Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

They make a really good pizza. The price is reasonable. All the appetizers are great. The establishment itself is a nice family friendly sports-viewing venue. I'd give them five stars, but probably 1/4 of the time, when getting a pizza delivered, it's a bit underdone. Not raw, just a bit soggy on the bottom. 4-star pizza. The other 3/4 of the time it's five stars all the way. I really like the mediterranean pizza with the spinach and sun dried tomato. I haven't ordered a pizza I haven't liked, though.

We were staying at the Marriott Residence Inn in Chelsea Massachusetts and took the advice of the front desk and ordered a delivery from Brown Jug Pizza. We ordered one of their specialty pizzas and a salad. Twice we found bone pieces in the pepperoni or salami...couldn't tell. The flavor was just okay and the salad was tired and looked like it had been around for a few days. 08.28.15 - The owner of this establishment contacted me for more information to address the issues we had. He was very polite, concerned and was going to take action to make sure things are resolved and remedied. We will stop by and give them another shot next time we're in Boston.

I was playing some paintball across the street today, and a friend from Chelsea recommended that I come here. The Brown Jug definitely did not disappoint. We started off with Parmesan garlic French fries, and some buffalo wings. They were both really on point. I got one of their flatbread pizza's with shrimp, garlic, baby spinach and sundried tomatoes. You can tell that these cooks care about the quality of their work. Our waitress( I believe her name was Courtney) was absolutely amazing. She made sure that we had everything we needs and was super helpful at helping us decide on what we wanted. I will definitely be back the next time I come to Chelsea.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My roommates and I were craving some buffalo wings, and ended up on yelp. Based on the reviews and pictures that people had posted, we decided to order two large wings from Brown Jug. Now I'm not sure if it was because the kitchen was almost closing, but the wings were TERRIBLE. They tasted like cardboard, there was no sauce on them, and they were burnt (pictures we'll be posted). I've never had wings this bad. And the blue cheese tasted like nothing. The whole meal was just awful. I really wish I could get my money back. If you're thinking about ordering from here, you're better off going to Wal-Mart and getting the frozen Tyson wings for about $8. At least you'll get something moist.

Ordered delivery while staying at a local hotel. Was sad to hear all the calzones were pre-made, thus couldn't customize for people who didn't want certain items (like onions). Ended up getting the fried pickles, a bbq chicken calzone and a cheese pizza. The pizza and calzone lacked taste and weren't very enjoyable. The fried pickles however were quite good. I'd heard good things about this place but my first experience wasn't great.

I can walk to this place so I go fairly frequently. (Responsible drinking!) their drink the Big Z is the most amazing thing ever. I like it better as a mixed drink than a cocktail, but it is sublime. Their pizza is delightful. The Asian salad is also delightful. Calzones are great too. We love their fried green beans too. The veggie wrap is great!!! I do wish that they served soup and pasta. Those are my only requests. A veggie burger would be a nice addition as well. Nice people and nice atmosphere. You can sit at the bar or in booths, and there is a jukebox.

Got a free order of wings with our check-in which were very good. We sat at the bar and all the bartenders were INCREDIBLY friendly and attentive. Offering up knowledge about the place, the neighborhood, etc. And if you're here for sports - jackpot. Not only plenty of screens and all sorts of amazing pub-grub for sports watching, but amazing Boston sports deco all around, some of it pretty rare and cool. Ask the bartender about it - they'll tell you the story behind it. Overall, great spot for a beer/drink, pizza and/or wings, and some sports. Recommended.

Good drinks and good music. My friend and I ended up staying a bit past closing and they did not kick us out. They entertained our conversation until we finished our drinks and were very friendly. Great first time experience. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I didn't try their food but based on experience alone, I would definitely go back.

Question.... Do you like soggy crust? Do you like food poisoning? Do you like when toppings and cheese slide off before you can have your first bite? Do you like meat cubes that have the texture of styrofoam and taste of weak beef bouillon? If you said yes to any of these, well The Brown Jug is your kind of pizza place! For those who have already experienced their food: *Brown Jug Support Group (BJSG) meets every third Thursday at Regina Pizzeria*

Walked in at 10:15 on a Saturday night and there was only one other table, waitress standing on her phone and no one to greet us, finally someone said we could sit wherever we want.. Sangria was okay (nothing to brag about) fries were really good but the pizza was so soggy, the cheese was gross and the pizza was overall just not good.. We picked apart 2 slices and we informed our not attentive server about the pizza and we got the fries taken off even though we should have gotten the pizza taken off.. Oh we'll never coming back unless we just get beer and fries.. I don't get it, it used to be so good

My first time eating at this restaurant. Some of the best pizza I've ever had! The service was also great! The chicken tenders appetizer resembled run-of-the-mill, frozen fare and were--ok. Important: Please remove the poison mouse bait from the entrance of the restaurant. Disgusting and unappetizing. If you need them, at least put them away during business hours. Once this is done, I will be happy to return and tell others!

First time trying this place- called in my order to pick up.had to wait for some time for someone to help me the young lady was not at the table when I came in. One thing to note, the pizza is one size. A great crust- crunch with a good chew. Also had the bbq wings came drenched in sauce but the wings were fried nicely. Definitely want to come back to enjoy the ambiance of this place.

Grew up on the jug pizza. Great combinations and wings too . marissa is a great barmaid and waitress.
(5)Jackie W.
Very impressed with The Brown Jug. My family went for the first time on a Saturday around lunch time and the food was good. The thin-crust, cheese pizza was well-cooked and delicious. My father loved the seasoned fries. My grandfather loved the steak calzone. Our waitress was very attentive and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a very good place and worth a stop!
(4)Chris F.
I gave a 2 because if they deliver the right pizza in a timely manner it's good. However tonight they delivered the wrong pizza (a vegetarians nightmare-meatiest pizza ever) an hour and a half after the order was placed. Not at all happy about the responsiveness to this disaster of what should have been an easy order. When we called to tell them about this ( after we called to inquire about it's where a bouts) we were put on hold and not at all helped. We eventually hung up. *we also caught this mistake in time to give the pizza back to the delivery person-who didn't give back the cash, but rather took it and left. Be cautious when ordering, especially if hungry!

I love the Jug!!! Best pizza in town. Beer towers make for some awesome Sunday Fundays. Sweet potato fries are BOMB. This is my favorite place to go to watch the Bruins game, play keno and hang out with friends.
(4)Jennifer N.
Not the greatest service but cheap &tasty food. They sell 18oz draughts=$8 of SamAdams. Something about the tables in the place; not located near the bar keep people away, not sure what it is. I suppose it because its family friendly but all the commotion at the bar should keep kids away. They have darts and are def a sports bar complete with a keno booth to sit in and gamble to your hearts desire.

This place is old school. Just the way I like it. Definitely a top pizza place in the Boston area. If you want good service and ambiance, go to the Capital Grill. If you want some of the best pizza in the area with good drinks, come to the Brown Jug. Very affordable and you will never leave hungry. In my opinion, the pizza is right up there with Bianchi's and Santarpios. I am Italian and LOVE this pizza. Honestly, if you think this pizza is average than your a moron :-) really
(5)Karan H.
Pizza was average , crust was pretty good but not a big fan of the cheese they use could have been of a higher quality, service was bad waitress forgot to get our drinks and overcharged us even though place was dead .Buffalo wings were good came out nice and hot. Overall a little let down wouldn't go back again.

WTF. We were going to Suffolk Downs and I Yelped a place to try. Four stars on fifty reviews, impressive. Ummm.......no. The service was wicked slow. The buffalo fingers were Barber's chicken right out of the bag, doused with frank's wing sauce, nothing house made, mailed in. Why even go out for mediocre crap like this ? I can do that at home and swill Natty Lights. My calzone was BURNT. I know they don't have a Chef Ramsey, last eyes on, but come on, the cook sent this out, and then another person carried it out ? Would you serve this to your signifigant other ? I don't think so. Where is your pride ? The turkey club was also mailed in. The draft selection were sparse. When I Yelp "Check in"d, it said I could have a free app of wings, which I did ask for, and we sat with the bill ( which did mention these free wings ) for TWENTY MINUTES before we got up and left. As we did, the waitress yelled out " Thank you" as we walked out the door, not " Those wings will be right up." She didn't even remember. I say again, if you have not read my other reviews, I am a good tipper, so that is not an issue. They do not have it going on here. The booth chairs were extremely uncomfortable, made us sit ramrod straight up.. Very disappointed. Really Yelpers, a Four ?

Tucked away in a little shopping center in Chelsea, The Brown Jug is a quaint little pizza joint with a cute little dining room, patio, and bar area. You get that "down home" feel when you walk in because it's a cozy little place filled with yummy smells. They have several appetizers and pizza/calzones on the menu as well as a few flatbreads and salads. Thanks to Yelp for the check-in offer- free buffalo wings! They were jumbo and spicy but not too saucy. Yummo! I ordered the ham & cheese calzone with red peppers & onions, and the cheese was hot & perfect. The reason I'm only giving 3 stars is because the service is just awful. I begged to get a refill on my drink but never received one... I asked to have ranch instead of bleu cheese with my wings & never got that either. The food was quite yummy, but the service is just a big negative. And since I'm rating the entire experience, I cannot whole-heartedly give a 4-star review. Too bad 3.5 stars isn't an option.
(3)Kristina F.
The pizza here is so delicious! I travel to Massachusetts every month or so and this my new spot! I ordered 2 gluten free pizzas and the crust was perfectly crispy, all ingredients were super fresh too. The spinoccoli is one of my favs (I like to add sundried tomatoes) I'd also like to comment that the staff and owner are on point as well. They truly understand the importance of great customer service and aim to please. Go here and you will not be disappointed!!!!!

Typical Papas. There's a loud obnoxious guy at the register named joe that overcharged me on purpose

Decent pizza place

So tried this place last night and it was AWESOOOMMEEE! Got teryaki wings and buffalo wings along with a cheese pizza with garlic. Probably the best wings ive ever had and the pizza was definitely one of the best if not the best. Real chopped garlic and not the jar minced junk. They have a good beer selection with a bunch of craft beers along with a full bar with tv's and keno for us gamblers. The bartenders were awesome as well! We will be going here a lot more now that we have tried and loved it!

The brown jug has been around for years ! They moved their location over here to Chelsea plaza and it's the best decision they Eva made ! So clean , the old place needed work , but the way they set up is with the bar side and new dinning room is great , also looks like they have a set up outside in summer ,, will have to make a trip back to check that out , But their pizza is still one of the best thin crust around great flavour we ordered pepper & onions it was loaded !! Also when you check in on yelp we got chicken wing as an appetiser for free , as a yelp deal !! They are amazing !! We decided on buffalo style ,, Not to many places offer pizza and a pitcher of beer for under $20 dollars !!! Server was very good considering it was very busy !! They had quite a few birthday party's going on ,, We will be back to try their pizza again new FaVOrAtE for pizza !! And love the new location for parking much better !!

I first want to note, the only reason this place is getting 4 out of 5 stars is because I haven't tried everything yet. I just moved to the area and found this place within foot steps of my new home. It's always hard for me to find a good bar with decent food that has an NFL Sunday Ticket and is willing to play the Saints game in Boston. Well, this place certainly lived up to my expectations. Great beer selection, so great I had to take a few minutes to decide what brew I wanted. The pizza was amazing. Wings were not only delicious but so moist on the inside. Who doesn't like wings that are moist? Oh and the French fries were crispy and delicious. I am a stickler for French Fries, they must be cooked a certain way for me to even consider order them. These were amazing. The bartender was super nice, I wish I could remember his name but it was a Sunday afternoon if that helps. WILL DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN SOON!

Being from Chicago Iam usually not a fan of east coast pizza. Hands Down The Brown Jug Pizza Restarant is the Best I have ever tasted. Quality toppings, fresh sausage, Awesome pepperoni. Fast Hot Delivery. What more can you ask for and the delivery guy had a great personality as well. My Choice for Pizza when I'm in Boston.
(5)John F.
Wings were perfect, it wasn't dry plenty of flavor! The pesto chicken mushroom pizza was perfect too
(5)Jalysa V.
disgusting!!!! I went here with my son and mom. first of all the server took forever to take our order second I order a kids baked Mac and cheese for my son. after the extremely long wait time like excessively long. the.baked Mac and cheese was not baked at all but it was Kraft box mac and cheese that came in a broken salad bowl. then when we got our Cesar wraps it was filled with only lettuce and little bits of chicken and very minimal dressing. Then when it came time to get our check I over heard one server say to our server "ask how the baked Mac and cheese was?" we will never be going here again

Tonight I unfortunately had an experience to Kerry G. who rated earlier in the month. If I had read her review prior to going tonight I would have A) Not believed it, B) may have been more prepared for the battle over the amazon local voucher. I too purchased the amazon local voucher, this is not my first time, i have purchased similar vouchers to this restaurant in the past. They have always been a great experience and good for a 1 topping large pizza, until tonight. First I was scolded for not printing it, despite the clear instructions that state i could either print it or show my smartphone-ahhhh not so much. Second we were charged extra despite only getting 1 topping on the pizza, I'm still puzzled over this one, but when I asked about it I was given A) lots of attitude by Paula B) misinformation When I called Amazon local they rectified the situation, even quicker than I could ever dream of. Sadly after several good experiences at this restaurant, this experience will haunt me for a while. I have lived in Chelsea for about 4 years now and I have tried almost all the pizza places around here and with that being said this place will you the best pizza in this area and they deliver! I know that the prices seem high but you get your money's worth and when you get 3 pizza's you get your 4th one free! You have to remind them I ordered about 4 times by the time I realized I was paying for it but they were good to me about it when I called for my new order the girl gave me another pizza on top of the free one!! Kudos' on the customer service!
(5)Cassie D.
The Brown Jug is the GO-TO place for pizza and beer. The large cheese pizza with a pitcher of Beer is the best deal around. My favorite pizza here is the Milano. It is DELICIOUS! Seriously, check it out. All different meats and cheeses combined to perfection. I have never not liked something that I have ordered at The Jug. The service can be good and it has been bad on occasion but last week I went in and we had the nicest, sweetest server in the bar area, Alicia. I was really impressed by how well she did her job. Kudos. The new place in The Home Depot Plaza is great. There is plenty of parking. Good bar atmosphere and I LOVE that they added tables for outside dining.
(5)Christina P.
Went paintballing next door and stopped in here after. Pizza is awesome!! Any toppings/combos you get, it's so delicious. Great deals on pitchers too.
(4)Bo F.
We came, we sat, we... meh... Not bad, not great, but expectations were never unrealistic.. It's unfair to judge a pizza and sports bar on their wraps so I won't... But I will say wings are nearly $1 ea.... Again (full disclosure.. I lucked out, when I checked in we got a free order of wings) I can't say I'd be in a hurry to get back here...
(3)Adam B.
Love the food, the service is just OK. It's not bad, it wouldn't stop me from going back, but it's not great. We go every once in a while, and the pizza and calzones are delicious. They also have really good drinks at a good price. It's just that they don't have a lot of people working on a weeknight and they are usually busy doing something, so it can be difficult to get their attention. That's the only thing that would keep me from totally raving about the place and recommending it without qualifications.
(3)Will L.
Full Disclosure: I am writing this while still on the high of another fantastic pepperoni and cherry peppers pizza. I've lived in Boston for over 20 years and have had a chance to taste a lot of really good Boston pizza but I need to go ahead and say that Brown Jug is the best I've had hands down. Not only is it FANTASTIC thin crust pizza but it consistently delivers good pie. While I have several favorites in the area, I can't say that they deliver with the same level of consistency every time I visit. It's the Wade Boggs' of pizzas. Case in point, I'm not a crust guy when I eat pizza. When I eat Brown Jug Pizza, I'm a crust guy. I'm also a crumb guy. I'm also a whatever-you-don't-finish guy. The ingredients are top notch and the formula is perfect. On top of that, it's amazingly affordable and if you dine in, you can get some pizza and beer at an awesome low price. Excuse me while I ride-out this pizza high.
(5)Tracy B.
Pizza wasnt as great as I remember it, but of course the beer might have been a factor back then... It was VERY good, dont get me wrong... The cheese was good, almost no crust cheese everywhere which was great. The Mushroom & Onion had maybe 3 Mushrooms... Im a huge Veggie & Toppings Whore so I want them to be there... They were almost non-existent... I get that the crust is soo thin & maybe couldnt hold the excess veggies, but still loses a star for me!
(3)Alice E.
Great service, awesome deals, very clean and efficient. If you love thin crust pizza this is the place for you. The marinara sauce is incredible. We weren't crazy about the wings but the zucchini sticks were awesome. Great local spot with lots of tv's and a home town atmosphere.
(5)Steven L.
The result of their delivery. Placed an order for two orders of Mac and cheese bites, and a pizza. They call back a short time later to say they don't have enough to make two orders. I tell them one is find and they still charge me for both. The pizza topping has completely slid off the pizza, which is cold to boot. Call to speak with a manager and the manager is out and won't be back for a half hour. What is that? Since when does the manager leave while they have customers? Won't be ordering from here again.
(1)Aj S.
If there was a negative star I would more likely give it to them. I've never been so disgusted in my entire life. My boyfriend and I ordered wings in which we had to ASK for ranch. We then ordered salads which came with NO dressing either and over sized for the plate and bowl in which they were in. I then asked for oil and vinegar in which the vinegar came accompanied with FRUIT FLIES at the bottom. Needless to say we immediately lost our appetites and nicely offered to still pay for the wings in which they should have comped if they had ANY common sense. I will not be back and will not be recommending this place to anyone.
(1)Patrick H.
You just gotta love the Brown Jug. We have been a fan of the excellent pizza here since they were at their previous location off Highway 16. It's been a couple years since the relocation and the Brown Jug is better than ever. Their crispy thin crust pizza that has a great crack to it. The sauce is snappy and the toppings are all fresh and of good quality. This is a place to keep it simple as overloading their crust makes for a soggy experience. Also, I can't say enough about the Buffalo wings here. There are a number of options for wings, including Sweet and Sour, Lemon Pepper, BBQ, Teriyaki, but if you are a fan of Buffalo wings, these are as close to perfection as I can imagine. It's just the right amount of spice and vinegar. Expertly fried meaty wings with the classic accompaniments. An added bonus, there is a Yelp check-in special offered for a free small order of wings which can be redeemed on the spot or at a later time. Lastly, I would like to just add, for a Pizza joint.... the service at Brown Jug is phenomenal. You just can't ask for nicer people to wait on you. Always accomodating, always attentive and caring. You can't ask for more than that.
(4)J V.
I eat at the Brown Jug fairly frequently, another one of those places I found from the Phantom. If you like pizza, you will like the Brown Jug. This is in my opinion one of those great Bar/food places, kinda like New bridge (Chelsea) Floramo's (Chelsea) or Champions pub in Peabody. Good food Good drinks. I really enjoy their pizzas, I truly love thin crust pizza. I have not had anything off the menu that I have been disappointed with. The only thing this place needs to change ASAP, is that they give you salad dressing that comes in those plastic packets. Come on guys, don't you know, what makes a good foody bar, it the salad dressing, look at Monty's in Lynn, Flaramos exc. Lets get it together and drop the plastic packets and work on a house home made dressing. This is a must Outside of that, I really enjoy this place, and defiantly recommend it.
(3)Yaz P.
Review based on Take out only VERY disappointed. new to the Chelsea area i'm searching for a takeout spot, or really any restaurant that is decent. this missed the mark completely. In all fairness, the positive reviews seem to be for the pizza. So I'll give this place one more shot for the pizza and update. Detail: Of the four orders,- two wraps, a salad, and a calzone, only one person was satisfied (ceasar wrap) -the fries for the wrap were WAY too salty to the point that they weren't enjoyable. -The calzone had little to no mozzarella cheese. it literally tasted like crust and chicken. and the buffalo sauce was not good. - buff chicken wrap -the sauve was not at all tasty. not enough chicken in it, and way too much blue cheese. grilled chx salad- the chicken was rubbery and cold.It tasted like prepackaged chicken strips. they also forgot to give me dressing.
(2)Pat G.
Nice place, divided up with a dining room & bar. Full bar with tons of flavored vodkas. They have full lottery (Keno/Poker/Scratch tix)... They offer a deal for a pitcher and pizza for something like $15, totally worth it.. Pizza is always on point, I've had the wings & those were great as well. The few times I've gone it's been on a Saturday or Sunday and the guy bartending has been very nice and friendly, I just can't think of his name.
(5)Ramon P.
A great pepperoni pizza. Best around. Buffalo wings are solid. I'm not too sure about anything else. I get the same thing all the time. Mixed drinks are only $6.
(5)Tony D.
Sung to the tune of "the Old Grey Mare" Oh, the old Brown Jug, it ain't what it used to be, Ain't what it used to be, ain't what it used to be. The old Brown Jug, it ain't what it used to be, Many long years ago. I used to go to the old location, attracted by cheap pitchers of cold beer and good cheese pizza, not to mention the delightfully seedy atmosphere. Although I never heard of any problems in this place there was always a sense that something unpleasant could break out at any moment. (Don't bump into anyone on the way to the bathroom or knock over one of the Harleys parked out front). I thought it was time to give the new place a try. It was very disappointing, starting with the service. The waitress seemed to have an attitude and would disappear for large stretches of time. The salad dressing came in a plastic packet. Really? What self-respecting eating establishment serves salad dressing from a plastic packet? The pizza was just mediocre, nothing like I remembered. Apparently the only thing they retained from the old location is the quaint but extremely uncomfortable wooden booths. If you are looking for a good bar pie on the North shore head to Montes in Lynn instead.

Starting off I walked in the door to pick up my order to go and not one person that worked there acknowledged me. A manager brushed by me twice to get to a make shift card table being used as a hostess stand. The "hostess" was nowhere to be found. After about 5 minutes I started asking random people going behind the bar if they worked there. Low and behold finally I was acknowledged. The person I spoke to told me that she didn't see me and another said "I thought you were waiting on a table." If I was waiting on a table and had not been acknowledged by that point I would have simply walked out. I told the girl I was waiting on my order and she went and quickly got it. I paid and left. When I got home I opened the pizza and was appalled at the most tragic pizza I have ever seen. Photos will reflect. We were so hungry, it was also pretty late, so we took some pictures and ate it. Unfortunately the tasted the pizza did not make up for its ugly appearance. I have been in the service industry for a very long time and the service I just experienced was unacceptable by anyone's standards. I would have gotten better service and product from McDonald's next door. This is the second time the food has not impressed me. Needless to say we will never return
(1)Melissa J.
Great thin crust pizza. My sister, husband and I split a Greek white pizza which had sun dried tomatoes, feta, olives and spinach. It was delicious. They only have one size for their pizza and the size seemed perfect for 3 people. It looks like they have some pretty sweet deals. You can get a pitcher of beer and cheese pizza for $15. Our waitress was super friendly too. Loved it.
(4)Eucli B.
Came in here for a beer and some food. Onion rings were great and buffalo chicken wrap was fantastic, huge portion. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Yet to try their pizza but that's next on my to do list. Good location and plenty of parking.

Saw this place on GrubHub so I decided to give it a try. Tonight I ordered the 2 pizza & wings special. I ordered a plain pizza and buffalo chicken pizza, with buffalo wings. I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries. Delivery was pretty quick, 30 minutes faster than they estimated. I opened the wings and I was pretty disappointed. There were like 5.5 wings, nothing special just regular baked chicken with a side of bbq sauce. This is not what I ordered. I could have sworn I asked for buffalo sauce. Well I'm sure that I did actually. In any event, these wings weren't anything to rave about. The sweet potato fries were amazing. Simple and tasty. The plain pizza was really good, the sauce taste so fresh and a little sweet. The buffalo chicken pizza was great too! There were generous amounts of chicken on each slice. I love the way the crust tastes, by far the best pizza I've had since living out here. I will certainly order from here again. But I plan to stay away from the wings.

Great...and I mean GREAT....thin crust pizza. Perfect sauce, cheese and seasoning. Strongly dislike the new location/atmosphere. Loved the "diviness" of the old location. We used to stop at the old location for some pizza and beer before heading to Fenway. It was the PERFECT hole in the wall dive bar....right down to the hole in the men's room door. Yuppies stayed away because they were scared...which left the place to the REAL customers. I went to new location on a Friday night (excited about the improved parking situation) and there was a DJ and a strobe light...will not be "dining in" again anytime soon. If it ain't broke don't fix it! I guess all I am left with is stories of the pizza place that ONLY offered pizza and calzones...served on paper plates with plastic utensils. It had character, and I miss it.

Here it is, the best pizza I've ever had. The pizza is a little salty, but still great. The crust is nice and crunchy when you bite into it. The cheese has a nice seasoning to it. Everytime I bite into the cheese, it just gives off flavor. This helps give it a distinctive flavor. That's what I look for in any food. The sauce just might be the best of any pizza. It's crazy good. The jug also has a good deal. If you buy three pizzas, you get one free cheese pizza. I was happy to see The Brown Jug on Phantom Gourmet recently. It definetly deserved to be on their.

Traditional Italian pizza making is a dying art, and the Brown Jug still does it right. It seems that Domino's, other chains, and Greeks have taken over even this area. If you want a great pizza, look no further....

My boyfriend and I heard great things about The Brown Jug so decided to give it a try. We were disgusted to say the least. First of all, the restaurant sign is covered by a tree. We got inside and were seated at a table that was lopsided (everything was sliding off the table). We ordered drinks and waters, never got the water. For an appetizer we got the antipasto salad which came with no dressing on it, so we waited 15 minutes for someone who worked there to come around. We asked for dressing and she went under the cash register and gave us 2 packets of dressing (gross). Our pizza came out and tasted stale the ingredients were not fresh and the dough was hard. Also no one came over to ask how anything was or if we needed anything. My boyfriend finished his beer then we had to share mine because no one asked if he needed another. Basically, I think that this restraunt is both under managed and under staffed.

I'm just giving 4 stars for the pepperoni pie. Not that anything else was bad, but that's all I had. And I had it take out - so my review doesn't reflect the atmosphere, wait staff, etc., just the pizza. And the pizza was very, very good thin crust. Better than I expected from a place I hadn't heard of. Almost Santarpio's good (5 stars), but the crust wasn't quite as crispy as I like it. But it was a better pizza then you get at 95% of the places around Boston. Well done. I'll be back.

As other reviews stated definetly a dive bar...a place I wouldnt dare enter...but for a great slice of pizza...in I went. I ordered the vegetarian thin crust based on the thin cruste reviews. Eggplant, Olives, Broccoli, Onions, Green Peppers was the toppings. I love eggplant...it was the breaded kinda. Broccoli is a must on any veggie pizza...this broccoli was shredded??? kinda like the crumbs at the bottom of a bag of frozen broccoli. Not what I was looking for but ok. So the veggies arent fresh and the toppings were not very well disbursed. It could have been a little more crispy for a thin crust. Pizzas are $12.50 but there is a $15 minimum dilivery. Nothing else on the menu but pizza and calzones. Overall I think it was an "OK" pizza...would I go again?? I doubt it.

my top 3 pizza places in the north shore area beats out santarpios by far great drinks very affordable

I'm not sure if I've written a review already or not. I went to a place called the New Brown Jug several years ago in Chelsea and got a great deal on a pizza and a pitcher of beer. Recently I went to this place, in Revere, called the Brown Jug where I got a great deal on a pizza and pitcher of beer. So, I'm confused if this is the new, New Brown Jug or the new Brown Jug or the new, old New Brown Jug.... Regardless all the the pizza was great, the beer was reasonable, it was far more welcoming then the Chelsea version. Service was great...until it was time to pay and our server disappeared for, no lie, 25 minutes. Kind of ruined a great night of pizza and beer but the food held up well enough I still gave it 4 stars

My friend and I were looking to meet up for some beers and food, and I came across The Brown Jug on Yelp while I was looking for a good pizza and beer joint in the Chelsea-Saugus-Revere area. I don't normally dine in Chelsea as I currently live in Beverly and work in Woburn. My friend works in Weston and lives in Medford. I'm not sure the Chelsea location was best, but I am thankful for the opportunity to try this place out. If you have read some of my previous postings, you would know that I am a pizza and beer fanatic, so the Jug just made sense. We weren't looking to spend a lot of money either, so that gave it additional appeal. Getting to the Jug was an experience in itself as the address listed here, on their website, and everywhere else is correct, but both Google and MapQuest still direct you to their old location. Only their website has a map of their new location, but that isn't very helpful either. I had to call them and get specific directions from the very helpful woman who had answered the phone. Upon entering inside, I immediately trotted over to the bar area and grabbed two seats at the bar. The area is very spacious with the lengthy bar, lots of pub tables, and a lot of new flat screen TVs everywhere. They had the usual standard beer taps and I was hoping to do their pitcher-of-beer-and-pizza special for $15, but you can only choose Bud, Bud Light, and Coors Light beers. My friend and I passed. We first shared a basket of their seasoned fries, which were plentiful and surprisingly very tasteful for what appeared to be only salt, pepper, and garlic powder sprinkled on them. Next we shared two pizzas with plain and veggie toppings (my friend is a vegetarian). The pizzas come in one size (14" I believe), cut into 6 slices, and they were light, crispy, and had a perfect amount of cheese and fresh tomato sauce. The toppings were also extremely fresh and delicious. This was very good pizza. I highly recommend trying the Jug if you are in the area looking for some good pub food and pizza, cheap beer, and to catch some sports. They're also close enough to the Showcase cinema in Revere if you want to catch a flick.

I miss the old Brown Jug, when Dante was in the kitchen making the pizza's..... Anyway, after about 100 years being away from this city, I met up with some friends for a get together. It is now located where the Parkway Plaza movie theater use to be, the entire place has changed, and I am not going to comment on the city. I had a Brown Jug Custom, it was fine..... My problem is that I have traveled the world several times, fly first class and the memories of me being a drunkard at the bar puking are long gone...today I am a rich successful pain in the ass with a slide show in my head of the past.... The place is up to standards for what it is...service is what it is and food is what it is... I

I will never eat at "The Brown Jug" again. After ordering a pizza, which was delicious, we were getting ready to leave and the waitress came over to our area and started cleaning up the area. She cleaned the tables with spray and a rag, however, after she swept the floor with a broom, she used the same broom to clean off the chairs that customers sit on. When I saw this, I got sick to my stomach. After seeing this, it makes me wonder about how clean the cooking area is.

Great hidden gem in Chelsea near the Home Depot. Drove past this place many times before I deceided to come in for a pizza. The pizza here is thin crust which are very hard to find in the Greater Boston Area. I had the Hawaiian Pizza (bacon, ham, and pineapple) along with the Fried Raviolli appetizer. I would give the pizza a B+ and the raviolli's a B-, they were a little bland. I got take out so I can't comment on the service but the hostess who took our order was very helpful although withg the amount of phone calls she was getting it looked like she was running a sports book. Overall this is a great new local pizza stop next time I'm in the mood for some thin crust.

I've never been to the old location, but I heard a few weeks ago that they moved to the old Pollo Loco location and I knew I had to try it out! So, the fiance and I stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised. Now, he grew up going to the old location on a regular basis (before it became sketchy, apparently), and always raved to me about the pizza. We got their cheese pizza and pitcher of beer special. It was something like $14 or $15, which is a great deal! The new location is very nice, but not overly nice. Benches and tables with country-looking tablecloths line the restaurant, and on the other side, there is a bar. A few flatscreen TVs are strewn about the walls as well. Our waitress never ended up giving us any menus, which was disappointing, because I wanted to see what else they had besides pizza. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to save that for a future trip. We were here on a mission, and that mission was pizza. The pizza was very very good -- better than the Santarpio's we had the week before. The crust was thin and crisp. The sauce was sweet but also tart, and it had the perfect amount of cheese and not too much grease. The crust was so crispy that the pizza slice couldn't even be folded in half. But, the pizza is on the smaller side (good for two people, but probably not enough for three since there are only six slices), so you don't need to fold the slice at all if you don't want to. It was piping hot and served very quickly. I honestly think it took us longer to get our drinks than it did the pizza. Given its service, location and prices, I'm sure we'll be back here again soon to have more pizza and try out some of their other menu items.

Excellent pizza, excellent service! I spoke with two employees who were very understanding and accommodating with my sister's soy allergy. And even though they told there still was a bit of soy in the dough, the steps they took to eliminate it from the remaining ingredients did the trick! Hope to be back soon!
(5)Kitty M.
wen to this place as a kid...stopped eating pizza when I developed a gluten allergy...guess what! brown jug now offers a gluten free pizza! tried it last night with cheese and garlic..it was out of this world! I love you brown jug!
(5)David C.
I had been told that this pizza was the best this side of the Mississippi. Man, I was not steered wrongly. This place had amazing pizza -- thin, a bit greasy, and an amazing flavor. Do not come with high expectations for atmosphere, but come with an appetite!
(5)Ryan S.
Upgraded to 5 Stars because: 1. We got a cheese pizza and two pitchers of beer for $23 bucks. 2. Darts and arcade games are very enjoyable to me. 3. The people take good care of you and give it a great neighborhood feel. 4. I like fried eggplant on my veggie pizza.
(5)D D.
Went to The Brown Jug with my father last night. The service, the pizza & the cinnamon sugar fried dough were all amazing! The antipasti was basic but fresh.
(5)Lisa C.
The pizza at this place is unbelievable. I'm talkin' - eat a large cheese (by yourself) because you can't stand to not enjoy this masterpiece while it's hot. I love pizza burn on the roof of my mouth. That's it. Love this joint.
(5)Moxie M.
Having been to the old New Brown Jug on a couple of occasions, I was more than excited when they moved to the new location in the up-and-coming Home Depot shopping plaza. I could now get their fantastic thin-crust pizza and beer combo without running the risk of unwittingly getting mugged or pregnant. (I kid.) The waitstaff has always been more than pleasant and the pizza is fantastic. The prices are unbeatable, and while not fancy, the new place is clean and comfortable. They have some flat-screens on which to watch the game, if you so choose, and some nights there's even live, local music in the bar. My man-friend and I like to hit this place up for a cheap pitcher and pie, which costs less than $15, unheard of in Boston. If you haven't stopped by the new-old-New Brown Jug, now just The Brown Jug (guess the new-news cancel each other out?), get on down there. You might not be transcended, but you'll be contented.

Just moved here from Chicago and arrived pretty late. We decided to go out and get a quick bite. Where did we end up, The New Brown Jug. I was more than a little hesitant when I walked in at 10:00pm at night to grab a bite with my husband. It is not in the best area, dark inside, and everyone turned to look at us when we walked in. Except no one said a word. So we roamed around for a couple minutes till a waitress finally approached us. Note: This is definately a NO Frills place. Here was my immediate facebook post: Just walked into a somewhat shady looking pizza joint. We asked what was faster to make pizza or a calzone, our waitress answered "beer". John asked for an ice tea, our waitress smiled and said "long island ice tea right?" They don't have.... ice tea. There are no non-alcoholic drinks on the menu and only one size pizzas. A pizza and a pitcher of beer $14! Well ... I must say after we relaxed got our alcoholic drinks and filled our hungry bellies with their pizza. I am a HUGE fan! The pizza was thin, crisp, and very delicious. We were both surprisely and happily impressed. Our waitress was actually quite nice with a bit of New England sarcasm and service was great once we sat down. I have since just ordered delivery and skipped going in, but I am a huge fan of the pizza and the calzones are great! Definately on my go to place for great pizza!

The new location (the former being behind Russo's Tux Shop) still gets a 4/10 on the sketch scale in my book; the bar area was still kinda creepy on a Saturday afternoon. But still a marked improvement over the 11/10 sketch the previous place had. Yeah, prices went up, but the pizza seems to still be the same. And the pizza boxes are actually made out of cardboard now, not that pretty-much-waxpaper containers they used to have. It's nice to be able to do carry-out without grease dripping straight through the box. The pizza is ok, but it's the crust that sets it apart from the rest. I noticed "double-crust" on the menu for a couple dollars more -- that's probably the way to go.

Best white pizza...
(5)Will W.
One of the best greasy spoon-dive bar combos around Boston. I end up here often in the summer because I play baseball at Chelsea High semi regularly. Maybe I'm biased because the post-industrial decay of Chelsea inspires a perverse longing for the city of my formative years; New Bedford. They make a delicious thin crust pizza that is hella cheap. I believe its something like $8 for a pitcher of domestic and a cheese pizza. After destroying a team full of Uncle Ricos there isn't much better to wash away the taste of victory.
(4)Johnna M.
My tradition is to go get a pizza here before seeing a movie in Revere. The Jug looks unbelievably seedy from the outside-brown building with barely any windows and one large steel door. The inside though has a really nice homey feeling. Perhaps not the cleanest-but what do you expect with the price? The pizza is absolutely delicious-I am a girl who appreciates thin crust with lots of veggies! I did not like the ricotta, meat special-ricotta? on pizza? nono. They have a surprisingly large drink list but the real thing to do here is buy the beer pitcher. The waitstaff is amazing!! It is a really cheap, laid back place to grab a beer and pizza. Plus walking through the door is still an adrenalin rush. Cash only!
(5)Lindsay H.
Pizza and a pitcher for $15 I approve! The Brown Jug is a great place to come after work for a drink with friends. They do have a large dining area but I've only ever sat in the bar. Menu includes a small array of food from meatballs, pizza, and hamburgers. I've never been here late at night but I do hear they have live music on weekends in the bar.
(4)Melissa S.
If I didn't already live in Chelsea, I'd seriously have to consider moving here for this pizza. This pizza is the best pizza I've had in the Boston Area hands down. Santarpio's, Bucchieri's, I'm sorry but the Jug has beaten you. Their white pizza with ricotta and eggplant is to die for - the crust - closest I've come to Napoli style pizza and I'm talking Naples, Italy, NOT Naples, Maine. Free delivery.
(5)Julie W.
Okay, so I really didn't even want to go inside when I first heard about this place. There are bars on the limited windows and it just looks really run down. However, everyone in our waterfront hood was raving about this pizza so inside I ventured. I will not eat pizza from anywhere else ever again! They have, hands down, the best pizza. Sometimes I ask for extra sauce because it can be a little dry for me, but even dry (by my standards) it's still SO good.
(5)Dan P.
This would get 5 stars if the service wasn't so slow. It truly is a great find for food in Chelsea. My girlfriend and I have gone there twice now and the food has been great both times. The only bad thing is the service was so slow to get a pizza and sweet potato fries, that the fries were a little soggy. Great prices, and we were told there was an outside patio opening up soon, more than likely this weekend.
(4)Bassel A.
BEST PIZZA IN MA! I don't like the Bar, the clientale, the location - but if I can give this place 6 stars I would because the pizza is that GOOD. My mouth is actually watering right now thinking about the pizza there. When I go I usually buy an extra pizza so I can eat it the next day too. I can't say enough about the pizza there.
(5)H N.
Great place for cheap but yummy pizza and drinks. Don't be put off by the sketchy exterior or cheesy interior.
(4)J U.
Cheap beer and tasty pizza. It's not fancy by any means (it is in Chelsea after all) but it serves it's purpose. Low key and casual. Not a bad hit if your in the area.
(3)Cosmo X.
Went to the new one across from Home Depot.. Pizza wasn't as good as it use to be. Prices jumped a bit. arcade machines in there??? I'm all done with this place.. Its back to Santarpios in EB or Pizza regina at Polcari's.. No problem
(2)Sadie T.
When I go back east this is a must have. Awesome pizza!!! I wish I was in MA to enjoy it. This place has such tasty goodness and lots of memories for me. I enjoyed it as a child and an adult, now I'm living in Los Angeles envious of all you New Englanders who get to enjoy this amazing pizza. Oh you have no idea what pizza hell I've been living in over here on the West Coast. Anyway if you haven't tried it YOU MUST and please have a slice for me. I gave it 5 stars based on the pizza not the location. This place is what it is, a little hole in the wall with great pizza, you go there for that not to be wined and dined.
(5)Melissa O.
I've always loved the pizza and the calzones, but now that the new location doesn't have the "did I forget my bullet-proof vest?" feel too it, I'd love to give it a 6th star!
(4)Veronica D.
Great food! Always has been one of my favorite places. Atmosphere is perfect for a low key night where you might run into a few familiar faces! Bartenders are awesome!
(4)Lenny D.
Hole in the wall pizza/bar - You can't beat the pizza & beer (pitcher) special! The best thin-crust pizza in greater Boston. Quick service, friendly, townie - just as you would expect in Chelsea; A must visit place (they're moving soon across on the other side of Rt. 16).
(5)Kelly S.
Cheap pizza and cheap beer! Great place to grab a quick dinner. There is a bar side with some arcade games, darts, three TVs and a full bar. The other side is a sit down restaurant with booths. We have sat on both sides of the restaurant and it's equally enjoyable :) It'sdefinitely a chill, local place to hang out on the cheap :)
(4)Tony C.
Pizza , pitcher of Beer, and Football. Perfect guy day while the female(s) are out shopping
(5)Katherine I.
One of the most respectable Cheese pizzas in the city and beyond. An amalgamation of thin, crispy crust, marinara sauce, blended cheeses. They offer filling calzones too but, the pizza is where it's at. Last I was in there (years & years ago) the interior was really run down, and a lot of the clientele looked like they hadn't seen a good day in years. Sorta like Santarpios in East Boston, but with a darker interior. I'm a little too "refined" for re-entry. So, I get delivery. Cash only.
(5)Karl B.
I'm not sure if the New Brown Jug received a limited edition shipment of Coors Light's, but they were simply outstanding, and cheap, $2.95 a bottle, or $2 a pint. The clientel were friendly and fans of acid washed jeans, man-pris, and flip flops. While our crew certainly didn't fit in, we were accepted nonetheless. We were given a free Guiness and a quick peep show of some man's junk. I can't explain either, but having not seen the junk, I rate the New Brown Jug a 4 out of 5. Had I not felt like I was the kid in the corner of the final seen of the Blair Witch Project when I tested out the restroom, I would have awarded it a perfect 5 out of 5.
(4)Laura R.
Ok pizza, far from the best. Dining room was freezing. New England is know for free refills , but not here. I don't think $11 for a small pizza is such a great price. Service was horrible at a nonbusy time of day.
(2)Freddie C.
brown jug is a sure thing...low prices, great pizza decent environment. 14'' pizzas you can build yourself or order the gourmet pizzas which already have the toppings picked out,red or white, etc,...we had one scampi pizza and one regular pie which we added sausage and onion to...both were great..and even the next day when reheated they were still delicious. i definitly would go back to the brown jug. but santarpio's is better by far and so is bianci's.
(4)Dave L.
I have to agree with Francine here. This is the best thin crust pizza there is. Its right off of Route 1 north (over the tobin bridge) if you are curious! Highly recommended for pizza, although the atmosphere is a bit sketch.
(5)Scott P.
the new new new Brown Jug is too new& too clean. pizza was not the same as the original JUG, says this Chelsea boy. the old location should be turned into a Methodone clinic in honor of patrons passed.
(1)Eric I.
Awesome pizza for great prices. I was sad when I saw the old location empty. Luckily they just moved. Best place to satisfy the craving for a pitcher of beer & good pizza.
(4)Jess R.
I'm a big fan of dive bars and good New Haven style pizza and this place has that magic combination. Cheap beer and wine, surly wait staff with hearts of gold, and bad country and 80s hair band music from the out of place high tech jukebox makes for a great night out.
(4)Jay P.
I have been hearing about this place for years and never tried it, went there the other day and it was gone! Little did I know they moved to a new location. We got directions from the Tux place and off we went. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza was I might add a star when I go back a few more times for other items but I have to say the pizza is awesome. I will be back soon and I'll bring friends!
(4)Marcus D.
I have to say it: the Brown Jug is BETTER than Santarpio's. If Santarpio's lost the attitude they would be on the same level as the Brown Jug, plus all the Bridge and Tunnel arseholes from Newton and Brookline are too scared to come into Chelsea, so you will get a bunch of locals and regulars here. Great to just sit in here eating pizza and drinking beer with a couple of friends. Don't be afraid of the ambiance - it is what we call local color.
(4)Maria P.
Our destination tonight was Santarpio's, but with the 20 minute wait in the cold and a hungry 8 y.o. in our party, we moved on. I remembered some review somewhere about The Brown Jug, so we called 411 and got connected. The person who answered the phone was great, assured us there was no wait and went beyond the call to get us there. It is in a strip mall with a Home Depot and a McDonald's in Chelsea and would have been easily missed by us, as we do not know the area. Plenty of easy parking and a curious drive thru (not active I think) in the lot. We were greeted and seated quickly, our waiter was with us right away and she was consistently attentive and charming throughout the meal. Went for a cheese pizza and a Brown Jug Special pizza, hold the fish, for the three of us. Only one size is offered 14", and a good bargain at $9 for the plain cheese. The crust was thin and a-m-a-z-i-n-g, with delicious slightly sweet sauce and generous cheese without being overloaded, gummy or chewy. This is for sure some of the best pizza in the Greater Boston area. I left off one star because of the uncomfortable seating in the booths, hard wood, no cushion and slipping on the floor when the person in the booth behind moves. This is a new location for The Brown Jug, and it would have been wise to invest in some new furniture too. Don't miss this spot though - every bite was sensational!
(4)Paula G.
Okay get rid of the pictures below! The Brown Jug has relocated and is a 100% superior location. There is tons of parking and it's in such a great area, You have a MacDonald's, Chilies, Home Depots, and Papa Gino's, for other eateries. If for some reason you go to all of them and the "Jug"; hop over to CVS for a little Mylanta for a nightcap. The pizza and prices can't be beat, again love that Roni and Pineapple. Mushroom & Onion pizza was also a hit. Last week had the appetizer sampler and the offerings were kind of sparse. The onion rings today were only average, The Waitresses are cool. I have to give this a 4.5 because they now have appertizers, take credit cards and inside looks great! They really have prime Chelsea Real Estate!
(4)Frank L.
OK, I finally took the plunge and went to the new location...MUCH nicer location, a bit more expensive but not too bad. Had a garlic and roasted pepper pizza that was terrific, very much up to par with the original location. The bartender was terrific and overall, I was extremely pleased. Check it out. It is directly between the CVS and McDonalds's, set back a bit so you will have to look for it but I think you will be pleased
(5)Dorothy M.
This is the Oldest Pizza Place around, that I know. They haven't changed a thing. The booth's are the old fashioned wood high backs, very rustic. You get paper plates and forks, knives. You can get the Special which is a Cheese Pizza and Pitcher of beer. They also serve Calzones that are scumptious. We get one of each but that's it for the Menu. Pizza and Calzone. Very reasonably priced. We Love the Jug. :-}
(5)Beth L.
Ordered delivery from there for the first and last time tonight, this place is AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! the delivery is very slow i legit live right up the street 50 mins is a lil rediculous, the pizza is god awful, the crust is tastless and bland, my 3 year old could of made a better pizza i have always heard good things about this place but really could not be more disapointed PLEASE DONT WASTE UR TIME OR MONEY!
(1)Danielle F.
Typical Hole in the Wall Bar/Pizza Restaurant. Nothing fancy about it, but their Cheese Pizza and a Pitcher of Beer for like 12.95 can not be beat. Their thin crust pizza is fantastic, nothing better. They have at least 10 different types of calzones, all fantastic. They do not take credit cards, however. They also have delivery to Chelsea and Revere.
(4)Brian D.
If the Brown Jug were to ever shut it's doors, I might stop eating pizza forever. It would definitely be the last time I got a pitcher of Coors Light. You don't go to the Jug or the service, the decor, or the scene (though I have no problem with any of those things) - you got for the best pizza this side of Santarpios. The comparison is inevitable, the the places are totally different. From a pizza perspective, it's a toss-up. The Jug's pizza is based on a delicious, perfectly crispy-but-chewy crust and is topped with a moderate amount of tasty, perfectly spiced sauce and bubbly, crusty cheese. Santarpios can tend to get a bit swampy and unmanageable, especially when the Crew is cranky (Jug is HANDS DOWN more consistent). The thing that makes Jug win the head-to-head battle are the calzones. Jake's Steak (while they last), Spinach/Ricotta/Sausage, even the old standby Cold Cuts - these are authentic Italian calzones that would make Nana blush. When I first started going, the special (cheese and a pitcher of cold crappy american lager beer) was $8.50. It's probably more like $14 now (I forget) but it's still worth every penny. This place is a legend.
(5)Matthew C.
(4)Chris F.
(3)Alan M.

Waited 2 hours for delivery and never showed. I use to order there all the time and from time to time they would mess up the order but never 2 hours. I called to ask what happened they said they could put the pizzas in the oven now. I was like what? U want me to wait another 20min? I said no thank u and ask for a manager. The manager came on the line and told me that I never gave them an address or phone # to call back. Lol. I was like what r u talking about I order from your establishment all the time, as a matter of fact my orders r always in the $40 to $50 dollar range. (Plus what world do they live in? I guess they do not have caller ID!!)I went on to tell the manger that at this point he was basically calling me a lier. He stated that he was not and do i want the pizza or not? Of course I refused to order and never will ever again from them. U would think that they would have some sort of customer loyalty but I guess not. It just goes to show u that u as an individual mean nothing to these businesses.

I don't get it, it used to be so good
(2)Paul B.

(4)Eric W.
(2)Bo F.
(3)Robert H.

(5)Pete B.
Typical Papas. There's a loud obnoxious guy at the register named joe that overcharged me on purpose
(3)Christina V.
Decent pizza place
(4)Jay R.
(5)Angela P.

(5)Julie D.
(4)John F.

(4)Adam B.
(4)Steven L.

Loved it.

(4)Herb Z.
Traditional Italian pizza making is a dying art, and the Brown Jug still does it right. It seems that Domino's, other chains, and Greeks have taken over even this area. If you want a great pizza, look no further....

(5)Veronica D.
This is the Oldest Pizza Place around, that I know. They haven't changed a thing. The booth's are the old fashioned wood high backs, very rustic. You get paper plates and forks, knives. You can get the Special which is a Cheese Pizza and Pitcher of beer. They also serve Calzones that are scumptious. We get one of each but that's it for the Menu. Pizza and Calzone. Very reasonably priced. We Love the Jug. :-}
