Service was great on Tues 8/11, not sure of servers name but very on her game. Will go again if in the area!

This place is absolutely disgusting from a food perspective. We stopped in based on these positive yelp reviews on a Friday evening and it was empty. That should have been a warning sign. Ordered the nachos for the kids and asked that all the toppings except for the cheese be put on the side. The waitress said the kitchen can't (or won't) do that. So we ordered just plain nachos. They came barely cheesed and way over cooked. A mess. Kids ordered a pizza to split, I had the chicken parm and the wife had a burger. The burger was nothing special, seemed like a frozen patty. The chicken parm was ok, but seemed tough and overcooked. The pizza on the other hand was a complete failure. The crust obviously was frozen or pre-packaged crust a la boboli style, and the cheese they chose to put on this pizza was completely odd. It was a mixture of orange cheddar, dry shredded parmesan and maybe a little mozzarella? It tasted nothing like a pizza, and my kids who have very flexible and forgiving palette when it comes to pizza refused to eat it. I tasted it as well. Their elementary school serves better frozen pizza. This place is disgusting and I truly felt let down by yelpers. Yet again another reason why I am starting to feel that there is some shady business going on with yelp and the businesses who pay them.

Terrible service, rude bartender, and aggressive bouncer. Would not recommend this bar if you expect to be treated with any kind of respect.
(1)Adrian H.
Best food, bar and atmosphere on Main Street. Tacos are fab, especially the spicy tuna with sweet potato fries. Excellent drink selection including draught Long Trail IPA. When it's busy they offer a separate bottle bar. Great for watching sports events.
(5)Anita C.
Came on a Sunday while spending sometime around a nearby beach and although the place looked like your typical sports bar the food is a far cry from it. We decided to do the pizza since on Sunday's are you getting a 2 for 1 deal. We chose the chicken broccoli alfredo pizza and nacho grande and the phuphu platter for kicks. The alfredo pizza is literally the best pizza I have hands down, if you love alfredo this is a must have, cannot rave enough about it. I think I could eat this every day of my life, that's how good it was. Ok moving on.. the nacho grande is pretty good as well but I am not a big fan of peppers. I was looking forward to the Chicken & Mushroom Rangoons in the phuphu platter but unfortunately it was a letdown and everything else on that platter was pretty blah. I would definitely come back to explore other menu items and love that this place has an Asian twist to some of the menu items, Beijing burger anyone?

I have no idea how it's possible I have never written a review for my favourite place on Main Street. They have EVERYTHING on the menu here. Literally, everything. From Modern American to Southern to Thai to Italian. So many authentic influences, so many specials, such yummy pizza. They have an extensive gluten free menu and many items can be made gluten free upon request. You cannot go wrong with drinks at Seaside. They have creative drink specials, incredibly cheap well drinks, and local beers as well (CAPE COD BEER FOR THE WIN!). To those who say there are underage kids here, I beg to differ. I think their bouncers are way tougher than a few other places I could mention. Plus now they scan ID's, so definitely not. They regularly have entertainment like DJ's and trivia, though I haven't seen any local bands there yet. It can get *really* loud, so be prepared to yell. Uy and Bernie, the owners, are always there greeting regulars and making new friends. They are salt of the earth awesome people. It really is "where the locals go," and we try to go as often as we can! **Just be careful where you park, make sure it's on Main and not in any of the private lots around there (you know, the ones that say NO PARKING) because you WILL get towed!**

Fantastic bacon cheese fries. Chicken Satay was so so. Seasonings on the plate were awesome but the chicken had no seasonings at all. Great bar staff. Great customer at the bar to have a chat with.
(4)Joanne D.
Awesome casual dining. We went in while on vacation to grab a bite and watch the celtics game. Service was awesome and food was really good. Affordable and more upscale than normal bar food.

Varied menu in great location. Food all around was tasty, well made, well portioned and well priced. Mac n cheese kids menu 4* was nice portion for a hungry kid. Pasta with butter had cheese on the side 4.5* for the little one to add Make your own burger served on a toasted panini 5* came with choice of fries, pommes frites w Parmesan and truffle oil, sweet potato fries; patty made to order. Big boy grilled cheese: what a winner. 5* Loaded with melted cheese, thick cut tomato and oiled high with bacon bacon crispy bacon. Garlic aioli undertones were sublime. Pick it up hot, and slurp the melting cheese and surprising dripping buttery goodness.... Yum. Best bacon tomato grilled cheese I have EVER had. Sweet potato fries: 5* perfect. Crispy, sweet potato-y, just the right tough of salt. Pommes frites: 5* have had my share of truffle scented Parmesan fries, and these are perfectly truffled, not over done. Perfectly crispy outside and soft on the inside. Chicken wings: 3* because they were Jurassic sized, and while a burly man might have enjoyed these, the meat to crispy skin ratio was too high, hence 3*. But the crispy and seasoning were just right. Scenery also deserves props, plenty of well placed tv's make for a trendy bar experience. High ceilings to help cajole a cavernous crowd experience. Varied drinks menu looked yummy. Situated on the corner of a busy street, easy pickins for a hip and trendy hot spot, complete with good eats.

I came here for food and drinks while on the Cape. This place was okay. Nothing special. Probably similar to the local dive bar in your town or neighborhood. The chicken tenders I had were average. I had better quality at other places. The beer on draft was not cold enough.
(3)Christopher P.
This place has some of the best food I've had. I was apprehensive about ordering Thai Curry at a pub but it may have been the best I've had. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
(5)Brian W.
If you are a Celiac visiting Cape Cod you absolutely need to eat at Seaside Pub. It's right in the heart of "downtown" Hyannis near all the little shops and restaurants. They have a dedicated gluten free menu and it has lots of options - including fried food like pickle chips and calimari. They have a dedicated GF fryer and the breading they use for the gluten free fried items is lighter and tastier than the regular breading. The fish tacos with the fried cod were awesome. The gluten free grilled cheese stole the show. Toasted gluten free bun with lots of cheese and LOTS of bacon. There must have been 20 pieces of bacon. Good beers on draft and plenty of tv's to watch whatever game is on.
(5)Amanda C.
This place was a real gem! Did not expect such a high level of success on such an array or dishes - everything from burgers to fish and chips, and curry to children's mac and cheese. All superb. Our waiter was a bit wet behind the ears, but he tried hard and was very sweet. Overall a surprisingly great casual meal in Hyannis! Highly recommend the Drunken fish & chips...The cod was fried to perfection in a tempura beer batter. Mmm!!!
(4)Richard E.
Gluten free pub food! Brilliant and a real surprise to find! My wife has celiac disease and can never have fries etc with meals but they have a separate fryer so now we have been there twice so far this week on vacation! Gluten free pizza is good, and we've had buffalo wings both times which were nice to be able to get! They have a separate menu so the servers don't need to memorize everything that has wheat in it!
(5)Erin W.
This place has awesome food, but you'd never know it from how it looks. The menu looks like someone printed it off of Microsoft Word & the pictures do not do the food justice. The ambiance makes you think you're getting mediocre burgers & fries, but they have an eclectic menu that would please anyone. The waitress told us that the place used to be a Asian Fusion restaurant that just didn't work out in the Cape Cod, touristy area it's in. They have changed some of the menu but kept the chef, so no need to fear ordering the Chicken Curry or the Stir-fry - the chef really knows what he's doing! I would recommend this place & would like to go try something new on the menu.
(3)Alissa N.
While I love this place, it's a very confused atmosphere. I don't actually think of it as a restaurant more of a bar, especially on the weekends the place is usually packed. During the week it's a little more mellow but they have karaoke and trivia night so it can be noisy any day of the week. That being said it's a good spot if you looking for some place to go out in Hyannis. All the drinks are reasonable and they have a decent selection of draft beers. On the flip side they do have some tasty treats on the menu. It's pub food with a bistro like twist. While I haven't loved every dish I've ever ordered there I've been satisfied more often than not. I think the most disappointing dish I ever had there were the nachos. They were just meh. The shrimp bruschetta is my go to, jumbo shrimp, goat cheese, balsamic, yum! I love it and I eat the whole dish mixed greens and all since they drizzle balsamic everywhere even though it's a garnish it's like a little salad. They have good pizza that's 2 for 1 on Sundays (my favorite is the chicken broccoli Alfredo pizza). The best part? Kitchen is open till midnight! (That's a big deal here on lil ole cape cod.) Overall I like the place a lot but it's awkward if you're not part of a group and you shouldn't go in expecting an open seat at the bar or a quiet atmosphere.
(4)Michele C.
Excellent food & service! We all had something different & all agreed it was great. I had a Filet Mignon sandwich that was excellent. My sons had pizza, buffalo wings, & jambalaya. It looks like they recently redid the inside. Hardwood floors, big screen tv's, great bar. I hope they redo the bathrooms soon - they didn't match the rest of the place. Prices are very reasonable!
(5)Lada L.
Good quality food. Had calamari for appetizer. Not a lot of breading. Lots of pepper and on the spicy side. Tacos were gigantic. I could only eat one. The phunky chicken a bit dry but a has a great smokey taste. Their fries were the best I've ever had!
(3)Andrew W.
This is my favorite bar on Main Street. It's smaller than the BBC, but definitely a big step up food and atmosphere-wise. Seaside's menu is unique, but approachable, and you can't make any mistakes. I think their biggest selling point are their shareable appetizers and pizzas. Their appetizers are all 1/2 price after 9pm at the bar, every single day. I'm a big fan of the "Phu Phu Platter" (appetizer sampler). I was a little disappointed by the beer options. The only local beers are Sam Adams (lager & seasonal) and Vermont's Long Trail IPA. I wish they served Cape Cod Red here. On the plus side, they have $2 PBRs (don't judge) and a good size cocktail menu. The crowd looks to be mostly 20s and 30s. It's a step up from dives like the Quarter Deck or the 19th Hole.
(4)Joyce L.
For our last night in Hyannis, we chose Seaside Pub on the Main. We chose this place based on the consistently good reviews on yelp. Our waiter, Dave, was great. We ordered main course salads and they were so delicious, while my daughter tried the chicken fingers kids meal. The funny thing about this place is that the food does not quite match the sports bar ambiance. Food is wonderful! The place is casual and relaxing. We came on Labor Day, when most of the crowds had already left.
(5)Michael R.
If I had a Yelp list of "Most Surprisingly Good Restaurants", Hyannis' Seaside Pub on Main would be pretty darn close to the top. A quick look around the place once you walk in would make you think standard bar fare...pizza, buffalo wings, Bud Light, etc. But looks can be deceiving, and they most definitely are with SPOM. They've got a menu full of slightly upscale offerings that put a fresh, modern spin on standard bar food. Take the Meatzilla Pizza: smoked bacon, irish bacon, chourico, chicken, and mozzarella. My meal ended up being the Baja Fish Tacos -- tempura cod, apple slaw, and lemon tarragon aioli. Lemon tarragon at a dive-type bar? Is this real life? Yup. My stomach was the "pinch" that told me this wasn't Inception part two. These tacos were damn good, and even if the cod wasn't caught that day, you could have fooled me. Also, if you like sangria -- come on, who doesn't? -- Seaside Pub will usually whip you up a solid batch of the stuff most nights. I think I've found another fresh option to add to the list of great Hyannis dining gems.
(4)Glau F.
No complain about this pub food is delicious from the most simple dish to the more elaborated and the presentation of the dish is beautiful very well done. Very warmth atmosphere, I will be returning many many times....
(5)Al R.
Great staff, and the food is always good. The specials items are what I go for now as I've tried almost all of the regular menu items. It's far from bar food, the kitchen staff really kicks up the quality and creates some really great meals. Pizzas are great and so are burgers.
(5)Dick E.
Just had the Thai Curry Chicken! Absolutely delicious! A hint of heat, perfectly done chicken, with steamed sweet potatoes and plantains. The curry and Jasmine rice were spot on! Walking in to this place you would never expect such an accomplished kitchen. Other family members had burgers and one had the fish & chips. WOW! And our server, Dave, was the best!
(5)Julie F.
My husband and I ate here on our first night on the cape. We started with the fried pickles (which we always order whenever they show up on any menu). They weren't quite as flavorful as the ones we get at home, but that's fine, the bar is set pretty high. For dinner, I ordered the fish and chips and my hubby got the beer grilled chicken with jerk seasoning. He said it was ok but not really "jerk" flavored. My fish was the same way: ok, but not anything to write home about. I will, however, say that the apple slaw that came with my meal was top notch. Slight hint of sweetness without being heaped in mayo. Overall, other than the apple slaw and the fact that apps were half price (4-6pm), it was ok but not life changing. Good place for happy hour and apps but wouldn't go back for dinner.
(3)Shelly A.
The best mixed drink I've ever had, the atmosphere was really nice, and the food was pretty good. The only con I have was that our waittress seemed to keep forgetting we were sitting at the table...in an empty restaurant.
(4)Tanya C.
Always great drinks, great food and service at the Seaside. Love me some Bernie, Nickie or Heather. Always come back when I'm visiting even though I don't live there anymore.
(5)Amanda B.
Shrimp bruschetta might be one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten. Tuscan fondue was was great also. Service was good as well as their extensive drink menu.
(4)Dave R.
Came here for drinks and apps/dinner on Jan 24, 2014, based on Yelp reviews. Many thanks to the Yelp community for finding such a great place! Sadly, I cannot recall the name of the bartender we had, but he was terrific. It was a little on the early side (maybe 5pm) and the bar was fairly quiet, but he was engaging and helpful and kept our glasses full. Made several food suggestions, a couple of which we took him up on. Food was WAY above bar/pub food....and reasonable in price. We were full eating 3 apps!. Bar itself has tons of TV's and looks to be a good place to catch a game. Highly recommend you try Seaside Pub if you are in the area.
(5)Binh T.
Good chill place to start the night with a few drinks and dinner. They have an ENTIRE MENU GLUTEN FREE for those Celiac Disease people. So props to the restaurant owner for doing that. Must order: Wings - The lemon garlic flavor - FYI all there wings are dry flavor, not smothered in sauces; and Sweet Potato Fries
(4)Kc W.
I don't live in the area but travel here for work. Wow was this place a great find!! Everything I have had is awesome! Salads, tacos, jambalaya, stir fry.... All incredible. You don't find this great culinary experience in some if the best places around the country! These guy do it right and the service is always great. (Especially Jenn) And if you have room left, get the cookies for dessert! (But be prepared to go into a food coma)
(5)Kevin H.
Food is really great. Paleo and gluten free dieters must eat here! Dont let the decor fool you. Our waiter David was great. Their bacon is out of this world!
(5)Dmitri R.
The food here is excellent! Atmosphere is of a pub, so we didn't expect much but it was highly recommended. Sure enough, everything was delicious. Unexpectedly, there were some Asian dishes, which were excellent, like chicken satay and curry chicken. Highly recommended.
(5)Damien S.
To the haters of the Seaside nation, you're mindless. Get past the yin-yang nature of the street sign, and step up to a bar that pours the heaviest $4 well vodka soda you've ever drink/drank/drunk. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because I never tried the food, which, I'm sure, is equally as alcohol-laden. Hugs and kisses from the Cape!
(4)Blake C.
I was probably like you...sitting at home, looking at yelp reviews, trying to figure out where to eat and came across this place. Looked good, 4 stars, and the pictures of the food looked pretty good. Well don't be fooled, don't take the bait, this place is just awful, a terrible excuse for a restaurant. The microwavable bacon was a nice touch though. Ugh, awful awful awful. Turrible Turrible Turrible. I would rather have my yolk sac spread out like a wafer and then have them covered in a layer of honey and then have wasps come and sting me and then have them covered in another layer of vinegar and then have it worn as a swimming cap. I'd rather have that than eat another meal here. Cheers.
(1)Brooks C.
I've been a long time lurker on yelp, however I felt compelled to create an account to review this awful establishment. My wife and friends visited seaside on a Friday night in the summer and boy were we fooled, what should have been a great evening out turned into a nightmare. I wish I could give this place zero stars, it actually deserves negative stars. It's tough to explain just how bloody awful the food is, Gordon Ramsey would have a field day with this place. For dinner I had the BLT which contained a pile of greasy, thin, microwave bacon, I mean honestly microwave bacon, seriously show a little effort . Microwave bacon basically Is announcing to your customers that you have given up. I also had the pleasure of receiving Parmesan truffle fries...oooooooo wow so exotic. What I actually received was a pile of greasy soft fries with a what can only be described as a fistful of Parmesan cheese thrown on top. I could go on an on with the food, from the imitation crab meat in the lobster bisque to the shrimp bruschetta which contained two whole shrimp, oh boy two whole shrimp wow !!!! I'll spare you more details, just don't go just don't go ever. Also forgot to mention prices, they are just silly high and this is coming from someone who is used to eating in NYC.
(1)Stef M.
Fun stop on a Cape Cod adventure. Try the dragon berry mojitos! Great calamari. Happening night life. Karaoke is entertaining. Outdoor seating. This is a restaurant disguised as a pub.
(4)Hudson K.
If your desperate hungry you will not notice how bad the food is. Pizza was like cardboard, salad mediocre at best, and service was s-l-o-w. Would not go there again, nor would I recommend it. Under 30 crowd not looking for good food.
(1)Mike R.
This place was a pleasant surprise. When we arrived at our hotel, the concierge repeatedly recommended the Black Cat. Being the experienced yelpers we are, we did some research of our own and found this place. When we walked in, it seemed like any other pub I've been to but, I was wrong. They had a nice selection of beer on tap, which is always a plus. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder in a bread bowl which was excellent. My wife doesn't even eat fish but, I made her try it and even she liked it. My wife ordered the Teriyaki Boneless WIngs which were so big they were like Teriyaki chicken cutlets. They were very flavorful. She also had a side order of sweet potato fries which were crispy and well done, just they was she likes them. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She also provided great service which is hard to find these days in a place like this. If you're in the area and you're looking to catch a sports game with lunch or dinner, this is the place you should go.
(4)Jaclyn R.
I'm not sure why but I haven't been to Seaside Pub in over a year...until yesterday that is! I scoped out the menu online (which has defiantly been updated since my last visit). It was a pleasant surprise to find BUY ONE/ GET ONE pizzas on Sundays! My friend and I ordered two pizzas which were really good, and obviously way too much food for us. We both got to take some home... (thinking about eating it for breakfast) We also ordered the buffalo mozzarella wontons, which were equally as good, except we only got 5 little wontons and they cost $7.95. As ya know, I don't drink but the table across from us had the coolest contraption. It was a tall glass tower of beer! You could either buy 50oz or 100oz of draft beer, they put it right on your table & you enjoy with your friends! I might be out of the loop, but I hadn't seen that before! There was a nice mixed crowd...A little bit of everybody... Lacking in the 'hot guy' department. Had the Sunday night vibe for sure... Finished up the meal with a delicious cappuccino. I will be back... SOON!
(4)KJ S.
Typical pub food, but good drink specials. This is a laid back type of place where you can meet up with friends, watch a game, and enjoy some decent food and drinks.
(3)Sondra L.
Seaside has become a regular drinking spot for me when I am on the Cape. They make good cocktails and great pub food - with half price appetizers from 5-7 and pizza specials on Sundays. It also looks like they have a large gluten free menu, which I have not tried but will be bringing my fiance to sample next time we stop in. They host trivia nights and karaoke every Wednesday. You can also play Wii on the giant TV along the bar or find a board game or two. I am not always thrilled by the service - expect when my buddy is working the bar, then I have no problems.
(4)Samantha D.
I wish I could give Seaside zero stars for the absolute rudest most unacceptably bitchy bartender I have ever met. On a lively but by no means overwhelmingly busy Monday night, two girl friends and I sat at the bar waiting for 20 minutes for the bartender to even glance at us. When she finally acknowledged our existence, we hastily ordered all together knowing she would never get back to us in time for us to order separately. After she brought the drinks, she literally held out her hand and said "Well? Hello? I'm busy here, can you give me a card to open a tab?" Somewhat astonished by how rude she was being, we sat and stared for a second longer as she became even more angry. We asked if we could perhaps pay for our drinks separately with cash, as one does at bars. She flat out told us she was too busy for that. I honestly have NEVER been treated like that by anyone, let alone someone who is supposed to be providing a friendly service. No amount of stress or busy-ness makes the way she treated us excusable (and it actually wasn't that busy by normal standards). She blatantly ignored us to flirt with men at the bar and then when she did acknowledge us, she treated us like absolute crap. Totally unacceptable and I'm never going back, unless she gets fired.
(1)Juli C.
buy one get one free pizza sundays. their pizza is great. the tuscan white is the best white pizza ive ever had.
(4)Peter S.
Good food. Fresh ingredients. Fine-crafted menu. Casual pub environment. If I lived nearby, I would spend loads of time here. Only downside was the pre-made pizza shells. Made the crust the weak point of an excellent Hawaiian pizza.
(5)Veronica M.
Fried pickles were delicious! The fish is fresh and flaky. Yummmm!
(4)Laura R.
Great lobster bisque cappuccino soup! Burgers are great also.
(5)Laura K.
Come here to be knocked on your ass by strong $4 well cocktails, tiny (yet feisty) patrons, searing one-liners, the repetitively (if not incredibly)informative barback who is NOT a bartender and the overwhelming feeling that the school of hard knocks might be the only one on the Cape. Located at the end of the line, this bar will serve you well as a last resort.
(3)Kevin F.
No more churros and ice cream.. Average at best now
(2)Rick H.
Excellent local pub. From the fries pickles, to the clam chowder, to the fish tacos. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Large portions too!! Excellent waitstaff and an overall neat atmosphere. Decent selection of beer on tap too. Good value for the money. Next time I'm in the area, I will be back!!
(5)Jason W.
We visited after a recommendation so we had high expectations. The wings were good but overall the food was mediocre. We had crème brûlée with pop rocks for dessert. The pop rocks were an interesting touch but the custard was underdone. Maybe a good late night spot but would not return for dinner.
(2)Faye P.
Wonderful experience. Cold, cold beer and great hamburger with the yummiest sweet potato fries I have ever eaten. The fried dill, pickles were most delicious and serrache sauce was tasty. The hubby had the large old fashioned prime rib with Cajun fries and broccoli. Delicious. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and knew every beer. She even allowed us to taste several before we made a decision. loved this place and we will be back!
(5)Arlo H.
This pub is a gem. Great rustic pub vibe with a solid craft beer selection on tap and a menu built for discerning foodies. I can't get over how good the food is here and what an interesting selection they have. Great place to waste some idle hours in Hyannis.
(5)Judy G.
We relied on Yelp to choose dinner-we weren't disappointed. Excellent food and presentation. Husband says BEST fish and chips. Very large portion, fresh and crisp. Upon entering, I thought, "bar"... But, not so. Very good food-a chef or highly trained cook does a fantastic job.
(5)Joe R.
Excellent food. Great "young and fun" atmosphere. Many large flat screens broadcasting different games. Friendly speedy bartenders. So glad we came here. Thanks Yelp!
(5)Lacey A.
I came here with my girlfriend twice while up at the Cape. The first time was kind of like "hmm..doesn't look like we fit in here" As it was early and it was a bunch of locals there drinking and eating. Also, the bartender asked for back up I.D. because we were from out of state, which is understandable, I had backup but my girlfriend didn't, but it was okay because she let us drink anyway! Their drink prices are not bad at all. Mixed drinks were anywhere from 4-6 bucks, and yes, they were a decent size and full of alcohol, so that made me really excited. ...We then came back on a busy weekend night, or was it Thursday? I forget! Anyway, it was packed. It was cool to see a different bar scene other than Philly/burbs, but I have to say, we started to miss Philly's scene for a while. It's just not the same...And I can't exactly describe it...But it's just not. The only peeve I had is that all the bars up there close at 1am...Which is kind of a bummer. They start to kick you out of here at like 12:45, which is not ok at all. THAT'S WACK! I couldn't even enjoy my last drink in peace. If I remember correctly they put on a police siren and yelled loudly that it was time to get out! Oh well, it was a very entertaining experience... I'll be back again next year, and maybe I'll try there food!
(5)Sonny F.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great location. Best combination of nightlife and food quality in Hyannis, hands down. The staff is always prompt and super friendly. I always recommend Seaside whether is just for a drink or for a fantastic meal.
(5)Kimberly K.
Tvs playing sports, attentive bartender and the 5-star earner... 2x1 pizza on Sunday!!! Oven baked not-too-thin yet not-really-thick pie with a bunch of unique flavor combos for the adventurous. The pizsalad gets two thumbs up. $14 and its enough for 2-3 people. Add the 2nd for free and you've just scored yourself a major winner in the budget-friendly category. Full bar & the Beer selection seemed decent. Must have an evening scene even on a Sunday b/c come 9pm the security guy perched up at the front. Convenience, quality and fair pricing...yeah, I dig.
(5)Malea X.
gluten-free fish and chips! a gluten-free menu plus a dedicated fryer. the fish was excellent, the fries were mediocre. i wanted to pay a little extra and have fried pickles instead but they charge $8 for the pickles so wouldn't sub them out. that's lame sauce. hubby had the veggie philly and found it bland. our server seemed high but he was nice.
(3)Paul M.
Happened to be in Hyannis this weekend and the family got hungry. Hit the closest place we saw which was Seaside Pub. The food was excellent and the service spot on. We all had very nice salads and the Phu Phu platter which was delicious, especially the chicken with habanero sauce. I agree with reviewer Andrew W. that the beer selection should include more local beers, why not Cape Cod Beer, it's wonderful?
(4)Vaca From NY K.
Amazing amazing amazing!!! Came here twice while on vaca in the cape and was blown away by the food both times. Their burgers are to die for and their fried fish is perfect. The townie (drink) was also a favorite.
(5)Becca T.
Amazing food! Everyone in my party (there were 10 of us) loved their meal, Phu Phu Platter is a great choice for a big group and I highly recommend the tipsy cod. Service was mediocre but food made up for it. Don't let the look of the place scare you away :)
(4)KATE G.
Very clean , fresh atmosphere for a main street pub. I am pushing 40 so the crowd seemed a little young but fairly good mix. Very well behaved crowd - maybe due to off season and extreme cold front this weekend ( brrrr). Fresh simple fare - great selection of beer. No comment on the game thing did not try, and not interested.

Great burger, though the food is kind of expensive for the atmosphere ($1 extra for a slice of cheese on the burger, and no, it wasn't made of gold). They seem unsure about whether they are a pub or a fine dining restaurant, but it was nice to find a place with tasty food to back up the high prices.

I've been there several times fun place. Great staff, good food and great drinks!

Great food, cheap/good drinks, tons of tvs, and fun atmosphere! Great place to watch a Celtics game or have a casual dinner.

Gluten free menu - pizza, grilled cheese and sandwiches, and GF tempura fried seafood with a dedicated GF fryer?! I CAN HAVE THE FRENCH FRIES! Can this be true? AND terrific atmosphere. Too bad I live 3 hours away!

The Seaside was one of the highlights of a recent trip to Hyannis in the off-season. We ended up here on our first night and the food, drinks, and ambiance were so great we just went back again the next night! The quality of the food can't be beat - you can tell that they truly care about the experience you'll have eating there - the head chef even came out and talked to people about their meal. We had both burgers and chicken there - defeinitely try the not your average "paddy" melt. Oh, and the fries were DELISH - so many options from curry dusted to cumin/corriander seasoned! The bar had endless drinks on the menu, and the vast majority of cocktails were under $7 - a great deal considering how generous they were with the liquor :) the vibe is great - big screens, Wii competitions, board games you can play at your table or in the lounge area...and much of the people there were regulars that were friendly to welcome others. In all, a place that is a must-visit for any venture out to the Hyannis area.

Seaside Pub is my favorite spot on the Hyannis Main Street strip! Awesome food, bartenders with a normal to heavy pour and a chill atmosphere- and let's not forget the very friendly owner Uy who just makes you want to stay and hang out.

New place, just opened a few weeks ago. Pros: Features the Wii as a big entertainment piece (Ex: Sat's are 'disco bowling' nights on Wii). Also has dart boards, and board games. Food is great pub food but eclectic. Have sampled the chicken/wild mushroom wontons (the only complaint I have about these is they don't give you enough, absolutely divine), the pizzas are great (2 for 1 on Sundays), beer-battered tempura fish n chips, and 7 different kinds of fries (the cajun spiced and cumin yucca fries are top choice). Great menu/drink selection too. Pitchers of PBR for $8. The cons: Now, I'm nitpicky about some of these but in all fairness...first the Wii thing. GREAT idea to bring to the Cape but every time I"ve been where there's been a Celtics/Sox/Bruins game of any time they never run the Wii. Sorry but either say you're a Wii bar and screw the sports games, or be a sports bar and ditch the Wii. Personally if I were you, keep the Wii, you have a niche that the other 50 bars in the area don't have, don't screw it up. Don't advertise you're doing a Wii night for something and then not have it because the Celts are on. You can't be both. Second, the food while awesome, is a bit pricier than it should be. $18 for a steak tip plate? Come on guys. You advertise some good drink specials but charge an arm and a leg for entrees. In short, this place has awesome potential, but they need to either be sure they run the Wii every night (AS ADVERTISED) or not have it at all. And you can afford to cut some of the food prices down. Other than that great place, looking forward to seeing what they come up with next.

Surprisingly great hamburgers and great waitstaff. I would come back to this plae

For a pub, the food was excellent. For a restaurant.. really good. Seafood casserole was great. Stir fry was good too (sauce was good, just a little too much of it). The dragon berry mojito was really good too. Waitstaff was great. Good, upbeat vibe.

This is one of those reviews where you wish yelp had 1/2 stars...because it isn't quite a 4 star, but is slightly over a 3 star.... Went here on a Tuesday night as a group of 5. Our server (can't remember her name) young, blond was excellent. Drink prices are not bad at all $2.50 (with tax) for bottled domestic beer (we went around 8) Shared 2 appetizers...nachos (very good & different, with banana peppers on them) and the loaded baked potato fries (fries with cheese & bacon....I've had much better elsewhere) I got the "phu-phu platter" which included - 2 chicken & wild mushroom rangoons with hoison sauce- just chicken & mushroom inside a fried wonton-did not taste very seasoned -2 fresh buffalo mozzerella wontons- cheese inside wonton w/ pomodoro sauce- not hard to mess up -2 panko encrusted herb chicken tenders with vanilla honey dijon aioli- again the chicken did not taste season but the ailoi was fantastic -2 honey habanero bbq chicken tenders with gorgonzola creme fraiche- when I ordered this, I asked the serve if it was spicy and she said it was. However, when I tasted it, it just tasted like sweet bbq sauce to me... The others in my party had a cheese pizza and hamburgers. I tried a bite of a bacon cheeseburger and it was actually very good! All in all, typical bar food that tries to be more upscale than it really is.

In regard to the last comment - the Wii is always available to play. If no one's there to play it, they put the T.V. on (mostly sports). If you want to play, just ask the bartender to turn it on. The food is a little pricey, but good and the drinks are pretty strong. There is some outside seating. They also have a dart board and tons of board/trivia games.

TRIVIA NIGHTS Tuesdays and Thursdays. A great trivia night with fun questions and an awesome music round. The food is more exciting then your average pub. 7 different types of french fries, tasty sandwiches, prices reasonable. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is sometimes the servers are a bit forgetful.

Fun place to visit. Drinks are a deal and the big screen Wii game is good fun. The bartender and owner were both very nice. ( The owner's knowledge of the Wii games was a bit scary, but quite impressive.) As others have posted, this is the place for a well priced drink. They also make good tropical concoctions, I am told. The menu was large and looked great but we were there for a quick visit so we will have to try the Seaside's food another time. We will be back. I understand there is a move afoot to to get the Man vs. Food guy to take the "I Dare You" Seaside Pub Challenge.

drinks were gross but strong. waitresses were rude when it was time to leave at 1. don't let people order drinks at 12:50 then to literally take their drinks out of their hands.

I had a great time when I went here! The drinks are strong and MUCH cheaper than anywhere else I have been on the Cape. I had the steak tips which were a little pricey, but my goodness they were worth every penny! My boyfriend got a burger which was very reasonably priced and looked amazing. The service was amazing. I figured that because we were sitting outside we would be forgotten, but our waitress was constantly checking up on us and making sure all of our needs were met. I wish I had time to go back but the summer went by too soon! I know I will frequent this place next summer!

A trip to Cape Cod would not be complete without a visit to the Seaside Pub. The chef is wicked talented and the menu is always a delight - with entrees that appeal to your home cooked meat and potatoes hankering or a more adventurous side. The drink selection is awesome and the mojitos are to die for. The staff is also warm and friendly. Overall a great experience for a night out.

We had dinner last night here with friends who live locally. They said "it's just a bar but the food is amazing". They were right. Atmosphere is blah, and nobody comes here for that. Food is off the hook!!! I seriously did not know what to order, could have closed my eyes and pointed at a menu item and would have been just as happy. We started with wings, loaded baked potato fries, and I had the Cape Codder (?) salad. A small. It was a big small. Very fresh and flavorful. The Parmesan peppercorn dressing was the best I've ever had. All of their dressings are made in house. I ordered the rib eye steak with gnocchi and Gorgonzola sauce. I ordered the steak without the Cajun seasoning. It was perfect. Especially with my leftover Parmesan peppercorn dressing! The gnocchi was perfect, and the Gorgonzola sauce also had thin sliced onion, garlic, diced tomato, and wilted spinach. I took half of it home there was so much food. Service was a little slow because as far as I could see there were only two cooks in the kitchen. Not slow enough to be ridiculous, just to be aware of. There were a few other tables with good size parties, plus the bar, and our server was hustling the entire time. I would rather wait for my food and have it be excellent (which is was) than have the chefs rush and sacrifice quality! My husband ordered a specialty burger with chorizo and a fried egg and said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had. I've never heard him say that about a burger. I will definitely return here my next trip!

I really don't understand the reviews of this place. My husband and I came here for a late night dinner, expecting wonderful things. His fish tacos were awful. Stale tortillas and very little fish. My sandwich (BLT) was ok. Fries were ok. Everything overpriced. Ten dollars for fried pickle chips? Waitress was hard to find, despite it not being busy at all. Maybe an off night? I don't know.

Pub atmosphere, but very good food! Great menu with plenty of variety and even some more fancier options. Get the Seaside stir fry with chicken and shrimp. Sooo delicious!! They also have a good dark and stormy for those who like that drink :)

Seaside Pub is a great place to eat, whether you're visiting Hyannis with your family or just friends. If you're going to buy an appetizer, get the fried calamari. It's the best I had in Cape Cod, and I ate a lot of freaking calamari. The burgers are really good, cooked to perfection. If you can't decide which one to order, there's an option to build your own. Two flops occurred during my visit. My BF ordered a coconut mojito and got a regular one. I ordered truffle butter fries and was given the traditional ones instead. Regardless, we kept both items because they were so delicious. However, they lose a star for not only making 1 error, but 2. I would definitely visit when I'm in Hyannis again. Very delicious!

Walking with a friend down Main Street on a Friday at 11pm. Stopped at 3 bars and they all stopped serving food and told us to go here. Walking in was very off-putting. It's a young, loud, obnoxious crowd with loud music and sticky tables. I really didn't want to stay but no where else was open. First we seated ourselves because the hostess was nowhere to be seen. When she finally came over we asked for menus and she had a lot of attitude. Leaned over the half wall to give us the menus. Um? Looking at the menu and judging from the environment, I didn't want to spend too much. We ordered drinks from the waitress that were really good, so if the drinks are good I figured I could try the food and not just get an app. I couldn't commit to anything except the Baked Chicken Something which was $18. It took awhile for out food to come, but when it did we were very surprised. The presentation was great, I applaud the chef. Then I tried one bite and it was absolutely amazing. It was baked chicken with cheese and tomato, in what they call a tuscan sauce on top of a bed of zucchini noodles (which I've never tried before. Now I'm obsessed). The zoodles were cut like... lillypads? instead of spaghetti and I liked the texture. I was full but I kept eating cause it was so good! The bread with it was fresh and good as well. One of the best meals I've ever had. We ended up getting 3 double shots each which were also very good; they did not skimp out on liquor. I really hated the environment, the crowd of people and music. I did not appreciate out bitchy hostess but our waitress was fine. I really wanted to leave and just starve for the night but I was very impressed by the drinks and the food. Without the food being so amazing I'd swear to never return. The food and drinks are the sole reason this place gets 4 stars and not 1. I'll be back for that dish again. (Can't find the name online on yelp, their Facebook, or their website)

I don't think of this so much as a seafood pub but rather a pub which has some seafood on the menu. Also, if I could give bonus points for the most creative ways to add more bacon to menu items, they win hands down. I came here with a large group on a Saturday evening. While we had a reservation, it was before it got busy, so we had no problems waiting, or being seated. In fact, we were able to rearrange our setup more conveniently. You have a view outside to the sidewalks of Hyannis from just about every table if you want to people-watch. The menu has a lot; start in the back with the cocktails and beer list. There's something for everyone on both the cocktail and beer lists; the cocktails are generously sized and reasonably priced. Next comes the decision-making trying to find something from all those menu options. I opted to build a burger with Swiss cheese and Irish bacon (they have 2 types of bacon available for your burgers). It was ordered medium, and it came out medium-well. It tasted fine, though I would have liked a little more "char" on it, leading me to believe it was grilled rather than flame-grilled/broiled. i also opted for the loaded fries, which come with cheese and (wait for it...) bacon, served with a side of sour cream and garnished with chopped scallions. Everyone else in our group also enjoyed their appetizers and dinners, and especially the soups. Service was fast, friendly, and extremely professional. We had a great waiter.

we are coming for vacation. We chose this restaurant from yelp and it surprised us. A really good experience!!! Also the customer service is great!

I was not sure what to expect when I walked into the Seaside Pub. The ratings were great but the place and menu reminded me of a Denny's or Chili's. While the place certainly has a bit of a "chain" or diner aesthetic, the food and friendliness far exceeds the first impression. After reading a nice review on Yelp about the drunken fish and chips, and because something in my body really needs fish and chips when I'm in Cape Cod, I went for it. An extremely large piece of fresh cod goodness arrived at my table in a golden crunchy batter, and served with a heaping plate of fries. It wasn't healthy, but it exceeded the typical small cod / pre-made frozen pieces of fish at other places. The meal was fresh and large in portion size. My server also was attentive and friendly, making the overall experience a good one.

Asked for two burgers and water with lemon to go. They brought some kind of sparkling glass bottled water without asking obviously so she could change more. I told her we didn't want those she took them away but then got an attitude would look at us or talk to us again. She brought other waters but no lemons and was avoiding us so we went and got the lemons then she said "Can you not touch our shit you little bitch?" When I said we were leaving another waitress said "yea just be a baby about it". I called to complain and this woman is claiming to be the manager, she laughed at me on the phone and yelled I have witnesses I have witnesses. At this point I just hung up.

Drunken Fish N Chips, my people. Drunken Fish N Chips. Which, is not to say, that I was drunk while consuming their fish n chips (athough I did enjoy an exceedingly freaky fabulous cocktail called a "Mango Paradise" WHILE enjoying said fish n chips) but, rather, that one of the dishes they serve is called: Drunken Fish N Chips. I mean...where do they catch this supernaturally large cod? Beautifully battered and so ample as to be reminiscent of something Fred Flintstone might have had on his dinner plate (I'm a dork). Amazing. I'm sure they have other wonderful dishes. I'm even certain my dining companion enjoyed one of those dishes. I just have no idea what it might have been as from the moment my plate was placed before me, my sole focus was on the drunken battered, fresh to death, golden fried deliciousness that was to be my dinner. It WAS my first meal on the Cape. And, it WAS the first bite of Fish N Chips I'd had in many a moon. But, still, I feel certain it was pretty much the golden snitch of pub food. Which, is to say, exciting once spotted and ensuring complete victory once obtained (I mentioned I'm a dork?). Yes. The sort of pub grub that will leave you feeling victorious. That's right: Victorious. And, inexplicably wanting to exclaim: "Hot damn" while squeezing your dining companions hand and pounding your fist on the table. Surely, it's not just me? Surely not. Get to it!

HUGE GLUTEN FREE MENU! I had fish and chips and an angry orchard. Didn't get sick and it was so tasty. I was so nice to have fish and chips! Would definitely go back.
(5)John M.
Completely underrated. I frequent this bar because of the quality food at fair prices. Standard beer selection. $3 miller light, bud light, pabst blue. It's not a summer hot spot so you can always get a seat and have a solid dinner without waiting
(5)Jeff J.
Drunken Irish tacos are the Bomb!! Awesome corned beef with apple slaw in a taco?....Yep and its ridiculously good. One of the few places you'll find serving food after 10pm. The best bar pizza ever!! 2 for one Sunday night pizza. Bernie needs to smile a little and try to be more friendly if that's Bernie in the Bernie for President Pic (see Facebook page). Last time we were here was a month ago on a Sunday night and were totally satisfied with the food and service from the staff on that night (different staff). Friday night we went in and the food was awesome but Bernie is blahh or maybe she was burned out having a bad day.

I had a big dinner of MEH. Its a bar. The table we got on the edge was broken in the middle of the seat and the table was rocking about 4 inches on a broken center mount. The food frankly sucked, but was priced like it should have been memorable. Two average dinners and two drinks was $75 with a tip. There are SO many better places along that street, they just happen to be on the corner. Move along, don't bother.

Favorite place to go!! The black and Bleu ribeye is to die for! Staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable . Would recommend !!
(5)Christine T.
It's not the most aesthetically appealing place to dine in, and has no real ambiance. Looks a little divey and the kind of place that once the lights go off on a Friday night college kids will invade the scene and make a mess of the place. Which is cool if you're into that sort of thing. BUT, Once you get your food that all goes out the window. Their food is different, fresh, inventive and unique compared to any other pub I've been to! It's not your usual pub fare. Great portion sizes. The service isn't anything spectacular. We normally go in for the AWESOME 1/2 priced apps deal, but made the mistake of going in on a busy Friday night. Our server had only two tables who were pretty much done eating. She forgot our drinks twice and I thought 'Oh, okay maybe she's busy. I know how it is" but NOPE. She stood on the line chatting up the cooks. That was a bummer, but such is life. Great beer selection. Lots of TVs, but kind of lousy to try and hold a conversation in. Basically: come for the food and sit at the bar. You won't be disappointed.
(3)Sylvia G.
I agree with many of the reviews. The sports bar atmosphere is not really congruent fantastic food made with care.
(5)Chad P.
I trusted Yelp on this one and the reviews were right one. Came in for an early dinner with the family. The kids ate all their dinner; side note kids menu is perfect for picky kids. Fish and Chips were great and my wife's Tippy Cod was great . Had awesome service. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The pretzel stick appetizer was the best appetizer I've ever had anywhere! Simply delicious. The burger was good but not great. The service was really good, overall a nice place to go out and eat.
