Just have to update this review after we received the absolute best customer service at Dave's last week. We called to place a take out order, which is something we do regularly since we work close by. When my colleague went to pick up the order she paid and left, but on her way back she looked in the bag and noticed that four out of the five items we had ordered with a special request had not been completed correctly. Needless to say this was not the first time our take out order has been messed up but we normally don't say anything; however this time, she called back to let them know she wasn't thrilled that they had missed up again. Not only did they apologize profusely and offer to correct the order, they gave her a tip on how to order with our special request the next time so this hopefully never happens again AND comped our entire meal (even the fifth item that had been made correctly). I love Dave's and we will continue to be loyal visitors. I just cannot say enough about their commitment to excellence!

Definitely a family favorite! My family and I have been going here since I was 3 (I'm 18 now) Service is always great and the food is always good. Needless to say the execution of 50s diner decor is the best I've seen; ever. Good eats, good memories, and good times.

We have been to Daves for breakfast twice, and to be honest, when I love a place as much as I did Dave's I am almost afraid to go back because if it isn't as good it almost seems like more of a let down. I didn't need to worry, second time at Dave's was just as good, if not better, than the first. The sausages are so good, and the homemade hash is amazing! I haven't had one thing that I have been disappointed in. The decor is great, fits in perfectly with the whole atmosphere. Service is on point, friendly and fast. I can't think of a bad thing to say!

Dave's Diner lives by "good service is just as important as good food". They have both down. I've never been to a restaurant where the waitresses were all very pleasant, attentitive and happy! The egg's benedict, bloody mary's, pancakes, homefries, eggs and bacon were delicious. Needless to say, this was our first time at Dave's Diner and this will be our new breakfast/lunch spot going forward!
(5)Wendy M.
Great breakfast! Great service! My favorite breakfast around.
(4)Daniel W.
What a classic breakfast place. Everyone loved the food and atmosphere of the place. My wife said that the Elvis pancakes were phenomenal. I had an omelette and one of the fresh corn muffins (I was in love) I will be defiantly going back.
(5)Moira S.
This place was a delight. The service was friendly an efficient. The food was excellent diner fare. The classic diner is well maintained and clean. This was a great place to stop for breakfast after coming over the bridge from the Cape.
(5)Karen G.
What a fun and friendly place! My daughter and I had breakfast here on a weekday around 830 am . It was busy , not quite full, with a mix of families, couples and single diners. Service was top notch. My daughter had an omelette, I had a waffle. Both were tasty with ample portions for the price. The real star here is the diner itself, sparkling in the morning sun with its gleaming metal, glossy red Naugahyde booths, and classic checkerboard floor. The walls are decorated with vintage signs and photographs, so there's lots to look at . I hope I'll have a chance to stop in again for lunch or dinner
(5)Michelle C.
Fun old school diner with all the shiny metal! Love the decor! Saturday morning breakfast and the place was hoppin. You have to wait in line for a table, there's no wait list. The line moved pretty fast, we waited approx 15 minutes. As soon as we were seated, the waitresses swooped in with coffee, silverware, mugs, etc. the coffee wasn't that great, but I liked the big mugs. Food came pretty quickly,....wasn't blown away., but it was hot and the pancake was nice and fluffy.

Love Dave's Diner! Breakfast, lunch, & dinner is awesome there! I always split the hungry Harry with my husband. They have great prices as well as great service.
(5)Kerry N.
Birthday lunch at Dave's Diner!! Wow what a menu! Something for everyone! We started with nachos with cheese, japalenos, bacon, fresh salsa and sour cream! The salsa was fresh with big chunks of tomato and onion , it had a great spicy kick! And fried pickles (don't judge its my 50th Birthday ) . The pickles were hot and yummy !! I had the Lobster Roll which was served with a cup of clam chowder, Cole slaw, and onion rings. The lobster salad was fantastic! ! Big chunks of lobster tail! Very little mayo on a bed of lettuce served on a grilled bun..very yummy!! The chowder was thick and creamy, loaded with clams and served piping hot ...just the way I like it! My sister had a buffalo chicken salad...loaded with blue cheese, served over a bed of fresh greens...it was HUGE! A fantastic meal reasonably priced. Fun and friendly atmosphere. We will return here soon!!
(5)Marlena P.
Awesome diner food. Got the Hungry Harry with added bananas to my 2 pancakes. As much as I tried I couldn't finish it. It was very good :) My mom got the Blue Suede Shoes burger with sweet potato tater tots. She loved it and is still talking about it. The tater tots were delicious as well. My sister got a omelet w/ a bagel. We both ended up getting a lime ricky. It was good but we've had better. Wanted to try the Peach Princess. Its got Champagne, Peach Schnapps, Grenadine, and some sort of soda in it... idk. It was...ehhh Overall we had practically had to be rolled out the door we were so full.

The service was friendly but a little slow. Our waitress was overworked but had great personality. I ordered Eggs Benedict as I had been craving it for a long time. This place did it great. Generally authentic comes with capers which I don't like and forgot to request their removal so I was pleased when they weren't included.
(4)John C.
Great service from the start. Showed up around 8:00pm on friday night and got seated right away. Waitress was very attentive and took our drink order right away. I had the steak Tips and Shrimp it was fantastic. My picky wife ordered a Chicken Sandwhich and she loved it. Looking forward to trying there breakfast one day.
(4)Maureen J.
Love this place! Great food and value for money. Love the menu, all the usual things plus home style food like meatloaf, fried chicken and hot turkey sandwich. Decor is charming, service fast and friendly. Easy off and on from the highway. Wish it were closer to home!
(5)Bailey K.
Dave's diner offered a nice variety of brunch foods. The pancakes are perfectly sweetened and delicious. I had the Cobb Salad - huge helpings and no need for dressing it was so flavorful. The only downside is that before noon you can't get the whole menu (no chicken pot pie or anything with gravy), which they didn't specify on the menu.
(4)Kathleen S.
Excellent food, fast and super customer service! A charming diner! We will make this an annual tradition when leaving cape cod for home! Loved the pastrami hash and eggs Benedict !
(5)Marla L.
Good, stopped for dinner. Omelette was quite good, good coffee and hash browns very good, BUT husband's Reuben a big disappointment. Meat dried out, too tough to chew. So avoid that.
(3)Nana C.
When we drove up to Dave's diner I thought "this place is too good to be true". The diner looks like it was transported from the fifties. Fried haddock sandwich was delicious! The baked beans were a perfect complement. Fried chicken is their specialty. It doesn't disappoint. Chicken croquettes looked just like the ones Mom used to make. Green beans were cooked to perfection, not mushy like some diner food. Chicken Parm portion is huge. The hot dog could feed two children. Desserts looked delicious, but we couldn't eat another thing. Will return for coffee and dessert.
(5)Jeff C.
Breakfast doesn't get any better. Great staff and great food. Get there early on the weekends.
(5)Don V.
You cannot go wrong at Dave's. The food AND service are excellent. We are on our way now to enjoy another great dinner. We hope he has some fresh fish left from today's catch.
(3)Kahni B.
Great burgers!!! The high quality of the meat they use is obvious! We usually go on weekends when it can be quite busy. We've started calling ahead for pick-up which we love!! I get their "blue suede shoes," which is a blue cheese burger. It's awesome! My husband likes his more traditional burger. Oh, and their onion rings!! I would give them five stars if it weren't for the wait.
(4)Tiffany M.
Best pancakes I've ever had and holy cow the portion are huge. And the service is great too :) Love this place
(5)Kayla B.
Decided to give this place a try after seeing it on Phantom Gourmet. The food is great. It's the kind of place that has everything you can imagine. I will order something different every time. They have some interesting drinks too, though it was too early to order them. Lol.
(5)VC V.
Love the 50's decor and the music to go with it. Lots of things to look at on the walls. I started off with a Swedish Fish martini, which seemed a little weak to me. Abner got a White Russian and we split a cup of chili. Very meaty with lots of cheese and onions on top. A friend recommended that I try the fried chicken, so that's what I go tonight. I got the 4 piece one, so that Abner could try it. The chicken was delicious. It came with mashed potatoes, cole slaw and bisquit and some gravy. (I didn't care for the gravy so much), but everything else was good. Abner got some open faced meatloaf sandwich. He said he liked it, but I tried it and I thought it had a clove-like flavor or some kind of spice in it that I didn't care for. He said it grew on him. For dessert, we tried the chocolate cake. Not very good. For some reason, the frosting tasted salty. I saw some burgers going by our table and those looked delicious. Will try that next time.
(3)Kate S.
Dave's is a great little dinner. The people there are nice and joke around with you. I always try something new there.
(4)Justin M.
I used to love this place. I don't live in the area but my girlfriend does so I would look at it as a treat whenever I stayed down there. A few years ago their breakfast menu was bigger and had variety and better food. Now...it doesn't! The homefries are just greasy and grilled nastiness, the eggs are always slightly over cooked, the toast is well toast and the coffee is average. Blueberry pancakes are a different story, large, fluffy, cakey, delicious. Except when I go out I don't want to have to eat pancakes in order to enjoy my meal. The ambiance is great with an old time feel, the service is impeccable, my only complaint is the shortening of the breakfast menu and the average quality of food. Will I still go? Yes! Will I always be happy about going (not always my choice) No! I just want the biscuits and gravy to come back. When they run them on specials its just not as good when they were on the actual menu.
(3)josie c.
Went to Dave's for a late breakfast and ended up having lunch. We both had wraps and they were delicious! Generous portions and fresh ingredients. The fries are done perfect there as well. Everyone from the host to our waitress were friendly and attentive. Great place!
(5)Mike S.
Staff was friendly and even though there was a long line (Sunday morning), the wait was less than 5 minutes. The hash eggs Benedict isn't on the menu but was awesome.
(5)Sarah P.
First time here, we are from California and we were heading to Salem when we got hungry ran into this gem and man! Waitress we had was fast and super nice! Food was amazing we both had the hash! I'll be back in May and can't wait! In and out in 25 mins!
(5)Ray Y.
I love the outdoor seating on a nice evening. The group had the steak-tips, burger and fried chicken. My conclusion is that if you have a hankering for fried chicken you should have no other destination in mind if you are within 30 minutes of this place. WOW. Haven't had some of the other comfort foods but would try and avoid the tips and burgers - 'cuz they were below average. Had breakfast here once. Anyone can do eggs easy-over so I thought I'd try the hash. It's homemade and really, really good. The home-fries were also quite good. Three stars for dinner and four for breakfast. Till my next visit I'm rounding down.
(3)Elena P.
Meatloaf & Mashed potatoes were so good. Can't wait to go back so I can try the chicken pot pie. Went with a group of four and everyone was happy
(5)Kelly B.
Burgers were great, Caesar salad was good as well. Service was quick and friendly. Good joint for some home cookin! Oh, and chocolate shake was delicious. Our family of 5 devoured it in less than 2 minutes.
(4)Nicole K.
Excellent corn beef hash defiantly homemade better than Perseus and they were quick today
(5)Justin D.
The food and service were great but some of the dishes are a little over priced. Don't come here looking for Diner prices as you won't find them. Overall they are accommodating to larger parties and the waitresses are quick and friendly.
(4)Kimberly L.
Classic diner - tin ceiling, stainless steel exterior and lots of vintage memorabilia inside. Oh, and the foods great. Get the special, whatever it is!
(5)Glen C.
One of the best breakfast places I have found. The servers were excellent .Very large portions .You sometimes have to wait in line but well worth the wait. A+
(5)Lindsey C.
Honestly, I love Dave's Diner. From the checkerboard floors to the silver screen stars that know the walls, the ambiance is top notch. The classic diner feel is matched with cleanliness and modernity. Onto the food: today I had the hash and eggs breakfast. The corned beef hash is homemade, so that's a huge plus. I won't order hash anywhere unless it's homemade. The homefries are perfect- just the right ratios of crispy and soft with really delicious seasonings. My eggs were perfect too. The toast was alright, but who focuses on toast anyways? I recommend the Elvis pancakes, too, if you're craving something sweet. Those are just exceptional. Overall 5 stars. Service is great, good is great, charm is on point.
(5)David G.
A great meal here. I had the chicken pot pie, wonderfully done with mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. My mother had the meat loaf which was complete with mashed potatoes and brocolli, there was also a roll with it. The roll wasn't all that good, she wished they offered the homemade biscuits they make here. Otherwise, a solid meal and excellent service.

I have been to Dave's Diner twice now and ordered it once for lunch from work. All three times have been great. Upon receiving numerous recommendations for Dave's, we decided to grab breakfast there. The first time we went, we went on a Sunday so the lines were long, but moved quickly. The menu had a decent variety with reasonable prices and the food came quickly. We ordered one of the specials and an egg and cheese bagel with a side of breakfast potatoes. Often times, when ordering a grilled bagel, it is fried with a lot of butter and can be rather greasy. This was not the case, however. Both the special and bagel combination were delicious, as was the coffee. The second time I went I went early in the morning and tried a western omelet and a pancake. Once again, it was delightful and the service was great. The waitresses are friendly and offer frequent coffee refills, which is great because it's really delicious. I've even considered asking where they get their grounds from. Today, when I had Dave's for lunch, it was my first time having anything aside from breakfast. I ordered The Bird with a side of their homemade fries. Yet again, it was really good. I did not need to make any alterations. The dressing really complimented the burger and was the right amount. The veggies were really fresh and I enjoyed the turkey's texture and seasoning. The fries had a nice crisp to them, as well. All in all, I've enjoyed each experience with Dave's Diner. If you happen to be in the area, they are worth scoping out.
(5)Dave O.
I have eaten here on two different occasions and both were fabulous. Most recently I was accompanied by my family which includes my fussy eater son. Really high quality, fresh diner fare and friendly service. The menu was more creative than your standard diner and was reasonably priced. The location is not far from Rte's 44 and 95 and is a much better choice than any of the other "chain type" options. A+
(5)Kristy C.
Nice place to eat - never had a long wait. Service and food were excellent and I look forward to returning.
(4)Erin M.
I love this place! Everything I have had been good. I suggested this place for recovery breakfast after NYE. We got there at 11 and there surprisingly wasn't a wait though it started to get crowded at 11:30/12ish. I went all out and got the huge breakfast, chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, home fries.. the works. It was delicious!! Everyone was really happy with theirs. I like how they use real maple syrup for pancakes. The Bloody Mary's are also excellent. It come with celery, a toothpick full of olive, pickle, pepperoni and a cube of pepper jack cheese. Breakfast is cheap and quick!
(5)Mallory B.
My girlfriend and I have made it our Sunday morning tradition to head to Dave's half-asleep for a nice, greasy breakfast. And coffee. Everything I've gotten from here has been delicious. There's been a wait every morning that we've gone, but it moves pretty quickly. AND while you're waiting to be seated, why not take a gander at the breakfast specials written on the chalkboard above the bar?! I've gotten the rotary sandwich a couple of times, which is just your basic egg, meat, cheese sandwich on your choice of toast, bagel or english muffin. This morning I got an omelette with mushroom, linguica and onion that was yummy. I always have to go with a grilled bagel on the side, too. I don't know what it is about grilled bagels, man. The breakfast menu is pretty expansive, so everyone can find something. My only complaint about the food is the home fries. They're just not for me. I like my home fries more well-done than Dave's does them, but that's just my personal preference so I can't say that they're bad. The service is great, your waitress will constantly be checking up on you and refilling your coffee for you. Whether you ask for a refill or not. We went here for dinner once. We both got burgers that were pretty good, but I don't like to tarnish my breakfast place by going there for other meals. It doesn't feel right. Overall, Dave's provides you with a really cool old-fashioned diner atmosphere, great service, and top notch breakfast food. You should go.
(5)Ashley A.
Love! Daves is a Sunday breakfast staple! Never had a bad time. We have been for lunch and dinner, but having breakfast is our favorite thing to eat there
(4)G K.
i'm so glad i found a great diner near my house. The breakfast was really good...nothing fancy...just great traditional new england breakfast. I'd give it a 4 stars....but what really puts this place over the top is that the owner or some family member is always there making sure the quality is good. It seems like a great family run restaurant and it shows in the service and food.
(5)Dave J.
This place is great! Honestly, everything they make feels like a home cooked meal. I highly recommend the Fried Chicken, it's delicious and very flavorful. It puts KFC to shame. Plus, you can get breakfast 24-7. Can't beat that!
(5)Lyndsey F.
I was told to try the mashed potatoes and fried chicken and also that the burgers were delicious. I ordered a burger well done with mashed potatoes on the side. Mine was perfect! My friend ordered the same thing with onion rings and she got French fries and a pink burger. I was glad she got the fries as they were so good as well. The burger they tossed back on the grill to her satisfaction. Everything was so good and the staff was super friendly!
(5)Maryan P.
It's a diner with a great diner atmosphere. Cute bar area with stools. If you go to a diner, plan on gaining 5 pounds. The food options are good but the choices we usually make our heavy. I ordered a special - it was refried beans with salsa and eggs - oh my, it was awesome. My better half got Elvis pancakes which was pancakes with peanut butter and chocolate chips - oh ya, he brought half home. Every once in a while you've got to eat diner food. It is fun and worth the 5 pounds you will gain.
(4)Jill G.
Yummy !!!! Homemade meatloaf, chicken pot pie and apple pie. Pleasant , efficient service. Cool music and atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
(5)Notso H.
Just wanted to say I've only tried the breakfast menu here but it was very good. They would have gotten 5 stars if the coffee cup didnt go empty which it did twice! Breakfast places got to know keep at least asking if they want it topped off. I find that many places over salt, season and color up their homefries, the homefires were decent here. Everything was fresh and hot and the service was pretty good too. You can tell they are doing it right there is a crowd there and many are probably regulars.
(4)Sally C.
ate there three times, while visiting our son. Each time the food was great, wonderful thick chowder, great breakfast, great fish, the wraps seem to be very popular. you can eat there everyday of the week and not have the same food. If you are in Middleboro don't hesitate to give it a try.
(4)R A.
Dave's rules. I've been here three times in about a month. I've ordered the eggs benedict with hash (highly recommended) and I've ordered the turkey club twice. It comes plain so be sure to ask for mayo on it if you like it that way! I also ordered a chocolate frappe last time and everything here is always great. My partners meals have also been delicious, the banana pancakes (bigger than your head), the tuna melt (impressive on an oversized English muffin and stuffed to capacity w tuna), and a meal of toast, eggs, bacon and home fries. Literally everything we've ordered all three visits has been delicious. The portions and quality are great. The atmosphere is fun. There's always good music playing and the staff are always helpful and happy. The service is great and if you do have to wait for a table, they get through the line in about 10-15 minutes. Go here!
(5)Jim H.
RIDICULOUS fried chicken, eat-in or take out by the box (with a la carte sides). Biscuits so buttery. Blueberry pancakes the morning before were the size of hubcaps, with what looked like 2 cups of fruit in the 3 cakes. Real foamy draft root beer. Simply, an amazing two meals.
(4)Tracey M.
I have eaten here once, and I will go back if I am anywhere in the areA. My friend and I had the Tuna Melt and a salad. Both were Prepared and presented in a way that made us wish we were in the area more often. Special care to the flavor. The presentation and atmosphere of the place itself are also great, and it is Located in an open area with good Parking. Worth the drive out of my way, I will be back!
(5)Lauren G.
I'm not familiar with the area, but was brought here by my college roommate who lives in Raynham. Her first suggestion was the Elvis pancakes, which she shamelessly orders every time. I opted for the King Kong waffles instead - equally awesome and bad for you! The prices were very reasonable, the atmosphere was adorable (50s diner-esque) and the service was very personable. I feel like this was a place that is home to a lot of "locals", and the people who were working there were extremely friendly because of it. The menu was full of all things that sounded delicious, and I would love the go back and try everything else.
(4)Kendra W.
Solid breakfast joint. We haven't been there yet for other meals so can't judge them. Breakfast is great though! They have homemade hash that is out of this world! We love their pancakes (huge, fluffyand warmed syrup). Make sure once you are ready to head out to ask for a cup of Joe to go! We love that they offer that since for $2 a cup you should get a good amount.
(4)Lizz W.
This place looks like the coolest diner ever! The service is good, the food comes out fast and the location is convenient! I've been going here for years and have no complaints. As far as breakfast in Middleboro goes, it's definitely Top 3.
(4)Austrae H.
I have been a vegetarian for six years. When I ask for a veggie burger and it's screwed up with a meat patty instead, it's a big deal. I was very excited to eat at Dave's for the first time because I had never been to a diner before. What a disappointment. Instead I got food posioning because my body hasn't digested meat in so long. After a panic attack, I had to leave my lunch party with a sickly stomach. I would absolutely not recommend this diner.
(1)The I.
Food was bland and greasy. We were hoping for better based on the reviews. Went to Percy's yesterday and it was way better.
(1)Jim C.
I had been here once a few years ago but was not impressed but for some reason while passing by the other night I stopped in again on a Monday night. This looks like an old time diner but, according to the menu was manufactured in Fla in 1995. I sat at the counter and was promptly greeted. I saw that they had beer on tap as well as their own root beer but i settled for an Iced Tea. The menu was a decent size but nothing like a NJ diner. I settled on a handmade burger with fresh cut fries. The burger was called Blue Suede shoes and had Bleu cheese crumbles and bacon slices on it. I asked for it Medium Rare and it was cooked perfectly. The burger was a decent size and was delicious. There were a ton of fries and they were perfectly cooked. Service was friendly and prompt. I will be back!
(4)Ray M.
Great service worth stopping
(4)Ernest S.
Love the 50's diner look and feel. The breakfast portions are large and priced fairly.
(3)Kate C.
I'm not one for the diner scene. The fifties decor, the checkered tile, the aroma of stale coffee... Usually makes me think of dirty old places. Putting my assumptions aside, The Girlfriend and I tried Dave's for breakfast one morning. Amazing. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was put together perfectly. The egg wasn't too runny, it wasn't too greasy. Best of all- it comes with those nicely seasoned old-fashioned home fries that you grew up with. When I walked through the door they had a freshly baked tray of big blueberry muffins sitting behind the counter. I couldn't leave without ordering one of them too. The muffins are big, served grilled, toasted or however you want them and are truly moist and delicious. The place does have that fifties diner feel, and it is the LAST one of its kind around here. But it never once seemed dirty or old to me. Everything was clean and shiny. The number of breakfast options it offers is insane. It includes things from linguica to malted waffles to breakfast wraps that look gigantic and amazing. Everything is customizable, they feature build your own wraps, omelets, and one-skillet dishes. Deciding that we loved breakfast there we vowed to go back for dinner. This time we tried their burgers. While the dinner options are less abundant they are just as good. My Wagon Train burger came with nicely golden onion rings, and a bourbon barbecue sauce that was unlike any I have ever had. Her "Burger of the Day" was something with provolone, mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce that she said was "one of the best burgers she's ever had." All in all: this is THE place for breakfast if you're around here, and if you're looking for a good burger (or fried clams in December that I had the pleasure of noticing) you might as well stop here too. (If you're going for breakfast: go late, the place is packed. And for god sakes get a muffin on the side.)
(4)Carrie P.
Every time we eat here everything is amazing! I love the mini bumps fried chicken and their taco salad. When they have peanut butter pie that is my #1 choice
(4)Bethany B.
I have been going to Dave's Diner for many years now. By far my favorite breakfast spot. Never had a bad meal here. Servers are always very friendly and it doesn't take a long time to get your food. Highly recommend trying this place out!!!
(5)Winston S.
Built the year we move to Middleborough 1997. The first restaurant we took Thomas he arrived in 1997 too! Always great food, whether for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The have Tapioca Pudding a desert from my childhood. Fish Chips are excellent. Never ever had bad meal there.
(5)Peter B.
The owner of Dave's Diner is a local who consistently produces quality restaurants and provides excellent service through his selected employees. They have a killer breakfast menu with affordable prices. Lunch/dinner options may be a little bit on the bland side, so be aware of this when making your meal selection. If ordering a salad wrap, as I often do, you need to request they heat the chicken or else it will come cold (not my thing). Overall a great local treasure.
(5)Matt S.
I'm from New Jersey, the home of diners, so I feel like I should know my stuff when it comes to diners. I have had relatives living in the MIddleboro and Taunton area for years, but this was the only time we were able to actually get away from family dinners and try a restaurant. A diner near-by? Yep. I'm there. Dave's Diner is a retro looking place with a huge menu plus specials, which must change daily since they use a white board above the stool seating. I chose to have the Corn Chowder with the Chicken Salad wrap, which both were delicious. My total bill came out to $9. How can I complain about that! The cup of corn chowder was really thick, giving me no reason to feel like I needed a bowl. Then the chicken salad wrap needed a slice of cheese and maybe a little more lettuce, but it was already on a whole wheat wrap, and was quite large. Since I have plans to visit some family in December in Middleboro and Peabody, I will also plan a visit to Dave's Diner for some brunch as well. It's really a can't miss in an area with not so many restaurants.
(4)Andrew B.
Anything goes and this diner. what such a friendly staff anything tastes Good
(4)Grant R.
Real food while traveling is so had to find. I feel a bit sad for the other restaurants because im eating every meal here on this trip.
(5)Sage L.
I'd like to think of myself as a brunch connoisseur an this place is definitely one of my new favorites. Great options, great menu names, a wider selection than most places for vegetarians. The atmosphere is classic and clean cut. Definitely coming here again, and bringing my grandparents!
(5)Adam K.
Dave's Diner is 99% of the time pretty bomb. Killer menu full of tasty home style dishes....lots of fried goodness, retro atmosphere, and comfy red sparkling old school booths make this place a definite stop on the Yelpers long list. Holla.
(4)Davy C.
After moving here from NJ we were looking for a good local diner. Dave's Diner is one of our favorite local places. The prices are reasonable and their specials are good and fresh. The menu has a wide selection for a variety of tastes. The waitresses are pleasent, accommodating and friendly.

Got to try out Dave's over Memorial Day weekend while camping up the street. Love the interior decor, very retro, very cool! Had breakfast with the husband and we both loved it. Eggs, home fries, crispy bacon, great coffee. That's all I want in a diner breakfast and I got it. Service was fast and friendly. Just enough time to read over the menu so I know I'm going back for dinner when we camp nearby again this October. Five stars.

Great breakfast....great price....awesome service! Thank you!
(4)Mark P.
The BEST fried chicken I have EVER had! You have to try it! The breakfast featured are so good and huge portions. Had the scrambled Manny with eggs scrambled, cheese, Linguica, home fries. Just delicious! A fifties-sixties authentic diner! Well worth the trip!

A recent first trip to Dave's - discovered unintentionally - was no mistake. While it's now not immediately available to me to return to, I hope to. Clean, good menu, good service. I ordered a burger, someone else with me ordered the meatloaf and at that point I felt cheated. I should have got the meatloaf too. That said, the black & bleu burger was good. Cooked just right. Meal was finished off with a sundae. I tried to fight it off, but I couldn't. Unsure if I'd ever be back, I thought I would consume as much as my stomach could take. The sundae was worth it, when compared to some chain restaurants that fill a dish with about 70% hot fudge, there seemed to be more ice cream than not. One thing I kept asking myself was, "Did they fold up a Denny's and put a new name out front?". Anybody with that answer? It doesn't matter as much as hoping that Dave's is still there when I'm around again.
(4)Ashley L.
Went to Dave's diner for the first time on Sat. The food was tasty esp the homefries. The service was quick and the prices were reasonable. I love the decor and will def be back. The only serve a limited menu past 11 for breakfast so be prepared for that!
(4)Emma S.
Very friendly staff, good coffee and hot chocolate. Other than that, the food was average. Still, the food is probably the best you'll find in the area. Middleboro isn't exactly a haven for good food.
(3)Richard D.
Consistently great. Enough said.
(5)Edward C.
I love their fried chicken, but we usually go for breakfast. Good food at great prices.
(4)Ronald T.
As was mentiond in othere revews food is ok, I enjoed my meatlof but the wife thought the berger was like a hocky puck. r0n........
(3)Bill W.
OK, gave this place a second try for lunch with co-workers. Pretty much the same experience.....great service, cool atmosphere, but the food was just average. I had a cup of soup and a grilled cheese with french fries. It was just OK - nothing to rave about. The fries were a little under par and I am still tasting them as I write this review! This place does not justify any praise but it will do in a pinch.
(2)Sheri L.
Will have to come back and try more. Was good, comfort food. They have beer, a plus!!
(3)Jennifer B.
The food was delish! If the prices were a bit cheaper, I would have given it a 5. The staff is wonderful and so are the hash browns!
(4)Brendan M.
Dave's diner is a cool classic diner with good food and prices. I go primarily for breakfast and have never been disappointed. Their early-bird specials (until 8:30 a.m.) are a great deal and the biscuits and gravy are the best I've found in Eastern MA. Waitresses are always friendly and the coffee is always hot. Definitely a regular breakfast spot.
(4)Steve B.
Definite recommendation for American diner cuisine. We had their chicken pot pie, burgers, and soups - all good. Very traditional, well prepared, generous proportions, and reasonably priced. Root beer was good as well.
(4)Mark J.
Dave's Diner was great! The fried chicken dinner was great tasting and came out very quickly! The service was terrific, very friendly staff ! The prices are amazing for the amount you get. We are planning to go back again and again!
(5)Julie k.
The best corn beef hash ever!! also, the ham is super thick like in the intro for Dexter. mmmmm really goood cooomforting breaaakfast.
(4)Paul T.
A Flash to the past! So refreshing to eat in such a nostalgic way. Complete with a shiny metal finish to the exterior, to 50-60's music playing in the background, to ole fashion diner like seats at the counter, to booths along the windows. People travel far and often to this place. I know several travelers that come from Boston just to enjoy this place as the treasure that it is to Middleboro. The staff is very friendly and the service is equally as good. If you have never been here before, it is the place to try. THE FOOD IS OUTSTANDING ! I have not ordered anything I did not thoroughly enjoy. The fish 'n' chips and the fried chicken are among the best. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. Don't be disappointed if you have to wait in line. The lines move quickly and it will be worth the wait.
(4)Michael M.
I came here expecting it to just be ok, but I was very surprised about how well the food came out. The home-fries were some of the best I've eaten in awhile, eggs weren't anything too special, but the chocolate pancakes were great. Service was very good also. Their is some good competition on this street, and it seems to me that this might be the clear cut winner. Everyone else who has reviewed this place also claims that this is the best breakfast place in the area. I can't remember the last time I've had such a good breakfast for under $10.
(5)Kate G.
We had breakfast, the food was good and the price was right! I will definitely be going back and try lunch! Great atmosphere! Quick & friendly service!
(4)Pauli S.
The coffee was good, the pancakes were good and the fries were great. What more could you ask for? I had the buffalo chicken wrap which was also really yummy. It was a perfect quick stop on the way to Edaville.
(5)Erna r.
Crowded most of the time. But otherwise, good! I liked my food, they got it out fast, nice staff...., It's a DINER! Head and shoulders above Persy's around the corner....
(4)Janine C.
Spent a rainy morning here for breakfast. Food was tasty, pretty heavy, but that's to be expected from diner fare I think. Love the decor, good service, pretty decent coffee.
(3)Maryann C.
Best breakfast ever friendly yummy great corn beef hash and loaded omlets
(5)Josh M.
This place is amazing! I love the classic atmosphere, the neat decor, the waitstaff and the food. It a win all over. The waitstaff are always fun and friendly and not afraid to chat if promted. The food is amazing, breakfast, lunch and dinner! Take your friend sout have a couple beers and dinner or take the family kids seems to have a blast here too.
(5)Kristopher B.
I've been going to the diner every Sunday for the past several years for breakfast and for the money the food is always good. The wait staff is very friendly and perfect for a diner. The one issue I have with Dave's is that it's the only diner I have ever been to that couldn't make decent home fries. They're either under cooked or mushy. They are never seasoned right or crunchy. They should probably just give up on them and go with hash browns.
(5)Scott Y.
I came in here to grab breakfast before heading to the Patriots / Ravens game. I was pleased with my breakfast, although the home fries could have been a little less bland.
(3)Anita E.
Love the style and the food was good for the price. Plus its not too far either.
(4)Eric T.
Dave's Diner is nothing special. The staff treats their regulars well, but if you're just passing through they aren't very attentive to you. The breakfast food is just average too. What let me down the most is the home fries. That is what sets apart a diner breakfast from the competition. Their fries are more like little soft cubes instead of the crispy triangles I like. I am not a home fry expert, but it seems like the par boil them a little to long, then just give them a little crispiness on the frying pan. The eggs range from simple, fried and scrambled eggs up to omelets like the Buffalo chicken and blue cheese filled one I had today. So they get added points for having some different options, but they aren't over the top like Percy's up the street. Dave's isn't great, but it's one of the better choices for food in Middleboro. So if you're stuck there it's your best bet.
(3)Robert H.
Good food! Really cool dinner!!!
(4)Kenny P.
Hands down this is the best diner in the state . Home made fries and onion rings along with fresh ground beef for the burger . This place rocks .
(5)Diana G.
Dave's is the coolest diner I have ever been to in the state. They are open 7 days a week, they serve great food, and there are also a lot of desserts to choose from! They also serve excellent breakfast! The menu is fun with all the favourites of the 50's, but they also have traditional meals, as well. I usually get 'The Bird' -an oversized turkey burger - with fries and a shake! I also went on St. Patty's Day once for the traditional Corned Beef, and it was tasty! If you're in the area I highly recommend this place anytime of the day. Also, if you're interested, they have great car shows in the summer on Thursday nights! Bring the kids! :D
(5)Anna F.
Dave's Diner is a cute little restaurant inside of what appears to be an oversized Airstream Camper. The walls are decorated with everything from Gold Records to old car advertisements. There is even a jukebox for all your music needs! The food is very homey, and almost everything is made fresh on site. This is one diner where the food isn't super greasy, just yummy. I suggest the burgers and the buffalo chicken. The chicken has a lot more flavor than most I have encountered.
(5)Kathleen J.
Definitely worth stopping by on your drive-abouts in south mass. Very friendly people, cushy seating (if in a booth), 50's decor (complete with an old cigarette ad in the bathroom), and great food for the price (roughly $8-$9 for a burger, $7 for a sandwich or a wrap). Would definitely stop back the next time I'm here :)
(5)Dave B.
A great diner - both food and atmosphere. Breakfast all day, tasty wraps, juicy burgers. Great specials, like waffles with blueberries and mandarin oranges - you'd be pleasantly surprised... Mostly booths, good counter service.
(5)Lisa N.
We went here for lunch a few weeks ago and were very happy. The waitress helped us get booster seats/hi chairs for our girls, was very attentive with our service, and we had great food. we had to wait a bit for the check, but we agreed to definitely visit again. this place has a very 50's style (much more than alot of other "50's" diners we went to!) and was reasonably priced. I would recommend a visit here on your way to the casino!!!

if you want a quaint retro-diner place to eat, this is it. the food is okay, it's usually pretty busy there, nothing special really. not as retro-like as say, johnny rocket's, but still pretty interesting.

Definitely a family favorite! My family and I have been going here since I was 3 (I'm 18 now) Service is always great and the food is always good. Needless to say the execution of 50s diner decor is the best I've seen; ever. Good eats, good memories, and good times.

(5)K. L.
(5)Daniel W.

(5)Jeremy G.
(5)Kahni B.
(5)Nicole K.
Excellent corn beef hash defiantly homemade better than Perseus and they were quick today
(5)Kelly B.
Burgers were great, Caesar salad was good as well. Service was quick and friendly. Good joint for some home cookin! Oh, and chocolate shake was delicious. Our family of 5 devoured it in less than 2 minutes.
(4)Justin D.

Nice place to eat - never had a long wait. Service and food were excellent and I look forward to returning.

You should go.

i'm so glad i found a great diner near my house. The breakfast was really good...nothing fancy...just great traditional new england breakfast. I'd give it a 4 stars....but what really puts this place over the top is that the owner or some family member is always there making sure the quality is good. It seems like a great family run restaurant and it shows in the service and food.

Love! Daves is a Sunday breakfast staple! Never had a bad time. We have been for lunch and dinner, but having breakfast is our favorite thing to eat there
(4)Dave J.

(1)Mark P.
The BEST fried chicken I have EVER had! You have to try it! The breakfast featured are so good and huge portions. Had the scrambled Manny with eggs scrambled, cheese, Linguica, home fries. Just delicious! A fifties-sixties authentic diner! Well worth the trip!
(5)Jim C.

(4)Dee E.
Five stars.
(5)Dean F.
Great breakfast....great price....awesome service! Thank you!

Food was bland and greasy. We were hoping for better based on the reviews. Went to Percy's yesterday and it was way better.
(1)Jeff J.
(4)Richard D.
Consistently great. Enough said.
(5)Emma S.
Very friendly staff, good coffee and hot chocolate. Other than that, the food was average. Still, the food is probably the best you'll find in the area. Middleboro isn't exactly a haven for good food.
(3)Edward C.
