The only two taco bell locations in the entire Boston area are here and NEU's main student center. NEU's taco bell is good but they only have limited options to choose from and they don't serve chalupas. It is unacceprable and it is a disgrace to all mankind. Now, on the other hand, this place has a full menu INCLUDING CHALUPAS AND BAJA BLAST. If you live in Boston and you want to get your taco bell fix, come over to this chain and get your money's worth.

++Chalupa chicken. Delicious. Basically a fried pita-like bread with its bread softness still maintained with the innards of a taco. ++Dorito tacos with squeezed hot sauce wedged in between? The bomb! Very crispy shell; it will crumble but the meat inside

It's a Taco Bell in a mall, so expectations should be managed. I tried the Dorito taco thing, which tasted like a taco that someone had put some Doritos in. Not too bad. There was some kind of deep fried cereal confection, which I had to taste, because you can't pass on something that horrifying. It was, as expected, overly saccharine and pretty gross, but I'm guessing the pre-teen and younger set loves it. As it's in a mall, there's a food court, and there were plenty of free tables, most of which were clean enough. I doubt I'll come back, given that this was my first visit to a Taco Bell in at least fifteen years, but if TB is your jam, this one is fine.

I've been to Mexico. I've eaten authentic Mexican food. I'm not quite sure if Taco Bell ever stepped foot in the country before though. Never-the-less, bravo. Just do yourself a favor Taco Bell, perhaps visit the country one time, because as hard as I looked while over the border, I did not find one instance of Dorito taco shells.

Love the food but their staff needs to learn how to be more friendly & more customer service oriented, not look like they hate their lives and their jobs. 3 freakin' stars!!

Do I even need to explain. Cheesy gordita crunch might be the best invention since the telephone

Thank you, Taco Bell, for contributing to the overall downfall of my health. For real, why are you so damn tasty? Okay, the same general wonderfulness that you'll find South of the Border.... and a would-be 4 star... but their credit card machine has been down for like 2 weeks now... come on Bell! Get that shiznit fixed... you're in a mall food court for jesus sake! And, now, I'd like to end with inappropriate Taco Bell references. Don't forget, when you go South of the Border... eat tacos and think outside the buns. fin.

Taco Bell is Taco Bell is Taco Bell...right, well in this case maybe not. Where is the rest of the menu you guys I mean they do not even have tostada's and why do they not have fire sauce anymore??? Now in fairness I should not be expecting Mexican food that is only 4.00 to be great but at least have a full menu I mean come on guys get with the times here. With it being the only Taco Bell around though it is ok and will satisfy your cravings for the Bell.

You just gotta get some T-Bell every now and then, am I right? They seem to be disappearing (thanks for taking the one out of Warren Towers @ BU, NOT!), so I love the fact that I can grab some when I go shopping at CSG. I LOVE the chalupas and cinnamon twists, you can't get anything like those items anywhere else. Also, they have Brisk Raspberry iced tea here, which is definitely one of my favs.

This is one of the only Taco Bells around metro Boston and I love me some Taco Bell. I don't eat meat and Taco Bell will substitute beans for any meat product so I can eat pretty much anything on the menu. Definitely not somewhere I go daily. The food is heavy on the caloric and sodium side but every once in a while its a nice treat.

Taco Bell is really nice place to get good and fast meal. At least for me and my friends. What i notice that this is very clean and organized place. The staff is extra friendly and they act like you are their best customer or part of their family. seems like they really happy if you like their food and if u satisfied. And it's make you feel special. The food come out really fast. All stuff wear gloves and they change them when start work on other order. I know that how it suppose to be but be honest, not a lot of places does it. And it's very important for my friends because they eat only kosher food. so when we order taco without meat just with vegetables they always ask if we would love some extra beans and i just love them. So this is really good place to go. I didn't give them one more star because i notice that sometimes their cheese are not as fresh as it suppose to be. I told in beginning that my reviews are honest.

Just your typical Taco Bell in case you were in the Cambridgeside Galleria food court and were craving Mexican food. Their staff is everything but Mexican but they will satisfy your craving, especially if its for crunchy tacos as they are one of the very few places to carry such a product... It was recently revamped and it looks much nicer and cleaner. As usual it's very affordable and quick.

I guess as a drive through emergency stop it works well but otherwise no. The staff can't seem to get anything right for anyone ordering. The seating was crowded and the bathroom was extremely small. They completely screwed up our order and seemed to have done the same with everyone else's. Thankfully this is a chain and there are many many other locations.

A Review of Taco Bell Chains. By Dimitri D. Taco Bell is cheap and disgusting. First of all, every single Taco Bell I ever been to (which has been very few) has given me cold food that looks and tastes like dog shit wrapped up in paper. Small note: The bathrooms are DISGUSTING!!! They smell, there's grime and filth growing in the spaces in between the bricks, the paper towel dispensers are usually broken, and there's always someone's shit left in the toilet. I will never as long as I live go to another Taco Bell in my life!!!!!

I really love Taco Bell. And the recent onslaught of commercials gave me a craving so I had to make a run for the border. But my experience at this Taco Bell was definitely sub-par. First, I ordered one crunchy beef taco fresco style and one chicken soft taco fresco style. Neither came fresco style. So sad, I really like the salsa. Second, I asked for a cup of water and the woman taking my order informed me that the water was broken, so they couldn't honor my request. That's not even possible. If your soda fountain works, your water works. When I asked the manager the same question, she gave me the same answer. I'm pretty sure this is just a ruse to get customers to buy $1.75 bottles of water, and it does not make me happy. I'll be taking my Taco Bell business to another franchise next time.

  • Jill H.

This doesn't deserve five stars - nothing in Cambridgeside Galleria really deserves five stars. However, it's still Taco Bell and it's still delicious. Five stars to the franchise for single handedly "McDonaldizing" Mexican Food. By "McDonaldizing" I mean taking some type of food and making it into its own brand (which tastes nothing like the typical cuisine). For example - McDonald's doesn't really taste like a typical cheeseburger, but moreso it just tastes like... "McDonald's". That said, if I feel like real mexican food, I'll head to Border Cafe, or Chipotle in the least... but there is just SOMETHING that makes you want to crave Taco Bell like no other. The Cheesy Gordita Crunch (which may actually be discontinued) is really the kind of thing you can order when you have no idea what you want - it covers all the bases. Partner your meal with a Mountain Dew and your body is SET for carbs/fat/sugar/etc. for the rest of the month. Hey, every once in a while you need it man.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
