This review is in response to SP who said that Theo's was dirty and the food and coffee was gross. I think you must be a competitor in the area, because not one of your comments was accurate. Theo's is a small, family owned business and is immaculate. I have seen each and every employee, scrubbing, cleaning and bleaching. I also happen to know the owner, who is an absolute fanatic about cleanliness in the restaurant. Don't know what you ordered, but the food is always fresh, delicious and homemade, the coffee is my favorite in the area and the staff is always fun to be around. Maybe you need glasses.

I have been here 3 times with my son and others. The food is ok at best. Coffee sucks. Service leaves alot to be desired. But I kept trying because I like local and small businesses. Last time I went I actually looked around. The place is dirty. Disgustingly dirty. The stools are covered in dirt from 1950 it looks like. Can't imagine the last time they dusted. Makes me think what the heck is my food being cooked on, in, and near. Gross... just gross.

This is my new favorite breakfast place. I eat there at least once a week and the food is well prepared, very generous servings. I always look for Beth, the epitome of a classy and classic server. Her positive attitude and smile set the stage for a terrific experience. The crispy home fries are worth the trip. I found the cheese cake a bit grainy but it's home made and with strawberries, excellent. Parking is extensive. Be prepared to engage characters who dine here.

Great breakfast for great prices. In Georgetown many restaurants come and go, but Theo's has thrived for years. It's a laid back place for laid back people. The menu is classic breakfast food For diner prices. They have great coffee, huge pancakes, and every egg dish is perfect. The bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich is a great staple and you can get it on toast, a bagel, or an English muffin. The pancakes are as big as the plate and come in many varieties and the home fries are to die for. They are crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside.many meals come with them, but if yours isn't one of them, definitely consider getting it as a side. Great service, they hire a lot of friendly local teens for the wait staff. They accept cards debit/credit with a minimum payment of $10. I go as often as I can!

Visited here recently. Very quiet place. My children ordered a cup of soup and I got eggs and hash. I was a little surprised that the bill was about 25.00 dollars for that. We did get milk and coffee too but still. The soup was a hit and the kids ate all the summer veggies so that was great. The hash that I specifically asked if it was homemade was NOT. It had to be canned it looked smelled and tasted canned. I was disappointed the server wasn't honest, I would have just ordered something else. Server was nice. I'd visit again and would have given 4 stars if they'd been honest about the hash.

This is the little local breakfast spot ran by a small army of lovely older ladies. This isn't the Hilton nor would I ever want it to be as it would ruin this places charm. It's not frilly or fancy it's a diner. The people are nice, the food is always freshly made reminds you of your grandmother making you a big breakfast sat morning when you've come to visit for the weekend. It's comfort food at its best. My only compliant is the 10 dollar min for Cards, I never carry cash or Id go more often for my morning coffee and muffin instead of Dunkins.

I hate to say it, but this place is not good at all. Would not recommend, I kept giving it chances over and over again but each time it got significantly worse. The food is very bland and not tasty. I ordered scrambled eggs and got the thinnest eggs ever and the toast tasted really old. Also tried the French toast and it had no flavor at all..Disappointing :/

Theo's has great salad specials, and a very friendly staff. Their cupcakes are also to die for, especially the Pink Lemonade. It has wonderful small town charm, and I love going there for breakfast when I can - feels just like a family get together just with people I'd never met before. I'm thinking people reported them closed while they were away for a week or two earlier in the season, but they are definitely open and doing well. Nicest people you could ask for, family owned, homemade food; basically perfect if that's what you're in the mood for!

This is a GREAT family run and owned business. We just happened upon it one day while taking a road trip. We were hungry so I pulled up Yelp and it led us to Theo's. We were warmly greeted and served a great variety of breakfasts. Stop in - you won't regret it!

First of all, I believe that Matthew's review was meant for "Theo's Pizzeria" in Ipswich, NOT "Theo's Restaurant" in Georgetown. That being said, let me give two thumbs up to THIS "Theo's"! I've lived in Georgetown for a year and had yet to go here until this weekend. Now I'm bummed that I've missed out on so many great meals!! It's a small, no-frills little diner in Georgetown center that serves a mean breakfast at reasonable prices. We went on a Sunday morning, got a table right away and the service was fast & friendly. I ordered Eggs Benedict and it was a HUGE serving, made just to my liking. Very tasty. The home fries were prepared perfectly to my taste ~ crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with just the right blend of spices. My boyfriend ordered a bacon & cheese omelette and it was equally scrumptious. And, again, the portions were generous & cooked just right. I am a big fan of diners & dives, especially the "greasy spoon" family-type breakfast joints and this place fit the bill. There was also a great lunch menu that I hope to experience in the near future. They open very early in the morning and close by mid-afternoon. A great option for those looking for a casual, affordable yet tasty alternative to some of the stuffier places on the North Shore.

Great hidden diner. Good value with the big portions. Will be back!

"Matthew C." needs to rethink his review, since he's definitely NOT talking about the Theos Restaurant in Georgetown. Last I checked, they don't serve pizza and definitely don't deliver. I'm not gonna comment on the food since i haven't been there in 2+ years, but "Jen" seems to have a fair and accurate review.

Now this place knows how to do breakfast. Thick cuts of bacon, great pancakes, excellent grilled coffee rolls, delicious home fries. I could go on and on. Its not a huge place but its fantastic. Watch out for the Church Rush on Sundays, you'll be waiting forever for a table.

Theo's is a place I used to go to all the time, now I don't get there as much as I would like because I am not working in the area. The food is FANTASTIC and the service is even better!!

The pizza is good, and when I lived in Ipswich, MA I went there and got take out OFTEN. I DID hate that the woman who took the orders did NOT care AT ALL about me and didn't seem to speak english well NOR care if I lived or died or often NEVER paid attention to me when I came in. That is SERVICE that makes for people like ME to write BAD reviews. You have to bring your own beer / wine, which isn't a problem for me as I don't drink, but it could deter others from coming. Seating is OK, trying to get parking is a PAIN, even 10-15 minutes to run in and pick up is a pain at times. Someone posted that Theo's does NOT deliver, I have SEEN them deliver FOR SURE! Waiter service is BARELY service, it's the woman who attends the front desk at times, unless somehow they get someone else, so trying to get their lackluster attention is a challenge. You do NOT want to feel like YOU are the problem when someone else is at fault.
