Who doesn't love fried chicken? This Popeyes will leave you with a smile! The workers are super friendly, fast and really nice! The manager there does a really good job with the employees and when it's busy he'll come out and help with crowd. The food is fresh, and if they run out of fries they will put more right in and it's not a long wait at all. The best part is that I know the food is not just sitting if there's no customers! The He manager even offered if I'd like a drink while I waited! The place is really nice and clean also! Like I said they do a good job keeping it up! The meals are affordable and super delicious!!!!

The Best Service Ever. I have been to this Popeye's four times. On all four visits, the staff had been extremely attentive, Polite, and upbeat. Alvin, the manager, makes you feel like a valued customer. He helps with customers orders when needed. He visits the customers at their tables and asked how things are going. The restaurant is very clean. The staff members clean frequently and talk with customers when they are in the dining area. The staff is always upbeat and helpful. The food is always fresh and hot. We like the spicy chicken, it has a nice kick to it. It is always moist and tender. My preference for a side is the red beans and rice. They do have mild chicken, shrimp, and fish. There is an assortment of sides to choose from. We first had Popeye's in Texas and loved it. In NH, we had to drive 2 hours to Maine for Popeye's. Yes, we would plan a day trip and eat at Popeye's, Now there is one in Chelmsford and Salem, NH. We love the one in Chelmsford and look forward to our next visit in July. P.S.-The one in Salem NH is not good.

Im so excited that we finally have a Popeyes! I had never had it before but was eager to try it when i noticed them starting to build it in Drum Hill. The first few weeks it was open it was way too crowded to even get near but once it slowed down a little i made sure to get there immediately. I am seriously addicted to the popcorn shrimp. They have the perfect amount of spicy kick to them and their cocktail sauce among their other famous sauces is really good. I also love their blackened ranch sauce on just about everything. Their chicken beats kfc any day of the week. Its so crispy and always filling. Although you may pay $8-$10 for a meal at what you consider a fast food place it is so worth it. Portion sizes are great not to mention their great sides and biscuits that come with every meal. I'd also like to mention how friendly the staff has always been when I'm in there. They are vey talkative and make the environment fun. If you haven't tried Popeyes yet you need to get there!

Brand new Popeye's, just opened this past Sunday. I visited today to pick up lunch to go. There was a long line, but it took only 5 minutes or so from wait to check out, not bad assuming it is a new crew. I ordered the mild chicken with mashed potatoes and red beans and rice. The chicken was hot, fresh and crispy. The sides were all they should be- spicy, but not too spicy. This is a nice addition to the area- I'll be back to sample some of the other menu items.

Forget KFC, or Crown Fried Chicken... There is no better fast fried chicken than popeyes. We got the 10 piece deal and with potatos and cajun fries.. Not greasy at all. Just all tasty.. I have happily found my new vice...

Nice service, but it's chicken it's just so so. I can only say it's another KFC. I can't taste the difference between them. The only thing that it is better than KFC is Popeyes have its own restaurant.

Not bad for fast food, but my big complaint is that at lunch and dinner time half of Drum Hill now smells like fried chicken.

Porsha was the cashier and she had great customer service. I have seen her a couple times and she is always on point with the orders and updating us about the status of our orders if it took longer than normal. Service was efficient. Albert the store manager was AMAZING. I usually do a lot of takeout and typically get okay service elsewhere. However, Albert and the rest of the staff were all pleasant, even when I ordered my items 15 mins prior to closing. Not only was he nice but he was super efficient and professional as a manager overseeing the productivity till close. I don't get that kind of welcoming at most food restaurants. This isn't the first time I have experience great service here. Really liked the A+++ customer service that the Chelmsford Popeyes promote and will definitely go back. Oh and the food. Great food. great price. Might be a little pricier than KFC but it's totally worth it.

Just love that Popeyes chicken! The place is packed all the time service can get a little confused at times but in the end nothing beats that salt hot goodness!

Super nice. Very family friendly. We had our hands full with the kiddos and they went out of their way to make sure we had what we need. Easily the cleanest, nicest Popeyes I've ever been in. Bravo!!!

Finally made it to the new Popeye's. This location is brand new and is located in a former Saints clinic walk-in center. After waiting about a month after the grand opening and letting the "newness" factor with the hustling and bustling wind down, we finally gave Popeye's a shot. At 4 PM. on a Thursday, the place was packed. Was busy from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Clearly people like this type of place, or it is still remnant of the "new" factor. The line moved fairly quickly and the staff seemed well trained and knew what they were doing. Unlike typical fast food joints, there is no "cashier"; the person who takes your order also fills it and completes it as you move down the line. They had 4 people running the front line dealing with customers and all of them were informative and kept the line running at a steady clip. I was impressed with the staff; much more informative and helpful than most typical fast food enjoyment. As for the food, I ordered a 5 piece chicken tender meal while my partner ordered Cajun fish which was cooked to order. My meal was great, tenders were well seasoned and I did taste a "Southern" feel to it. Fries were hot and crunchy and the sauces were different and tasty. My partners meal was a little bit of a let down. The fish was cooked to order, which was great to be cooked fresh, but they served him his sides right away and was sat down without the fish. The coleslaw side was incredibly small and he ate both his biscuit, as well as mine, before the fish was delivered. The "Cajun" fish was frozen fish sticks with no southern flare whatsoever. He ate all 3 pieces but left Popeye's still hungry. My main gripe with this place is the prices. $8.99 for a frozen-to-fried meal? McDonald's and Burger King are much cheaper for about the same quality of fast food. I will admit that Popeye's has a distinct taste that is unique. I will give Popeye's a shot in the future, but will not be missing them in the meantime.

Popeyes has great food and service. When you walk in the people and staff are well trained and organized. Most places lack service and could care less about the customer. Try it out for lunch, dinner or if you are hosting a weekend event. You will not be disappointed.

Brand spanking new, still has that corporate training vibe. Everyone was friendly and on their A game, which was good considering the controlled chaos. Lines were moving smoothly, dining area super clean. Our family really, really loved the chicken, I thought biscuits and sides were just okay, but they all enjoyed them. Hopefully they can keep towing the line 6 months from now!

Great, friendly staff and fast service. This was the first Popeye's that I have ever tried. I was pleasantly surprised. My task now is to find one near where I live as I found this one while on a trip!

Please don't tell the nice staff at the Vietnamese place down the street - where we were supposed to have dinner tonight - about the chat we had in the car on our way there: Driver: We're almost there. Me: Look! There's a new Popeye's! Driver: So, do you wan- Me: YES! As of this review, it's only in its 4th week of operation. It's incredibly busy, but the lines move fast. I can't believe how quickly the huge trays of chicken and fries and sides came out, keeping the line moving. They have one of those Coca-Cola Freestyle machines for your soda. They've almost always got someone working in the dining area sweeping and cleaning. The staff here are great, very friendly and helpful, and I've never seen so many employees behind the counter smiling, even during the hectic dinner hour. It was a very enjoyable dining experience. On a cold night such as tonight, hot Pho would have been good comfort food... Popeye's Cajun fried chicken works even better!

Popeyes is my only chain fast food indulgence. I love their spicy fried chicken. All the side orders I've tried are just fair. My main complaint with this location is that they are frequently out of spicy chicken. Come on! That's like McDonald's being out of Big Macs, or Sunoco being out of regular gas. You mainly sell two types of chicken - mild and spicy - have both! It isn't that they're slammed when I go either. Every time I've been there and they're out of spicy chicken, there's just a few people placing orders. Come on Popeyes' management, get with the program!

When we ordered, everything that we wanted was out front ready for serving. And by the time we paid, we had to wait 9 minutes for spicy chicken and 3 for mild, so we changed our order from half and half to all mild. And then waited. And waited and waited in a crowded lobby full of other people waiting for chicken, including a guy who had paid and been waiting since before we even ordered. They're completely not able to keep up. I lack patience. They did offer me a free drink to compensate for the wait, but I don't drink soda so that was useless to me. Also, on arriving at our destination, we discovered that they didn't give us our fries; they gave us someone else's tenders and biscuits. Since the thing my husband was most looking forward to was the fries, this was extra disappointing.
