I just went to Popeye's for the first time. Despite being 12 oclock on a weekend, there was almost no wait at the drive-thru. I got a 3 piece chicken tender combo. I was surprised at the amount of chicken that it came with. The three pieces were pretty large. It came with a biscuit and soda and side. The biscuit was pretty good. No butter needed. The chicken was fresh. Their little BBQ containers are a bit small for the amount of chicken you get. The macaroni side is small and wasn't that great. The cheese was a little thin and it taste microwaved. Overall pretty good though. It's a little pricier than McD's or BK, like $7.xx for the combo but it was worth it.

So, so, so, sooooo bad. After reading the Yelp reviews, I thought the main issue was incorrect orders in the drive through so I opted to walk in through the icy/snowy parking lot to place my to-go order. They still got it wrong! I ordered a 3 piece spicy tender with mashed and added a side of red beans and rice. When I got it, I asked if both sides were in there and the cashier said "oh yea, you had fries right?" No.. I am the only customer in the store, mind you, and I told him what I actually had ordered. The rice was SOOO old and dry, I can't imagine how long it'd been sitting in that plastic container. The mashed had barely any gravy and the chicken was so disgusting I couldnt even eat it. I took one bite and threw the entire plate out. I felt really sick after eating the small amount that I did and I would highly encourage anyone that's hungry in this area to go elsewhere. Still sick even thinking about it!

As we were passing through the Chicopee area we realized that our stomachs were growling so we decided to stop in at this Popeyes location. When we walked into the store there were a ton of people in line waiting to order and it took a little while to get served. Even though that was the case, we didn't mind because it was clear that the wait came from the fact that they were making the food fresh to order. This was different from other locations where the food is sitting under the heater for what may be forever. The staff was really polite and welcoming, but the biggest issue we had with this location was the fact that the dining room was chaotic. The soda machine wasn't stocked with covers and straws, the tables were dirty, and it was a pain to ask for napkins a few times instead of just having them out. Besides that, the food was great and we will definitely be back!

Friendly staff. Great fast food. Blackened chicken + blackened Ranch is amazing. I love the outdoor patio for when I'm traveling with my dogs. Inside tables are a little dirty at times but as I said I usually sit outdoors so it hasn't bothered me.

This is my first and last time going to Popeyes chicken. The food was dry and the staff there were clueless. Popeyes chicken does not have anything on KFC. Eat at your own risk!

It's fast food. Bearing that in mind, it's damn good fast food! I am absolutely perplexed as to how this fried chicken chain isn't the top dog in the country. The chicken is crispy, moist, tender and delicious at ANY temperature. The biscuits are fluffy, buttery, flaky bits of love. Their mashed potatoes seem to come from ***ACTUAL POTATOES*** judging by the bits of potato I encounter. My visit to this particular Popeye's was problematic; first the wait in the drive-through (after ordering but before paying) was about 10 minutes. First up: the sodas provided were Sprite; we had requested Diet Coke. No big deal, we just handed them back and continued waiting for correct drinks and our meals. They finally requested that we pull ahead, which we did. When our meal was delivered to our car, soda had been spilled into the bag, drenching the boxes of chicken. Further, there were no straws with which to drink the sodas, nor any napkins in the bag with which to clean up the spill. Hmm. Not ideal, but again, it's fast food. Upon opening the boxes, though, we found that the sides we requested were not the ones inside the box and that the chicken (e.g. 2-pc. breast meal) was the wrong 'style'. I walked back into the restaurant and exchanged the chicken and sides. The manager was surly and confrontational, but again: fast food. Returning to the car with the correct order, I noticed that there were no sporks provided, so we couldn't even consume our mashed potatoes. Once again, I made the trek into the restaurant only to find that the sporks are stored under heavy security and I had to wait in line to request them from the same surly supervisor I had seen before. Even after all of that, though, the chicken was phenomenal! My visits to the inside of the restaurant revealed an immaculate dining area and despite the lack of courtesy demonstrated by the manager, I wouldn't rule out a return visit. The chicken is *that* scrumptious.

The food is bomb but the service was terrible (the 2 out of 5 stars is for the food). This particular popeye's, in general, has the worst services ever. Every time I visit I end up waiting over half an hour for my order. It's not a particularly complex order, maybe a 3 piece bonafide with some fries. Last time I went I waited forever while I watched people who came in 15 minutes later than me get their orders right away. I bit my tongue and didn't even bitch...once I received my order I asked for hot sauce when I was then handed 1 packet of salsa...not hot sauce -salsa. when i told them that I asked for hot sauce they told me that they were out of hot sauce? POPEYES CHICKEN IS OUT OF HOT SAUCE. wtf. when I asked for a thing of delta sauce they charged me .25 for it!!! Good thing the chicken is good or I'd never go back. The Popeye's in New Haven, CT has the best staff and they always hook me up. Something is wrong with the management at this franchise. I don't expect much from a fast food restaurant but I at least expect it to be FAST.

4 stars for the laid-back, friendly, humble staff who hooked me up with a side substitution for the combo drink because the manager wasn't there and when that happens, they "run the shit".

Terrible food. Terrible service. I laughed when I read the first review and saw that the experience was a nightmare, and they still gave it 5 stars. We joke in Chicopee that this place is still even open becasue it's so bad and the parking lot is always empty.
