Came here for the beer selection. They had KBS on draft, which is an automatic extra star in my book. Other than that, they have a some decent beers. They also offer half price lunch specials if you sit at the bar, which is awesome! The clam chowder was okay, but you can find better in the area. Their pizza with the beer crust, however, was really excellent. Great atmosphere and decent beer selection for the area.

The food was fine and the service was fine, but the old musty smell in the whole places needs to be cleaned. We only stopped here because of the traffic was dead stopped for miles. This place has potential, but it needs some cleaning up. Also, my beer was skunked, but I did not want to send it back, so I just paid for it.

I've only been here at night, but this bar is probably my favorite on the Cape. Good live bands (though it's weird they play in the center of the dance floor), great beer selection (I had one from michigan, my home state!) and spacious booths where you can escape if you want to be heard over the noise of the music. Can't speak for the food but the night time vibe is great.

OMG BEST FISH AND CHIPS I'VE HAD!!!! This place is so good... my bf had the fish and chips and it was so good. I have the Mahi Mahi tacos they were good. Rice wasn't that good but than again I'm Spanish and we like the rice a certain way but it was really good. I would go back there in a heart beat!

Great meal and service. Would send friends there. I had the turkey melt and it was great. Service was prompt but not intrusive

Excellent bison burger. Really good (albeit limited selection given its name) choice of brews. Good service and decor.

Seated outdoors pretty quickly for a busy night. Enjoyed a new Allagash beer, along with some lettuce wraps, and a bourbon steak salad. Friendly staff, great music... will definitely return.

The food was great. The prices are better than most places in the Cape. Nice selection of meals for the little ones too. Drink choices are nice. I had the Bangers & Mash and it was awesome. The wife enjoyed her meal and my 2 yr old destroyed her Shepherds Pie! I'd give it 5 stars if the waitress would've been a bit nicer. Seems normal in the Cape though. Good food, subpar service.

First time here, last time here. Stanley Cup finals and we cheer for a goal. We then get told we can't cheer. Why is the game on 4 TVs and 20 year old projection screen? We were told we wont be served any more drinks. Been here 10 minutes. Worst bar on Cape cod. #1776 #yorktown #teaparty #georgewashington

Food was good but service was awful OMG our waitress brunette was horrible. Wife had fish and chips with onion rings said is was good, I had steak bomb was good overall but bread was hard and small portion of fries. Kids had Mac and cheese and grilled cheese they ate them both. Will not go back due to service walked is had to wait to be seated so we waited and waited like 10 mins and place is empty Tuesday around 3-4 pm, annoyed already sat down and the poor service started from there she was not a tentative at all walked by us multiple times forgot napkins forgot extra tater sauce keep walking by without asking us for refills as we are dehydrated. Usually good places bring kids food out first to keep them calm but her attitude and demeanor was horrible.

We were very, very happy with this pub. We are visiting the area, which we came to find is the off season for Cape Cod and were struggling to find a place with a kitchen open late plus a full bar. We picked this restaurant because it had good reviews on YELP and had a late night kitchen. Our server was Cassie and she was sweet as she could be. We are from the south so we have come to expect hospitality and manners and we definitely found it here. We happened to stumble in on trivia night, which was fun because it was not the typical, I wanna run for my life because it's so loud and obnoxious trivia night. We did not participate but it was fun regardless. I ordered the blackened mahi tacos, which were very good. The fish was fried, which I was not expecting since it said blackened, but still very tasty. I asked for a side of broccoli, which was not on the menu, but they made it happen! The menu states that if they don't have it on the menu they will try to accommodate what you would like. We found this to be true because my boyfriend is the pickiest eater on earth and they made him a custom chicken sandwich!! We appreciated it even more because we were pushing the final hour of the kitchen being open. I've waited tables in my life so I truly value the service here. The atmosphere was fun and cozy. I'm glad we stumbled upon BBC! We definitely will return on our next visit.

Came here for a casual afternoon drinks and appetizers. While I understand how others may be disappointed (as evidenced by some of the 3 star less reviews), I think that you get exactly what one would expect from a bar/pub type of restaurant. The appetizers are typical bar food- we got the buffalo wings and we're NOT disappointed. The drink menu is big, and the atmosphere is busy and lively, while the decor is cozy and very much reminds one of an authentic British pub. Go here if you are looking for a fun atmosphere with decent bar food and lots of drink options.

Loved the atmosphere, very private for a pub. The shepherds pie was delicious and the beer selection was great too! I would recommend for a casual lunch or dinner! We will be back for sure!!!!

On Father's Day, we visited BBC and couldn't have been happier! Firstly, their bud light was whoa-cheap! It was only $3.75 for a 20 oz of tap beer. Where can you get that in a chain restaurant? Additionally, all three meals that were ordered, were made to perfection. I got mahi mahi made for a person with food allergies and they were so accommodating. My dad got the meatloaf and he was extremely happy - he said, " it's real meat hand pressed, not that patty junk." And, my fiancé got the fish and chips and devoured it! Needless to say, we left with smiles on our face. The waitress had a great sense of humor and that is always a treat

Food is good. They nice selection of beer. Service is spotty. Last night 5 of us went there for drinks. Was told that it would be a 15-minute wait. After 35 minutes, and several groups being seated before us, we asked about our seats. They didn't have our name on the list anymore. We just left after that.

Only came here for the beers and their beer selection was ok. They offered a few microbrews but a little more then /2 of their menu was well known beer makers (Sam, Heineken, Coors, Bud). Staff was nice and service seemed good.

Good pub restaurant atmosphere. Good service( did have to ask for a drink refill). Food was excellent. Had the steak tips, cooked just right excellent. Also had down east cider...so good.

Did I just walk into 1997? My eardrums are being seduced (assaulted) by the likes of Third Eye Blind, Sister Hazel and a mashup of 90's alt-rock that only a dedicated cover band could truly do justice. Winter Saturday nights in Hyannis seem to be a little slim on the pickings. BBC had beer, they had mildly watery Jack & Gingers in plastic cups, they had some kind of strawberry margarita shot that tasted like liquefied jolly ranchers. The scene was frat party meets D&D meets Scottish Biker Bar. This was actually pretty amusing when you start getting dance offers from both the keg master and the dungeon master-- nothing like getting your sway on to the Gin Blossoms with the Cape's finest. Maybe our trip was an anomaly?? Kind of doubt it. I'm sure season and time of day play a huge part in the experience here I'm just not sure I'll be giving it a second go around.

I've only been to the BBC in Plymouth, and for some reason the menu at the time was very limited. Therefore I did not have high hopes about the one in Hyannis, but I think this one will get added to our regulars list. Went on Halloween, bcs it seemed like the sort of place that might actually have something going on. Apparently their festivities didn't start til 10, so Joe and I were the only patrons in costume. But the staff was dressed up, so it was still a fun time. We decided to get drinks to celebrate: a caramel appletini for me, and a hot rum cider for Joe. Both were delicious. Usually when we each order something, one person "wins." Well, when it came to drinks, we were both winners at the bbc. awww. We got the soft pretzel appetizer, bcs you cannot go wrong with soft pretzels as far as I'm concerned. They were delicious! Well, the pretzels were pretzels, but the beer-cheddar dipping sauce was delicious. I got French onion soup bcs I've been craving it. It was spectacular. Really well made. Joe got a veggie burger, which had excellent flavor, but was a little mushy, as veggie burgers are wont to be when made by nonexperts. The sweet potato fries were excellent though. We also split a pizza, which was my least favorite thing. Nothing super bad about it, but nothing great. The sauce tasted like straight up canned tomatoes. Tasted good as leftovers though. And if you don't eat meat, you'll appreciate getting an option that you can vegetarianize. The ambience was nice. Classic Americanish take on a pub. Nice roomy booths. Service was decent. It may have been a little pricey, but I'm not sure. I don't order alcohol a lot, so bills w booze always seem steep to me. Like I said, this one will go on our regulars list.

Good selection of Draft Beers and bottled. OK pub grub. Pizzas not bad. Live entertain, off season Hyannis, not much else. Take away, check your bag. Got fish and chips to go. No tartar sauce or malt vinegar. Still comfortable as an old shoe type of place.

ok so here it is. I usually go to the BBC every time I'm in Hyannis, which is usually once a year. So I go in yesterday afternoon 7/26/15, at about 12:15 pm. There were like 6 or 7 people at the bar and maybe 5 tables had folks at them, as well as a few people eating on the patio. Thus not busy at all. I ask the host for a quiet table in the corner because I wanted to read the sunday paper and eat a meal. She proceeds to sit me right in the middle of the dam restaurant next to some loud obnoxious folks. I sat their at least 15 minutes and was never approached by a wait staff. Got up and left, ate at another restaurant down the street.

The food was fabulous, as well as our server. However since were still sitting here and close to the bar I wanted to review and take a star for the bartender who's having a very loud conversation about used cars and how she has to drive to NH so frequently with one person sitting there. I assume this person is a friend rather than a customer, but who knows. I feel terribly for the other patrons at the bar who look annoyed that they are being whole heartedly ignored by this bartender. I would leave if I were them and go elsewhere, so they are better people than I! Thank you very much for our server being wonderful, and the kitchen for the delicious food :)

I loved the BBC when it first opened, but it has been slipping in quality each year since. They still maintain a great beer selection which is a positive. The food of late though leaves much to be desired. The first few years the food was solid, everything I tired from apps to main courses were well executed. As of last year though I began noticing a big dropoff in quality with the food I was receiving. Last time I was their my party ordered spinach and artichoke dip as an app and it came out lukewarm. The oils in the dip were pooling on top after separating from the cheese in the dip. It appeared very unappetizing and it was. For a main I ordered the fish tacos ,which I have ordered in the past and which I liked very much, but not this time. The tacos were barely warm not hot and poorly put together, most of the ingredients that were supposed to be in the taco ended up on the plate. I'm giving it 3 stars because it still has a fun atmosphere, and because of their beer selection. Also I still have hope that they can turn it around in the Kitchen.

This place was pretty good. I enjoyed my salad here and the coconut fried shrimp. My hubby loved the beer and their mixed drinks were good and effective. We had great service! I have to say I LOVE their booths! It is like being in your own little private nook! If I ever come back to this part of Hyannis I will definitely be back!!!

Great bartender made us feel like we were at our hometown spot. Hopping crowd showed up for Trivia festivities, while every other joint on street slept through the night. The place to be Tuesdays after dark on the mid-Winter Cape.

This is a pretty popular tourist spot on main st in Hyannis and has a very good beer selection as the name suggests. The interior was dark and I had the sense our table hadn't been cleaned in between parties. While the service was average at best, the food more than made up for the other drawbacks. We began with the Macho Nachos with chili which were fantastic and a very large portion. I ordered the chipotle chicken and avocado bap (British roll comparable to ciabatta). The chicken was tender and flavorful while the chipotle aioli added just the right amount of heat. Add on crispy bacon and fresh avocado and this was a pretty darn perfect sandwich. My girlfriend had the blackened mahi mahi fish tacos served with jalapeño guacamole which she said was one of the best fish tacos she had ever had. Everything was very fresh and well prepared and I would recommend this place again as long as you aren't expecting a bright and cheery atmosphere.

In cape cod for the weekend. Asked to try a local place and I was brought to bbc. The restaurant was dark kind of like an upscale dive bar. Anyway the food was average bar food nothing spectacular nothing New England. However they have great gluten free options. I also had a 12 dollar beer with a very high alcohol content. If your into that kinda stuff try it. If your in town there has to be better places.

On this, my second trip to the BBC, I called ahead for a party of nine. They were accommodating and seated us immediately upon arrival. Our drink order was taken quickly (mostly soft drinks, though I got an Allagash White). Our waitress was very nice. She did screw up one of the kids' orders, with a grilled cheese instead of a cheeseburger. Honest mistake, but it took a little too long to replace it. Typical pub fare here. Nothing to write home about, but not bad. I had the meatloaf. Pretty hard to screw that up. My wife had the Jack Wrap, which she said was good. Last time, I had the shepard's pie, which was quite good. So, if you're looking for a break from all the ridiculously good seafood, this is not a bad stop for a brew and some comfort foods.

The atmosphere was good and the girl at the door Mel or Meg was awesome! Not a fan of the fact that they do not serve doubles...what type of an establishment does that?! You have a full bar and no doubles?! The food was ok and the beer selection was drab. If I do make it back to that area, I won't go back to this place.

I traveled to Cape Cod from PA and stopped in here for a few drinks. Great atmosphere and nice/witty bartender. She made us feel right at home so we decided to stay for dinner. Pretty decent food-we got BBC burger and the fish & chips. Would recommend!

45 mins for a pizza? I could had one delivered in a shorter amount of time. And you made me wait for a seat because you were having your weekly trivia night. So many empty tables and we waited a additional 15 minutes. Never again!

Food was average. Sampled several apps and they lacked flavor. Service was slow (considering the restaurant was not busy) and atmosphere was unappealing. The inside smells like beer and the tables and menu were sticky. Would not recommend.

Bbc is family friendly authentic British pub. Food to please all kinds of tastes . Always a great meal when your just not in the moms to cook. A family favorite is the bacon pizza on whole grain . Extensive beer list and great drinks.

This is the 2nd BBC I've been two and it met my expectations - menu was the same and food tasted just as I remembered. I love the gluten-free menu and all the vegetarian items can easily be made vegan (gluten-free veggie pizza with no cheese is my go-to). The best part is the gluten-free beer selection - they have practically every kind, including organic options. My friends and I went to this location on a Tuesday night and ended up joining in on the Trivia Night, which was a total blast. Really well organized, great music, challenging questions, good prizes - 2 hours flew by! I would definitely return for that.

Dinner for two on a week day pre Memorial Day evening. The fare, fish and chips and a burger with onion rings, was acceptable. The food here is generally predictable, not fantastic yet not terrible. Nice selection of beer on tap. Mixed drinks seem heavy on the mix and light on the alcohol. The service left a bit to be desired with long waits between drinks, orders, delivery, check and payment. Better get their act in order with Memorial Day and the summer crowds in the wings.

I went here and failed to order a single beer. Really. I don't know whether I was just expecting too much from the name of the place, or perhaps it was the disappointment in learning that they actually had no Cains....after I literally squealed out loud at the Cain's poster that greeted us upon arrival, as I fondly remembered many happy pints consumed in Liverpool (home of Cains brewery) when I was across the pond for football (soccer) weekends, or maybe I've just been spoiled by our great beer options back home... The food menu, however, offered plenty of enticing options for our mixed group of both finicky and adventurous eaters. Jalapeno-fried pickles followed by one hamburger, one meatloaf sandwich, one chicken and leek pasty, and some bourbon steak tips. The pasty was kind of meh and the portion was on the small side...steak tips and burger were as expected...onion rings were great. Winners: the fried pickle app and meatloaf sandwich. Conveniently located in a prominent spot on Main Street, this is an easy option if you have a range of tastes to please.

This place is awesome for gluten-free people! My husband and I came here by chance to see if they had gluten free beer. Not only did they have the best gluten free beer I've ever had but they also have the best gluten free pizza I've ever had! The manager came over to explain the different gluten free beers they offer (the man is a beer expert) and he was so detailed with the different degrees of GF beers and intolerances - he really knew his stuff! The food is delicious - we came back two times on our three day weekend in the Cape. For anyone with gluten intolerances, I highly recommend the gluten free pizza.

Stumbled upon this establishment with my family during a recent visit to the Cape, and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. The menu was quite diverse, and not at all what I expected from a "British Pub" when we walked in. The food was fantastic - I had the mixed grill (small portions of grilled shrimp, bbq chicken breast, and steak tips) that were all cooked well and quite tasty. Wife had a baked cod from the list of daily specials that was cooked nicely. Oldest daughter had chicken Tikka Masala, a surprisingly excellent version considering it came from a British Pub. Lastly, my youngest daughter had another daily special - the salmon wellington - that was amazing, with a light white wine cream sauce on the side. The service was excellent, thanks to a pleasant hostess and a very efficient waitress. The restaurant had some interesting decor to look at while we waited for our food. If I had any complaint at all, it would be that there weren't enough televisions - there were only two in the main eating area - one too far away, and one right over my head. Next time I'm back in Hyannis, I will definitely stop by again.

My fiancé and I visited the BBC after Embargo (see that review if you wish). Honestly, it was late. We just sat ourselves. No wait staff ever came over to us, which was fine. We kinda wanted to be left alone. My fiancé just went to the bar. They also have black Sambuca!!! So I was very happy. We would definitely return for a more traditional a food and beverage visit.

  • Cathy L.

We left Embargo's very unhappy and was looking for a great place to turn our night around...despite the fact that our evening had nearly been ruined by the rude bartenders at Embargo's, we had high hopes for the BBC and they did not let us down. We had drinks in hand within minutes of walking inside...the bartenders were fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect for what we were looking for. BBC saved our girls weekend!

My husband and I went to Cape Cod for a vacation and BBC was the first restaurant on our vacation. Stopped for a lunch. My husband ordered 'Korean BBQ Pork Naan's'. As a man who married to Korean, he never passes "Korean" flavor whenever he sees Korean (style) food on menu. My opinion- It was OK but it definitely did not have any Korean BBQ flavor. If you are hesitating to order this food because of unfamiliar Korean style BBQ sauce but if you like traditional American pulled pork, go ahead to order. I am Korean so I know what Korean BBQ taste like. It was totally the ordinary traditional pulled pork on Naan topped with coleslaw (on menu it was described as 'Kimchi slaw but you can trust me on this. There is no Kimchi alike flavor). I ordered Fish & Chips. Haddock was fresh and french fries were thick and crispy. Their coleslaw was pretty good with just right amount of mayo.

  • Allison A.

The food was good. I recommend the New Castle Chili & the lettuce wraps. The service, however, was horribly slow. We sat at a high top table adjacent to the bar & were served by a very nice young lady who took her time. Perhaps I'm a bit impatient, hence the 4 star review. I'll come back & sit at the bar next time.

  • William S.

I should have known not to go into this place when the sign said British Beer Company and the umbrellas were all advertising Guinness. It took us over an hour to get served, and when we finally were my wife's Pizza was half cooked to the point where she had to send it back. As if all that wasn't bad enough, I had to go find our waitress who was MIA for 20 minutes in order to get the check. The food was mediocre at best, but they do get one star for at least taking the half frozen pizza off the bill. Steer clear of this place if you're smart.

    (1)
  • Ellen H.

Three stars as a place to go for drinks - would have gotten four stars if there were more central seating; I don't want to tuck away into a cubby to have a beer! Magner's on tap is the number one we come here, and this past time we were able to grab two seats at the bar in front of the TV for the Bruins game, so that was a total bonus. The atmosphere here is always changing - sometimes you run into locals, other times you run into a-holes, other times you run into out-of-towners who strike up a convo and have a good time! There's no "set crowd" here, which makes it kind of fun. One thing I do actually really like about BBC as a bar is the bathrooms - they are easy to get to and pretty clean for a bar where more than half of the customers seem to already be wasted. Not bad! Even though I wouldn't call it the best of the best, it's good for Main St and it's a nice place to go for a night out IF you can get a chair.

Went and got lunch on a windy cape winter day. I was amazed at the menu, nice prices for the dishes. Not to mention the beer list is extravagant.. I was so excited about the food so I decided to go again. This time we went during the summer with friends. My husband and I ordered the pasties. They where terrible nothing like described. The service was good but it was crowded in there. I recommend going for sandwiches only. Also its a happening joint to grab a drink and listen to some live music. Again not so good for a fancy restaurateur.. most of the food was frozen. But its a happening joint to hang at during the summer.

We came into Hyannis on 4th of July to see the fireworks (huge disappointment btw), but I digress. After trying to find parking (that was a challenge) we decided to try the first place we happened upon that didn't have a wait, or long of a wait. The BBC was able to seat us outside right away, so we agreed. Our waiter was great, friendly, funny and just a nice dude. We started with the pulled pork naan. While it took awhile for it come out, it was delicious when it did arrive. Our meals followed suit, with me getting the lobster quesadilla and the hubby the steak tips. I wish there had been more lobster, but it was still delicious. Hubby enjoyed his meal, though the steak was more medium well than medium. They had this strawberry organic beer that was amazing and I wish I could have bought a case of it! Overall we had a very pleasant meal and would be willing to come back again.

I really liked the atmosphere and the really big selection of imported beers. I went on trivia night which is really fun to play and can get you some gift cards. The food was superb. I was told they had some of the best burgers around and they definitely live up to it. The burger was good size, excellent seasoned fries and the coconut cream cae was really yummy too.

Love the food! The burger was cooked to perfection according to our specifications. I was very satisfied. The Cesar salad was good but the fries were just average. The hostess quickly rushed us to a table in the noisy bar section without asking us if we wanted a booth. The waitress was okay.

Was on vacation in Centerville and decided to visit Main Street on a Saturday night to see if any of the bars were a good time. When walking by, we instantly saw that this place had a pretty large crowd inside, so we decided to give it a shot. First, we weren't let in the front door on Main Street for whatever reason. We actually had to walk through a convenience store a few doors down in order to get to the back parking lot where the back entrance was. Once we were there, we had to wait in a 10 person line for like five minutes where they were checking two forms of ID, which is quite ridiculous for a place on Cape Cod. Once we finally got inside, the crowd was mostly 35 and up, something my girlfriend and I wasn't expecting from the amount of security at the door and the noise heard from the street. Also, it wasn't very crowded once we finally got in. The line at the door was definitely not needed and probably only exists to get peoples attention (got me). The one positive part of the BBC is the amount of beers they have on tap, which was about 25 different kinds, and a lot I had never heard of. The beers were about $4 to $6, not sure about liquor though. That was basically that Saturday night, BUT we did see that they do trivia on Tuesday nights, so we decided to come one more time. The Tuesday night Trivia was really what got the BBC the 3rd star. It was a lot of fun and the DJ did a great job of keeping everyone involved, making sure everyone knew how many points they had, and also coming up with some good questions. I would definitely go again for trivia night.

Everything was great about this place. My wife and I both had the Chicken and Ale Pie. Delicious and the veggies and mashed potatoes were prepared perfectly. The British pub atmosphere made us miss our time in London.

Is it kind of a tourist trap in Hyannis? Yeah, it kind of is. However, I think if you're looking to avoid a tourist-y area, you'd avoid Hyannis altogether. I enjoyed the BBC here. There was a karaoke night and cover band another night during the few days I was in the area. The food is standard pub grub, and the beer selections are quality.

Stopped here for a late lunch on a cold day this November. Most of Hyannis was "closed for the season" so the choices were few and far between. The atmosphere was kinda dark and definitely pub-like. We were greeted promptly and seated at a private booth away from the bar. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We both had the New England Pasty. Turkey, cornbread stuffing and cheddar mashed potatoes all rolled up in a flaky pie crust. It's like an English version of a calzone, only better. Seriously one of the best meals I have ever had! Cheers!

food = yuck! The baked brie was awful, awful, awful. I typically finish EVERYTHING I'm given. In fact, I'm a huge left overs person. Myself and the person I was sharing this with couldn't even eat it. It came out like a log which we didn't expect and it was greasy. It was almost like someone took brie and wrapped it in pillsbury crescent rolls and stuck it in the oven. Props to the beer sampler - that was great. I suggested the strawberry beer (it's just tasty and fun) and the Allagash black was by the far the best. ONLY GO HERE FOR THE BEER - NOT THE FOOD!

My husband is a Brit so maybe I'm being overly critical. I got so excited when I saw they had pies and pasties on the menu but unfortunately for me they put bacon in everything and I don't eat pork. Even the chicken and leek pasty had bacon (which defeats the point of having a chicken option). My hubby said the fish buttie was pretty good. I had the Wensleydale salad which was decent and definitely didn't need to be topped with grilled chicken (tenders?).

Not only did they OVERCHARGE us $100.. they took over 50 minutes to correct the errors. I had to ask them 4 times to show me the list of items on the bill. No apology. Just nasty looks and a failed attempt to overcharge a few suckers from out of town. Nice job British Beer Company. Everyone double check your bill down to the last cent or better yet, don't go here. The first time we had a few drinks, they brought us someone elses credit card and bill in the spring time. When I showed the manager on duty that we were overcharged us by $100, she said nothing. I said, "don't you have anything to say??" but the girl could not wipe the angry look off her face. No apology. Nothing.

Great beer list. Great day bartender... And, although they do have free wifi, when every website that even has a minimal amount of gay content is blocked with a "pornography" error on it, it makes you wonder about the mgmt beeing a bit anti-gay...

Long story short, the food here is really good. But our waitress was so inattentive and rude that I'd hesitate to recommend this place to groups. I ordered something called a pasty, I believe, which is basically meat and vegetables in a puff pastry dough. It was fantastic. My friend had the curry chicken. Also delicious. Many beers on tap and they will gladly bring you a sample. Drinks were strong. Pleased with the varied menu. I know that you shouldn't write off a business because of one bad experience with a server. But I do think that one bad server really reflects on a business- ie, the kind of people they allow to work there. BBC, I will be back someday... and hopefully next time the service will be as good as the food was.

So disappointing! i am a very peaceful person who works in hospitality business, but this place made me really furious!!! 2 stars just for the food! We used to have a tradition to come to this place during the 4th of July weekend with a group of 10-12 people. Last year we experienced a very bad service and everything was slow and bad organized. We have hoped that this year it will be better because we really liked the food there. Unfortunately they messed it up this time even worse. At the end of the dinner we've been waiting for our checks for an hour. Very long wait to sit and for the service, rude waiter, the manager was not helpful as well.

My wife and I go here every year when we head out to the Cape on vacation. Great beer selection (also has Cape Cod Beer on tap). When we asked about drink specials, the server actually told us something that nobody had ever said before: It's against the law for bars to have drink specials in MA. Blew my mind because after so many years asking, nobody actually told us why there were no drink specials. But on to the food. My wife always gets the nachos. They are light on the cheese, so if you want them cheesy, make sure to ask for extra. Otherwise they are pretty good. I always end up getting the BBQ PULLED PORK POGGWHICH. Really awesome and a must try. The bourbon wings are pretty good as well. Weird seating though. Everything in the center of the establishment is high-top tables and chairs. My wife and I like to have our feet on the ground. The booths on the sides are closed off and very tight quarters. I'm a bigger guy and could barely fit in there.

We got a pleasant surprise by coming here this past Saturday night. The free beer samples were a flowin', the live band was actually pretty decent and we walked away with some free beer glasses too. Not too shabby. Also, the bill for three couples, with four appetizers, six meals and lots of drinks still came out under $50 per couple somehow. Our waitress was awesome and even swapped out a couple beers after she brought us some more samples that we liked more than the ones we ordered. Steak tips were awesome, as we're the mozzarella wedges. All around good time, good food and great beers.

Came here for the beer! The Cape Cod Blonde Lager was the best.......but needed to drive, so my selection was limited. Oh by the way free parking in back, don't get a ticket for going over the 2 hour limit on the street. I was going to stick with the beer, but the staff was friendly and ordered some apps, which was good except for the clam chowder. It is good that I know what good chowder taste like, however it was primarily potato soup with a great clam sauce? It would have been perfect, if I had a few clams in the mix? The shrimp and taco apps where okay. I think next time I will just stick with Beer and chatting.

On vacation in Hyannis my friends and I wandered into this lively place after a bit of shopping. The place is large and full of tables, booths and pub style seating. Our waitress seemed as if she would rather have been anywhere else but there. We had to repeat what we had asked for several times, extra lemon on the side, diet pepsi instead of pepsi and so on. We started with the baked brie, which was good, and the Thai lettuce wraps, good also. I had the steak salad. and my friend had the New England Pasty which was turkey, cornbread stuffing and cheddar mashed potatoes stuffed in the pastry type crust. It was like Thanksgiving in a pie! I tasted it and liked it. All in all the food was good, the service not so much. Would I eat here again. Yes. If I was asked where to eat in the area would this be one of the places I thought of first? Probably not. They have a large menu selection so it's great to take kids and the size of the place means no waiting in lines for a table. The dining experience was good just no bells and whistles.

We visited on a rainy day so it was packed. We managed to snag two seats at the bar and ordered a couple of beers and some appetizers. I ordered the Sam Smith Organic and my boyfriend got the Sam Smith Oatmeal, and he said it was the freshest and most delicious Sam Oatmeal he's had. We were both impressed by the beer selection. We ordered the ribs and the nachos for appetizers and both were delicious. We will definitely be back!

This place had the most extensive gluten free menu around. We ordered buffalo wings, lettuce wraps, and Korean BBQ pork for appetizers. For entrees, I got the turkey tips with a Bourbon sauce. It came with fresh mashed cheddar potatoes, and green beans that were fried, which I could have cared for less. My husband got boneless spare ribs, full of flavor and melt-in-your-mouth. All in all, beer flights were good and food was not bad. Prices were inexpensive. We would definitely go again for a fun bar atmosphere.

Mac n cheese was worth missing out on the option of patio dining on a gorgeous day and the Mayflower Winter Oatmeal Stout was equally great. Mac n cheese was beyond good and worth every calorie...I added scallops and bacon :)

beer selection is EPIC. Loads of new brews all the time, nothing like it in Hannis, and only 2 other bars like this on cape(not including the other bbc's) Food is always consistent, and specials change nightly. The food is spectacular, dozen or so different pizzas, good burgers, pastas, fish, great sandwiches and British fare. Prices are pretty good, especially for the quality of food you get. I am a bit of a special case with food, I love big portions, but the BBC serves a correct portion for a normal person, so I wish they had an option on a few items to pay a little more and get a larger portion. Desserts are ok, but used to be better in selection. Also, needs prices on the dessert menu, getting a surprise when my dessert cost more than my burger was a bit of a shock. Music every night, be it a dj or a live band and there is never a cover charge. Problem with the bands though is that it is so loud that you can't even order food or a drink half the time. Also, one of the bartenders is rides every time I go in, but not rude to me or my friends, rude to other staff members. Last thing I want to see is some queen bee talking down to her coworkers while that person is trying to serve me. What's even worse about it is that she was flat wrong each time(4 times so far) and I pointed out that the other bartender was right, and she still gave him a hard time for it, in front of me, effectively insulting the person giving her a tip. Servers are great, happy and attentive. Sometimes though, they hang out near the kitchen door and its hard to get their attention, even when its slow.

Visited here for the first time last weekend with the family. Got there around 5pm on Sunday evening before Memorial Day and it was suprisingly pretty empty. Started with a beer sampler. Four 5oz samples for $8. There were a few to choose from. Also, had a nice draft of Fuller's Porter which was served in an imperial pint glass (20 oz). I saw Mac & Cheese on the menu and had to give it a try. It's only $8, but you can choose a variety of add-ons for a buck each. I chose Irish Rashers (a type of bacon) and carmelized onions. The mac & cheese was amazing! Creamy, rich and a perfect blend of cheeses. The onions were more sauteed than carmelized, but still complimented the meal nicely. Other members of my party got the country fried steak, Pulled Pork Poggwhich (pulled pork stuffed into a bread boule), and a Cobb salad. All were happy with their meal. They have a kids menu too, so don't be afraid to bring the kiddies.... but we were there around 5pm or so...so well before the heavy drinking crowd. The bill was very reasonable... about $70 for 4 adults and 2 kids (who easily shared one kids meal). I'll definitely be back when hanging out on the Cape!

Wow, this place sucks. The food sucks, the prices suck, the portions suck, the only thing that didn't suck was my waitress (the bartender). I ordered the tuna sashimi app., and the steak salad, figuring that I would have a nice little paleo dinner. The app. was horrendous. Shame on me for ordering a tuna sashimi app at a place called British Beer Company, but COME ON!!! They at least could've given me a decent portion. It cost $10 and had about 6 pieces of minuscule tuna triangles on a bed of rotten veggies. The Steak salad was also minuscule. For $13, I thought it would be a man sized portion, it would have been small for the kids menu. Not only that, but the Steak was COLD!! Seriously, how can you mess up a steak salad??? That's how. Total check came out to app $25, tipped 20% for good service, and went down the street to the White Hen Pantry for a Met-Rx Bar. Avoid at all costs!!!

I'd like to give this place negative five stars, but that's not a rating option. The crowd: a homogeneous crowd of white, suburban, meathead, date-rape-ready frat boys in their early 20s and the scantily-clad faux-blonde girls with low self-esteem who love them. God forbid anyone show any personal style - it was like they were carbon copies of each other. The crappy cover band: If i wanted to hear songs by The Steve Miller Band, i'd listen to the mediocre Cape Cod "rock" radio station (that played "Unskinny Bop" twice in one hour yesterday). I'm not sure I fully understand the point of a group of people with semi-decent musical abilities forming a band in order to play other bands' songs. The uber-slow service: It was seriously difficult to get the barely-legal bartender's attention, & even then she took her sweet time. I am not from the area, & am just in town for the weekend. This place left me with a terrible impression of the bar scene/bar crowd in Hyannis. We're thinking about staying in tonight (Friday) & watching Netflix rather than run in to the same heinous demographic at another "nightlife" venue.

Went here last night with the boy. We were instantly greeted and requested a booth, and got one as there weren't many patrons (off season). I am noticed a trend of reviews mainly based on it being packed/busy, and inattentive waitstaff, etc. And some about the food as well. I am writing this on MY MEAL, which was AWESOME. Let me say, I RARELY get burgers out EVER. But I was in the mood, and the Wensleydale burger, which was topped with...dun dun dun... Wensleydale cheese and caramelized onions (sounded awesome!!). They use fresh ground Angus that they cook to order. I ordered medium rare and it came out cooked perfectly ,and super juicy. The cheese I have never experience myself, it was delicious!!! It was a white cheese, slightly resembling feta, but different in flavor, and it was creamy, and it melted well on the burger....but it didn't get "melty," like cheddar/american cheese would (or another similar cheese), it was very tasty and a great accompaniment to the burger. The caramelized onions were wonderful, I personally would have rendered them down more, but alas, they were still yum. And the burger was on a buttered brioche bun...like the best freakin kind for a burger...it was awesome. The only slight gripe, and I wouldn't even call it a gripe, was that the bun itself, was not toasted, which would have been even better!!! But still....it was one rockin burger (and I don't say that often) and all components worked well together. p.s. Our waitress was just fine, polite, not overly atttentive in a good way, no complaints. The boy got his fave, boneless buffalo wings (he love the bone in ones too) and a side of the mashed potatoes (which had cheddar mixed in) and he it topped with gravy. He liked his food just fine.....BUT mine was the real winner, I would go back for that burger in a heart beat. I have never been before, and haven't experienced anything else on the menu, so it is solely based on the amazing burger I had. I would recommend that burger to anyone. They get a big thumbs up in my book!

Here's a true story for you: Once upon a time in college I lived with a young fellow who liked to tell a tall tale or two. He spoke of an inn called the BBC with delicious, rare beers. This land was supposedly started in the south shore of Massachusetts, where they were plentiful. I came from the north shore, and had never heard of ye old British Beer Company. Just a dream, I thought. Maybe someday I'd explore it. Years passed and I made my exploration to find the BBC. My trusty companion and I approached the bar with wonder in our eyes. I ordered a fine ale made with pumpkins. He ordered a Bud Light. Here's another true story for you: Any place, ANY PLACE, that will serve me buffalo chicken dip alongside pumpkin beer will always have a place in my heart.

I think the service we received made this a great experience. We went for lunch. The waitstaff was attentive, courteous, and quick. The atmosphere was pretty standard pub/restaurant feel. We were there during a B1G1 pizza deal which was pretty awesome. We tried the buffalo chicken pizza and the 21 pizza. The waitress suggested some cocktails which were really yummy. My husband also enjoyed one of the "make your own" beer samplers. This would have been a 5 star except for the fact that they were out of 2 of the kinds of beers my hubs wanted to try.

Not sure if our server didn't understand how being a server works or what the issue was but it's rather annoying to have to go to the bar to get new drinks when you have a proper table and server. Also not sure why 3 staff members were blocking the door while we tried to enter and only moved reluctantly after I said "excuse me" three times. Additionally, when I finally got the server to bring a round of drinks one of the beers was incorrect and flat. Very disappointing. Plus overall the staff was rude.

my girls and I decided to come down to the cape for a quick break from the city and in an act of ignorance and desperation went to the BBC for drinks. i don't understand cover bands that cover pop songs. I am not sure I get cover bands at all, but for the moment lets just endeavor to discuss the former. why would I want to listen to a live band that does an unfortunate rendition of a pop song that would sound better if it came out of the juke box? This was the dismal scene we were faced with on a Friday night in the dead of winter... the music: too loud, too cheesy and too... live. the lead singer made funny faces that made me feel yucky inside & there appeared to have been a few groupie chicks (bleach blond feathered hair + black halter top= groupie right?)in the crowd ...which leads me to the crowd: international men of mystery, sour pusses, meat head frat boy types, & a few middle age locals the drinks: weak. even the shots (?). all in all, if you don't mind being completely sober from the weak cocktails, then it's actually a great place to people watch when you're bored and looking to peep the sad state of affairs that is white people getting down to a bad rendition of "don't stop believing".

iI certainly seems like the BBC is the local hangout people worship at, and I can understand why. The beer is good, the food reasonably priced, and the service, often awesome. On the upside, there is usually parking in back (if not on Main St), good amount of space inside although I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole during tourist season, and service is fast, friendly and funny. The food is... ok. Its pub food and I wouldn't call it a lick above "just fine". I've had various meals, from the reuben to roast beef, to burgers and apps there, and have watched friends try a zillion options, and they were all fine. The beer is where this place shines, of course, with its multitude of options and seasonal fare. On the downside, there is occasional, loud, and not all that great bands and karaeoke in house, and I did have a blueberry wheat ale arrive with actual blueberries in it. I'd always be up for a trip to the BBC, where ambiance reigns, but there's no good reason to leave.

So, I finally did it. I went to a self-proclaimed British pub, by choice, and ate the food. Not my usual MO, but when a guy's taking a newly-legal sibling out for his first lunch-and-a-beer, a place like British Beer Company looks like a pretty solid option. Food-wise, you're looking at a cross between your standard "British pub" fare and your standard Cape Cod clam shack, minus a lobster roll, plus lobster mac and cheese. Case in point: a Cape Cod reuben, which featured a breaded fish fillet instead of the usual corned beef or pastrami. This also means pubbier (is that a word? It should be) takes on seafood dishes: a chipotle-spiced clam roll was comforting, with a little spicy kick on the finish. Throw in a side of fries, and you've got yourself some pretty classic heavier-lunch-on-a-patio goodness. Service-wise, you get both ends of the spectrum, both of which we experienced in one fell swoop. Seated outside, having already been served our drinks, our waitress took our order, and it wasn't until about twenty minutes later that any of us realized we were still sans noms, and only then when the manager came outside and informed us that our waitress had forgotten to put in our order, but it's in now. No big deal, it happens, we told him, having all worked in the industry before. Relieved to hear we weren't about to make a scene, the manager then asked us what we were drinking, and we proceeded to have an excellent conversation about beer in general. Apparently, the guy designed the majority of BBC's beer list, and told us how he'd managed to gank not one, but TWO barrels of Allagash Black for the Hyannis location. Intrigued by his description, we ordered a round for the table (which he comped, I guess for the earlier service screw-up? Unnecessary, but awesome), and I know they don't brew it in house or anything, but MAN, that was an incredible beer. Worth going just for a glass of that stuff. Bottom line? A good place to go for a lunch-beer, with a nice patio and bar staff who really know their stuff -- a real outlier on the "British pub" scale.

BEER FLIGHTS!! a fun way to sample 4 beers for $8. I like most menu options that range from spicy buffalo chicken sandwich or pizza, they also have a killer Mac and Cheese. Which comes in a small and large size. Nightly entertainment= cover bands, karaoke, and trivia. The BBC is a good bet most nights.

I just don't like this place. I went last summer and I wasn't too impressed, but I wanted to give it another try. I must say that this place is just OK. The drinks and the crowd are alright, its your average bar. The ID checking is intense, I don't mind, but I was surprised. They will scan your license and then ask for a credit card to verify that your ID is legit. The only thing that I liked about this place was the cover band, they were awesome.

After eating at other BBC locations, the 1st thing I noticed after walking in was how small this place was. We were a party of 4 on a Saturday night and were told that there was a 40-50 min wait. We decided to wait and proceeded to the bar to grab a drink. While we're standing there, we notice 5 or 6 open tables scattered throughout the restaurant....that they weren't seating people at....so we watched the hostess. She would seat a table, wait 5ish minutes, seat another table, wait again.....and so on. I could understand not wanting to seat multiple tables at once with the same server but that didn't appear to be the case. I think it mostly bothered me because I was STARVING but still, if you are telling people that the wait is 40-50 mins wouldn't you want to be getting people in as quickly as possible? Once we were seated, the service was pretty good and we were all pleased with our meal choices. My husband and I split the buffalo mozzarella appetizer which were good (and spicy!) but I think at that point I was so hungry I would have enjoyed fried shoe leather. For a meal I had the fish tacos which was really random but were also really good. My only complaint is that I felt it should have come with a side....maybe rice? But still very tasty. My husband had the lobster mac & cheese which was on special - he let me have a bite and it was delicious. It was a generous serving, the perfect cheese sauce, and real lobster (he pulled out a full claw). As mentioned in previous reviews, they have an impressive beer selection so for many it is strictly a drinking destination. By the time our meal was finished, this crowd was starting to filter in and an AWFUL band was starting to play. As soon as the band started, we couldn't get out of there fast enough. I wish I could remember the name but they were LOUD and sounded like nails on chalkboard. The pluses: good food, good beer The negatives: the wait, the "later" crowd and the live music

ugh. Let me start by saying the food was fine. I like the one in Walpole so trying this location was a no-brainer Lunch for two consisting of a bbq chicken sandwich, a burger and a couple of beers. The service .. HORRIBLE. We got seated pretty quikcly but it took 9 minutes to obtain a beer menu.......at a place that has "beer" in its name. The waiter approached our table, seemed like he was about to greet us and said........."oh, you know what?......." and WALKED AWAY! We eventually got our order in. At about 25 minutes into our stay, he came over and asked my companion if she wanted cheese on her burger. YOU MEAN ITS NOT ALREADY COOKING??? About 18 minutes after that when he stopped by to ask us if we wanted another round. I asked him if the food was coming out soon and he responded with a tone that implied my inquiry was absurd.... "yeah dude, its coming out in a minute". OK DUDE. $2.00 tip on a $40.00 bill. I was too generous.

My fiancé and I went here the other night with some friends and it was terrible. Our waitress was absolutely horrendous. She took a very long time to get 2 Guinness beers. She was rude and unkempt. Our appetizers were wings and potato skins, which were good, although the skins were very dry. All of the entrees were good and came in a reasonable about of time. our waitress was just terrible!

Management is awesome Mike O is my favorite, waitresses are OK, food is amazing. I am not a fan of cover bands but that is not to say that they are not good. this place is extremely popular when they do have cover bands so i assume they are good ones. great casual atmosphere, a little "towney" for me so i go on the off hours when the locals would be working with my girl friends for lunch. definitely a great spot to go, tons of beer to choose from for all you beer drinkers.

First off I've been to a few of the other BBCs and this one is def old and really small. We were greeted by two bitchy hostesses who would rather bicker in front of us rather than finding us a table. Off to great start. Our waitress was decent and it didnt take too long to get our food. Food was what i expected as i've eaten at other locations. All in all not a terrible experience but the hostesses really set the tone the second we walked in. Probably wouldn't be first choice next time im in the area.

I'm used now to the flagship location in Walpole, but this is the first BBC I ever went to. The tap list is great for the area, but nothing compared to the Walpole tap list. The last meal I had here was a curry pasty, and it was awesome. As opposed to the Walpole location, I don't think I have actually ever had a bad meal here. I did have an awesome server once who, after carding my partner, said, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I had no idea you were that old. I mean, not that you look old, it's just..." it went on from there for about 5 minutes.

British Beer Company serves really tasty burgers that go amazingly well with their good selection of beers. I appreciate the effort to replicate a British pub feel in downtown Hyannis. The onion rings at BBC are sooo good. Crisp and not soggy. I am not so much a fan of this place as a music venue. I think it gets too packed and its hard to move or get to the bar to get a drink. If you do manage to hack your way through the throngs of people to get close to the bar, its a wait. Stick to BBC for a laid-back lunch, dinner or drink but you may want to avoid it as a music venue. (And really, is there any great music on the Cape?)

Visited last week. There was a wait, we decided to wait outside despite the damp weather. Staff polite but service slow. Beer great but the food was AWFUL. We had a party of 7 and not one of us enjoyed the food. I had to send my pizza back as it was drenched in balsamic vinegar. The wings were chewy obviously microwaved but the worst was the turkey pasty. It actually had slices of deli turkey rolled up inside it and the pastry had been burned by a grill not baked. The beef and Guinness pie only had mushrooms and no meat inside, this caused diarrhea the next day,

The BBC serves up some nice English Ales and has the usually pub fair - fish & chips, burgers, salads, etc. It has nice character for a faux brit pub with cool beer quotes on the walls. On my last trip there I had Fullers ESB & London Porter in real full pint (although not on cask) and the beer was actually in good condition. The fish & chips were served on faux newspaper and included real chips & onion rings (something I thought was a touch odd). The fish was nice and fresh. They do have DJs that spin at night for free, but have yet to make it to see the quality of music. The draw for me at this place is the draft beer selection as I am a huge fan of English Ales. I would appreciate if they could offer a cask beer or two, but I'm happy to have the Fuller's line of ales on tap.

I liked the layout of the BBC, the booths had high backs so it really felt as if you were in a private section. The bar area is really nice, we were there for lunch so there wasn't much going on at that time. The menu had your typical pub type food, as well as a few 'different' selections. We got the onion rings for an app and I got a cheese burger for my meal. Everything was fantastic. I like this location a lot, it's located right on Main Street in Hyannis, so it's a great option if you are out window shopping and want to stop in for lunch or dinner. The few times I've been, there wasn't much of a wait, if any. There is another BBC in Falmouth, right on the water. I am excited to try that one. Another great location!

Many places are closed in this area this time of the season. We struggled for something great but affordable. We found it. The BBC has great pub style atmosphere, prices have a wide range and the food was awesome. I had bangers and mash one day and the next I had the Chicken Pot Pie. Service first day was slow but second day was average. Taste of the food makes up for this. Best meal I;ve had on the road in a long time!

Went here for lunch last week and thought it was pretty good. A few steps above a 99 without the corporate feel. They have half price lunch specials during the winter so I had a tuna melt, fries and a soda for about $6! That's cheaper than a value meal. I sat at the bar as I was alone and the barkeep was very nice and attentive. I felt bad not ordering a beer to help her , but I was working and made up for with a hefty tip since she was so nice. Nice pub decor, very English. Definitley would return and try some pasty or other Brit grub and beers.

Go here for the beer. I've eaten here with some friends once too and it is just normal food, fun for a group environment though with friends if you want to be rowdy. I think I also saw a lot of kids here too because it is the kind of place where you can be noisy and no one cares.

Terrible place, I'll never be back. When we arrived I requested a seat where we could have dinner and watch the opening game of the NFL season. We were given a table right in the middle of the restaurant where we could see 4 televisions. The restaurant was only about a third full so there were plenty of open tables. So far so good. Except instead of football poker was on tv. I asked the waitress twice if the football game would be on. Her response was "probably." I asked if she could have it turned on at least one tv. She said "they will probably put it on, I don't know." Good news is the game was put on three of the televisions (no sound). Waitress came back about 15 minutes after we were seated to ask for our orders. Food came out within 15 minutes. About thesame time the food came out the staff started moving tables and chairs out of the way. While they continued to move furniture around us while we were trying to eat I asked the mostly inattentive waitress, who was busy eating an ice cream cone, what was going on. The response was that a band was playing at 10:00 and they were going to have to move us to a booth in the corner (where we could not see the football game). I would have been fine with getting to hear the band if we had been told in advance they were playing and if I still had the opportunity to watch the football game (which was not going to end until at least 11:30) and would not have to move in the middle of our meal. A few minutes later an employee came to tell us we had to move so the band could set up. But we could wait a few minutes to finish our dinner. Then the waitress presented us with the check. I asked to speak with the manager. I explained to the manager my disappointment and amazement that I was knowingly seated in an area that was needed for the band, not told about the band, and had furniture moved around while I was having dinner. His response was that should not have happened. No kidding! That was his responsibility as the manager. He blew it. Then he asked us if we were going to stay. Got to be kidding. He just didn't get it. The manager and the staff at the British Beer Company in Hyannis apparently doesn't realize they are in the hospitality industry and the concept of service is lost on them. Very disappointing. Good news is I have the option of never returning and there are plenty of other option in Hyannis.

While vacationing in Cape Cod, this place was recommended by a local, they call it the BBC. The atmosphere was GREAT! the wait staff was GREAT! and the food was FANTASTIC! I still crave their salad. Any chance you're opening one on the West Coast?

I love the feel of the place, cozy and could be roomier if they got rid of that damned railing around the middle of the room. Why do they still have that leftover from the old HnK that used to be there? Plus love the fact they never charge a cover. Bravo. Beer selection is great, they do need to stop carrying Shipyard Pumpkin Ale as it's really watery, but that's not their fault lol. (Smutty Nose is much better). One item of note if you are reading this BBC, I really like your food there especially the pastys, but please note: ****It's OK TO PUT CHEESE ON NACHOS*****. I have to order extra extra cheese whenever getting nachos with friends there so they'll put what would be a regular amount of nacho cheese anywhere else. Bravo on the addition of the edible chili bowl though! Other food items of note: Blackened salmon Caesar salads: YUM. Lettuce wraps: a MUST have. Vietnamese Shrimp rolls...eh, not so much. BBQ pulled pork pasty: you don't have this often but I wish you did. Easily your best pasty ever.

While on vacay in Cape Cod, a friend of mine suggested we visit this resto for a quick lunch. The beers: good draft selection, including my fav Hefeweiz. The food: not so much. At the table, there was an order of Mac & Cheese, the Pogwich, a Greek salad and some cheese fries. The Pogwich was intense. Basically it was a glorified pulled-pork sandwich inside a bread bowl. The Mac & Cheese was creamy but was a bit bland and only had a few pieces of the promised ham pieces. The Greek salad was awful [though you shouldn't be ordering salad at these kinds of places but still!]. Gross dressing and gross wilty looking lettuce created a big gross salad. I had the cheese fries and they were just okay; they tasted almost identical to Burger King fries--which isn't necessarily a bad thing but wasn't what I was hoping for... Our waitress was crazy slow with taking our ordering, delivering the food, and cashing us out. I'd probably forgo a return visit to this place.

Wife and I had lunch a couple of days ago. Service was very good. Food -- simple burger and fish sandwich special -- were great. I guess I can understand a few negative reviews but they seemed mostly about the "nightlife" and less about the food. Perhaps it's different in the "summer rush", but our meal and service far surpassed the 3-star average.

We had a couple of dinners here (kids' pizza, pot roast, steak wrap, Chinese salad, and Cobb salad on two different nights). The food and service were good, and the beer is fine! The prices seem pretty reasonable.

ive been here many times and never been too impressed. i never really LOVE my food. ive heard really great things about the fish and chips but i thought it was gross. the fish was really soggy. i do like that the booths are very intimate and the lighting is nice. bbc is insanely strict about ID checking as someone said before but i guess they have to be. if your lookin for a pub feel on main street tommy doyles is right down the street.

The BBC is a nice replica of what a British pub looks like. There are quotes on the walls from famous Brit's, and high top tables (very high)or booths. The food here is pretty good, especially the salads. They have a variety of them, many without meat which is good when you're a vegetarian. They're huge, not overpriced, and served on enormous plates outlined by the British flag. They have great appetizers, such as the chips with dips. It's beer battered french fries, chips, and sweet potato french fries (sooo good) with three different sauces, the yellow is the best! They're served in a basket, on top of a fake British newspaper which is a nice touch, since you'll feel like you're in England.
