic thing. One regular burrito, and one large burrito with a bottle of water is $20!? Ouch. That's like a sit-down dinner at an actual restaurant. I guess I just feel like fast-food for two should be $15 or under, drinks included. Call me crazy.
(3)Chris C.
Boloco. Consistent, great food. Awesome guacamole. Pricing seems strange, but worth it. Awesome staff.
(4)Michael K.
Boloco gets it - absolutely the best at presenting a great customer experience along with delicious, fresh burritos served quickly even during the busy lunch rush. The Natick team is *again* A plus in my book. Location is very clean. The mouthwatering "Berry Blitz" was a fantastic complement to my meal.

I am a frequent visitor of Boloco. I generally love their food, their service, their freebies, and their entertaining emails as a Boloco registered member. I went in today to cash in my free burrito from the Snowloco storm in March and order some additional food for friends. I ordered 2 mini burritos and a regular burrito. The mini burrito was taken off but all of a sudden the price of my other burritos jumped $3.00. So, I get something for free and then am charged higher than menu prices to make up for it? Not cool, Boloco. Not cool at all. In this case, an original is advertised as $6.50 and I was charged $7.80 plus tax. A mini was advertised as $3.70 and I was charged $4.72 plus tax.

I love Boloco for its quick and healthy vegan and gluten free options. I also love its focus on being environmentally friendly. I have eaten at least 6 Boloco locations in 2 states. If you want healthy and convenient food, go to Boloco. But that is not what compelled me to write this review. I was compelled by the amazing customer service experience I had at this location one evening a couple weeks ago. I went in and ordered 2 of the New England Harvest salads and a Soy Berry Shake with no honey (since I am vegan). I was so focused on ensuring that I asked for no honey in the shake, I completely forgot to ask for no cheese on the salads. When my name was called, I came up to get my food. I must have looked extremely disappointed when I saw the goat cheese, because on of the nice people who made the salads for me asked me if something was wrong. I informed them (there was one woman and one man) that I had forgotten to ask for no cheese and that I can't have diary. Before I even had time to take in what I had done, the girl behind the counter smiled and told me she would make them again and that it was no problem. She was so genuinely nice about my mistake! They remade my salads and gave them to me, both with kind smiles. So many other restaurants would have been mad at my mistake and made me feel uncomfortable about remaking them. The experience could have turned me off from going to Boloco, but instead it made me an even more loyal customer! I wish I could find their supervisor and put these 2 in for an employee award. If someone at Boloco sees this, please send me a message and I would be happy to give you more information.

4.99 stars for this location! No doubt does this location have their customer service down to a science. They're fast and friendly, serves with wit and a smile! Cleanliness is shining and radiant! I've eaten Boloco for the past five-six years of my life; in and outside of Boston. Each time is like a new experience! And, I always get the chicken teriyaki with a gianormous Nutella milkshake. But, never have I been asked or have been told that I have the chance to choose between white or dark meat! I commend them. I hate white meat; dark meat for me ALWAYS! Seriously, I'm in love with this staff. Toward the end of the counter while my milkshake was just being contained, pretty little lady told me that she made too much, and if I'd like have the rest. Sure! Why not? The rest goes to the boyfriend for being so smart to take a detour, instead of sitting in Friday night traffic and stopping at McDonald's instead. So, I had zero remorse for having "fast food". There was flavor other than pink slime. --This is a great alternative. Food is fresh and always delicious, as well as the conscious decisions on how you want to mix up your meal. Why are they shy of a complete 5 stars? Well, the rice isn't cooked to perfection. In some bites, the rice is just undercooked and may seem like eating pebbles. And, this may be for many or all locations. So, I don't blame Framingham entirely. Oh, and I'm just mad at the Boston Local Company (BoLoCo) for not building one near where I work. Woburn needs one on every exit on the highway! Please! I beg of you.

Never never again... I absolutely hate beans and We ordered a classic Mexican with no beans and brought it home and what do you think we fine in my burrito ...beans. Why can't they get the orders right .....it wasn't busy, this is the second time and I will not be going back.
(1)Anurag M.
Enjoyed the Buffalo and Summer wraps. food quality is great and the proximity to ben and Jerry helps as well. Service is good. kids options are good.
(4)Norman C.
I'm extremely glad that Boloco put a store in Natick. The food is good, the service is great, with wonderful customer service; they've been very good at owning up to mistakes and just doing whatever it takes to "make things right"-- my son got beans in his burrito (he hates beans), my daughter's Chicken-and-Cheese snack wrap missed out on the chicken -- I don't want to make it sound like they mess up everything-- we go there a lot, and these two oopsies make up maybe 2% of the number of things i've gotten from there. And in both cases, when I (drove back and) brought it to their attention, it was fixed with a smile. Wondrous. It seems almost like cheating to use the Boloco loyalty card (free item after $50 spent) in conjunction with the LevelUp smartphone-payment app ($10 credit after $100 spent), but they were totally cool with that. That means by spending $100, I'll get $10 + two free menu items, so about $25 worth. Significant discount of 25%! Some of the test items are winners, some are not. But there's some good thinking going on there. They've had some goofy come-ons to get people to venture forth in storms ("bring in a snowball!"), and some folks were upset when they felt that Corporate was forcing workers to come in during Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy. The music is great too, with Bose speakers thumping away. Great for pre-/post- movie or mall visits. tl;dr: good food, good service, often busy. pay via LevelUp and make sure you get a Boloco Card too.

AVOID This LOCATION or BOLOCO. THEY ARE OVERCHARGING and the price doesn't match with the receipt. CHECK THE PRICE. When to pick up my niece after finishing her 1st year of College @ Berklee. She keep telling me that I should try BOLOCO before leaving Boston. and we did. We stop in the NATICK location. I place the order 1 Original, 1 Mini, both with Guacamole, 1 Nutella shake and 1 soda. The order came out to $22.00 something. Paid with my credit card and wait for my food. Then I realize that I didn't get my receipt. (They don't give you receipt unless you requested) When I check my receipt I realize that the receipt didn't match with the price post it. I ask the cashier and he told me that the extra is for the Guacamole. But they charge me for the original $8.27 plus $1.73 for Guacamole and for summer small $6.87 plus $1.26 for Guacamole. They overcharge me around $3.00 its about 13%. If they company need that is better to post it in the menu board than overcharging. When I told my niece about what happened about the overcharging, she said no wonder her receipt sometimes doesn't match with the board. She never check the receipt. and i guess most of the people don't. I guess this is a great way to increase profits to the company.

Among the "gourmet" burrito group (Qdoba, Chipotle, etc) Boloco is my favorite. It's not authentic Mexican cuisine, but the flavor combinations they have are excellent. So so yummy, fresh, different! And the food could be described as healthy. Lots of veg, grains, etc. Depending on what you get I guess, it IS healthy! What's NOT healthy? How about a little slice of miracle called The Jimmy Carter. This milkshake is more dynamic and charismatic than the man himself. A choco-peanut butter flavor-gasm with nearly 1000 calories (for a large). The prices are comparable to those other burrito places, and I like that they have sizes to choose from. You can get regular, small and mini (a great snack size at a faboo price), instead of that giant turd of burrito you get at Qdoba.
(4)Judith M.
Maybe not the best, but what the heck, fast food curry at the mall? Cum'on, you gotta give them & their ? friendly ish? chicken some props.
(3)James B.
It's fine for a quick take-out lunch -- the folks at the counter are friendly and pretty fast with getting you food, even with lines to the door sometimes. Food-wise, it's about what you would expect from a fast food Mexican style place -- fairly tasty, but not something that you'd necessarily rave about. Boloco in general offers a lot of interesting burrito options, but they're not all necessarily good. I stick with classic Mexican at this point. The parking situation isn't as bad as it's made out to be in some reviews. Yeah, at peak lunch time you won't get the space right next to the building and will have to walk for a minute. On occasion -- like at Christmas time when everyone is out shopping at the mall next door -- you'll have to park around back. It's not a situation that would keep me from going there.
(3)C C.
Very well run establishment with great management, friendly staff and fantastic burritos. During my last visit, I screwed up my order and the manager helped me change it with no hassle at all. Love this location versus other Bolocos!
(5)Joselyn Y.
Went here when I was super hungry and in a rush. I forgot what chicken burrito I got but it was alright. Not great, but alright. The place was kind of dirty (there was food spilled on the ground) but the service was quick and helpful. Not sure if I will willingly go back though.

After my shopping was done, I stopped at the newly opened Boloco (next to Ben & Jerry's) across from the Natick Collection. Boloco specializes in burritos, smoothies, & salads and open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Boloco stands for "Boston Local Company" formerly "The Wrap" from back in the day. I entered the place through the first outside glass door into the vestibule. In the vestibule, there are signs on the plate glass windows warning to the effect Not a Door- SILLY!!! After entering through the second glass door, the inside has a high ceiling with exposed metal beams, ample seating, open kitchen, and a self serve fountain drink station. There is also limited seating outside too! You can choose from eight creative burritos: The Classic, Cajun, Teriyaki, Mediterranean, Summer, Caesar, Bangkok, or Buffalo and add grilled chicken, grilled steak, tofu, fajita vegetables, or carnitas (coming soon) in small size ($5.00) or large size ($5.95), on the pricier side for a burrito by itself. For value, you can make it a combo for $2.00 more by adding chips and a drink. I ordered a large Cajun Burrito (black beans, corn salsa, sour cream, rice, spices) with Steak ($6.25 with tax) at the register (gave my name). It was nice to watch the friendly staff (four people+manager) assemble the burrito down the line starting with the large flour tortilla being steamed, then adding the fresh ingredients to the burrito, wrapping the burrito, foil wrapping tightly, and served. The service was efficient moving down the prep line. The well-made large burrito was heavy and not messy. The Cajun burrito was not as spicy as I expected, but tasty and filling. I like the free WiFi offered here. After I finished my food, I managed to leave the place the way I came in, through the real doors - SILLY!!!
(3)Nik C.
Just a quick update. Had the new Tikka Masala burrito. It was awesome! The flavor was right on and the sauce to chicken (go dark meat!) was perfect; not too drippy, not too dry. Highly recommended. We checked out the new coke machine too - I really like that you can get some less popular flavors (lime coke!).
(5)Bobby H.
I went in here to get My free Birthday Burrito. I mentioned it to the guy behind the counter and he went out of his way to make sure I got as much for free as possible. Which was quite a surprise considering it WAS free. Most of the time they wanna give away as little as possible. ALso when i mentioned I had a food allergy. He relayed this to the people and they all switched gloves and made sure they cleaned the counter extra well to make sure that I didn't have any allergic reactions to anything. I was extremely impressed, and actually a bit embarassed. I told him had i known they were going to go through all that I wouldn't have said anything. Overall I would highly reccomend this place. I've liked boloco for a few years and they never cease to impress me.
(5)Shane K.
Absolutely no complaints from this place. Reasonably priced, very fresh & tasty and friendly staff. The location is convenient and even more so if you want to go next door to Ben & Jerrys for dessert. If I had to change 1 thing it would be the size of the burrito's. A little on the small side for a huge man like me.
(4)Kris V.
Great service right from when you walk in the door! Very friendly staff all the time! Never has failed yet. Excellent fresh food all the time! Generous portions too! Try the Cajun with white meat chicken, wheat wrap and brown rice. Jimmy Carter shake ain't too shabby. Boloco card is a great deal, as well. Free birthday burrito, and free menu item every $50 spent! In my opinion, Boloco far exceeds Chipotle and Moe's which are all within a half mile of one another.
(5)Leo L.
This place is a pleasant surprise. No, they do not really serve Mexican food, so don't compare them to Anna's - instead they have "inspired" wraps that are actually fairly healthy and tasty. My favorites are the Bangkok and the Summer, which actually have nice, complex flavors (though I always think about a carnitas burrito when I order them). The soy shakes are also quite good and it's a nice touch to have them in biodegradable cups. So all in all, a 3.5. They're a little pricey for what they are and the selection is limited, but we've been consistently satisfied. And yes, that's my son dancing on the bench to the always funky tunes they have at his favorite restaurant "Bolocooooos!".
(3)Byron M.
Stopped by this burrito chain after church with friends. This place is clean and ther service is fast. I like the classic burrito with Steak. I tried the mango and it was a bit mushy. Good overall.

Amazed by the bad reviews. My sons and I started frequenting Boloco in Natick on December 26. How can I be so exact? Well, the Boloco card lists every one of our visits! We've been numerous visits since. First my sons introduced me to Chipotle in Natick. The design of the dining room at Chipotle was a turn off because it was contemporary (read: cold and uninviting) as well as difficult to sit and eat while a line formed all through the dining room. At Boloco the dining room is separate from the line with a short wall divider. Moe's was a bit better in terms of layout but the location is int he former Pizza Hut - there was a reason for turnover. It felt uncomfortable. Then the boys introduced me to Boloco and I knew it was a good fit. The place is really into "green" stuff and I like that ALOT. Even the cups are recycled materials. Only the cashier seems to speak fluent english but he has great charisma. My first visit I arrived and wasn't even hungry but he was able to convince me to try a small burrito. I was overwhelmed with the choices and he helped me made decisions by narrowing it down to ingredients that I like rather than push me into a menu choice (as other places did). The artwork is a nice touch with oil paintings depicting local scenes of Natick. Good enough to want to purchase, actually. I love the new soda machine - although Five Guys and Wendy's now have it too. I have recommended this place to other people. Parking is free and not a problem but the location doesn't jump out at you. It is sandwiched between the Container store and the Ben & Jerry's ice cream over where the Disney Store used to be before the Natick Mall became the Natick Collection. Lastly, the place is very clean. Someone is always cleaning up and no one is just standing around idle. Hard workers. Customers are nicer than other places too.

I was at the Burlington Coat Factory buying a new winter coat and craving a burrito. I'm not a huge burrito person, but I was just dying for one. So, when I passed by Boloco, I had to have one. I was expecting something sort of like Anna's (which I don't like -- Taqueria Mexico in Waltham is my local fav) but I just needed to placate my craving. I was immediately impressed by their organic offerings, whole wheat tortilla options, and smoothie menu. Some of the burrito options didn't sound burrito-y enough to me (more like wraps) so I went with the classic, sans beans, plus free range chicken, on a whole wheat tortilla. It was a little expensive for the size, but it turned out to be JUST what the doctor ordered. And even though I thought it was a little small, it satisfied me and I don't have that "I can't believe I ate the whole thing!" sick feeling that I often get from burritos. The iced tea was unsweetened and yummy, and I'm looking forward to watching the compostable drinking cup made of corn biodegrade in my compost heap. Sure, it's not authentic but believe me, neither is Anna's. It's all about taste to me and I thought Boloco surpassed the yumminess of Anna's by a landslide.

For a quick burrito place, Boloco is very good. They have what I'd call 'gormet' burritos, that can include everything, or you can get a simple burrito. My favorite is the Summer burrito, with tofu, brown rice, and hot sauce on a wheat tortilla. Very yummy! The Stow Away corn chips are very good too. They have a 'frequent eater' card, and give you free food. They also give you a free item of your choice for your birthday. And randomly, they send you free food emails. Such was the case on 4/1, they had a buy 1, get 1 free email. If I had a choice between Chipolte and Boloco, Boloco would win every time. Oh, and now I do, Chipolte opened just down the street. Only went there once, to see what the big deal was. I'm still wondering...as I walk into Boloco!

A run of the mill burrito shop. For fast food, it runs on the expensive side of things, but it is a decent burrito for a lunch break or stop after shopping at Shopper's World / Natick Collection. My favorite thing on the menu would be the teriyaki tofu burrito. Had a fair share of veggies, sauce, rice and tofu. On the whole, it was just slightly above average, but better than usual near-shopping area food court stops and restaurants.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. 'inspired burritos' indeed! My favorite is the Bankok Thai with tofu and the fat-free smoothies are delicious. Plus the service is pretty awesome. The people behind the counter always smile (and occasionally flirt) and there is this jolly man I see there occasionally who is just fun in general and is great to make conversation with! I'm a regular for sure, there's nothing else like it.

moving to Boston from California - I was craving for a good burrito. Boloco's gave me the satisfaction that Ive been missing for soooo longgg! I love their classic mexican - really hits the spot. yummy

There are some haters on this place. I can understand where they are coming from. However, this is not a destination place. I work down the street and this place serves decently cheap ($5) burritos that taste good for lunch. Natick is a wasteland of chains and mediocre food options. Unless you like Indian or Asian, and then you're all set. But this place is no Anna's, but its not like Anna's is moving to Worcester Road anytime soon. And yes the burritos are smaller, but perhaps they're helping with the nation's obesity epidemic. Free wi-fi also. In case you like drooling cilantro all over your new Macbook Pro.

I can understand why people looking for Mexican food might be disappointed by Boloco; but I am more interested in how the food tastes than in how authentic it is, and Boloco burritos taste pretty good. I went there last night and had dinner for 2 for under $15, and it was actually pretty good, relatively interesting, and all in all healthy. I would easily recommend this place for a quick and affordable bite to eat where you don't have to compromise quality of ingredients.

1. Boloco is just The Wrap with a new, more vaguely authentic-sounding name. 2. The Wrap sucked heinously. Boloco does too, just with a new, more authentic-sounding name.

"We aren't perfect and would never claim to be." That's quite okay, Boloco, I love you anyway. I love your wide menu options that cater to vegans, carnivores, gluten free-ers. I love your naturally-raised meats and that you're Certified Green. But most of all, I love your Nutella Milkshake. And I strongly suggest that those of you who haven't tried it, do it now.

I'm one of those people that believe Anna's Taqueria burritos are god-like creations wrapped in a tortilla. Everything else is either crap or is a pretty good alternative. Boloco is a good alternative. This Natick Mall location is no different from any other Boloco location. It's clean and the staff is very friendly. The employees definitely look like High School kids that are trying to make some paper during Summer break, but they get the job done even if there are a bazillion people working the kitchen. The basic premise of the menu is that you get to choose a type of burrito (Teriyaki, Cajun, Buffalo, etc.) and a filling (Tofu, Grilled Chicken, Steak, etc.). I had the large Cajun Chicken burrito, which wasn't that much bigger from the regular. At $5.95, it was also somewhat pricy. But I guess that's what you get for "artisan" burritos. Overall the burrito was very good. The ingredients were very fresh, and they actually used quality meat. None of that government grade shit. My burrito was filled with rice, black beans, sour cream, and corn. The corn was especially good as it was seasoned, giving it a slightly sweet taste. It also passes the true test of a quality burrito by not falling apart. If you got to pick up a fork to eat a burrito, they either did something wrong or you suck. Since Boloco is opening up more and more locations around Boston, I'm sure I'll hit it up again. Just don't tell Anna's....
(4)Jenny N.
Boloco gets 3 stars because I didn't feel bloated after eating my burrito. And despite the silly name, the "summer burrito" is actually quite tasty. I enjoyed the fresh mango salsa, which was co-mingling with some tender steak bites. Yum. If nothing else, it's a good pre/post-shopping lunch spot--quick and easy.
(3)Zoe S.
Best burritos around. Many options and perfect size. On crowded days, though, they tend to rush and mess up your burrito.
(4)Annie C.
I love this place for lots of reasons. Delicious, different, quality ingredients, love the paintings, counter people friendly and efficient, I could go on and on. I'll just say that the milkshake smoothie (I think it's off the menu but they always know what I mean when I ask for it) with Nutella and banana is lovely.
(5)Greg M.
I got the Buffalo burrito, which is quite the unusual burrito. It tastes rather like a buffalo chicken wrap, but not in a bad way! They're currently on sale for a superbowl promotion, so try one out!
(4)Douglas S.
I'm always looking for fresh, well made and easy for lunch. These guys do it right with great stuff. I'm a fan.
(4)T T.
Got the order wrong. Rice wasn't cooked all the way. Blue cheese dressing was mayo. Will actually be calling to complain and hopefully get money back. Taco Bell would have been better (And for $10 bucks would have fed me for a week!)
(2)K M.
I've been waiting to try Boloco since I've worked in Wellesley for the past two and half years. Finally went there for the first time and it was great! I ordered the Cajun burrito, although it wasn't as spicy but it had a good kick to it. The chip and salsa, oh my gosh it's one of the best I've had plus it's only $1.50! Love it, definitely making a trip there when I stop by the mall!
(4)Katie O.
I like Calvin C, am an Anna's Taqueria fan and compare all burritos to theirs. Boloco falls very far short. The sizes are about half of what you get at Anna's for about a 1/3 more price. The flavoring was bland. Seating was limited, but they tried to make it seem trendy. The whole thing made it seem like they were trying way to hard to be the the cool place to hang out and forgot to focus on the food. I will not be going back.

I was a huge fan of the Wrap so of course I love Boloco (renamed and franchised version of it). People complain that the Burritos are small but honestly I've never eaten a large and not been full and I'm a big guy. Its great place and you really get to customize your burrito without potentially ruining it like you (or at least I) often do at the fresh city style places where I never really know what truly works together. I would recommend the Cajun with hot sauce and Guacamole as a good introduction. Indeed nothing here is sufficiently hot for me without hot sauce. I have a soft spot for the buffalo ... something about it just works. The summer is outstanding and quite different. Their tofu and chickens are all very good. There's a ton of options for how to build your burrito but the central recipes are a great base. I love their smoothies but can't finish off a smoothie and a large wrap without feeling obnoxious. There's some really excellent options when it comes to the smoothies even one (can't remember the name) where its basically a build your own. I think my favorite is the Jimmy Carter (peanut butter and banana) although its fairly heavy compared to the fruity options. Every time I am hungry and see a Boloco I stop, its simple as that.
(5)Matt E.
It's safe to say I'm a burrito fanatic, and this place has great burritos. The whole idea is that this is NOT authentic Mexican. The burritos are inspired from all sorts of cuisine (Thai, Cajun, Buffalo, etc.) and they're all pretty darn tasty. My favorite is their new one, the Yucatan, which includes pickled red onions and a habanero salsa. BRILLIANT! The one downside is that they recently discontinued their breakfast burritos (in Natick at least) and now my weekend morning errands are not nearly as exciting. I miss the Truckstop (egg, cheese, salsa, bacon, potatoes, beans).

Husband ordered the classic -- good. I ordered the Bangkok with grilled chicken... not so good. There were about, two minute pieces of chicken in that burrito. It is just stuffed with rice. Bland taste. Overpriced for the amount of meat/ingredients in there. Ordered chips and salsa. Almost dropped my jaw when I saw the chips were just packaged chips... was expecting at least a "semi-homemade" chips that were warm, in a basket, etc to enjoy. Salsa was good though-- fresh tomatoes and plenty of seasoning.

I concur with Nick B. This place is in NATICK, MASSACHUSETTS for God's Sake. Who comes here for authenticity? And are wraps or burritos served here? Definitely wraps, but that's ok. I will say, $5.25 for a small "Classic Burrito" with veggies (no joke, it's about a third of the size of a Gordo's burrito in San Francisco, but the same price) is a bit steep. Nonetheless, I like how they use fresh, organic ingredients, so we're probably paying for that too. I didn't try any of the smoothies or sides, but a lot of them looked tasty. I'd come back again for a wrap if I'm in town - why not?
(3)Eric B.
To start off with, this isn't authentic Mexican and -- as others have said -- it isn't Anna's. It's The Wrap with a new name. That said, it's not a bad place to grab quick takeout. The ingredients taste fresh, they don't skimp on the meat, and most importantly for me -- though this takes away from Mexican authenticity -- they have whole-wheat tortillas and brown rice if you ask for it. The "burritos" (I still say they're wraps unless you get the Original or Summer) are well-put-together and the service is efficient. Also -- the smoothies are pretty good too and it's easy to modify your order to avoid a lot of sugary crap in them. I won't downgrade it for lack of authenticity because it's not trying to be a Mexican taqueria. It's a wrap and smoothie place and it's much better than Fresh City. But it is priced a tad high for what you get. A small burrito is still a buck more than a super burrito would be at Anna's. But as someone else said, Anna's ain't comin' to Natick/Framingham, so deal with it.
(3)Roxanne B.
The menu offers a lot more variety than competing Chipolte and Qudoba. The Saturday night we stopped in they were not very crowded and the food was excellent. Not as many windows as Chipolte's restaurant, but the atmosphere is just fine for me.
(4)N Y.
Great burritos. The bangkok was my favorite but lately I like the big hunk of love, the summer, and the buffalo. For a different type of smoothie try the jimmy carter - it's delicious.
(5)h c.
MUCH better than qdoba, and maybe even better than chipotle. the service is great and so is the staff. i get the classic burrito and it is amazing.
(5)Rick B.
Surprising. Tofu Babcock Thai and strawberry shake.
(5)Robin G.
It's good for what it is, we enjoyed our food. However it's no Bueno Y Sano but then again I have yet to find any Mexican that stands up to it.
(3)Laura D.
I have been to Boloco many times as my fiancee works across the street. Of all the inexpensive burrito chains ( Qdoba, Anna's and Chipolte I'm talking to you) Boloco is my favorite. They have many different sauces and offer an all white meat option! Finally no more dark slimy meat on my burrito. I always order the buffalo chicken with white meat chicken and no celery and it is always great. They have plenty of meat, grain and veggie options. If you decide a healthy burrito is just too healthy you can get one of their crazy but deliciously yummy shakes!
(4)Jeremy K.
funny, i ate the same exact item over years latter and i didnt seem excited at all. on the up side i know now that i NEED chipotle tabasco brand on any burrito whatsoever. speaking of which there rice could use an kick up however they want to interpret that. dropped a star for just not doing it for me.
(3)Rishabh G.
Ok. So I went back and tried another burrito after the last one got me excited. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. I decided to go the traditional route and try the Mexican. Bad choice on my part. The rice was really sticky and under cooked with little to no flavor. The chicken was cooked ok, but didn't really add much flavor. The black beans were a little under cooked and really badly need some seasoning. It was a bland burrito. I was shocked. I asked them to make me a new one, which did have everything cooked much better, but still needed a lot of flavor. I was forced to just drop lots of spicy salsa to get it down my throat without having to feel like I was eating hospital food. My wife got the Tikka Masala burrito and it was good. So I guess maybe this option wasn't really for me. I will go back and give another burrito a shot and if it doesn't work out, I might just stick with the Tikka one, cause I really liked it.
(3)Matt K.
The Tikka Masala burrito was tasty.
(4)Mike B.
Boloco has great variety of flavors and burrito types. The bowls also provide a great gluten free option. This is one of the very few places where our entire family loves the food and experience. We love it.
(5)Meg H.
I drive 10 miles [pass Chipotle] out of my way to go to Boloco. I love the size of the burritos- theyre not so huge you can't move, and also not too small where you feel like it's a snack. The outside the box ingredints also set Boloco above Chipotle/Moes- teriakyi sauce mixed with guacamole? amazing. Ingredients all taste fresh and not too spicy (I'm a spice wimp). The Boloco card also does have its perks- free burrito on your bday, every $50 you spend, you get a free burrito/smoothie (only takes about 4-5 visits for me). I would give it another star if Boloco came to Marlborough- hint hint nod nod Boloco ;)

Let's face it, as a burrito-loving mammal, you have many choices in the Natick/Framingham area: Boloco, Chipolte, Fresh City, Big Fresh, Margaritas, etc. I've been to them all, and I keep coming back to Boloco. Mainly, it's because I can get almost whatever I want in my burrito. If they have it in stock, it can go in. Lots of choices of meats/proteins, TONS of veggie choices, more than once they've stuffed my burrito with more than any other place possibly would, and their wrapping technique is on par with the best burrito places. They have a great selection of burrito choices for beginners, like the Classic Mexican, the Ceasar, and the Tikka Masala, but the real gold is in their Goloco option. You pick anything and everything you want, they put it in, and you rejoice. Not everyone knows this, but you can also order a smoothie the same way. My current favorites: -Wheat wrap, chicken, brown rice, pinto, cilantro, steamed carrots, fajita veggies, mango salsa, teriyaki sauce, and guac. -Mango juice, mangos, bananas, strawberries, and yogurt. The place is clean, the staff is very friendly, the Boloco card is handy and non-intrusive, and the location has some nice charm. Order online or in person. Relevant: it's also next to Ben & Jerry's. Enjoy!
(5)Dee I.
If your used to Chipotle the ordering is a little different, you don't just point at what you want because the ingredients are out of sight, you have to order off the menu which I don't like, I'd rather see what they have so I don't forget to ask for something but the buffalo chicken burrito was good (and spicy ) and they have one of those new Coca Cola Freestyle Soda Fountain machines which is kool, and wasn't loud inside like Chipotle.
(4)Felipe R.
This place rules. Excellent food choice and combinations. Always fresh. I'm from the area and Boloco is WAY better than Chipotle or Moe's. The staff at this location is super friendly and they all know my name by now lol
(5)C M.
Complete Disappoint! I went to Boloco after almost a long time hoping to grab something good to eat. This was my first visit after the new items were added to the menu. At the counter and order for a tikka masala bowl. All he asked me was the size and type of meat I wanted (Did not offer any options for veggies). I assumed that I will be given veggies option when I move to the next counter (like Chipotle or Moe's). I was just asked to wait and the guy gave me my order with rice and tikka masala sauce with chicken pieces. I asked for veggies in my serving and guy at the counter said, "I do not get any veggies" and did not even try to help me here. I asked for salsa with my chips and I was asked to pay extra (so unlike other places). At least the counter guy who took order should have offered me salsa (even if it was extra). The worst part was, the "original bowl" was not even half filled with food. I left hungry from the place and had to get some more food after that. Man, hire better people to work and charge more money but don't be cheap. I so don't feel like going to Boloco again!

I am obsessed with Boloco. since being sadly separated from my burrito joint of choice, i have leaned heavily on Boloco to fill that gap. The burritos are inexpensive, fresh and delicious. I go here at least once a week for a quick lunch or dinner with boyf. my favorites tend to be The Bangkok Thai or The Buffalo. They are good at accommodating any special requests you have for your burrito. The Boloco card is also pretty nifty - once you accumulate 50 points ($1 spent=1 point), you can get ANY menu item for free. which means you can get an enormous burrito with all the trimmings for free. a few days ago i picked up lunch for me and the boyf and, with my free item, it cost a little over $7. This is a newer chain in the Boston area - i wish them the best of luck in their quest for burrito domination.
(4)Chris W.
This place is great. You can select from the menu or "walk the line" and point out what toppings you want. There are several sizes to choose from, and the burrito bowl is always a good option. One of my favorite combinations is teriyaki and sour cream - great on steak! No matter what you feel like eating, there is always a burrito to choose from that will satisfy you!
(4)Matt J.
We drove past here and decided to stop and grab a quick bite to eat. While it was quick, i was somewhat disappointed in it. While the selection is quite good, some did not quite make sense. We had a buffalo chicken, which we did not care for at all. Could have been too much of the sauce, but did not make a good burrito. The Thai was good as a bowl. One complaint was our order did not quite come out how we ordered it. We ordered a few bowls that ended up in burrito form (which we just opened up and ate the insides). As for price, it was decent, but i thought that the smaller burritos were a bit overpriced for what you got
(3)Jeff D.
I love Boloco. Heres why: I can get the same thing over and over again at Chipotle if I want, or I can come to Boloco where there are new additions frequently, they are willing to admit failure and change the menu around, and most important: The food tastes great. My personal favorite is the Terriaki but I just tried the Tikka Masala and am blown away. Anyways, not sure what the negatives are for, but I really enjoy Boloco.
(5)Wes J.
Update to my prior review (edited the old one as well). Didn't want it to sound like I was knocking Boloco for being very similar to Chipolte. Just an honest observation that anyone would have. Not to say Chipolte didn't take ques from other chains as well. Either way just wanted to emphasize the fact that the food, drink machine, portions etc were very good and I plan to return. I recommend everyone trying it out. For me the burritos were more manageable, prices better, and coke machines were big bonuses over Chipolte. I would be remiss to not want them to differentiate themselves more though as a brand but doesnt mean I'm knocking the business in anyway.
(4)Matthew N.
Boloco is the bonito boss!!
(4)Jenn H.
Boloco- I want to like you. I really do. So much so that after my last review, I went back the very next day. Only my Goloco was in a whole wheat tortilla, not the flour tortilla I asked for, and the steak was so chewy I picked most of it out, and there was no cheese.
(1)Elizabeth M.
Okay, so it isn't authentic Mexican. This is Natick we're talking about, so I don't know that your expectations should be so high. If you're looking for a good, fresh, healthy lunch, this place is perfect. It is always clean and the people there are nice and don't act like they hate their job, which is nice for a chain restauraunt. Basically you can either get one of the 10 or so pre-designed burritos or you can make your own. They also have salads and such. When i went there, I went for the "Goloco" (make-your-own): a whole wheat tortilla, the boloco rice, dark meat chicken, guacamole and "fajita veggies". It was very tasty - good rice to meat and veggie ratio, and the guac tasted fresh. The service was very fast and you can watch them make it, which I liked. Overall, I would probably go there again if I was in the neighborhood and wanted a good, filling lunch for around $9. If you're looking for legit Mexican cuisine, you should probably go somewhere else.
(4)Eugene D.
Good for American-style wraps (rather than true burritos).
(2)Julie N.
Love it here. Great selection of fresh ingredients that I can mix and match in advance online to create a tasty healthy treat! Plus they have the new coke machine which is fun.
(5)Alexis J.
I can't tell you how many times I glared critically in to the windows of Boloco as I passed by on my constant trips to The Container Store. I wondered, how can this place possibly offer anything different than Chipotle or even Fresh City? Yesterday I stopped glaring and finally went inside. While it looks pretty much the same as Chipotle, Boloco mixes it up just a bit. I liked that you could select the flavor of your burrito... from buffalo to peanut Thai... and then select what goes inside. My boyfriend and I both had the Thai burrito with tofu. It was good, the ingredients tasted fresh. Fair prices, fast, and easy. And, yay! Organic options too! I agree with the others, it isn't a Mexican restaurant, just a fast food burrito joint - nothing more should be expected.
(3)John O.
I liked that they had a pre-built burritos on the menu and decided to try one. The steak was dry and underseasoned, they did not put nearly enough sour cream, and was overloaded with rice. All in all this burrito was edible, but there are far better places to get a burrito.
(2)Ryan C.
OK, but lacking on the meat. You can do better nearby.
(3)Nick B.
Ehh who cares about the authenticity really. It tastes good and isn't nearly as stressful as Anna's. I personally don't think Anna's is super authentic either - I mean come on we live in Massachusetts so what do you expect. If it was Guadalajara then I would expect something closer to real Mexican cuisine. Anyways, the food was good per usual and on par with other Bolocos. The service here was lacking. It doesnt even come close to the efficiency of the Boston ones.
