Papa John's is probably my number 1 for take out pizza. The sauce is a bit sweet and the toppings are fresh (not from a jar) which is a bonus. And you can't beat the dippin sauce and peppers.

The pizza here isn't bad, not great, but not bad. I absolutely love the garlic sauce. I usually end up getting one of the specialty pizzas, nothing to write home about. The prices here are above average, with about average quality food. I will only order food here if there is a promo or deal going on. I haven't been disappointed with anything yet..

I have really been wanting to review this place for a while! Ok, I have been a Papa John's customer (this store in particular) since I was before 5 years old. I LOVE this store. The pizza is AMAZING 5 STARS! I have only one issue though. there is one guy who often delivers to my house, he never greets me, only thing he says is the price of pizza, and a complaint, like maybe I have to be faster or I should get the money before he gets here or complains about the driveway. I always say to him "Have a nice day," he says absolutely nothing. He just walks away. He needs some manners, to he honest. I'm not sure his name. there also is this other guy, he is my favorite of all! he has a great big smile on his face all the time! he never complains, always asks how I am doing, and he always wishes me a nice day. I'm also not sure what his name is, but he has a short brown beard, I know that. Overall this place is amazing, I've ordered every week for years, if not every other week! God Bless!

Let me start this review of by saying if it wasn't for the fact that I was given a gift card to this place for Christmas, I would never even think of going to Papa Johns for pizza. There are many other better choices in the Leominster area for pizza, but I had the gift card, it's a free meal, and how bad can you mess up pizza right? RIGHT? I wanted to play it safe and get plain cheese, or peperoni, but my friend suggested we try one their "Specialty Pizzas." Let me tell you THERE IS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THESE PIZZAS! But I'll get back to that in a minute. With some reservations, I said why not, let's try one. We decided on the BBQ Chicken and Bacon and ordered a "Extra Large" which came to a whopping $14.88. We ordered at 9:15pm and were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. We showed up to pick up the pizza at 9:30pm and the place was dead. The girl working greets us by asking what name our order is under, with an attitude like she's unimpressed that were actually choosing to be customers at this place, where SHE works. No "how are you tonight?" or basic customer service at all. She rings me up has trouble with the gift card, acts annoyed, then informs us our pizza is still not ready, so we had to sit and ended up waiting an additional 5-10 minutes. We go to sit down at the table and it has so many greasy finger prints that it looks like someone had finger painted with pizza grease (I am not exaggerating) and the seat was covered in crumbs, so I brushed the crumbs of the seat and made sure not to touch the table. When our name was called I went up and mentioned that I also paid for a 2 liter of Pepsi, and even though the cooler for the soda was half way behind the counter she informed me I should get it. OK, you can't put the 2 liter on the counter with my order? We get back home, open the box, and the first thing we notice is this supposed "Extra Large" pizza looks no larger than a typical large pizza from any pizza place, yet we paid extra $$$ for an "Extra Large", so there's the first problem. Next, we notice two random "bonus" items in the corners of the box, which are ridiculous, and puzzling in their utter uselessness. The first item is this little tiny container of some sort of garlic sauce that is completely absurd, due to the fact that there is so little sauce in the chicken nugget sauce size container, that you couldn't possibly distribute the sauce amongst more than a couple of the eight pieces of pizza, making it more annoying than anything else. The second item is a lone pepperoncini pepper in the corner of the box, lying there in the fetal position, purpose unknown, like it was beaten and left for dead. Why would anyone want one pepperoncini pepper with a pizza? Then there's the pizza itself. There is barely any chicken or bacon on it whatsoever, and the barely visible stringy pieces of chicken and bacon that were there were around the center of the pizza and not evenly distributed on the pizza. The description of the pizza on the website says "Piled high with grilled all-white chicken, hickory smoked bacon." Piled high? The person who wrote that must have been high. This pizza looked nothing like the picture of the BBQ Chicken and Bacon pizza on their website, and the lack of chicken and bacon on this thing was an insult and a rip off considering what we paid, and compared to what we could get from other local places with that sort of money. My only regret, besides going there, is that I didn't take a picture of the pizza to show how pitiful the amount of toppings was. Then we start to eat it, and there was so much barbecue sauce on this pizza, (which is used instead of red sauce on this particular pizza, and if had realized that would have never ordered it in the first place) an excessive amount, that we both started feeling sick after eating just one piece, but ultimately ended up eating 3 pieces due to the fact that WE WERE HUNGRY, but it just made us feel even more sick. We both felt nauseous for hours after eating it. This place is just wrong, stacked upon wrong, stacked upon wrong: *ridiculously overpriced pizza which looks nothing like the menu, to the point where you feel like you've been deceived and ripped off. *Unfriendly employees, slow service, dirty tables *Pizza did not seem "extra-large", and hardly had any of the toppings that are supposed to be "piled on" and make this pizza "Special" *A disgusting amount of barbecue sauce on the pizza, to the point where it was almost inedible. I understand that everyone is different, and people have different tastes, but I know good pizza, and Papa Johns is not it. Not even remotely close. It's a disgrace. If you eat at this place regularly, or at all, and think this is even remotely good pizza, you are gravely misinformed my friend. Go anywhere else but here, Athens, T.C. Lando's, Sabarro, etc. Anywhere. Anything else but this. Trust me, it's an insult to pizza in general, and a complete rip off.
