Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I've never really had any problems with their food and I have come here a lot as I practically live next door. (It is mostly traditional greasy American Chinese food after all so I'm not that picky) The lady that took my order was nice, but the ownership seems a little shady. They have deals or coupons sometimes, but they go out of there way to hide it from you. I had been charged many times for crab rangoons and rice when I had huge orders over 50 bucks. I later found out about the deals when the nice lady took my order once and slowly turned around to see if a cook was looking, (owner maybe) and she put one finger over her mouth and said shhhhh and then points to the deal. Depending on the size of your order you can get rice or crab rangoons for free. I don't know the exact details. The next time I walked in someone else charged me, and when I grabbed the menu from the menu holder to point out the coupon, they payed no attention and charged me. Good food, shady ownership, and the board of health shut the restaurant down for nearly a year. There was a sign out front; not saying they did anything wrong. I have no clue what the issue or details were. Just throw in a sprinkle of shadiness and well I'm going to have to only give this place 3 Stars which I feel is pretty generous. I hope the cook never sees this lol I'd hate to have caused problems for that nice lady.

I've been going here for a few years and the food is good, consistently good. However, the hygiene of the workers is consistently bad. Recently, I was waiting for a to go order and one of the workers is woofin' down her supper in plain view.....I don't have a problem with that. But then she brings her contaminated container over to the serving area and starts putting more food in her plate with utensils used for customer's orders. I also note on a regular basis that there is this secret area where the employees hang out in back until a customer walks in....almost without exception, they are playing with their friggin' faces every time they walk out from the back. I mean, what the f are they doing? I can't ding this place that bad because the food is consistently good, but man....clean up your act and wash your damn hands! And I still want to know why they were closed for a few weeks last year.

I love ordering takeout from Chen's Kitchen. The lady who helps me every time I come in is very sweet, and their orange chicken is amazing!

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go here while sober! The food is terrible if your taste buds are fully functional but if you are a north campus student at UMass Lowell and your tummy starts rumbling any time after midnight (and likely after a trip to the other side of the Meri-crap River for a house party), I strongly encourage you to save Chen's Kitchen's digits for such an occasion. You will be rewarded handsomely when that phone call from security calls up to your room, "Chen's Kitchen in the Lobby!". If it's still on the menu when you call, order the #13. Golden fingers (beer-battered chicken fingers), boneless bbq pork ribs, pork-fried rice, beef teriyaki skewers and a day-old roll can all be yours with just a touch of a button (assuming you've assigned Chen's Kitchen a speed-dial key).

I have been going to another one that puts Chens to shame. I did like it until I received burnt food several times. I know everybody has their own preference but I don't like chen's any longer.

really cheap and greasy chinese food. so greasy that it lacks any real flavor besides oil! the only reason why i ate here was because i was in college and they delivered, and also it was really close to my bf's house. every time i ate here i ended up feeling sick afterward.

I placed an order on grub hub, it says estimate delivery time was 35-45 minutes. The food came an hour and half later. I was going to leave a bad tip but when I answered the door, it was a little old man so I pulled out extra money to tip him because I felt bad. -_- Food was pretty awful. Nothing tasted right. The fried rice were hard and the pork were greasy and too sticky. The hot and sour soup taste like sour soup with just spice in it. Chicken wings look extra old/dry. I would NOT order from there again.

It was a long work day that ended late, and I went on grub hub to find something open past ten that will deliver. I looked at the menu Chen's Kitchen had and decided to choose them. Grub hub said my order would be here by 11 30, and it was here by 11. The delivery man was very sweet! And the food was HOT! The crab ran goons were tasty and crispy, as were the spring rolls. All the sauce I ordered ( extra ginger) was in the bag, and the food was tasty. I'm picky when it comes to chinese food- and it's rare that I order it. Thank you, Chen's Kitchen, I'm definitely a fan!

Not the worst...but close. All the food I ordered from here (I lived next to this place, so at times it was an only option) I would get something that hardly resembled what any semi-quality Chinese restaurant would provide. The hot and sour soup was so clear and just full of some pepper additive or something that made it more hot, and hardly sour. The Wanton Soup was weak. Their fried food is mostly grease. The effort for quality just isn't there. It's more of a place that knows there will be people will order from their establishment due to location and their hours of business. Good, only if you're starving to death.

Outstanding! Just moved to area and was without car the first month, ZERO knowledge of area (lived 44 years 30 miles away), and VERY picky about Chinese food. This was next to house and had no choice to feed family. (only eat Chinese a max 3-4 times year) Chens was fresh, hot, well balanced flavor (not too much soy, msg, salt) polite staff and clean. Pork lo mein best ever had better than Billy tse (Boston and Revere locations), better than Manderian restaurant. Didn't care for peking ravioli but that was personal cooking preference. Eaten Chens 6 times (about once a month) since relocating. 5 stars. I have never given anyone 5 stars. Enjoy

Went again tonight giving them another shot and specifically on grub hub I told them to make me fresh chicken fingers because the ones you will see in the picture are gross. I had officially had enough of this dump. I so hope they get shut down and the owner a retraining on customer service. Place is gross!

I will go against the majority here and provide my support. Unlike everyone else, I have ordered from Chen's many times and have always been satisfied. I have always picked the order up fresh and have not had delivery, so perhaps that is the difference? Regardless of what I have ordered, Chen's has always made my order fresh and has had everything ready within 10 minutes. Their General Gau's chicken is especially great.

This is the place to go when I want to get Chinese. The food is very good. I especially love the gold fingers and rice.
