My bf was craving for halal food from the nyc carts... so we sought for the next closest thing and found Shawarma King. We shared the Shawarma dinner plate combo for $13.99. It comes with 3 pita breads (bland), meat & chicken (both kind of dry), lots of rice, fresh salad, and some sauce on the side. The portion was so big that we couldn't finish it! ... though it could be because we ordered a small falafel appetizer. Personally, I'm not a big fan of falafels, but my bf wanted to try it for the first time - he thought it was ok. The lemonade with rose water quenched my thirst, but I think I prefer it with regular water? I'll have to update this after I try out some more Middle Eastern restaurants.

I have never eaten a falafel prior to my visit to Shawarma King. My boyfriend insisted I have my first here. OMG it was delicious. Everything about it was pure yumminess. Also their Shawarma salad was very tasty. I didn't realize what I had and figured all falafel's were just that good. I was dead wrong. A week after my visit to Shawarma I ordered a falafel wrap from a place around the corner from where I live and was highly disappointed. Nothing compares to Shawarma King. Now I look for any reason to head into Brookline just so I can stop in.

3.5 stars would've been nice. i enjoyed the shish kabob pita WAY more than the shwarma which i found to be, like everyone else said, too dry. the salads were good with the shwarma plate, but for $15 i was disappointed with the meat. the shish kabob pita though was pretty effing good. the pita was perfectly crispy and chewey, the meat was juicy and tender, and the accompanyments balanced it perfectly. i also LOVE the picnic tables outside so you can sit and people-watch over dinner. that's what tipped the scales into 4-star territory for me because i'd factor that into my dinner decision making.

This place is crowned King for a reason. I think it may be the best fallafel in Boston! In the summer in Brookline, there is nothing better than walking up to Coolidge Corner, paying $5 dollars for a crispy, warm fallafel wrap and eating it on the benches outside with a helping of baklava for dessert. Super Kitsch interior, super yum food...Go get some Shawarma King delight!

Coming from Dubai, I can tell you that their food was not authentic Arabic cuisine at all. The hummus was admittedly good, but the beef and chicken shawarmas were disappointments. The kunafa was TERRIBLE :/

This is a review on their delivery service, I can't speak to the restaurant experience: Okay, shawarma king is great shawarma- when it arrives PROMPTLY and is WARM. I had such a disappointing experience tonight when it took over 2 hours for my order to arrive (and I live in Medford). When the food finally got here the delivery guy seemed grumpy and the food was cold :( That being said, I have had great experiences with them in the past and the food consistently hits the spot and is very reasonably priced. I usually opt for the lamb plate, which is a big portion of shaved meat on a bed of rice and comes with salad. If only they were reliable!

Everyone I know loves the shawarmas at this place but I am just really not into it. I can't quite put my finger on what it is, but I'm just never that blown away by it. Everything is technically proficient, but I always feel the chicken in the shawarma is a little bland. The prices are good and they're open late and the owners are really nice people. I generally like their catering.
(3)
Sharon S.
So, so terrible! The shawarma was dry and tough, the salad was old, how do you make rice taste bad? Shawarma is supposed to be succulent and juicy. The beef/lamb had no lamb and had never seen any fat or meat juices. The chicken was worse. Dry white shreds. The worst, though, was the sauce. It was watery and tasteless.

My daughter and i use to go once a week and sometimes more. Food is good and price is better. However, every time my daughter goes there one particular worker always winks at her making her feel uncomfortable. Since then we stopped going. The food is good but we cannot go somewhere that employs perverts behind the counter. Thank God for him he stays behind the counter.

I am inclining more toward a 3.5 but I will be generous today. The shawarma was probably not the best I've had but it had its perks too. The prices here seem very reasonable and food quality is good too. Service is excellent! I got the plain shawarma roll-up (minus the hummus or baba ganouj which makes the combo) and it was enough to make me really full! The meat was tender and flavorful. The sauce was somewhat spicy (that's what I wanted) but somewhat tangy and it left a weird bitter after taste... but while I was savoring my roll-up sandwich, I was content :) Will stop by again sometime.

awsome food....highly recommended. We ordered Chicken and beef shawarmas, lamb and beef kabob, and few other dishes. We are going there tonight as well. MUST go place if you are in boston area

I have walked past Shawarma King for years and never ventured in, until Saturday. While walking to Coolidge Corner, my mom & I got a yen for falafel and decided to give this place a shot. We both ended up getting Chicken Shawarma: Thinly sliced chicken breast marinated with Shawarma King seasoning. She got hers with Baba Ghanouj and I got mine with Hommous. We split a small order of Falafel with Tahini and ended up with 3, huge falafel balls that were SOO good! Nice and crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We each ordered a Sprite Zero and I opened mine and took a sip and realized it was a regular Sprite. The guy behind the counter apologized, gave me a Zero and asked if I wanted the regular one too. I felt so bad returning an opened can, but it wasn't my fault and he was so nice about it! My Shawarma was so incredibly messy but so good! I can't believe I've been passing this place for years without going in! The people are super nice and they even have benches outside. I'll definitely be getting from here again. I also love that it's open on Saturdays, because Rami's in Coolidge Corner isn't, and that tends to be when we crave falafel!

If possible, I can eat from this place everyday. They have amazing beef and lamb kabobs, also their drinks are so good. They have ayran and they have this great rose lemonade which I still can remember the smell. they also have a great selection of vegetable stews and rice is just as good. I am so glad I discovered this place, a definitely 5-star place!

Being Lebanese, I have a soft spot for my mom's cooking. I think it is the best, and nothing compares to it. Still, I like to give places like this a try. Shawarma King is OK. That's about it. The food isn't outstanding, but it is flavorful and filling. Sometimes it is a bit messy, but still it tastes good. I still haven't found another shawarma joint in the area, but I'm looking. There hummous is OK, kind of "liquidy" and their lamb stew was alright. The portions aren't that big and it is cash only which is kind of annoying. The tabouli was alright. If you can ever make it out to Norwood, MA, try and get to Cedar's Market. It is a Lebanese supermarket that makes shawarmas, and they are the BEST.

I've eaten shawarma all over the place, and I keep defaulting to thinking that Shawarma King is the best (for shawarma, at any rate), anywhere. I keep searching, and failing, to find shawarma this good in NY...and after 10 years of trying, I've given up. Shawarma King reigns supreme. One of their dishes that I absolutely love is the hummus with ground lamb. Ask for extra pine nut and onions. It's cheap, filling, and good. Their stuffed grape leaves are also really good. I don't miss much about living in Boston...but I miss Shawarma King.

The food is okay. Anyone saying it is the best shawarma they've ever eaten needs to eat shawarma more. Great prices; okay food. Good selection. Decently-sized portions. But there's no service at all: I ordered to stay in, but they gave it to me to go. Too much trouble to put it on a plate on a tray I guess. The guys behind the counter were more interested in talking to each other than in preparing or selling food.

I've been coming to SK since the early 90's (yes, I am old) when a BF of mine worked there. The place is as consistant as the day is long! GREAT falafel, awesome baba, great hummus, and the baklava is heavenly! Add cheap prices and open late and you've got a solid winner! I make the trek to SK from suburbia as often as I can, even though the BF is no longer! I love Shawarma King!

I walked around Coolidge Corner looking for something that wasn't an awkward $$ restaurant or a Dunkin Donuts and walked into this place and it was perfect for someone like me, just wanting something good and easy. I had the shawarma sandwich and it was perfect. Support this little Lebanese place...

Really 3 1/2 stars over all, but i have not tried the menu that much so this is one of those pending further review. Although, to be honest to get the 'as good as it gets' rating, this place needs to be open late. There, I said. Come on people, this is a city for pete's sake. there are all kinds of people walking around hungry late. this place would be awesome if they opened late. Even if they had a limited menu after hours. Just a thought. But very good food and superfriendly staff. Great location as well.

Best shawarmas in greater Boston and possibly the US. We go here just about every week. Chicken or lamb shawarmas, grape leaves (always perfectly done), hommus (also excellent) and rice pudding. There are lots of other things to get, but we love the shawarmas the best!

I'm not going to lie, I don't exactly love Shawarma King for a couple of reasons, but it's certainly okay. C'EST WHY! Shawarma King serves up perfectly serviceable Lebanese-style shawarma and hummus. Portions are on the smaller size, especially for roll-ups, but they ARE packed full of flavor. The hummus is very lemon-y, perhaps a little bit too much for me (sorry, Moody's wins there.) The meat is juicy and tender, the rolls sometimes a bit messy. The grape leaves are a nice size. I didn't love the falafel. It wasn't spiced nearly as well as others and was a bit dry to boot, though it was crispy on the outside. Place is cash-only, though, which is a bummer. They have a fakey ATM inside, the kind that charges an arm, a leg, a firstborn, and $3 fee to use. (Okay, why the ATM fee? There is no little man sitting inside that ATM that needs to be paid but rather, a gigantic, faceless corporation in an industrial park somewhere in Kentucky or perhaps Illinois. Why do I need to pay to access my damn money?! Whoo-rant-over.) In short. Shawarma King is worth a stop, but I think if you're seriously jonesing for shawarma and only the best will do, Falafel King "reigns." (Lame. If my current job falls through, I should write Herald headlines.)

Best baklava I have EVER had!!! They're homemade yogurt cheese is to die for. When they started writing my order in arabic, I knew I was in for a treat. The falafel is spicy and has just the right amount of *crisp* on the outside. The tabouleh is fresh and juicy. Great place to not spend a lot of money, roll your eyes in the back of your head with every delicious bite you take, and leave with your stomach and wallet both full. I'm a vegetarian and my options were plentiful! I like that.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to try the beef/lamb or chicken shawarma. So I ordered both to go. Watching them prep the food behind the counter, I could tell that the staff worked well together (I think it's a family run restaurant). I especially liked that the vertical rotisserie's were in clear view and I could see the attention to detail as they made the Shawarmas. They also put the rolled sandwich onto a press to give a nice toasty crunch. At home, I enjoyed half of each sandwich. The meat wasn't as crisp as I was expecting. I had to compare it with a Gyro. Off to esperia grill...

I order a Chicken Sharwma. The chicken was dry as a bone, and when I reached the bottom of the wrap all the juices etc had pooled at the bottom. How this was possible- is beyond me. Fool me once Shame on you, fool me twice.....I think not.

I went to Shwarma King a few weeks back for the first time. It had been recommended by my new roomate, and since I was in the mood for some Falafel and such I figured I'd make my way over to check it out.... Well, I'm glad I did, the food is good, and the menu is much more extensive than I expected and everything I ended up ordering was really quite good. My only qualm, its not really an "eat in" place. That is to say, you certainly can, but its great for picking up some food for you or for you and a group. In short, the food is really good, and the prices are reasonable. Don't plan to eat in unless you're just shooting for a quick bite. Alas, it's definitely not a date place (but you can pick up and go for a picnic).

I fancy myself a bit of a shawarma expert. After discovering I didn't particularly love the mushiness (for lack of a better term) of Moroccan cuisine when I lived there, I found myself seeking out the familiar comfort of shawarma and falafel whenever I had the opportunity. When a Lebanese restaurant opened up the street from where I lived, I rejoiced. In other words, I heart shawarma. So, imagine my surprise when I realized I'd never actually eaten it in Boston. Don't get me wrong - it's a familiar staple of my travels and something I actually attempt to sample in every country I venture to (like Chinese food, it's interesting to see local interpretations). Shawarma King succeeds on every level - from the crispness of the pita to the creaminess of the garlic sauce, and oh my goodness, their cinnamon rice pudding...Delish. The best of all, of course, is their rose water-infused fresh lemonade. Definitely recommended.

I love this place for it's delicious food and quick walk-in/walk-out service. Ever since my boyfriend introduced it to me, I crave their kabobs and lamb more times than I should. The kabobs, grape wraps, meat pies, pita with hummus, and all the other authentic dishes are just so warming and comforting. For the price you pay, it's just perfect for a quick, go-to meal.
(4)

I had a falafel and hummus sandwich. It was a bit too dry. They could have put more hummus and tahini on it. The staff is pretty good and on top of things which is why they get an A-OK.

the roll-up shawarma sandwiches are decent, but the wrap is grilled in such a way that it reminds me of the outside of a baked-buritto at a Tex-Mex chain and is a bit hard and crunchy. Also, the sauce inside makes for a messy meal once you bite into the sandwich, as the sauce tends to squirt out and leak around your hands. The meat is decent quality and the meal is affordable and tasty, but not the best shawarma I've had, and not the best in the area. Also, this place is not good for eat-in, as the atmosphere is more of a lunch-counter than a restaurant, so get your food to go when possible!

When I was little I lived in Saudi Arabia in a small expatriot community on the Red Sea. There was limited dining out options, but during Eid there was always a food festival, where you could get a shawarma for 3 riyals. My favorite part of this Shawarma was the garlic pickle that is staple in the Mid East fast food. Well, Shawarma King is one of the only places in the United States that I have found that serves these pickles. Salty deliciousness. And agreed with the other reviewers that think that this food is not like Israeli food because it is not supposed to be. While most people like the sandwiches, I am a big fan of the prepared hot dinners they serve. On Thursday nights they make an eggplant stuffed with ground lamb. Another fantastic thing is the baked chicken. It takes about 15 minutes to make, so I like to call ahead and pick it up.

Yum yum yum. I totally love Shawarma King. The small store front can be hard to miss but it's definitely worth the trip. Relatively inexpensive, good quality and great service. Everyone was super friendly. It's a small restaurant and not a waiter service place but it's great for a quick, casual bite. I had the lamb/beef shawarma roll up and my friend had the chicken roll up with baba ganoush. She loved hers and made a complete mess of it at the end (warning: leave the paper wrap on and leave the bottom twisted to keep all the juices IN the sandwich as opposed to all over the table!)...and I loved mine. The meat had great flavor, I loved the thinness of the pita without it being dry and the tahini was great. I just wish it had a little more to it. They're a little small so if you have a big stomach like I do, two might have been better. I don't know if I would have finished both of them but at least half of the second to fill me up. Overall, great little place for super tasty food at a good price. Try sitting outside on a sunny day for an extra treat :)

Fantastic service, excellent lamb and chicken schwarma roll ups. The falafel was crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside. It was very tasty. Excellent tahnini sauce, what more could you want? As a reminder: hungry customers might think about getting two roll ups as they aren't the biggest.

KID ARE YOU MENTAL? You haven't reviewed this yet?? First things first. I grew up eating Indian and Lebanese/Syrian food. I know what good hummus tastes like (no, it isn't Israeli, there was no Israel when hummus was invented), I know what a delectable tabouli tastes like, and God damnit I know what a correct shawarma is supposed to taste like. Considering your options (Rami's), this place has it all and they're super authentic. They have the oily Lebanese dude behind the counter taking your (CASH ONLY) orders. You can get the lamb, chicken, or beef shawarma. You can get delicious hummus with olive oil just chilling in the center of it, you can get the mouth watering/breath destroying tomb (garlic paste, dont know how to spell it in English). Check this place out. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars are the following: 1) Sitting space is super limited. 2) It's cash only and the ATM machine charges me dumb loot to take out cash. 3) It's not stoner friendly (there's a bunch of families that roll in and white people who want to seem cultured/love other cultures foods.) 4) There's no hot Lebanese women working there. Just oily hairy chested men, but if that's your thing.. there's plenty of "eye candy" I guess.

The four stars are for the Vegetarian Kibbe roll-up made with pumpkin and filled with nuts, raisins, and chickpeas. Fantastic. You have some choices for your Middle Eastern take-out food in Coolidge Corner, but Shawarma King has better service and is less expensive than both Rami's and Jerusalem Pita & Grill. I can't vouch for the quality of the food as I've only eaten Jerusalem Pita's falafel wrap (ok) and Rami's seems to not want to serve me, ever, since I have been left waiting at the counter more than once.

mmm...Delicious food! We got it delivered from mixmenu, and it was a bit cold when it showed up, but It was still delicious (and it was mixmenu's fault it was cold). So we will probably be less lazy and go pick it up next time. The fallafel was amazingly good. Crispy but not dry on the outside and buttery soft on the inside. I wish we'd gotten a large side. The shawarma was a bit dry, but fine if you mixed it into the rice and tomato salad. The pickles were a nice surprise and the cucumber ones were good, but the beet pickles were a little dry and chalky/earthy. Definitely worth a second look.

There is a meaning why this is three stars because I cannot judge. So stars are going to change based on my other experiences. I am actually not ready to write a review of this place because I almost don't have any experience of middle east food. Therefore my order was like this. Shawarma(S): "Next!" Hiroko(H): "Hi..........................................ahaaa uuuu ahahahaha" S: "........." H:"...............................................Â........I don't know what should I order....." S:"Oh is this your first time? Can you eat chicken? Chicken Shawarma is good." H:"OK I will try it." Chicken Shawarma was good and I am familiar with that taste because I had in Tokyo but the name was different. According to the pictures on menu, it seems like the other menu is more like chalenging especially for me that I am glad that he recommend me to order chicken shawrma. I am always excited about trying new restaurant. I will try the other menu.

A total dive but i feel like everyone has to try it. This place has been around for many many years and it has hardly changed its menu (if at all). I used to come when I was 8 years old and recently started coming again and everything is just as I remembered. The lamb and chicken shawarma are great and so are the grape leaf wraps and the hummus. Even the fries are good (random but good). I always try to pull out cash before going because up to a certain amount they only take cash I believe. There is an ATM in there but it'll charge you extra so better to go in prepared.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to say for those of you who want a bit of Middle Eastern food with an Arabian taste -this is the place to be..I have been coming here for the last 3 years and its about time, this place needs to be reckoned with. The food here (whatever you order) is fantastic ranging from vegetarian roll ups to massive dinner plates. The portion of the food is excellent that will definetely get your dosh worth... For those who are not big easters but still wanna try some snack, deffo go for Zaatar bread for a mere 3 bucks and far heathier than you think it is! The only downside is they don't offer any home deliveries and a bit out of my way :(

Are you kidding me, Best Shwerma in town. Ok you need falafel fix..mhh.mhhh..mm.So good. I am a hot sauce fan and guy responds it promptly and he knows exactly what I am talking about. They try to push their specials but just ignore it. I love their service staff..So fast..On time. So again this place does not have orchids on your table and Butler service but for $9 they will hook you up. Just walk right in and you will be welcomed with big smile.

My boyfriend is a big fan of shawarma and kebabs (I guess being from England you miss a few things) and really wanted some shawarma the other night. Not knowing where else to go, we went to Shawarma King. I read that the best thing to try, if new to Shawarma, was the chicken shawarma. The place is tiny, so not good for groups. The menu is extensive. I ordered the chicken shawarma and he got the kebab platter (I think). It took 20 minutes to get our food. I didn't think it took that long to cook already cooking chicken, but apparantly it does. However, the food erased all that disappointment because it was great! Perfectly cooked, and I really liked the pickles they added. We also shared one of those middle eastern sodas that were really sweet. While we both enjoyed our food, we were still hungry afterwards. Not wanting to wait another 20 for a roll-up, I headed to Qdoba for some chips. I say this is a great lunch place.

I love Mideastern food, and for me, this is as good as it gets. My wife and I have been eating here once every couple of months for years. I love the chicken Shawarma sandwich and the hummus. My wife gets the felafel. Seriously, one of my most favorite places to eat. The last time I was there I noticed they just started to accept credit cards.

When I was in college I ate Lebanese-style shawarma probably two or three times a week, and since then have not been able to find a good substitute, although there were a few places in Dearborn, MI, that were great. But not the same. When I moved here and found out there was a place called Shawarma King -- which was the name of the place I went to in college -- I was sure it was going to just make me homesick and not be good enough. It was definitely good enough. I'd write up my review of the lamb shawarma sandwich but it would basically say the same thing as Jen L's review below. Wonderful, messy, tahini-ful happy food. Oh man, now I want shawarma. I might have to head out there tomorrow afternoon. I'd say four stars because it's cash only, but it would probably be four stars without it, too, mostly because it makes me miss Kalamazoo so much. The cash thing does stop me from going there three times a week, though.

This place doesn't get the love that Rami's does, but it's quite good. As I wrote in my review for Rami's, Rami's wins for best pita, hands down. But Shawarma King is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper (like, two people can get a meal for under $20 as opposed to $30) and that wins Shawarma King some points. Their falafel is quite tasty. Fewer veggies included. Excellent hummus and baba ghanouj. Pretty comparable to Moody's in Cambridge.

In an odd turn of events while playing tour guide to a Finnish friend, we ended up at Shawarma King. I used to come here fairly often when I lived closer years ago. I had forgotten it was a lebanese and simply thought it was generic middle eastern. I was SO happy to find it was indeed Lebanese. It was like being transported back to my grandma's kitchen. The rice pilaf was IDENTICAL with the thin noodles that are prefriend. The kibbi looked exactly like what I had learned how to make (brown and tear drop shaped and stuffed with meat and raisins). So I ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich. It was DELICIOUS. The meat, since it is very lean, is indeed a little dry, but since there is hummus and tahini and veggies in the sandwich, it all combines into a delightfully drippy sandwich (by which I ended up with a tahini speckled fin) encased in some crisp, hot pita bread. I must comment at how this is some of the best tahini I have ever had. The tahini soaked bottom of the sandwich made for the best bite. The kibbi was tasty if a little hot at first and stuffed with some tasty ground meat. I cannot speak for the grape leaf rolls which was the entree my nordic friend ordered, but he seemed to like them only saying they needed could have used more acid. The prices are reasonable and a hearty sandwich, two kibbi, grape leaf rolls, and a drink all came out to about $20.

I am quite fond of the falafel that they serve here at Shawarma King, but there is one thing that keeps me coming back: their Fattoush salad. It's just a really light salad, much like a mild tomato, cucumber salad. Instead of red onion, you get a very mellow bite of scallions. There's mint and parsley in there with a tiny bit of lettuce. It has baked pita chips on top and very lightly dressed with some type of vinaigrette. My goodness is it good. It's a great light lunch and my girlfriend and I used to split a large after a night of drinking. I really like their falafel though sometimes, it's a little bit salty, but most of the time, it's a really awesome eat. They have yummy meats and lamb, but every time I go, I always get drawn away by their salad and their falafel roll up. Yum! I must say though, sometimes, their falafel isn't quite as crisp as I'd like it to be because I think they fry it beforehand and just heat it up to order, but it does the job.

3.5, not for lack of deliciousness but how ill I felt after eating here. I got the pumpkin kibbe and it was all sorts of fantastic. I really enjoy finding something that tastes completely new and different. It was both sweet and savory and a completely new flavor profile for me. I also got some sort of rose flavored dessert with pistachios. it was also fantastic. However, about 2-3 hours later I had a horrible stomach ache and felt terrible. perhaps it was unrelated but I am not quite ready to try again.

Pretender, usurper, clothes-less emperor - your regality is robed in fraudulence. You only prosper now because the Falafel King has not yet deigned to take notice your puppet principality on his western borders. When he stirs from his stronghold in Downtown Crossing, you will taste his wrath. And his wrath tastes wonderful, truly kingly - perfect texture, perfect portion, perfect price - unlike your sorry excuses for shawarma, of which you claim yourself lord and protector A tasteless undersized mess of dripping mush, any semblance of meat pulverized into unrecognizability, your offerings are not fit for the peasants who till your fields - perhaps not even their livestock. Your kingdom stands on a flimsy foundation, your "Highness", your reign, strictly on borrowed time, false prince. Abdicate now, while you still have your head.

Eh, decent generic Middle Eastern food (Lebanese flags, I wonder if there are any specific Lebanese dishes they could highlight?) close to work. Overpriced for the portions and unremarkable flavor. I'm not saying it's bad or a racket or anything, it's just nothing to rave about. Falafel Palace in Central square is a much better value and tastes a lot better in my opinion. Very limited seating, also.

This is by far the best shawarma I've ever had. Anywhere. Yes, yes, I've been to Falafel King, and I was eager to try their shawarma so I could fairly say, I liked Shawarma King better. And now I can. Falafel King's shawarma was, for lack of better words, not good. I find myself craving the beef-lamb combo wrap from Shawarma King on a regular basis. It's quite delicious, and the staff there is pretty friendly too. I will say, their falafel is a bit dry. I have not had any of the desserts, so I can't speak of them. I think in simple terms, when it comes to Shawarma King and Falafel King, stick to their names. They are king of what they claim to be, and dont' be otherwise fooled.

We ordered a bit on the late side, and despite that everything tasted fresh, delicious and perfectly crafted. We ordered the vegetarian combo plate, a side of hummus and Chicken Kebabs The baba ganouj that came with the vegetarian combo was delicious and the hummus was creamy, flavorful and tasted freshly made. The chicken portion was generous and we had lots of leftovers. We can't wait to go back!

The felafel is so much better than the one I had at the (other place around the corner). Moist + flavorful, real fresh ingredients. They also have daily home cooked specials, like oakra casserole~exotic and healthy. The lamb + chicken on the spit looked amazing! Friendly service---offered me a sample of the special drink made of raisin + rose juice. Delicious! Homemade baklava pasteries, too. To boot, the prices are much lower than the othe-R-(ami) place.

Just so good. We ordered the Beef Kafta sandwich with baba ghanouj and the Lamb Kibby sandwich with hummus and although the beef kafta was better, they were both phenomenal so we are talking best vs. fabulous to begin with. The kafta beef was tender and sweet in all the right ways that it should be and the baba was creamy and wonderful. The Kibby was a little looser than I had hoped when I first ordered but made for a perfect melding of flavors. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the neighborhood!

I love this place and can have it any day of the week. I tried their spicy beef roll up which was excellent. It was spicy enough to satisfy my palate. We also ha the chicken shawarma dinner which was good. I didn't mind the dry chicken, it went well with the rice and garlic, tahini sauce. The prices are a little high for this kind of place, but the food is great.

The shwarma and falafel here are actually not bad at all. Rami's around the corder and Falafel King in downtown do it much better. It does not rea lly matter though, becauseour experience with the Shwarma King service was horrible. We ordered a sandwich from this place, and requested not to put onions in it, because my girlfriend is allergic to them. Sure enough, there were onions in her sandwich. When we asked them to re-make the sandwich, they said it was impossible and that we should not come back again as they are loosing money by us coming there... That's "Customer Service" for Ya! ;)

In the Shawarma kingdom, this place is truly the king. i love their shawarma chicken plates which give you a lot of food. I generally have left overs which make my entire fridge smell of tasty tasty garlic (i can eat a jar of minced garlic by the spoonful). I have never had an issue with the service, every time i call ahead the food is ready when i get there. It is definitely a place i will go to often.

Four stars cause I hate restaurants with mirrored interiors. Seriously, the second-to-last thing I want to watch myself do is eat. But I feel totally dumb that my bf and I have walked past this place too many times to count in the last two years and only dropped by last Friday when I was starving and in a post-orthodontic funk and needed something fast, vegetarian, and easy on the teeth. And we only had $14 in cash between us. Got the veggie combo plate and the day was saved. Awesome falafel, hummous, salad, rice, tabbouli, pita, and a stuffed grape leave. A huge pile of very tasty food we split for $12 including drink. I don't even know what a shawarma is and I don't care. Lots of veggie options (unlike Pita Kabob) and fast. I will definitely go back before I leave town in August.

Not sure what the bad reviews are on the Shawarma sandwiches. The Chicken Shawarma is fantastic and a great deal. Falafels are pretty good too. Lots of other good looking stuff to try but I always go for a Shawarma sandwich.

The place is kinda crowded and the chicken roll up I got was bland. A friend of mine ordered the shawarma and was disappointed by the taste & portion. My other friend was satisfied with his salad (which was pretty big and cheap) but none of us were all that impressed. I was really disappointed, especially since there's signs hanging up in the place, boasting about its award-winning food. Shawarma King couldn't be more average. Coolidge Corner has much better places in the area, I regret not checking out Rami's instead.

Shwarma King is delicious! This is a no-frills restaurant. The food is fantastic. Their portions are generous. Large menu. Great place for both vegetarians and non vegetarians alike.

Honestly, I don't know why this place is rated so high... This is probably the worst shawarma I've ever had... Their meat doesn't even taste like meat, they throw everything into a thin, crappy pita with the skimpiest portions of meat, and it tastes... decent. But when I think Shawarma, I have high expectations... The restaurant its self is really dirty as well, and the service is poor... Not going to be returning, sorry!

Amazing beef-lamb shawarma with the perfect combination of meat, spices, pickled vegetables, and sauce. I also loved that the pita bread of the shawarma was nicely toasted. The lamb grape leaves were also another great choice served on top of cucumber pickles and onions. What really topped everything off was the baba ghanouj (a roasted eggplant & tahini dip). Pure creamy goodness. As for the drinks, a friend recommended the jallab (raisin special drink with rose water and almonds) and although it was okay I am not sure I would really go back for seconds. Another friend had the lemonade with rose water which I thought was very tasty. For dessert I had a baklava finger topped with rose water syrup. It really hit the spot. I certainly would not be shy about returning to Shawarma King but at the same I do feel that they are charging a lot for the little portions. Keep in mind that they have a $12 minimum to use a credit card, but they do have a sketchy ATM right in the front of the store.

This WAS one of my favorite Middle Eastern places in Boston a few years ago, but it's really gone downhill. My last shawarma was lukewarm, with runny, warm sauce, and the onions were old (extra-acidic), bland, soft and really just barely edible. The service is still friendly and reasonably prompt, but it's just not what it was.

Good food, friendly service. The pita I got was nice and heated with a bit of crunch. Unexpected, but good. Right on the Green!

This review is based on hummus alone. (I am not a fan of the spices in the shwarma, totally personal... I only hear good things from everyone else.) Moving on: that hummus is a-mazing! And if you get it with the lamb on top (in this case I don't mid the spices) it also has slivered almonds and olive oil on it. WOW. Here is a tip though, don't eat it with the pita they give you, go across the street and up to where Beacon meets Marion and in the Russian grocery (Bazaar i think?) they have this amazing flat bread that is just killer with it! Just don't plan on making out after eating this liquid garlic... it's pretty intense!

Lots of Shawarma choices in the area, and I think this is the best (close second is Boston Kabob). Besides the well-prepared food, place is efficiently run (kind of like the Soup Nazi, without the Nazi part.)
(5)
Jimmy W.
awful. was craving a good lamb kabob like i use to get at demo's in watertown, & didn't know anywhere in this area, so i gave it a try. it was terrible. it looked like the food had been left out all day & slopped into a container & even worse, the "lamb kabob" was hard, black, dry, & unseasoned. all that for $15... no thanks. i would not suggest ordering any meat in this place.

I don't just dole out 5-star reviews for just any place. These are reserved for the best of breed, and the SK is definitely the best Middle Eastern fast food joint in the Boston area (hell, I'll even say all of Eastern MA). Falafel, gyro, baba, fries, hell even the orange soda are all awesome. Dudes working there are all business but you know they are making your food the right way and hooking you up. Buy a t-shirt while you're there and enjoy the food of an ancient peoples. I'd move to Brookline just to be close to this place.

Shawarma King is great. I rarely eat meat anymore, but I can't pass up the chicken shawarma dinner plate if I'm in the area. For $11.99, you get a huge portion of rice, chicken shawarma, a serving of this vinegary tomato and cucumber salad, some tomatoes, pickles, and pita bread. Everything is great. Wraps for lunch are usually around half that price. The fallafel and hummus are good, but the portions are so big, you only need to pick one thing at a time.
(4)
Cate K.
Very good food, I would recommend having one of their specials (falafel or lamb shawarma sandwiches.) You HAVE to try their fresh mango or passion fruit juice. Pricey but SOOOO good. Bonus: this restaurant is Halal.
(4)
MaryTyler M.
Meh. Real talk -- this is where you go when Rami's is: 1)Closed 2)Too expensive 3)Mad at you I mean, they don't even give you a smile of hummus on your falafel plate. Nevertheless, falafel is pretty ok, and you just can't find pumpkin so casually offered on other menus.
(3)
paul s.
Tonight was my first time there... pretty great. I walked in and they had three specials up for grabs, but I decided to get a half-chicken dinner. The portion was huge. Seriously, there was a lot on my plate. For $10, it came with a good portion of rice, small cucumber salad, tahini, and a pickle salad. Friendly staff too; family owned. I suppose the sharawma is it's winning factor, but I havn't tried it. It's a bit too far from where I live to go to on a regular basis, but I'll make sure to stop here next time im in the area.

Shawarma King... packed with deliciousness. I usually go for a Chicken Shawarma sandwich. This is a choice you'll be glad you made. I'm an Anna's Taqueria fan, and even though they're a bit different, i usually find myself in the middle of Beacon Street turning to one, then the other, tapping my foot and going "aaahhhhwhhwhahaaaa". Agreed w/ other reviews that there isn't much room inside the place, but people seem to move along once they're through. It keeps just fine for the ride home too, if you're not staying long. Lately when I'm in the area I've been going to the king. You should too.

I'm going to try to write this review while totally ignoring that this was the last place I went out to eat with my ex before being unceremoniously dumped at Publick House last week. Here goes. So we went here after deciding that, while delicious, Fugakyu just didn't warrant a 40-minute wait (on a Wednesday, of all days). It's cramped in Shawarma King. Expect to get really up close and personal with other patrons if you plan on eating in. However, I discovered that a small sacrifice of personal space is totally worth it. Also, this isn't really the type of place where one lingers and admires the ambience, so customers typically aren't at their tables for long. I got the chicken shawarma with garlic, which also comes with rice, a delicious salad (not unlike the one that comes with entrees at Columbus Cafe), and pickles. Which was a little random for me, but hey, I never claimed to be an expert on Mediterranean/Lebanese food. Regardless, it was all delicious and filling. I can likely overlook the bad events that transpired afterwards to come here again and get some cheap, yummy takeout the next time I'm lurking around the 'Corner.

I've never been the biggest fan of Middle Eastern food (Maybe I haven't had it enough) but wow, Shawarma King does a great job. With about 6-8 specials every day plus the sandwich/wrap staples, there's a huge selection and variety of offerings. I've had the lamb/beef shawarma wrap-up, the kafta kabob wrap-up, and a lamb meatball and potato special plate. The wrap-ups are a little expensive in my opinion for the size, but the flavor is excellent and left me licking my fingers. On the other hand, the special plates are MASSIVE and I have trouble finishing them off! Definitely keep this place in mind when looking for a quick lunch/dinner. Their freshly made juices are pricey as some of the other reviewers pointed out, but they sure are tasty!

Pretty good! I have not been here in years. For some reason I had this recollection that it was not as good as Rami's. My husband and I got the roll-up sandwiches. The server recommended #1 or #2 and we got one of each. One with chicken and one with beef. They were both delicious. They both had a really great sauce that was mixed in with the meat.

So this was my first real experience with any kind of middle eastern food, and it was definitely positive!! I (being poor) got the Fattoush Salad and a Rosewater Lemonade, and both were fantastic!!! The salad was a perfect combination of cucumbers, scallions and mint, and the toasted pita chips soak up the dressing so well! As for the Rosewater Lemonade, never before have I had anything like it! It was fantastic!! The service was also very good, seating was okay and there was a (moving) line the whole time I was there. Next time I find myself wandering around that area, I will be stopping by again!!

I just recently moved to coolidge corner and have begun exploring all of the amazing food options in the area (my waist isn't a fan of myself, but my stomach is!) and recently had the pleasure of stumbling onto the shwarma king. In a word... awesome. While a bit pricier than other takeout options (read: chinese or thai or a sandwich joint) you get high quality, tastes like home made food that is delicious. For 12.99 (and bring cash - no credit cards!) you can get a very generous portion of chicken kabobs, salad, rice, bread, pickles and sauces. For 11.99 you can get a large serving of chicken shwarma, rice, pickles, bread, sauces and more. These meals can easily be spread over 2 days, if desired (I always attempt to, but the food is so delicious I can't stop!) I've been looking for a good chicken and rice joint. While the one in NYC triumphs them all, this is good choice. I'd recommend asking for extra yogurt source or even having some of your own - the chicken shwarma plate is so massive, the little bit of yogurt sauce you get will not even come close to covering the entire dish

My favorite falafal in the city! Get the falafal wrap with hummus and hot sauce and mmmmm. So good. I often plan my weekends around going to Shwarma King. :)

One of my favorite places in Boston! Beef-lamb shawarma sandwich is delicious and reasonably priced. The falafel, though a different approach in terms of taste and style (i.e. lebanese vs israeli falafel), compares to Rami's in terms of quality. If you like garlic A LOT, try the 'garlic spread' with pita.

I like Schwarma King, but I don't love it. In my estimation, if you're in the Coolidge Corner area you're much better off heading around the corner to Rami's for a schwarma. BUT.... Rami's is closed Friday night and Saturday (sabbath, oh how do I hate thee sometimes) -- so I have been known to wander over to the darkside when a sabbath-schwarma urge hits me. And hey -- it's good. It'll do. But Rami's is just... stellar. One thing that should be noted is that the King's schwarma IS in fact made of lamb, not like Rami's which is Turkey. However.... usually the lamb is relatively dry, unfortunately. To summarize: Schwarma King is good. And, there's no accounting for taste -- I'm sure there are some people that prefer this schwarma to Rami's. I'm just not one of 'em.

I say stick to the well beaten path when ordering here and you will be okay. I tried the lamb stew once after thinking it over many times and it was kind of gross, just greasy salty soup with frozen vegetables, not fresh, and a couple small pieces of lamb for $5, a small cup size too. I also had I think the soujouk sandwich which was nasty flavorless ground meat in pita bread. The falafel and schawarma are good if you are looking for a "right now " kind of place, but there is better to be had elsewhere I think.

So glad I found this place, saw the great reviews here on yelp and decided to try it out. Definitely didn't disappoint . Really good food and for a great price. I had the Beef-lamb shawarma roll up, and it was awesome. The fresh lemonade with rose water was pretty good too ! Will definitely be back to try the other items on their menu.

I've been to good old Shawarma King many times and I am never dissapointed. Much like Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing" is a musical orgasm, the beef-lamb combo shawarma with hummus is a foodgasm. Truly, the combination of the meat, pickles, onions, tahini and hummus are awesome. It's like a party in my mouth. But a good one, where no one throws up and the cops aren't called. I have had their falafel, which I was not so impressed with. Too dry. I still search for a falafel as good as New York. It's a busy place, the line moves fast, and the seating can get tight. But Good Lord man, who gives a crap? The shawarma transcends food.

great falafel, awesome tahini. Their chicken wraps are delicious! great quick food, and cheap!

Awesome place with good food! If you are looking for ambience, then this probably is not the right place for you. Food wise, this place rocks. The portions are great and prices are reasonable. I only wished they had more seating area as it tends to get a little crowded sometimes. I always get the Roll up sandwich with Baba Ghanoush and its off the hook! Absolutely delicious!! Love this place!

My mouth is watering just writing the review. I love, love love their food, especially the tabouli, the fattoush and the mouth-watering lamb. This place is terrific, fast and inexpensive. Be warned, it's cash only, but there's ATMs close by.

You need to know that I went to Shawarma King right after I got back from Israel, so I'm going to be biased. I was craving some Israeli lovin' and decided to try Shawarma King to get my fix. Really great menu, but it really missed the mark. The lamb was gamey, the pita dripping with too much oil and there was a lack of salads in there. I like my shawarma to be fresh and this just wasn't. The place is simple and not at all fancy (like you could seat yourself for a quick bite), which is fine and the guys working there are nice, but it just couldn't cut it for me. *sigh* I miss Tel Aviv street food...

Shawarma King is pretty freakin tasty! And the portions are pretty big, too. I can really only give insight into the veggie options here, but my bf loves this place's chicken shawarma roll-up. Okay so I usually get one of 3 things here. - the falafel and hommos roll-up - The sandwich is a good size (I can never finish it), the falafel isn't too dry, and they give you a generous portion of hommos (not like those places that charge you extra for something and you have a hard time tasting it in your food... what did I just pay an extra dollar for if you put such a small amount on that I can't even taste it? come on!) as well as pickles, lettuce, tadziki (how on earth do you spell that word?), and I'm sure something else I'm missing. The roll-up is in a pita that's not too thick and not paper-thin. The best part is that they throw it on a hot sandwich press so your pita is nice and crispy and it makes it that much more delicious. mmmmm... Option 2: - the vegetarian dinner plate -- that has falafel, rice pilaf, and shawarma king salad. It also comes with a couple of pitas and garnishes (pickles, lettuce, and the like). Woah be sure you're starving, or want to eat this for lunch the next day, as the dinner plates are HUGE. This is easily 2 meals for me. It's good because you will use your fork and knife so you won't have tadziki (yeah I'm spelling it phonetically... at least I know how to spell that word!) all of over your face like you might with the roll-up sandwich (or perhaps I'm just a messy eater). Option 3: - rock the sides. Get a side of falafel (3 pieces), side of rice pilaf (is so tasty -- very flavorful and not too greasy), and the shawarma king salad -- the salad is basically chopped up cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, green peppers, and a few other spices - perhaps mint or cilantro or something. Whatever it is, it's freakin fantastic!. For their dessert, try the bassma (I really need to get a dictionary, but when looking at their desserts I just point to the one that makes me drool the most so words aren't always necessary). It is your typical middle-eastern type of desert - made with pistachio goodness - turned into some small square of delight. They cover it with a sweet syrup as well and it is delicious! Shawarma king does have a few tables inside, but it can get pretty crowded, so be prepared to get your food to go if you aren't lucky enough to snag a table inside. They also are CASH ONLY, so plan ahead and skip their shady ATM inside that probably charges $12 to use it.

I love Shawarma King. I've had their roll-up sandwiches and also their dinner plates. Both are great. The shawarma meat is tasty and I like the way they press the sandwiches, sort of like a panini. It makes the sandwiches more manageable.
(4)
Kyle H.
I love Shawarma King for the shawarma -- their shawarma roll-ups are the best I have ever tasted, with lots of delicious tahini-garlic sauce and yummy pickles, plus they're grilled, for extra awesomeness. That said, I'm not crazy about the other stuff at Shawarma King. The falafel is pretty good, but Sami's in Longwood or Rami's (also in Coolidge Corner) do it better. And once or twice I have gotten one of their dinners with rice and salad and been really unimpressed. But those shawarma roll-ups! They are the food of the gods!
(4)
Emily G.
I agree alot with the reviewer below me. I'm not saying this place wasn't dece..but you probably won't find me there again. Their schwarma lacked something..... it was more like a pressed panini. I've been to the middle east and typically there schwarma is like street food - about 3 american dollar and soooo big you will not be able to finnish it unless you are ravenous (or have big tummy like me). I easily finnished this sandwhich and was actually still kind of hungry after. I got a lamb schwarma and some falaffel on the side. My meal plus my significant others with drinks came out to $25. Not worth it for this. I'd rather go else where. If you're in brookline - I bet you can find better schwarma.

Amanda S.
Ordered the chicken shawarma, and really liked it- everything was very fresh and the meat was so tender. I thought it was heavy on the pickles which kind of overpowered the other flavors, so next time I would ask them to go a bit lighter. The price is right- two shawarmas, drinks and baklava for under $20. I noticed that someone mentioned they only take cash - I paid with with a debit card, so it seems they changed their policy on that. In house seating is limited and cramped, so I would plan on taking it to go.

I had the shawarma at this place and can't say I was too impressed. The food is good, but the flavor is somewhat lacking. I always get feta cheese when I eat gyros, shawarma, or falafel. Unfortunately, this place didn't have feta, which is a huge bummer for a middle eastern restaurant. I did like the fact that they grilled the whole thing, and I liked seeing the meat roasting in the open rather than seeing something come out of the freezer. Overall, the place was a little better than average. I'll probably seek out alternatives before deciding if I want to go back to this place.

The name says it all: Shawarma King is "the King" of falafel. I have tried nearly every falafel wrap I can find in and around the Boston area. I can't find one that matches that of the King. Because of this, my boyfriend and I frequently journey into Brookline to pay homage. He would agree that the falafel wrap is number one because of the unique way it is served warm. It is nicely grilled and lightly pressed which helps keep everything together, and more importantly, makes the flavors pop. Mmmmm..... Both the falafel and the pita are the perfect portion size - not intimidating like some of the others I've found. The pita is crunchy and light which makes eating more pleasurable. We always leave feeling satisfied and talking about our next trip. For us, TGIF has a whole new meaning. We are permanent members of this kingdom.

I was excited about finally trying this place after going it past it for many years. The first time I had real shawarma was in Europe and since then I've been on the search for something similar. We tried the chicken shawarma, the beef-lamb shawarma and falafel. Out of the three the chicken was probably the best since the beef-lamb was on the dry side. I could have used more flavor but for the price it wasn't bad. The NYC halal carts are still better by far though. I would probably go back to try some of the other things but I'm going to have to continue my quest for satisfying shawarma.

i returned from israel craving shawarma like a madman. this was my first try in boston - and overall i liked it. fallafel is ok, but the beef/chicken shawarma was better. i especially liked the fresh squeezed lemonade. i prefer the reef cafe actually, a tiny hole in the wall lebanese place near harper's ferry in brighton - stronger taste because of reduced water content. but this place is still worth a visit.

i was recently deployed to kuwait and probably the ONLY thing i miss from over there are the shawarmas! i didn't even know WHAT a shawarma was prior to going there but by the time i left i was hooked. needless to say i was excited when i moved to brighton and discovered there was a place nearby called SHAWARMA KING!!! i have eaten from there a few times so i can't comment on EVERYTHING on the menu but everything i've had was delicious. i've gotten the chicken shawarma, the beef/lamb shawarma, the lamb stuffed grape leaves, and the chicken shawarma dinner plate, which is basically a "make it yourself" shawarma. all were delicious and tasted very much like what i had in kuwait. the shawarma dinner plate is HUUUUGE!! i just got it for the first time today and i ate maybe a third of it and i'm stuffed. i am a newbie to middle eastern food but as i am getting tired of other types of ethnic cuisine i am excited to return here to try some of the other mouth watering dishes they offer (not to mention try some of their baklava!!). its a mile walk from my apartment to shawarma king and it is worth the walk... not only because its a great place to eat but because i can start burning calories before i stuff my face lol!!

This is probably the best falafel, schwarma, grape leaves, etc, place you are going to find around Boston. Aceituna in Kendall Square holds a distant 2nd place. Both places are Lebanese style which I have a little bias towards. Big portions and cheap prices. The atmosphere is a little cramped. They have ourdoor seating on Beacon Street during the nice weather. It is right near Coolidge Corner so you can window shop to walk off that overstuffed belly from Schwarma King. :)

Go now! Eat a shawarma! You friends will hate the way you smell for a day or two but who cares. I eat these things so fast, they can't get soggy. The guys behind the counter are always super-nice and often funny.

Bella and Aleksey R.
This is a great place to stop by and grab some quick snacks. The shawarma wraps are my favorite, but if you get it without the garlic sauce it is not as good, so you have to just go for it. Prices are good for the amount of food you get.
(4)
Billy E.
The shawarma is some good stuff here and their pickles that they add on to the sandwich make the food. The lamb shawarma is really really good and I have to add this location to one of my favorites in Boston. I don't have many favorites but this one is good stuff. Definitely give this place a try if your in Brookline.

I've been going to this fab little place for well over 10 years now... I've tried most of their sandwiches, some of their entrees, and a few desserts. I've never been dissapointed. The go-to sandwich is the lamb shawarma. Hands down. Just a great, fresh, unique flavor. The pickle is the key! Putting the wrapped sandwich under that funky little panini-style griller thing at the end really gives the pita a nice slightly crunchy texture....And yes, the garlic tahini style sauce will leave you with that not-so-fresh breath without a doubt. I only get these sandwiches if I know I'm not going out right after! No smoochin'! But it is WORTH IT. There are so many things on this menu that it's hard to really comment on all, but the bottom line is everything is very fresh, well prepared, and the owners/cooks really do care about quality. It shows. Reasonably priced, quick service (the eat-in experience is not that inviting - best to get to go) People seem to rave about RAMI's quite abit, but I like the Shawarma King better. Hail to the King! A Brookline institution.

You can tell when you're nearly at Shawarma King because of the picnic table on the sidewalk outside. The food is always great - I especially like their lanni sandwich, which is like toasted slightly bitter cream cheese. Tonight I had lamb shawarma with baba ganoush - it was yummy. I was still a little hungry though.

Yes, yes. Great comfort food. The chicken shawarma wrap is the best I have had in Boston, the pickles inside are a nice touch. I hardly ever get it these days though because I am obsessed with the combo special. You get two dishes that change daily plus rice, pita bread and a salad. Every dish that I have had so far has been good. When you walk in stand in front of the row of covered dishes, this will cue the staff that you want to see what they have today. They are very nice about showing and describing each dish. If they have a lamb dish of any kind, get it, even if you think you don't like lamb. My all-time favorite is the ground lamb wrapped in eggplant, amazing! My only complaint is that there beef dishes, although tasty, can be a little tough and chewy so I usually avoid them. The salad is always fresh and made up of cucumber tomato and parsley in what seems like a light vinaigrette. It can get pretty busy but the line moves fast. The staff are usually a little stressed out but nice. If you use a credit card, they cross out the line for a tip before handing you the receipt to sign. This is nice for me as I always feel obligated even when ordering at the counter.

i have no compelling reason to go to brookline. while i can see why shawarma king is the king of shawarma (chicken shawarma - best i've ever had), it's still not quite enough to get me to trek so far south and west of me. (now if they offered me a free scratch ticket for every extra side of falafel i ordered, i'd be in it to win it). shawarma king definitely deserves 4 stars, but still... i have no compelling reason to go to brookline.

My favorite place for a falafel in Boston. Really cheap, good food-- the veggie options are plentiful and delicious, and there's a whole range of meat dishes that I never even tried. The raisin drink is a little cloying, but that's really the only bad thing I have to say about it.

I've had their beef shawarma and falafel sandwiches, and the Jallab beverage. Everything was fresh and tasted great. A Solid 4 stars.

I've had a lot of Middle Eastern food in Boston and Shawarma King is heads and shoulders above everything else. Their hummus must be laced with crack or something because it is to die for. I also love they the drizzle some nice olive oil on top. Their pickles and crunchy pickled turnips are delicious. And their chicken shawarma rollup sandwich is the best I've ever had. I especially love the whipped garlic they put on it. Some other things I've tried there have just been "OK" to "good" in my opinion. But their hummus, chicken shawarma, pickles and pickled turnips are the best I've ever had.

years ago i was lucky enough to be introduced to the deliciousness that is shawarma at none other than shawarma king. i love their chicken shawarma and that super yummy garlic sauce. i have yet to taste better anywhere else. admittedly, i am not a shawarma expert nor do i actively seek out better shawarma...but really, they've got good food and i'm sticking with 'em.

Very good falafel - one of the best I've had in the Brookline area. Staff is very friendly.

So the wife tells me that my mother and law and mother and aunt were going to get food lebanese food. I like leba what? Im an open minded person so I said why not and went with them to this place. It was small and crammed with so many people and I thought if they dont mind this must be good. I'd say roughly 20 people could fit comfortably. I got the BEEF- LAMB SHAWARMA and boy were they quick on that. I thought it would taste awkward or something since it was first time but MAN was it tastey! it had beef wit some saucewrapped up with slices of pickle that worked perfectly. It was so ood it wasnt until I finished it that I had the sauce dripping all over my pants and shirt but I didnt care I just wanted to finish it. I would like to try their falafels since I heard they were awsome as well. definitly opened to this place now. only thing is I wish they had a bigger place cuz it was so packed and never available. A guy asked if he could reserve a seat and the employee said its a first come first serve thing. So either good there early or take out but dont miss out!

Love this middle eastern fast food type of restaurant. I love their chicken shawarma, donar kabab...and their desserts are awesome. They also make fresh juice and there is a small daily specials section.. that is made everyday...or atleast it looks fresh enough. But above all, the staff are not only super nice but are super handsome too :)

The first time I went I had a Falafel sandwich, which was good. The second time I had something called fool moudammas, which was far too salty. The last time I was there I had something which I can't remember the name, but it was baked lentils and rice special. This was pretty good and there was so much that I had to take home more than half. Decent but a little expensive. New to Coolidge corner so I haven't had time to check other local shops.

This people are friendly, prompt, and make some of the best falafel in town. As an added bonus: they've got coconut water, which goes perfectly with falafel!

I used to go here all the time. I love this place and their amazing falafel and their even more amazing (pink) Lebanese pickles! I would love to have this place closer to me, no other falafel place I have tried so far compares. [my ex loved their shawarma but i don't eat meat so I can not rate it]

Shawarma king is like a trip back to the middle east for lunch. The food is authentic and good. You have to get the combo sandwich with either hummus or baba gannoush. There are also dinner plates but they are a little too big. I've never tried the hot specials, but that's mostly because I can't resist a good shawarma. The desserts are good but not great. Brewed cold drinks are good on hot days as is the sidewalk seating. They serve falafel too but I do not recommend it, it's kind of dry and not green in the middle, which is usually a bad sign. Overall, if you like some authentic shawarma in an atmosphere that feels like the real thing, you should check out shawarma king.

I had been to this place back in 04 when I was visiting Boston, and had really fond memories of their Shawarma. I tried it again tonight, and found the Shawarma to be delicious as before, but I tried the more traditional Arab food the likes of which you can't find at a lot of places here in the US. I had Molukhayya with Chicken which was absolutely wonderful except for the fact that it was a little thicker than what I'm used to. You could dip pita bread in it or have it on top of rice, either way it's marvelous Egyptian cuisine. They also have Bazilla with beef and Musaggah. People who enjoy Arab cuisine past the Shawarma and Falafel and Hummus are definitely going to love this place. For dessert, I had Kunafeh which was disappointing, the cheese layer was extremely thin and very hard. Other than that, I highly recommend it to everyone.

A certain love affair in the 90s brought me here weekly. I haven't returned as much as I'd like to, but dollars to doughnuts, this is the best value to flavour food in Brookline. I avoid onions in my shawarma cuz they are uncooked, but get the spicy stuff cuz it is actually spicy for "west-asian" food. The grape leaves, kibbeh, shawarma, lahmejoon and coca-colas are my faves.

The chicken shawarma is really good. Unfortunately I made the mistake of eating it once when I had bronchitis and woke up in the middle of the night barfing shawarma all over the bed. (***disclaimer: this is in no way meant to be a comment on the food which is very good) Thankfully I have put that incident behind me and have been able to go back to eating shawarma.

Small, hole-in-the-wall feel. The owners really care about the place and are proud of what they have to offer. It is a home-cooking middle eastern menu with lots of great options - so much so that I had a really hard time deciding on what to get. Everything is super fresh and really flavorful - they do a great job spicing things. I will admit that I think it's a bit overpriced/expensive for what you get - that, plus the fact that there is no bathroom, makes me not give it 5 stars. But otherwise I think it's great.

I've only had their chicken shawarma's and the lamb dinners. its a great place for a quick eat and its very casual. Very good for their prices and the service is fast.

Torn between the shawarma and the falafel roll-up (Best of Boston 1992, ohh yeahh), I had only one thing to consider.. This is the Shawarma King! I just HAD to get the chicken shawarma! I dunno.. Kinda disappointed being THE KING and all. Probably just my palate, but I wasn't loving the spices. If this is characteristic of all their other dishes, then it's good to know what to expect the next time. Their "Fresh Lemonade" was interesting, rather different, and the Baklava was delicious, though expensive. Place was busy, so it's def got a following.

Not too spacious, not super cheap, but good lamb kebab, excellent tahini sauce, and sizable portions.

This used to be my all time favorite shawarma location anywhere. Their sandwiches used to be very inexpensive, very tasty and their service is very quick. Their prices have shot up quite a bit over the last couple years so I don't fell you get the same bang for your buck that you used to and I don't find myself going there as often anymore. I'd still highly recommend it though, just make sure you go during peak hours if you want their shawarma otherwise you may end up with dried up chicken that's been rotating there all day.

Lala L.
Roll-up sandwiches here are really good. I especially like the #37 - beef and lamb ,with a choice of either baba ganoush or tabouli, and filled with vegetables. What I really like about their sandwiches versus others have I've had is that they grill it til it's crispy on the outside, so when I get home, it hasn't fallen apart yet. My friend tried the falafel and said it was dry. They also have special entrees every day of the week. You'll have to either call and ask or go check it out yourself.

A stop at Shawarma King for lunch or dinner is a must every time I find myself in Boston! Chicken Shawarma with spicy sauce! Falafel with extra tahini sauce! Fresh hummus and baba ghanoush. Home made desserts! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Been going there for 16 years!

I LOVE GARLIC and that gives Shwarma king 4 stars. Great wraps, plates and desserts. I always go with a chicken shwarma wrap and cocktail juice (homemade!). The falafel is better at Rami's but the chicken shwarma is mUCH better here. Oh don't forget the cucumber and mint yogurt...mmmhmm.

Awesome. Ever since I've been living in the boston area I had been looking to find the perfect shawarma place. Here it is. Brookline's shawarma king offers all your middle eastern favorites in an authentic Lebanese style. The roll up sandwiches are always neat, never sloppy. Their chicken and the beef/lamb shwarma always seem to be cooked to perfection, and their kafta kabobs are among the best I have ever had. One thing I love about this place is that they grill the entire sandwich in some sort of iron after it has been assembled. This not only seems to crispen the pita bread, but also locks in the flavor. I have brought friends from out of town who's taste in Middle Eastern food is highly refined, and they all agree its some of the best that they've had in this part of the world.

Good Lebanese food just up Beacon Street from Coolidge Corner. The falafel is tasty, as is the baklava. The decor leaves something to be desired, but it's not so important as Shawarma King is a very casual place to grab a bite to eat. The food reminds me of my favorite hole-in-the-wall falafel place in Paris (that's a compliment)!

I agree on Ana M on this one...don't eat here too often or you will get bored. Control and balance are the name of the game. Beef kibby is a good pick if you don't want Shawarma. Lot of good stuff here, but a lot of tastes the same. I wish they had a wider range of flavors, but then again I never have the specials,
(4)
Anonymous P.
Standard Middle Eastern fare, which means good for the value. I wish I could give 3.5 stars. There are better bets in the area though (I'd go with Rami's for instance).

the food is pretty terrible. i got the chicken shwarma with the hummus -- it came in a "pita" which was more like a grilled tortilla, the chicken was dry and bland, nothing like the tender juicy chicken i'd expect. there was some watery liquid (as opposed to savory juices) running through the wrap, which was stuffed to what looked like the bare minimum. just overall bad experience and i'd never ever go there again.

There is a reason they are called Shawarma King. Incredibly inexpensive and incredibly tasty. I love their falafel and shawarma. My friend from Russia thought their pastries were fantastic, just like his grandmother used to make- and that's good enough for me.
(4)
Mamoon H.
Good falafel and shawarma's. Definitely among the top in Boston. Take-out is tempting, but the shawarma usually gets soggy and makes a mess on your (at least) my clothes.

Oh, Shawarma King, we had an intense affair for almost three months, where I had you two to three times a week, and you were damn good. Then I got bored with you and moved on. The end.

This was another place that I immediately heard raves about from more than one person. I will say the falafel is average but the shawarma is above average. The service is excellent and food is definitely fresh. I haven't tried shawarma elsewhere so can't give a comparison to other local eateries. I would actually give it 3 1/2 stars.
(3)
Ellen L.
first off, how can you not like standard middle eastern fare? (which is exactly what this place serves) this place has been around for ages and never fails to deliver! kind of a whole in the wall type of a place and is located just outside of what i'd consider coolidge corner.

Better lebanese food here than I've found anywhere else in Boston...I can't say it's the best compared to food I've had in Lebanon itself, which is amazing - but this is good stuff for brookline. It's pretty cheap. I usually always get the shawarma chicken wrap. Yum....friends and family from Lebanon really like it, too - so that's a decent endorsement. the guys there are really nice, very laid back - always very cool. I went in there a couple of weeks ago looking for kibbeh and they were nice, helping me pick out the correct number (a lot of choices on the menu, different variations of the same type of things). the kibbeh was pretty good, too - I took it home and had it a day or 2 later and it was great. The fattoush salad is good, but there is some place in brighton (can't remember the name) which is better. I'd be in big trouble if I lived in Coolidge Corner, 'cause I'd be eating here a lot - I don't get bored of arabic food ever though.

I loved this place. Their falafel is absolutely amazing, and the portions were big. It was a little bit more expensive than I might have liked, but it still falls into the cheap range. I just wish it were a little cheaper so that I could justify coming here more often, I guess! It was crowded when I went, but we still got a table. They do have take out so if it's too crowded, its not a big deal to order the food to go. I also absolutely loved the decor, which was mostly travel posters for Lebanon-- beautiful. I also liked how they had their menus listed in Arabic and English--although I don't read or speak Arabic, the fact that everyone working there did made me feel like the place was probably pretty authentic. I also found this restaurant a welcome surprise in the heavily Israeli-Jewish section of Brookline. It's good to know that politics doesn't pervade every aspect of life, and you can still get awesome falafel and halal food after you visit a kosher grocery store or deli.

Very yummy food. I've been coming here for over a decade. I always get their combo kabob plate and am never disappointed. If you don't mind sitting on plastic chairs in a small place, then I recommend coming here. Because it is so popular, it can sometimes be hard to find seating.

(3)Charity A.
(5)Walter G.
(4)Jill F.
(4)Susie S.
Coming from Dubai, I can tell you that their food was not authentic Arabic cuisine at all. The hummus was admittedly good, but the beef and chicken shawarmas were disappointments. The kunafa was TERRIBLE :/
(1)Nicole A.
(3)Alisa K.
(3)Sharon S.
(1)Ed Y.
(1)Doris T.
(4)Riz M.
awsome food....highly recommended. We ordered Chicken and beef shawarmas, lamb and beef kabob, and few other dishes. We are going there tonight as well. MUST go place if you are in boston area
(5)Jenn S.
(5)Tugce K.
(5)Joe J.
(3)Mark M.
(4)James F.
(3)Amie M.
(5)Joseph P.
(5)Romulo R.
(4)Sarah F.
Best shawarmas in greater Boston and possibly the US. We go here just about every week. Chicken or lamb shawarmas, grape leaves (always perfectly done), hommus (also excellent) and rice pudding. There are lots of other things to get, but we love the shawarmas the best!
(5)Bobby L.
Great food. For a second I thought I was in Lebanon, and then I saw a Panera Bread down the street.
(4)Josie K.
a bit pricey for the low-caliber atmosphere, but it is good.Lebanese owned and operated, they are fast. Get the rose water drink jaleb:)
(4)Dara C.
(3)Natalie B.
(4)Peter W.
(3)M A.
I order a Chicken Sharwma. The chicken was dry as a bone, and when I reached the bottom of the wrap all the juices etc had pooled at the bottom. How this was possible- is beyond me. Fool me once Shame on you, fool me twice.....I think not.
(1)Kappster Z.
Chicken was a little dry but everything else was excellent. Service was friendly too. Casual atmosphere
(4)Barrett F.
(3)Jillian Y.

(4)Monique S.
I had a falafel and hummus sandwich. It was a bit too dry. They could have put more hummus and tahini on it. The staff is pretty good and on top of things which is why they get an A-OK.
(3)Heather G.
the roll-up shawarma sandwiches are decent, but the wrap is grilled in such a way that it reminds me of the outside of a baked-buritto at a Tex-Mex chain and is a bit hard and crunchy.

(4)Jarrod C.

(4)Brooke S.
(4)Ken M.
mmm...Delicious food!
(4)Hiroko S.
(3)Lili M.
(4)m m.
Absolutely awful. And we've tried to twice just to make sure as we have friends that swear by the place.
(1)Alok C.
The only downside is they don't offer any home deliveries and a bit out of my way :(
(4)irfan m.
(5)Katrina M.
I crave Shawarma King on a regular basis. I especially love the dinner platters, because of all the sides that they come with. A great deal for a great dinner!
(4)Milee S.
(4)Heather S.
I have dreams about Shwarma King. Dammit, now I want Shwarma King. Who knew putting a pickle down the middle of a gyro could result in such an other-wordly experience? True story, folks. Its that good.
(5)J G.
(5)Brian W.
Great simple tons of Lebanese food. No frills. The best with no BS.
(4)Dena M.
(4)Tip B.
nice family atmosphere. Very generous portions, very good quality, consistently excellent.
(5)Eve L.
(4)Jen L.

First stop in here today. Beef & lamb shawarma sandwich was excellent. Definitely heading back again soon. All hail the king!
(5)Julie T.
(4)Jackie S.

(1)Michael K.
(2)Yogitha P.
(5)Nika T.
(4)Emily G.
(5)Kathryn M.
(5)Dave Y.
(4)Steven E.
That's "Customer Service" for Ya! ;)
(1)alex M.
(5)Kendra G.
(4)Clyde L.
Not sure what the bad reviews are on the Shawarma sandwiches. The Chicken Shawarma is fantastic and a great deal. Falafels are pretty good too. Lots of other good looking stuff to try but I always go for a Shawarma sandwich.
(5)Rachel S.
(3)bettina c.
Shwarma King is delicious! This is a no-frills restaurant. The food is fantastic. Their portions are generous. Large menu. Great place for both vegetarians and non vegetarians alike.
(5)Shea D.
(2)Doris K.
(4)Christian R.
(2)Annette A.
Good food, friendly service. The pita I got was nice and heated with a bit of crunch. Unexpected, but good. Right on the Green!
(2)D S.
(5)Jimmy B.
Lots of Shawarma choices in the area, and I think this is the best (close second is Boston Kabob). Besides the well-prepared food, place is efficiently run (kind of like the Soup Nazi, without the Nazi part.)
(5)Jimmy W.
awful. was craving a good lamb kabob like i use to get at demo's in watertown, & didn't know anywhere in this area, so i gave it a try. it was terrible. it looked like the food had been left out all day & slopped into a container & even worse, the "lamb kabob" was hard, black, dry, & unseasoned. all that for $15... no thanks. i would not suggest ordering any meat in this place.
(1)Jim K.
(5)nick k.
(4)Cate K.
Very good food, I would recommend having one of their specials (falafel or lamb shawarma sandwiches.) You HAVE to try their fresh mango or passion fruit juice. Pricey but SOOOO good. Bonus: this restaurant is Halal.
(4)MaryTyler M.
(3)paul s.
(5)Elisha C.
Took the advice of the yelpers, and their overall rating of 4. Agreed! Shawarma King is overall 3.5-4 quality.
(4)Madhumitha N.
They have more variety of vegetarian food. They have good and cheap food, all together is a perfect place when you want to relax during weekday. TIPS: very close to T station.
(3)James L.
(5)Sarah R.
(4)Aboud Y.
Good, consistent shawarma and falafel at this old trusty standby.
(3)Sidanshu G.
Perhaps the best Falafel wrap I have eaten so far....The Chicken Shawarma also is very good. This is a good take-out place.
(4)David L.
(4)Oleana B.
(5)Kristy W.
(4)Ben C.

(5)Joe B.
(4)Mark C.

(2)Erica E.
A hole in the wall but awesome food. Fried Kibbies are to die for. The baked ones arent that good.
(4)Mel D.
(5)Twain S.
Every time we move, we move a little farther away. So we don't eat there as much as we would like. It is always great when we do.
(5)Graham C.
(5)Nicholas C.
great falafel, awesome tahini. Their chicken wraps are delicious! great quick food, and cheap!
(5)P G.
(4)Anna F.
My mouth is watering just writing the review. I love, love love their food, especially the tabouli, the fattoush and the mouth-watering lamb. This place is terrific, fast and inexpensive. Be warned, it's cash only, but there's ATMs close by.
(5)sunny n.
Excellent Shawarmas in a casual Lebanese Cafe setting... very affordable, plenty of choice in healthy eating...
(5)Arestia R.
(2)Melissa A.
(4)Daniel D.
I love Shawarma King. I've had their roll-up sandwiches and also their dinner plates. Both are great. The shawarma meat is tasty and I like the way they press the sandwiches, sort of like a panini. It makes the sandwiches more manageable.
(4)Kyle H.
(4)Emily G.
(2)Amanda S.
(4)Texas Yeti s.
(3)Ben K.
I've gone twice, bought the T-shirt, and probably gained several pounds.
(5)Sarah W.
(5)Sham Y.
(3)Dave R.
i returned from israel craving shawarma like a madman. this was my first try in boston - and overall i liked it. fallafel is ok, but the beef/chicken shawarma was better. i especially liked the fresh squeezed lemonade. i prefer the reef cafe actually, a tiny hole in the wall lebanese place near harper's ferry in brighton - stronger taste because of reduced water content. but this place is still worth a visit.
(4)Danielle K.
i was recently deployed to kuwait and probably the ONLY thing i miss from over there are the shawarmas! i didn't even know WHAT a shawarma was prior to going there but by the time i left i was hooked. needless to say i was excited when i moved to brighton and discovered there was a place nearby called SHAWARMA KING!!! i have eaten from there a few times so i can't comment on EVERYTHING on the menu but everything i've had was delicious. i've gotten the chicken shawarma, the beef/lamb shawarma, the lamb stuffed grape leaves, and the chicken shawarma dinner plate, which is basically a "make it yourself" shawarma. all were delicious and tasted very much like what i had in kuwait. the shawarma dinner plate is HUUUUGE!! i just got it for the first time today and i ate maybe a third of it and i'm stuffed. i am a newbie to middle eastern food but as i am getting tired of other types of ethnic cuisine i am excited to return here to try some of the other mouth watering dishes they offer (not to mention try some of their baklava!!). its a mile walk from my apartment to shawarma king and it is worth the walk... not only because its a great place to eat but because i can start burning calories before i stuff my face lol!!
(4)Michael K.
(5)Brian W.
Go now! Eat a shawarma! You friends will hate the way you smell for a day or two but who cares. I eat these things so fast, they can't get soggy. The guys behind the counter are always super-nice and often funny.
(5)Bella and Aleksey R.
This is a great place to stop by and grab some quick snacks. The shawarma wraps are my favorite, but if you get it without the garlic sauce it is not as good, so you have to just go for it. Prices are good for the amount of food you get.
(4)Billy E.
The shawarma is some good stuff here and their pickles that they add on to the sandwich make the food. The lamb shawarma is really really good and I have to add this location to one of my favorites in Boston. I don't have many favorites but this one is good stuff. Definitely give this place a try if your in Brookline.
(4)Ken C.
(5)Cosmo X.
Its always excellent... authentic, delicious and easier than going to Lebanon!!!
(4)Anna M.
(4)John F.
The food is fresh and very good. Always a joy when I can get take out here. One of my favorite take out places.
(4)Kneekey T.
(5)Mags L.
i have no compelling reason to go to brookline. while i can see why shawarma king is the king of shawarma (chicken shawarma - best i've ever had), it's still not quite enough to get me to trek so far south and west of me. (now if they offered me a free scratch ticket for every extra side of falafel i ordered, i'd be in it to win it). shawarma king definitely deserves 4 stars, but still... i have no compelling reason to go to brookline.
(4)Anna H.
My favorite place for a falafel in Boston. Really cheap, good food-- the veggie options are plentiful and delicious, and there's a whole range of meat dishes that I never even tried. The raisin drink is a little cloying, but that's really the only bad thing I have to say about it.
(4)TDK T.
I've had their beef shawarma and falafel sandwiches, and the Jallab beverage. Everything was fresh and tasted great. A Solid 4 stars.
(4)Leah K.
(5)Sue K.
years ago i was lucky enough to be introduced to the deliciousness that is shawarma at none other than shawarma king. i love their chicken shawarma and that super yummy garlic sauce. i have yet to taste better anywhere else. admittedly, i am not a shawarma expert nor do i actively seek out better shawarma...but really, they've got good food and i'm sticking with 'em.
(5)Kyle D.
Very good falafel - one of the best I've had in the Brookline area. Staff is very friendly.
(4)Angel R.
(4)Nausheen M.
(4)Laura L.
(4)Christian H.
This people are friendly, prompt, and make some of the best falafel in town. As an added bonus: they've got coconut water, which goes perfectly with falafel!
(5)J B.
I used to go here all the time. I love this place and their amazing falafel and their even more amazing (pink) Lebanese pickles! I would love to have this place closer to me, no other falafel place I have tried so far compares. [my ex loved their shawarma but i don't eat meat so I can not rate it]
(5)Avidan A.
(5)Khalid S.
(4)Jeffrey L.
(5)Scott O.
(3)Justine D.
(4)wsl l.
I've only had their chicken shawarma's and the lamb dinners. its a great place for a quick eat and its very casual. Very good for their prices and the service is fast.
(4)Courtney E.
(3)Steve L.
Not too spacious, not super cheap, but good lamb kebab, excellent tahini sauce, and sizable portions.
(4)R A.
(4)Lala L.
(3)Sunny M.
(5)Sam S.
(4)Giuliano P.
(5)Micaela L.
(3)Jordan K.
I agree on Ana M on this one...don't eat here too often or you will get bored. Control and balance are the name of the game. Beef kibby is a good pick if you don't want Shawarma. Lot of good stuff here, but a lot of tastes the same. I wish they had a wider range of flavors, but then again I never have the specials,
(4)Anonymous P.
Standard Middle Eastern fare, which means good for the value. I wish I could give 3.5 stars. There are better bets in the area though (I'd go with Rami's for instance).
(3)el e.
the food is pretty terrible. i got the chicken shwarma with the hummus -- it came in a "pita" which was more like a grilled tortilla, the chicken was dry and bland, nothing like the tender juicy chicken i'd expect. there was some watery liquid (as opposed to savory juices) running through the wrap, which was stuffed to what looked like the bare minimum. just overall bad experience and i'd never ever go there again.
(2)ara n.
awesome shawarmas - great place
(5)Heather H.
There is a reason they are called Shawarma King. Incredibly inexpensive and incredibly tasty. I love their falafel and shawarma. My friend from Russia thought their pastries were fantastic, just like his grandmother used to make- and that's good enough for me.
(4)Mamoon H.
Good falafel and shawarma's. Definitely among the top in Boston. Take-out is tempting, but the shawarma usually gets soggy and makes a mess on your (at least) my clothes.
(4)Ana M.
Oh, Shawarma King, we had an intense affair for almost three months, where I had you two to three times a week, and you were damn good. Then I got bored with you and moved on. The end.
(4)M D.
(3)Ellen L.
first off, how can you not like standard middle eastern fare? (which is exactly what this place serves) this place has been around for ages and never fails to deliver! kind of a whole in the wall type of a place and is located just outside of what i'd consider coolidge corner.
(4)vanessa s.
this was my first shawarma experince ever!!delicious! wouldn't go any where else.Ive also had their beef/lamb and chicken dinner plates! cucumber and tomato salad is a must try! also their pickles are very tasty..kibi balls are to die for! try it with their special hot sauce!
