The sushi here is incredible, the hibachi is fun and tasty, and the drinks are good. The service leaves something to be desired, which is why I usually order online and pick up.

This place is pathetic. Worst service EVER. Watched 2 tables walk out while I waited for my scorpian bowl (which tasted watered down). For the love of, go to Ginjo, Takara, Asian Deli- christ, go to McDonald's. Just don't go here.

I have a right to change my mind that being said, can I just say WOW! First Rachel behind the bar was fantastic, she was attentive and extremely patient with a guy who doesn't know the difference between a California Roll from a Hot Dog Roll "rim shot". Honestly Rachel took the time to guide my through the world of sushi and it was fantastic! I slammed service with my last critique, happily that has all changed. The entire staff was right there helping each other at every turn. In conclusion I will absolute be going back!

We had a great time at Saga! The sushi and dinner were excellent. The chef who cooked for us couldn't have been more entertaining, and had us smiling the whole time! Can't wait to go back!!!

Worst service EVER. Bartender won't even make eye contact so she doesn't have to serve you. Sat at bar for fifteen minutes without ever being acknowledged. No menus given. No drink order taken. Nothing. Ate here last week and food was ok but service was pathetic. Finally got up and left. Too bad the service is so bad. Could be a nice place.

When we first got there our waiter seemed a little agitated but still made sure we had everything we needed. Many reviews said they had slow service... I've never had service this fast. We had our drinks a minute after we ordered them. I really liked the dressing on the salad, it wasn't as thick as most hibachi places. Our sushi was pretty delicious I had the vegetable sushi and my boyfriend had the spicy maki combo. The only part of the sushi I didn't like was the seaweed salad BUT out of the two times I've had it in my life I didn't like it either time so I won't hold that against them, I think it's just not for me. I ordered a plum wine which tasted like tropical punch mixed with kids cough medicine, if I was five years old it would of been delicious but it was entirely too sweet! I loved the decor inside the restaurant it was different than any other restaurant I've been to. The booth seats were very cool, I've never seen such decorated seats! We will definitely be coming back here if we're looking for sushi in the foxboro area!

I believe Saga's has the most flavorful hibachi meals over it's competitors. In my opinion, food tends to be bland at any typical hibachi grille but I was pleasantly surprised at Saga! They also incorporate both noodles and rice which is a nice gesture rather than having to pick from the two. The look and feel of the place is trendy and new. But it's very dark inside and the floors are extremely slippery when wet. Just a warning to the owners, I guarantee you'll have a lawsuit someday when someone slips and falls on your polished floors. They look cool but are a death trap for the buzzed. Don't say I didn't warn ya.

Went in Monday night for hibachi. The cooks were so much fun. I went with my boyfriend and had a great meal. The family across from us seemed to be having a great time too. I wouldn't think to bring young kids to hibachi but they seemed to enjoy it, we had a great time and a good meal. Will be back :)

Went on a Saturday night. It was only 5PM but we left about 6:15 and it was still pretty empty, no one at all at the bar. Food seemed OK. No soup or salad like you get at other hibachi places which was disappointing but everything else (we both always get the hibachi filet) was good . We were going to go elsewhere and have a drink after but we both felt a little queasy as soon as we left and decided to go straight home:( . I'm not sure if it was a strange coincidence or the food but we wont be visiting again. The new place in Franklin was much better! (Kind of ruined date-night!)

Wish I had read these reviews before taking a chance on this place; the majority of them are spot on, based on my experience, and not in a good way. This newest little gem of a dining establishment captures everything in a dining experience that will make you say, "Wow!"..., and again, not in a good way. I suspect Saga doesn't get too many repeat customers. And the mediocre food, really, really bad Martinis, and quite possibly the worst waitstaff service available in the area would fully justify that. Somebody call "Bar Rescue", "Restaurant: Impossible" and "Restaurant Redemption" immediately because this place needs serious help.

So I went to this place last night for a girls night out. I feel kinda bad that it was me who picked this place. But I figured "hey its hibachi. And hibachi is fun". Nope. Sorry. It's was terrible. Now let's begin... 1. Their mai tais are only juice wit a rum floater. I watched the bartender make it and should have sent it right back but didn't. My fault for that but let's continue.... 2. The food was ok. I've had better. I ordered the hibachi chicken. 3. They kicked my party off the hibachi table when we ordered dessert. Really?! I had to step out n make a call when this was goin on so I wasn't there but my friends were none too happy. I kno it's a Saturday and ur trying to turn over tables BUT wtf?! I came back in the restaurant to find my friends shrone about in a private dining room by ourselves. My 1st question...q where the hell is my drink?! I left with a full scorpion bowl at the table. Where is it now?! I went immediately to management because after all the crap they pulled kicking us off the table before our dessert (which ended up being free), and my drink was replaced (not really free, more like a refill). They even threw out my friends leftover food smh -_- I was gonna give 2 stars for the food and the host Jared (he was nice) but it was 53 degrees out yesterday and my jacket was a causality of dining there i.e. lost/stolen and I only noticed at 1 am long after the restaurant closed. The buttheads aren't answer the phone now :-( keep the jacket I just want my work id's. Moral of the story is... Saga sucks. Stay away.

I'm surprised to find so many bad reviews for Saga, but I've only been here once myself, about a month ago. My boyfriend refers to Saga as "Club Saga", due to all the fluorescent lights that you'll find throughout the restaurant. The decor, otherwise, is nice. Unless we're with another couple, my boyfriend and I never bother with the whole Hibachi entertainment experience. Our favorite Hibachi restaurant (Kyoto in Mansfield) doesn't have the entertainment factor, we'd prefer to go without it. What I loved about Saga was how spacious it is. Unlike a few Hibachi restaurants that I have been to, they don't focus on JUST watching the chefs cook, with a bright lit, several table section beside it. You can watch chefs cook your meal in one big room, or you can dine in another large room, and the bar is in it's own room as well. We liked that; it made for a quiet dinner, even on a fairly busy Friday evening. We both had sushi and hibachi and the portions were average for Hibachi restaurants, and the sushi was delicious. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. It seems as though, judging by a couple of other reviews, we were lucky. A great experience, and I am sure we will return again.

We are experienced hibachi diners and thought we'd try Saga with a Groupon. Atmosphere is great but food and service was just ok. They load up the plate with rice and noodles and very little veggies and protein. Chicken was very over cooked. Ginger dressing on the salad was bland. Husband asked for a Yeungling beer only to be told they don't have it. Rest of table was served soda in Yeungling glasses. He asked about it and was to they only have the glasses but not the beer. Then later was told they do have it but only on draft. Hibachi chef had absolutely no personality. Over cooked the food and was done.

First off, Saga overbooks reservations. Our party had a reservation for 8. When we all arrived for 8, we were treated like normal guests and were given a ticket and had to wait. Well took about 45 minutes to get our table. So what was the point of the reservation? Nothing. Don't book reservations you can't keep Saga. Hibachi is pretty much all the same all over. It tastes nearly identical to one another and you're paying extra in the food prices for the entertainment. Our chef wasn't that amazing and didn't have many tricks compared to the one next to him. Our chef also forgot the sauce that compliments the meals. We had to ask for it at the end. We were also seated right beneath a huge fan blowing cold air on us. Our row had to keep our winter jackets on. By the time we were finishing our meals, our food was completely cold. As hibachi is a dime a dozen, no need to go to one that doesn't have good service.

We went here on the very first night it was open .... Wow, not a single opening night glitch! The execution was flawless, the food was delicious, and the presentation was behind entertaining. I got the impression that every one in there was a hard worker and cares deeply about the customer. We alter returned to celebrate the birthdays of 2 family members, and the experience was OVER THE TOP amazing. I can't think of any other restaurant that provides a better birthday experience than this one. The 2 birthday people: a 7yo boy and a grandmother in her 60s, equally had pure fun and couldn't stop talking about it for many days after. Every one left with a smile and a belly full of great food. I couldn't give this place enough credit - we shall always return here for the hibachi. Disclaimer: we do not enjoy sushi so we did not try that part of the menu here.

Worst service I've ever had in my life. Waited 30 minutes for a waiter to even come over to the table after going to tell the people at the front door we haven't been helped TWICE. Food was nothing special. The waiter actually gave us attitude when he finally Came over to take our order and didn't even get it right.

I've heard horror stories, but decided to go anyway. We had a great chef - although you could tell we lucked out with him - other hibachi stations looked awkward and boring! We "split" a hibachi meal for an extra $9 on top of the original $22 and it was so worth it.. We got the same amount of food as everyone else!

I really would like to give a higher rating, but alas, Saga has not lived up to my hibachi expectations. I made a reservation for a group of 7 at 8pm last Friday. My group of friends all come from different parts of MA so getting together in Foxboro at 8pm on a Friday night means some people are bound to be late. That's ok, we understand that our party must be all there in order to be seated. That's what the bar is for! A few of us got there right at 8pm, while some were lost/stuck in traffic etc. We went to the bar to get drinks while we wait for the rest of the group. I stood at the bar for about a good 5 minutes before the bartender even acknowledged my existence. Maybe I have been watching too much Bar Rescue but the cardinal rule of bartending is acknowledge your customer even though you are busy. You put the damn napkin down and tell them I will be right with you. Nope. No such thing. She was too busy facing one side of the bar and doing other things but looking all over the bar. At first I thought there were two bartenders and she was only serving the other side, but no, she was the only bartender. I almost walked over to the other end of the bar before she realized I was standing there. She asked what she can get for me, and I said "Red Lotus", which is one of their signature drinks. She said "a what?" and I had to repeat myself. Let's hope that's because the music is loud and not because she has no idea what it is. Anyway, I finally got my drink after 10 minutes at the bar. Our friends finally showed up around 8:20pm. We were seated about 8:25. Long story short, we put in our orders at 8:35, drinks came at 8:50 and our hibachi chef showed at about 9:15. To give them credit, the hibachi chef was pretty fun, however, I had a hard time understanding him. Also, I asked for my filet mignon medium rare while the rest of the party wanted medium... how is it that others got their steaks BEFORE me? The food portion is small for the price they charge too! Our waitress was pleasant though, only thing that saved this experience. To sum it up: SERVICE: slow. If you have plans, make sure you give at least 2 hours for this meal. FOOD QUALITY: so-so. Nothing superior. FOOD PRICES: too pricey for being mediocre I would like to know - WHAT IS WITH THE RANDOM TECHNO MUSIC BLASTING FROM TIME TO TIME? It's like someone cranked the Dance Dance Revolution machine... I still think Sake in Mansfield has the best hibachi around. I probably won't be back to Saga anytime soon... too expensive for not making me want to puke from over-stuffing my face AND have leftovers.

We were told a half hour wait. Been here for an hour and a half so far, and still waiting. This place has no idea how to seat tables. Can't comment on the food because we haven't been able to eat yet but service is terrible. Go to red Robin next door and save yourself the trouble.

The sushi here was pretty good. However the atmosphere was cray! The table next to us had a birthday, which was fun and celebratory. The staff brought out a flaming flower and sang happy birthday. But when the party left the flower was still sitting on the table singing this incredibly high pitched beeping song that sounded like a video game. They left it there for probably 20 minutes. The table next to us even started playing music from their phone to tune it out. Double annoying whammy. The vibe was killed, but the actual food and service were good.

Be careful using the Groupon. I tried to tonight and the waiter happily informed us "Well you didn't get two entrees" To me, this is an indication that they turn down Groupons often. We got an appetizer and sushi - which exceeded the $30. Tonight is a Wednesday night and the place wasn't busy at all. You would think that the waiter would come and take our drink orders promptly. By the time he got to us, we were ready to order our dinners ( dinner - not "entrees" apparently) I asked to speak to the manager after the bill was paid and explained to her that I had visited a few weeks ago and sat at the Hibachi grill and the chef had messed up my order (I specifically asked for no soy sauce on my meat but he added it anyway). I explained that I was willing to give Saga another try because there was a Groupon. The manager asked if I came on a Friday and Saturday night. I told her it was a Friday night and her response was, "Well it's busy on Friday and Saturday nights so that's why your order was messed up." The sushi chef brought me to see the manager when asked. The chef was standing next to another gentleman. When I got to the lady manager, the other gentleman joined us. I asked if he was a manager as well and he said yes. Not sure why I couldn't talk to him when I asked for a manager when he was right there. As I explained my disappointment, an audience of waiters gathered. After I told the lady manager about both experiences, she offered for me to come back to use the Groupon. I informed her that I would not be coming back. Her response was, "Well I'm trying to help you use your Groupon." No one blinked when I said that there are other sushi places to go to and I was going to rate my experience.

This was hands down the worst hibachi experience I've had. The service was mediocre at best. The staff was disinterested and lacked any level of enthusiasm for what they were doing. The food was salty, flavorless, and over cooked. The bathroom made me gag. Location was convenient.

The service is ok, the food is alright, they treat you like a 2nd class citizen for using a groupon. I didnt have high expectations to begin with but it's not cheap and I spent another $40 on top of the groupon for dinner. I thought the hibachi was ok, the sushi even though half price was really mediocre. I suppose this is as exotic and ethnic as you get in Foxboro.

Awful service. Which is a pity because the food isn't bad. First - the hostess staff. My friend made birthday reservations a week in advance. They mixed up the reservation and then instead of just apologizing when the mistake was made, the hostess was arguing with my friend, the birthday girl, saying that she took the reservation, and she knows they did not request hibachi. This was obviously untrue, because she specifically remembered saying hibachi, thats the only reason we wanted to go here. Then she said "no problem, but it will be a 20 minute wait for a table". This was after we had already waited a half hour, and was about 45 minutes past our reservation time. "fine", no big deal, a 20 minute wait more. An hour later, we were finally sat. We were the absolute last group to get sat for the night. All other parties came in, got sat. Nobody said anything, all the hostesses basically just avoided eye contact with us. Second - the bar service. Ooh my god, the bar service. While the hibachi portion of the restaurant was hopping (clearly, as me and my group were still on our wait of over an hour), the bar not so much. It took 5 minutes for a bar tender to acknowledge me and my friend. Another 5 for her to come around to take our drink order. Not that she was busy, but she was walking away from the bar, coming back. Taking other patrons orders that walked up to the bar before ours. Then once we ordered the drink, and I kid you not, another 10 minutes for her to make our drinks (mine was wine. How long can that take!?) And my white wine was warm. It must have been under lights or something. My friend plopped an ice cube from her drink into mine and it melted almost immediately. Gross. When she dropped the check off for our drinks, she dissapeared. We had to grab another bartender to take my card to pay for it. Unbelievable. I've had better service at bars that are 10x busier. And there were 3 or 4 bartenders behind the bar, not like they were understaffed. Just bad, bad service. When we sat down, the hostess knew we were mad. They tried making us happy with free sake shots. I'm not a huge fan of sake, so that did nothing for me. Being my friends birthday, you think they would have thrown in a free birthday dessert for her? Nope. Nothing. The food was not bad. Hibachi food was standard, very yummy and cooked nicely. But there are a lot of hibachi places around, with service so much better than this place. Seriously, save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else. Bad bar service, gross drinks, and terrible, terrible service. See ya never, Saga.

Obviously any restaurant on opening night/week has to be given some leeway in performance. My wife and I sat at the bar for some sushi. We did see that there was some language barrier issues that needed to be figured out between bar and wait staff. Other than that, service was fine. The sushi we had was all outstanding. Large selection of unique sushi I had not had before. Wife ordered hibachi entree, which was OK, but hard to judge not being fresh from the actual hibachi table. I will try again and would recommend you try for your self.

Saga recently opened at Patriot Place so we thought we'd give it a try. It's a good sized space with comfortable and pleasant decor. You can sit at the hibachi table with your group or other people and have your meal cooked in front of you or have a quiet dinner in another room with spacious booths. The menu had a lot of choices ranging from Thai to Sushi to typical Japanese steakhouse fare. We had the shumai appetizer which was fried not steamed as we normallly see and hibachi meals (scallop and steak) that come with rice, noodles, veggies, soup, and salad. I would like to say that it was as good as other japanese hibachi I've had, but feel that I've had better in terms of robust flavors. I am hopeful that being newly opened, they will only get better, although, I understand that it is a chain out of Pennsylvaniia. The service was fantastic though and the staff warm and friendly.

We made a reservation for 730 and showed up on time only to find out there would still be a wait. We went to the bar, where we were ignored by the bartenders for 20 minutes before being served. The bartender was inputting credit card tips with tons of people were waiting for drinks. She was terribly slow and made no effort to acknowledge people or apologize for the wait. We finally got seated after 8 pm only to find 20 people in the hibachi room all waiting on drinks and a cook. We had to leave and go to dinner elsewhere because the service was soo poor. Don't waste your time going to this place.

The food was very good but the service was very bad. The server was inattentive, forgot about our miso soup and salad and then did not even apologize when we asked him about it after we had already received our sushi. He just said 'it is coming'. Then he did not check on us. To top it off, he practically ran us over in his car peeling out of the employee parking area as we were among the last customers to leave the restaurant for the night. Unacceptable. I will be calling to speak with a manager.

I'm totally confused by these negative reviews! My husband and I had a great experience at Saga tonight. We walked into a nearly empty restaurant at 6 on a Friday night and were immediately seated at the sushi bar, per our request. Our waiter was so attentive it was almost ridiculous, when compared to what others have said. The sushi chefs were friendly and engaging, and even gave us a free seaweed salad appetizer to share. The sushi we ordered was *delicious* and came immediately. We never felt rushed, and even lingered a while after we paid our bill, but we were in and out in 1 hour. We would go back in a heartbeat - for the great food AND service. P.S. This review is not "planted"! Just an honest take from a happy diner. :)

Went to Saga because my friend and I love Hibachi restaurants and usually you can't go wrong with them, some are better than others, but they are usually always good regardless. Saga is the exception. This restaurant was awful. The service was not good, waitress never checked on our drinks, only had one drink the 2 hours we were there. The soup was the only good part of the meal. The rice was bland and tasted burnt, not sure if it was that the cooktop wasn't cleaned properly or the oil they were using. The lobster did not taste good and I couldn't even eat my chicken, the sauce was awful and tasted like something you would get at the mall cafeteria. This review makes me sound very picky but I am not picky and I understand not every place will be great but when I eat out I want to at least enjoy it and not feel sick from it.

There are so many better choices, dine here once and you won't be back. Service was actually good, however, the food was poor and attempting to cover it up with heavy sauces just doesn't cut it for me. There's plenty of hibachi style restaurants in the area if you insist on your meal being cooked in front of you. The entertainment factor is nearly the same at each and every one of these sort of restaurants. Save your money and sanity by choosing a decent asian restaurant rather than wasting your money here. I give this place less than a year before they're gone.

I was lured in by half-priced sushi on Monday nights, and was not disappointed. First off, the regular price is $8 for two rolls (twelve pieces) of sushi, and $11 for three. Not only are these fantastic prices to begin with, but they didn't charge extra for the more expensive types of sushi. The sushi itself was delicious, and made perfectly. The waitstaff was attentive, jumping up as soon as I needed something, and very polite. I can't wait to come back!

I was witness to the story Sean B posted earlier today. I decided to share what i saw unfold last night solely because the manner in which management handled the serious situation was disgusting, unprofessional, and down right smug/rude. I watched as one young man got physically sick, and the other claim his food tasted like chemicals yet no action was taken. No manager chef or employee inspected the food in question, and they DID refuse to remove the food they barley touched from the check. Management treated them with zero comPassion and a hoity-toity smugness . Granted the 4 young men were very vocal about the extremely slow service, but did not deserve to be served tainted food. And to find out they had to pay 28$ each for meals they did not eat and made them ill is ridiculous. But a 10$ gift card is supposed to make it right? Very disgusted will never go there again and will steer anyone and everyone away from that place. -susie I give this a zero star rating

Good service, ok food We went for lunch today and the service was great. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, the manager stopped by our table and spoke with us again on our way out, and the chef was very friendly and entertaining. The food was just "ok" for Hibachi. The chicken was a bit overcooked, the shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the flavor of the food overall was "ok". I've had better yum-yum sauce also.

This is a terrible restaurant ! We waited over an hour for our pre booked table ... The food was half cooked. The waitress got most of the orders wrong and they crammed more people around the hibachi table than it could handle.. The plates were dirty . Avoid this place

Just came in for the bar and an appetizer.... Bartenders didn't know at all what was going on, then took a solid five minutes to get a drink. Got the beef skewer appetizer, and it was six small pieces of beef for $8. Ordered a martini and it took about 10 minutes cause they ran out of martini glasses. Told them I didn't even want it after 10 minutes waitress got pissed and started slamming glasses around. Food was good but service is not up to par with the prices. Will give the hibachi a fair shot sometime though.
I would love to give zero stars, but seeing as that is not an option, they will get the pity star. I'd like to start by saying that I am a former employee and would like to call out Ricky L. He is the owner and is a crook. No need to spill the details, but his review is his lame attempt at redeeming their awful reputation. Don't get me wrong, the food is excellent and from what I saw, the place is clean. However, if you like to be treated as a human being, you will have better luck across the walkway at Red Robin. If you like being treated as a third world citizen, then by all means, Saga is the place for you. The owners and management are rude to everyone that comes through their doors. They will make you feel like you just kicked their puppy if you mention that you have a reservation (which, by the way, will still take you an hour to sit) and they will either ignore you while you wait or act like you are bothering them by waiting in their waiting area.

My girlfriend and I decided to try Saga at Patriots Place since it just opened. We were disappointed from the start and it only got worse. We made reservations and when we got there, the hostess looked at us with a confused look as she checked off our name. She then said it would be at least a 30 minute wait. We decided to stick it out and figured it was just due to it being new and getting the kinks out. We were finally seated at the hibachi table and with a group of people that also had reservations that waited even longer than we did. While waiting for our server, we noticed the manager arguing with people at a different hibachi table about their bill they had received for about 10 minutes. That should have been a red flag right there for what we were about to experience. It took about 20 minutes before the waiter came to take our drink and meal orders. He barely spoke any English and screwed up the orders right away and had to ask everyone again what they wanted. 20 minutes later, we still had not received any drinks and had to flag him down as he walked by to ask when they were coming. He just smiled and said ok and walked away. When the drinks finally did show up, my girlfriend and I were given two small cups of some kind of cocktail that we both had no idea what it was. We had ordered a scorpion bowl for 2 and when I told the waiter that this is not what we ordered, he looked confused and then smiled and said we have no more bowls. When I asked him what he gave us, he acted like he didn't understand and laughed and walked away. At this point we were getting pretty frustrated so we just asked for ice water since they can't mess that up and it took me reminding him 3 times and 30 minutes later to get it. During the meal (which was overcooked and had a very blah taste), the waiter came over and asked if i still wanted a scorpion bowl. I said ok and then he came back a couple minutes later and proceeded to tell me that they now ran out of juice. A scorpion bowl is a very popular drink and to run out of bowls and juice on the opening weekend is a joke and it continued to get worse. The other party at the table were also amazed of the horrible service we were all given. The bill came and I was charged for a scorpion bowl for 2. I told the waiter that what he gave us didn't even match up to a regular scorpion bowl. He insisted that it did and that I was wrong. He continued to argue with me that it was right so I asked to see the manager. The waiter stood there and didn't want to go get him so I had to tell him a couple times to bring him over. A couple minutes later, the manager showed up and insisted that what I was charged for was right. I showed him the two small cups and It was so obvious they were wrong. He continued to argue and insist that I was wrong and after a couple minutes of going back and forth rudely said "what can I do to make this fair?" I told him once again exactly what the problem was and he said he would charge me for one instead. While walking out, he approached me and started to argue again about how two small cups equals a scorpion bowl for 2. I told him that this was the worst service I have ever had and that he is a manager and I shouldn't have had to argue with him for 5 minutes about something that was so obvious. He was rude and had absolutely no customer service experience. I have been to quite a few hibachis and this was by far the worst yet. They need to revamp everything starting with the management if they expect to be successful. I will not recommend this place to anyone and if I could give it a negative star I definitely would.

Came here for half priced sushi-super deceiving. Only a few rolls are 1/2 price.. They aren't upfront about it. You can't post 1/2 and then tell people that it's not offered on all rolls. It didn't say it on the menu. That's fine. I'll pay it without complaint, but I won't go back.

The food was fairly decent but we got the worse service ever. When I called to make the reservations, the person that answered the phone rudely said, are you going to be here on time. We were but they made us wait 50 minutes. The management was useless. Someone came & took 1/3 of the drink order. Another person came and took it again. We got duplicate orders, some drinks never came. We asked for water and never got it. And the waitress never came around. We were eating & had nothing to drink! I went to the bar to get something. They over charged us on drinks, charged us for drinks never ordered. We got someone else bill. They got one of our drinks on their bill. We asked for a separate bill and she didn't give us one. We never got to choose noodles. The cooking experience was hurried. They messed up the tab on the credit card machine. They lied TWICE to us. 1st we are setting your table and then 20 minutes later. We are cleaning your table now. We almost left because of the wait and should have. Oh and I forgot. The prep chef came out of the kitchen got in a fight with one of the waitresses. In Japanese.

First time last time for me. We had 6:30 reservations on Saturday night party of 7. We were all there on time didn't get seated till after 7. They kept telling us we were next but others were seated before us. When we were finally seated they try to make us get up, they said they seated wrong party!!! Waitress was very slow!!! Had to ask for water 4 times!! We ordered California rolls which came as the chef was starting to put food on my plate. I ordered the steak and shrimp Chef forgot the shrimp I had to ask for it I got it after everything else was cooked. Another party at the table never got her steak!!! I think someone from management should have at least come to table and apologize for the mistakes My steak was tasteless fatty and chewy, Best part of the meal was the California roll everything else was sort of bland. Then they added the gratuity which is illegal to do in Mass .Seems to me all they want to do is get people in and out. Very disappointed in Saga.

We live in Foxboro and went to Saga to try something different. It was awful. We waited 25 minutes just for our cocktails. The waiter explained that two servers had quit that week. Food was soso. Not hot enough. The soup seemed like a bowl of salty broth. Hopefully the sushi is better.

There is a good reason why everyone is getting bad service. This is my personal experience in this restaurant. The owner of Saga takes a huge tip out from the servers and uses it to pay the kitchen staff. The bartenders who are supposed to be ones who are tipped out, bust their hump making signature cocktails all night for the servers get nothing! The owner says this is the bartenders tip to the kitchen. I've worked in numerous restaurants and never seen anything like it. The restaurant sales are supposed to pay the cooks, not the servers and bartenders. But this results in the service bartender who makes $3 an hour base salary getting paid only that. Then the other bartender has to split the bar tips with the service bartender who contributes nothing to the till. Long story short, Saga is owned and run by the cheapest people in America and cannot keep good help. The help they do have are completely miserable knowing that their boss is stealing their money.

We went with a group of 4 for a birthday and had a wonderful time. I ordered the steak and scallops, others in the group ordered chicken and shrimp for the hibachi. The food was great but we did wait a while. They tend to seat you then wait for the table to fill up before they start cooking. They did bring us over a round of free shots since it was our friends birthday. The service was great and the staff really make it a fun experience. If you go with a quiet crowd, it can be more difficult for them to make the experience as fun. I plan on going again, I really enjoyed it.

I would give it a higher rating but I had many difficulties with my reservation. I made a reservation for 13 people earlier in the week for a Saturday night. My friend called to add someone on to the party and she was told someone called and instead of 13 its now for 11. I had to call back and tell them to add the other 2 back on as that was incorrect. I showed up early to check in and the lady said we had general dining which was wrong I specified hibachi. The lady continued to tell me I was wrong. We got some drinks at the bar and waiting and around 8pm the hostess came over to tell us there is a very long wait for Hibachi and we would have to do general seating. We asked how long was very long she said 20 min. We agreed to wait for Hibachi. An hour passes and we are still not seated and were told a manager would come over to us since we waited a long time. The manager finally comes over and we are seated. Their way of dealing with long waits is giving us too much Sake. The food was good but I will not be going back anytime soon as Sake in Mansfield has excellent food and never screwed up a reservation.

My husband and I made plans to meet another couple for dinner. We made 8pm reservations. We promptly arrived at 8pm. We had to wait in a MASSIVE group of people. While waiting to approach the hostess station, I immediately observed disarray, confusion and screaming from the hostesses. I finally made my way and explained that I had an 8 pm reservation. The girl said "ok let me see how long it will be," Service continued down hill from there. We met a lady at the bar than ranted for 20 minutes about what a terrible experience she just had so we were prepared. The hostess continued to scream random numbers at the crowd and I had to approach her again and remind her that we had reservations and were waiting to be seated. We were finally seated at 8:20 pm. We did not see a waiter until I asked a bus boy to get him. Then two different waiters came over at different times. Clearly very disorganized. Our waiter spoke broken English and did not understand our requests. We asked if we could order and he said "yes" and walked away. It took 20 minutes to get a drink after you ordered it. The sushi that finally arrived was good but I will NEVER EVER go back. The entire experience was an exercise in patience. I would not recommend that anyone go there. There are plenty of great sushi places with excellent service that will provide an enjoyable night out. Do not waste your time or money. This place was a bust! They get one star for edible food.

We started at the bar with a drink. The bartender made a killer margarita. It was delicious. We got hibachi! My boyfriend got the steak and scallop combo and I got the scallop and shrimp combo. Our chef was really funny and silly. He did the typical stuff. The noodles though were AMAZING. So was the soup that comes with it. I was pleasantly surprised. The scallops were HUGE. It was awesome! By the time, we got all out our food, I was full! I had plenty of leftovers to take home with me! I can't wait to come back and try their sushi!

Called in to order, and the hostess took another call without notice in the middle of my order. - Walked in a few minutes later to order takeout, & it was some of the most mediocre sushi I've ever had. To top it off, when I asked for condiments, I was treated as if I was asking for half of her paycheck. I'm VERY surprised this restaurant is still standing. Worst service for sushi in the area, point blank.

Sushi was sushi. What is one thing we all go to restaurants like Saga for? The booze! The Mai Tai ordered was weak, weak, weak. Brown orange juice is I guess their version of this cocktail, topped with cherries I watched the bartenders munching on all night with their bare hands. That's another thing: don't eat behind the bar. C'mon man. Don't jam on onion rings and lick your fingers while you cart out prepaid orange/brown scorpion bowl slop to unwitting patrons with those same digits bobbing in and out. That is...bogus.

Tough to review actually, just looking at the "stars" isn't going to do it. Nothing about this place was simple. The food was fine, not exceptional, but also not objectionable. Just fine. The Gyoza Soup, a version of "Wonton Soup" with Gyoza style pork dumpling, Bok Choy and bean sprouts in a Chicken and soy broth was a bit saltier than ideal. The Edamame were steamed a bit too long, leaving them a bit to soft and wet, but still serviceable. The Shumai a bit too squishy, and the California Roll a bit too dull. The Rocking Volcano roll on the other hand, really quite good. This I'd order again. Tempura battered and fried, the crisp coated Nori holds inside "White Tuna", imitation Crab, avocado and rice. This, topped with a dash of Habenero pepper sauce, a nice quick hot bite. Just don't eat too many of them, because that "White Tuna" is probably Escolar. Tasty though. During service, the earnest and well meaning staff just couldn't get out of their own way. Understaffed and over-tasked, they also seem burdened by a lack of systematic planning. But, continued to stay as nice and pleasant as can be. As an example, it does not seem that bar food orders (where we sat) have a table designation. So the bartender, who also does food service, needed to check each bar check (in a glass in front of each patron) to get the right dish to the right guest. It also seems that everyone, regardless of how busy the restaurant is, gets a seating estimate of 15 minutes for a Hibachi table. The wait for some was an hour. A little bit good, a little bit not.

We went for half-priced sushi on a Monday and our waitress was incredibly rude. The food was good and came quickly but this was overshadowed by the bad attitude of the wait staff. This is not the first time I have felt as though my presence was not welcomed at this restaurant. Again, the food was tasty but not worth putting up with a rude and condescending wait staff.
(1)
Kayla O.
Hibachi guy was great. Waitress was not mindful of food allergies. Manager was rude. Waitress barely understood our orders and told us they did not have several foods and beverages (when we checked with others they did indeed have everything we asked for) Awful awful service. There are so many other great places to go to in Patriot Place. Highly do not recommend.

The Volcano roll is impeccable. The edamame qas great. The drinks are special. I cant remember if the bartenders name was Josh or John but that man is epic. Great man, great service, sweet location. Ive been here twice and i will certainly bring a group of girls to drink, dine and wind down anytime. Keep it classy Saga!

Lots of places around to eat sushi. Saga is right in the middle of the pack. Fine service, fine food and fine atmosphere (but, really, most of these new places are all starting to look alike). I liked the Mexican roll and Alaskan Roll. Two in our party got the Nabe Yaki Udon noodles and both were sufficiently full from the serving size (but neither were talking it up afterwards). Located in Patriots Place, I recommending parking behind the Renaissance Hotel if you don't want to go shopping beforehand or afterwards.

We went on a quiet night so the service was fast and courteous. The food is very average, in line with my expectations of a "mall" sushi place. I had the saga maki which includes dragon roll, spider roll and rainbow roll.. Taste decent but a little too much rice. I think next time I will stay with simple noodle dishes or hibachi, sushi is not their thing nor cocktails. A lot of juice not so much cocktail.

Came in on a Saturday night around 7pm, my friend and I sat at the bar. This was possibly the worst service I have ever received. The bar was not completely full, but it took a few mins to get drink menus, and another 5 or so to order. The bartenders looked very disorganized. We ordered appetizers- one came out in about 35 mins, the second took about an hour. There is ZERO change of being over served here. Getting a second drink order in took about 10 minutes, and then I had to ask another person for it 5 minutes after that! 4 or 5 other people complained about the service while we were there. The people next to us received their sushi appetizers AFTER their entrees. Another couple had to come to the bar from their bar table to get service. I've been in the restaurant industry for 13 years, so I know sometimes things just don't go right, but this was crazy. Def wouldn't come back here, unless some changes were made.

The food at saga was pretty good, the drinks were Ok, the Hibachi Chef was great, but we had TERRIBLE service. One of our party had a seafood allergy so she had to have her food cooked in the kitchen and not on the Hibachi. However, the food took over 20 minutes to come out of the kitchen!!! Everyone was done with their dinner by the time this person got her food. All we got was an apology and that was it. No compensation of any other kind! Ridiculous! At any other restaurant we would've had the meal comped or at least got a free appetizer. The restaurant was pretty full, since there was a Revs game, so I guess they don't care about losing 8 customers.

We went on a very busy night and chose Saga because it was honestly the only place without a line out the door and now I know why. Server and staff was very nice but definitely over whelmed by the crowd, we were missing things from our meal and were never checked on to see if we liked our meal (we didn't.) Food was just blah, my husband and I split a sushi roll and hibachi plate. The sushi was not very fresh tasting and the hibachi didn't have much flavor. We will not be going back.

Nice food awesome drinks. Great place for a birthday!! The bartender made me a custom drink using Stoll peach. Delicious! I had the sushi appetizer called sex salmon - if you like sushi it is a must try. The hibachi was a lot of fun. We were four couples and the chef had each couple do the "Lady and the tramp" thing and he also did a lot of the typical tricks. All in all in was a great evening that I would recommend to any who doesn't hate fun.

We ate there after the MLS Eastern Conference Championship game between New York Red Bulls and New England Revolution. The game was great, but the service was AWFUL!! The server looked disinterested and would throw the plates, utensils and items onto the table. It's fortunate the plates were plastic. We noted he did this to the other tables surrounding us. He never refilled our glasses and never checked on us after delivering our food. The food was so unauthentic; the nabe yaki udon was a bowlful of imitation crab, and celery... We've never seen celery in an udon bowl before. The tonkatsu was an ungarnished plate of fried pork cutlet with a a minuscule amount of sauce. We also ordered the Patriot roll which wasn't entirely horrible; typical American style rolls that seem trendy in Japanese restaurants these days. We had be beg for hot water for tea. When I was able to flag down the busser for hot water he didn't come back to pour it, he brought another cup of plain hot water. Premium priced for lousy service and food.

Favorite place in the area for awesome sushi! Read many reviews on bad service but I haven't had a bad waiter or waitress. I go almost every Monday. It's beautiful inside but you can still dress super casual. A+ to Saga

15 minutes is an hour over here. We waited on a saturday night. Kept telling us it would be soon whenever we were about to leave. Finally tried to give us a 5 person spot for our 7 person party. We left for somewhere else. Not down with this place.

Mediocre. I stopped in here because of all the hype that has surrounded this place, that's about all it is. The service stinks and the food is average.

I blame myself not looking up the reviews before stepping into this place. Quiet as a grave yard with mushie, gray, flavorless fish. Free appetizer of "white tuna" given on the house to myself and the only other couple in the place. And incase you were scratching your head in wonder, yes white tuna is that mysterious fish also known as Escolar known for its wonderful stomach ripping laxative qualities. Never again. I only hope I can make it through the night without being sick.... Not likely.

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. Our waiter was really nice and our chef was entertaining. We get hibachi a lot and this was wonderful for date night. Friendly servers and hot food. The family we ate with was super nice as well.

Delicious! Got hibachi here yesterday. The service was quick and the food was really good. The chef had a great sense of humor and was very skilled. We ordered steak & scallops and an order of just steak. The salad and soup came with the meal. Additionally, we received noodles AND fried rice. The steak (cooked medium rare) was perfect! Great meal!

My friends and I only went here because this was one of the sit in places that didn't have that long of a line on a concert day. We got hibachi and the food was decent but it lacked a lot. We only went there because I had a groupon but I wasn't able to use it because it was a concert day. (It wasn't in the fine print, only on a piece of paper taped on the front door). I only bought the groupon for that day and I still haven't used it. Probably won't be going back there.

This was one of the worst dinners I have had in recent memory. The waiter failed to deliver one of our sushi rolls and one of our drinks, and when our food did arrive, it was pretty terrible. "Teriyaki chicken" was basically a chicken breast, unflavored, with a glob of sugary sauce on top. The fried rice had rice and egg with some sad-looking chicken on top. No veggies, no garnish, nothing. I would expect better from a corner takeout joint - and there we wouldn't have paid $20 per person. Will not return.

One of my favorite hibachi and sushi restaurants! Great food, great atmosphere and great drinks. Only draw back is because of the commercial area (Patriots Place), it gets super crowded at times. But still worth the wait!

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Did not have our table ready for over 35 minutes after our scheduled reservation. Waitress took 40 minutes to deliver first round of drinks, no joke, no exaggeration. Ordered from the bar for the rest of the night, which was a pain in the butt. Our sushi and salad "appetizers" did not arrive before the Hibachi Chef began cooking. After dinner, waitress refused to take off the menu, saying the food was already prepared and she would bring to us immediately (which was 15 minutes later). management agreed, and offered nothing in response to our complaints regarding the absolutely horrific service. Trust the reviews you read here. I should have. This place will be out of business very soon with current management.

Ate at the hibachi. Overall we had a great experience. The foxy lady roll was amazing. Scorpion bowls were good, but not as strong as other places. Portions were plentiful. My only complaint was the lack of "saki squirting" during dinner. Most hibachi restaurants do this, but it was absent at our table tonight. It could be because there were several children at our table. None the less, we will be back!

Went in this with an open mind, disregarding the previous reviews written. Overall experience wasn't too terrible. Yes the service stunk: we weren't asked how our food was / offered drink refils / was given a hard time about sitting at the hibachi area because not all of us were getting hibachi. BUT after trying to use the groupon we had, he told us we couldn't use it (because sushi doesnt count as an entree??) we asked to talk to the manager. The manager had NO problem pointing out how we were wrong and read us the fine print. The waiter apologized and said how he hated the place and how he wants to quit, and that this happens all the time. I really do feel bad because they probably dont treat their employees right and it just all resonates from bad management. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the food was good! Really all this place needs is a better management staff , happier employees and they could turn all these reviews around in a heartbeat.

Food was excellent. Came here on Monday which happened to be half price sushi night. The sushi was high quality and the service was also. Brittany and Rachel were our bartenders....and they made it a very pleasant experience. Never waited for food or a drink. So get yourselves here and I guarantee the same experience.

Laughable. Took 45 minutes and complaints and still the food didn't show. (They finally told me it'll be another ten minutes, which means they hadn't even started yet.). Simple fried rice and udon noodles and this is after mentioning we wanted it quickly. Saw other tables who sat after us getting the same dish before us. Obviously their mistake, but they never admitted it. Awful awful awful. I told them I now wanted it to go (why order more and my kids were melting down), and the manager (who took forever and multiple requests to come by) gave me a $4.10 discount, i.e. 10% off. Are you kidding me. She said that's the best she can do. Awful experience for an expensive take-out with one hour wait. Never again; stay away. Edit: The food was actually good, albeit I ordered very simple dishes. It may just have been because I was starving but I did enjoy it at home. Edit 2: I just read the others' reviews. Pretty much consistent with what I experienced. Horrible service but OK food. This place really needs to read these Yelp reviews.

I come this place first time even I read the other bad review, the hibachi chef is funny,my son love the show what the hibachi chef play the tool in front of us, the service so quickly after we just make the drink order one minute,we order sushi too,.red lobster roll(tempura lobster inside, topped fresh tuna) so yummy, also we catch the green veg what the hibachi chef play the game with us,a lot laughing,in the end they do service the birthday cake(tempura ice cream) with music candle,we love this place!!!

Not sure why all the poor reviews for this place. Could be that people are trying to go here before a Patriots game or eating in the dining room portion? Go figure, one review complained about poor service before a game? I mean come on people, what do you expect. This place sits within Patriots Place, home to several restaurants, across from Red Robin. I went here on a busy Saturday night and the service was friendly and actually exceptional. The place is crowded and holds a good amount of people. Food was very good similar to other Hibachi restaurants I have eaten at and price was right. Not sure why someone would complain about service in this place. Three hostesses seating people, plenty of waitstaff and plenty of cooks and no wait time on a Saturday? Give the place a break people. If you are reading this, glance over at how many reviews I have written about restaurants and do a comparison to the other reviewers of this place. You will quickly realize I know what I am talking about and I am usually highly critical of service in a place. This service was some of the best I have had in any Hibachi restaurant beginning to end. Do yourself a favor and stop in to this place and give it a try. I will be back and will recommend it!

(1)Scott T.

(5)Beth P.
(1)Katie J.

(5)Danielle A.

Bartenders are on point!! Rachel is amazing, she makes the most bad ass Hendricks and lemonade, with her own lemonade!!! Go there, sit at the bar, and you won't be disappointed!!
(5)Amanda V.
Rachel makes the greatest Hendricks and lemonade I have ever had! Their bar team is amazing!!! Great props to them and all they do!

(1)Chrissy K.

(1)Natalie W.

(1)Fernanda K.
Not coming back. Food is not outstanding, and neither is the service. Go, Patriots Place, go!
(2)Melissa K.
This was hands down the worst hibachi experience I've had. The service was mediocre at best. The staff was disinterested and lacked any level of enthusiasm for what they were doing. The food was salty, flavorless, and over cooked. The bathroom made me gag. Location was convenient.
(2)Jeffrey D.
Place is crap.. They don't honor their Amazon marketplace coupons. Completely false advertising. I tried it regardless and vomited all night long (all night)
(1)Sheila B.
(2)Meghan T.
Worst. Service. Ever. I have to admit the food wasn't terrible, but the service is painful. Just got served two desserts with plastic spoons. WTF.
(1)Caroline J.

(4)Odin B.
(3)Allison M.
Great service, great food, hibachi was amazing and Saki was everywhere! Very entertaining! Will definitely go back.
(4)Jill C.
(1)Annie D.
(2)Sarah R.
Absolutely horrible service, every single employee was rude, food was ok. I will never be returning. This place should be shut down.
(1)Jennifer C.
(5)Marie C.
(1)Daddy G.
(1)Alice R.

(1)Sarah R.
(3)Stephen B.
This is a terrible restaurant ! We waited over an hour for our pre booked table ... The food was half cooked. The waitress got most of the orders wrong and they crammed more people around the hibachi table than it could handle.. The plates were dirty . Avoid this place
(1)Rachel D.

I went to Saga for dinner on a Sunday around 5:30. The Restaurant was almost empty. We went looking for something different. Even though reviews weren't the best we were willing to give it a shot. We ordered a Crab roll and California roll with tuna and salmon for an app. Both were pretty good. We also ordered entrées. I had a chicken and steak combo with fried rice. The steak was cold, not cool but cold. The chicken was hot. I don't usually send food back but did this time. All of my food was over salted. Portion size was good though. My wife had Shrimp with noodles. Her food was also over salted. She wished there had been more shrimp. She also had a plum wine which she enjoyed. The staff was very apologetic about my food and offered to replace the entire entrée. I just wanted the steak heated up. No offer to take anything off of the bill. I would not go back for dinner but might give the Sushi bar another shot.

(1)Jessica K.
(1)Criss R.

(2)Elizabeth L.
We live in Foxboro and went to Saga to try something different. It was awful. We waited 25 minutes just for our cocktails. The waiter explained that two servers had quit that week. Food was soso. Not hot enough. The soup seemed like a bowl of salty broth. Hopefully the sushi is better.
(1)dave m.
(1)Kayla C.
(4)Mandy P.
(2)Kara H.
(1)Laurie B.
(5)Gabriela P.
(1)Joshua R.

(2)Cathleen G.

Tried out this hibachi for lunch today. The chef was awesome, and did a great job with keeping us entertained. The food was quite delicious. Will definitely return.

I was surprised by the negative reviews. I've been a couple of times for lunch and the food was great! I'd go again.
