Went today, September 6, 2015 after Mayflower Beach. Didn't go in, only to the ice cream window at the front of the building. In the past, I have eaten inside, and the food (specifically clams) have ALWAYS been great, and they bring it to you after you order, which I liked. But for the ice cream counter today, the staff were friendly and made everything I ordered correctly, yet the prices were a bit high, and they only have soft-serve. They do have Froxen Yogurt and 'Flurrys', as well. Definitely stop by this legendary Dennis spot, on Main Street. 5 stars **-1 star, for small (actually large) problem. Parking seems to be a HUGE issue here, its like bumper cars getting in and out and there wasn't ONE spot open. And all around the exits and across the street were "NO Parking or Standing" Signs. Still love the place, but might be the best idea to go on off hours, and not weekends.**

Excellent post-beach food. Not the healthiest of course, but if you're in the market for some great fried seafood this is the place. Clam strips and fries were crispy and awesome. The fried oyster po'boy would have been better had the roll not been so soft and soggy, but was still pretty darned delicious and adequately (if a bit too cautiously) spicy. Free refills on iced tea but not soda. Having to go outside to order shakes was inconvenient and led us to skip them.

I had an absolutely delicious dinner of Fish & (Clam) Strips here tonight. The fish was cooked perfectly, the clam strips (which I prefer to whole-bellied clams) were not overcooked so they were crisp but not chewy. Top that off with french fries, a pair of clam cakes (I worked at Rocky Point Park in Warwick, RI for two years, so I know a good clam cake) that were top notch and some tasty slaw and you have a really yummy hot night on Cape Cod dinner. Side note... Regulars from the past few seasons may remember a particularly officious girl on the counter who always seemed to be distressed to be there.. well she apparently is gone. The service was friendly and efficient.

HAD to have a lobster roll on my visit to Cape Cod. This place hit the spot. First, you walk in and order at the counter. The person working at the register gives you a number. Find yourself a seat. Make sure to put the number on your table so they can find you. They bring your order right to your table. Voila! I couldn't wait to have a lobster roll. From pictures, I was worried that the lobster roll would have too much mayo. It did not. Just enough to hold it together. Loaded with lobster meat and one piece of lettuce. Delicious. AND not expensive. Lobster roll (alone, no platter) was only about $13. It was filling enough and did not need the clam cakes and fries that come with a platter. If you're hungry then go for it! Clam Cake - weird hush puppy type thing with one small remnant of a clam. When eaten with the tartar sauce it was okay but wasn't my jam. Ice cream shack is on the outside area! So you can eat then walk over for dessert.

Good casual seafood shack / ice cream stand. Be on the look out for fresh catches of the day specials. Also you must try the frappe and save room for desert. A true cape code nostalgic experience.

Stopped for lunch after an overcast day and was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Fresh tasty seafood with great prices! I got a crab salad roll for $9.50 that came with fries, clam cakes, and slaw! Had half leftover. Chowder was decent and tried my boyfriend's oyster po' boy w/spicy mayo and banana pepperswill be back again soon!

OMG I cant believe my last review is from 7 years ago....crazy! This is the first time in many years we've spent an extended bit of time on the Cape in summer. Capt. Frosty's is still a good pick on the way home from Dennis beaches for us. The one thing it will always hold over the rest is that they keep making those clamcakes. Someone please tell me if there's another option since Pinto's Clam Box is no longer. These dough-balls of batter and bits of clam will always be something I crave. The ones on top seemed much hotter than the ones underneath, but they were all pretty darn good. I haven't had any of their other menu items in way too long to comment, but the clam cakes will keep me coming back every now and then.
(3)Karen J.
The clam fritters were out of this world!! I got the crab salad roll for my main course. It was good, but I wish I had ordered the lobster rook which looked amazing. The milkshakes were thick, creamy, and sweet. I cannot wait to go back to Captain Frosty's!
(5)Ken R.
this place was just what the doctor ordered. Tasty lobster roll full of chunks and claw meat, some of the best chowdah I've ever had. the clam hush puppies were just OK, very doughy. the price was right at thirteen dollars for lobstah roll.... delish
(4)Timothy D.
I didn't grow up spending summers on the Cape, but this is what I imagine in my head when they talk of fish fry shacks. We go here at least twice a season and once or twice again off season before they close for winter. I am not sure fried fish gets any better. Lightly battered delivered to your table piping hot. Their lobster roll is good, but not great. Just knuckle and claw meat, but a good portion and dressed with just enough mayo to hold it together. Comes with two clam cakes - yum! I see people with burgers and I scratch my head, thinking why? But hey, to each his own. Tip, parking sucks (consider the lot across the street) and table space is limited. Tables do turn quickly but, sharpen your elbows because everyone knows to send one person to hunt a table while everyone else orders.
(5)Madeline H.
The best whole belly clam roll on the Cape!
(5)Andrew M.
It is exactly what you expect when you read these reviews. You walk into a small lobby, order at the counter and try to find an open table. They have a great selection of fried seafood which maintain its flavor despite the frying. Also unlike most places they actually give you more seafood than french fries not the other way around. One small complaint, really a pet peeve of mine: $2.50 for a "large" coke with no refills seems a bit unreasonable. That said, this place is worth a visit. I can see why they've been around for 40 years.
(4)Dana W.
You can not go wrong with this place. This is always our go to place after going to Mayflower beach for the day. It is a great value for the money and not as expensive as other fried seafood joints. I had the whole belly clams, a side of onion rings. My wife had the crab roll. The clams were cooked perfectly, and not heavy on the batter. The onion rings were the exact opposite, and in my opinion were delicious but could have had a lighter batter. My wife liked the crab roll but says that it could have used a little more mayo.
(4)Susan B.
Wanted to try something new...having been a resident in the summer for 44 years we tend to just go to the same places...yesterday we wanted to try another place...my daughter (12) had her usual Chicken and Fries...and I had a scallop roll...she got 6 large chicken strips and fries $6.95 and I got 8 medium scallops on a roll...12.95! Her chicken was delish however my scallops had no flavor at all and there were no fries with it? The servers were rude and clueless when I asked if they served a hot lobster roll you would have thought I was asking for all the money in the register...place had decent pricing but not for what we got!
(3)Felix L.
Our favorite combo lunch or dinner and ice cream summer destination on the Cape. Been here many, many times over the years. Very casual, quaint, and friendly walk up establishment, been around since the 50's. Seafood choices are fresh and wonderful, and they always have specials, like the double lobster roll. One of the few places with coffee soft serve, and the orange freeze is not for sharing! Captain Frosty's will always take you on a refreshing ocean sail!
(5)Lisa D.
When in the Cape, we usually get our seafood fix at Chapins. But not anymore....enter Captain Frostys with its huge lines and annoying one cash register system. My main dish was the fried whole clam plate and it was great! Clams themselves were on the smaller side but they were fried to perfection, tender and crispy. A+. Cole slaw? A+. No up charge rice pilaf substitution? A+. These clam cake things they give you? I could do without as they are 95% batter and get a D- but they're a gimme so who cares? I also had the clam chowder which was standard-okay and nothing to write home about....but those clams though! A relative got a lobster roll and a double lobster roll. Spend the extra $4 and get the double. It was monstrous. Reason for 4 instead of 5 is the long lines, 20minutes plus just to get to place the order is crazy, especially in the heat. And that clam chowder was not anywhere worthy of 5 stars. But the fried clam plate clocked in at $19.99 vs $25 at Chapins down the street. Check this place out. You won't be disappointed....unless you get the clam chowder. Lol
(4)Michael M.
Food was very good, prices were in line with food quality and portion sizes. We had a clam strip and fish platter, lobster roll and two fish and chips. They were all excellent. Clam strips were cooked perfectly and had great sweet clam flavor, lobster roll had a good amount of lobster and tasted fresh and cooked right, not rubbery. Fish was also great. Fries were awesome too.
(4)Michele H.
first day on the cape on saturday. tried to go the the place on the water near by but so did everyone else-couldnt deal with the maddening crowd after the long drive. Captain Frosty's it was for our first meal of the season. Our lunch was great. Had the scallops and the clam strip rolls. Really good solid fried seafood. Debated having ice cream but decided to wait till next time.
(4)Andrew D.
Frostee's is a must visit fish n chips/fried seafood shack on the cape. I had the fish n chips which was perfectly fried with super fresh, tender cod. Service is friendly and quick. It's also pleasant to sit in the restaurant on a nice day and enjoy the Cape Cod air. Also don't forget to get some soft serve for dessert.
(4)Linda F.
We were on a back roads jaunt across the Cape yesterday and stumbled upon Captain Frosty's. It was well after lunchtime and we snagged the last available parking spot (always a good sign). We had our dog with us and were glad to see that they have outdoor seating. One of the staff members let us know that it was okay for our dog to sit with us in the outdoor dining area. (Major win when a restaurant is dog-friendly - THANK YOU!) I ordered the lobster roll plate and my husband got the fried fish and clam strips plate. Both plates were delicious and perfectly prepared. The fries were fantastic as well. Service was fast - you order at the counter and someone will bring it out to you in literally a few minutes. Overall, a great find. I can only imagine that this place must have a line out the door during the summer. We'll definitely be back!
(4)Susan R.
Just the best! Lobster rolls, bellied fried clams, onion rings are better than Sesuit Harbor Cafe (which is pretty good, and has a better view). The salmon sandwich was thick and great. A superb place.
(5)Jim L.
In our humble opinion, the best clam shack of the cape and pure summer. Star of the menu? Fish bites-- fresh and deliciously firm cod perfectly coated in corn flake crisps. Plenty of other great options too, including unexpectedly juicy (and delicious) cheeseburgers and all the seafood options with the just right amount of light batter. Oh yeah, cheerful staff and plenty of ice cream options at the connected outdoor dessert window. 6 stars
(5)Christa H.
Delicious bacon cheeseburger! Cooked perfectly with fresh, quality meat. French fries and clam strips are delish as well. We will be back for sure!
(5)John A.
My fav Cape Cod find. Its 5 star for cheap and easy eats - great roadside joint and absolutely nails it. Lobster roll, fried shrimp, clams, fish and chips, all hold their own to any other place on the cape, at fraction of the cost. Go early or go late to avoid the lines. Double Lobster Roll or Captains platter - cant go wrong. Skip the crab roll. Dont forget your soft serve cone!
(5)Meg R.
This place is a gem. The service was fast and the food was delicious. I ordered a 1/2 fried fish and 1/2 clam strips dish that was cooked to perfection (lightly battered and crispy).
(4)Harry G.
This is their 40th year and I've been visiting since they opened. Never again. Calimari was inedible. The chef mistakes seasoning for flavor. frying oil must have been 40 years old as well as the restaurant. The wait staff was trying hard and very pleasant. But management could use the Hell's Kitchen treatment.
(1)Kathleen C.
YUM YUM! I was on my typical lobster roll quest and having been thwarted from my favorite spot, I had to make do with another (horrors!). Luckily, Captain Frosty's came to the rescue. I of course ordered the lobster roll and also shared some of the clam chowder. Both were delicious. The roll was perfectly toasted and the lobster was fresh, a generous portion and totally delicious. It had little mayo or other fillings and the lobster was able to speak for itself. The clam chowder was quite good, very creamy, but could have had a smidge more clam (but that could be the ladle's fault or my sister's as she took some huge bites!). The spot is super cute, service is very friendly and quick and the bathrooms, seemingly sketchy as they are outside were really clean and nice! Cute outdoor area as well. Oh - and don't forget to have some ice cream covered in sprinkles! I couldn't resist and I'm thrilled that I insisted upon having some.
(5)Sophia C.
Oh man...if you come here and order not only the fish and chips but any of their fried seafood, you will NOT be disappointed! Their batter is just the right ratio of crisp and taste, but lacks any of the grease, which is great! Nothing worse than having to take napkins to your fried dish and then squeeze out all the grease, blech! Portions are pretty darn good here, so if you're going to eat an entree, you'll barely have any room for their desserts line right next to the restaurant, because with all the salt you ate, all you really want is a big ol' ice cream cone to balance it all off!!!
(4)Aleksandra G.
Really fresh fish. Not too great in terms of flavoring anything, but with seafood that fresh, you don't really need to add much. The real kicker for me here was the fried clams I had in my lobster platter. They're delicious balls of fried dough with clams inside. If I go there again, I'd definitely get a whole lot of those. As for the place itself, it's small and unassuming which is nice. They have some indoor and outdoor seating and an ice cream place is attached for dessert! Didn't try the ice cream but there sure were a lot of people in line, which is a good sign. Overall, a great place for fast seafood.
(4)Stephanie D.
You cannot beat the jumbo lobster roll for the amount of meat and the price on cape bay side. The Clam cakes are a fave as well.
(5)Chris P.
It was ok. If you like fried seafood this is definitely a place you should try. Didn't wow us.
(3)Dara C.
Best Chowder on The Cape..The fritters & clam strips don't suck either..The Lobster Roll is just ok.. I would recommend anything that is fried at Captain Frosty's.
(5)Barbara L.
Good summer fun.
(4)Alexis G.
I'm glad there wasn't a line when I got in line, because a line formed after I got there and looked super long. Although, it would've been worth it to stand in line - the food was just that good. You order at the counter, get a number and find your own table and the food is delivered to you. Everything we got was delicious and our friends enjoyed their food as well. Try the coffee soft serve from the window out front on your way out, great tasty treat!
(5)stephanie f.
Salmon BLT was heavenly! This is such a super cute restaurant with a backyard ambiance. The staff is super nice. And most importantly, the food came out super quick.
(5)Ann P.
No more Frosty's..at least for food. So good but the take out portions are getting smaller and smaller. Last night was the last straw when my container revealed three tiny overcooked clamcakes and a few sad looking fries. I was starving after. Will go back but for soft serve only. Have been eating here for 34 years..will miss it...
(2)Amanda W.
Quality fried seafood. The fried pickles are a new favorite of mine. Will never not find a line outside the door though during the summer months. I typically do takeout, always a 30 minute wait.
(4)Taste T.
By far the best fish & chips on Cape Cod. Generous portions, fresh fish & crispy batter.
(5)Jay S.
Great stop on our way to outer Cape. Lobster rolls, clam strips all great. Even the bacon cheeseburger got 2 thumbs up. And soft serve for dessert. Make that three thumbs up.
(4)Kristine J.
The freshest lobster roll I've had. Though also, the most expensive. I think it was about $20 per roll. But then again, the quality's definitely there. I noticed a lot of elderly people come here to eat. So it's a popular, local seafood place to eat by the seashore that's probably been around for years. It's in Cape Cod town and a good spot for some fried seafood or lobster rolls if you're in the area. They have fried clams, which were pretty good too.
(4)M H.
PERFECTION! Salmon BLT: perfectly cooked bacon formed into a circular shape to stay on sandwich. Perfectly cooked salmon. Perfectly toasted sourdough. Fries: perfectly battered and crispy Coleslaw: tangy and crisp I am so tough on places that can't do simple things right like fries, bacon, and toasting bread. This place does everything right. And is an incredible value with really sweet and helpful staff. PS: Never change the beautiful hand-written menu boards! This place is soooo classic and has all the charm missing from most casual restaurants these days.
(5)Laura Y.
We found this place four years ago when we decided to explore 6A on a whim. We're from out of town, but I grew up in Massachusetts, and we spent summers at the Cape. Having not been back for a while, I was desperate to find "real" Cape food. Captain Frosty's hit the spot. You can't go wrong with anything here. The Lobster roll is not only deliciously filled with sweet, fresh lobster, but it's full - really full. The fried clams are fresh and the batter is perfect - crisp, balanced, stays on the clams, and just "bready" enough without leaving streaks of oil everywhere. This time around, we had a three year old with us, who wanted a cheeseburger. I was slightly annoyed that he didn't want seafood, but we ordered the cheeseburger for him anyway. It turns out that even that was solid. And let's not forget the fries and clam cakes, both of which are fresh and tasty, as well. Don't forget to top it all off with your ice cream. Service is also always terrific - friendly, warm and welcoming. Make sure to expect a line if you come during lunch or dinner times. We arrived at 11:00 once and 4:00 another time - both of which seemed to miss the busy times just early enough. In all, Captain Frosty's is what I remember our Cape culinary experiences to be: fresh, delicious, affordable and family-friendly. We will continue to prioritize a visit here whenever we return to the Cape.
(5)Stefanie S.
Very friendly staff, the portions and food was very good! I had the fish and chip. The fish was fantastic, my only complaint was that all the fries were very mushy because they were under the fish. Food was ready so fast. And prices were very reasonable for the cape! Something for everyone! My sister had the lobster roll and said it was fantastic!
(4)Patricia B.
Live nearby and frequent Frosty's 3-4 times per season. Love their burgers and my daughter raves about the fish and chips. Would go more often if the prices were more reasonable. We find it best to do take out...the lines can be very long otherwise. The soft-serve ice cream is a must!
(4)Damien S.
Just thinking about my experience with Captain Frosty's is giving me serious agida. But seeing as how the Cape keeps away Italian idioms and embraces the fried mollusk, I digress. The chilly seaman edges out Crunch as the most crave-worthy Captain come summer, and it's painfully obvious why: gigantic platters of deep fried whatever at non-Cape prices. The thirty minutes in line flew by with anticipation of clams and clam-related non-clam things being shoved into my gaping maw. Why I proceeded to order the cod is beyond me, but the resulting fish disintegrated in a dense, flaky, succulent mess. Fries served right, I reckon. One fatal flaw in the design of CF is what I'll refer to as the Ice Cream Paradox. Let me explain: - Shit is delicious at Frosty's, so lines get long. - Humans traditionally eat dinner first, dessert after. - For sake of argument, fried food is dinner. Ice cream is dessert. - In its natural form, ice cream is frozen and best eaten immediately. THEREFORE - It is damn near impossible to order an entire meal (dinner + dessert) at once without (a) dealing with a melty mess, or (b) snarfing down your cone and regretting it as you battle, full-stomached, through a fried plate. Rock solid Cape institution. Go git you some... next year! Naw, I'm just kidding. You have a few more days. ... RUN!!!
(4)Mike R.
What makes for tasty fried seafood to me, is the flavoring of the breading and the care taken with managing the quality of the frying oil; I think it's important to fry the seafood products in oil which is not used to fry hush puppies, french fries, and onion rings. I don't know how this place manages the frying, but I do know the taste of the fried clams and calamari was sub-par. This was our first and last visit. We went here because we were with family staying in Dennis, and did not feel like driving to Arnold's in Eastham, the place we have always gone for the best clam shack food on the Cape
(1)Ax C.
Average fried seafood joint. Ordering location a bit tight and can get crowded but on the upside the indoor and outdoor seating areas are large and pleasant.
(3)Rick S.
Always a vacation favorite. Not very fancy and always crowded (a good sign). Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This time it was the fried shrimp roll - excellent shrimp and required a fork ... Been going for years, but finding the prices going up and portions down. But overall still great.
(4)Andrew T.
Thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch here. Fun upbeat mature woman taking the orders was a breath of fresh air. Fried flounder plate $10.95, delicious. You get your choice of three different fish... I recommend the flounder. Fried fish/ clam strip combo plate 11.50, delicious. Saw a fried oyster salad on the menu that looked good. Onion rings headed to another table received raves upon receipt. Yes, i eavesdrop for Yelp! Nice casual cape cod ambiance and charm. Good music playing. We cleaned our plates. Portion size/ price ratio just right. So much better than paying $15 for too much food you can't finish and have to take home or throw way. So, overall very enjoyable and I would recommend them 100%--- but here comes the nit-picking. This is really a high 3.5 star review rounded up to 4 stars.... i didn't like the odd gooey tartar sauce--- the cole slaw was very blah and needed a conveniently available splash of vinegar... Strange drink policy, where a large iced tea is served in a medium size glass but gets a free refill... however a large soda does not get a free refill. I suppose they have their logic behind this beverage dichotomy... But I couldn't figure it out. The bathroom was kind of thrashed and could have been cleaner.
(4)Lidiya M.
Went to the Cape for vacation and this was the most recommended place to get some fried seafood. This is the first stop we made when driving into town--and the only thing anyone could talk about on the drive down from Boston. Why, you might ask? EFFING. GOOD. FOOD. The line is always out the door and up the wazoo, but that just means that people like this place! They said it was going to be a 40 minute wait and, lo and behold, they were accurate. The girls at the counter were ON TOP OF IT. Leave a tip! Now on to the food... Fish and chips, fried clams, fried scallops, lobster roll. Hello, you're in New England. Get the damn fish. It's worth it. They catch it like, right there. It's fresh and flavorful and really reasonably priced. I am not normally a fan of clams but they're done just right here. Really freaking good fish and chips, too. I admit that I hogged the entire plate. Tartar sauce was average, but the fish more than made up for it. Om nom. Only real downsides were the messy tables that we cleaned ourselves ("We've never had this problem before," I was told) and the damn mosquitoes that snacked on me while I snacked on fried goodies; all this because we were forced to sit outside because the inside eating area was beyond packed. Go check it out!
(4)Rose L.
They have a great menu for all the tried and true fried seafood dishes and I gather they have a tasty lobsta roll too. What I like is that they allow u to sub rice for fries plus they have a frozen yogurt machine that reminds me of pink berry. Lots of different options to sample.
(3)Nick E.
This is a little side of the road shack but it is quite delicious! Lobster roll is nice and cold and cod plate is also tremendous! Highly recommended for anyone near by!!
(4)Catie C.
Indeed, reasonably priced seafood shack. I had haddock and fries. The fried fish was too dry for my taste. The clam cakes were too doughy. The service here is "half service". You order at the counter, go sit and they bring the food. You dispose of your own tray at the trash receptacle at the end of the meal. I really have no idea how to tip to this kind of service. A buck? Two? I didn't tip anything cuz I only bought two drinks which I brought from counter to table with my own two hands.
(2)Eva G.
We tried this place instead of Kream N Kone, just because it was closer. The fried codfish and halibut were pretty fresh, the fried scallops were equally as sheen. The clam cake was in good taste, but rather doughy and dry. We subbed onion rings for the fries, but the onions were mushy/stringy inside. If I have to compare, I'd pick Arnold's over this shack. However, we tried Captain before Arnold's, and thought Captain was delicious. Nevertheless, it's a nice drive-by for fish n chips, when you're in the [otherwise sparsely eventful] area. Plus, no wait.
(4)Jessie S.
Really good lobster roll and the fish n chips were also very good. Not so good? The unfriendly staff. Tips? Nope don't think so.
(4)Lisa E.
classic fried clams and fish n chips done right! lots of cape places claim fresh and yummy but this place delivers every time.. and to get this former local to drive down route 6A on a summer Saturday should tell you how good it is... GO!
(5)Kerry W.
Best lobster salad sandwich ever!!
(5)Margot L.
Yummy! Captain Frosty's (just "Frosty's" to the folks who have been going for decades - count me as one of them) is a MUST when you visit the Cape. I got the fish and chips, made from fresh Cod, served HOT off the fryer with a mound of fries, 2 clam cakes and a side each of tartar sauce and slaw. The tartar sauce was so-so (add relish and Franks Hot Sauce to kick it up to the next level) but the fish was DIVINE. Mom said her fried clams were awesome (mom has super-high standards, so I trust her judgement.) We also ordered onion rings. Don't let the size of the basket deceive you... The folks here piled them HIGH. Our group of 4 had trouble putting it all away. Another reason to visit Frosty's is the ice cream: delicious soft serve, expertly piled in high towers on cones, then dipped in chocolate sauce and rolled in jimmies (sprinkles, y'know...) for a candied insta-frozen outer finish. Yum! Avoid the lines by going in the late afternoon. We went around 2pm. Yes, you have to buss your own table when you're finished, but this place is known for the food, not the service. You will leave fat and happy!
(5)Jackie L.
Don't be fooled by the size! Food is top notch. We come to the Cape numerous times throughout the year and this is one of our favorite stops.
(5)Karen F.
$13.35 for an a la carte lobster roll, $16.50 or so for a platter. One of the best values for the money and best tasting lobster rolls (on a toasted buttered split-top bun) which is just as it should be. Can't miss! LOVE THIS.
(5)Chaipel L.
I have eaten fried clams and been disappointed in other restaurants, I give Captain Frosty's 5 stars because the fried clams were tender with a delicate crust, fried perfectly and not greasy. My husband and I ordered the clam plate to share and felt it was definitely an excellent value. This was our first stop after hitting the Cape and we will be back again next week!
(5)Matt W.
I've been going to Captain Frosty's since 1976 or so, and if anything the food is better than ever. It's still your basic fried menu, but the grilled scallops and fish plates are decent as well. I almost always just go for the fried clam plate, of course. The ice cream is soft-serv standard, and my only quibble is they can't seem to do the dips the way they used to, so the cones are evenly and thickly coated with cherry or chocolate goo. Note the seating is difficult to find in the peak summer season - there's a perpetual shortage of chairs -- and parking can be a problem unless you can sneak into the Antiques barn lot across the street when the latter is closed. Isn't about time we promoted him to Admiral Frosty? Because this is top-ranked among the clam shack.
(4)Jennifer A.
I've had fried clams all over the cape, but frostys is the best. The fried seafood is never greasy our heavy. Their clam cakes are amazing as well. For those looking to avoid fried food, they do offer some salads and broiled options as well. The only downside is that you often have to stand around to wait for a table, but as long as you are ok stalking other diners, you'll always get a table in a reasonable amount of time.
(4)Bryan W.
Great little place for some fried food. No thrills, just good fresh food that is mostly fried. The clam cakes leave a little to be desired, they are moist and not crunchy. You can find a better lobster roll elsewhere in town, but if you want fish and chips with amazing onion rings, this is your place.
(4)John B.
I will keep this short and sweet. The service was rude and obnoxious. I'm right in front of you, girl working the register. No need to yell at me. Secondly the food is not as fresh as the previous owners. New ownership has killed this place. I will not be stepping foot in the establishment again. I will also never recommend this place to anyone.
(2)Kat D.
Loved the fried clams!

The lobster roll are great. I had the cod plate and it was a great fish and chip meal. Like I have seen many times before I have found that a small roadside stand like this are the best places and this was no different. This was a great place for lunch. Finally don't miss the orange freeze.

Fried clams, check! Soft-serve ice cream dipped in chocolate, check! Great local place to get fried seafood.
(4)Jackie H.
Sad to say this place is a hit or miss from year to year...different cooks? I went twice last year and each time was not impressed. There was more breading on my clam strips than clams! And, the chowder was watery, BLEH! A few months ago however, I decided to give Frosty's another go and I'm happy to say whoever the cooks are, PLEASE hold onto them! The food is excellent! The clam chowder and the clam strips are AWESOME! They both have just the right amount of clams and the clam chowder is thick (but not too thick) and creamy! I highly recommend!!

I wish I could give 3 1/2 stars. This location is small, yet it has a great reputation so therefore it's crowded. And HOT. Even though I saw an AC there, they didn't have it on and we wanted to pass out while waiting in line. Luckily we could sit outside, but it was so humid it wasn't much better! Seating is pretty limited. We went to many fish and chip type places during our vacation and I felt that they were the most generous with the actual seafood, instead of covering a tiny piece of fish with onion rings and fries! Bathrooms here were GROSS.

Came here for dinner since Sesuit Cafe was closed =(. The ordering system was new to me (order your food at the counter, bring your number to your table, they bring your food to YOU). The food is not terribly great, but will suffice.
(3)Shawn A.
As always a great meal for the money.

Captain Frosty's clam cakes + Laura K's belly ----------------------------------------- = Laura K happy as a clam This review is for the clam cakes. There are probably a lot of other great things about this place -- but I've missed them over the last 25 years because I've been too wrapped up in my clam cake obsession to notice. In the last few years, on RARE occasions when I wasn't feeling the fried stuff, I've ordered the grilled cajun shrimp salad or grilled scallops with rice pilaf. The grilled cajun shrimp is good, but nothing I couldn't make in 10min at home. Same with the scallops, only the rice is salty and, in my opinion, sub-par. The 'rents live 1/4 mile away, so we generally opt for take-out, but there's an impressive amount of indoor and outdoor seating for the size of the place. Finish the meal off with some tasty soft-serve topped with Cap'n Crunch from the dairy-bar window -- you won't regret it. In summation: CLAM. CAKES.
(5)Pete C.
Great food reasonably priced. Most unique and now my favorite frozen yogurt, try the Yoberry! Was addicted to it during our short stay.
(5)Andrea M.
Been going forever, since I was a little kid. More often than not now, it's a quick stop for ice cream because their seafood has gone downhill in quality and uphill in price. Today I stopped by for an orange freeze - they make fantastic ones and I've always gone out of my way for them. Apparently they're out of the orange syrup, 15 minute wait in line, rude girl, no sign - guy behind me said was that way yesterday too. Don't know what happened to the great Captain Frosty's I used to know, but this was probably the last straw.
(1)K. L.
Yummy roadside clam shack - classic Cape atmosphere and lines out the door. Friendly staff and yummy clam fritters come with the platters. Fried shrimp were yummy, as was the clam chowder.

Meh - seeing the good reviews and looking for a fast dinner the night we arrived on the Cape we went to Captain Frosty's. They had run out of oysters and clams with bellies, much to my wife's dismay. She ended up with the fried scallops, which we plentiful and well cooked. I had the fish and chips with onion rings instead of fries. The fish was fresh but bland and the onion rings were less than average and that's somewhat kind. I'm an onion ring guy and these were just not good - tons of batter and very light on flavor.
(2)Kara J.
I grew up on the Cape and have been going to this place for 30+ years. It has declined in quality. We went yesterday and had the fried clams, fish & chips (cod) and fried scallops. The clams had no belly whatsoever and were overcooked. The scallops were large and juicy-a much better value, but were greasy. The fish and chips was the best of the three, but again, greasier than it used to be. The platters are huge and come with fries, fritters (greasy) and coleslaw. If you like fish & chips I would say this place will make you happy. They give you two enormous pieces of fresh fish and it's around $12.50. I could have split this with someone. For fried clams, I have had better luck with Seafood Sams or Sir Cricket.
(2)Craft J.
Not the best chowder I have had. Prices high and staff too grumpy to be serving people. Went at lunch time, not very busy.
(2)Becky C.
There's a reason this place has been around for decades! They know what they're doing. We got there early to "beat the crowd" and at 5:00 there was a line out the door!! There's plenty of seating and the line moved quick! The food was great! Wish I lived closer I'd go back every week!
(4)Wendy B.
Totally enjoyed our food. We purchased the kids chicken tenders, cod - fish & chips, grilled salmon, grilled scallops and the chowder. Everything was fresh and delish. It was nice and casual with good food. All of the fish was fresh, the grilled food was wonderful. We were impressed at how the kids chicken were solid pieces of white meat, very lightly battered and seemed to be lightly fried. French fries were pretty good. What a change from the average seafood shack. Oh and the Chowder was wonderful! Enjoy.
(4)A A.
Food is excellent, prices are average, service leaves much to be desired. It seems like they mostly hire high school students and they can be a bit surly, often lots of eye rolling. You're better off going when its busy- I'd rather deal with a wait than an attitude, and the staff seems to be more on point when the place is packed. Fried clams are amazing and the fries & onion rings are great too. Love the clam cakes- little balls of fried dough with chopped clam & pepper in them. Can get a bit pricey with soft drinks, as they don't do free refills. They also do take out, but there is no ketchup available to go & the take out containers are a bit flimsy, so not a great pick to take to the beach with you.
(3)TCia D.
Loved their Oreo vanilla flurry, so simple but so yummy, and their lobster roll. A pleasant address for all the family :)
(4)Sarah M.
I've been going here for 20+ years and have never had a complaint but the last few times have been disappointing. Tonight specifically. We ordered our food, sat down and realized we forgot our side so we asked to add it and were told to go to the back of the line. The line out the door and around the back that we just stood in for 20 mins. Decided we didn't need it. Found a table, disgusting, food everywhere, previous customers left everything there. They had now hiring signs and as I work in the food industry I understand how things can be so I cleared and cleaned the table myself. We sat down and waited slightly over an hour for 2 orders of fish n chips and a kiddie burger. Fish was great. Burger was the tiniest patty I've seen. Overheard another customer ask for a refill on their drink and they too were told to get in the line. Poor customer service if you ask me. Loved the previous owners, not so thrilled anymore.

For years this has been a summer staple of mine. It's your basic fried seafood shack with both indoor and outdoor seating. Has always been top notch in terms of taste and service. From what I've heard (I have yet to be this year) things have gotten a little pricey and the portions aren't as great as they have been in the past. Based on my previous history here (and until I can go this summer) I have to say it's great. Simply put. Love the fried oysters (ask for extra lemon and pepper). The scallops and clams aren't too shabby either. During the summer it's hard to find an "off peak" hour but in between lunch and dinner will give you a better shot at getting a seat on the shady (as in sun blocked, not sketchy) patio in the back.
(4)Amanda J.
Mmmm Captain Frosty's! My yearly venture to the Cape is not complete without fired clams and this is usually the spot for me. The batter is nice, light and lemony and the portions are wonderful! Even in the fired clam roll there is a generous portion of the freshest clams. I like the no-frills attitude to the place, the service is very fast and friendly. I also love the amount of outdoor seating, it's really a great find. The pricing here is always reasonable which is great considering it's on such a main road and they could easily charge more than they do given market prices elsewhere.
(4)Bethany B.
After a day of beach hopping, Captain Frosty's soft serve hit the spot. Love that they offer Fruity Pebbles as a topping! Reasonably priced, service was a little slow but not painful. Now we know why The Captain is a Cape must-try.
(3)Phu M.
Really good fried clams here. Maybe I was just really hungry that day but I couldn't get over how good the fried clam platter I ordered here tasted. I also got a vanilla soft serve cone with the chocolate dip and it was the perfect ending to a great lunch. Definitely would recommend this place if you're not sure where to go for seafood in the mid-cape area.
(4)Andrea E.
This place is neat. It's like a little beach shack. Everyone from locals to tourists know about this place and want to eat here. I'm reviewing for the ice cream, which is soft serve and very run of the mill. It's not gross, but it's comparable to DQ cones. They do have about 5 toppings (standards--m&m's, heath, etc). I have to tell you though, people are NOT lying when they say the food portions are small! I ordered the tuna salad roll (which is tuna on a hotdog bun). Sides cost extra too. I was SO hungry after that hotdog bun. GO HERE IF YOU'RE ON A DIET b/c I'm pretty sure you can still eat fried food if it's in this small of portions! Portion Control, Portion Control, Portion Control! It's still a cool place though b/c it just looks cool and they have outside seating.
(3)mike r.
I went for the 2nd time yesterday and it was very good. I had the cod special and got 3 pieces of fish, fries, coleslaw and 2 ping pong ball size clam cakes for $10.99 which is a deal on the Cape. My friend got the scallop roll and I don't know how much it was but it was very small. One piece of my fish tasted very fishy which turned me off a little but the rest was good. Clean, comfortable and Capey Coddy atmosphere; a good spot for seafood in the rough.
(3)Megan K.
Delicious fish and chips and even better icecream. I personally love the cherry dip. Mmm mmm good!
(5)Tara S.
Best Fish & Chips on the cape! I drive the 45 minutes to Captain Frosty's several times a summer because nothing else compares. The clam fritters are out of this world, the fish and chips are always perfect and the orange freeze is a delight!
(5)Chad E.
What can I say about Captain Frosty's that hasn't already been said. I think the name is cool. Anyway, the food's good and the ice cream is pretty good too. Basically, if you are staying in this area, it's required that you come here and enjoy a little seafood and ice cream.

In happier times, my family owned a nice cozy little cottage down by the seashore in Dennis. Summers were slow and lazy - days were weeks, weeks months, three months a lifetime. Salt soaked, sand encrusted, sun burnt, we spent our youth in the sun, lolling on our bayside beach, swimming with manta rays, corralling horseshoe crabs, cultivating fleets of jellyfish, and burying our sister up to her neck on a sandbar at low tide. It was idyllic and beautiful, the way things only are when you are a child. This was before the rapacious crowds descended on our little tucked away little refuge; before they paved all the roads and built parking lots; before the sun set on a bucolic worry free childhood. (Also, before internecine family squabbling and erosion and civilization stole it all away). And once a week, we'd make our way back up to Route 6A (then little more than a glorified cowpath) and dine like kings at Captain Frosty's. It was all fried, everything, even the soft serve ice cream. I remember splitting clam plates with my sister and knowing that nothing would taste better for the rest of my life. I remember we'd ask to speak with the Captain, and the way all the young girls behind the counter would roll their eyes. I remember the warm, beatific, halo-like glow that you could just make out, enveloping the picnic table area in back. Cue the Byrds' "Turn Turn Turn" - cue Daniel Stern voice over - cue Danicia McKellar walk on. These were truly the wonder years...

After reviewing icky Clam Box, I had to give credit where credit is due. I am not one of those Mass people who spent summers at the Cape seeing as my family had a lake house in NH. Nonetheless, as I dated someone who was a "Cape person" I inevitably began "adopting" certain Cape establishments. (Except, I would rather marry Captain Frosty.) So even though I was only a Cape person by association, Captain Frosty's means summer to me. The fried oysters here are amazing. Perfectly crisped and you can (gasp!) still taste the oyster. The fried shrimp and clams are delicious as well. At any given point in the summer there may be a bit of a wait. There may even be a bit of a wait for a table once you have waited at the counter to place your order. THIS IS WELL WORTH IT MY FRIENDS. Sitting outside on the patio with your delectable fried seafood will eradicate any shred of annoyance at a wait. If you can't take seriously my raving about this place, then know that Boston magazine listed it as one of the top places to visit. So there. You have no excuses.
(5)Rich M.
We have gone to Frosty's for literally decades and had been happy with the food and service. For some reason, however, this year, the service in particular, has been awful. So I will re-rate if we see an improvement...we'll give them another chance. We live within walking distance so it's easy to do for us...
(2)Arthur Y.
Lobster roll was really meaty, light on mayo, and short on fillers, which I liked, but for the price, a bit on the expensive side. I also got a chance to try friend clam belly--highly recommended. They also have softserve. The cherry dipped cone was a great finish to the dinner.
(4)Daniel M.
Boston magazine had an issue they touted as the "lobster" issue a summer ago and in one of the features a food reviewer hit a bunch of slightly more high-brow places to sample a variety of lobster rolls. High brow. Lobster rolls. Talk about missing the point by a country mile. Lobster rolls are best found at clam shacks. They're not served on brioche. They don't include things like capers. Ok? They're served on a buttered, grilled hot dog roll, the lobster salad is just meat with perhaps a touch of mayo(Although some places in Maine do a "hot" lobster roll with butter which is all kinds of good.) and lettuce is ok but not necessary. Captain Frosty's does a good job with their roll. They don't skimp on the meat and the preparation is just like I described above. Afterwards, you can cleanse your palate with a little soft-serve and maybe buy one of their t-shirts.
(5)Richard C.
Still one of my favorite places for lobster rolls! Full of meat, not full of extra stuff. Chowder is plain old fashioned Cape chowder. Can't beat the price evern if it is crowded and sometimes hard to park.
(4)G G.
This is what a clam shack in cape cod should be. Not perfect service, super fresh sweet seafood, reasonable prices, and yes, long lines during peak times because everyone knows it's that good. Living in the south for so long, I forgot how much better clam cakes are than hush puppies. Go, order, relish. Relax and enjoy the awesome lobster roll, clam strips, and specials. It's a bargain.
(5)Sara K.
Wow! Nice surprise! Fried clam strips and rice and fish are way too much for one person! (Fish and strips meal) Strips were delicious!!! Fish was average, rice and clam balls (yea, lol) were really good. And we had to get the chocolate milkshake (frappe, w/e they call it) My companion's salmon sandwich was good looking too. Fried pickles were made with corn meal, and I have had better, I think the coating was too thick on it. The warm pickles weren't good for the warm day either.....
(4)Elizabeth M.
Best you will find on the Cape! Can't go wrong with their fish and chips and yummy clam cakes. Don't leave the Cape without stopping here at least once! Their new "real" frozen yogurt is fabulous, too.
(5)Ericka C.
This place is too busy for the number of staff. This means you'll wait a long time, they might forget your order, or forget part of it. The lobster rolls are fine, but you can get a better one at Seafood Sam's without the awful wait.
(2)Peter R.
Get your clam cake on here!!!! These little sputnik-shaped clam-dough dealys are great tasting and great for you! Right?
(4)Cheryl M.
Service is hit or miss, sometimes when they're really busy it can get slow and there are lines out the door. But I love this place, which is why it still gets 5 stars. I take my college friends here every year and it's become a tradition. Fried clams are excellent, and the fish sandwich is another one of my faves. Onion rings and fries are good and not too greasy. They have great lobster rolls with no mayo- they are small, but you can always order the large size lobster roll if you're a big guy. Or really hungry. Or you can just get a soft-serve ice cream there after dinner. Yum. Great for kids, as well as pets, because you can sit out front if you have a dog (or screaming kid).
(5)Julie A.
I spent so many summers in West Dennis as a kid and my dad used to take us here for clam chowder, clam strips, and assortments of other fried seafoods and soft serve. It's good food quick and when you're there you know you're on the Cape. Love it.
(4)Brendan C.
This place is just not that good. For the wait and prices it's definitely not a place I will come back to on the cape. Fried food is not spectacular, just so so, a little heavy on breading and the fries were overdone and not good at all. Fish Sandwiches were not that good either and pretty small in portion. As for the "famous" lobster roll - they ran out, on Saturday night, at 6:30 PM. Of course they didn't mention this until we got to the front of the huge order line, really rude and disorganized. This brings up another point - poor management and organization. The whole place is run by 16 year-old kids. I saw no adults - we watched at least five orders get screwed up while we stood around waiting for our order. The wait for food can be as much as an hour and you do not want to sit down here the place is kind of a dump, crowded, and full of kids running around and yelling. Big dissipointment we will not be coming back.
(1)Justin G.
Captain Frosty's is another great fried seafood joint located in Dennis, MA. This place is a bit on the small side so you may have to wait a bit for a table, for this reason we usually do take-out. This place is a great alternative to Kreme N' Kone and I love to rotate between the two. This place is priced slightly higher but I think their oil is changed more frequently and results in a cleaner fried taste (if you know what I mean).
(4)Dan P.
I'd drive 3000 miles just for the fried clams here. As it is I only get to come once every few years when I drive my rental car from PVT (Providence Airport) to visit my uncle in Provincetown. In fact, I make it a point to come from California to visit my uncle in large part because of this clam shack! Perhaps there are other clam places that compare, but I've been unable to find whole fried clams anywhere in California so this place along the cranberry highway is something you should tresure. Maybe it's like finding a real Mexican restaurant in New England, where I have fifty places within 10 miles to choose from. Don't take this place for granted! It certainly is much less unchanged than my memories of Provincetown as a kid in the 1960's.
(5)Conny F.
We went here on our trip from Boston to Cape Cod. It was featured in one magazine and after going there I think its not a bad place. The fried fish was very tasty - if a bit pricey. And the Softserve Icecream was delicious. We even met a very friendly local there who gave us some tips as to where to go and what not to miss on our tour of Cape Cod. Also, if you need a cool gift - they have t-shirts which are very cute.
(4)Jan A.
Perfect for what it is - a very casual, seasonal local food and ice cream spot. Perfect stop when you're returning from the beach or other outing, but also for those times when you just don't feel like cooking. Order at the counter and then find a table, inside or out. There can sometimes be a crowd. Fish and chips and lobster rolls are favorites, although I personally don't find the magic in the clam fritters. Check the daily specials. No liquor license.
(4)Love S.
While I truly love a greasy, fattening pile of fried fishy food, I also love a clean and healthy piece of fish. The fish & chips here are very good, but the other day I had a simple piece of broiled salmon which I am still thinking about. It was perfect. It was an experience. It was DELICIOUS.
(5)Liza M.
really really really good grilled scallops. came with I think 6 scallops per skewer. 2 skewers. they were cooked perfectly. so delicious. I am sure they were slathered in butter though which gave them that perfect grilled coating on the outside but tender and sweet on the inside. came with rice pilaf. which I am pretty sure was right out of a near east rice pilaf box, which I am OK with because let's face it that is the best rice pilaf around. Chris got the clam strips. came with fries but for $2 he upgraded to onion rings instead. both were really good. I thought it was a lot less oily than Kream N' Kone, tasted healthier if that's possible we are talking about fried food. I think this made Frosty's better than Kream but Chris thought the clam strips were smaller, which it his only con. Portions were huge and prices were comparable. I liked the inside of the place, very cape cod, very nostalgic. more ambiance than Kream. Will definitely go back. The ice cream also looked awesome, so I will definitely need to check that out soon. It's off season but it was still packed, I bet the line is around the block in the summer
(5)Bruce S.
I have been going to Captain Frosty's for more than 20 years. Almost everything there is worth trying, but their true specialty is the fish and chips, which are without equal. They use fresh Chatham cod and you get a couple of nice clam cakes as well (and of course fries and cole slaw). Sometimes they also have a flounder plate. Just substitute yellowtail flounder for the cod and you get the idea. I'm pretty much of a flounder fanatic, so I often get it when they have it, but the cod is just as good. The scallops are worthy of mention, too. A few years ago, the Cappy saw fit to start offering some grilled sandwiches - salmon, for instance. These are most excellent, although be aware that even though they're grilled, they're not really lightweight stuff. The place can get really crowded in season, but the cooperative teens who work there keep things moving along and are friendly. I stopped at Frosty's on my way home (off-Cape) a couple of days ago just to grab a couple of bowls of chowder to take with me. To my surprise, in addition to the clam chowder, they had Portuguese kale, sausage, and bean soup, so I got a bowl of it. It was excellent and made a fine, fine dinner when I finally got home. Anyway, don't hesitate to visit Captain Frosty's when you get a chance!

My ALLTIME favorite place to go for seafood AND icecream!! Most of the food is cheap, such as fried clams (delicious), lobster rolls (also good), and fish and chips (very tasty). The Icecream is out of this world. However, they only serve soft serve, so if you aren't a fan--Frosty's isn't for you. The icecream you get at Frosty's is 3x as much what you can get at JPLicks or any other chain business in MA, and it is also MUCH cheaper. A kiddie=JP Lick's Small and is only $1.
(5)Brandon K.
(4)Sarah K.
(4)DJA B.
(5)Nicole S.
(4)John W.
Good casual seafood shack / ice cream stand. Be on the look out for fresh catches of the day specials. Also you must try the frappe and save room for desert. A true cape code nostalgic experience.
(4)Casey K.
(5)Tamara M.
(5)Dana W.
(3)Lisa D.
Lol

Also don't forget to get some soft serve for dessert.

first day on the cape on saturday. tried to go the the place on the water near by but so did everyone else-couldnt deal with the maddening crowd after the long drive. Captain Frosty's it was for our first meal of the season. Our lunch was great. Had the scallops and the clam strip rolls. Really good solid fried seafood. Debated having ice cream but decided to wait till next time.
(4)Felix L.
(5)Susan R.
Just the best! Lobster rolls, bellied fried clams, onion rings are better than Sesuit Harbor Cafe (which is pretty good, and has a better view). The salmon sandwich was thick and great. A superb place.
(5)Michael M.
(4)Christa H.
Delicious bacon cheeseburger! Cooked perfectly with fresh, quality meat. French fries and clam strips are delish as well. We will be back for sure!
6 stars
(5)Kathleen C.
(5)Meg R.
This place is a gem. The service was fast and the food was delicious. I ordered a 1/2 fried fish and 1/2 clam strips dish that was cooked to perfection (lightly battered and crispy).
(4)Sophia C.
(1)Aleksandra G.
(3)Barbara L.
Good summer fun.
(4)Dara C.
Best Chowder on The Cape..The fritters & clam strips don't suck either..The Lobster Roll is just ok.. I would recommend anything that is fried at Captain Frosty's.
(5)Alexis G.
You have a few more days. ... RUN!!!
(4)Lisa E.
classic fried clams and fish n chips done right! lots of cape places claim fresh and yummy but this place delivers every time.. and to get this former local to drive down route 6A on a summer Saturday should tell you how good it is... GO!
(5)Kerry W.
Best lobster salad sandwich ever!!
(5)Lidiya M.
(4)Margot L.
(4)Russ U.
The lobster roll are great. I had the cod plate and it was a great fish and chip meal. Like I have seen many times before I have found that a small roadside stand like this are the best places and this was no different. This was a great place for lunch. Finally don't miss the orange freeze.
(5)Andrew C.
(5)Emily A.
(3)Danny W.
Came here for dinner since Sesuit Cafe was closed =(. The ordering system was new to me (order your food at the counter, bring your number to your table, they bring your food to YOU). The food is not terribly great, but will suffice.
(3)Shawn A.
As always a great meal for the money.
(4)Laura K.
(4)matt o.
(4)Conny F.

Loved their Oreo vanilla flurry, so simple but so yummy, and their lobster roll. A pleasant address for all the family :)

Enjoy.

After a day of beach hopping, Captain Frosty's soft serve hit the spot. Love that they offer Fruity Pebbles as a topping! Reasonably priced, service was a little slow but not painful. Now we know why The Captain is a Cape must-try.

Delicious fish and chips and even better icecream. I personally love the cherry dip. Mmm mmm good!

Best Fish & Chips on the cape! I drive the 45 minutes to Captain Frosty's several times a summer because nothing else compares. The clam fritters are out of this world, the fish and chips are always perfect and the orange freeze is a delight!

We have gone to Frosty's for literally decades and had been happy with the food and service. For some reason, however, this year, the service in particular, has been awful. So I will re-rate if we see an improvement...we'll give them another chance. We live within walking distance so it's easy to do for us...

Lobster roll was really meaty, light on mayo, and short on fillers, which I liked, but for the price, a bit on the expensive side. I also got a chance to try friend clam belly--highly recommended. They also have softserve. The cherry dipped cone was a great finish to the dinner.

Still one of my favorite places for lobster rolls! Full of meat, not full of extra stuff. Chowder is plain old fashioned Cape chowder. Can't beat the price evern if it is crowded and sometimes hard to park.

Love it.
