Someone once said "In this world you gotta have a gimmick" Brooklyn water bagel has a gimmick with their Brooklyn water .Now I can't imagine tankers driving up from Brooklyn daily to bring fresh water to this place .But let's say they do ,so how much better could their bagel be than let's say Bagel's Best in Needham.I might say it might have a slight edge on them .So yesterday I went out here around 2pm .The place was pretty full with hardly a table vacant .I ordered a poppy seed bagel with just cream cheese open faced and not toasted .They give you a number on a stick to place on your table to identify your order .A few minutes my bagel arrived with so much cream cheese on it ,I couldn't believe it .much too much .It is a change when you buy a bagel with cream cheese you get so much bagel and very little cream cheese .Well not here so much cream cheese probably twice as much as I would put on it .Ok, to taste, a little crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside ,supposedly how it should be .yet something was lacking couldn't put my finger on it ,but it tasted like any other bagel place around here like Breugger's ,Bagel's Best .In my estimation the Brooklyn water did not do anything that Framingham water wouldn't do ,but that's me , and to address the slogan you gotta have a gimmick .That's what these people have . So lets look back I have had bagels for over 60 years ,the 2 best ever, a bagel I had on Long Island ,NY ,I look back fondly at that .However if you are in Montreal ,Fairmount bagels are the best around here in the USA & Canada ,you see young students from McGill University sitting on the stoop eating those delicious bagels .A lot of Americans stock up on bagels to bring home ,I buy 3 dozen because all my kids want them .So how different are they , they are much thinner ,when you bite into them you don't get a mouthful of dough .I admit if in the USA these bagel places made a slimmer and smaller bagel I might like them more ,Finagel's are so large .Which brings me to long gone Eagerman 's that had great bagels ,always hot on Sundays they were the best in Boston ,but are long gone . I bought a half dozen to take home and defrosted one and had it for breakfast ,I saw nothing different here than any other bagel place around Boston area. After a few days I toasted a bagel,I also warmed up one in the toaster oven .I now can honestly say these bagels are just ordinary ,no different than most other bagel shops .As I said the Brooklyn Water is a gimmick ,it could have been Framingham tap water it would taste the same .One big failing with most bagel places is ,they make their bagels too thick ,I hate so much dough in my mouth.

Okay. They are NOT New York bagels, but I give them a A for effort. I just don't think it is physically possible to get a bagel outside of New York City (and surrounding areas) that compares to a New York bagel. If that is what you're looking for, drive to the city, go to ess-a-bagel on 3rd ave and stock up. BUT, for a Massachusetts bagel, BWB are very good. Massachusetts has been severely lacking a good place to get a big, fat, tasty, crunchy-on-the-outside, soft and chewy-on-the-inside, perfectly cooked bagel. Forget brueggers, finagle, even Iggy's in Cambridge, they just do not cut it. Brooklyn Water Bagels is one of the better Massachusetts bagel that I've had. They offer all of the classic flavors like Sesame, Everything, Cinnamon Raison, Plain, Egg, Poppy, etc. and an assortment of cream cheese spreads. The coffee is actually delicious, too. I haven't tried any of the bagel sandwiches, but I'm sure they are delish. Go try it out, but if you've had the real thing, don't expect these to closely compare.

One of the better bagel places in Boston. My favorite is still Rosenfeld's in Newton, which I believe to be the closest to a NY bagel, but it doesn't have a place to sit inside. They also have the only bialies I've found since moving here! They weren't quite true bialies, but they were pretty good. I liked the scallion cream cheese, too. I find that a lot of bagel chains have iffy cream cheese, like the rubbery stuff at Brueggers. Prices were decent for a simple bagel with cream cheese or even a pizza bagel. The bagel and lox was a little pricier than competitors (almost $9!) but I'm sure I'll try it at some point. The employees were super nice, too. I'll be back.

Blech. Soft, gummy, undersalted bagels. Not worth a stop.

I went to Brooklyn Water Bagels with the previous reviewer who had bugs in his food. Brooklyn Water Bagels feels like a crappy McDonalds from the 90s, not like a modern Brueggers or Starbucks at all. The interior is not very clean and really dated even though it's a brand new joint in Framingham. We were hoping for a Brueggers-like place, and were hoping it may even be better. Not the case, skip the trip here and drive a mile away to Brueggers if you want good food, coffee and atmosphere. I ordered a corned beef bagel sandwich with cream cheese, onion and tomato. When I ordered the cashier looked at me funny and asked me multiple times what I wanted, as if this was some strange thing to ask on a bagel sandwich, and this kind of annoyed me. In addition, the sandwich was way overpriced for a fast-food esque place. I could have gotten this for a similar price if not cheaper at Brueggers. I sat down and my sandwich came. It had cheese on it (processed gross American, no less). I never asked for cheese but I ate it anyways because I already paid for it. At this point, I also knew I was not returning, but I was content finishing my meal and calling it a day. Then my friend had a few bugs crawl in his food (sandwich and coke) and I completely lost my appetite and left. I can't give them 1 star because my experience was not as bad as his, but only marginally better.

It was Sunday morning, Mother's Day. Instead of going out for a brunch where we'd be waiting in line forever, my wife just wanted a bagel. My son was all for it, so I headed over to try the new bagel place in Framingham. When I got there, the line wasn't out the door, I counted seven people ahead of me, but didn't take into account the number of patrons sitting at tables with number stanchions announcing they have not yet received their orders. I was there to buy a couple of bagels to take home. My son likes his bagel toasted with butter, so I ordered that for him, a whole wheat for my wife and a sesame for myself (because they were out of pumpernickel.) By the time I got to the register to place my order, 15 minutes had passed. Honestly. And when I got to the register, the cashier held up a finger, asking me to wait while she went over to get herself a cup of water. Ok, I can understand her being thirsty, after all she did explain that she hadn't had anything to drink since 6:30 am, and here it was a few minutes past 9. Not my problem. I placed the order, the two individual bagels were bagged and I paid and was told nothing about where to wait for my order (the toasted bagel with butter.) It took another five minutes for them to complete the order. They obviously need to work on their front-end, Now for the bagels. When my wife saw the whole wheat, she asked me if I was sure it was whole wheat as it looked more like a plain. I assured her I saw the bagel taken from the whole wheat bin. My sesame bagel had WAY too many sesame seeds. I had to brush a good portion of them off. And for the plain bagel toasted with butter, by the time I got home (less than five minutes away) the butter had melted and soaked through the bagel wrap and the bag it was placed in. My son was disapponted, saying he would rather have a toasted bagel from Dunkin'. Last comment on the bagels: we all thought they were too chewy. My wife is a native of Long Island, and we've had NY bagels many many times. Going to a bagel shop on LI the lines are 12-15 people deep, you're out of there in five minutes, and the bagels aren't chewy. So I'll continue to go to either Cafe Fresh Bagels in Framingham Center or Einstein's in Wayland.

Still the best bagels in the area, but their service to families could use some upgrades. The place only has one high chair, a big problem on the weekend (when I have visited).

  • Rich V.

Being Jewish from the area, I've grown up on bagels. These are some of the best around for my liking. Way better than Brueggers, Einsteins, Finagle, etc. Personal favorite is whole wheat everything with nova shmear. I thought the service was excellent. They bring your bagel to your table while you are fixing your coffee. Coffee is excellent as well, with a myriad of flavor options. The owner came up and greeted me twice last week, remembering who I was. Seems like a really nice guy. I recommend!

  • Lindsey H.

I want to know why there is not a single restaurant in the entire world that knows how to toast a bagel. My husband and I each had an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and tomato. The bagels were really good, but needed to be toasted longer. The service was awkward. I don't know how else to describe it. It wasn't very friendly and I might be old fashioned or a square, but I don't like looking at lip rings and tongue rings on food service workers. One big recommendation I have for them is the menu is impossible to read. The font needs to be bigger, and I have good vision. The Tvs they were on may have distorted things as well.

I can't speak for how well these compare to the NY style bagel but these weren't bad. I had the sausage egg and cheese on a asiago bagel and an iced coffee. I didn't realize but these guys are known for their iced coffee ice cubes. Pretty awesome idea. We had a good experience - different than Einstein's in Wayland - not better or worse, just different.

  • J.J. B.

Went back today. Of course. They DID have egg bagels. They aren't on the menu but they had a basket full of them. Pretty tasty; I stole a bite of my son's. Also grabbed an egg cream. It's DIY style but delicious...real Fox's U-Bet!

  • Jon W.

Overpriced beyond reason, underwhelming. The bagels aren't even that good. How can you make a true lox and cheese bagel sandwich and not stock capers?

    (1)
  • Mara W.

As a native New Yorker- I am thrilled to finally have a great bagel in the Boston area- and now my kids can see what I grew up on- they love it too- The staff is so nice and friendly- they already recognize us and are always friendly when we are there- like a small local bagel place, it doesn't feel like a chain at all- The large coffee seemed expensive at first but its the equivalent of 2 large coffees because once the ice melts you have another cup of coffee- its a bargain once you realize how much coffee you are getting- One gut wrote a negative comment on yelp- well, you should of told the owner, he is always there and always wanting to make the customers happy and if he knew there was a problem, he would have been equally disappointed and eager to correct asap- and shame on you for writing a bad review, if you have nothing good to say- don't say it all-(First lesson I learned in Kindergarten)

I dropped in for lunch today and really enjoyed my bagel sandwich. I had chicken salad on an everything bagel. The chicken salad had lots of chicken and was very moist. The bagel had lots of flavor. The sandwich was about $7. The iced coffee with frozen coffee ice cubes was very tasty, but very expensive. A 32oz was over $5. I work around the corner and I'm excited about the new lunch option. I'll be back, but sadly I won't be going for any more $5 iced coffees.

  • Rebecca P.

Welcome, Brooklyn bagels!! New York style bagels, toppings on both sides, fresh & delicious. I guess their 'thing' Is iced coffee? Appreciated the coffee ice cubes which keep your coffee from being watered down- clever!

  • Annie C.

Everything bagel with cream cheese is amazing. These bagels are super addicting.

  • Elizabeth M.

This place is a gem! I ordered the veggie sccoper melt on an everything bagel, and it was delicious! The outside of the bagel was crisp and very well seasoned. The filling had a generous amount of vegetables and melty cheese. I noticed that the employees were a little frazzled at the register, but I think that is down to the fact that this location just opened.

    (4)
  • Wheels R.

Very good NY style bagels with a nice variety and decent coffee. Would be a 5 star review but ... 1- they microwave cook their eggs for the breakfast sandwich 2- overall the prices are a bit high I am already a regular customer, but I will be sticking with butter or cream cheese for my bagels. Besides, I am coming for the great bagels so I prefer to order them as unadulterated as possible.

  • Amanda P.

Hands down the best bagels I've ever had. Get any of them. You won't regret it. They're so fresh and have so much flavor. It's not a gimmick; they really are amazing.

Welcome to the neighborhood. The workers seem to be friendly. The prices are average. They have fresh squeezed orange juice.

    (5)
  • Bill R.

I was in between 1 star and 2 stars but ultimatley decided on 1 star because the value of this place is non existent. It's so over priced for what you get, bagels are pretty flavorless, boring cream cheese selecetion (That is half the reason to go to a bagel place), coffee is good but super overpriced for can coffee, I guess they add in the cost of their "coffee bar" which is just a couple ketchup pumps of flavorings and milks. The service doesn't help either just seems unenthused and waiting for the final minute before they can leave this building that is stuck in the early 90's. I will pass and just go to one of the bagel places around the corner.

just went day one...first reviewer. The bagel was great, generously loaded with cream cheese. the ice coffee was equally great with these ice cubes that are coffee infused and dont dilute the drink. med ice coffee and bagel with cc was a little over 6 bucks that was only negative. i think the ice coffee cost more than usual with these cubes but not sure, i think this place is going to crush it here. will definetely be back regularly . new natick framingham bagel power rankings 1.brooklyn water bagel 2.brueegers 3.finagle a bagel a distant third.

I've been back several times after my first semi-dissapointing trip and its been great. I always get an ham, cheese, and egg white breakfast sandwich and its huge, fresh and delicious. My only critique is the wax paper they wrap it in. The sandwich is so hot and fresh that by the time you get home to unwrap your sandwich, the steam from the sandwich basically disintegrates the wax paper and causes it to melt onto the bagel, making it tough to peel it off your bagel and even tattooing the bagel with the ink from the wax paper. The bagels are some of the best I've ever had, but again, they need to step up their schmear game,. If they introduce more a few more schmears, I'll probably upgrade my rating to a 4 or 5.

    (4)
  • Keith R.

I was pretty excited to try their ice coffee since they freeze coffee as the ice cubes. It was not good at all, and I am not a picky coffee drinker. The bagel sandwiches are extremely messy and the meat look very processed and not fresh. The egg and cheese fall out with every bite because the bagels are so soft. They have a decent selection of bagels and the veggie cream cheese is the best that I have had. If you are looking for a sandwich or coffee go elsewhere. If you are looking for a simple bagel with cream cheese then check this place out.

  • Foom T.

Excellent Bagels, great coffee. That is all I need from a bagel shop. I agree with others that the sandwiches look pricey, so I stay away from them. A bagel with any of a few different cr4eam cheeses and good sized coffee was around 5 bucks. You can't get better bagels in Metro west than these.

  • Katy F.

Great bagels and coffee! The bagels are so moist, which I just LOVE. Glad they opened up here. Only drawback is they are a tiny bit on the pricey side...

  • T G.

Good bagels. The nova sandwich and the egg sandwich are great. We love the coffee too.

  • R B.

Fast food interior. Frenetic pace, and the panic of "will there be a table???." Great bagels -- love the egg & cheese on a bagel, just right. Saw them mess up, repeatedly, the order next to us, but that's expected with a new place. Knish was dry, but tasty. The iced coffee was excellent -- the cubes are decaf so you don't hurt yourself.

  • Laura H.

More like 2 1/2 stars....I didn't think they were quite a NY bagel, but they were close. I remember being VERY young and driving somewhere not too far to get a real NY bagel, this was close but no cigar. The cream cheese was pretty good, a little too much for my liking though. I didn't care for the staff, too fast-foodish with their attitudes. Wish we had something even similar in Waltham, we need a bagel shop.

  • Peter R.

Great food and service! Had the chicken salad sandwich on an egg bagel and a coke. The service was spot on, the older lady was very informative of the ingredients and of the business. The bagels weren't NY style of sorts but definitely an A for effort.

  • Bob J.

After reading the reviews I decided I had to stop by and check this place out for myself. Who doesn't like a good bagel. I got their about 745 am and the line was about 8 people long with 2 cash registers open. The menu is large and a bit hard to read while you are waiting in line, but its a bagel shop so you decide on the fly. I had to try the ice coffee after all the previous reviewers spoke about it, $3.99 for a medium size with the "special" ice cubes was nothing special, but a bit interesting and just about everyone ordered it. The bagels were fresh and the cream cheese was plentiful and tasted good and fresh. The place is very clean and you can even watch them make the bagels fresh in front of you. Not as good as the bagels you can get in Montreal, but probably the best in the Metro west.

  • Diana G.

These guys are selling the real deal. I used to go to Zafitgs for bagels but now I frequent Brooklyn Bagel. The service is excellent The tuna, chicken and egg salad are terrific. The owner Steve is a real NYorker as well. These guys who gave then a crappy review are not from NY.

I went here for the first time yesterday, and really enjoyed it!!! I have been on the look out for a good bagel place since I moved to the Boston area from CT a few years ago. The bagel was delicious and the iced coffee was so good too!!! I LOVE that the ice cubes are frozen coffee, so it doesn't get watered down at all and you can enjoy it longer. Only bad thing I can say is that it was a little pricey.

  • Alan F.

Good, But Not Great, and Will Never Make It In New York. Size of bagel was mediocre. Limited types of cream cheese available. No iced tea available. Seemed designed to sell bagel sandwiches, such as salami and eggs, eggs and cheese, etc., which are not true bagel condiments. Their schmears are not spread onto the bagel. They are dumped onto the bagel, so you bit into a clump of cream cheese accompanied by a bagel, and not a bagel accompanied by cream cream. Long lines because cashiers/order takers did not appear well trained, i.e. they looked like deer in a headlight. The long lines did not contribute to any seating issues, as seating was adequate

  • F B.

The Turkey sandwich I had was OK but certainly nothing special. Two major deal breakers for me - 1. The price for a turkey bagel sandwich and a soda was over $11.00, and 2. the coleslaw side came in a ketchup cup. Barely 2 forkfuls. I won't be back.

Great Bagel and Great Bagel Sandwiches. Staff is great. Place is set up nicely. always busy when I go. Love the Asiago Bagel! Love the Bacon egg and cheese omelette sandwich.

Came up to HOTC and had to stop off at Brooklyn Water Bagels in Framingham. Had a great sliced nova, cream cheese, tomato and onion sandwich on a whole wheat bagel. YUM. Great coffee, great friendly staff and to top it off, an egg-cream to go. Heaven.

Bagels are great. I will certainly purchase some extra bagels next time. The family and I enjoyed our experience over here. Recommend that you try this place at least once. The iced coffee was good!

    (3)
  • Joey S.

Okay, so their bagels are good, but the staff is terrible at getting your order right, they are super slow and it is expensive for anything but a bagel. I think this place will last another few months before they shut the doors.

What a fabulous new addition to to the area, Originally would stop in with friends for a Fabulous Fresh bake bagel and excellent coffee in the morning. I asked if they did catering and they emailed a catering menu. We had friends and family from around the country in for a weekend birthday celebration at our home . I ordered platters for Sunday brunch so we could relax and spend time with family. They delivered it to our home exactly when requested. Now about the platters. They were beautiful! Family was thrilled that the bagels fabulous. All the fixings, assorted cream cheese, lox, bermuda onions, capers, tomatoes were artistically arrange. In addition we got mini rollers, muffins, a deli meat platter with real roast turkey that was delicious. A big urn of their Brooklyn coffee was a very cool center piece . Should have ordered two our guests went back for seconds. The pricing was reasonable, the service excellent and the the food was fabulous. Our friends and family were all commenting on how good it was.

My first experience with this relatively new store was excellent. I originally totally forgot this store had opened and visited a competitor only to find they had none of the popular bagels available. So I gave up there and came here. 1 hour before closing they had a full stock of bagels and I was able to choose each variety that I wanted. I also bought their Low Fat Veggie spread with the bagels. I wanted regular fat but was told it tasted the same. It really did! It was really tasty and I will definitely get it again. The bagels were very large but even better, they tasted great. Cashier was very friendly and funny. I will definitely be visiting again.

I am an avid Bagel buyer. I work for a company where i buy bagels for the office for everyone's birthdays. I usually go to Panera and get bakers dozens. Today i decided to try Brooklyn Water bagels. I am very glad i did! They have a better variety of bagel flavors and the cream cheese is amazing. Looks like i found my new birthday bagle stop!!

The premise behind this place is that they have a water treatment process that "brooklynizes" the local water, and this brooklynized water is used in their bagel boling and drinks. Sounds a bit gimmicky? It is, but the place turns out some good bagels. Bagels are very much like Brueggers in terms of texture and taste. They have the normal flavors (sesame, everything, etc...), but were out of asiago the day I went. Spread options are normal as well (plain, salmon, scallion). The place also has good muffins (although a bit pricey). The coffee is good, although they don't offer free refills. You make your order at the counter, they give you a number to place at your table, then a server brings the food to you. My order got screwed up (plain instead of salmon cream cheese), and so did the patron's who sat next to me, probably due to workers getting used to the operations. I'm planning on coming back in the month when service consitency improves. Seems like a good establishment with a promising future. Give it a try!

  • Sonya S.

This is the second time I've been here and the bagels are amazing! I lived in NY for a few years and honestly these bagels taste like the real thing. I love the egg bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese and slices of tomato. They give exactly enough cream cheese, and the bagels are large and perfectly chewy. The coffee here is also decent. I'm pretty picky, preferring Pete's coffee both out and at home, but the coffee here is strong but not bitter. I have only had the iced, and they use coffee ice cubes so the coffee doesn't get watered down.

I am new to Framingham as our company just opened a branch there. I was in the mood for something quick so how about a bagel? They have a glassed in area immediately to the left with a fancy bagel making machine. It's impressive, but then again, I have never seen a bagel making machine before I walked up to the counter. There were two people taking orders ...kind of. There was a woman and a guy. I was second, so the guy was going to take my order... He was on his cell and gave me the one minute sign. Ok...no biggie. The woman had finished with her patron and didn't even look at me standing next to her. She waited for the next customer Odd...really odd. No acknowledgement. Nothing. Next customer enters. She must have been a regular. They talked for a bit and she ordered. Still no look. Meanwhile, my "guy" is still on his cell a couple of steps away...still flashing his one minute finger...is this how it's done here? Or did they import these people from Brooklyn? Weird, really weird....and I am a patient person So I had breakfast at J&M......

  • Francis W.

Decent bagels, but did not taste the difference the water makes I am sorry to say. Bagel with egg and bacon was around $5. Its good to try something new, and fairly priced if your in the area and would like a breakfast sandwich but I do not think its anything out of the ordinary.

    (3)
  • Marta S.

What can I say, I love this place! The Bagels are the best I think. The perfect amount of thick skin and soft and chewy inside. I've tried a lot of different kinds and I like the garlic and onion bagels the best so far, still need to try a few more. I've only tried the regular cream cheese, not the other flavors. It's perfect. The lady behind the counter, Barbara makes the best Eggcreams I've had outside of New York.

    (5)
  • Tony P.

Well it a decent bagel but $8 for egg and cheese bagel sandwich is just outrageous. $5 for a tub of cream cheese isn't a little over the top as well. Good bagel but the prices are not worth it for me. Plain & Simple

Amazing bagels but you pay a little extra for them. I will definitely come back, but too expensive to make this a regular stop.

Wow what a bunch of complainers on this page! Here's the deal: If you want bastardized, BS, suburban bagels you've got ample choices. Dunkies, Mc D's, Brueggers etc. are what has become of the bagel in America and they, well, let's face it they suck. If you want a real bagel your choices are limited to Cafe Fresh Bagel, Rosenfeld's and BWB. All are good, crusty on the outside with great flavors and menu items. BWB has the coffee cubes and self-service egg cream bar! Cubes are sheer brilliance. The real reason I go back to this place is PRECISELY because of the counter staff. They are all friendly and efficient and I can honestly say it makes me happy to be greeted by name whenever I come in. As for the complaints about staff all I can say is I routinely encounter entitled, self important, rude customers treating the staff like servants. On more than one occasion I've actually had to step in to shut up customers who are literally verbally abusing the ladies at the front counter. It's a BAGEL people! If you like the food and try real hard to be nice to the people making a lot less than you do you might actually enjoy your future visits instead of ranting and raving because your morning coffee didn't include an ass kissing. With some of the horrible customer behavior I've witnessed at BWB I'm surprised the counter staff hasn't hired body guards...

Never been in the store, but husby gets them every weekend. They're always warm and fresh when he gets home and they taste wonderful. Love the crunchy outside with nice soft inside. Wish their breakfast sandwiches used real over-easy eggs. They have iced coffee iced cubes, genius!

  • Michael H.

Great Bagels. Toasted perfectly. Inside soft and chewy with a crunch outside. Best of the area for sure.

  • Steve W.

Bagels and cream cheese are good. The pastrami sandwich came with a side of slaw and pickle. The pickle was good, the slaw I didn't care for - a bit sour, not creamy enough. And the sandwich is a bit pricey at $9 w/ swiss cheese. I would come back for bagels and maybe a breakfast sandwich.

    (3)
  • B C.

Better bagels at many other places. Don't be live the hype, the water makes no noticeable difference between this kitschy joint and Bruggers. If in Portland ME visit Scratch Bakery. They have the bagels that set the bar for quality.

first time i went about 1 yr ago it was amazing... now it looks like a train wreck. Monitor menu boards gone. Coffee was warm... bagel was 1/2 @ss wrapped...

  • Lauren M.

These bagels are addicting. I've had to limit myself to one visit a week. My go to is everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese. SO good. Crunchy outside, soft and chewy inside. One thing that makes them stand above other places is that the toppings cover the entire outside of the bagel - not just the top. (clearly if I'm ordering an everything bagel I like might toppings) Can't go wrong with any of the bagel flavors or cream cheeses - they don't do anything fancy with the cream cheese flavors, but they make a solid scallion and veggie. One tip on the cream cheese - if you don't looooove cream cheese ask them to go light ... I love the amount they put on, but I also don't need a bagel to eat cream cheese. Their bagels also save really well - highly suggest grabbing a dozen or two for a weekend away. Enjoy!!

  • Andrew H.

Meh. This place really only deserves 3 stars. Subsequent visits have made me realize that I can get bagels that are just as good from other places, and the cream cheese will be better. Still love the fact that they have the coffee cubes for my iced coffee, but that's not enough reason to go out of my way for this place. Incidentally, their ridiculous menus that I commented on, before, were down the last time I was there, but if I had a universal remote I probably could have watched an on-demand movie from their ROKU system. Strange.

My husband got a sandwich from Brooklyn Water bagels today. He had pastrami on an everything bagel. I had a couple of bites. The pastrami was average, but the bagel was amazing. He also got a black and white cookie that was as big as a dinner plate. It was a great snack for my family of five. It was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back for more bagels and cookies!

@BrooklynWBagel My tip was, "Get here early for the bialys". But don't forget about the many other varieties. Some favorites are Bialy, of course, and the Asiago - Pungent and DELICIOUS, Egg and Salt. We have also tried Wheat and Plain, which are great an

the bagels are fresh & amazing. breakfast sandwiches are on the pricey side but you will not be hungry after one. their iced coffee has coffee cubes, crazy! often get bacon, egg & cheese on a egg bagel & ham egg & cheese on a asiago. (1 for breakfast & 1 for lunch) comparable to my favorite bagel place in New York Bagel Dock.

just started working in Framingham and luckly stumbled upon Brooklyn Water Bagels today! I was pleasantly surprised as I'm quite a fan of my daily bagel intake. I decided on an Breakfast sandwich with bacon. Everything about the bagel was superb, melted oozing cheese, with bacon mixed into the scrambled egg was on point. I will certainly be back!

I'm really disappointed in this place.I used to love it when they first opened. Went in a couple of days ago the place was filthy, windows outside so dirty you couldn't see in, dining area a mess, they cut the size of their muffins in half. The orange juice machine was not working , I don't understand ?

My review is relative to the bagels and iced coffee. I really feel like this is a 5 star bagel. There are very few good bagel bakeries in this region. The bagels here have great flavor and texture. They are chewy and dense. The seeds on the sesame and everything bagels taste fresh. The iced coffee is good but the coffee cubes take it up a notch. Most iced coffees are loaded with ice and if you don't drink them quickly they get diluted. Not with these cubes, simple yet brilliant. Now all I need is a bar that makes ice cubes out of whisky.

The bagels here are amazing! The sandwiches are made on any bagel of your choice so you can change up your favorite on every visit. Plenty of old standbys like Reubens, Monte Cristos, & Tuna Melts but they also have Pizza Melts and tons of egg sandwiches. The iced coffee come with coffee cubes and there are many add in choices-even soy milk and cherry syrup and u-bet for the sodas. If you come at the right time you can see the bagels being made (much more fun than sausage ;-)

The deal with Brooklyn Water Bagels is that they make a pretty decent bagel (a real bagel that has been boiled in water before being baked, not a foam bagel like you get at Dunkin Donuts), but that the bagel sandwiches and drinks tend to be about 20-25% overpriced for what they are. I will go to BWB occasionally, for when I want a bagel with lox, but I don't go that often because unlike a genuine authentic hipster from Brooklyn, I hate being overcharged.

I will never go back to Brooklyn Water Bagels. My first visit was amazing so my partner and I were dying to go back. Either we went on an extremely good day or our latest visit on Saturday was an extremely poor day. Either way - not returning. My partner ordered a lox bagelwich and that was fine. I ordered the brisket bagelwich for $7.99. It had a long description about what was in it (and we had had it the time before) which included tomatoes, mustard, cheese, etc. We also ordered an iced coffee which was fine but the container was faulty and leaked all over us when we picked it up and on the seat of the car. We paid, waited, got our items and left. About fifteen minutes later, we stopped to open our bagels and I was shocked at what mine looked like. It was a severely burnt rye bagel with just brisket meat. No condiments, no other toppings. Nada. For that price, that's just ridiculous. The meat was extremely dry too. I tried to give some of the bagel to my dog and even she wouldn't eat it. Both the top and the bottom was burnt. I have no idea how they can see someone ordered a sandwich and serve dried up meat on a burnt bagel and not wonder if they person may have wanted anything else on it or actually followed the menu and put all the stuff on that's listed as being on it. Gross. To top it off, the sandwich came with coleslaw and instead of a fork they put a knife in the bag. We ended up sharing the lox sandwich bagel which was good but nothing spectacular. They've lost my business forever though which is a pity as they were excellent on our first visit but for over $21 the meal was no way worth it.

This place was good. Not great, but a solid establishment. I got a simple multi grain bagel and cream cheese and it was pretty good. LOTS of cream cheese on it! Bagel was tasty and well made. I'm not sure I'm sold on "It's all about the water" but I won't knock it. The OJ however was incredible. I'm presuming it's fresh squeezed and that's not easy to come by. Very good. My one complaint about the place is that it was a little messy, probably from the early morning rush, but it wasn't enough to drop my rating. I'm also not crazy about the aesthetics of the place. It feels like a McCafe; very commercial. I like my bagel establishments to feel more like a bakery, although i like that you can see them making the bagels behind the glass. It's like a museum or zoo. Personal preference I suppose.

Just loved the bagels and the bagel sandwiches. Coffee is awesome. Has already become my favorite places in here. I tried the salmon nova. It was yummy. The egg sandwich was bit dry that is why 4 stars otherwise it really stands high for a 5 star

I really wish I got to eat my overpriced bagels. I was so frustrated with a female employee who would not retoast my bagel, threw out my bagel and left. An untoasted bagel should be punishable in a court of law. Also the air conditioner was on too low I was chilled.

Every time I go here I swear I'll never go again because the prices are so damn high. 12 bucks for 2 bagels and 2 med ice coffees is a joke. But the food is pretty good so I keep coming back.

The bagels are fairly good but I ordered an iced coffee and went to use the soy milk and it came out in clumps. Mildly disgusted I asked one of the nice younger girls at the counterif I could have another iced coffee which I would just keep black. They immediately complied and told the woman who I took to be their supervisor about the milk. She went over, lifted the pump, shook it around a bit and announced the soy milk was fine just frozen. So I guess everyone would just be getting frozen soy milk clumps... One of the friendly girls behind the counter got me a box from the refrigerator which was nice. The bagels are great so I will come back.

As a bagel snob from New York, this goes against all that I believe in. It's a chain, they're only open till mid afternoon, they don't make salt bagels (New yorkers know what I'm talking about), my first thought walking in and looking around is...fast food. In spite of the above, this was still one of the best bagels outside of NY, that I've had the pleasure to enjoy, a crunchy exterior, combines with a nice chewy interior. I kept it fairly simple this first time out. I ordered a Whole Wheat Everything, not toasted with butter. The bagel was covered in toppings and had just the right amount of shmear. I was a little disappointed that the counter people don't prepare the bagel, and wait for a fellow employee in the back to do it for them, not how it's done in NY. Nonetheless, the staff was very friendly. Let's hope it stays that way as the newness wears off. The one thing I did likw though is being able to watch through the glass windows as employees made the bagels. Memories of my youth, reminded me of growing up and watching the bagels made in small mom & pop bagel stores on Long Island.

I can't tell you how "Brooklynized" the water is in these bagels, as I've never had a bagel in Brooklyn (hoping to change that!). However, I can tell you that compared to other bagel choices in the area (DDs, Einstein's, Panera, Brueggers, Finagle) this is the best bagel I've ever had. It's flaky, crusty and chewy in all the right places and combinations. I had the Asiago bagel with reduced fat veggie cream cheese. It was such a fulfilling breakfast! The people behind the counter were super friendly and sweet. I hope the customer service doesn't fade away as the location gets busier. I'm so glad I found this place. I will go out of my way to come here in the mornings, but luckily I work just down the street, so I don't have to. They also deliver catering, which is great for the corporate offices in the area.

This place is Bagel Heaven! The Best Bagels in Metro West area! They even have SALT & Flagels! If you serve those two types of bagels you automatically get my respect. For ice coffee lovers, they fill the cup with frozen coffee cubes so you drink doesnt get watered down, Genius! The kitchen is completely open. They even have a glass wall so you can see into where they prepare the bagels. Plenty of seating for dining in and they give you an instructional bag with your takeout to make sure you reheat your bagels to perfection. Love this place!

I thought these bagels were excellent and did taste just like the bagels I've had in Brooklyn. The kid behind the counter (who said he didn't usually run the register) was enthusiastic and fun. He recommended a delicious roast beef sandwich on an everything bagel and didn't steer us wrong! We brought two bagels home for the next day, which we heated up in the morning in the oven at 350 degrees for a few minutes. They were crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Perfection.

This place is pretty disappointing. I was previously living about 30 minutes from NY , so I was excited to potentially find a place that would satisfy my craving of a NY bagel. This place doesn't even come close... It may with its ridiculous prices but the quality and taste is no where near it should be. The coffee is nothing but mediocre and once again, a ridiculously overpriced item on the menu. The employees have poor customer service and you can feel their resentment towards you as soon as you walk thru the door. You might as well save your dignity as well as a hit on your wallet and go to bruggers bagels a little ways down the road because they at least have a wide variety of bagels and cream cheeses.

I agree with Galaxy T. I been buying a baker dozen every now and then since they've opened and noticed the place going downhill with each visit. The place use to have nice friendly people working there and the place was well kept. Now the place looks run down, not so well kept, and not so nice workers. What's with the humungous tip jar? All I want is a bag of bagels, raise the price to pay the workers if they aren't paid enough but get rid of the tip jar it's tacky, brings the place down, and makes me think twice about coming back for the awkward experience.

Went with a great positive attitude but boy, was I shut down, quickly. First time visit, Sat about 2PM; much of the bagels were sold out. After I ordered a bagel, before I could ask for another (take out order) the cashier kept saying to me "anything else" She was rushing me out, and there were no customers behind me..and only 2 in the restaurant. I had to request they stop rushing me...and that yes, I had 2 orders to place; In total 2 bags, each with 3 bagels - I've never been so rushed thru an order and so rudely spoken to before. Talk about lst impressions, yours was not welcoming nor customer friendly at all. Frankly, I can get better bagels elsewhere..so no reason to return and I'll let others know about the poor customer service. I don't need to be spoken to in such a demeaning manner.

I have been here before and the products are good. My recent experience was horrible. I purchased a dozen bagels, tub of cream cheese and three muffins and not sure the cashier spoke more than three words. This women was angry and didn't want to be there and she was determined to make all of the customers miserable. With employees like this, it's easy to never return. Its too bad.

Quality at Brooklyn Water Bagel has really gone downhill, and the customer service is beyond awful. The woman with white hair and black glasses has been so rude to us so many times we just won't be back. We asked for the bagel to be toasted, when it wasn't and we went back up to get it toasted she didn't speak to us. Just took the bagel to have it toasted and handed it back. No apology, not even an acknowledgement something wasn't right. Last visit the bagels were cold, almost as if they were cooked the day before and refrigerated overnight. The Everything bagels are more like Some Stuff bagels, hardly any toppings. They used to be great. $12 for two bagels (one with cream cheese and one with just butter) and two sodas (realized after we were charged for the more expensive iced coffee) is far too much money for the aggravation of dealing with employees that are rude.

I want to give this fast food chain 3 stars, but I just can't for one good reason : price. I paid $20 for two bagel sandwiches and two sodas. The bagels are actually not bad at all, but comparable bagels can he found at other local outlets ( blue moon bakery !) for significantly less with much more love and care in the food prep. I've been back a few times because I remember I like the bagels , but then after paying I remember why I stayed away for so long between visits ; I always feel ripped off while I'm eating.... And for me that ruins the good experience I would have otherwise had. Prices need to drop 20% at least for me to consider more stars.

I've been here twice. First trip I just got iced coffee. $4.27 for a large?!? At least it was good coffee, but that's even more than Starbucks or any local coffee shop. Second time I went for lunch. Got a ham, turkey and cheese sandwich on a bagel. First off, it wasn't that good. I had already decided I likely wouldn't be returning. Second, it was expensive, almost $14 for a bagel sandwich (no chips even), small fountain drink and cookie. I ate half the sandwich then saw a bug crawl into it and not come back out. I was disgusted but was just going to cut that part off until I saw another bug floating in my soda. At that point, I asked for my money back and left. At least they refunded my money. The restaurant itself looks like a cookie cutter chain, certainly not like a Brooklyn bagel joint. There's a big machine that says "Bagel former" on the side of it, so they're not even made by a person, but by a machine. I felt like I was in McDonald's. NEVER going back.
