Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Since they have changed management the food is better than ever. The waitstaff was nice but seemed to disapear for too long. The chicken and rice soup is a favorite of my daughter and grandson and I like the hot and sour. The boneless ribs have very little fat on them which makes me smile :) The bar is still very sketchy. Regulars own it and always have. I almost walked in the bars front door and actually stepped back because I didn't want to be seen in there. Still a great place for take out and even eat in.

I have tried this place several times since it looks more legit than other local places. And I think the food got worse every time. I think people only go because there's a bar. I hope the drinks are better than the food.

This place has been under new management for about a year now. What an amazing change. First off, parking is great. It's a big huge lot with a CVS, a liquor store, pizza joint etc. I've ordered pick-up, got delivery and have eaten inside. Always so quick! I personally have never waited longer than 10 minutes even after ordering a bunch of food. Always piping hot and delicious!!! The chicken wings are HUGE! Crunchy on the outside and moist and tasty on the inside. The crab rangoon is cooked perfectly and some of the best i've had. Chicken teriyaki......what can i say. My mouth is salivating just thinking about them. Veggi fried rice is full of onions, green peppers, sliced carrots and mushrooms. The only thing i wish they had in it is water chestnuts. I always add them to it when i get take-out. The guy at the front desk is always so polite and always smiling even when you can tell he's pretty busy. The dining area is kept pretty clean and it's lit perfectly. Not to dark not to light. The bar area is pretty divey which i love! Everyone is wicked friendly even when your a stranger. Bartenders always working hard and will put whatever sports game you request on one of the TV's. Also they don't skimp on the alcohol in the drinks. Score!!!! They also have Keno here and a pool table. What more can you ask for!!

Stopped in for a bite with my little stinkers that were dying of starvation. I ordered Cashew Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein to share with my little ones. The food was served piping hot, very quickly and was delicious. Much to my surprise, the typical MSG or salt overload was non-existent. Pricing is on the low end side, the portions are just right and the staff is friendly. What more can you ask for?

Ever since new management took over, GP has been revitalized and improved. The food taste better and the service is much faster and more attentive. Quality food at great prices.

New ownership took over and since then the place is great. Good rice and great crab rangoons

Walking into the bar area is like the Star Wars Bar!! Most of the food is just ok but the boneless spareribs and steak teriyaki is out of this world!!!! That's why I give this dive a 4 star rating.

Finally had a sit-down dinner here at Golden Pacific. Service was exceptionally quick. Literally ordered our food and it was out and served to our table no longer than 5 minutes later. Absolutely amazing! Dining room was empty as per usual. My brother ordered a Mai Tai and woah-boy!!! was it strong! Had just a sip and it burned the whole way down. Jeezzz. I know where to come if I ever need a strong, CHEAP drink! Prices are very reasonable, couldn't have been more than $25 for 3 of us to eat huge dinners. Nice touch at the end, they give you a little dish of cubed pineapple pieces to cleanse the palate. And of course, fortune cookies to break apart and forsee our mystical futures! May consider eating in here once and a while!

You have got to be kidding. We went to this place specifically because of the 3 previous high Yelp reviews. They slung out the same piles of crap that passes for Chinese food in most South Shore places. Objectively it deserves a 1.5 to a 2, , but I am giving it a 1 to drive down the averaged rating that most people quickly look at. My sesame chicken was slathered with some sort of super dominating dark sauce, my egg roll was bulk frozen low end, and my pork fried rice should have gone directly to the dumpster. To give you some perspective on what I think good chinese food is, Great Chow in Wollaston, a few years ago, was right up there. Unfortunately they have gone down the tubes completely, but back then everything there was top notch, off the top of my head the crab rangoon, chicken fried rice, hot and sour soup. If you thought that was very good as well, then we are on the same page about what we are looking for, and it would not be this sort of swill. This was twice this week we tried places soley based on Yelping; happily the other one (Porter Bellies in Brighton ) was quite good. Please Yelpers, if what you think is good Chinese food approximates the plates of dung that used to be scooped out in almost all places in Dorchester in the late 1960s, please identify yourself as such.

Ive been there for lunch and let me tell you something... The price is fantastic for what you are getting. The portions are huge and pretty good. The service is pretty fast. Dinning room is always empty when i go there for lunch!

I ordered for delivery, the wait time wasn't too bad. The food smelled really good, but taste was a different story. Everything we got was pretty bland tasting. The pupu platter seemed lacking of food. The chicken fingers had a weird texture, and chicken fingers are usually my favorite part. ;o( I have definitely had better!
