I went here with my boyfriend for valentine's. Great food (I had the gnocchi ... yummy... oh and the desert was good too), top notch service, easy parking and they even had a great table reserved for us... which is priceless on a busy valentine's saturday night.

It seems that for this price, you should get a little bit more than you actually do. I love pasta, but what I got here was rather ordinary, something I could make at home for a fraction of the cost. The atmosphere is quite nice - they really did a great job, especially considering what they had to work with (i.e., the scary Bennigan's that used to be at this location). The parking lot is always packed so it appears that they do a very good business. It seems like people really like to celebrate special occasions like birthdays or showers here, since I always see people dressed up carrying presents who are walking in there :) I ordered the cucumber martini - would not recommend this, it is more like rubbing alcohol. Their double espresso martini is good though. Their focaccia bread is probably the highlight of the meals I've had here. I would not recommend their salad - the dressing is way too salty. I think the service at this location is way better than at their Wellesely one (where I went to recently and the silverware wasn't all that clean).

I've come here about 3 times in the last two weeks. The bread that comes to the table is literally addicting. I've gotten the spaghetti bolognese multiple times but realistically everything I've tried has been great. Good service and great food, I'll keep coming here

I'm sad this place only has 3.5 stars. I've been getting a lot of togo lately and it's always been fine. Recently went in for brunch and was really happy with everything! The staff was so friendly and polite. They have a great brunch deal where you get a mimosa or Bellini included with your entree and it's not some dinky small drink. It's a regular size drink! My Tuscan Benny was SOOO good! And the potatoes were delicious! Nice and crusty on the outside, yum! At first I didn't think it looked like a lot of food, but I was stuffed by the time I was almost finished. The hollandaise sauce is fresh made and yummy! You might want to ask for extra as they only gave a small amount. The children's pizza was Huge! And the meal comes with a drink and dessert (sundae or fruit) Can't forget the yummy bread either. They have warm bread that has a crusty seasoned top and soft inside that you can dip in spicy olive oil. They also give you lots of skinny bread sticks which the kids enjoy. They have a large parking lot with special pairing for Togo food which is really convenient! Don't miss out in the brunch deal! And it's Saturdays too!!

Good Italian fare. Flexible staff and flexible on food combinations The calamari starter and eggplant rolatini were tasty and the sauce was spicy. Entree was salmon with pasta. The fish was a nice size but was little overcooked. Overall a good meal.

What a let down. HUGE let down. We have been really pleased with this location as you can read from prior postings.Today the host and hostess both, yes BOTH, tried to seat us - it was awkward. By the way the place was nearly empty, during lunch - brunch, so seating should not have been an issue. It was uncomfortable - so we just left.

This place should really have a more extensive light menu for lunches with all of the business nearby. Salad list was very simple. I was craving veggies and ended up with like half a tomato with a rot spot. Prices are a little high for lunch too. Server was hard to find a few times. Would not go back with all the other options.

We made reservations for Papa Razzi based on my husband's great meal at one of their other locations. We were seated right away. Our waiter seemed to have a lot of tables, so while service was a little slow, we didn't mind. I got a lemon drop martini (delicious) and we ordered the eggplant rollatini appetizer, which was nicely plated and tasty. Our problem came when our entrees arrived. I'd ordered chicken picatta with red roasted potatoes (a substitution from the normal side of asparagus risotto). My meal was literally 4 pieces of chicken and 4-5 potatoes thrown on a plate. They were cooked, but missing ingredients and not plated in any way. I had to ask my waiter to bring me capers because there were none on my chicken, and I did say to him "this is chicken picatta, it's supposed to have capers." I looked around and many people around me were having the same meal, and I could see that their chicken was served with lemon sauce and capers, and nicely plated. My chicken just tasted like plain chicken cooked with lemon juice. The potatoes were good. My husband ordered the mushroom and chicken risotto. It also was just thrown in a small bowl. In fact, it had barely any flavor and just tasted like plain rice. My husband started dousing the plate with salt and pepper. Our waiter came over to "help" with the pepper and noticed our pepper mill was empty, so he grabbed us a new one. I ended up giving my husband some of my chicken since the risotto portion was so small, and at least my chicken tasted like something! The waiter didn't ask how the food was and we didn't have time to send back dishes and ask for them to be fixed or get something else. Instead we decided to just eat quickly so we'd have enough time to get dessert at Ben & Jerry's before we picked up the kids. We will not be back.

my boyfriend and i recently met another couple here for dinner and had an enjoyable experience. it was my and his first time here, and we're glad they made the suggestion. the menu is straight-up italian with a variety of starters (charcuterie and beef carpaccio included), salads, pizzas, and entrees. truthfully- this place is a little pricey for my taste, so our plan was to play it safe and share some items instead of totally splurging. we ordered a bottle of wine for the table. our waiter was very good and attentive. case in point: we had accidentally ordered a half-bottle for four people. while that MAY have been what we wanted, when our server noticed, he double-checked with us, which was much appreciated. there were daily specials, one of which they were out of: osso bucco. this is one of my very favorite dishes, and i'm sad they were out, because i saw one or two walk by and was instantly jealous of the lucky customers on the receiving end. each couple ordered a salad to split: we got a caesar, they got a caprese. i very much appreciated that they portioned both salads out for two, without any extra charge. the caprese looked beautiful and fresh. our caesar was a generous size, with a hefty amount of nicely chunked parmesan cheese, and perfectly thin, crisp crostini. the dressing is house-made, and had the perfect amount of tang. for entrees, the other couple got a lemon chicken entree and gnocchi. both dishes were in the mid $20 range, but were huge, so i think it was worth it. they both raved about the taste. my boyfriend and i chose to share a meatball pizza. this pizza was the perfect size for two. slightly charred in their wood-fired oven, the crust was excellent. fairly thin and crisp, with just a touch of chew. the tomato sauce was sweet, there was a good amount of cheese, and the fresh basil added at the end really made it. the meatball was a little odd; they were crumbled, so it actually looked like sausage. but the flavor was decent. for dessert, the other couple who are crazy for creme brulee ordered the panna cotta, which they finished in about two minutes. it must have been very good. my boyfriend got the apple crisp topped with vanilla gelato. while i liked that there were bits of char on the crisp layer, that was the only thing that was special about this dessert. otherwise, it was just your everyday apple crisp. for a table of 4, including a bottle of wine and 3 courses of food, we spent $150, including tip. not something we can afford to do every night of the week, but worth it every once in a while. if you're in the mood for attentive, professional service in a romantic/somewhat upscale atmosphere- this is place is for you. note: on a somewhat warm-ish day in december (mid 40s), this place was HOT. we were there at peak dining time, so the place was full, but that, combined with the heat generated from the oven in the open kitchen, created an atmosphere that was uncomfortably warm. i suggest dressing in layers, in case you have a similar experience.

Although we have been here a few times, we didn't know about the rewards program. There are probably tons of information all over the place and on the menu and in the bill fold; but I probably am just jaded with so many programs to join. But we had a great server who told us about it and we joined the Bene card program. We'll see if it works out. For dinner we had the Osso buco which was very good, the chicken parm which was tasty, and a kids pizza which was satisfying. As an appetizer we had the carpaccio. It didn't come off the cold plate very well , so we had to use bread to sweep it up. Tasty food. The chocolate cake dessert was good as well.

I was pleasantly surprised with Papa Razzi. I had never been to one, let alone this location, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I envisioned something along the lines of a Macaroni Grille/Olive Garden, so I wasn't expecting took much considering I haven't stepped foot in one of those places in about 15 years. My friend and I were just looking for a place to have drinks/apps and location was key. I suggested Papa Razzi because it was close to our office and I figured they'd have decent wine. The service from the start was impeccable and I was surprised to learn that they are a "scratch kitchen" meaning they make everything in the restaurant. That was great to know because I assumed everything was pre-made, frozen, shipped in, etc. The calamari was delicious, the pizza was good (nothing too mind blowing, but clearly homemade), the wine selection and quality was very good, and the cocktails were well-made (definitely on the strong side). We arrived at 5:15pm and were seated right away at a booth by a lot of windows, which was nice. By 7pm, the place was full and bustling, but I liked that it wasn't too loud. You could still easily have a conversation. I wish I could remember the name of our server. She was very tall, thin, attractive, with very blonde hair pulled back. She was great! I would definitely come back here for a nice dinner or drinks.

This place is excellent! The restaurant is immaculate, bright, and modern. The staff is extremely friendly and well trained. The food is outstanding! If you want authentic Italian food, in a fun upscale setting, this is the place for you.

I love this place! I go here there all the time and I've never had one unpleasant experience. The staff always goes above and beyond to be friendly and welcoming, and the food is good and reasonably prices. I have very severe celiac disease and this is one of the few places where I can eat safely without getting sick. My boyfried doesn't have any kind of dietary restrictions and he is also satisfied every time we eat at Papa Razzi. They do such a great job taking care of ridiculous strict dietary needs like mine. If I have to live with a disease that only lets me safely eat at one restaurant, I'm glad it's Papa Razzi!

I've eaten at Papa Razzi in Boston several times and always had a great time. Unfortunately this location was not impressive. My husband and I got takeout one night a while ago and it was gross. They messed up our order so we had to wait a while for them to remake the food. My spaghetti with meatballs had 2 meatballs, and the sauce was watery and flavorless. For an Italian restaurant you'd expect them to get spaghetti and meatballs right, but it was a complete failure. I haven't returned to this location since this experience and they're less than one mile from my apartment.

Wow wow wow!!!! Just came here for the first time. I must say the waiter made this entire experience perfect. This is my first time here and I had no idea what to expect. I came in with my mind set On shrimp scampi but it wasn't on the menu. Luckily we had the most amazing waiter, Cameron. He suggested an item that was close and fixed it up for me. My make-shift shrimp scampi came out amazing. And not to mention the long island I got was made to perfection. I'll defiantly be coming back.

Absolutely fabulous everytime I visit always greeted imediately with a smile, never have to wait, even when they're really busy! And the service is always excellent and very presice and timely. And staff is very knowledgeable about the different foods. Still have not visited for lunch, but the lunch menu looks wonderful as well!

Having moved recently to the area and driven past Papa Razzi many times, I was looking forward to the first dinner there. We made a reservation using OpenTable because it was a Friday night, and was able to walk right in and be seated immediately. The first thing my boyfriend and I noticed? It was really, really loud. The waitress was very nice but a bit green, the food was okay but overpriced. My boyfriend had lobster that was kind of flavorless; my pasta was decent and enough for leftovers. Overall, I suppose we may try it again, but I'm not really dying to.

Enjoyable Had a great time with my family here. Very good service, friendly and attentive. Meals were solid. Nothing "fantastic", but had a lot of choices and will have to try some other items next time. The Caesar salad is worth ordering. Close to authentic (which being fishy).

Bad bad, bad food.. They had a new chef tonight, who probably didn't even double-check what went out of his kitchen tonight.. The bruschetta was deconstructed; the calamari fritter was not crispy, the risotto that came with lemon chicken had a burnt taste, the salmon was overcooked, bland without any seasoning, and with precisely one tbsp of sauce.. The brownie came with a hot chocolate fudge, except which was not hot, but gluggy-- the apple crumble was lacking crumble, and again just lukewarm.. Though the manager was highly apologetic and didnt charge for the entree, i still dont see a reason to revisit.. Two stars for the portion side and ambience and service/attitude.. Otherwise, an avoidable restaurant!!

Two stars for food- zero stars for service! The good news is that the food was pretty good! Delicious bread, great caprese salad and good entrees! HOWEVER THE SERVICE or better yet the LACK OF SERVICE ruined the meal. Normally I would not care so much about the service if the food is good and worth waiting for. But as we sat and watch water being spilled, food brought to the wrong tables and incorrect meals being served it made it hard to enjoy our meal. Seriously when the waiter spills the water I would expect him to clean it off the chairs as well as the table. And when the hostess brings the customer to that table and tries to seat them on the wet chair I needed to say something. Yet the hostess gave me a dirty look for interrupting her instead of thanking me for noticing the wet chair! If you want a good laugh and plenty of time to waste then come here. But expect to see a comedy of errors and don't expect to get the meal you ordered !!

I'm a HUGE Papa Razzi fan for full disclosure - I used to work at one for a long time waiting tables so my standards are a little different than others I guess. We had a great experience at this location, early on a saturday night. Its easy for us to order - since I know the menu like the back of my hand and I know they will pretty much do whatever you want, if you're nice about it. My husband gets the Chicken Parm and loves it. I get the chicken scaloppini, swapping out the potatoes with a side of pasta in the arribata sauce (its better than the pomodoro) and we order a 1 tiramasu to go. When you get home, put that dessert in the freezer - it tastes so much better frozen. The service was great, clean and friendly - but we also went around 5:30pm soooo... i'd go back and probably will soon!

Do not go here and order a salad. They are expensive and tiny. The entrees are probably the best with some pasta and parm. Pizzas are good but I never seem to have enough toppings... I do enjoy how thin the crust is though.

My friend and I stopped in at Papa Razzi of Framingham for a Friday night dinner since we both agreed on Italian food. I've also spent a lot of time having dinner and drinks at this physical location in the past when the place was once a Bennigan's (2.5 stars) a long time ago. This restaurant has a nice layout with a modern atmosphere with an open clean dining area, bar area to the right side and the kitchen action in the back is visible. The place definitely looks nothing like its predecessor restaurant & bar, which was very dark and a bit depressing atmosphere with also an enclosed glass bar area (per old Town regs). When we arrived here, there was about a 30 minute wait for a table. We hung out at the bar until the hostess found us and seated us promptly (wait was about 20 minutes). The waiter arrived shortly after with crunchy thin breadsticks & butter and took our order. The complementary focaccia bread was served fresh & hot and was soft inside, firm outside, very good overall. SALADS: We each split 2 salads to start, which were the Panzanella ($7.99) and Insalata Di Papa ($7.99), which were both very fresh and tasty. ENTREES: The Pollo Piccata ($17.50) had very tender boneless grilled chicken breasts in a white wine lemon caper sauce with creamy asparagus risotto, cooked just right. The Cavatappi Affumicati ($14.99)pasta was cooked al dente and tossed with soft roasted eggplant, roma tomato chunks, smoked mozzarella, & romano cheese. Both entrees tasted just fine and were satisfying. The service for the most part was good and prompt. However, I was originally served the wrong entree (shrimp in a tomato cream sauce over linguine) by a "runner" and this was corrected quickly with apologies after informing the waiter. We were also offered grated cheese on the entrees. We passed on dessert and had some of the food boxed up to go. The total bill before tip was around $51 (not including drinks from the bar).

The Papa Razzi chain went downhill after Charles Sarkis sold to a restaurant group. The service is pretty bad at this location. The Concord location is far better.

First visit to Papa-Rizza, impressed with the food & service. Even with an order problem that brought two of our meals very late, our waiter & the manager really made things right for us by picking up the tab for the two late meals & delivering a fabulous desert tray for the whole table. I was impressed. Excellent menu selection, special requests no problem. Good food, good quantity, a little noisy. We made reservations for 7 people and walked right in. No question I would return.

I have been to 4 Papa Razzi locations: the Newbury St, the Wellesley (new), the old Chestnut Hill Mall, and now this one. This one is definitely the largest and has the classiest decor. The standout item, however, was the SERVICE. Our waiter was so attentive and nice, it felt like we were regulars even though we had only been there once! I made a bunch of edits to my order and wasn't sure I was served the right dish at first, and our waiter was completely responsible and respectful and made sure I had the right item. The food was decent. I had the eggplant rollatini (technically an appetizer), and it was really really cheesy and fried; couldn't really taste much of the actual eggplant. The foccacio beforehand and caesar salad are always standout. As usual, an enjoyable dinner experience.

Beautiful restaurant inside, just a bit of a pain to get to due to Rt. 9 traffic. 4 stars is for the attractice decor and solicitous service; food was more like 3.5 stars. We got the Pollo Piccatta and the Pollo Valdostana (both good, not outstanding). The childrens' menu was pretty good as well. Would consider coming back.

Food is great, hot and ready to eat. This place is no Olive Garden, here is a place you need to get nice clothes on and enjoy REAL Italian food. Deserts are marvelous and fresh. Can't wait to go back!

I have been here a handful of times for lunch over the past couple of years and have never had a bad experience. The service is always on point and the waiters/waitresses always know their stuff! It is not a restaurant I would come to often but once in a while it is nice. The last time I came we were in a bit of a rush and let the waiter know this - he did an excellent job of helping us get out quick without making us feel rushed. He knew everything possible about the menu and the specials and guided me to the perfect lunch. I had the chicken and risotto special of the day. I figured since it was lunch it would be a "lunch size" portion - it was huge and I left so stuffed! The risotto was cooked just right and had really good flavor. I have also tried a couple of their fish specials which are always good and cooked perfectly.

Papa Razzi is not what they once were. I used to go to the one on the south shore with my mom all the time. I went last weekend with my boyfriend. I had hair in my water and on my tiramisu (2 different types) bartender / server just laughed it off - then the manager came over and comped my b/f dessert. The service was painfully slow (the place was pretty empty) and the meals were average. We spent quite a bit of money on this dinner and would not go back or recommend. Might try a different location, Rt9 is so busy they prob get so many customers that they don't really care about quality.

Recently we hosted a large party and the food from a pre-selected menu was delicious, and the service was excellent. From dealing with Tim, the Senior Sales Manager, to the wait staff, all were fabulous and very professional. Our guests enjoyed the meal so much, that several returned on Sunday night, and said that the steak was the best they had ever eaten. We particularly like how wonderfully the handle our diverse food needs (vegetarian, gluten free, peanut and tree nut allergies.)

Celebrated a friend's birthday at the bar, Liz was very accommodating & reserved a table for us. Server was Matthew, very attentive and brought over champagne to toast the birthday girl. A great overall experience!

The food is decent, probably 3 stars. It's over priced though. The decor is nice, but I feel like I'm getting swindled by a nice appearance. Price for food quality is a 2, food is a 3. Since I can't give it 2.5 stars I'll round it down, because I feel that the times I've given it a chance, I've over-paid.

Came here last weekend. First thing you notice is the smell; it's a bit like they use the same dirty cloths to wash the tables down every day. Food; carpaccio was disappointing. The green salad was gritty. I had the breaded chicken escalope which was dry but edible. Sangria was good though. It was a good enough experience for me not to refuse point blank to return in an hour of need, but like most if these places, they could do a lot better.

This location has gone downhill. It too bad because this location used to be really good. Even the focaccia tasted col and stale. I got chicken picatta, and the risotto was over cooked and soupy. My wife's salmon was over cooked as we'll, there was also a piece of black curly hair in it as well. Our waiter seemed to be fairly I attentive as well. Even the pepper mill was broken. Don't think I'll be stopping here again anytime soon.

I am super picky when it comes to Italian restaurants, having once owned one in Chicago with partners from Italy. What a wonderful experience this was! The room is beautiful and well appointed with dark wood and subtle finishes but the real beauty is on the plate. I am absolutely in love with the Gallo al Forno (although I have no idea why its Gallo and not Pollo) and the paper thin chicken cutlet The food is all prepped to order and they are very accommodating about dietary restrictions and modifications I wish I could have tried their house made pastas because they looked and smelled amazing, but I am at war with carbs right now. The Caprese passed the test, just tomato, mozzarella and basil. I am seriously insane about this because so many places add red onions, olives or drench this simple, delicious salad in sugary balsamic. Their's is perfect! I also tried the special salad which was chopped lettuce mixed with walnuts, raisins and blue cheese in a super light vinagrette dressing that didn't overpower the other ingredients. My favorite part was their wine-by-the-glass offerings. Tons of beautiful reds from some smaller producers I don't really see that often and the white list blew me away. Vernaccia? Si! Orvieto? Si? Unoaked Chard? Si. I was in beautiful, crisp white wine heaven! Gorgeous and spacious bar area with full menu service. If I lived in Framingham, this would be my afterwork pit stop for a bite and a glass of wine Service was good and effecient and the atmosphere was gorgeous. We did have a hair in our foccacia that smelled divine. Fortunately, it didn't ruin the meal because of my no carb (except from wine) stance. This is one of the better Italian restaurants I've been to (and yes, I've done them all in the North End) and would have never suspected it given its location near a shopping center and a slew of strip malls.

Clearly they have gone down hill since being sold. I used to eat at V Burlington one weekly for years and know the drill better than my waiter who was clueless. Hispanic isn't Italian. He forgot the following, even after being asked: water, bread, cookies that went with dessert. I ordered fettucine with my bolognese and got linguine. When asked if the mushroom tortellini was in a tomato sauce, he said "no", it was. The manager came by and apologized, told us about the restaurant being sold & signed me up for frequent diner card...not going to happen. We discussed my waiter's shortcomings, he needs training & their quality control has slipped.

Food is decent but be prepared to wait for three hours. Not sure if the issue was the waiting staff contributing to the long wait, but it took over 40 minutes just to get out appetizer.... I won't even begin on our actual entrees. I will say that everyone was very pleased with the food as it finally arrived but maybe that's only because we were starving when it arrived.

Consistently great. Servers, meals, wine flights, chocolate cake. Portions are great, everything is fresh, and they can modify an order with ease. I've been here lots and have never been disappointed. Thanks Paparazzi!

Went here for the first time last night and have mixed feelings. We arrived at around 7:45 on a Saturday night and were told it would be "just a couple minutes". Our table was given away at least 4 times to people with reservations. It was frustrating, but hey they had reservations, we didn't. We were finally sat and greeted by our very pleasant, yet someone newbie waitress. Said we had never been there before and she gave the whole "scratch kitchen" spiel--everything is made to order so you can make whatever adjustment you want to your meal. Nice touch! She also offered up some of her faves as suggestions. We decided to start off with the bruschetta which was an amazing decision. My boyfriend also ordered one of their signature cocktails which our waitress admitted "she had never heard of". Nice big piece of fresh focaccia overloaded with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and balsamic. Delish. By the time we were half way through our app, we decided to ask where my boyfriend's drink was. It eventually showed up and was actually worth the wait! We then had to wait a pretty long time until our waitress came back around to place our dinner order. Chicken picatta for the bf and their version of chicken marsala for myself. Came out in an appropriate amount of time--good sized portions! Everything was absolutely delicious, but perhaps a bit under seasoned. A little table salt fixed that. We decided to take a peak at the dessert menu--none of the desserts tempted us, however the dessert beverages sure did! I got their chocolate-hazelnut coffee (frangelico and godiva chocolate liqueur!) and was floored. Perfect ending to the meal. 100% willing to give the service another go sometime because although it took about 2 hours and 15 minutes from start to finish, the food and drink made up for the waiting around. That, and even though our waitress was a bit MIA at times, she was extremely pleasant!

We came here after dinner at Natick Mall.....just for desserts and it was good, we ordered a bunch of desserts to split amongst us 5...... The service was good and I loved those breadsticks that go to every table, regardless.... Must come here and do dinner next time...

This review is specifically for the private dining aspect of this location. We had our company Christmas Party there last night and I am as pleased as can be with how it all turned out. I had the please of working with Tim Devaney who was more than helpful, patient and accommodating as I booked this fairly last minute (as far as holiday parties go). The staff was tremendously attentive to our guests, even as we stayed long after our scheduled time. The evening flowed seamlessly and I can't wait until next year- I'll do a better job of planning and no last minute scurrying on my part! Highly recommended. Food was great, didn't have to wait for a drink (but not pushy!) and again, Tim was a pleasure.

Papa Razzi is directly across the street (at the traffic light) from Jordan's Furniture. After visiting Jordan's I decided to get a late lunch and Yelp showed this place with some positive reviews. Here is the low down: Facility - Clean, open, comfortable; a huge dining area with a full service bar off to the side. Bathroom was very clean, tables and booth seating - booth was large and comfortable. Service - Hostess seating and table service was excellent. Server was very friendly, knowledgeable about menu, and was attentive without being bothersome. Team approach from servers was excellent; every time a plate or glass was empty it was removed by whoever saw it first. Drinks never went dry, they didn't even ask they just brought full one before you could go dry. (STARS) Food - Our lunches were very tasty, everything came out in a timely fashion and was hot and as ordered. We didn't have anything to rave about but what we had was good. Price - Expect to spend $7 to $10 on appetizers and about $15 to $20 on entrees. Not cheap but not overpriced. Overall excellent experience, I will definitely go back. There was nothing extraordinary that would make these guys five stars or land them on a "best of" list but this is a solid 3 to 4 Star dining experience.

What a transition this building has gone through! It was formerly a Bennigan's, and the decor and atmosphere have been upgraded completely! Now I originally went here thinking it would be just another "food chain" experience and quickly my girlfriend and I realized that it was anything but! First of all, the open design is elegant, contemporary, and trendy all in one. The lighting was very peaceful, and the kitchen was visible through a glass wall that allows all of the activity to be seen. Everything was clean, the silverware the dinnerware, the tables, the floors, and the bathrooms! We were greeted from a very friendly hostess who had us seated in short time. The waiter was on his game, he had our drinks back to us quickly. Drinks were good My girlfriend ordered the chicken parmigiana and I had the lasagna, they both were delivered in a short matter of time, and we were both telling each other how delicious our food was. Glad to say that the helpings were not gigantic, they were appropriately sized where it was satisfying yet left room for desert as an option! So we both tried the desert and my "TORTA DI FORMAGGIO" cheesecake was top quality! Tall and dense with flavor and creamy texture. The GF went with the "TORTA DI CIOCCOLATA" and it was a chocolate cake so moist and exploding with amazing chocolate flavor, very rich! The coffee which we had to wash our deserts down with had a terrific aroma was their gourmet roast and it was somewhere between the flavor of Starbucks and D&D, so it was very, very good. Not once did we feel like we were being pressured to leave. It was nice to be able to actually enjoy the atmosphere while winding down with good conversation. Definitely recommend this place! I have shared my experience with some good friends and they went and were very pleased with the whole experience as well.

I would like to have given a good review, but I've been waiting for service at a table in the bar area for 15 minutes and haven't even been acknowledged. They are not even that busy, several tables are still dirty from patron that have left. There are too many other restaurants nearby to bother ever coming here again.

This review is intended for seafood enthusiasts like myself. My landlubber family loves this place, but I can't help but be disappointed by the menu whenever I go. Excluding specials, there are just 3 choices for seafood entrees on the menu. Breaded shrimp, a basic salmon, and lobster ravioli's. A lackluster selection to say the least. They have a wonderful sounding lobster over linguini special available on only on Fridays which I was excited about, but unfortunately they were out when I tried to order it. The two stars I'm giving it mean exactly what yelp describes two stars as..."Meh. I've experienced better." If seafood is what your looking for, there are better places to be found. Oh, the bread and flavored oil they bring you is delicious. Who needs dinner, I'll fill up on bread.

Went for a "it's been a tough week" snack and cocktail tonight. The hostess opened the door for me, great start. The bartender, however, was miserable. Ordered a Lemon Drop Martini. The cocktail menu calls for Gray Goose for this drink, she started using Kettle One which neither my friend or I like, we love the Gray Goose, which was plainly on the cocktail menu. We pointed this out and the excuse was "it must be a new drink menu." Hello, you are the bartender, shouldn't you know the menu? I will say yummy drink, can't deny that. Cleaned up the crumbs off the bar myself, ewww, but just crumbs. I made a show of doing it in front of Ms. Happy, I said with a smile and a laugh to make light of the yuck factor "there are crumbs all over the bar I am starving maybe I will eat them" as a joke. You would think she bothered to try to clean them or even apologize? Nope. Ordered a pizza, after 1/2 hour it hadn't arrived. Happiness never even bothered to come back to check on us or see where our food was. Thank goodness. a new bartender had come on so I asked him about my food and he ran right out back to check. He told me they had burned it by accident and offered me some bread to tide me over. He was nice, friendly, put a smile on and apologized. Pizza was awesome once it came, and the new bartender was very attentive and kept asking how everything was. And made a great drink. Of course when tip time came Ms. Happiness smiled a bit, but if it wasn't for the second bartender I probably would have left a pitiful tip, which I NEVER do. Paparazzi, you have great food and for the most part a friendly accommodating staff, but get rid of Ms. Surly. She is a detriment to your business of customer service.

Really good chain - The Nordstrom's to Olive Garden's Target. Carpaccio - good quality cheese and beef. -Zuppa small enough to not fill you up, big enough to satisfy. Chicken piccata w/ lemony risotto goodness = spot on and perfect spaghetti w/ pancetta. Good Staff and décor. I will be back

Somewhat inconsistent. I have had good and bad meals. For instance, I find their luncheon paninis to be less than appetizing, but their chicken parmesan to be quite good. The pasta fagioli is pretty bad, but gorgonzola salad very good. Service is hit or miss as well.

Wanted to have a quick bite with my mom and I've always had good experiences at Papa Razzi so we decided to have a quiet Sat night dinner there. We were greeted by a hostess who seemed flustered although I must say pleasant. She oddly looked like June Lockheart of Lost in Space and Lassie fame although I digress. Later we saw her go from seating guests to washing the front windows vigorously. I love a multi tasker... you go June!!! So we sat at booth. In fact who chooses a table over a booth if a booth is available. the option is 1) a booth where you can blend in with the restaurant in a comfortable cushioned seat or 2) sit on a hard chair and have the swarms gawk at you whilst eating. Well some of us are voyeurs I suppose but I will always choose option#1. So the waiter came over and was very professional. I think he may have been all of 15 years old- perhaps a bit older. He never mentioned the specials- me thinks he needs a bit fine tuning. So we ordered our drinks and he brought over the searing piece of focacia which I think had just been delivered from the firey pits of hell. To say it was HOT is an understatement. The top was a hard almost brick like crust with just a meer hint of soft bread underneath. We ordered dinner and waited....waited and waited some more... we were not in a rush otherwise I get a bit impatient. What was interesting was there were maybe 4 or 5 tables near us and no one was eating. There was no food being served although the kitchen was hopping. I was fearful the restaurant would become something akin to the Donner party watching all the hungry patrons who were waiting and...... waiting. So our food arrived and well moms steak which were had requested by just a hint of pink was literally mooing on the plate. COME on at least kill the steak before you serve it. If I was a vampire or was anemic my lips would be watering. With hesitation we requested the steak be cooked- I say hesitation because who returns food without the thought of the cook with fists in air in the kitchen taking their sweet revenge on your poor defenseless entree. I had the salmon which was great as well as the asparagus and potatoes. My mom finally got her steak and it came out fantastic and I dare say no revenge was taken agaist the meat from what I could tell having been returned to the kitchen. The price of dinner was average in comparison w/ other restaurants in the area. the service was ungodly slow. The dining room was almost empty and there were herds of waiters in white just moving about. They moved in clusters and avoided eye contact. Our waiter was certainly not as attentive as I'd expect with an almost empty restaurant. I'd definitely return because the food was quite good and I've been here before and have typically had above average experiences.

What can I say about Papa Razzi? NOTHING NEGATIVE! The Ladies who were Hosting greeted us when we entered, held the door for us to enter. Our waiter, Krista was EXCELLENT! Thank you so much Krista, you made our first visit to Papa Razzi more memorable. And how fast were the entrees?? The timing was excellent, appreciate looking out for those of us who have allergies (shellfish). Thoroughly enjoyed the entrees, and the desserts. Will definitely be back

We went last night(Sat) and there were a few minor problems. 1) one of our party members ordered a Pepsi and it was flat When she asked for a new one the waiter said, "the machine is broken" 2) The food that she ordered was last in coming out, because it was wrong. 3)The waiter never offered dessert All & all the food was good!

I've been to this location for dinner on a weekend night, lunch on a weekday, and brunch on a weekend morning now. All three times, the service has been reasonably fast, and the waitstaff have been courteous and pleasant. The decor of the restaurant just makes this seem like a nice place to eat. I've tried the gnocchi di sorrento (my personal favorite), the cavatappi affumicati (which I really liked except for the smoked mozzarella, which would have been better had it just been melted, in my opinion), and the eggs benedict (which was good, but not out-of-this-world). Also, the focaccia that they bring out before the meal is delicious- I just don't like the spicy olive oil that they have on the table to dip it in. The quality is definitely consistent, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. While I would prefer to go to a local place over a chain, I'm always pleasantly surprised by how good the food is and how interesting their options are.

First visit started out ok but down hill from there.Pizza came out ok but then a long wait for dinner when it arrived half hour later my chix dish was cold my wives was steaming hot.Told waitress about this she said had this complaint from others. She said she told the manager and she was going to give me free dessert. So we ordered coffee with dessert, coffee came waitress said it looked weak let her know and she would get a fresh pot it was terrible so she brought another which was little better. Then we asked for sugar for the coffee she said they were out of it ,their order was messed up she would try to find some. she got some after asking again.why not let us know about the sugar when we ordered the coffee since she asked if we wanted cream and sugar .When she brought the check the manager finally came over and said something about the meal and how they were giving me a free dessert and I told her about the cold food and no sugar she said the same thing and kind of walked off not really to interested. I should have walked out after the pizza as my wife suggested .Considering it was our first visit as the waitress knew it was our last to any of these pappa razzi as i have told others . If it wasn't having a groupon i would have definitely left.

I had dinner here with my sibs for my bday. I figured, why not go to this chic lookin place. I'll say 2 stars isn't a terrible thing, it's exactly what the rating says - I've experienced better. The bruschetta was good, it was tomato and sauce smothered on a piece of bread - don't expect your normal bruschetta where you get slices of bread and some tomato in a bowl. The calimari was good. I had the gallo al forno - slow roasted lemon-garlic chicken finished crispy under an open flame with seared greens and potatoes. The chicken was flavorful and the sides with it were decent. I had the brownie sundae dessert, which was pretty decadent. The brownie was good, but more thick. Overall, it was a satisfying experience. But I couldn't just get the chain restaurant feel away from the place. My sibs had a very basic dinner that looked like it was microwaved and thrown into a bowl. The taste may have been better, but for 3 people and a $100+ check (3 beers, 2 apps, 3 entrees, 2 desserts)(not overly expensive at all), I expected more. This place is like a Champps, an Olive Garden, an upscale Fridays - it provides food that tastes fine. It's just that I have had better. Becky was a very nice waitress though. Ask for her!

Disappointing experience. The kitchen ruined three dishes with too much pepper and my lips and my sons lips were literally stinging half way through our meals. Also, the first thing that I noticed when we walked in was that all the way to our table, my shoes were sticking to the floor. We were a party of seven and the service from our waiter was excellent, although the runners were very confused about who got what dishes. Our waiter was very accommodating and said that it would be no trouble to swap pomodoro sauce for arrabiata since we don't like spicy sauce. I have been going to the Papa Razzi in Wellesley for fifteen years, and I have never tasted pomodoro as spicy as what we got last night. My husband got a special that was also loaded with pepper. We went to celebrate an special occasion, as we have in the past, but I will not be returning anytime soon.

Place looked great, wait staff & hostess were terrific, but the food was a little bland. Pasta arrabiata, pasta with chicken, and the seafood risotto. Would have complained, but what do you say? Bland food, chef did not taste his dish. The focaccia was hot and delicious. The food at Papa Razzi in Chestnut Hill was soooo much better!

This place is one of my cousin's favorites, because she really likes their limoncello. Put a glass of that in front of her with their lemon sorbetto and she's in her happy place. We love the appetizers here. The calamari is crisp and mixed with hot peppers--really good. The eggplant wrapped with ricotta and prosciutto was a big hit with my group. Best of all (I love a fresh salad) the salads are a large mountain of crisp fresh lettuce and enough dressing for flavor without being drowned, and are very reasonable in price for the size. The main courses have been good but not great. I've had the chicken piccata and my cousin loves their steak. The big disappointment has been the risotto. It is more like rice than risotto, and every time I've tried it has been flavorful but not tender and creamy. A big let down as it has the potential. The deserts are good, although the chocolate cake does not meet my standards (not enough chocolate flavor or richness for me), I find I am safe with their Tiramisu which is delicious. The service here has been exceptional and always goes above and beyond to give us a great dining experience.

To call my dinner tonight a disaster is a real disservice to the word disaster. The service, the food, and the attention to detail and quality that I've come to expect from Papa Razzi is gone. I will never return. My waitress was so embarrassed by both her service and the time it took to actually serve our food, that she stopped making eye contact, stopped coming to our table and did nothing but apologize. Families came and went before she asked to refill our drinks. She served one soda to my kids in seventy-five minutes and my wife and I finished a bottle of wine before dinner even arrived. Ahh, when our food finally arrived, we had boxed pasta, dry chicken, and Margarita pizza that entailed parsley on a cold cheese pizza. The kitchen and the staff were so over-whelmed, it was obvious just by watching them and this was in a half full restaurant. And to think, all this entertainment for a $160! Ridiculous.

Well, its Mother's Day, and like many other families celebrating the matriarch of the family, I took my mom out for a celebratory dinner. I made a reservation, and the only table I could snag was at 8pm. I took it, knowing my mother would enjoy the night. We got here on time, and half the place was empty, Hmm... We were seated, and no one came over. I finally got up to remind them we were there. No problem, they sent over a waitress, who I'm sure was very intimidated to be thrown onto our table last minute. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, the whole nine yards. Dinner comes, and dear Moms daily 'special' was all incorrect, but tasty, so she ate it. My brothers meal was also incorrect; seemingly missing the sausage and magically adding pancetta, which was not on the menu. We told the waitress, who brought over the manager, and she was next to useless, basically telling us that since my loving mother ATE her meal instead of RETURNING it, we were stuck with the disappointment. Well- in the end the meal was paid in full and another Mother's Day went down in the books... Next time, we'll cook at home.

This restaurant is a little pricey but you do get what you pay for. The service has always been excellent. Pasta and pizza are made fresh. Cocktails are outstanding, but $9 a pop. The wine list is comprehensive. I wouldn't fill up on the foccacia they serve when you sit down. It's delicious but takes up precious stomach room. Don't fret about the chili oil. It's not hot so you can sprinkle it on without worry. The only issue I have is that the dish names are all in Italian. Some of them can be tounge twisters. The Lobster Ravioli has a name that is very difficult to pronounce. The Wait Staff understands so don't be afraid to point or mangle the names.

I went here with a Meet-up group. There was 20 of us and they were very accommodating. We had our own section with glass doors that slid in place. This allowed us to enjoy our time together without bothering the other dinners. As you can imagine 20 people all together at once could be quite loud. The waiter and maître'd were wonderful. Making sure our every need was attended to. The food presentation was beautiful. I had the Chicken Paillard - Boneless breast of chicken pounded thin and pan-seared with fresh herbs and lemon, served with balsamic marinated plum tomatoes. It was amazing. The flavors were blended perfectly. I loved it.

This restaurant has high ceilings and bright ambiance. You'd definitely not feel claustrophobic in there. The bar counter is white marble. Their water is from the bottle just like Abe & Louie's. Bread stick is their bar snack. It's definitely not a hefty portion; but good quality food. It's enough to fill me up and more; but definitely not for my date that's a foot taller than I! He usually helps me finish my plate so nothing goes to waste!

I have lived in Framingham over a decade and have not been to Papa Razzi since Bennigan's was in this location. I decided to try it out for my birthday with some friends and family. When I walked in I was pleased by the look of the restaurant, very nice and upscale. It's very open when you walk in and I like the glass feature where the chefs are located. We had reservations and they were very accommodating to our group. Our waiter Christian was very nice, a little on the quiet side but very professional and accommodating. LOVE the bread they bring out, but felt a little stingy that they handed everyone one and there wasn't a basket of bread in case you wanted more. Drinks were good but a few people didn't like their mix drinks and we had to send them back and they were quickly corrected. We all ordered some appetizers which I was surprised the portions were a bit small. Needless to say with 10 people at the table, none of it went to waste. We had the calamari, fried mozzarella and some shrimp dish. All of it was delicious. We all ordered our food and the food was delivered at a very good time after we were all done with our appetizers. I think the timing of when they bring out your food is important and they nailed that through the entirety of our visit. Dinner food was very good, I personally had the Lobster Ravioli. One thing I heard around the table from at least 5 different people was the lack of sauce that each plate did not have, including mine. By the last couple of Ravioli's it was pretty dry. The salmon had nothing on it really, again a nice terriyaki seasoning sauce even on the side would have been good with that. I'm undecided if the portion of food was perfect or not enough, you be the judge. So in conclusion they brought out a nice chocolate cake and sang Happy Birthday and they even knew how to pronounce my unusual name in the song which impressed me lol. Overall, a little on the pricey side but I think it is definitely a place to try. Service was excellent!

Went back for my birthday on Easter Sunday... made a reso again using Open Table, but there really was no need to. It was beyond empty for dinner service, which was fine with us. I requested Hollis as a server as he was so great the first time we dined... unfortunately he wasn't on, the server we did have was fine although I forget his name. Food was deslish as always!

Wow, saturday special veal shank with rissotto was delicious. Overall, this is a solid spot for a nice dinner. There were 6 of us in total and everyone had a positive experience. They make a pretty good risotto with sun-dried tomatoes and spinach, and their desserts are tasty (and the brownie sundae is absurdly large, seriously, you need 3-4 people to eat this thing). The egg-less custard was surprisingly good, and the coffee is nice and strong. The service was good, and to be honest this should be a 4.5 star rating, but it is just a tad pricey for italian food (which has a relatively low ingredient cost relative to some other types of cuisine), and that is the reason I am leaving it at 4 stars. But, to be honest, I have no reservations recommending this restaurant. Be aware that on Saturday nights it is busy, so its best to have a reservation.

Great for a date or girls night out. The drink menu almost surpasses the food but the venue is trendy and clean. The staff I feel is a bit overworked but I've never been on a tight time constraint here and always there during happy hour/dinner so it is to be expected. I had two meals which I was very pleased with and several glasses of the red sangria which I suggest to all. Wine list is surprisingly large - options for somebody on a budget as well as a enthusiast. Being new to town I was surprised to find this type of setting in Framingham. Definitely beats one of the many chain restaurants along route 9!

Good tasty Italian food. Had the shrimp and spinach appetizer and the prosciutto with mozzarella. The Risotto special with squash was very good. Excellent service. Had a Gluten-free person with us, and they took extra care of him.

First off it''s important to note that my review is all about personal preference. The restaurant is clean, the staff is helpful/friendly, and the menu is extensive. Over the years I've had some good experiences at Papa Razzi (not this one as it is still somewhat new) but for me the food is always just meh (which is why I went with two stars instead of three - it was the perfect emotion). I never leave feeling terribly unhappy I went but I also never really want to go to Papa Razzi either. Basically, if you have been to a Papa Razzi and like it then you'll enjoy this restaurant but if you've never been to a Papa Razzi it is in short - mass produced Italian food. I find it lacking the heart that makes the small places in the North End so spectacular. There aren't too many lows here - its consistent but I've also never had a spectacular meal here. This particular Papa Razzi has plenty of parking which is a nice benefit. And its a zillion times better than the Olive Garden (review on that pending).

If you want robotic, rude and snarky service- ask for Lauren L. If you enjoy cold and flavorless $17 tenderloin eggs benedict- this is the place. Sub par experience and certainly not for foodies. This is coming from a food industry employee. Sad to say that it was super slow on Sunday brunch for a reason. Manager friendly but thats about as good as it got. Oh-- and when asking for hollandaise make sure it isnt mistaken for bolognese because the server probably wont know that hollandaise comes with eggs benedict--- not a beefy red sauce.

Had a date and we happened to stumble across this place driving around looking for somewhere to go! It was a bit pricey, but staff was amazing and the food was spot on! First date went phenomenal and staff was total perfection as far as drinks as well as attentiveness to every little detail regarding service. I had a steak and she got salmon! Both dishes were great and overall this is without a doubt a perfect place to take a special someone granted you don't mind a $100 tab at the end.

So... after leaving Papa Razzi full and very satisfied, I drifted off to sleep thinking of the nice 4 star review I would leave this morning... about how they are always steady and dependable, how attentive the staff always is, especially last night, how nice the new location was.. maybe not location-wise, but the interior feeling.. I was going to mention how much I loved my Mozzarella Fritta and my Agnolotti All Aragosta (lobster ravioli... delightful, fabulous sauce, perfect serving size..).... yes, this was my plan.. until I woke up at 1am and was violently ill. I guess this is what happens when you try to bring class to Framingham.

I wouldn't compare it to the north end but it's miles head of places like Olive Garden and Bertuccis. Pretty good food and a nice rotating cocktail menu. I've only had great servers when there. Can be a little loud due to the open floor plan.

I've been curious about Papa Razzi from driving by the Wellesley restaurant. Now that it's opened on Rt 9 I can go all the time :) This restaurant is great because it doesn't feel like a chain, it's a little more elegant than the other options nearby but it's still super convenient as a place to meet up with friends. It's not too much more expensive than our other hang out restaurants either. I am still a fan of the Olive Garden down the street, but now that my friends and I are grown up and a little more sophisticated, it's fun to go somewhere nicer! We split a delicious fried eggplant appetizer with melted cheese, tomatoes and vinagrette. It was nice and fancy, SO delicious, and probably the highlight of our meal at Papa Razzi. They also give you some yummy herb bread. I ordered some chicken pasta which was good too. On the way home my friend and I both boxed our leftovers, however I accidentally took hers home instead of mine. So the following day for lunch I had AMAZING 4 cheese pizza. Ok I am a sucker for anything with goat cheese on it. But seriously, it was so good I can't wait to go back and order that pizza! I very much recommend this place as a FANTASTIC modern Italian chain restaurant.

Yes Food Allergy Friendly! This is one of the few places I can eat with my food allergies. They are so considerate and make sure all of my choices are allergy free. They are always so ready to accommodate, and never seem inconvenienced by my special circumstances. I can always count on a great meal.

Good solid hearty Italian food- excellent service! Came here for a business dinner and enjoyed the food and service was friendly and excellent. Grilled salmon- excellent! Calamari- yum! Cesar Salad- tasty! The only thing that was just ok was tiramisu- it was more like a cake than traditional style.

Don't let the tacky name turn you off. I had not been to this place because it just sounded like somewhere I would not want to go, but my brother in law booked a table for New Year's Eve so I was forced to go. "Papa Razzi"? Really? Are they related to TMZ.com But the food was really good, so I am a fan. First, the bad: We were given bread sticks instead of bruschetta. They probably ran out but it didn't end up being a problem because we had more than enough to eat. Also, the lady who seated us noticed that one of the spoons had fallen onto the bench seat, so instead of getting a clean spoon to take it's place (I'm not a big fan of eating off a spoon that spent time on surfaces where people put their butts), she placed the dirty spoon back on the table. I politely picked it up off the table and gave it back to her... not cool. Service was little spotty, but the waitress was very personable and friendly. I think the bar was a little slow and staff were not doing a great job of cleaning tables inbetween courses. Now, the good: For starters, I had a the calamari. It was really good, with just the right proportion of peppers to calamari - some places like to overload the calamari with peppers but not here. My wife had the crab cakes - she said they were almost as good as Legal Seafood but probably not nearly as pricey. The other couple at our table had salads and said they were really good. For main course, I had the special - pappardelle pasta with ribeye steak. The pasta tasted fresh, was nicely cooked and was really good. The ribeye was also perfectly done but needed a touch of salt for my taste. My wife had some sort of pasta which she really liked. Everyone at our table liked this place and will be back. You can tell they pay attention to the quality of food and the preparation. I would recommend you try it.

My husband has celiac disease, so whether a place has a gluten free menu (or claims to understand gluten issues) is factor #1 in dining out. Fortunately, Framingham/Natick has a wide variety (and ever expanding) of choices for GF diners. We hadn't been to Paparazzi's in over a year and gave it a whirl tonight. We are thrilled we did! My husband let the hostess know he needed a gluten free menu, and the server was incredibly knowledgeable about the exact ingredients in the dishes we asked about. He ordered the special, salmon with gorgonzola mashed potatoes, and I ordered a beef dish. Both were perfectly cooked and outstanding. The manager came to our table and assured us that the kitchen staff is very careful with all allergies/food issues -- nice touch. The caprese was fresh (could have had a touch more fresh basil -- my only complaint!) and we even ordered dessert -- tiramisu for me, a roasted fruit and gelato dish for him. The service was really attentive but not pushy, and we will absolutely be going back. A definite recommend for people on gluten free diets!

Still your regular papa razzi. went for lunch., remembered how much I like the prosciutto mozzarella app. Yum. Bartender was good. clientele slightly upscale business pretentious. some "lunch" regulars at the bar that appeared quite full of themselves. generally I find every papa razzi just a little too full of themselves. They think the place is way more than it really is. If you can get beyond that, there are some gems within the menu that you don't have to spend 15 or 20 bucks to get.

Went Saturday, 8/22. My boyfriend and I went to Papa Razzi on a whim not knowing much about what we would find there. We were on our way to catch a show, so we wanted to be quick. When we walked inside, I felt immediately under-dressed until I looked around (I was in a tank and khakis) and noticed that many people were dressed down, too, despite the restaurant's great linen table cloths and high-end feel. PLUS, we were treated like big spenders the entire time. I felt like Papa Razzi was my biggest fan--almost celeb like. First, we had little hard bread sticks to start the meal which were good, but nothing to write home about. Then, a server suggested he brings us some focaccia. It was delicious and we totally felt like we'd received bonus bread. Second, we had agreed that because it was a little pricey and we weren't expecting that, that we'd try to eat as cheaply as possible. We ordered a salad (Panzanella) plus one of their pizzas, the Polpetta. Delicious! So, we managed to eat under $20 combined by sipping on water. We were totally full from split salads and bonus bread. Plus, our waitress asked us where we were going and when we responded the movies she ran off to tell the manager. We got free movie tickets! Server was Jenna -- so nice, friendly, she seemed pumped to be at work. Great service, made us feel at home, solid food.

This review is almost entirely based on my experiences eating weekend brunch at Papa Razzi's, which I've done maybe 8 times since they opened. This is our favorite place to go to for a quiet brunch. They have a separate Brunch menu from their regular fare, and the former is a far better deal. There's no buffet, but that's fine. Go somewhere else if you want an all-the-cholesterol-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. We usually get there shortly after they open (at 11:30), so during our meal the place is relaxing, and the service outstanding. Which is saying something, because in my experience at other restaurants, you get the worst service if the place is either extremely busy, or empty. Someone greets you at the door and holds it open for you, and you get plenty of friendly attention (and conversation with the staff if you want) during the meal. The brunch menu offers some unusual items, most in the $10-$13 range. We've tried most of the offerings, all good, or very good. The Fruit Pizza and Frittata are frequent favorites. I've tried the French Toast, Crepes, Chicken Hash, Tuscan Eggs Benedict, and Grilled Petite Filet, and liked them all. That said, there were no "wow" dishes. The meal comes with thin breadsticks, and a "free" Mimosa or Bellini cocktail. Once, when I didn't want any alcohol, they substituted freshly squeezed OJ for the cocktail, which was a generous bargain in my opinion. During the meal they also come around with freshly-baked focaccia or blueberry bread. It's a semi-open kitchen, which is always comforting. We've also had decent take-out dinner from here - good but unexceptional. So if you want a bit of a different weekend brunch experience that won't leave you feeling weighed down, try Papa Razzi. You can have a fine meal, including a drink, in a pleasant atmosphere, at about $15 a person including tax and tip.

Love the service here, food was great, went in for Mother's day and they told us that we had to wait for 45 minutes but we were very surprised to get a table after 10 minutes, desserts are amazing and they have a great wine list, you know i like my vino, give it a try...

Very nice place. The bar area is surprisingly large and it seems like a good place to hang out if you into the dating scene. I enjoyed a fresh mixed greens salad with sweet cranberries and thin croutons. tasty....I have to try that again on my next visit.

I went to this location on a Saturday evening with my parents, sister, and grandmother. We made reservations for 5:30 because this was the only available time. My grandmother is 87 years old, we had a reservation...they sat us in the bar area on barstools without backs. We requested a different table and nothing was available. We all had to sit on barstools with our jackets on our laps and our purses on the table. If I am going to pay $27 for an entree I do not want to be sitting on a barstools with my jacket on my lap. The food and portions are not worth the prices. They pass out one piece of bread per person instead of a basket for the table. I most likely will not be back.

This Framingham restaurant prides itself in being true Italian fare, but it misses the mark. The salads are over-dressed and include tomatoes. Tomatoes should be left on their own plate with basil and mozzarella. The Fettucini Tuscano came with big chunks of fatty pancetta instead of Proscuitto, as expected. The service is good but the price is too high. I can cook these meals at home.

I went to Papa Razzi for the first time last week...it's a decent place but there were some things about it that rubbed me the wrong way. First, it's overpriced. An 8oz gin and tonic = $8.75. Yeah, I asked for Bombay Sapphire but I didn't know I was in Boston. At least it wasn't weak. The pasta dishes were all $15 or more, and the main courses were into the 20s. A bit much for what you actually get. The "one piece of focaccia bread" per person was obnoxious. Just give us baskets...am I not allowed to have more than one piece of bread? I have to mention the character that was our server, who honestly was kind of a pompous clown. Things started off well enough, he met each person promptly as they arrived to take drink orders. His game show announcer voice was a little off-putting...I don't know if he was being fake or if that's his real voice, but it threw me for a loop. Unfortunately, he was very full of himself as well. When my aunt asked him what the risotto of the day was, he didn't want to tell her until the whole party had arrived. I understand you don't want to rattle off the day's specials 10 times but she just wanted to know about the risotto. When he addressed the party as a whole to talk about the restaurant, he again came off as very smug. The service itself was fine, but he really rubbed everyone the wrong way. Lastly, I found it really odd that he did not add the 18% gratuity on a party of 12. I worked for years as a server and there's no way in hell I'd ever do that. I got the strong feeling that he felt he was worthy of more so he intentionally didn't include the 18%. The saving grace: my food was AMAZING. Rigatoni with a crushed tomato sauce, mushrooms, sausage, cheese, and onions. Cooked al dente (just how I like it) and was truly delicious. $15 for a decent sized pasta dish is a bit much, but if it's truly all homemade like they say, then maybe it's worth the money. Everyone seemed very happy with what they ordered. The food saved the experience for us. While I enjoyed my meal and would probably go here again, Papa Razzi thinks a little too highly of itself. Maybe drop the prices a few bucks (and some of the attitude as well) and you'd have a happy customer.

Had a multi-day business trip to Central Massachusetts and stopped by Papa Razzi for a weekend brunch. Very nice atmosphere and decor. There was a birthday party with some pretty loud and trashy people and the host seated most of the diners in booths across from the floor-to-ceiling windows of the private function room (which was not so private). Instead of talking business, my colleagues and I ended up spending the brunch people-watching -- observing such classy moves as using the back of a sleeve as a napkin, a dirty diaper falling off a baby and onto the birthday cake (absolutely true!), and the host picking his butt (FTW) through his slacks as he was engaged in deep conversations with his guests. Why the restaurant manager did not draw the curtains or seat the diners other places in otherwise empty restaurant is beyond me. The food was really tasty and the drinks were strong which made the whole visit more entertaining. When I go back, I will make sure to ask for a table away from the function room if there is an event going on.

My daughter recently moved to Framingham and we went to Papa Razzi on Saturday to celebrate her new apartment. It was disappointing. The salads were good but overdressed, just swimming in salad dressing. Beef Carpaccio was excellent. I ordered the cavitappi with eggplant & tomatoes - I had to ask for more eggplant because the amount in the dish was about 2 tablespoons, diced finely like a green pepper would be. Since this was a vegetarian dish I had expected it to have a decent amount of vegetables in it, but the main ingredient, after pasta, was oil. Very little cheese, few tomatoes, overall very very BLAND. My husband ordered the "14 oz" veal chop ($31). That's a big veal chop, but my husband figured he could take some home. The veal chop was delicious, but it was VERY SMALL, maybe 8 ounces, but that is probably overstated. It had a very long bone, at least 7 inches long. Maybe that's where their weight came from. I think that's misleading to say the least. A very bad deal for $31. My daughters liked the bolognese pasta. Drinks were very good, our server Wally was attentive and responsive. If we go back we'll skip the high priced items and just get pizza. This restaurant is overpriced for the money to say the least. Go to Carrabbas or Olive Garden.

We headed to Papa a couple of months ago with some friends before heading to the movies... The food was amazing and the service is always top notch.. We always get the salad with the chunks of bread in it (can't remember the name). After our meal, the manager came over to check on how our meal was. When he learned that we were headed to the movies, he gave us two free tickets.. We were shocked... It is now our pre-movie place to go!

Good food as usual, but here's my problem from tonight's experience. I saw a waiter knock down a customer's jacket from the back of her chair by accident, he knew he did it and looked back but his hands were full and couldn't pick it up. However, when he returned he didn't make an attempt to pick it up and acted as if the jacket was not on the ground. If the staff is not supposed to touch a customer's belongings, then even a whisper was not given to let her know that the jacket was on the ground. What's even worse is that the waiters and waitresses that were also working the area just stepped over the jacket and didn't even bother to let the customer know or attempt to pick it up. This was really getting to me because I would expect some type of chivalry or thoughtfulness from this establishment. Also, in my attempt to catch the manager's attention, twice he walked past our table and avoided eye contact. I seriously hope someone reads this and let your staff know that people do notice these little things and a little effort goes a long way...

i like the papa razzi in boston, so i was happy to see it out here in the 'burbs. and apparently it's the hot spot in framingham cus the restaurant is packed on weekend nights and there's a wait with or without reservation. the waitstaff is extremely friendly and accommodating- they encourage special requests or substitutions. but once we had ordered, the wait was just painful. it was like a bad night in "hell's kitchen" where no one gets served...the manager was walking around comping desserts and apps like his life depended on it. as a side note: some of the diners were so pretentious and self deserving (as in i'm sorry but i didn't know i was supposed to dress up to go to a chain restaurant located across from wal-mart!) but at the risk of sounding like i expect free food- it just leaves a bad impression when some patrons are comped and apologized to, and others are not when we're all hungry and suffering the same wait. our entrees were tasty although my fish came out a bit overdone. i have no doubt they would have redone it...but i was too hungry to complain. the polenta which my waitress recommended was so rich and creamy- it was the best part of my meal. overall the experience was okay...the location is still fairly new so i think quality and efficiency can only improve. for now, i'd only try them again for lunch.

As an Italian, I know quality Italian food. More often than not, the chain restaurant Italian places do not suffice..but I was truly impressed by this meal. We got a quality appetizer of mozzarella and proscuitto, and the waiter told us that everything was made to order so we could customize our entrees if we wanted. I got Capelli D'Angelo and added grilled chicken to it and it was unbelievably fresh. Dessert was a brownie sundae..a MASSIVE brownie sundae. But the chocolate sauce was above average and so were the brownies and gelato. I will definitely go back!

There are several Papa Razzi locations around town and each is predictably dependable., and dependably good. We like the booths in Concord and Wellesley, but we prefer sitting at the bar in Framingham (or at a table on a window/exterior wall. The good looking but cavernous space is full of hard surfaces and the noise level in the middle of the action is awful) where the service is friendly, efficient and accommodating (we regularly substitute the perfectly al dente pasta for the perfectly yummy potatoes - and spinach for whatever other vegetable is listed with a specific dish). The formula for food preparation is reliable from one location to another and the formula produces some pretty darn good food! We are of Italian-American descent and we're pretty particular about our pizza and our pasta, and here the pizza is thin and crisp - the crust never soggy, but even better and harder to find: the pasta is perfect (always al dente; never overcooked). The Pollo Al Forno is one of the most mouth-wateringly delicious chicken dishes you'll find anywhere, and the chicken scallopine is pounded thin - resulting in a platter-long serving size (that allows for lunch the next day!)- and nicely accented with butter, lemons and capers. Papa Razzi is one of the few restaurants to offer carpaccio (raw beef sliced paper thin, fanned on a dish, drizzled with oilve oil and Parmesan. Delicious !) - perfect for those of us cutting back on starchy carbs (tho it's hard to resist the long thin bradsticks found on every table and fresh focaccia brought fresh to every diner); ditto the grilled shrimp appetizer, served with braised spinach and lemon vinaigrette (Gamberi Allo Spiedo). Papa Razzi also serves brunch (where the French Toast is made with brioche) from a fun brunch menu where you'll find something for the tradtional (Frittata, Steak & Eggs, Benedict) ) as well as a few unique, interesting and tasty temptations (Fruit Pizza, Crepes). Lke an old friend, Papa Razzi's is reliable and always there...

We weren't greeted by any of the four workers at the desk until we'd stood in the doorway for a minute or so like idiots. There's no waiting area to speak of (even though on Friday night there was a whole open room), so we just stood around feeling in the way. The fire alarm went off, and no one addressed the patrons. The waitress was disinterested and unhelpful at first and nowhere to be found for most of the meal (we didn't get our bread until after the main course came). The menu was not broken up in a logical manner (e.g. chicken, fish, steak, pasta, etc.) making it very difficult top pick out an entree, also the sides were not listed, further hindering the decision-making process. The waitress knew, but she was, again, less than helpful. When the runner brought the food, one dish was completely wrong, but both meals were brought back to the kitchen, however, when the dish came back, the potatoes were hard, but oddly, the broccoli was fine. Some of the pasta on the corrected dish was well on the hard side of al dente. The food itself wasn't that impressive. The hard, angular surfaces of the interior of the building made the rooms very resonant and far louder than they needed to be. If there was music, we couldn't hear it. Also, there was an extremely loud group that no one asked to keep quiet; I would've asked my waitress, but she was absent. One of the hosts was the saving grace, with his warm demeanor and coupon for free dessert to make up for the fire alarm incident. ...but I never bothered to go back.

I haven't been to a PR in many years. Prior time was to the Concord location about 10 years ago. Had a pleasant experience in Framingham this weekend. Ordered the daily special Risotto - chicken, asparagus, and cranberries. It was very delicious. Service was excellent. I could live off the foccacia. A little pricey for the neighborhood, but we'll most likely be back.

Over-priced okay food. The best part is the bread. Everything is really glossy, good decor, nice place settings, "fancy" patrons. I wondered why people were dressed up? I must have missed something. They have a "scratch kitchen" so you can get your food cooked to order. It's just that the food is average.

Hand's down best, most reliable Italian style food you can get outside of the North End. This place has never disappointed me. The ingredients are fresh and taste like food! I have had better food here than I had in Italy. Some favorites: any salad, the foccacia bread, the fried eggplant appetizer, chicken, pasta...everything! Prices are absolutely fair for the quality of the food. So many mezza mezza Italian style restaurants around...don't waste your time. For good food, go to Papa Razzi!

Went to Papa Razzi in Framingham last night and hadn't been to a Papa Razzi in several years. As I was leaving, I made mental note to return much much sooner next time. We went around 4 p.m. and naturally the place was not that busy. Hostess and wait staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our waitress reminded us that at Pap Razzi the food is made from scratch so if there were any preferences or substitutions off the main menu feel free to ask. Can't remember the last time I ate at a restaurant where that was even an option, not to mention encouraged. I'll admit the prices are higher than Bertucci's, Uno's and Olive Garden; but for a "chain" restaurant, you'd never get the quality of service and especially level of food served at any of the others. Started with bread sticks and then foccacia bread with a little olive oil....could have eaten several servings of that an been satisfied for the night!! First, I ordered the Insalata Di Campo-- but traded out the Gorgonzola for mozzarella cheese. When I have a salad as appetizer my expectations aren't always that high....this insalata was so plentiful and delicious I was 2/3 full by the time the entree arrived. For entree I went with the Pollo Alla Parmigiana. Chicken breast was butterflied which is my preference for chicken parm....the breading was nice and fresh....you could tell it was freshly made, not some breaded chicken puck sitting around in a fridge for a few days. Linguine was wonderful and the sauce terrific. I had to take 1/2 of it home I was so stuffed. Wait staff was terrific and very attentive; but, of course this was at 4 p.m. on a Saturday, not at peak time. Truly enjoyed and will remember this as a special treat every few months.

About Papa Murphy

Papa Murphy is one of the top pizza chains in the United States. Papa Murphy was formed after the merger of two popular local pizzerias namely Papa Aldo's and Murphy's respectively. The trend of "take and bake" pizzerias gained popularity in the United States during the early 90s. The growing popularity these two take and bake pizzerias located in Hillsboro, Oregon and Petaluma, California respectively gave the idea of a possible merger to Terry Collins.

In 1995, Terry Collins consolidated the merger and founded Papa Murphy and expanded the pizza chain across 1300 outlets in the United States and Canada. Customers can relish Papa Murphy pizzas by simply walking into the nearby Papa Murphy outlet or simply order online or call-in to pick up the order later. Some Papa Murphy outlets also feature a drive-thru window where you can pick up your call-in order. Today, Papa Murphy is owned by MTY Food Group. Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
