It's still there and still good (and still expensive). Solid, classic Italian in a Classy "Main Street Hyannis" setting. Love it here!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. Authentic Italian food and atmosphere. Everyone in the place, including other customers, all spoke Italian. The Porto Fino was just amazing!"

Excellent fresh pastas, reasonable wine list and friendly service. I came here in April, 2012 with a group of 6 (the GF, parents, sister, brother in law). We were promptly seated, greeted and ordered wine and drinks. Some menu recommendations were made and a few details cleared up. All in all, the table had salads, calamari, both the clam chowder and seafood bisque - which was to die for, gnochi, lobster ravioli, salads, eggplant parm, a pappardelle primavera and a variety of deserts. Without a dissenting opinion, everything was spot on. Thanks for the great experience!

The food at Albertos is amazing. The staff is prompt and friendly. They have some of the best looking dishes as well as the best tasting dishes. My only complaint was the propane fire place, it always smells really bad of propane in the whole place. I dont think thats safe?? But the food is so good that its something i am willing to deal with.

It was our last dinner during our recent trip to Cape Cod - and it was fantastic dinner. They didn't have a table inside when we got there even though I called for reservation in advance. But they found us a table outside by the street, which I think was even better. We ordered some appetizers and mostly seafood. Everything was great. The house beer was good too, not as dark as the Cape Cod Red. We had a nice and chatty waiter from Bulgaria. The food was not very fast, but still bearable.

Slow. Slow. Slow. Food was ok but kids were not happy. We sat for at least 45 minutes without anybody even coming by to refill drinks. The eggplant parm was nothing special, and the temperature fluctuated with the geography of the plate, apparently because it sat under the warmer for so long. I haven't felt this ignored in a LONG time.

$$$ is right! Solid italian food...fair size portions but definitely $$$. Came to Cape Cod on a family vacation. Found Alberto's on Yelp. We were tired of American seafood fare so wanted to have something a bit different. I ordered the Parpadelle with shrimp and it was $18. Hubby ordered cioppino for $30. Is pasta that expensive, even with half bottle of wine? Service was good. Food is solid but nothing mind-blowing, thus taking off one star. I think they must cater to tourists. Good choice though if you have nowhere to go and visiting Hyannis.

I was really looking forward to going here on a hot date last Saturday. We had to change the time of our reservation, but on the phone the hostess told us they could still accommodate us for a later time that night. So we arrive on time and were told there was a little bit of a wait. Bellying up to the bar, we order & enjoy our spirits...10 minutes has gone by...then 20 (at which the hostess comes over and asks us to be patient)...finally 30 minutes after our reservation, we're seated. We do not receive menu's, but our waitress asks us what we want anyway (HELLO?!), and it takes approximately 15 minutes for anyone to bring us water or bread. After all this, our wine and meal was alright, but at this time we're eating at around 10pm, when our reservation was for 8:30. Also, the place was totally quiet (as far as music). When I asked about when they have the live piano playing I was told that it's only on Wednesday & Friday. Bummer! Bottom line: I might return if I have a preppy date on a Wednesday or Friday. Note to ladies: Sadly, although this is an upscale restaurant, the "Cape Cod casual" attire, that is preppy, relaxed look, still goes. I definitely felt too fashionable here in heels, & a knee length red silk number. Better wear some wedges & slacks or your J.Crew church dress. :(

We made a reservation, but things seemed a bit disorganized when we arrived, so we had a bit of a wait. Once seated things went pretty smoothly - server was attentive but not too much so. Food was very good but not outstanding. Would definitely return if in the area.

Alberto's Restorante is the most upscale dining experience available in the Mid-Cape area, albeit compared to establishments in Manhattan it would only classify as "casual." I have had two dinners here on separate summer vacations to Cape Cod, and the food has never been disappointing. Rustic, yet elegantly prepared Italian food is becoming more difficult to find, as many restaurants turn to "Americanized" Italian food, which does not suit purists such as myself. Service was outstanding; we had a Russian speaking waiter who kept us entertained the entire evening, very charming fellow! If they have the Duck & Risotto special when you visit, I highly recommend it! Also, the Lobster Fra Diavolo pasta for those who are exceptionally hungry.

Fine Northern Italian cuisine in an upscale setting. There is a piano player to set the romantic mood combined with great food and excellent service. This restaurant has a lot of seafood.

I would definitely go here again if we are in the area. My husband ordered the chicken tortellini alfredo and it was unbelievable. The alfredo sauce was THE best I have ever had. It was creamy, buttery and cheesey but not too heavy (how do they do it?). The tortellini is made in house and combined with the sauce, it just melted in your mouth. I had the parpadelle with red sauce and it was very good (my 2 year old liked it too). The wait staff was friendly enough but you won't get a "warm" vibe like an old school Italian family restaurant. I suggest sitting outside on the patio because the inside is a bit stuffy.

Great food, great service, in a great setting. I've eaten here twice, last time was 7/6/2008. We've only eaten outside (I've never been inside) so take my review with that caveat. Dinner starts with a fine bread with olive oil for dipping. My wife had a tomato and mozzarella salad which was very good but which is not my favorite salad (I've kind of worn that out over that the last 49 years.) Last visit, I had the Lobster Fra Diavlo. 1.5 Pound Lobster perfectly cooked with perfectly cooked al dente angel hair pasta in the quintessential Fra Diavlo sauce. A complete home run - this dish was executed and served perfectly. It could not have been any better. At $37.00 it was worth every penny. My wife had a penne pasta with chicken in a pink sauce served with red peppers. My 9 year old daughter tried a bite and ended up eating 1/2 her mom's dinner. Her chicken fingers were perfectly cooked but quite bland (probably aimed at a 5 year olds palate) so the two of them finished them by dipping them in my wife's remaining sauce. Great wine list (we had a $55 dollar Brunello di Montepulciano ) which was a perfect match for the food. We were there early on Sunday (6pm) so most of our surrounding diners had kids (one table had a crying baby and one had two little girls about 2 and 1 throwing stuff on the ground) - luckily they were finishing up as we were starting. I mention this in case you are ooking for some romantic dining sans kids outside - if you are - wait until later in the night. The service was attentive and friendly.

The setting is great and right in the heart of down town Hyannis on Main Street. It was a very nice day and we were able to snag a table outside on their lovely sidewalk patio. Even outside the tables are dressed to impress. Deciding what to have can be difficult since they offer a large menu with many appetizers, salads and entrees to choose from. Of course the Northern Italian specialties, veal and poultry but they also have a large list of seafood and beef items. I had the Shrimp Orvieto, which is sauteed jumbo shrimps with mushrooms, artichoke hearts, roasted garlic, peppers and shallots in a Marsala wine sauce and served over linguine. The dish was very good indeed! Their clam chowder is very rich and creamy, the clams were tender and with just the right amount of seasoning. I love dining with my daughter because we always agree to try different things and to share our meals. She had the chicken parmigiana sandwich, which we though sounded unique and it was delicious. All sandwiches come with a side salad. When in the area I would not hesitate to dine here again. The food and the service were both superb.

Nice Ambience and location but this family did not enjoy our experience at all. The waitresss was a sweetie and was very helpful but she got a earful from the owner/manager when we sent our entries back. Sorry, but the entries were the last straw in a string of disappointments. The Bruschetta was awful. Tomato slice? Can you say lazy! It was also warm. The best Bruschetta has a mixture of warmth (bread) and chill (tomato and cheese). The bread was soggy. I ate two of four ... we left two. The popcorn shrimp were horrible as well. Frozen and then micro-waved without a doubt. Dry and tasteless. Daughter scoffed most of these but we left about a 1/4 of this as well. It was served with a Marinara sauce as well! Run out of cocktail sauce? Kids both had chicken fingers - they barely touched the chicken. It tasted bad, they said. I tried it and agreed. They scoffed the fries and left all the chicken. I had the scallop special which was portrayed as scallops with bacon, cheese and something else. What I got was a casserole dish of bare tasteless scallops in water ... at least it had no flavor and was clear liquid - I'm assuming water. On top was what appeared to be two slices of melted cheese and two strips of crisp bacon (and I mean crisp). I ate one straight and it had no flavor at all. Tried another with "toppings" and it was barely any better. Wife had baked scallops which she took one bite of and said that's enough. Dropped $48 and a $10 tip for the waitress (which I'm sure the owner took) and cut our losses. Owner originally sent the waitress back to say he'll remove one of the scallop dishes but I said no way am I paying for either. Waitress came back and said OK. Owner never tried to even find out why we were so unhappy.

Great place, great food. During my latest visit I ordered the veal and eggplant parmigiana. The sauce was good, eggplant and veal were cooked perfectly. I order something different every time I come and I am never disappointed. I plan to eat here whenever I am on the cape.

Had dinner at Alberto's last night. We were a party of five and everyone ordered the three course dinner for $21.95. Everyone ordered different apps dinners and deserts and no one was disappointed. I thought the entrees would be small but that was not the case at all. The server was friendly and efficient. The building could use some updating if that effects your dining experience but this is the best meal I've had on the Cape in quite some time.

Exquisite cusine - the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. But the food was mouth-watering and the service was wonderful. I was in the mood for a salad with scallops - that option is not on the menu, but the waitress had it prepared for me! Tuna appetizer was amazing! Side note: I do not eat dairy products, but every table around me was getting dessert so it must have been good!

My friend and I had reservations for a Saturday night at 6:30 as we were seeing a show later in the evening. We were seated outside very quickly by the friendly hostess. The waiter wasn't overly friendly but I would say he was "fine". Bread, water, drinks came very quickly. The bread was warm and very fresh. As an appetizer, we shared Mussels Fra Diavolo and they were delicious - just the right amount of kick to make them good, and were cooked perfectly. For my meal I had the Sole & Shrimp Fiorenta - the sole was very flavorful (my first time trying it) and it was cooked just right. The shrimp were a bit overcooked, and for $25.95, I thought two shrimp was a bit cheap. The linguini in garlic and olive oil was flavorless and I did not eat it. My friend on the other hand had a superb meal - I cannot find it on the menu on the website so I think it may have been a special. It was basically ravioli stuffed with seafood and it was in a cream sauce - it was delicious and I would definitely have it if I was going to return to this restaurant...but I don't think I will. Overall, an ok meal but I do not think it was worth the price, and service was lacking.

Excellent food and service. Food is high quality and well-prepared, very traditional southern Italian. The ambiance is nice, remincent of decades gone by, but in a good way. Prices very fair, especially considering the quality.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. We made reservations a few days earlier and were promptly seated when we arrived. The restaurant is deceptively larger than it appears from Main St. We liked how there are a few different rooms that don't seat too many so that it was never too noisy. The food was great and atmosphere was nice. For two people, expect to spend about $85 to $100, but it's worth it. We will be going back again.

Service was great with our waiter going out of his way to make my wife and I feel welcome. We ate outside. The Seafood Chowder and bread was yummy. My wife said the dressing on her salad was tasty. The perfect way to cargo load before my wife ran the Boston Marathon.

The early dinner special is a good deal with dessert and coffee included for free and salad on the side. The food is quite good, though not exceptional. Overall, I would say that the Italian food at any of the several Paparazzi restaurant group is actually more flavorful. But for the location and the price, sitting outside of this restaurant was quite pleasant.

Just returned from dinner at Albertos celebrating our 30th anniversary. We decided to splurge and go more upscale. The atmosphere was great...the service was terrible and we were one of 3 parties in the place at the time..the waiter ignored us, left dirty dishes on the table..very poor. I got the cioppino...grossly overcooked..couldn't even eat some components they were so tough...almost 100 dollars for dinner for 2...just not worth it...would never go back

My partner and I dined here on June 26, 2010 and decided on having a early dinner. Since this was a highly rated restaurant we thought we'd give a try and see if it lived up to the good reviews. We were seated inside next to the window for a great view of Main Street. However, it took over 5 minutes for our waiter to greet us and take a drink order. After checking out the menu (items are a bit pricey) we decided on the Ragu and a daily special of New York Strip with vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes. Our waiter seemed somewhat shy and a bit reserved and spoke very softly. He seemed to lack confidence in my opinion. After we ordered he mentioned that we could have the Sunset Special for guests arriving before 6pm, which included salad or soup and dessert along with the price of the entree, This saved us between 5 to 7 dollars each for the salad and probably the same for the desserts. The food quality is good and very delicious. The bread was not to my liking and was among the worst I have had in a long time. We did enjoy the desserts, a heath bar pie and chocolate mousse, very rich though! It's a good restaurant, service could be stepped up just a bit, but I think it was just our waiter. I observed the other wait staff doing a fine job however. I did witness several wait staff members arguing about tips when passing by them on the way out. I was also disappointed when exiting the restaurant and found the manager and host ignoring us as we walked out the door. An appropriate thank you and hope to see you again soon would have been the proper way for them to say goodbye to us.

We happened by Alberto's on vacation, and after a quick check to ask if they could accommodate my family's food sensitivities, we went in. It was a very nice place, and quite reminiscent of growing up on the East Coast (they just don't have lots of good Italian restaurants like this one Out West!). They were able to accommodate all of our food sensitivities and made sure to substitute items in the dishes as necessary. It was delicious - my mom was in heaven, I was reminded of eating at the neighbor's house and their restaurant when I was little, and my kids even liked it. Great place! :)

Classy and comfortable restaurant. Great little bar with a couple TVs and a back room that's perfect for private gatherings. The staff is very professional and service is always on point. High-quality food, they have hands down the best broiled scrod out there and I'm obsessed with the chicken parmesan over linguine. The appetizers are delicious too.

We found many restaurants closed on a wintry January Sunday night in Hyannis, but Alberto's was a terrific choice. Excellent food, good service, nice ambiance, nice fire adding to the relaxed, comfy feeling. Their short ribs are to die for, and also their cioppino was delicious. Salmon with balsamic glaze is very good.

This has to be the best restaurant for Italian food I have ever been to...short of trips to Italy.....Service & food 5 stars from me I had the veal dish it was rolled around chunky lobst'a meat & 5 cheese's topped w/more lobst'a meat and a very tasty champagne sauce It was so good that the next evening I wanted to return again for the same dish The perfect spot for any dinning occasion

Not much to say about this place really. It was fine, not impressed. The food was very disappointing for the price. The garlic bread I could have made at home. A piece of italian bread, some jarred minced garlic that was very bitter and almost spicy and some cheese melted on top. I had a fish sandwich and my company had the chicken parm sub. We could have paid half the price in boston for the same quality. Agreed, we didn't really eat an authentic italian dish but what we ordered was pretty straight forward so I'd be scared to pay the prices they were asking for their dinner entree's. The service was just plain awful! We got there at lunch and there appeared to only be two waiters on staff. Other tables appeared annoyed - grumpy looks on people's faces and people turning around in their seats, seemingly looking for their wait staff. At first, when service was slow, we chalked it up to the customer to staff ratio. Maybe someone called out sick? However, several tables cleared out prior to us getting our meal. By the time we were done with our meal, it appeared our waiter only had 3 tables. We waited for 10-15 min for the waiter to check in after our meal. When he didn't come over himself, we called him over and asked for containers to go. You would think that would be a hint that we were done with our meal right? No, he handed us our to-go containers to transfer our own food and walked away. We assumed he was coming back with our check to only look up as see him making tables and laughing with another waitstaff. Another 5 minutes later he came over and took our plates and asked if we wanted desert. We said no thank you and just asked for the check. 5 minutes later our check. By then, we had waited 30 min between the end of our meal and the check so we got up ourselves and handed him our bill. Probably wont go back unless I decide to give their dinner meals one last shot.

It's not on the online menu, but I had the LOBSTER RAVIOLI in a special creamy sauce, it was so good!!! Igor had the SEAFOOD ALBERTO, that was good as well, but that cream from my ravioli was what I remember the most. For dessert, the CHOCOLATE TRIO. It was the best chocolate cake I ever had. We ordered another one to go, it was just THAT good.

Absolutely excellent! My chicken saltamboca was the best I've had since Rome. Service was wonderful, even providing my elderly mom with a taste of the mashed potato to see if there was too much garlic. We'll definitely be back. My Cape Cod mom said it was the best meal she had in a long time --- and that says a lot!

After years of passing by the place on Main Street, I recently received a gift certificate to Alberto's from a customer. Yay, now I can't NOT go in! So tonight, me and a few friends went to celebrate me and my boyfriend's anniversary. Place looked real nice, not as "casual" as you think it is. It seemed more upper-class kind of casual, not the last-minute trip in jeans. We were seated fast but walking through the restaurant, we were being stared at and the staff did NOT seem all that friendly. (No, we did not look like slobs either.) Hello, awkward. Maybe it was just us, but our waiter wasn't the nicest or quick/easy to find. I've been to lots of restaurants in every class and price range and the service is less than desirable. Perhaps we were being judged by our young age or maybe that we were the only Asians in there? I don't want to pull the "race" card out here but we all definitely felt very awkward in there and the people in there weren't very warm either. Food was good; the seafood bisque was real creamy and yummy. The dishes were all very filling and a bit more than we could finish. That is the only reason why I'm giving two stars. The food was pretty good, but I do not believe it is really worth going back there for the quality of service we got. I was shocked by how much I didn't enjoy it even though there were SO many good reviews and feedbacks on Alberto's. Too bad.

The service here was a little bit meh and slow. I had the lobster ravioli and it was divine. Props on the check-in Yelp deal! For the Cape, though, there are definitely more worth-while places to check out. You won't miss out if you don't do this italian joint.

Chronologically... The hostess wanted to seat the three of us, me, my wife, and our 5 year old in a booth for 2, when 2 booths for 4 stood empty...so we pushed for the larger booth, even though it only had 2 place settings...actually gave us a nasty 'look'...and it wasn't that busy as it was a Tuesday nite... So we're in the booth but one of us has no silver or napkin...busboy fills the 2 glasses with water but brings no 3rd setting... Server comes and is refreshing...gets crayons and coloring book for my daughter and takes her pasta order... Tried the lobster bisque and it was ok...very thick but not in my top 5 for lobster bisques...needed more butter me thinks... I had the baked stuffed scrod...yummy... Wife had Lemoncello fish entree...boring...so much so that we asked for a side of the 'special sauce' which seemed to have no flavor...eureka...it didn't have ANY SAUCE on it...but half of it was already gone...oops... Lots of regrets but no comp on the bill until we ask if we should talk with the manager...then the entree was removed... So to review...the hostess blew...the busboy was asleep...the manager should have been walking the tables...our server was great...the food was quite good when completed correctly...for a pricey restaurant this should not have happened...the decor and atmosphere were very nice... One mistake I can forgive...not this many...for these prices on a street with so much competition...

My go-to spot for upscale Italian-American in the Mid-Cape. Have been going for many years and some time ago it could be hit or miss, but I haven't had a bad meal here for five or more years. It's not cheap, but the quality of the food, ambiance, and service is top notch. A favorite dish is the Veal Capris, a huge tender fried cultlet topped with loads of fresh lobster meat, aspargus and a pink peppercorn sauce. Out of this world. It's also a great place to dine al fresco in the warmer months and enjoy the Hyannis street scene with your food. It's hard to do better in the Mid-Cape.

This restaurant is not the best -- but certainly one of the very best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. I'm Italian. I've been to many. Everybody at my table loved their food and the waitress (can't remember her name but she was thin, blonde-ish hair) was extremely nice at any opportunity. It was a really refreshing attitude. The atmosphere was terrific as well and it was classic Italy. The food? Outstanding. I ordered an appetizer of Fried Calamari and a main entree of Chicken Parmigiana followed by Chocolate Trio dessert. Everything was nearly flawless. Service was fast as well. Alberto's is another one of my must-visit restaurants in Cape Cod.

Thank God for Yelp! I was going down the Cape for a quick 2 day/1 night trip, so wanted to make sure I had dinner at a great restaurant, and turned to Yelp for some advice. Alberto's was one of the best Italian meals I have had! My boyfriend and I ordered a Caprese salad to split....when the waiter brought them, he had already divided them onto 2 plates and each plate was piled high. Needless to say, the Caprese was outstanding. I got Chicken Piccata for my entree, and it was one of the best I've had, right down to the perfect portion size. My boyfriend got manicotti and liked it, but didn't love it. We also got a very reasonably priced bottle of 2006 Italian red wine that was delicious. Normally we do not get dessert, but wanted to try the Alberto Cheesecake....heaven with an oreo crust! I highly recommend trying Alberto's!

My husband and I went to Alberto's for lunch earlier this year and had an excellent experience!! Great food, great service, and even the atmosphere was good. Many choices on the menu too. Our waitress had quite a few tables and it didn't phase her one bit. One of the best all around experiences dining out we have had in a long time! Can't wait to go back:-)

My parents took me to Alberto's a couple of nights ago. The food was good, but the tables were so close together and the room was so loud that we could not hear each other without literally shouting. My throat was sore by the end of the meal because of the strain on my vocal cords.

Come to Alberto's for traditional Italian done very nicely. The atmosphere is Hyannis elegant. Wait staff is highly competent and there is often a pianist who is unobtrusive but very good (I was surprised to find myself tuning into her version of Dave Brubeck's Take 5!). If the prices were more reasonable, I'd give it five.

Great little place. I went here for lunch one day with my grandmother and her rich friends (I probably sound like a loser, but trust me my grandmother and her friends are probably the most kickass old people on earth..just totally out there and innapropreiate and WOW haha). They had good fettutine alfredo. And the waitstaff was very nice. Very Cape Cod, and it's a nice break from all the touristy seaford places, because this is definately not the standerd capecod faire.

This is our family go-to place for a nice dinner. Typically, we never go during the cape summer season, and it's well worth the trip down to Hyannis in October or January or March to have the place less crowded than it is during the high-traffic times. I sadly can only comment on the salmon, but I have probably had it ten or twelve times now, so you can imagine what I think of it. Whatever they put in that balsamic glaze is heavenly. The risotto is fantastic, and they give you just the right amount so that you don't feel overwhelmingly guilty about eating it. The julienned vegetables are usually the first thing to disappear from my plate- seasoned and cooked properly, I can't let a good veggie idle too long. The lobster dishes can be hit or miss- when it's out of season, things can tend to be a little tough, but that's probably because we expect so much of that creepy crustacean. I've always heard rave reviews about the chicken dishes, as well as the Bolognese. The wine selection is ample enough to keep me happy, the appetizers are excellent (calamari, seafood bisque, eggplant parm are all sinful) and an end of meal coffee always ends things on a high note.

Everything was perfect! I celebrated my 30th birthday here and it was such a delightful experience. Our server RACHEL was unbelievable, she was pleasant, professional, and so enthusiastic!! She really made our experience unforgettable the restaurant is lucky to have her! We started with the spinach salad which was delicious then had lobster ravioli with huge pieces of lobster and the lamb osso buco both were scrumptious! We of course finished with birthday cake! This place is definitely a must visit on Cape!
The restaurant was beautiful and the room we sat in reminded me of Passports in Gloucester. We started with pure Olive Oil (no seasonings) and bread and it was great. I loved the taste of the olive oil. We then had the Lobster Bisque. My, my was it good. It was just as good as Turners... My boyfriend turned me on to Lobster Bisque and this one was 5 stars. Mr. Wonderful had the Seafood Fra Diavolo and said it was great. He also said that the dish was endless... pasta AND seafood. Seafood Fra Diavolo isn't for me so I had the Fish and Chips. It was very fresh and I enjoyed it. My boyfriend had a custard dessert w/ caramel topping.. (sorry, going on memory) and he enjoyed it. I had the apple crisp and it was out of this world. I have NEVER had apple crisp like this before. Thank you so much. We had a great experience.

My husband and I made a reservation this Labor Day weekend for 7:00. It was really not necessary. The food was just ok, I was really surprised. My husband ordered a linguine with shrimp, lobster & Alfredo. The sauce was quite thin. I had chicken saltimbocca, it has a Marsala sauce that was bland and didn't quite taste like Marsala at all. I was really disappointed.
Oysters...GIGANTIC, delicious, and SUPER fresh. Arugula salad, they let me get a yummy starter portion, bf loved his bowl of seafood chowder, and the fish sandwich was good too. Sat outside in the sun on a gorgeous day and had a great meal for $47.99...totally worth it:)

Our party of three visited Alberto's on a quiet Sunday evening. It was clearly one of the only lively spots in Hyannis, that being said half the place was empty in late October. The Italian food is good, but nothing I can particular say I would ever go back for. The garlic bread appetizer was divine, my pasta with marinara was pretty basic - not bad -not super good but what do you expect from basic pasta. I wish the waiter left the freshly grated mozzarella at the table as I would have poured the whole thing on my plate. Speaking of our waiter, he was the most "Meh" about Our experience. He kinda gave me a German Guard in WW2 vibe. So Morose! We were a friendly table but he had this look on his face like he had a tooth pulled every time he approached us. Alberto's setting is quite nice, it's on the quaint main street & has nice big windows.

This has been the best place yet here in Hyannis that I have ate at. I am 100% Italian and the lobster scallop Alfredo was absolutely delicious! Very welcoming, with great service.

We've been frequenting this restaurant all summer long. The raw oysters are FABULOUS! Large Wellfleet oysters that were tender and TASTY! The Veal Chop was awesome! The steaks great. The Italian food superb. Eggplant parmesan was tasty too! Great bread and butter, super desserts, great coffee. The wait staff are eager to please. Nice drinks. We called for a reservation of 13 people and the owner made it work for us. The owner is present, making certain that all is going well. We will return without question. When you find a good, reliable restaurant, you're happy to return.

The seafood bisque had excellent flavor though it lacked on any real viable chunks of seafood. The lobster roll was very good as it was on a nice toasted crusted roll however the Mattie de stated th lobster was 18.95 and the check charged us 21.95. Not good Other wise it would have been rated higher.

After tasting the real Italian cuisine, you become a little bit picky on restaurants that serve Italian food. I am, definitely, not coming back. I've never had a gnocchi that was so plain like that place. The marinara sauce was very watery and plain. My boyfriend had the seafood plate and didnt like it either. For what you pay, you could have something tastier. I can cook better pastas and sauces.

We were just there this Saturday for dinner with our two children ages 7 and 3. Sat outside to enjoy the weather and the waiter was nice. We ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell, calamari, kids fish and chips, gnocchi and a clam with linguini dish. Food was decent but there were a couple of small but annoying things that occurred. They didn't shuck the oysters, just opened them and put them on the plate. Our's son's fish and chips came out 10 minutes after the oysters and calamari which was fine but and it was another 30 minutes before our main entrees came along. By then we were not as happy as when we arrived because it took so long. The experience could have been better and for a price tag of $110 for dinner, it was just ok.

Try the Sinastra pasta with Penne, chicken, sausage broccoli rabe and beans in light sauce. White Sangria is very good - not overly sugary. my husband enjoyed the veal parm. Decent service.

I can cook better. We were apart of a bus tour and went on a Saturday night. Decent service, cheap food. I thought the fish tasted horrible and cheap. I ordered calamari so I would not starve. The dessert was the better part of the meal. I'm sure I could find better spots to eat on the Cape.

Second time I came here and both times were good. I like this place because it is nice inside and outside. It looks to be a fine dining restaurant. They had a lot of options to choose from and the food was good. I got the short ribs and my husband got some muscles dish with pasta. Both were delicious. I recommenced the short rib entree! The outside seating is nice and it is good people watching. Also in the bathroom they have this salt soap rub which was awesome, it makes your hands really soft and I've been looking where to buy it. Service was good too and the pricing was reasonable. I would come back here for sure.

Amazing amazing amazing! Server was perfect! Went over the menu for us and was very attentive. This is a must for anyone vacationing in cape code. Fair prices and the food is just awesome! The sangria is a bit strong!

We came here for an early dinner and the place was pretty empty at first. Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant was OK but it could probably be updated a little bit. The service was excellent but the food overall did not blow me away. We opted for the $30 prix fixe; for appetizer, I tried the meatballs and the clam chowder. The meatballs were good but the consistency was almost too smooth; I prefer my meatballs to be a little chunkier. The clam chowder was creamy but it would have been nice to have bigger clam bits and potatoes. For the main course, I had the duck, which had a very strong plum sauce and I would have liked the duck to be crispier. I am pretty picky about my risotto and this was disappointing. It didn't really taste like risotto - just some yellow dry rice that should have been creamier. By dessert, I was very full but had the fruit cup with ice cream and raspberry sauce and that was fine. I probably won't return, as I was on vacation and there seemed to be other possibilities along that same strip of restaurants.

Came here for the first time this summer and loved it! The cocktails were wonderful and the tortellini Alfredo with chicken was creamy and delicious. Expensive but worth it.

There's nothing bad I can say about Alberto's! The service is excellent, they don't rush you and the food is fabulous. I had scrod florentine which was amazing. My wife had shrimp and scallop Fiorentina which was tender and served with a delicious white wine sauce. The bread was hot, delicious and served with olive oil and olives. The wine list is good and their white sangria is wonderful. We will definitely be back next time we visit Hyannis.

Basic average Italian food but sadly nothing really jumps out as special or different. The seafood Alfredo was probably the best dish we ordered as the salmon was just an uninspired portion of fish over a somewhat dry risotto and the pasta Sinatra came with long strands of broccoli rabe that you had to stop and cut into bite size pieces or risk choking on.... a pet peeve of mine. We came on the Friday before easter and the waitress told us there were no specials because they were getting ready for the weekend. Excuse me, what? None of the desserts are home made and there was nothing very exciting so out of four of us only one ordered a dessert which was the Tartufo. It came with a fake soapy version of whipped cream. Come on guys. .. If you're not going to bother making home made then at least treat your customers to Ready Whip.

Went for lunch. Not impressed at all. The entire place is dated. Food is meh. Wife had eggplant parm and it was watery and tasteless. I had manicotti and it tasted like Marie's frozen dinner. Son had meatball sub and we had better at a local sub shop. Overpriced and not worth it. Tourist trap...

Just an amazing menu & beautiful decor. This was one of our very best meals on the Cape and I would consider this restaurant a must stop in the future. Gnocchi knocked its out. Melon wrapped in posciutto was divine, as was the pate.

Italians are known for there generosity and large food portions, if your expecting to find that here, you better keep looking. My wife and I went there for our anniversary. My wife got the scrod dish and I got the shrimp & scallop Orvieto . Two shrimp and two scallops , that's it!!! What a rip off!!! The scrod my wife got was no bigger than fish stick. We would have had a better meal at the Weathervain. The only reason it got the one star was because the place looked nice and the wait staff was friendly, but that's the only kind words I have to say. Stating they are serving Italian cuisine is an insult to Italians everywhere!!! We will never go there again! Huge tourist trap! Save your money.

I've had dinner at Alberto's many times and I've always enjoyed it. My wife & I like to sit at one of the high tops in the bar. It is dark and cozy. The service has always been good. I am partial to seafood and pasta, but the veal is good, as well. The wine list is large enough with proper prices.

I visited Alberto's restaurant during restaurant week. $30 for 3 course meal. I went with the chicken parm and my boyfriend had the beef short ribs which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I had one look at the short ribs and wished we both got that. It was MELT IN YOUR MOUTH good. I forced him to share. Don't get my wrong, my chicken parm was good. But his short ribs were to DIE FOR. For appetizers we had bruschetta which was on lavish bread (with cheese) and the meatball app. Both were so good. The meatballs were in a really delicious tomato sauce. Tiramisu for dessert and 3 chocolate cake. The 3 chocolate cake was delicious! Our waitress, I think was Russian, was a little dry, not really friendly. We went on a Monday and were seated right away. Much older crowd generally at the restaurant. I would definitely go back for the short ribs, not so much for the waitress haha.

I went here for my anniversary and got a chicken alfredo plate. Upon biting into it I called the waitress over and told her I wasn't sure it was cooked all the way through as it was pink and didn't taste quite right. She refused to take it back to the kitchen and told me she was sure that it was cooked thru and the chefs would not make that mistake. I ate a few more bites before deciding that I didn't want to chance it, and then proceeded to vomit with diarrhea for the next 3 days. I will never eat her again. Over priced, rude, bad chicken. Never again.

I thought this was supposed to be one of the better restaurants in Hyannis. What a let down. The food is extremely expensive and does not deliver. They are listed as fine dining; it is anything but. The drop ceiling was full of water stains. The service was some of the worst on the cape. The only time we saw our waiter was when he took our order, dropped off the food, and brought the check. They don't even have a "water boy" so my glass was empty for the second half of my meal. I ordered the Calamari Fra Diavolo which was one of the cheaper dishes on the menu at $21. My gf had the Seafood Alfredo which was $30. The Alfredo was completely bland and came with 2 shrimp, a few scallops, and lobster about the equivalent of 1 claw. None of the dishes even come with a salad to offset the outrageous prices. The only redeeming quality was the check in offer yelp had for $10 off. Seriously, don't waste your time and money here. The Roadhouse Cafe down the street is much better if you want romantic fine dining.

Walking up to the restaurant the host walked out and spit, turned and seen me walking to him. Not a good first impression. I'm glad we made reservations for 6pm. The service was okay but a little slow. I noticed others getting faster service. Been here for an hour and a half and waiting for waiter to ask us for dessert for another 15 min. The Duck was very good. The rice and veggies were like a fill on the plate with no flavor. I'm sure I will return some day.

My wife and I went here for dinner on Friday night. My wife ordered chicken piccata, which she did not like at all. I ordered the chicken parm, which was decent but nothing special. We got dessert, chocolate mousse for the wife which she enjoyed. Cappuccino and biscotti were both good. Waiter noticed my wife did not eat her Neal so he took it off the bill which was nice. Service was also decent. I would like to try it at least 1 more time when I come back to Cape Cod. Reservations suggested.

What a great place to go out for dinner!! Beautiful place wonderful dinners great service !! It doesn't get much better then that seafood Alberto's is my dish but shrimp scampi was one of my favorite too!! I'm so glad to have a great restaurant in town to go and have a great meal everytime!! I can't wait to bring my guest this summer

We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday and she wanted Italian cuisine. 4 adults and 1 child & 1 teen. It was busy, the service was sub- par. The martini wasn't cold , when asked if it could be chilled properly, the waitress said that they were out of ice???? That was weird because the 3 cokes on the table were completely filled with ice. Plus if your out of ice go out and buy some after all it is a restaurant, you should have ice!!! Then the meal came my granddaughter's children's chicken Parm for $9.95 was the exact same size as our $21.95 chicken Parm ???? How does that work? It's sad because it has so much potential . We've been there before, it was good but after that experience we are not going back.

Lets get a couple things straight. #1) if your craving authentic italian food this restaurant isn't for you. If you do go knowing this in advance you will avoid any misconceptions allowing you to be more open to the reality of this establishment. #2) If your in the mood for one of the best non italian themed restaurants in Massachusetts, New England or on the East Coast then this place is for you ! The ambience switches from glamorous to what happened quickly?! Once the food hits your taste buds its all down hill with no brakes. We sat outside on patio out front on main street. The waiter forgot one of our main courses, the meal was finally delivered but we already check out mentally and once the check hit the table i finally crashed at the bottom of the hill whipping out a dock and a small flock of seagulls

Having seen Alberto's when parking in the lot the night before, I knew that it would be perfect for take out once we managed to get through the traffic from the airport back out to the Cape. My husband called in the take out order around 7:15, and was immediately told that it would be around 8 before it would be ready. We got the Tuscan Salad (Mixed greens, white beans, prosciutto, onions, capers, calamata olives, & fire roasted peppers in balsamic vinegar & extra virgin olive oil fusion... $10.95) and the Chicken & Eggplant Parmigiana ($23.95) with a side of meatballs ($6.95). I got to Alberto's right around 8pm, and walked in the side entrance from the parking lot, where the tour buses seemed to load and unload. I transacted the order at the bar, where they were showing the Red Sox game. It took about 5 minutes for the food to be ready after I'd paid the tab. No utensils were provided, though the meal was hearty enough that plastic utensils would just have been frustrating. I loved the combination of toppings on the Tuscan salad, chowing down on the white bean portion that added some nice salt to balance the surprising sweetness of the roasted peppers. The parmigiana was good, particularly the chicken. The eggplant was sliced so thin that by the time the breading made the take out trip of 5 minutes, it was mostly soggy breading. The tomato sauce was chunky and flavorful, but sat on top of the linguine, rather than coating eat. The meatballs were so dense and flavorful that I could only handle half of one, much to my husband's delight. They also gave us 4 pieces of sliced bread, your average Italian bread. All in all, good take out, probably better in the restaurant.

Went here on a Saturday night without a reservation in June...party of 8 which included 4 kids under 3 and a request to have 3 high chairs. They were able to accommodate and even put us in a private room-- best really for both parties to keep our noisy kids contained in a room without bothering the other civilized diners. We were fine with it as families with young children, we long for white tablecloth dining experience but realize the difficulties with young babies. The lobster ravioli was delicious. They did not skimp on the lobster. The husband got the stuffed scrod and it too was very good. Seafood pasta was also a positive recommendation from the table.

All I wanted for dinner last night was a yummy plate of pasta and that's what I got. We were on yelp after leaving whale watching and wanted Italian food. We saw all the great reviews posted here and decided to try it out! I'm so happy we did. The restaurant was so clean, so beautiful and a really big space! Our weightier was lovely, very nice guy. We ordered the eggplant appetizer and shared clam chowder soup. I had Tortellini Alfredo and my boyfriend had Lobster Ravioli. Everything was soooo yummy and defiantly satisfied my Italian food craving after being on a boat for 4 1/2 hours in the sun! Next time we got to the cape we look forward to visiting Alberto's again!

Food is good - not the best I've ever had, but definitely good. Service was a little weird. The waiter was much more friendly and attentive to the people next to us, who apparently looked, I don't know, "classier"? I felt like he took one look at me, and the three young people I was treating (including my son and daughter), and thought I wouldn't know how to tip. I tried to engage him in a little friendly conversation - the kind he had with the adjacent table - but he ignored that. Oh, well. Lucky for him, I wait on tables, too, so I left him a very good tip, anyway. Hope he rethinks his sizing-up policy. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was my "$115" gift certificate. When the bill came, I discovered it was only a $15 gift certificate. Since the only number written anywhere was CLEARLY $115, I invited/ordered accordingly. I was shocked to find out I was $100 deeper in the hole than I expected. They met me halfway on the disputed $100, but still. I almost re-gifted this for Christmas. I also considered using it to treat everyone at one of my jobs to lunch! So here's another TIP, Alberto's: write your numbers down in words. You really should have been responsible for the entire $100 in dispute. It was NOT my fault. I'm just glad I didn't make this someone else's problem by giving them such a nice "gift." I'm disappointed that I didn't insist on the entire $115, and almost disappointed that I left over 20% as a tip. ALMOST. But that waiter needs to learn not to judge people by how they look.

Very disappointing. I've been here several times over the years and have noticed a steady decline since my first, excellent experience. I ordered Clam Chowder that turned out to be overpoweringly salty - I sent it back. My wife and I shared the Amalfi salad. This has shrunk in size. My salmon with crusted pignoli tasted sweet. The fish was a very good quality but the chef obviously didn't know how to cook it. The risotto it came on top of was awful. My wife's baked scrod was similar - very good quality fish but the entire meal was blah! Not going back there on our next visit

Really wanted to like this restaurant. Food was mostly fine, but they did ignore our table for 45 minutes after we ordered. When we told there hostess that we needed water and other drink refills (after 45 minutes), suddenly both our drinks and our food came. We suspect they forgot it under warming lights, as the cheese on the eggplant Parmesan had melted flat; plus, the eggplant was partly hot, partly cold. All in all, we had a disappointing, $30-a-plate evening.

Went here on a weeknight for the early birds dinner. Loved the fact they had a pre fixed three course menu for an affordable price. I was recommended to this place by a friend who spoke very highly of the place. We were seated instantly without a problem, and our waitress came by promptly. I ordered a bottle of their red house wine, upon tasting it, it was very sour. The waitress looked at me like I was crazy and said the wine is normally dry. Um, nice to know except I said it was sour, and I know my wines thank you very much. I'm not sure why she had me taste and wait for my comment if she wasn't going to get us a better bottle. As if it there was no possible way a bad bottle of wine can be produced, even if its airtight closed. Anyway, we got our appetizers which was great but everything thereafter was completely horrible. I ordered the scallops and shrimp with the baby gnocchi -- nothing special ! there was no zing to the meal, super bland. My fiance ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. You can tell an italian restaurant has good food if they make good meatballs. Well, this place does not have good food. The meatballs looked like mushed up dog food formed to make balls. It tasted horrible. Maybe the restaurant was just having a bad day. The plate was drenched with water mixed in with the spaghetti sauce - a big no no. The desert was good but we agreed it's probably because they were frozen - not homemade. The cheesecake was good and my fiance had the chocolate cake, but they definitely tasted store bought. Overall, the service was better than the food, but we will not be going back again. One one star goes to service.

We had to have an early dinner before a concert at the Melody Tent and chose Alberto's based on Yelp reviews. We couldn't have been more pleased with our meals! We both had the Veal Milanese with a side of gnocchi in garlic & oil. Everything was great but the gnocchi side was out of this world! The prices were very reasonable too. Had a great meal and would recommend Alberto's for sure!

The other evening, my husband and I dined at the restaurant. It was not our first and will not be our last! The dinners were outstanding as well as the service. I had the eggplant/veal parm with linguine. The veal was cooked to perfection. The amount of sauce was just right and not over powering. Hubby had veal parm and it was also prepared perfectly. A couple of nice glasses of wine and delish desserts topped off the meals. Looking forward to our return visit soon!

Awesome dinner! We had the lobster diavalo and they split it for us at no charge. Decor a little dated but not food. Would definitely eat here again.
Loved this place. Took the family - 2 adults and three kids. My husband raved that it was the best piece of steak you can get around. My chicken Parmesan was great. The kids ate everything too. Very friendly staff. Awesome place.

The extensive menu, multiple entrances and white tablecloths should be a warning that the restaurant can't balance between priorities: food quality and service. We checked it out since it was "the" Italian restaurant in town but were disappointed by the lackluster pastas.

I have to say, I didn't love Alberto's. The ambiance was okay, the service was good, but the food... not so much. We ordered the homemade meatballs to start. I was really excited to try them since my main dish did not have red sauce, but they were just boring. They had good size, but could've used more time marinating and/or come with more sauce. I have no problem paying for quality, but at over $10, I felt pretty let down. I got the Sinatra, which had chicken, sausage, broccoli rabe, and canelli beans with penne in a garlic, white wine sauce. They nailed the flavor of the sauce and the penne and sausage was yummy, but not so much for the chicken and the broccoli rabe. All and all, another overpriced let down. On the plus side of things, the Malbec on the menu was delicious. If you wind up here, I'd probably stick with the basics ie pasta with just sauce. Maybe a salad.

GLUTEN-FREE Penne offered?! Cool! BUT WITH A PIECE OF REGULAR FARFALLE IN IT?? Not good for those with severe allergies, tsk tsk. Here's how the dialogue went: Me: "Is this gluten free also?" Waiter: "I told you, it's gluten-free pasta." Me: "I mean this part." (I was already pointing at it, now I picked up the piece of non-gf farfalle pasta). The waiter had a surprised, 'that's not good' face and that was the end of the conversation. He later came and asked how everything was. My dinnermate said it was good. Me: "It's okay." Waiter: "Just okay?" Me: "I'm not severely allergic to gluten, but if I were this would be bad," again pointing at the farfalle. My dish wasn't even offered to be changed AND they charged an extra dollar for the gf penne (the only gf pasta offered there, and corn-based at that, double-boo cuz those r both not my faves.) The service is not good: _ Servers & waitstaff didn't wait for the customer to pass but instead expected that they go by first _ The waiter's tone was not pleasant when he said "I told you, it's gluten-free pasta." _ They didn't offer anything for their mistake. _ They're NOT CAREFUL WITH GLUTEN-FREE PREPARATIONS. Would definitely NOT return.

We had a lovely lunch at Alberto's! We sat outside on the sidewalk, and were tended to well except for the wobbly table which no one could do anything about. What we sampled: The bread (standard with a decent olive oil) New England Clam Chowder (outstanding!) Seafood Bisque (even better than the chowder!!) Then they brought out two salads and I was confused because I hadn't ordered salad. I felt bad not eating it but it was covered in carrot shreds and I don't eat raw carrots. Then our entrees: Shrimp and Scallops Gorgonzola (originally chosen by myself, but he liked it better) This was shrimp and scallops in a brandy gorgonzola cream sauce over pasta Shrimp and Scallops Orvieto (chosen by him but I liked it better) This was shrimp and scallops in a marsala wine sauce over baby gnocci (the gnocci was a bit gummy, but overall the dish was delicious and the scallops were cooked perfectly) I would definitely return to Alberto's if I find myself in the Cape again!

Classic Italian, as good as any midrange Italian I've had on LI. They did an excellent job of accommodating our party of 10 (four young kids). I had the pork osso buco which was perfectly cooked. The meat was falling off the bone. My wife had salmon picata which she loved. The bill was a bit pricier than other Cape places but worth the great meal. Skip the dessert and head to Ben and Jerry's next door.

Alberto's is so perfect for a date night -- we sat outside for (what apparently was) an early dinner with no one else seated outside. Our waiter was more than helpful, explaining any items on the menu we weren't sure about and giving great recommendations. The food was exquisite - literally everything on the menu was fantastic. Not much else to say about Alberto's - great ambiance, great food, great time!

What a delight. I had them make me a custom meal if grilled chicken and penne bolognese. The bolognese was pretty good. All of the apps were great too, especially the bacon wrapped scallops.

Albertos is a very nice Italian restaurant on Main Street in Hyannis Ma. I have been there numerous times and have always found this restaurant to be very good. I always look forward to the next experiance there.....The decor is always inviting. I find Albertos to be much better than the typical cheap eclectic cold atmosphere that other places offer today. Albertos is well above that! Albertos offers everything from a bar where you can eat, to a very nice dining room to a sizable function room, as well as outdoor seating during the summer months. Basically they can handle just about any size crowd. The owner is welcoming and has greeted me several times. He will answer or cater to your request in there kitchen. I have found there service to be outstanding. Having been here several times, every entree I have had so far has been very good, its not cheap quantity its "quality" food and atmosphere.

I give 1.5 stars for the food and 2 stars for the service, but since Yelp won't do 1/2 stars, I'll settle for 3. The food was really nothing to write home about. We started with a few oyster on the half shell (nice size and very cold) and a few shrimp cocktail (large, fresh shrimp, but could have been cold) and we split the Caesar salad. For entrees I had the Seafood Alberto which was linguini (I exchanged it for the homemade pasta) with a light tomato sauce with calamari and various shellfish. It was okay. The fish was plentiful and fresh, but it just lacked flavor; though they did go easy on the garlic for me which I requested. Hubby got the tortellini in a garlic alfredo sauce with chicken. He said it was good, though the chicken was a bit dry. Portions were more than generous, so be warned. Dessert was honestly my favorite part. We split the cheesecake Alberto which is a cheesecake with a milk chocolate ganache like topping and throughout the cheesecake, chunks of white chocolate, all in an Oreo cookie crust. YUM! Our waitress was great, friendly, accommodating, even finding a candle to put in the dessert since they didn't have the proper items to write Happy Birthday on the plate. Probably won't be back as there are plenty of other options to choose from and the food was not memorable, well, except for the cheesecake!

Alberto's had top of the line food and excellent service. I had the Veal Parmesan with Angel Hair Pasta and was very much satisfied. My fiance had Salmon, Risotto, and Broccoli, which was also excellent. Ambience was wonderful. But my main reason for writing this review is to show Alberto's my appreciation because my fiance had left her iPhone on the table which they retrieved and mailed out to her address. They went over and above what was expected of them! And they deserve every customer they get!

I went here with my boyfriend and parents to try out a new restaurant. We made reservations thinking that it would be packed on a Saturday night at 6:00pm; but when we got there, the hostess gave a little laugh when we gave her our name and then led us to the half-empty dinner room. On the menu there is a "early-bird" section for those eating dinner from 4 to 6pm any night, so that might've been a better deal. I really wasn't that impressed with the food, though, particularly given the "fancy" feel to restaurant. I had a scallop and homemade pasta special. The sauce that it came in was sweet and odd - not horrible but not very good either. The scallops were large, and I thought the number of scallops was good; however, they weren't seared very well and didn't have the best texture - kind of a shame for such nice scallops. The homemade pasta was good and the colorful pasta made the dish look attractive; however, the pasta was long and very wide so it made eating them a tad difficult. My boyfriend got some kind of beef ravioli which he said was decent, but the portion was pretty small compared to everyone else's dish. We didn't get appetizers, but did get some sangria which was actually pretty good, but came in such a small glass. The only reason I would come back is for my grandmother who is hard of hearing - the restaurant was pretty quiet. Overall, I didn't think it was worth the money. Go to Columbo's instead.

This is a nice Italian restaurant with amazing seafood dishes. I got the clam chowder, which was by far the best that I had on the cape. A must get! I then got the Capri, which was breaded veal with lobster on top. It was a huge portion of veal, well worth the price of the dish and definitely more that I could finish. The veal was really delicious and tender. The lobster was juicy but a little over cooked. I also had the apple crisp dessert which was delicious as well. The service here was great, nice and friendly staff. We had some issues with our wine and the waiter solve it in no time! Well recommended!

Besides the rather gruff host at the front door, our experience at Alberto's was good. We originally wanted to go to Barolo's, but upon finding it mysteriously closed, we stopped into Alberto's since it was very busy. We didn't have a reservation, but there are about ten tables next to the bar that are first come, first serve. We decided to dine there. I thought that was a great option... we didn't really miss any of the ambiance and the service was amazing. I loved the bartender who was serving us. The food was also great. We ordered the bruschetta to start. Alberto's version was garlic bread with pesto, cheese and tomatoes. I got the Fruita de Mare. Fresh lobster, shrimp, muscles, clams, scallops and calamari over linguine with olive oil and a little marinara. I honestly could have used more marinara, but the amount of seafood was ludicrous and awesome. We split the chocolate mousse for dessert, which was really more like a mousse cake. It was probably one of the highlights of the meal. Absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back at some point. Since my boyfriend and I were running the half marathon the next day, we didn't order any booze, but they had an impressive wine list as well as Cape Cod Red on tap. Next time I will partake.

Yum! Really enjoyed a great dinner at Alberto's in Feb 2013. Nothing to complain about. Delightful.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

(4)Robert S.

(5)Beth E.
Slow. Slow.

(4)Salem A.
Very good food and friendly staff. I had the chicken and eggplant parmesan and it was delicious.

(3)Robert V.
We made a reservation, but things seemed a bit disorganized when we arrived, so we had a bit of a wait. Once seated things went pretty smoothly - server was attentive but not too much so. Food was very good but not outstanding. Would definitely return if in the area.
(3)Daniel R.
(5)Tina C.
Fine Northern Italian cuisine in an upscale setting. There is a piano player to set the romantic mood combined with great food and excellent service. This restaurant has a lot of seafood.
(5)Jill L.

Alberto's was great we had a party of 12 with one vegitarian and two gluten free in our family . They were Extremly accommodating . The food and the service was very good . I have been there a number of tes and have never had a bad meal or bad service . Great job ! Thanks

(4)Kathy B.
(4)Danielle B.
(4)Crystal D.
(3)Zelda P.
Excellent food and service. Food is high quality and well-prepared, very traditional southern Italian. The ambiance is nice, remincent of decades gone by, but in a good way. Prices very fair, especially considering the quality.
(4)Adam D.
(4)Geoff T.
Service was great with our waiter going out of his way to make my wife and I feel welcome. We ate outside. The Seafood Chowder and bread was yummy. My wife said the dressing on her salad was tasty. The perfect way to cargo load before my wife ran the Boston Marathon.
(4)Ron N.

(5)Dave U.
(5)Nancy W.
(4)Rod K.
(5)D D.
(2)Elizabeth M.
(4)Matthew T.
This is really very good Northern Italian food. The service is always excellent. Unless you think of yourself as a food snob, chances are you'll really enjoy this place. Good food, fair price, excellent service.
(4)Diana C.
(5)Cat X.
Too bad.
(2)Mel V.
The service here was a little bit meh and slow. I had the lobster ravioli and it was divine. Props on the check-in Yelp deal! For the Cape, though, there are definitely more worth-while places to check out. You won't miss out if you don't do this italian joint.
(4)John L.

Love this restaurant...great menu, delicious food, good prices! We can't wait to return!
(5)Claire N.
Great food. Order appetizers sa your main and it won't be too expensive. Great service.
(4)Mark F.
(5)Stasy P.
excellent service, very friendly and professional staff! We love this place and will be coming back every time we will be in Hyannis! thank you for a lovely 3rd of July dinner !!!
(5)Brian J.
Food was good. Had the fried calamari, Alberto's seafood. Good amount of shrimp, scallops, calamari, and fish. Brought the kids and the staff was patient and helpfully.
(4)Rich B.
The food was great. I would go back. We arrived just before 6:00 and were pleasantly surprised that there was an early bird special that gave us a free salad and dessert. Service was fine.
(4)George T.
(5)L. F.
(4)Diane M.
We had a wonderful dinner at this elegant restaurant. The wait service was friendly and helpful. Good meal, appropriately priced (entrees $20 to $30). I could imagine it's a nice place for a special occasion.
(4)Maddy W.
Can't wait to go back:-)
(5)R. G.
My parents took me to Alberto's a couple of nights ago. The food was good, but the tables were so close together and the room was so loud that we could not hear each other without literally shouting. My throat was sore by the end of the meal because of the strain on my vocal cords.
(3)David P.
(4)Richard C.
Terrific food and a friend and I had one of the most romantic evenings ever starting with dinner and Italian music at Albertos's. It was memorable enough so we both still remember it fondly 10 years later.
(4)Abby M.
(3)Duchess C.

Alberto's Ristorante - Hyannis, MA - 4/15/2015 Three slices of room temperature French bread...Olive Oil with a medley of Olives... Cakes of butter... The bread almost has a sourdough quality to it and was quite scrumptious... I usually prefer my bread served warm but this was quite spectacular. Turns out they get their bread from a gourmet French bakery around the corner... Next up... Zuppa de Pesce! A tomato based soup with cod, orange rind and herbs and spices served with a potato aioli, crushed red pepper flakes, parsley flakes, Garlic and Olive Oil. From all I've heard about this soup I would have expected something a bit more robust... Don't get me wrong..., It was good but it didn't take my taste buds hostage... I would have referred something with a bit more of a kick and more of a stew as this dish is intended... And as far as the orange rind..., I didn't taste that... I think it was more fish soup than the dish that originated in Genoa Italy... Call me spoiled but they don't remove the table crumbs between courses here either... For the main... Seafood Alberto... Fresh clams, mussels, scallops, shrimps, calamari and Lobstah sautéed with garlic, extra virgin olive oil, white wine and fresh plumb tomato sauce over linguini fini... It was OK... Didn't bowl me over and truth be told the calamari was a bit chewy... Figured I was on the Cape so go seafood but I guess you can't always judge a book by it's cover... Nice decor and super friendly staff giving an impression of elegant fine dining but... You may like it but for me... I've done it and can check it off my list... I'm looking to be wow'd and I just wasn't... I'll skip my usual cappuccino and desert for fear of the triple play in disappointment...

(3)Nikki R.
Had a delicious dinner here! I started out with the seafood bisque. Very tasty but was definitely missing those chunks of seafood you really wanted. My fiancé got the chowder and it was pretty on point. For our entrees I got the lobster ravioli and he got the seafood Alberto. Lobster rav was great! No complaints. The seafood Alberto was also wonderful. Humongous shrimp, scallops, mussels among everything else. Portions are huge! Go hungry. Waitstaff was super nice and loved to chit chat. Glad we chose this as our first dinner while visiting Cape Cod.

(3)Jonathan C.
This has been the best place yet here in Hyannis that I have ate at. I am 100% Italian and the lobster scallop Alfredo was absolutely delicious! Very welcoming, with great service.
(5)Teresa W.
(5)Paul B.
(3)Fernanda P.
(2)Kiki W.
(2)Susan D.
Try the Sinastra pasta with Penne, chicken, sausage broccoli rabe and beans in light sauce. White Sangria is very good - not overly sugary. my husband enjoyed the veal parm. Decent service.
(5)Abby I.
(2)Sunny T.
(4)Robert A.
Amazing amazing amazing! Server was perfect! Went over the menu for us and was very attentive. This is a must for anyone vacationing in cape code. Fair prices and the food is just awesome! The sangria is a bit strong!
(5)Elena B.
(3)Nancy H.
Came here for the first time this summer and loved it! The cocktails were wonderful and the tortellini Alfredo with chicken was creamy and delicious. Expensive but worth it.
(4)Bill G.
(5)Jordan H.
(3)Tom M.
(1)Linda B.
Just an amazing menu & beautiful decor. This was one of our very best meals on the Cape and I would consider this restaurant a must stop in the future. Gnocchi knocked its out. Melon wrapped in posciutto was divine, as was the pate.
(5)Sal O.
(1)Bob H.
My wife and I love going to Alberto's. Food is always great. Service is excellent! We highly recommend.
(5)Kevin R.
I've had dinner at Alberto's many times and I've always enjoyed it. My wife & I like to sit at one of the high tops in the bar. It is dark and cozy. The service has always been good. I am partial to seafood and pasta, but the veal is good, as well. The wine list is large enough with proper prices.
(4)Melissa M.
(4)Megan K.

(2)Ed B.
(3)Jay M.

(5)J. R.

(3)Glenda C.
(4)Stephanie F.

(3)Andy C.
(2)Chris E.
(1)Fatima M.
(1)Glau F.
My Bday and I just did the wrong pick for dinner, food has no taste, I ordered the stuffed gnocchi the sauce were too acid and very sour my husband ordered beef ravioli with wild mushroom no taste very boring. Definitely not coming back.
(1)Samantha S.
My daughter found steel pieces on her meatball spaghetti dinner. The fried calamari was soggy and tasteless.
(1)Kristie M.
(5)Jake G.
(5)alison b.
Awesome dinner! We had the lobster diavalo and they split it for us at no charge. Decor a little dated but not food. Would definitely eat here again.
(5)R R.
I wandered into Alberto's when I first came to town here... I wasn't sure what it was but when I entered I felt that I might have been under dressed! this place was classy! how relieved I was when they sat me down no problems, usually in places this nice you have to dress up so I was glad that they let me in casually! I started with the clams and oysters on the half shell. these morsels of love came fresh and cold with a great cocktail sauce! I had the mussels diavolo for my main entrée and I finished every singe one of them! they all had amazing flavor and each one was nice and steamy hot, the sauce they were cooked in was perfectly seasoned and they all came out of their shells like butter! I can not wait to return!
(4)Jared D.
This place is getting 4 stars. Not 3, because the staff were incredibly accommodating for our extended family of seven, then nine, and provided top-notch service. Not 5, because, despite a substantial menu my cousin likened to "a New York diner," the food just didn't blow me away. I ordered the Sinatra, a mélange of chicken, sausage, broccoli rabe, and penne, which was too al dente for my taste. In retrospect, I should have asked if they would sub out for pappardelle, but the past is the past. In fairness, the group in general seemed pleased with their meals. Anyhow, this place is definitely great for a big family meal, and while we're not Italian, our unique blend of Jews and Irish Catholics did an awfully good impersonation... The take-away here is: bring the gang, and enjoy!
(4)Erin O.
Loved this place. Took the family - 2 adults and three kids. My husband raved that it was the best piece of steak you can get around. My chicken Parmesan was great. The kids ate everything too. Very friendly staff. Awesome place.
(5)Laura W.
The extensive menu, multiple entrances and white tablecloths should be a warning that the restaurant can't balance between priorities: food quality and service. We checked it out since it was "the" Italian restaurant in town but were disappointed by the lackluster pastas.
(2)Cassandra M.
(2)Grace P.
