Last night was my first visit to Halftime. We had the buffalo chicken Nachos and Portuguese Steak subs. Overall the food was very good and the bartender and waitstaff were very helpful and nice. However, the restaurant and bar are too brightly lit; it's a bar not a doctors office. Feels like you are under spot lights the whole time you are eating, so the atmosphere is not very cozy and I would not recommend it for date night. My only other complaint is the lack of a decent beer selection. Where some people may be happy that they stock every single variety of Budweiser products (even the ones in metal bottles as the bartender cheerfully boasted), I would appreciate something approaching a craft brew. I may go back again as there are not too many restaurants in the area that serve food until 11pm, but it will not be my first choice.

One star is generous for this place. You'd think being under management, it'd be a lot better. We went with some friends for our first time there. Our waitress happened to be the manager. While taking our orders I asked if their hamburger buns contained Sesame Seeds. She said she didn't know(you'd think a manager would know this kind of thing), so she said she would check for me. She took the rest of the tables order and then left. She never came back to let me know and I ended up having to give my order to the bartender. We got mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. You could tell they were frozen. It was difficult to bite through the cheese. Then our friends never received their appetizer. For our entrees my husband and I ordered the buffalo mac and cheese and our friends ordered a pizza. The mac and cheese was bland from the box kraft mac and cheese and our friends pizza crust was like cardboard. The food also made my poor husband sick. Had zero substance to it. It took forever to get her back to the table too. Stay away from this place. Trust me.

New owner and this place stinks, I used to come here all the time, I sit down order a draft beer I see the guy mix two different beer bottles and pour into my cup, I asked for draft not bottle, I asked him why I'm getting bottled beer and he said his manager said to use bottled beer. So needless to say I walked out, so much for a new owner. Never coming back

My husband and I came in because I got a Groupon type of coupon. The place was empty at 2:00 on a Tuesday, but we said we'd tryout out anyway. Our server/bartender was very friendly and assisted us immediately. We ordered the onion rings as an app. The girl brought us a plate of hand battered onion rings and recommended the hot mayo as a dip. The rings were awesome. 5 minutes later, she brought another steaming plate of rings and said "round two". Excellent! Where do you get 2 piping hot plates of onion rings? Awesome. I ordered the Portuguese steak with salad and fries. How you cook a 1/4 inch steak to a perfect medium, I don't know, but the chef did it for me. It was delicious. My husband had the turkey club and said it was perfect. The fries were fresh and delicious as well. ( to those reviewers who complain about frozen cheese sticks....all cheese sticks are frozen). I will definitely come back....

My mother and I went out for a meal to celebrate my birthday and we figured we'd take a chance on a new place. I'm extremely glad we did. I ordered the beer battered fish and chips and my mother ordered the chicken Marsala. I received a huge piece of fish and more French fries than I could possibly eat. I took over half of it home. It was really delicious, and not overly greasy like some fish and chip can be. The staff was very friendly and so attentive, I got everything seemingly exactly as I thought to ask for it. My mom mentioned to our waiter, Donald, that it was my birthday and he was nice enough to give me my after dinner cappuccino for free. The cappuccino was so so to be honest, but I can be a bit picky with my coffee. Also they were having a Wednesday trivia night with a really personable DJ. I couldn't stick around for too long but it looked fun. All around it was a great meal and I will definitely be going back.

Sad to say, this place was my "go to" for a while, especially for the portuguese steak pizza. Was completely amazing. Please note I said "was". So, I have been talking up this incredible pizza for a while at work (East Providence) and yesterday, I decided to go get it and bring it to work. My bad for not opening thhe box. I got back to work and this is what I saw. A shingle disguised as a pizza crust (WAY over cooked), absolutely NO cheese, big chunks of steak, three tiny little pepper pieces and a handful of egg and fries that looked like they were dropped on the damned shell. Unappettising to look at to say the least and tasted about the same. I callled and the "nice girl" told me no manager was available. I messaged twice and got no response. Hell, I even emailed. My opinion, this place is at the end of the road. Clearly they dont care or dont want my repeated business, so no problem, I'll simply go elsewhere. I advised all to do the same.

Played a gig here Friday night. I ordered a pizza. It was fantastic. Everything tasted fresh made. The cook was extremely polite and even came out to see how I liked it. Place was very clean, management and bar staff were extremely polite. I would definitely come back.
