Why 5 stars? Two words, customer service! Absolutely fantastic customer service in this place. Everyone from the hosts to the servers to the bus people are so helpful and friendly! At one point our server actually came over and brought my wife a new soda because "hers looked like it was watery" I mean really?! I have never see that anywhere! That's awesome! Great job! Oh yeah the food is really delicious too lol. I had the baked scrod entree and my wife had the pasta frutti di mare and both were absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked, came out piping hot and so good. We also had the clams casino and it was so freaking good! (We're from NJ so MA seafood is just better anyway but it was really good) Overall, really really well done. Great job at this place. Very very happy. DISCLAIMER: price is a bit over the top, they charged me $9 for a side of pasta which is pretty ridiculous. Thank you!

First of all the reason I give this restaurant two stars is because the service and drinks were great. My boyfriend and I went to skipjacks because we wanted oysters. Knowing that skipjacks has "fresh" seafood we thought we should give it a try, worst decision. We started with the oysters and they were terrible. Then we ordered and got our meals in which were gross and had no flavor. Feeling very unsatisfied and letdown we got our check and YUCK. The prices were WAY to high for the lack of quality. We will most likely never be going back to skipjacks.

Expensive for the level of food and service. Waiter didn't know the menu seemed inexperienced, disappeared for long stretches. Surf and turf was under seasoned over cooked the cut of steak was not of high quality the shrimp was tough and not seasoned. Bland. Baked lobster was expensive given how cheap retail lobster is right now. But I know it's lobster and shouldn't expect low prices, but again for the price very underwhelming. And it seemed that they took the tail meat out- maybe the tail mets is supposed to be in the stuffing, but didn't seem like it. Just a poor effort.

Okay, so full disclosure: I'm a bit of a Skipjack's regular. My family is obsessed with half price sushi night on Wednesdays. (You have to sit in the bar area, and only the basic rolls are half price, but they're literally AMAZING.) My favorite item on the regular dinner menu is the sea bass- it's always cooked perfectly and the veggies it comes with are reallllly good. The service is always attentive and totally on point, too. Pete, the manager, is a GREAT guy, and really goes out of his way to make every customer feel special. However, there are two reasons- I'm going to call them "hidden gems"- that finally drove me to write a review after about a million times dining here. 1. They have a killer Sunday brunch. We happened to come for Fathers' Day, and the brunch menu was great! I got the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and it was a party in my mouth. Also, they offer a $1 mimosa or Bloody Mary with your meal, which was a pretty fabulous surprise. Best of all, the prices of the brunch items are SO MUCH CHEAPER than dinner! 2. Now, last, but the literal opposite of least, I have two words for you. APPLE. CRISP. I usually don't even LIKE apple crisp, but they staff was kind enough to bring a complimentary one over to our table one night, and I am not exaggerating, it's downright magical. I don't know what kind of dessert-crack they are putting in these things, but I legit dreamed about it for like 2 days after I had it. It's one of the best desserts I've ever had, anywhere. So, if you're feeling in the mood to "treat yo self," go to half priced sushi night, and then splurge on an apple crisp. I dare you not to cry about its brilliance.

Food was average. Portions were small. Food was pricey. Service was average. I don't recommend this restaurant.

The best fish I've tasted in the area. Perfectly cooked seafood. The menu is similar to most New England seafood spots with subtle differences in sauces and toppings that make all the difference. Their sushi matches most of the local Japanese basic sushi menus. The real reason to go here is a piece of fish that is lightly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Many thanks to the chefs here. The service is above average. The hostess/hosts' are exceptional. The serving staff is attentive and the best by far in Foxboro. My only critique is that there is a lack of an exciting daily special menu that might entice a regular diner to return more often for a chance to try a unique dish. There is a menu item labeled as "Chef's choice," but our server didn't offer any details Better than Legal in Dedham (on par with the Boston flagship Legal) better than Summer Shack, and certainly better than any seafood plate available at Pat's place.

It is really pretty easy for a restaurant charging what Skipjack's does to make decent food. Basically just don't screw it up. Out food was all blah. I ordered the pasta and seafood dish and im willing to bet all the seafood had been frozen. The strangest thing was that the mussels, which are probably the cheapest part, weren't local. My wife ordered a green goddess salad which was literally a pile of Boston lettuce. How does this place stay open?

After a long day of working we decided to visit patriots place. After all they did win the last Super Bowl, had to see Gillette stadium. After raving reviews from skipjacks I decided I needed to try some northeast fresh seafood. I ordered the seafood minestrone to start with, had a variety of fresh sea food in a lobster tomato broth. All I can really say: DELICIOUS. But beware it is not a small portion, it's a large bowl of soup I could have had that for an entree an been happy. for my entree I ordered the chefs special of tuna steak with noodles - it was a decent plate not the best tuna I've had before. I think it was do to the oversize of the it I received. The noodles were delicious yet painfully spicy wish I had a warning. No one mentioned the spice to me.

First trip to area and our generous hosts made reservations here as we couldn't get into Legal Seafoods. Great fresh appetizer Extravaganza. Really good quality. I had the Lobster which I haven't eaten often. Meh. Pretty pricey but high quality it seems. What do I know, I live in Minnesota...

Really thought the food was pretty average. Maybe I shouldn't picked sashimi here... It was underwhelming. The Dan Dan dumplings and calamari were much better. Service also a bit on the slow side...

High-end, the place is legit. My girl friend said hands down it's the best salad she has ever tasted. My dish was amazing, the ribs she had were very well made. This place deserves 6 stars, if I lived in Mass or RI I would probably be a regular. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

My husband and I spent a couple of hours at Bass Pro looking at boats and fishing rods so we were in the mood for seafood. We ended up at Skipjack's Seafood Restaurant, Patriot Place. We asked for a table outside under the awning because a sun shower was passing through and we were seated immediately and greeted by our server. I asked if they served Lime Rickeys, they didn't, but our server made us two of the best ones we have ever had! My husband ordered a fried oyster roll and could not stop commenting on how tasty it was. I ordered the Baja Fish Taco (Mahi Mahi) and I could not stop talking about how yummy mine was. We were both trying to get each other to taste our delicious meals. As we were leaving, the manager stopped by our table to ask how our lunch was going and I told him the food was delicious and the server was superior!

This is a mixed review because it truly was a mixture of great and meh. We took the grandmothers there for a Sunday Brunch and there was a nice jazz trio playing when we arrived- the atmosphere feels like a good special occasion place. The waitress was super attentive and lovely with any request. We tested out the beignets which were basically dollops of fried dough- nothing special. The coffee drinkers said the coffee was nothing special. Those who ordered Eggs Benedict and Skipjack Egg ( Eggs Benedict with crab cakes) said the poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the crab cakes were chockfull of crab. The servings were generous and the prices for brunch were reasonable- $15ish. My order was meh- it was Heuvos Ranchero and all the parts tasted dried out as if they were precooked and assembled later. The sauces were just ok- not terribly homemade tasting. It wouldn't keep me from trying again- I just don't recommend that order. One guest ordered spaghetti with seafood and it looked delicious, full of mussels, calamari, clams, shrimp and fish. I think next timeI will stick to what they specialize in- seafood.

Have been to skip Jacks plenty, was our favorite local brunch spot. However last week we had dinner. We ordered cherry stones then dinner. By the time dinner came my husband had to leave do to acute belly pain. We had to leave, pack our food, leave our drinks. My husband was vomiting and shaking by the time we made the three mile home. My husband has a chronic illness so any infection could cause a hospital visit. Called to tell them, spoke to the manager on duty. Nice enough, then the general manager called left a message and never spoke to us. Fine... Then I received a 25 dollar gift card in the mail, our drinks we left costs more than that, the food we threw out cause we couldn't eat. Never an apology. All done now....

This is a favorite for our family. The service is ALWAYS excellent, and the quality of the food is consistently great. Management comes to the table to ensure that both continue. We found this place late one Friday night when we ad gone to a play and wondered where we could go where the kitchen would still be open. Since then, we have been regulars. The prices reflect the quality, but you get what you pay for. Another plus is that there are several televisions in the bar area, and occasionally you might run into Gronk or another Patriot.

The 2 stars are only because the service was good. The food was very bland and overpriced. I had fried oysters that were not even close to fresh. Also tried the clams casino which were loaded with very dry panko bread crumbs that were not even browned, there was little to no prosciutto or vegetable in evidence on the plate. An overpriced disappointment.

We chose this place because we really wanted to sit on a patio but I wasn't in the mood for Bar Louie. I'm really glad we went here! I didn't love the seating because the outdoor chairs were plastic and the table was low but that's not really a big deal. We ordered delicious drinks and they brought out WONDERFUL bread. Seriously, that bread.. Anyway, I got a cup of clam chowder and the mahi mahi tacos. Both were very flavorful and lived up to my expectations. The tacos especially! Super tasty. The prices are a bit high but I felt like the food was mostly worth it. Also, service was totally fine. I see that some people had trouble with it but our waiter was very attentive and really nice. Overall, good experience and good food!

Stopped in for lunch based on coworker's recommendations. Service was friendly & attentive. Seafood minestrone! Don't let the price steer you away. It is worth every penny! Absolutely delicious. Bento Box was just the right amount of each item. Will return and definitely would recommend this place.

My three daughters and I chose to eat here simply because there was no line out the door like many of the dining establishments prior to the One Direction concert. But we had a very nice dinner with good service, without any annoying crowds or waiting in line. And yeah, it felt like the prices were a little jacked up, but that's probably the case everywhere in Patriot Place...you're a captive audience so you're going to pay a bit more.

It was pretty good but... We went there for a business group meeting and the food was excellent. The service was pretty good but we had a hard time getting our beverages. They did not offer a price list for the wine (we should have asked) we ordered and we were shocked at the price they charged for the 1/2 carafe of chardonnay. It was more than we pay at other fine restaurants for a full bottle of similar wine. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon.

This place is garbage. They show one game on the tv that people are watching, then they change the game when one new customer requests the change, then don't change back when customers who were already here ask for them to change it back. That's totally crappy service by their management team. I really wanted to walk out and not pay the bill, but it's not the waiters fault and wanted to make sure we didn't get her in trouble.

I have been to Skipjacks at least 10 times. I have enjoyed most of those visits, but last night will most likely be my last visit. The service has always been friendly and attentive. It was again last night. My server was great. The food left me disappointed. I have ordered the fish tacos on at least 50% of my visits. The food was bland. The serving size has decreased and the new side of potato chips was incredibly boring. My $40 check for two tacos, potato chips and a glass and a half of wine without tip was not at all what I desired or expected.

Quite possibly the worst service in Foxboro. I'd been here before and expected the great service and meal as the first time. I went out of my way to come back here and sorry I did. It was a business lunch and I needed to get out in a reasonable time. They were busy so I didn't get seated immediately and actually was not even noticed until we asked for a table. They put us in a corner of the bar, and that helper that seated us said he would come back to help us. After a long wait, I asked a bar helper to flag a waiter so they apologized and said they would send someone. Finally got help. I will admit, I liked the meal. But at these prices I will never come back to be neglected.

Great brunch, great jazz group, good service, but a long wait for food. I had the Egg's Skipjack's, which is a crabcake benedict. The crabcakes were absolutely perfect, the mustard/hollandaise sauce was excellent, but the english muffins and yukon potatoes were a little overdone. Minor issues compared with a very long (30 min) wait for the food. I think this was an isolated incident, so 4 stars instead of 5.

Excellent service-check. Nice atmosphere-check. Scurmptious food -check ,check, check! There is a Skipjacks way to make salmon, and then there's everything else. I don't ever want to eat salmon again unless it comes from here, done "their way". (Ok I'm being dramatic.. but it is the BEST BEST BEST darn salmon I have ever had.) I have seafood often - we literally get it "off the boat" in Galilee so I sorta know what I'm talking about. This fish is the amazing, delicious, dreaming about it kind of food that keeps you wnating more. I will be back....soon!

Staying in Norwood, MA I asked the hotel clerk for a good seafood restaurant. Nothing local came up on yelp, so I went with her reco to try Skip Jacks. I didn't realize it was a commercial setting in an outdoor mall with higher than average prices. if I knew that I would have opted elsewhere. The bread they served was awesome. The salad I had was fine, and the broiled seafood dish I had had a lot of garlic, oil and breadcrumbs on it. It was good, but I had to push most of the breadcrumb stuff aside. It was fine, just expensive b/c of the setting and would't be a place I would send folks to.

Have been going to Skipjacks for years. The menu was the same as last week as it was in 2010. Shrimp cocktail has been consistently bad so I haven't ordered it in about 3 years. My wife says the sushi is excellent and that is why we go there. The best part of the meal is the chopped salad. I've never had a better one. The seafood can't compare to Legal Seafoods. I'd like to see Legal come into Patriot's Place. Two Skipjacks have closed so far. The third and final one will hopefully close this year. Too bad but it seems it was neglected by the owner.

I enjoyed a meal at the Foxboro location and wanted to give my parent s the same experience for a Christmas present. I went online to order a $100 gift certificate to be mailed to their house. I tried four or five times and each time I hit the check out button the site would crash so I called the restaurant directly. The man who answered the phone told me that "we don't do that over the phone, you'll have to come into the store." I said, "I live in New York I don't think I can do that." No reply. Really? You just lost your employer $100 dollars. You couldn't even ask for the manager? Sooo...sending Mom and Dad to Legal Seafoods! At least I know from having waited tables there that the management bends over backwards for their patrons.

Nice atmosphere. The food was so so. I expected more form a seafood place in the Boston area. The staff was friendly and attentive. Patriot Place is ridiculous to navigate. The only reason I would go back is the same reason I went there in the first place: A customer suggested it.

Great menu, service, selection. Wedge salad is wonderful. Crab cake hits the spot and well presented. Drinks are good and balanced with cost. Key lime dessert is amazing! Ask for it with added fruits on the side!

Ambiance not nice - noisy and lots of TVs. In fact one of the TVs is projected on a wall and the light changes from the TV make for an annoying experience. Some of the tables are right in front of the doors to the kitchen. Food is just OK and small portion. I've had much better fish at Legal. The prices are for a fine dining experience and this was not.

I like seafood. I especially like seafood when I'm out to dinner. Nothing beats fresh fish on a New England summer evening. However, I struggle with the standard cookiecutter fish house menu: Some fried items; a section of the menu where you pick the fish, sides and how its cooked; and some house specialties which are the same whether your here or at other seafood restaurant chains. If I'm out to dinner, it's because I don't want to think about how to season my food and with which sides it should be paired. This is one of the biggest downsides to this restaurant. I'm sure there's a chef in that kitchen who is killing to be creative... My wife and I ate here on a Saturday night with friends. We were quickly seated for our 8 pm reservation, at which point we learned that they were already out of their evening special. Bummer. Calamari was crisp, well cooked. My seafood pasta was tasy. The lobster sauce was well seasoned and thick enough to beautifully coat the pasta. My wife's grilled arctic char lacked seasoning and the fresh veggies could have come out of a Bird's Eye Steamed Vegetables bag. Service was decent. Not a terrible experience, but not incredible. There are lots of options in the Patriot Place area, including a local establishment just down the road well known for their fried fish platters...just saying.

I wasn't sure what to expect but i was really surprised how good this place was. Spicy Tuna roll was great! Seafood Minestrone soup was good. Swordfish was cooked perfectly and came with delicious teriyaki snap peas and white potatoes which had a really great flavor. My sister had the lobster roll and thought it was great. Worth coming here for sure.

Skipjack's was a great place to get a taste of the local fare! Their fried clams were spot on, their oysters were delish (although i found it odd that they didn't have saltine-type crackers) The location was great, the service was AWESOME (Jen was our waitress) The prices were good. We got to enjoy a lovely fall night sitting outside. It's a fun people watching location as well. I'm a fan!

Went this past Sunday. They set up plastic chairs and tables and stick us in the mouth of the restroom entrance. People were climbing over us getting out of the bathroom. We left out the front door and they refused to let my wife to double back in when she realized she needed to use the restroom (even showed them my receipt). They got our $100 and threw us to the street. We left with a very bad taste in our mouths. I hope they don't treat everyone like they vaporized once you pay the check.

What to do when you've seen everything at Bass Pro and have a few hours to kill. Ah, I'll have lunch at Skipjack's. Sat at the sushi bar. Ordered up some cold sake, hamachi sashimi and the Black Dragon roll. Good service, although it's weird that the waitress has to take my sushi order, go to the computer to enter it and then the dude in front of me turns around 30 seconds later to pick it up. But it's not a traditional sushi place so I'm not going to take points off for that. Fish was good, the black dragon was tasty. Hamachi was really not sliced in a way that I would expect. Sashimi is best when sliced with the bias and rather thin. They gave me a nice portion but it was cut straight up and down and didn't do anything for the fish. OK place but typical of the knock offs at PP.

I eat out 3-4 times a week, this place gets high marks. I thought the name indicated a low end place but after yelping it I decided to give it a try. Let me preface this review by saying I'm a picky diner. My date and I heard good things on yelp about a waiter, Matt, from Skip Jack's... guess who we got as a waiter... The Matt. First off, we made reservations. We were 15minutes late because of a little traffic. We went in and were seated right away, off to the right of the reception booth. It's kind of a closed off area so we did not experience any noise from the bar section. As yelped, Matt was great, the ambiance was fantastic and the food was timed perfectly and extremely well done. We had clam chowder cups for apps, white whine, and I had the Haddock Imperial. It was amazing. We did not have dessert because we were full and wanted to walk the "Place." All and all a great place. I hope your experience is just as nice.

Don Don shrimp won tons were some sadistic vendetta the chef has for the patrons. They were so spicy that nothing but pain could be tasted. I have no idea what was inside them and that may have been the point considering the Chilean Sea Bass they served next;;; which was slimy, gross and fishy. The best thing they can sling is the frozen fries served as a side dish. At least it was expensive. $70.00 with one beer. Someone should be fired...try tasting the crap you serve ass#$%^. I'll never get that time wasted back.

What a disappointment! Stopped here for an appetizer and a drink with not very high expectations (not a big fan of most chains) and not even my low expectations were met. Our appetizers were ill timed... My date's hot app. (coconut shrimp) came out first and even though we were told my oysters would be "right out" they didn't come for 10 mins. or more. To top things off, the oysters were extremely salty and the coconut shrimp bland and tasteless. Lots of other better choices at Patriot Place so no need to head back to this place!

I was pretty disappointed with this place, having heard that it was "just like Legal Sea Foods". It is not. Maybe the problem is that we didn't order the right things, but nothing we got was that good. It certainly wasn't BAD, but it wasn't anything special either. But, it did the trick for what we were looking for, which was somewhere to warm up after freezing our butts off at the Patriots game. And we didn't have to wait for a table. Drinks: They serve all their drinks in plastic cups with straws.. really strange. (Boston) Clam Chowder: Particularly disappointing. I LOVE New England clam chowder. I don't get out there much these days, living on the West coast, and was looking forward to getting clam chowder all weekend. I lined up at halftime to get some at the game, and they were sold out. Finally I had my clam chowder and it was.. a bit thin and salty. Grilled Yellowfin Tuna Burger: Not the best tuna burger I've had. I didn't expect it to be rare (ahi like) like my sister, who was super disappointed, but I did expect there to be a little more to it than there was.. it sounded pretty amazing in the description. Dessert: We had some Ferrero Rocher ice cream thing which was, by far, the best thing about the meal. I would go here again after a Patriots game, just because it is super convenient, and try some other things on the menu.

Sunday Brunch was great! We started with a round of 1.00 Mimosas, yes your first one is that cheap, as long as you purchase an entree. Our waiter was very attentive, live, soft jazz band playing near us. Three meat hash with eggs and homemade English muffin was terrific My friends ordered the Texas french toast and loved it, the other ordered the crab cake and egg meal. We all tried the crab cake, it was moist, tasty and full of crab meat! I think I will order that next we go there, I plan to go again soon.

Solid seafood. We stopped here for lunch while visiting patriot place because it was COLD out and this was the first restaurant we saw! Not a bad choice. Husband got the salmon special, and I had the bento box. Not a huge fan of the california roll, but the sashimi portion was large and fresh.. mmmm. Prices are a bit high, but I expect everything around here to be jacked up due to the proximity to Tom Brady's sexyness.

We dined at Skipjack's for a business dinner, bringing an out-of country colleague. The atmosphere is modern, the server was very attentive. Our shared calamari appetizer was just as it should be, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The coconut shrimp were the largest I have ever seen. What is impressive is the choice of fresh fish; for a seafood lover it was very difficult to pick just one. Should I have Mahi, Salmon, Chilean Sea Bass? In the end I chose Swordfish au Poivre because I just don't have the opportunity that often. It did not disappoint. In fact, my mouth is watering thinking about the garlic sauce and vegetable base it was served on, and now back home how I can duplicate it! I was too busy savouring my own food to notice anyone else's. None of us had room for dessert. My only comment, which I also quietly shared with the staff and hope they bring it to the attention of the management, was our seating. The table of four had two regular chairs on one side (where our gentlemen sat, as they arrived early) and the other side was placed a lounge bench. It was ridiculous. Sitting on the bench, my head was almost even with the table top. I had to sit on my leg (this was a business dinner, I felt really stupid) to get high enough to have my dinner, and by the end legs were asleep and back was aching. Manager, go and sit in every seat in the house and try it out with a meal. I am sure the lounge was aesthetically pleasing but it just is not suitable, for anyone.

Don't trust the gluten free menu... Fries are fried with all the breaded food... And bring your own place setting and napkin!!! Bread was served long before we got our drinks and never got our place settings till dinner came out... For the price.. We expected better...

Did not have a great experience here before, but decided to give it another try on Valentine's day. They had a small select menu, which was okay with me because I'm not a picky eater. Our experience here was not work the $100+ bill. 1. We got our appetizers before our drinks. The mussels were great, but my salad had WAY too much dressing. 2. When I finally got my vodka martini, it was made with SWEET vermouth. It didn't taste terrible, just not what I was expecting and tasted strange with the olives of course. Did not complain because I did not want to wait for another drink. 3. My boyfriend had the wasabi crusted salmon and said it had no taste. 4. I got my steak tips incredibly well done when I had asked for medium rare. My shrimp was also very overcooked and dry. Our service was okay, however our server seemed very nervous the whole time, perhaps she was new. Overall I will not be returning anytime soon. I would have rather spent my valentines getting a pizza at home of I had known.

To take half of their name forget the Jack's and Skip this place. Went there on a Wednesday night at 9:00. Place was deserted (which should have been a hint.) On the waitress' recommendation I ordered the Fish Taco's. For $22.00 it was a messy jumble of leaky, messy, and mushy fish with a cold relish of some sort on top. Thought for $22.00 it might have been served with something decent but it came with some mediocre sweet potato fries. Had that been noted on the menu I would have substituted or ordered something else. I have had way better fish taco's at local neighborhood dives and this is supposedly a higher end restaurant. Very disappointing. There were other interesting menu choices but I'd be hard pressed to return to this place given the poor quality of that one meal. The whole of Patriot Place seems rather like a ghost town on weekday nights and unless you are into bar food, burgers or nacho's the places I have tried here are all mediocre.

The bartender topped off my drink with a slosh of just-opened champagne, then drank from the bottle, spilled every liquor he poured, dropped a glass, and kept touching his crotch. Meh, guess it's what you'd expect for pre-concert nosh.

I'm from the Bay Area and love seafood. This place was just OK. I ordered the BBQ scallops, when they came out, they were a little overcooked and had a weird texture to them. I also ordered two of the fresh oysters, now those were amazing - super fresh, came with marinara, lemons, and ginger. My buddy got the lobster sandwich and it was FILLED with lobster, they did not skimp, he said his sandwich was tasty. Overall, the service was mediocre, which then was followed by mediocre food. It was worth the try, but not a second trip.

Great seafood spot to go before/after a Pats game. Excellent service and atmosphere too. We started with the RI fried calamari which was decent with some pretty hot peppers. I enjoyed a delicious lobster roll that came with a side of fries and cole slaw. The roll had huge chunks of fresh lobster, definitely one of the best I've had. Most other restaurants mix in a lot of celery and other ingredients to fill up the roll but this place gives you really big pieces of lobster! The bun was soft, crispy on the edges and buttery, yum! We also tried the lobster pie which was more of a casserole. It was topped with breadcrumbs in a lemon buttery sauce - absolutely fantastic! Again, huge chunks of lobster woah! Loved it. Our server was extremely attentive and friendly. I will definitely come back again to try their raw bar selections and sushi. This place isn't cheap but it's definitely worth the price and better than Legals Seafood!

Ordered three things, two were a REAL bust. Sat at the bar, had an attentive bartender, luckily. The oysters were good, but both dinners were terrible. One of us had chopped salad - which had an overpowering onion flavor - and the (appetizer) seafood minestrone. This was so salty it was inedible. The bartender did make sure it was remade, though had to wait of course. It was tasty once edible but threw off our schedule. My husband had the sirloin steak. It was about 1/2 in thick, overcooked, served with french fries that were...warm. He didn't want to send it back because it would have meant another wait! I know this is a seafood restaurant but for $32 this should have been better. Wont bother to return.

My boyfriend and I went to Patriot's place to walk around and enjoy the weather. We've only tried two restaurants in the area so we wanted to try something new. We ate here for lunch. It was a Saturday afternoon. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We started with the rhode island style calamari. Very good. The bread was phenomenal. For lunch my boyfriend got the grill fish tacos and said they were very good. I got the amazing lunch Sushi bento.- amazing!! I love smart, practical things like my lunch. It was like $8 for: california roll; tuna, shrimp and salmon over rice, seaweed salad, and crispy shrimp dumplings. It was a little bit of everything and just enough. We were full and satisfied and it didn't kill our wallet. I didn't really look at the rest of the menu or the prices, but I believe dinner is a bit more expensive but I would definitely go back to try it. And we didn't get dessert but the chocolate mousse dessert looked phenomenal!

It would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the average service. Call me a tourist, but my meal was absolutely delicious. I was town for business and the customer treated me to dinner here. I order the Stuffed Lobster and Clam Chowder. Yes, this was my first trip to New England, but, that was the absolute best lobster I've ever had. The Clam Chower was also really good. Everything tasted so fresh.

Excellent seafood, excellent service. I enjoyed a big, fried seafood platter and bowl of thick, white, creamy chowder. Everything was flavorful and prepared perfectly. (It's easy to serve fried seafood too greasy.) I'm sure it helped we were there early, one of the first in the door of the dinner hour. The kitchen was at its best. To be picky, the prices here are high, though that should be expected in Patriot Place. And our seating location bothered me a bit, too. I had a lovely view of an exit door (good thing they put a flatscreen TV over the thing) and my wife got a view of the back of a clumsy waiter at the bar. Considering we were first in the door, they could have done better than bury us in the bleachers. But after reflection, I'm not sure there is a good seat in the place -- every table and booth looked to be pointing in an odd direction. Even their signature, massive projection TV is more easily enjoyed by passersby in the plaza, not the restaurant's paying guests. No matter. I went for the food, and the food was great.

I wax poetic about Skipjack's, since I don't get an opportunity to eat here often. Once Turner Fisheries dropped the nom-gasmic Asian Steamer Basket from their menu, I had no idea where to go for my froufrou seafood restaurant. And while Legal Seafoods is good, Skipjack's is just.... well, MORE good. Last night I ordered the grilled scallops with a side garden salad, and steamers as an appetizer. My friend ordered the wasabi crusted salmon, and his colleague ordered a steak. First out: the bread basket. Wonderfully crisp and buttery crust! I dove into my rolls rather ungracefully, but warm buttery rolls DO have a short shelf life, so. The steamers were perfect! Not gritty at all, served with water and drawn butter. And my scallops arrived as a not-complete order, so our server brought out the rest of the entree after we were all served. The second round of scallops were visibly larger than the first round, which was interesting. The scallops were perfectly done, seared with grill marks and very moist. My friend's wasabi-crusted salmon was slightly overcooked but still delicious; I did not taste it since I'm a wuss, but it was nice and pink and flaky. And the steak was perfectly cooked, with a sweet demi-glace and new potatoes. I should return to Skipjack's again soon. For the quality of food served, they are very reasonably priced, and the staff is friendly and attentive.

It started off well, we were seated immediately and the server was friendly... But about 10 minutes after we ordered the waitress came back and began hinting that we should try to order some soup or sushi. We were all set, we wanted our fish and that was it. But another ten minutes passes and the waitress returns and indicates that their oven has malfunctioned so they weren't able to serve us that evening. I had made reservations a week before and was excited to try the food, as I have heard it is good. So we unfortunately were forced to go elsewhere for our meal that evening. We had ordered two drinks while waiting for our food, and we were still charged full price for both and weren't compensated in any way for our troubles. I understand that it is pure happenstance that this occurred at the same time we had reservations, but it would have been nice to have perhaps been given a gift card to return there or a discount on the drinks.

I don't know why my husband and I keep giving SkipJacks a second chance. Last night was the last time. We sat at the bar this time thinking the service would be better. Nope! And the bar wasn't even full. The oysters were outstanding but my husband got the surf & turf which was LAME. The steak was an embarrasment on the plate. We won't be back. Really.

My husband & I went to Skipjack's just to try a new place. It was very nice. We ate at the bar and the staff was attentive and courteous. The music was good and not so loud! Our food was good and we liked the general feel of the restaurant. The management is doing a good job! We will go back.

I stopped here for a quick bite before the Pats game today. The place was really busy around noontime especially on Gameday. The restaurant has high ceilings, a large projection screen over the wine rack in the main dining area and flatcreen TVs throughout the place including at the bar and sushi bar. I found a seat at the bar, which serves up drinks and appetizers only. It took about 5 minutes for my server/waiter come over and take my order due to the very busy nature. All of the waitstaff/bartenders were wearing Patriots attire. I started out with the Shrimp Minestrone Soup ($6) was a generous portion of soup with shrimp, vegetables, white beans, ditalini pasta, and spices in a tomato broth. Next, the Coconut Shrimp ($11), 5 shrimp dipped & coated in a corn meal batter with coconut and deep fried, served with honey mustard dipping sauce, with shoestring carrot garnish. Both were pretty good. The service was very good and attentive at the bar with refills given on my ice water. The check was left with me after ordering the food, this speeds up the process. The soup arrived in under 5 minutes and the coconut shrimp arrived 12 minutes later. The staff worked as a team, staff members brought food from the kitchen to the bar, and another bartender cashed me out when I was finished eating. I was in and out in 30 minutes and made it in time for the opening kickoff, so I'm giving Skipjack's 4 stars for the quick eats and quick turnaround during a very busy time. NOTES: I was told by the bartender the place goes to very quiet during the game and the staff goes on break and gets ready for the big rush after the game. The online reservation system was all booked up for this evening. People under 21 are not allowed to sit at the bar due to the law. I saw a few patrons try to sit at the bar with their young children, but were turned away by the staff and had to be seated.

I have had several business lunches here and this review is based solely on lunch and not dinner. I have to tip my hat to the owner of Skipjack's. The guts it took to start this chain, which is essentially is another Legal Seafood, who have a gajillion locations throughout New England and beyond. There are so many in Boston it must make what they're doing a difficult task. The food is delicious from the various menu selections I have made; Sushi was fresh, sashimi portions were quite large and a good value. The Grilled Mahi Mahi Teriyaki is quite good too. The dish is an Asian stir fry in noodles. It's not too salty and has good flavor along with fresh crispy vegetables. The Lobster roll was good, it was very plentiful but had a noticeable lack of tail meat which I found to be disappointing. The roll was toasted with a garlic butter and was the best part of the sandwich, not saying that the lobster itself was bad, it's simply because the roll was that darn good. If I order it again, I would be tempted to ask the waiter for an additional roll to make two smaller sandwiches just to get some more of that starchy goodness. The decor is modern and artsy in the same style as Legal in many ways. It is pleasant and appealing. The location is pretty nice at Patriot Place, I like the outdoor shopping available and walking around the stadium, it's a nice atmosphere. It's also a fun place to walk around in the summer. I deduct one star for the slllloooowwww service. It takes forever for the waitstaff to present the bill and then pick it up to process for payment, everytime!! Good place, it's pricey, but you will get quality with the added cost.

We have been to SkipJack's many times and send our parents for their anniversary. The manager brought them complimentary champagne and when he found out they did not drink alcohol, he comp'd their dessert. We have been at least three or four times and almost everything is really savory and delicious. Our favorites thus far have been their seasonal special bass (has ginger in it), their Baja Fish Tacos, and I had the Skipjack's style Cod with sweet potato fries and veggies. It was so delicous. Not fishy at all. Perfectly tender. we also LOVED the Rhode Island style calamari. The squid was not overly fried, it was light and not too oily. We eat calamari everywhere we go and this was nice and spicy. I'm not sure why there are so many bed recommendations on here...we had an amazing waiter from Arizona, who really never knew about fish (being from AZ) and he knew every detail about the fish; how it tasted, texture, how it was made...he was very knowledgable and we were very pleased. We're foodies and I'm sorry for people who have had negative experiences here because we really enjoyed it....and we ate on the patio and it was lovely.

For someone that doesn't live in the area, this place is VERY confusing to get to! There are no much visible signs that gives a slightest clue where the restaurants are if you end up on the other side of Patriot's Place. Good thing I had someone to call to help get from one side of the mall to the other in the dark. The decor is very nice but too bad the ceiling leaks when it rains. I saw buckets here and there to capture the droplets of water. I came here for a few snacks and a drink. The cherrystones were pretty fresh, just a tad sandy. The chowder was good as usual - rich and creamy with plenty to bite on. The beef tataki was out of this world! It was tender and no freezer burn. The ponzu sauce made it extra appetizing. This dish gave this place a 4th star!

This place is so average honestly. And so pricey. If you are a decent cook you could make your own seafood platter. Absolutely nothing to brag about. Very plain. Take it from someone who knows seafood!

Although this place has somewhat of a chain feel to it, the food was good. The chowda was tasty. Gluten-free options are available. Our party of four wanted the seafood experience so chose entrees accordingly. No complaints, everything was well prepared. Server was friendly and attentive, but food service was a bit on the slow side considering we were there on a holiday Monday mid-afternoon, and the place was not busy. We weren't in a hurry so it didn't matter. Prices are reasonable. Worth a return visit next time we're in the area.

Stopped in for a quick lunch on a very uncrowded Saturday. Service was friendly and attentive the entire meal. Shared the blackened salmon salad and slider trio and both were fantastic. If I were to go back I'd ask for light dressing on the salad b/c it did seem a bit overdressed. Kids had fish and chips and shrimp and fries. Both the fish and shrimp were good sized and tender even though they were fried. Would definitely go back...

I'm impressed! They definitely have my vote... Originally I called to make reservations for a small party for my bosses, they ended up inviting the entire branch which I work with which is about 12 people. So I called to change reservations a few hours prior to dinner for a bigger party which wasn't a problem. They ended up giving us a private function room which sat us perfectly. The food was TO DIE for!!!! No joke... I enjoyed every piece I tried. The appetizers - coconut shrimp = bomb, teriyaki chicken = bomb, RI Style Calamari = YOU MUST TRY! A few people got soups instead of salads, and I must say I wanted to steal the bowls the soup came in. The waiters bring over this bowl and place it infront of you and if you happened to order lobster bisque there is a few pieces of lobster in the bowl and after he puts the bowl in front of you he pours the soup over it from a little can. I loved the presentation! A+, Bravo!!! Haha. Before I talk about the Entrees I must say thank you to whoever the Chefs were on this night. We totally were high maintenance and were requesting food to be cooked with different sauces etc. (Not me, but my coworkers were) Anyways... I got the salmon Skipjack's style which I totally recommend!! The confetti rice was the perfect side to have with my salmon. I honestly don't think I've had better salmon other than when I make it myself of course. Ha. My coworker gave me a scallop from her plate which was so good and my other girlfriend was enjoying her baked haddock. The food was perfect. To top off dinner I got the girl scout cookie thin mint cheese cake with strawberries. Now let me just tell you this was no ordinary slice of cheesecake.... you'll have to find out about this fabulous piece on your own. :) Service was perfect. Thank you Matthew and .... sorry but I forget the girls name that took care of us. LOL. Story of the night, I went to the hostess stand to ask if there was a pharmacy inside Patriots Place because I wanted to purchase a disposal camera to take pictures of dinner since we had our Executive from out of the country visiting. The answer is no. But, the GM had someone pick me up one on there way into work. Talk about service!!!! Thank you Skipjack's for making my company dinner such a enjoyable night. The bosses thanked me later and so here is my 5 star review to thank you.

If you want a sandwich... the prices are great! I ordered fish tacos and my husband ordered fish and chips BECAUSE of the high prices for anything else. Fish items were YUMMY.. I tasted his fish and it rivaled those we'd had in London! The fish tacos were VERY tasty and loaded.. came with a rice side. Nicely done. Warmly welcomed... and sent on our way....classy! Atmosphere is rocking the current trends and any issues were promptly handled. DO NOT SIT NEXT TO THE KITCHEN... you can FEEL them slinging dishes back there and the banging is very annoying. The waiter did ask them to 'tone it down' and it was a bit more pleasant to enjoy the meal.

Ate there on a Saturday night. My date asked the waitress how the fried clams were and she highly recommended them. When she questioned how was our meal my date gave his feedback that the clams were hard and should not be recommended; to which our server simply shrugged her shoulders and walked away. My oysters and tuna were delicious, however, in this day of emphasis on customer service, I found it insulting that his feedback was not addressed. I would visit another restaurant in that location next time I'm there.

My husband and I went to Patriot Place for dinner and a movie. Our plan was to get our movie tickets and then eat while we killed time before the movie. It was early (@ 5pm) and we figured we arrived in plenty of time. The movie we wanted was sold out already so we tried for a later one and it was sold out too. We decided to just get tickets for the following night and have dinner there anyway. We tried several places and all had waiting times of 30-45 minutes. we walked in to Skipjack's and they could seat us right away so we ate there. Lucky for us, they still had 1/2 price appetizers because we were so early! We shared the mussels and they were delicious. My husband had the cod and I had the tuna special. The tuna was delicious and cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the apple crsip which we were told is the owner's grandmother's recipe. Yummy. The food was all great, but what made the dining experience really really great was our waiter Steve who did an amazing job. He was attentive without being intrusive and very informed and hospitable. Having himas a server prompted me to write a review as I have been here quite a few times before, but never got around to writing. The only downside is that it is pretty pricey.

Went here for lunch. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. The dinner rolls were awesome. I was bummed that there were only ~3 plates on the menu that werent fish. I had the parmesan crusted chicken w/ lemon, feta & spinach rice - so did my sister - both had way too much butter. 2 others got some kind of fish and said it was nothing special. Another person got the double cheese burger which looked like the best thing on the table. I cant speak for the others but they didnt seem impressed with their meals. Everyone that i was with said they wished they went somewhere else. Although the service was awesome, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The next time I'm in the area I'd even wait out a table somewhere else before considering it an option for food.

It's overpriced. You could receive bigger portions elsewhere for a better price. Staff was not ready for large holiday parties. 1. No pre-filled water glasses prior to the party sitting down, everyone was always thirsty 2. No complimentary bread and butter on the table? Most pricey places give u both of those complimentary, and other smaller parties in the same room had dinner rolls I guess large parties don't count!? 3. Server didn't know who had what dish and no one wants cold seafood! 4. Ask if things are spicy it's not listed and you could be in for a big surprise! They just really need to re-evaluate how large parties of 12+ are treated.

Brought my mum here for a Mother's Day lunch during a very brief stint of nice weather. We decided to sit outside to enjoy some sun before the rain arrived later that afternoon. We were given some fresh bread with dipping oil to start us off, which was really yummy. We also ordered a bottle of chardonnay. For the main course, she ordered the seafood cobb salad, which had shrimp, lobster, and smoked salmon in it. She really enjoyed it a lot! I had tuna nigiri sushi and tuna maki. Everything was fresh and delicious! I would love to return again sometime!

our server was great, the sushi was okay(after i ordered it they came back and told me it would be an additional 30 minutes...even though their menu says no sushi from like 230-5 or so and i ordered it at 6 pm...taste was ok, nothing amazing...at least it wasn't mushy! ) ..the thai chicken wings are delicious....beers are small for the price and are served in cheap plastic cups which i am not a fan of) ..... the worst thing about that place is the music...i LOVE loud music, however it was soo loud i could hardly talk to my date, or even hear the server .and plus it was so loud i just wanted to get out of there before my meal was even over..the music they played was crappy, trendy music!! i had a few hours to kill before the game and NEEDED to leave! craziest thing is when i left, there was a huge line outside the door. .at least 20 people waiting to get served before the pats game!

Great service. Host waitstaff and manager all friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was nice as well. The bread before the meal was warm and tasty. I has the fish tacos with their spicy potato chips. The chips were hot and freshly made. The fish tacos were not so good. The flavors were there but the fish had that fishy taste, so I can't say that I enjoyed them. My wife got the fish and chips her fish seemed very fresh. However it was a little chewy at the edges. It was expensive so not sure we will go back.

All of our fish dishes were prepared and cooked to perfection. While the Bloody Mary's were tangy, the ambience was mellow thanks to the delightful tones of a jazz trio. Thank you Skipjacks for a lovely brunch experience. We will back.

I'll tell ya - i wasn't so excited to hit up Skip Jack's b/c i've been to a few other locations before and it was just ok. But we went on saturday night, 7 people, no reservation, and they were just so friendly. They sat us in about 20 min after we got there. while we were waiting, the bar was packed but the bartender was super friendly and very helpful which was nice. the food was fab as well! we order oysters, calamari, and I had the mahi mahi. my friend ordered one of the bento boxes and we split. coconut shrimp - HELLO! wasabi salmon - HELLO AGAIN! all of the fish was delicious! all the dinners also came out at the same time which was awesome as well. i love when they do that! so needless to say, i'll be back.

If I could afford to rent the place out by myself, I would eat here all the time. The food here is phenomenal and the drink list made me drool. I didn't try any of their old-style cocktails, but they make a mean gin & tonic and a pretty good mojito too. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me share with you my night at Skipjack's... I was initially apprehensive because of the prices listed on their website. I'm not a particularly fancy lady, and entrees starting in the low 20s made me shudder. But I wasn't paying, it was for our one-year, and so to Foxboro we went. We got to the restaurant at around 7 this past Saturday. We were told there was a 45-minute-to-an-hour wait; fine. The name was given, we walked around Patriot Place for half an hour and came back. And waited. Past the 45 minute mark, more towards the hour...so we asked and were told our reservation was for a little past 8. It was at least 8:20 by the time we were seated. We stayed relatively well-tempered due to the game playing on a wall projection across from us, but the fact that there was no seating area had both of our feet hurting by the end of the wait time. Once we got our food, though (from our friendly-but-bland waitress,) we nearly forgot about the wait. A Maryland Crab Cake appetizer was pricey for just one, but it was thick and entirely crab with a very light, crispy exterior. For our entrees, my boyfriend got the jambalaya. Very spicy, but extremely flavorful- so much so that I kept stealing bites despite hating the burny-tongue feeling. I got the Baked Haddock Imperial, and let me tell you something- it is quite possibly the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. I am not one to finish meals (particularly expensive ones,) being a fan of leftovers. I would not leave until the whole piece of fish and all of the phenomenal crab stuffing atop it (and the fresh spinach below) was gone. I even ate nearly the entire apple pie dessert that we ordered, because that too was delicious. It was a crust that didn't taste premade, it was warm but not hot, and the filling had not one chip of apple core. All in all, this place made my mouth really happy. The only downsides were the wait and the pretentious-yet-loud crowd...but those were heavily outweighed by the amazing food.

Awesome sea bass (see my review for the Providence Oyster Bar) and only $29. It comes over veggies and a side of rice. The portion of fish is a decent size. The sauce is awesome and I usually forgo the rice for extra veggies and it is great. They have great bread as well which I think is homemade. My friend had the sushi and she is very picky and she really enjoyed it. We sat at the bar and the service was just ok. We had to get our own placesettings and constantly ask for things. It wasn't crazy busy so not sure why the bartenders seemed clueless. This is by far my favorite place for sea bass ! Plus there are several places within Patriots place to have an after dinner drink so it is a great location.

Great sushi, the Snow Mountain Roll is one of the best. Spicy Tuna is amazing. Over the past year however the rolls have gotten a bit smaller and the price has gone up! All the food we have ever had has been great. Lobster Bisque is to die for. Clam chowder is one of the best as my boyfriend states. My mother had the lobster roll and loved it. It had big pieces of lobster throughout. If you love seafood and love the thought of perhaps running into a Patriots football player (as they frequent here) then you should try Skip Jacks. It is pricey though. Most people are dressed up a bit at night, but we have gone casual before and felt comfortable. Service can be a bit touch and go. As we have had great waiters/waitress' and some not so great.

This is one of the better seafood places in the area. I was excited to see a lot of fish on the menu, especially at the lunch prices. It was quick to get in there, though the hostess was rude and a waiter had to seat us. They had great bread and a nice atmosphere but they were playing Top 40 hits like Britney Spears and "Sexy Can I?", which wasn't what I expected. They had a lot of choices as far as fish and they were pretty reasonably prices from approximately $13-17. I had the wasabi crusted tuna and my mom had the teriyaki mahi mahi. My tuna was great. It was a large piece but the vegetables were not that good. They were wilted and a very small portion even for lunch. There were two pieces of mahi mahi and some noodles and vegetables. I would have liked to try their plain fish options or one of the sandwiches. They also had an extensive sushi menu but that's not for me.

I just love Skipjack's at Patriot Place. The food is just outstanding, the service and staff are simply impeccable. Peter is great, he checks on all the tables and shows his appreciation for all his customers. If you are Sushi fan, you must go visit Otto he is the best and most creative sushi chef in the area. Two words.... SUSHI MARTINI!!!!!!! Everytime I go, I tell myself to save room for the Rhode Island calamari & Ginger Sea Bass!!!! In fact, I just went the other day an saw the the The Fish Tacos with the mahi mahi, I guess I'll have to add those to my wish list. If you want a place to sit and have some great seafood and variety in menu this is the place to go. Every single thing I have ever had was terrific, and I have tried just about everything on the menu, even the steaks! The overall ambiance of this place is just right in every way. Bottom line, whether you like seafood or not, Skipjack's has you covered completely. It's pricey, but worth every penny! Next time I oysters are in order!

Typical for seafood restaurants this place is a little pricey, but the food is good. Located right in Patriots place right across from the stadium the atmosphere could not be any better as all of the servers are decked in there Patriots gear. For appetizers we had a spicy raw tuna served on a bed of glass noodles and seawood salad with caviar placed on the top served in a martini glass. Very interesting flavor, caviar not as fishy as I thought it would be. For dinner we split mussels in white wine garlic sauce and the seafood combination of fish scallops and shrimp baked casserole style, this was very good. Also we had some of there clam chowder at the game, it was very good as well, although I do prefer the union oyster house's in downtown Boston.

This place is pure class. I'm not one to give out five star reviews, but Skipjack's truly earns it, in every possible way. I'll also have you know, I'm giving this high rating DESPITE the fact that I really don't care for seafood at all. Here's the scoop. I came here on Christmas Eve with my fiance and Mom to celebrate my Mom's birthday (made reservations on Open Table). We arrived a good twenty minutes early. Did we have to wait? Nope! Mind you, it was quite busy for a Christmas Eve so this was impressive. Our waiter Matt was awesome. He made suggestions on which appetizers to get, which main courses were the best, and even which beer I should try out when I wasn't familiar with a few on tap (for the record, it was a damn good suggestion!) He also handled everything in perfect stride when my Mom made special requests several times for her meal. He didn't blink an eye, and just made things happen. Sounds minor, but there are so many places where this type of thing gets you the stinkeye! Next, on to appetizers. I got the Teriyaki Chicken Wings. They were awesome, plain and simple. Tons of flavor, plenty of meat, and excellent presentation. My Mom and fiance split the fried calamari. They said they were terrific and very fresh tasting. For the main course, my Mom got the Baked Haddock Imperial. Again, she said it was very good and fresh tasting. My fiance got the Crab Cakes. Same deal, she said they were awesome. As I mentioned before, I'm not a fan of seafood at all so my personal feedback won't do them any justice - but they did look really good. Next, I'm going to place the most focus on the one thing that most people coming to Skipjack's probably couldn't care less about. Steak. That's where I was really impressed. As someone who has never liked seafood, I couldn't help but feel like a 'seafood emporium' like Skipjack's would have no qualms about charging $30 for a lackluster steak for one reason: who gets a steak at a seafood restaurant?! It's not what they DO, it's not their FOCUS! I was extremely surprised. Not only was my New York Sirloin cooked to absolute perfection, it tasted terrific, and had a nice crust of light seasonings on it. This is the same type of steak I would expect at a quality steakhouse. Meat lovers, you have nothing to fear coming here! On to the deserts. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact names of the desserts we got. One was a miniature apple pie, and the other was a huge cream puff filled with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. Again, both were awesome (see a pattern?!). To top off the night, a bunch of waiters came out and sang Happy Birthday to my Mom (with a candle in one of the deserts). Was this meal cheap? Absolutely not! More importantly, was it worth the money? ABSOLUTELY. Service was impeccable, every single thing we ordered tasted terrific, and the overall ambiance of this place is just right in every way. Ultimately, whether you like seafood or not, Skipjack's has you covered completely. Yes, it's pricey - but Skipjack's is a prime example of 'you get what you pay for!'

I've really, really enjoyed myself every time I've dined at the Patriot Place Skipjack's. I've never had a bad meal, and the service is excellent. Their GM, Peter, makes sure to speak with patrons at every table and he's incredibly nice. My food has been great for both dine in and takeout. I'd probably be able to eat here every single day, which is pretty much my only criteria when awarding a restaurant 5 stars. Great place!

Very good seafood outside the city. Wife and I have been here twice now, and enjoyed the various selections of fish they have. The raw bar was excellent, I had a mix of local and Canadian oysters, and they were served with cocktail sauce and red wine vinegar dressing (which you Rhode Islanders will appreciate). For an entree I had a Chilean sea bass over rice with stir fried veggies and it was quite good. The wife had a pecan halibut which she devoured. She is normally not a fish eater either, or rather is very picky about her seafood, yet it did not stop her. She also had the Ty Warren sushi roll as an appetizer, this was very fresh and quite tasty. I would highly recommend Skipjack's if you happen to be at Patriot Place. Far better than options such as Davios, and easier on the wallet too.

My first visit was mostly accidental. A seafood place and a hankering for fish and chips seemed like a natural match. The results were excellent. The fish and chips were well done and the batter was nice and light. The lunch price was more than reasonable and the staff was very friendly. My second trip came as the result of an intense craving for Crab Legs. I don't know what it is but you can't find crab legs in New England to save your life. Lobster you can get (literally) at a Red Sox game from a concession stand. But crab legs? Forget it! Fortunately SkipJack's offers up a healthy Alaskan King Crab leg meal. It comes attached to a hefty $40 price tag, but when you simply must have crab and this is the only place to get it you pay the price. Thankfully they were worth the money. The serving was more than I could actually consume in a single sitting and the taste was outstanding. We even had a happy misunderstanding that led to our next vist! Crabcakes. Somehow when ordering Crab legs the waiter misunderstand and placed an order for Crab Cakes. They were PHENOMENAL. In fact we went back the next week and ordered them because we enjoyed them so much. Which brings us to the staff. Skipjacks is not a cheap place. it's a bit upscale and you expect the staff to reflect that slightly upscale attitude. They do! They're very helpful, always polite, and very courteous at all times. While they're always on hand to offer refills and check in frequently, they don't hover as some restaurant staff do. This means you feel like you're being well treated but still enjoying a private dinner. Well done! My only knock is the prices. It's menu is top notch, the food is good, and the portions are generous, but at these prices it had all better be! Crab cakes run about $25, A tuna steak will run you much the same, and Crab legs are $40. Lunch is reasonable with a $12 fish and chip plate.

In my quest to show my BFF visiting from VA nothing but a good time, we ventured to Patriot Place last night to hit up the Pats hall of fame, do some shopping and eat. I had been stalking Skipjacks for awhile due to their seafood laden menu and my love affair of eating our friendly ocean friends. Anywho. It was a great choice. Everything from the placemats, lighting, and the water glasses was aesthetically pleasing. I ordered a few sushi rolls and they were delectable. My bloody Mary was the perfect blend of spice and vodka. My friends each got an entree which comes with the best pre dinner salad I have ever tasted. Argula with goat cheese and fresh grapefruit. I definitely have to come back and try anything and everything from their grilled seafood menu.

I recently went here with a friend for her birthday. It was my second time here. The first time I went I ordered the salmon, and it was delicious. It tasted fresh and the side orders provided me with more than enough food. The second time around my friend and I sat at the bar, where we were told we could order from the full menu. I liked that this was possible, seeing as how we'd have had to wait for a table otherwise. I ordered a glass of Malbec and my friend ordered a glass of champagne to start. We were also served a bread basket. This time around I ordered sushi, which was excellent. The rainbow roll was a bit on the pricey side ($14) but all of the other rolls were average price. The spicy tuna roll had a real kick to it, which I liked, and the Philadelphia roll had the perfect amount of cream cheese. Our bill at the end of the night was about $60, which I didn't think was too bad for two drinks and sushi. I'll definitely be coming back here when I'm at Patriot Place and craving sushi!

Ive eaten here aproximately 6 times and it is consistently good. It is not on the menu but if you ask they will prepare a seafood minestrone which is outstanding. I also think that the fish here rivals anybody's.

My fiance and I were drawn over to SkipJacks for lunch last week instead of Bar Louie at Patriot Place due to the simple fact that it was a hot afternoon and SkipJacks had outdoor seating with umbrellas, while Bar Louie did not. We wanted to eat outside, but we didn't want to cook in the sun. The food was very good. My fiance actually said the fish tacos were the best he'd ever had. I had a sushi bento box which was fresh and came with some very tasty dumplings. Our servers were pleasant and accommodating as well. We will most likely be back if we're shopping in the area again.

This place is pricey for the quality of food you get. I had the calamari and the fish tacos, neither were anything to write home about. However, the lobster bisque was pretty good. I won't be going back though, if I'm going to drop close to $100 for two people I want my food to sing in my mouth and I want stronger drinks.

Girl's night at skip jack's. Appetizer - we had the mussels steamed in wine sauce. Mussels were delicious although it took forever to arrive to our table, it was still warm. Dinner, one person had the "in season" salmon skip jack style with sweet potato fries. Salmon over cooked and food slightly cold. Another had the wasabi crusted salmon, again over cooked and slightly cold. I had the seabass cioppino it was delicious (sea bass, shrimp, scallops, calamri, and mussels in a roasted lobster sauce) So although I enjoyed my experience my girls did not, we ate and talked for a few hours and the waitress would not stop harrassing us to leave (although they were not going to close for another hour or so) so I felt that was somewhat annoying. Overall it was a nice experience.

Great food, service and bar overall. Sushi rocks. Just don't ever get breakfast there. They may have some lady playing a fancy harp but you'll end up paying over $100 like we did for 3 people (one of them was elder who doesn't eat much). We're still trying to figure how we payed that much for breakfast.

So I'm on YELP checking out this place, and noticed there's an option to reserve a table. So I do it. Dinner for 2 on Sunday around 6:00. Turns out, it wasn't entirely necessary because there were only about a handful of patrons dining that evening. That's ok, it's Sunday. In any case, the prices were what I'd expect considering they specialize in Seafood. I ordered some Tuna with vegetable sides, and my lovely date ordered something simple, fried calamari I think. I hate to nit pick, I really do; but my plate lacked something I consider important with Seafood: and that's seasoning. And the tuna was dry. The truth was, I was so hungry, I woofed it down, only to find out my girlfriend already had enough of her plate, which was barely half eaten. Perfect location, convenient, accommodating space, however if I was to rate the place based on that one meal, I'd say the dinner was subpar.

This is the first time I have been here. Not a fan of seafood but it was a company event. The bartender, Nicole, was very helpful with wine selection. The waiters were very attentive. The fillet Mignon was very good.

It wasn't horrible, but I wouldnt go back. I wanted to have a good impression of the place, so I ordered one of their "signature" dishes and the current drink special. Drinks: It doesnt take a rocket scientist to make sangria. I dont know if they were trying to stretch out their supply, but my sangria was incredibly watered down. As someone who really enjoys the beverage, this was very disappointing for me. Food: I had the crab and spinach fondue for an appetizer. It was ok, but I really didnt taste any crab in it at all. I also had the bbq scallops with mashed potatos. I was disappointed in both. The scallops were low quality and small. They werent seared well, so that was sad. They were also drowned in a moat of low grade, overly sweet bbq sauce. Way too much sauce....it overpowered the shellfish completely. The mashed potatos were bland, with NO pepper and were not creamy AT ALL. I have NEVER been so disappointed with mashed potatos at a restaurant. Its the easiest thing to do...I was shocked at how bad they were. Service: Our waiter forgot to put in our appetizer, so we sat hungry until it came out....30 seconds before the entree. The manager came around to ask how things were going, but it couldnt make up for the fact that my entree was getting cold while I sampled my app. We were very kind and didnt complain, but the waiter KNEW he messed up and was visibly annoyed . Overall, I'd say this is the kind of place that serves up oversized portions to compensate for high prices, instead of providing smaller, better quality food. I'm always suspicious of a place that has a TON of choices on the menu...and I wasnt wrong this time, either. Go there to have fun with your family...Dont go there for special food and an elegant dining experience.

I went here about 4 months ago with my family (mom, dad, bro). And it's located at Foxboro place, which is pretty cool since it's amidst their shopping plaza. We walk in, and I immediately I like the look/scene, we are greeted and then led to our table. Our server was pleasant. My brother and myself are huge sushi fans. And I know this place is known for their uber fresh seafood. Plus....we were trying to broaden the rents horizons on sushi :). My mother has dabbled a bit, but hasn't been too adventurous at that point. We got the cucumber sashimi maki(thinly sliced cucumber rolled with tuna, salmon, hamachi, tobiko & cucumber), and the cape cod maki (lobster salad, lettuce, and cucumber). They were both very good, and the lobster in the rolls were pretty generous, a little more mayo than I would have liked, but still good. I really liked the cucumber sashimi roll, more my style, and you could tell it top notch in regards to freshness, I'd order again in a heartbeat. My mom actually tried one, and liked it. My dad would only try the lobster roll (since it's cooked lol) but that's ok, and he like it as well. My mom got the lobster bisque, and when it arrived they put her bowl down, and then poured the bisque into it, cute. She loved it! For the entrees....hence the 3 star rating. I was the only one that didn't really enjoy their meal. I opted for the grilled mahi mahi with the fresh veggies, which happened to be green beans. Super exciting side dish woo hoo! NOT. The mahi itself wasn't amazing, it was OK at best, and the complete lack of seasoning didn't help. I realize you can get their special rub mixture on it if you like, and I decided to not to. But it should still be tasty. It was mediocre mahi mahi and slightly overcooked. And the beans..... belch, completely covered in oil and also very tasteless, and *yawn*....boring. No exciting flavors on my plate. My mom and brother got the fish tacos, they LOVED them! They smelled amazing and and looked pretty authentic as well. My dad got the cioppino, which also looked delish, and he was more than happy with it. If I ever go back I will either stick with the sushi which was super fresh and yummy, or order something else. I probably just chose the wrong thing, since everyone else seemed quite satisfied.

We are frequent diners at Skipjack's at partriot place the food is phenominal we are always welcomed by the warm staff that make you feel right at home...the GM Peter is great checks on all the tables and shows his genuine appreciation for all his customers. We had some sushi from Otto which is amazing best sushi around fresh and well crafted. The Fish Tacos with the mahi mahi and the spicy glaze over corn tortillas was out of this world along with the crab cakes. If you want a place to sit and have some great seafood and variety in menu this is the place to go. And if you are up early on a sunday the Sunday Jazz Brunch is amazing live Jazz playing sipping on a mimosa or bloody mary will start the day off right. Thank you everyone at Skipjack's keep up the great work

This was our first visit to Skipjack's and it was a good one. The baskets of hot, fresh rolls were delicious. All in our group of six enjoyed their meals: baked haddock, fish 'n chips, seafood platters, and gluten-free fried shrimp. Simply having decent g-f selections wins points with us, but the food was all good. The only complaint was the fried clams on the seafood platter. They were unappealing in appearance and bland in taste. Our waitress, who was friendly and efficient, offered a complimentary dessert to compensate. That was a nice, and very much appreciated gesture. In fact, the apple crisp and the chocolate bread pudding were both hits! We would go back.

My husband and I took our 2 adult children here for lunch. What a meal we had! I started with the lobster bisque. The waiter brought my bowl to the table with fresh lobster meat on the bottom and a long, toasted slice of bread in the bowl as well. He then proceeded to pour the broth into the bowl - so fancy! Very flavorful soup, not your typical lobster bisque, which is usually too creamy and thick for my taste. We ordered sushi to share, this was my first time sampling it and it was super fresh and tasty! The fish tacos are exceptional and authentic, the real deal! My husband had the cioppino - again, a winner choice! Highly recommend eating here. Very classic atmosphere and great staff.

I would eat every single thing on this menu. My husband had the Salmon "skipjack style" and it was huge! I had the Cioppino and it was amazing. They give you a nice sized glass of wine, and their rolls are addicting! I was too full for dessert, but I hope to be back to try some!

Finally, a dining experience that oversurpassed all others. This restaurant is located in Patriots Place Plaza, adjacant to the stadium. Inside is a cozy atmosphere with soft lighting and seating available at tables, booths and at the bar. We were automatically greeted and placed at a booth table. Our server, Mark, greeted us promptly and served up exceptionally through the night. He brought us a basket of warm bread and poured us glasses of water before taking our drinks. The riesling here was exceptionable. Mark was superba t explaining the menu for us. I had to take a while because it it a huge menu, plus a sushi bar to boot. We started off getting for an appetizer a half dozen oysters. Plump and awesome. I got a couple of sushi items, the tuna tettaki and an order of salmon sashimi. The ponzu sauce was awesome and both the tuna and salmon were superbly fresh. For the main meal, I decided on staying with my favs and getting the appetizer of the bucket of seafood. Good size bucket filled with shrimp, littlenecks and mussels served in an Old Bay seasoning broth...divine. My beau got the seafood combo consisting of the Maryland Crab Cake, swordfish, and shrimp. He thought it might have been more for the price but said that it tasted good. Two of the managers came ofer to check if everything was good. Mark was always attentive to us, especially since I'm a condiment frea and demand so many things, like an abundance of pepper. We decided to look upon the dessert menu but we were in really in the mood for strawberry shortcak but wasn't there. The staff were all working as a team which is effective and we sincerely enjoyed ourselves. They offer special menus during the week and one of them, Wednesdays, all you can eat lobster for $39. We'll soon be back here again.

Great selection of super fresh fish with urban decor that is much cooler than the logo and location would lead you to expect. The bar has a nice selection of craft beers on draft and a pretty nice wine list.

My husband and I went to Skipjacks on a whim Monday night. We arrived at about 7:45 and it was not busy at all..about 10 tables full and a few people at the bar. We were seated right away. I thought the decor was really funky and clean..nice wide open space. Our server was great, very attentive and had a nice personality. For dinner...Hubbie does not eat seafood so I was a little worried that the non-seafood items would be sub-par..not the case! He had the filet, med rare and it came with sauteed spinach, baby potatoes and a nice homemade sauce...he said it was very good. I wanted a little taste of everything so I ordered the Bento box...GREAT choice and value at 24 dollars. It came with a huge piece of their wasabi salmon, 6 pieces of a very fresh california maki roll, 2 AMAZING coconut shrimp with a slightly spicy mustard sauce and three little dumplings. I only ate about half of what I was served, it was so much food..but it will make a great leftover dinner tonight. Besides we left room for dessert..he ordered the choc. bread pudding..i did not try that but he finished it all, I assume it was good! I had the red velvet cupcake in a jar..frosting was very good..cake was tasty but a bit dry... I would certainly return to Skipjacks...next time I would like to sit at the bar and feast on the amazing array of oysters and sushi!
Skipjack's has become one of the largest upscale seafood chains in New England (probably rivaled only by Legal Seafood). We went last night with a party of 10 for a friend's birthday party. The experience was an absolute nightmare. We were seated pretty quickly, and it was fairly noticeable that the restaurant was not full at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. Normally, I'd assume it's a sign of the economy, but after the experience we had, I wouldn't be surprised if word of mouth is turning people away. The appetizers were uneventful. The highlight was definitely the lobster bisque, as one member of our party said it was the best she's ever had. However, to parallel that, one member of party ordered the wedge salad. It delivers exactly what it promises and nothing more; A giant 1/2 wedge of iceberg lettuce, drenched in blue cheese dressing. Coming in at $7 bucks, it's definitely a contender for the the biggest rip off on the menu. It probably takes a grand total of 5 seconds to slice a head of iceberg lettuce in half and drench it in dressing. It probably costs them .50 cents. They charge more for it than a bowl of clam chowder. We ordered more drinks approximately 15 minutes before our entrees came. The drinks never arrived. When the entrees came, one of them was completely wrong, and another (mine) was completely forgotten, and never made. Once I realized that they didn't give me my food, the waitress was no where to be found. About 10 minutes later, a manager came out to apologize to the other woman for the entree being wrong. I tried to interject to tell her that my dinner was missing (because at that point, with them saying nothing to me, and me nothing to them, I thought they didn't even know) . All the manager said was, "I know about your missing dinner," and went back to apologizing to the other woman. I wasn't sure how she knew because I didn't have a conversation with our waitress, but then realized that the waitress probably knew when she was bringing the entrees out, and didn't even have the courtesy to come over to apologize. Strangely, the manager seemed annoyed that I even mentioned it. fact that the waitress let me sit there for 10 minutes assuming that they didn't even know about my problem without saying anything to me shows inexperience and poor training. When the manager came by, we asked for the drinks that we ordered 25 minutes ago, and made a comment about how long it had been since we ordered them. They came pretty quickly after that. When my dinner finally came (about 10-15 minutes after everyone else's), it was obvious that they just rushed it, to get it out of the kitchen. I ordered a broiled combo-platter with broiled scallops, shrimp and scrod. It was burnt to a crisp, completely dried out, and they forgot to season it. I ate it (because at that point I didn't feel like sending it back again), but when the waitress asked how it was, I said, "Well, to be honest, it was burnt, unseasoned, and overcooked." She did apologize, but I never saw the manager again (I'm assuming the waitress didn't even bother to tell her) Another member of our party ordered a combination dish that was supposed to come with "wasabi salmon, California roll, coconut shrimp, and seaweed salad." When it arrived, it mysteriously included some form of shrimp wantons that tasted they were filled with pork in them (an unpleasant surprise for this person because she doesn't eat pork). My fiance and I eat at Patriot Place about 2-3 times a month. We have been to Skipjack's there before, and I unfortunately can't say that this was an isolated incident. The last time we went with my parents, my mother had to send her salmon back because it was raw in the middle. The prices are outrageous when compared to the quality of the food and the service. They did give me and the other woman our meals for free because of the problems, but coming in at $24 for broiled fish that was unseasoned, overcooked, and dried, it was definitely not worth it. On top of that, free or not free, the fact that they served it in the way they did shows that they have little pride in what they're putting out. It was not difficult to notice it was overcook. The sides of the dish were burnt completely black. For 10 people, they still made about an undeserved $400 on us. Just as a final note, I've never had a bad meal at Legal Seafood in the years I've been going there. As Skipjack's number one competitor in the particular category, I'd recommend going to Legal if you have any inclination of going to Skipjack's. The prices are about the same, but the food is much better, and the service at Skipjack's was just abysmal. There are much better places in Patriot Place. Bar Louie, CBS Scene are cheaper and much better. Davio's is more expensive, but worth the price. There's not much that saves Skipjack's, and when you're done, you're out a lot of money for a lousy meal.

Awesome oysters!! And I'm not even an oysters fan! The atmosphere is beautiful and we always except to see a Patriots player or two when we're in there. We ordered the clam chowder, a dozen Blue Point oysters, and the baja fish tacos. Everything was amazing. Great for date night.

The food is good and the service is excellent. The manager came over to check on everything. The decor is really strange and the music is too loud. It is one of the best (if only) sushi bars in the area. Pricey, as is the Boston location.

The best ever Ginger Sea Bass!!!! I couldn't wait to go back, so I took my Dad for his 72 birthday and he said it was the best he has ever tasted too!!! They are very nice there too. My Dad has sensitive hearing so we asked if the music could be turned down at lunch time and they placed us in an area that was quieter and I saw them turn the music down. wonderful day!

Loved the food, the ambiance, the service and the experience. We went there on a Friday night with a few people from work and although the place was very busy, we were seated quickly and were not rushed at all. Our server (Matt, I think) was very good giving some non-seafood lovers great tips and choices on how to start liking seafood. he recommended the buffalo shrimp and the rhode island calamari for appetizers which were a huge hit at the table. The main courses were pretty good too and the manager made it a point to come and ask us about how everything was and invited us back the following Wednesday for all you can eat lobster at 29.99. I am definitely going back!

The food is good at Skipjacks in Foxboro, but the reservation process is awful. Walkins get preference over reservations made online. We went here to relax and have fun, not to be dismissed and ignored. There are plenty of other places nearby with better quality service.

Stayed at the Renaissance at Patriot Place and hoofed it down to Skipjacks because I was looking for some seafood. The outside dining area was kinda' cheezy looking with ugly orange chairs- looked like a cafeteria. No problem, I popped in and sat at the bar. Service was quick and very good. Bartender was quick with the drinks and dinner menu. Ordered the mahi mahi/ teriyaki with asian noodles in peanut sauce. Food came quick and the mahi mahi was very good. The noodles were awful....completely overpowered by the peanut sauce. All told, not too bad. Skipjacks worked for me as a biz traveler.

(2)John F.
(5)Brian W.
(2)Angela P.
(4)Brad S.

Excellent food. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Will definitely eat her again next time I'm in town.

(5)Elizabeth T.

20 min. for appetizer at the bar on slow night??????
(3)Andrea B.
Stopped in for lunch based on coworker's recommendations. Service was friendly & attentive. Seafood minestrone! Don't let the price steer you away. It is worth every penny! Absolutely delicious. Bento Box was just the right amount of each item. Will return and definitely would recommend this place.
(5)Patrick D.
(3)Dave M.
(3)Joe N.

Went for lunch. Amazing food, drinks and service! I had a mojito, and swordfish tip salad off the lunch menu. Very good! I had 2 toddlers with me and they were very accommodating!
(5)Ross N.
(4)Susan M.
(5)Keith B.
(3)Jonathan D.

(2)Ed H.
Nice atmosphere. The food was so so. I expected more form a seafood place in the Boston area. The staff was friendly and attentive. Patriot Place is ridiculous to navigate. The only reason I would go back is the same reason I went there in the first place: A customer suggested it.
(3)Spencer T.
Great menu, service, selection. Wedge salad is wonderful. Crab cake hits the spot and well presented. Drinks are good and balanced with cost. Key lime dessert is amazing! Ask for it with added fruits on the side!
(4)Seth T.
(2)Jonathan M.

Food good. Not great service. Give away my debit card to another customer.

Great place to ear. Good service good food good atmosphere. Service was great. I will go back
(4)Richard R.

I'm a fan!
(4)SL M.

(1)Dave R.

(4)Lisa W.

(3)Lori Z.

(2)Elizabeth S.
The bartender topped off my drink with a slosh of just-opened champagne, then drank from the bottle, spilled every liquor he poured, dropped a glass, and kept touching his crotch. Meh, guess it's what you'd expect for pre-concert nosh.
(2)Joseph E.
(3)Wendy L.
(4)Jeanette M.

(4)Jorge Z.
(4)Steven P.

Really.
(2)Linda D.

(2)Kath A.

(5)Susan S.
(3)Jackie H.

(4)Nick K.
(2)Cara B.

(4)Sarah C.
our server was great, the sushi was okay(after i ordered it they came back and told me it would be an additional 30 minutes...even though their menu says no sushi from like 230-5 or so and i ordered it at 6 pm...taste was ok, nothing amazing...at least it wasn't mushy! ) ..the thai chicken wings are delicious....beers are small for the price and are served in cheap plastic cups which i am not a fan of) ..... the worst thing about that place is the music...i LOVE loud music, however it was soo loud i could hardly talk to my date, or even hear the server .and plus it was so loud i just wanted to get out of there before my meal was even over..the music they played was crappy, trendy music!! i had a few hours to kill before the game and NEEDED to leave! craziest thing is when i left, there was a huge line outside the door. .at least 20 people waiting to get served before the pats game!

Not sure I will go there again, great looking place, food was not as good as I hoped.
(1)CJ A.
(2)Andrew M.

(5)Bikram S.
Trained and knknowledgeable staff. Calamari a little too greasy, the kitchen is accommodating to special requests.

(5)Christopher F.

(4)Michael W.
Ive eaten here aproximately 6 times and it is consistently good. It is not on the menu but if you ask they will prepare a seafood minestrone which is outstanding. I also think that the fish here rivals anybody's.
(4)Sue P.
(4)Ciana T.

(4)Chris X.

(2)John W.
This is the first time I have been here. Not a fan of seafood but it was a company event. The bartender, Nicole, was very helpful with wine selection. The waiters were very attentive. The fillet Mignon was very good.
(4)Tiffany M.

AMAZING! I absolutely love this place. I usually get sushi and an entrée. The wasabi-crusted salmon was amazing. Try it, you'll love it

We've since been back a couple of times and both visits have been better in the service category. They brought back the bar food specials but unfortunately it's missing some of our favorite items.
