The fish and chips was pretty bland and dry. Another night I enjoyed the peppercorn burger with sweet potato fries. There's not a whole lot of parking around which gets pretty annoying.

BBC, I love your pub - but please PLEASE do something about the flies. The great food and fine selection of beer nearly make up for sharing my food with these winged annoyances but c'mon now - at least set each table with a fly swatter, you're killin me.

This place is perfect on a winter day on the Cape. Every time I visit my folks I must make a trip to the BBC. I love the Dahk & Stohmy cocktail (ginger beer +dark rum) with the fish & chips. Though their beer selection (British of course) is also excellent. You can sit in the warm pub and look out over the gray Vineyard Sound. Some days you can see Martha's Vineyard out in the distance. Family members swear by the sirloin stew and clam chowder, too. But I don't see any reason not to eat the fish & chips every time. They even come in Queen and King size. Beer battered. Perfect.

Great food, good atmosphere but extreamly slow service. Almost no parking.

Nothing better than going to a good towny bar on a shitty Cape Cod weekend. So good in fact, go there every night that you are staying in Falmouth. We were right down the street on Falmouth Heights and this happened to be the only close pub. I've been to the BBC in Plymouth so I knew we were in luck. The actual British beer selection was lacking but they did have Fullers Pale Ale on tap. And they do not disappoint on the Scotch selection, they had (and I had) several of my favorites. They have a huge flat screen and plenty of Sox fans to make any game worth hanging around for. And from what I can tell they have cover bands playing at least 4 nights a week, which is well, ummm, entertainment for no cover.

The food is good for a casual lunch -- great burgers, sandwiches and fun and fresh salads; however, you need patience as it takes F.O.R.E.V.E.R for food to be served. Can't beat the location though- big windows offering gorgeous views of the ocean.

Mmmm love the BBC! They're a small chain, actually, with a place in Plymouth that I tend to favor over the Falmouth location, but mmm tasty. Agree with the previous poster - the quotes are hysterical! And the pizza - yum. I like the chicken broccoli & ziti pizza myself! The only downside is the wait (what else would you expect being located smack dab in the middle of Falmouth Heights Beach) and the occasionally subpar staff (typical for a vacation spot).

if you've been to the Cape there isn't a whole to do at night as far as nightlife is concerned. British beer is a Bar/Pub across from the beach. The food is your typical bar food. Stick to the usual suspects: Nachos, burgers, Potato Skins, and The pizza. The Burgers are great, and the Pizza is awesome too! Once you stray from that type of food you may not like it. Beer/Booze is good. Priced Resonably...they have a variety on tap as well. Lots of different Ale's and Lagers. Service is ok.....On a summer weekend down the cape expect to wait an hour or so to be seated. Because its busy service can be slow. After dinner around 930-10ish the place turns into the local band hangout. They play rock, covers, and originals. Not my type of entertainment, but its packed.

I went to this place for the first time this weekend, and the food was amazing. (The chowder was to die for!) The atmosphere is great. There are hilarious quotes all over the walls. My favorite: "I may be drunk, but you're ugly and I can sober up." It is pretty kid friendly, so if that's your scene, head over there between 5-8pm. The best part is that it's right across from the beach, so whether you've been tanning all day or just want a great view, it's the place to be.

Perfect place to go on a Friday night! One of the few places in the area with a solid beer selection-- they serve their food late (until 10, I believe) and the food itself is impressive! I've been to BBC here in Falmouth several times and it's one of my favorite locations. The bar seating is sparse, which is a slight downside- but it's easy to grab a table if you get there before 10. 10 is the witching hour! People POUR in after 10, so try and get there earlyish if you're coming on a weekend night! There is usually a live band when I go and last night, the band - Pushing Play- was AMAZING!!! Best cover band I've seen in a long, long time and the lead vocalist rocked it! In terms of food, I shared apps at my table and LOVED everything I had! Lettuce wraps are incredible and portion size is huge! We couldn't finish them. Also ordered the hummus plate, which was impressive, and the blackened mahi mahi tacos. So good! We also polished off a jar of their house-made hot sauce (between the two of us) and ended up buying a bottle to go- it's THAT good. Service was particularly impressive last night. Bartender was kind enough to give us a heads up that a beer we were going to order was somewhat expensive before we ordered it (and let us sample it first to see if it was worth it) and our waiter- Jimmy- was amazing! He was super efficient- warned us that the kitchen was closing- gave us great beer reqs, and was the mastermind behind our hot sauce discovery! BBC always hits the spot- it's never a disappointment!

We stopped in here on our first night at the Cape, and it was such a great choice to kick off our mini vacation. I have not a single complaint about anything we had at all. It was great and we are considering coming here every evening for dinner for the rest of our time here. The atmosphere- Authentic British pub feel. I have been to England, and to several pubs there. The thing I found so funny was that we went to the bar for a drink while we were waiting for a table and on our right was a group of Irish guys and on our left were a couple English guys. I actually felt like I was in the UK! Anyway, the view here is right across from the ocean, and it's beautiful. The restaurant is decorated casual but tasteful, and it was really cute. Chairs were comfortable and the service was not amazing but was fine. The food- Was great!!! As was the beer selection. Beers were priced as expected, $5.00 - $5.50 a pint. We had the Buffalo Chicken dip to start ($9.95). It came with Tortilla chips and celery. We both really liked it. It had the buffalo flavor but was not super hot, so it was easy to enjoy and finish without our mouths feeling like they were on fire. Next, I had the Chicken & Ale Pie ($14.95). This came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I love asparagus so that was an unexpected surprise (it was the vegetable of the day). The potatoes also tasted great and were nice and hot. The star of the dinner was the Chicken & Ale pie. I do believe that this was the best Chicken pie I have ever had. It was piping hot, filled with chicken and veggies, and the crust was flakey and moist, but still crispy on the outside. It was perfect. The meal also came with gravy which was a nice touch. I loved this meal, loved the view, and the atmosphere. I highly recommend trying this place. My partner had the Shepard's Pie Pasty ($13.95) and he loved it as well.

Great view, good food, decent selection of beer, terrible service. That's the short of it anyways. A decent pub but Falmouth has much better to offer. Hostess told us it would be a 20 minute wait when we came in, 45 minutes later we were seat at a table that was broken, so after waiting to be re seated we final got a chance to order beer and food. They have a decent selection of beers on tap. Asked the waitress for suggestions and she had no clue what any of them were, so we just got what looked good. The beer came in generic plastic glasses, which is disappointing for a place that considers itself a traditional pub. Fortunately the food was well made. They have all the classic pub dishes, fish and chips or shepherd's pie are both good choices, well cooked and with fresh ingredients. That said it's hard to recommend this place recommend when Falmouth has so much better to offer.

3 stars for the location/view and the great beer. Service would be a 1 star; our server was a larger 20-something brunette gal with glasses. If you get her, switch, and you may have a better experience. She was slow (25 mins between seating and getting a drink on the table, and the place was dead), unenthusiastic, didn't check on us, and was just rude overall. She managed to piss everyone off with her first visit to the table by insinuating that my 37 year old boyfriend had a fake ID. The hostess was nice though... Did I mention the view?

Not a single complaint by anyone in the family. Beer is reasonably priced and cold, and there are at least 12 different drafts! Atmosphere isn't too crowded. It gets busy around dinnertime, but I still feel there was more room to wiggle than in your typical cape cod restaurant. Service was actually very good, despite the dinner rush. Lots of TVs if you're into that. On to the food! We ordered both the beer chili and the clam chowder, and all agreed both were quite tasty (chowder was a little runnier than I prefer). The beer chili was loaded up with meat and served with tortilla chips, which was a great idea. My meal was the bison burger which was juicy and had a delicious gamey taste to it. Sister ordered the fish and chips which was the best looking I've ever seen, and consisted of one giant piece of fried cod. Tartar sauce was homemade and not too garlicky, perfect. Mother ordered the steak and ale pie which came with mashed potatoes and a big gravy dish. To top this feast off, my brother ordered the chicken tikka masala which enveloped the table in a rich curry smell and had everyone's mouth watering before the first bite. We will be coming back one more time before we head home to Michigan!

They've got it this year. The Mother's Day special was really good. Over the top even. Someone put thought and time into the menu. And it was well executed too. The desert could have been pulled out of the freezer sooner. It was very hard but good. We find the waitresses very friendly.like a real pub. Even the new young hostesses are nice.

  • M R.

Ok, maybe because I have traveled extensively in the British Isles, but this is a pub in name only. Beers ok, food ok, busy night and food was ok. Beers a bit on expensive side for what is available in town.

  • Amber M.

The location is great for a nice drive on the coast then stop here! I only sat at bar and had a drink but I observed the many meals as they come out the kitchen and they looked great! Obviously the beer selection was awesome! Very friendly staff, casual environment. Great Pub!

I wish I Iiked this place. It's a great location with views of the beach and seemed like a great place to get comfortable and cozy. However the wait was super long and way over what they stated. Then we had an awful waitress. Ordered clam chowder and she completely forgot about it until I reminded her when the meals came. Slow with our beers and failed to get our empty beer glasses until very late. Several empty glasses left. One of my companions got tea which came much later after everyone else's drinks. She barely got to order it because the waitress kept running away before we could finish! Waitress also failed to ask 2 out of the 3 people what they wanted for sides for their sandwiches. Just one of the worst service experiences ever... The good news is that they had a great beer selection. Shipyard Pumpkin is amazing with cinnamon rimmed on the glass. Food was only ok. No one raved about theirs. Clam chowder was delicious but my appetizer lettuce wraps were mediocre. There was no sense or theme to the toppings offered. Cole slaw? Mango salsa? Sweet chili sauce? Guacolomole? It was just bizarre. Would go there again for drinks at the bar (bartenders were great during our wait) but not to sit in the dining area for food.

Went for a family dinner, party of six. I called ahead and they said they did not take reservations so that was disappointing. We went for an early dinner and our wait was about 15 minutes, which wasn't too bad. The food was good and reasonably priced. The Mahi Mahi tacos were spicy but not overwhelming. The burger was also cooked to order. The kids Mac and cheese (not from a box!) was delicious. I will be back next time we visit Falmouth.

The food here was delicious! We got the Fish & Chips and buffalo wings. Both were excellent. The tap beers they offer are also very good. Comfortable atmosphere and excellent service. We will definitely come back.

I've been here 5 or 6 times. The most recent visit was the only disappointing visit. In a nutshell, don't get the Chicken Tikka Masala - if you want good Indian food, go to an Indian restaurant. I was especially disappointed because the waitress said it was "really good" - I guess that's what I get for depending on the server's word. Other than this one experience, the food has thus far been very tasty and you can't beat the views.

We went on a Sunday afternoon. I've been dying to try this place as it's always busy and seems to be the only place I want to dine at in the area. Not found of British accents but Beer I am! It was a smiggen of a disappointment but not a place I would shun and never go back. I mean NO accented barmaids.. no freaking queen or the hottie princess Kate.. but yes, beer! Sat in the bar area where it was quiet. Restaurant was hopping and staff were attentive and busy. There was no hostess at the door when we entered so we were not sure we could sit at the bar seats but ultimately discovered we could, First come first serve. Waiter was fine, a lil staid but good (could he have been British with an American accent, no!)... beer was good, really good thirst quenching Dark and Stormy to start and followed up with some more drinks and red wine and some Rum and Orange juice thingy for the table. Nachos were ok but we had such a great time we'll be back regardless of the Nachos.

I do not appear to have ever written a review for this location before. It has a look and feel to it that is just unmistakable and quite different from the other shops I have been under the name. It seems on the tough side, which is just perfect for this location. You look out the main window and you are looking at Martha's Vineyard, quite a view to have while having your dinner and a few beers or wine. It sounds a bit strange to say it that way, but it really is quite extraordinary. I had the beef pie and my date had the beef tips cooked medium rare. In sampling each other's plates, I must say that her tips were simply magnificent. I can't believe they did a better job on them than Sandwich, but they did. My English style meat pie was superb, this is really something they do so well with this company and I am happy to report it was perfect. As for the beers I chose the Dogfish first and then happily went with the Cape Cod Red shortly afterwards. Both were solid to have with the Cape Cod Red clearly the master and the wonder to go with the meat pie. Strange how the Cape beers from several companies are just a wonder to taste and thoroughly enjoy no matter who is presenting your supper.

Good beer selection. Place was crowed for a Tuesday night in April. Quahog was terrible. Very dry, definitely started frozen and mostly bread crumbs. I took one bite and didn't indulge further. The waitress didn't ask why it was sent back barely touched. Doubtful the Fish n' chips are fresh as well, most likely started out frozen before being dropped in the fry-o-lator. Not a great effort for a pub that has "Britain" in the title of the restaurant. Lettuce wraps with Shrimp were so-so. Mango salsa was not fresh either and the shredded carrots were not freshly grated. I suspect they may have been either purchased grated or just on the way to being stale. Order pasta with Broccoli and butter for my 3yr old. Received the pasta short the Broccoli. If you're an Olive Garden/Red Lobster fan this is going to be just fine for you. If not, skip it altogether as it's not worth the effort.

We were staying at the inn next door, and decided to walk over for a drink and dinner, not expecting it to be very busy as we were going off season (April). The place was packed with what seemed like locals, which was the first good sign. I got a cosmo and my husband got one of the microbrews. Cosmos can be tricky, and mine was fantastic. The macaroni and cheese with scallops was fantastic, and the buffalo wings were spot on. The wings were spicy, but not too spicy. This is an "old cape cod" type of place. Not fancy, but really really a nice feel to it. Live music was about to start after we left, as there was a band setting up. Great experience!

Great food for a great price. The New England Pasty is everything you would want in a pasty. Turkey, and cornbread, cranberry sauce and gravy. I was really pleased with the steak tips. The bubble and squeak was delish!! I'll be visiting again that's for sure!

  • Holli B.

We went in and decided top have pizza. It was pleasantly surprisingly good! The Buffalo Chicken had just enough heat but not overbearing. The Fenway was good as well. The kids had fish and chips, they loved them. Priced well, view over the ocean was great. Trivia night was fun too! Well worth the stop.

We came in here for just bloody Mary's before we hit the beach across the way. The Mary was very good but this place is really more about the location. It's really casual and you get to drink/eat and have a view of the ocean for a very reasonable price.

I really enjoyed everything we had from here and the quiet cozy atmosphere with an ocean view was perfect. We went in the off season a few days after Christmas so I don't know what it turns into during summer. We got a fish and chips sandwich which was really crisp and tasty, the chicken pot pie which was delicious, and the mad hatter club which was also very good. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable for the location and food. As a bar it looks like a calm local place for enjoying many different ales, conversation, and sports games on several different tvs.

Great food poor service. Had to wait ten minutes for a server after being seated on a slow afternoon while they stood around and talked. Food came fast after ordering and was good. Waited again a long time for check and change. Typical of this location its expected.

It is nice to find a restaurant open, with a view of the water, on a Monday night in late October. We were seated at a table in the bar and waited for our dinner table to be ready. After getting served our drinks (I was the only one drinking beer -- I had the Cape Cod Amber), we decided to order and eat our dinners in the bar. My wife ordered the Shepherd's Pie Pasty, my daughter ordered a Bison Burger and I ordered the Fish 'n' Chips. The service was prompt, the meals were served piping hot and were all delicious. We would definitely go back, especially on a Monday night in the off season.

Ate there 7/28/14 for dinner. Food was good, except entree not served with all the itmes described on the menu and when I questioned the server, she replied that they were 'out of' them. So, I should have been told this up front when I ordered. Service was deplorable. 50 minutes to get our meals (fish and chips?bangers and mash?). Come on it doesn't take that long to heat up frozen fish. No offer to comp an appetizer or dessert or drink while we waited. Server never returned to the table once food was served to ask if everything was ok. Never asked for additional drink orders or never refilled sodas. She needs to be trained.

  • Melissa M.

We had the bacon burger and baby back ribs. Yum! The burger was cooked perfectly and was everything I could ask for in a burger. I wish I would have asked for mashed potatoes or sweet potato fries instead of both dishes with fries. We had the calamari for the appetizer and while it was delicious, it was a small portion for $9.99. It is sweet and sour so it was cooked with peppers and tomato chunks. Very tasty. Our waiter Sean was amazing and very attentive. We were excited to see the other room was being used for paint nite, we just signed up for a session. Had a great time and looking forward to having that burger again very soon!

OK for lunch. The place came across as a chain like Fridays. Lots of brick-a-brack and trying to look English but ended up looking like how an English pub would look at Epcot center. Servers were teenagers/young college kids working for the summer. They didn't seem to concerned about anything. Food was OK at best. Location and view was OUTSTANDING.

I don't know what some people are talking about on here but I have been to this British Beer Co. restaurant three times now and every single time I have had a great experience. The first time I came here I had the fish and chips and my friend ordered the personal pizza. The beer battered fish was the size of the plate and it came with seasoned fries, onion rings and coleslaw. Needless to say I couldn't finish the entire thing so I brought some of it home with me. I also had a cup of the clam chowder which was some of the best on the Cape. I tried a piece of my friends pizza and it was perfect. The second time I went, again I had the clam chowder and then for dinner had the Pot Roast dinner. I have never had pot roast melt in my mouth like this meat did. The gravy added a nice texture to the meat along with the nicely sauted veggies. Overall its the best pot roast I have ever had. My friend had the pizza and got the 2nd one free because it was tuesday. I would go here again and again because the food is fabulous and the beers are great. Those who talk bad about this place should be a little more specific since saying it was fair or bad is a cop out and more than likely false information.

Sorry this is an inflated review. The food is just ok. I am very biased here in that I am a big fan of Guinness and this is the only place (tragically) that I've ever been to that put a cloverleaf in my foam. I thought I was crazy. I had to ask the bartender if I was seeing things. He got a 200% tip. I'm a routine 20% tipper unless I hate the service in which case I "punish them" with 15% .. never gave a 200% tip before. Really impressive and good enough reason to go.

Went to get some drinks here while we stayed at hotel down the street. This bar will always be known to us as the bar where "we met the dude that looks exactly like Taylor Lautner." We had a good time here. Having a couple. okay a couple dozen beers with the Lautner double and relaxing. It is right across from the ocean which we decided to venture over to after a few and take some very interesting pictures. For some reason I believed that I was a Kate Uptons double all of a sudden in these pictures. I don't know about the food but we had a great experience which can never be repeated. We like this bar and if we come back on another vacation then we will probably venture back looking for the Lautner double again.

Yay I love the BBC! I am living right down the street from Falmouth Heights this winter because my SO is working in WoodsHole for a few months. Since having the baby we don't get out much and time of day depends on babies schedule. Sometimes getting out on a Sunday afternoon and having a delectable pastry puff shepard pie on a cold winter day, sipping mad elf ale on tap, and watching a Pens game in the bar is all a tired lady's heart desires! We brought visiting friends here over New Years to sit at the huge picture window to watch the ocean with an empty beach and sip some dark and stormies to warm us that cold day. The atmosphere is casual and inviting and everyone has that positive, proud, energy living in such a coveted location. I would say order anything on the menu I have never had a complaint. The summer is packed as expected but taking a motorcycle ride on a hot day up the coast, passing beach after beach then reaching your destination of mussels and a cold draft beer, well there's nothing like it! The selection is top notch and rotates frequently. After your visit take a walk and listen to the ocean waves and breathe in that salty sandy air.

4/1/14 We were there on a Tuesday night & had to wait about 20 minutes or so. Come to find out, it was buy one pizza, get one for half-price night. I don't know why they didn't seat us, though. A family of three came in after us & were seated in the back room before us. We were only a party of two and were eventually put back there, and there were other empty tables in that room. We had the chili with multi-colored tortilla chips to start. That was the major highlight of our visit. The chili was delicious and the chips tasted like homemade. For the main course, I ordered the bourbon steak tips. Although they were cooked medium as I had asked, they just didn't have much of a meat-y flavor. It was almost as if they weren't fresh. The cheddar mashed potatoes were pretty blah. The fried green beans were interesting, but I didn't want to eat too many of them. My boyfriend liked them, though. For me, the flavor got kind of weird after a few. My boyfriend decided to do the pizza deal. The dough was very lightly cooked and almost looked like syrian bread. He liked the pepperoni pizza. The other he ordered was called the North End. He had it without the broccoli. He said it was kind of bland. The funniest part was that they brought him one pizza only. He asked where the other one was. They said they had put it in a box. Other people eating seemed to have them both out at the table! He said he didn't want it in a box....he wanted to have some of both! They then brought it out to him. We ate here one other time over a year ago. I remember I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala because I like Indian food. Don't do it. It's not like real Indian restaurant Chicken Tikka Masala. I think part of this restaurant's problem is they are trying to do to many things, offering way too many different choices. Don't think we'd rush to go again, other than to get chili.

Diggin this place. I ordered the Curious Pumpkin beer and it was excellent...just a hint of pumpkin. Great for an October afternoon. Excellent chowder...extra thick with lots of potatoes and clams. The lobster bisque was okay...nothing special. It was a tad too soupy and sweet for me. The lobster roll was very good. The biggest one I've had on Cape Cod so far. Huge chunks of lobster with a mayo, celery and red onion sauce, which wasn't overbearing. I may have done without the onion though and the bun could've been a little bit more buttery.

The view at this addition to the BBC line is AMAZING. For the most part, two of these stars comes from the layout and view, especially on a nice sunny day, when you can walk outside directly onto the beach. The food is pretty classic pub fare... I'll put it this way. When I asked about a pot pie they had, the waitress told me everyone she knew who ordered it had sent it back, and then when I ordered my second choice, a Thanksgiving-style turkey pasty, it was sliced deli turkey, instant-tasting mashed potatoes, and mashed up cornbread for stuffing inside.... with a side of canned cranberry sauce and slightly stale potato chips.... Also, my black and tan had ZERO definition and was blended together... Boo. On the other hand, the Clam Chowder wasn't half bad (and thats from a life long coastal new englander.)

Had bangers and mashed and it was pretty good. The waitress seemed to be having an off night, though. I'd go back.

Came in this evening for my husbands bday, just the two of us. Haven't been here in a couple years but he was excited to go to this location. We waited 30 min for a table as it was busy around 8pm... They had a beer sponsor in and the sales guy was friendly. When we sat we ordered an app and waited and waited and waited... It came and looked like it had sat for a few minutes. For our dip we had 8 chips. That's it 8. We asked for more chips and waters and 15 minutes later the chips came no water. We asked twice more for waters and one arrived. My food was good, I got the Mac and cheese with scallops. The scallops were a little dry but to be expected if the pastas continued to cook them. My husbands burger was cooked well even though he requested it medium. We never saw the waitress again. She actually avoided eye contact. We heard nearby tables complaining and getting compensation off their bills or apologies. No one apologized to us and $70 later we are on our way home... Food was good (would be better if cooked correctly) service was thhhhhe worst!

Before reading this, just remember that British Beer Co (BBC) is what it is - a pub style restaurant. Thus, you'll find no shortage of fried options. With that disclaimer out of the way, we really enjoyed this place tonight. After all the years spending weeks on end every summer here in Falmouth, we've never given this local haunt a try. If you're like us, I strongly suggest you make this a stop on one of your next nights out. We arrived with three kids and six adults, ranging in age from 39-84, one of whom has a gluten-restricted diet, and BBC had something for everyone - healthy options and let's say less health conscious alike. We all shared the nachos (awesome!) and the lettuce wraps, both of which were excellent. Personally, I opted for their pizza with a whole wheat crust and I'm here to say that it's one of the best pizzas on the Cape - I did not expect that! My wife's gluten-free pizza was excellent too, enough so that she said upon leaving that we now have a gluten-free source for summers to come. Everyone else had fish and chips, lobster and a couple other dishes and all raved about their meal, including the kids who all had something different and all raved too. The BBC has a great selection of beers, but when a couple of us tried to veer off and get some cocktails, it was disappointment all around. Clearly mixed drinks are not their strong suit. Try their extensive beer selection, though, and you'll be very pleased. One note that was likely an issue of timing and probably not endemic to their operation, but they were out of a few favorites that we wanted to order. Our server explained that they had been without power for several days due to hurricane Irene, and hence the limited selections. Otherwise, the menu is pretty extensive and worth trying out.

My review is strictly based on the service and drinks. I did not try the food. My friends and I were at the beach and wanted to grab a few drinks so we headed over to British Beer Co since it is right across the street. We were visiting the Cape so most of us were out of towners. The bartender came over to take our order and ID'd us all. Since we were out of towners though we had to show a second form of ID, according to her it was the state law of MA. Well since we were at the beach, I only had cash and my ID. So she would not serve me, even though I am way older than 21 and all of my friends were able to order. She insisted it was a state law and there was no way around it. This was annoying but I thought meh okay fine I am not going to let it ruin our time. However, she proceeded to ignore us and then when my friend ordered a drink special that was written on the board, the bartender told her that there were no specials and she was unable to make her that drink... ummm really?... then why is it written on the board? She was terrible, and really ruined our experience at this place, we left after one drink. By the way, I was never asked for a second form of ID while in MA- so much for her "state law" comment.

My husband and I ate here this past Friday night (4/12/13) and were seated right away. The parking situation isn't that great, but we lucked out with a person leaving their spot. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Dip with tri-colored tortilla chips; it was soo good, although I do prefer shredded chicken in the dip versus cubes. Still, I'd definitely order it again. I ordered the Fish Tacos for dinner and loved them. There was a nice assortment of fillings and the fish was tasty. Only complaint is that the amount of fish they put in the actual tacos is pretty small. I only could eat one after sharing the dip with my husband! My husband got some turkey pastry dish. He cleaned his plate... This place is great for a casual meal and a good beer. We will definitely be back.

We have been to the BBC in Hyannis, Norwood and Franklin and we have enjoyed our experiences at each, however, changes in the menu from our old favorites have left us somewhat disappointed. We were getting together with some friends down in the Falmouth area and they suggested the BBC in Falmouth. We all met there and from drinks to meal everything was less than disappointing. More than half of the draft beer menu was not available. I ordered the special- lobster quesadilla. When it came to the table, there were 4 sections of quesadilla no salsa, quac, lettuce onions nothing not even a garnish. The most surprising part was that one of the sections contained no lobster, the other three contained less than the claw chopped up in about 6 pieces. I asked the waitress if this was correct that it only contained this amount. She said yes that is right. Hmmm for 15.00 dollars??? Are you kidding me? My husband ordered a turkey burger with a side of onion rings and fried green beans. It came to the table with just the green beans as a side. He asked her where were the onion rings and she said look there's one on your sandwich. He told her that he asked her for the side of onion rings as well as green beans for a side and she seemed to be upset. He waited and waited for his beer that he ordered. She came back to the table asked if there was anything else we might want he asked her where was the beer he ordered oh I forgot it.. and we have a new bartender on and half of the draft beer menu is not available and this and that... Our friends were surprised that something was just "off " with the place that night. I left less than a 10% tip walked out and we went to the restaurant across the street and had a prime rib dinner complete for 15.00 dollars and was well worth it!!!!!!! Not going back to BBC.

There's a good combination of pub food and dinner fare here. Something for everyone and they have a gluten free menu. Buy one get one free pizza on tuesdays in the winter. I like their selection of beer and cider and the atmosphere is pretty low key in the winter. In the summer this place is incredibly crowded, but in the winter you can typically get a seat quickly. Still, it can be worth the wait for some reasonably priced pub food that is also tasty.

A- OK for views, beer menu, clean loo and nice staff..oh and the super warm fireplace..eh for the tuna sashimi....was on a date so it was amazing no matter what I ate.. :)

I had the flat iron steak and my wife the turkey tips. Both were very tasty and a good value for the price. The cheddar mashed potatoes were exceptional. Atmosphere was very welcoming and comfortable. Several gluten free option were listed on the menu. the key lime pie was the perfect way to top off this excellent meal. We will be back!

The appeal of the British Beer Company was too much to pass up on a recent Falmouth trip. My friends like pub food, it was close to our weekend accommodations, and I'm always excited to try a new gluten-free friendly place. I ordered the North End pizza assuming I'd get a small pizza that I'd have no trouble finishing. The pizza was large (good), but the crust was not...crusty. It was actually kind of gummy and dense. Yes, it was gluten-free, but the industry has made SO MUCH progress over the past few years and so many places do gluten-free pizza so well that many of my dining companions can hardly taste a difference. Anyway, I could only finish a few slices before I had to give up. Our waitress must have been having a rough night, because she made some salty comment about my pizza being "as good as it gets for gluten-free, right?" Um, actually, no. Everyone else liked their meals, and the bar was quite busy later on in the evening. There was dancing and Sox game watching and 9 Falmouth cop cars showed up when a fight broke out. All in all, an eventful evening.

The food as always was great. I got the fish n chips. It was AMAZING. Nice and crispy and fried perfectly. The fries were great and sweet and the onion rings were crispy and perfectly battered. Not a bad deal for $13 The place still has some of the best pizza in town. The Buffalo and BBQ chicken pizzas are just awesome. The sweet potato fries are addicting and the wings always hit the spot right. They added BBQ finally. Their steak tips are pretty juicy and filling. Always cooked and cut right with a great marinade. Most drafts cost around $4 and up. They have a hell of a selection. The Cape Cod draft is a interesting choice. They always have a great selection of English brews (hence British Beer Co) and mix drinks. Check it out if staying in the area and want a fun place to go. Like I said before in my previous post, they are connected to a nice place to stay over called the Seaside Inn, very nice spot. Right by the beach and other shops and restaurants. They always have live music mostly every night in the summer. Flydown is the top act to see. Always a good and fun show when they perform. Easily the best place in Falmouth for a night out with friends or looking to pick up someone.

BBC is a pub which is connected to the Seaside Inn in Falmouth. Pretty nice view of the ocean across the street. In many ways it's a very typical New England pub, but personally I think it's a notch above most other places. The food quality was really very good, with everything having just a little something to set it apart from typical bar food. Excellent fries (and fried sweet potato slices), but everyone is all about the onion rings here. We tried the appetizer sampler, and pretty much everything was delicious. The food was also very good, and everyone was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was polite and attentive enough, but nothing special to note about the service here. Even though this place is a bit out of the way, it does get pretty busy at dinner time.

The food was delish and the sweet potatoe fries were so crispy! I got the chipotle chicken avocado BAP and sweet potato fries. We ordered take out so I don't know what the sit down service was like, but the atmosphere was chill and relax. The music was great. The prices were very reasonable. We ordered our food w/ the hostess; she seemed a bit stressed but remained professional. I would definitely go back; and recommend BBC to my friends and family.

Ruben is great w/ onion rings of course! Service is great. Our server notified us just before our meal was about to come out that our appetizer was put in wrong & would be coming out with the meal. So why am I only giving it 3-stars? The beer selection is (more) limited & much more expensive than my local BBC (in Framingham, MA). I guess that's what you get for going to a chain in a tourist spot (on the Cape).

We stopped by on a rainy Saturday and the place was a perfect compensation for the miserable weather outside. Our server, a charming lady in thickly framed glasses, let us know with a smirk that the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg rimmed glass of Shipyard Pumpkinhead is affectionately known as "the rim job." She also was quick to offer me a free sampler of a beer before I decided to order a full pint. The draft list was much better than most and while we didn't order much food, what we ordered was amazing: a mountain of nachos crowned with a tortilla-boat of salsa.

The sandwiches are okay; I like their reuben. Sometimes there's live music, and all of the crusty Cape townies come out in their mid-life-crisis splendor to bop around and puke off the boardwalk. The waitstaff is really attentive and the bartenders are speedy and skilled. (It's best in the summer, when all the kids are busting their asses to pay fall's tuition.) One time I watched an elderly guy totter out the front door, across the street, and fall clean off the boardwalk onto the sand while I was walking my dog; I went to help him up and he offered me a hit off his blunt. BBC gets extra points for that alone.

What can I say? I loved it here, right down to the little Union Jack flags they stuck in my delicious veggie wrap. Everything was fresh and made to order. The atmosphere is what I hoped it would be... as close to an authentic English pub as possible with fantastic views of the ocean. The only downfall was the shortage of parking.

Fun, good beer selection and pizza. English pub atmosphere. Awesome ocean view and beach access. Easy to get to also.

This place is super duper towney Cape. Except for the fact that its named the British Beer Co. that's not very Capey'. The location is perfect. And when you are starving and want to pound a few beers, here's the place to do it. The people there have been there forever and know what they're doing. The brie appetizer and salad selection is something serious. If you are going to be on the Cape may I suggest trucking it to Turo or P-town? but if you somehow land in Falmouth this place will not disappoint.

I'm sure if our needs were for a pub or just for eating dinner, this place would've been fine. However, we were in search of nightlife which is incredibly hard to find in March on the cape. the BBC came recommended to us by a number of different people. When we arrived, there was a band playing hard rock - some songs more familiar than others. For example, they closed with rage against the machine's "killing in the name"....awkward.... They get three stars instead of two because its located right on the beach and because their staff is attentive and their beer selection is great. In terms of fun though, it really only gets one star.

lordy lordy this place fits me like a shoe! Delicous yet unpretentous and fun always at the bar, game or no game.. suggest steak tips, ruben sandwch, any of the pizza ( amazing pizza) or a good night at the bar with a close bunch of friends. ( I ran into my 3rd grade teacher there!) Good for lunch or dinner and never too busy. Good for kids and groups, the service is perfect and friendly and staff is very knowledable. Must try in Falmouth

This is the first in my series of reviews of pizza-serving establishments on the upper Cape. Nice location on the beach near Falmouth Heights. We rolled in here at 6:30 pm on 'buy-one-get-one' night and waited 20 minutes for a table. Meantime, we sampled a couple of their draught brews: Dogfish 90 minute IPA and a Seadog Hazelnut Porter. The beers were quite good and barkeeps attentive. Sitting down, we debated the specialty pies among our group and settled on four: the 'Fenway' (sausage, onions, peppers), a spinach mushroom job, the 'Wowee Mowee' (chorizo and pineapple), and the 'Over 21' (sliced beef, onion, green peppers, drizzled with bourbon). Bottom line, in each case the crust was thin and sodden. The table also reached consensus that the spinach mushroom and Over 21 were overly sweet; little or no tomato sauce left them without acid or tang. The other two were better, but the lack of decent crust was an insurmountable hurdle. Here's hoping there's better pizza than this on the Cape.

Good place to get wasted on a stormy winter afternoon. Avoid the food except when you need to soak up some of the booze sloshing in your stomach.

So, unfortunately I was laid off back in the beginning of December, which is why I am able to write a lot more reviews than I normally would.. Todays review, The BBC in Falmouth, Mass. I got up this morning, gorgeous out and decided to hop in the car and drive. I made my war from Pawtucket, RI to Falmouth, Mass right to the waters edge. I made my way down the beach and in to the BBC. The inside decor is rather run down, borderline hideous, but the outside view is spectacular. I was about to order the turkey with mayo/cranberry dressing and stuffing.. However, the bartender suggested the soup and turkey sandwich at half the price. So, I took him up on it. I got my food very quickly, which I am always a little skeptical when food comes out so quickly. In this case, no reason to be, the soup was a beef barley, little heavy on the salt, but overall very delicious. The sandwich was very good. I would say the mayo/cranberry dressing tasted more like a honey mustard sauce but it was very good. I enjoyed a Sam Adams Noble Pilsner with my lunch and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend the BBC.. Side Note.. Bartender was an older gentlemen, very friendly and supplied very good service.
