Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

One word- Fabulous. The bread here is delicious, baked to perfection, an the sandwiches are delicious. But the real star here? The pastries. Oh my gosh, I could just take a box into a corner and devour them. When I've felt an obligatory need to share, my friends and family shared my opinion that D'amicis is the best local pastry shop around. The ricotta pie is creamy and flaky, the cannoli are crunchy and never dense. Try them with French cream filling. The lobster tails are my personal gluttonous pleasure. This place is truly one of the best pastry places I've ever been to.

Love the Italian Cream Cookies! Fantastic! the pastries and cakes here are fantastic! I couldn't recommended them more. The food I'm not as excited about though.

The pastry and cake are delicious. But the customer service needs some major upgrade. I went in to request a custom cake for my daughter's birthday. The girl at the counter before handing me their cake book, states you can do this online... Okay, yes I could but I wanted my daughter to see your premade options. Then I preceded to show her the cake I wanted, she said its all fondant, that's going to be expensive. Again OK fine. She grab my phone and headed to the back. Said the cake designer too busy on a call for a wedding to give me an estimate. Who asked for an estimate? She then said you can go online and request this. I just wanted to get my cake order in. I got so frustrated with the dunce who didn't even bother to look at the similar cake design with me that I rather order from stop and shop. This the second time I came to this location and never again. First time for brunch and the service was horrible as well as their breakfast items.

The worst cheesecake and canolis I've ever tasted..the girls behind the counter also look like they just got out of gym class. Won't be going back.

The most delicious baked goods in town. Their breakfast and lunch sandwiches are absolutely superb!

Three of us went to D'Amici's on a Saturday morning for breakfast. We all love the Eastern Ave. location and wanted to give this spot a try. I ordered the pancakes, which were extremely flat and flavorless. I asked for crispy bacon and got flabby fatty bacon instead. The other people in my party really didn't rave about anything on their plates either. One person ordered the veggie omelet, which was good, but it came with what was supposed to be home fries and they were awful. Also, the toast was cold....not even a little warm to melt the butter. The waitstaff were just rude. Not one person said good morning. One woman just stood at the counter and when asked if she would take our order her reply was "Well, what do you think I'm standing here for?" RUDE!!!! I don't think I'll be going back for a 'cooked' breakfast any time soon. I'll stick with the pastries and bread which I know to be delicious!!!

Wide array of fresh cakes, pastries, breads, sandwiches, and Italian classics. I often stop in here for a loaf of fresh scali bread, and their cakes are always licked off the plate at birthdays and celebrations. This Downtown Lynn location looks great and you can tell a lot of money went into the nice marble interior, classy display cases, and seating. This shop is similar, but bigger than their Eastern Ave outpost. I just hope it can survive the downtown.

This place never disappoints. I stupidly ordered at the wrong lynn location and they immediately cancelled it for me and made it at this location within 5 minutes. California wrap is awesome. Salads are made with fresh greens. Coworkers love the Tuscan veggie sandwich and boom boom chicken. Staff is friendly and clearly accommodating.

What an excellent find in downtown Lynn! I stopped by one Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised. I've known D'amici's as primarily a bakery with a few lunch items from the Eastern Ave location - but this location also has a breakfast and lunch menu. It was a nice sunny day outside and I sat by the windows looking out at high rock tower in the distance and couldn't have been much happier. The restaurant/bakery is very clean. The shiny dessert cases were full of colorful cookies and the coffee was hot. The full service breakfast items included - but wasn't limited to - french toasts, pancakes, omelette's, and the more basic items as well. I'd highly recommend giving this place a try...it may be one of the best new spots in town in the last few years. The only things I wasn't fully happy with are items they may eventually work out - as at the time of this writing, the place was relatively new. I wasn't fully happy with the homefries/potatoes. They almost seemed like french fries that were cut into little squares. I also like the idea of having mugs for coffee (as opposed to paper cups with plastic lids) and lastly - this place is so nice that I think they should break out of the mold of so many other boston places and go more California style and consider having fresh fruit with their breakfasts. I think that if they upgrade the potatoes, do the coffee in a cup thing, and offer fresh fruit, they'd be in a whole new league here - and do to breakfasts, what the Blue Ox (down the street) did to the restaurant scene a few years ago! Good luck..I'll definitely be back!!

Nice little lunch place in downtown Lynn. It is a bit slow, but the sandwiches are worth it.

The pastries are great! I love their ricotta pie. I stop there for coffee sometimes. Great alternative to the coffee chains!

Comfortable coffee shop with decent coffee and good food. They play the music a little loud.
