This place actually surprised the hell out of me. Kind of a hole in the wall, very dark interior, bar up by the front... but then they take you around the corner to some very cozy booths in the back. The service was honestly quite slow for what we ordered (a burger and fries and a steak sandwich -- took freaking forever) but the food was delicious, especially their baked fries.

They have a great deep dish Shrimp Pizza idk know about the rest but that was delicious

This is my favorite place in Brockton! The food is so good! Their pizza is the best I've ever had. It's seasoned, the sauce is good, and the cheese is perfect. The crusts are small and thin, so they absorb a lot of that sauce and cheese grease. So GOOD! The Greek salad is great, too. Perfect amount of veggies and the dressing is amazing. There's a full bar, a bunch of TVs, and great service. I don't think I'll ever stop visiting this place.

Nothing like a fresh pizza, greek salad & pitcher of beer at Cape Cod. Friendly staff & cozy atmosphere make this perfect place to celebrate an ocassion or grab a quick bite. Simply said you can't go wrong with Cape Cod Cafe!

Being a South Shore native for many years, this place was recommended to my parents many years ago when my uncle moved to Brockton before we moved to the South Shore. When I got my first job in Brockton, someone mentioned this place as a winner and a great place to get pizza. So off I went to get the first "bar pizza" I ever had. Let me say that there are few, if any, other places in the state of Massachusetts better that I could have had for my first bar pie, than the Cape Cod Café. The pizza truly was out of this world. Everything from the cheese, to the secret sauce recipe, that is reportedly so secret that even the workers in the kitchen don't know what's in it. Everything was a winner. I've gone here many times, and my uncle and his wife practically lived in there. The service was great, and the wait staff treats you like they have known you forever. Attention to every detail and did everything to make sure that the experience was a worthwhile one. As one person may have touched on, the only one drawback with this business is of course, the location. If you are not familiar with the South Shore, this place is in a neighborhood resembling a demilitarized zone. Not a good local at all. But that doesn't deter from the fact that this is one of, if not the best, of the bar room pies in the South Shore. In a City of Champions, Cape Cod Café is truly another name to add to the list.

The best bar pizza around. Cheap beers. Salads are huge. There's almost always a wait. Ask to sit in the bar area or back dining room. Don't sit in the room near the take-out door. It's a dark and depressing place to eat. But back to the pizza. Yes it's as good as people say. Better than Town-Spa, and Lynwood. Sketchy area, but you wouldn't know when you're inside.

Our first time here and we loved it!!! warm and welcoming! Food is phenominal! !! I wish they had rooms in the back to take a nap before we leave!! Karen our waitress was super awesome! I wish we could have taken her with us.. she was friendly, professional and very hospitable! We will definately be coming back again. And they have free refills!!!

Classic Brockton. Truly the best place to get a bar style pizza hands down. Ive been having this pizza for 40 years and it hasnt changed much in all that time. Forget the Lynnwood and Spa. The Cod has the best pizza. Belly up to the bar with a cold one. I recommend the roasted red pepper with sausage or the roni!

  • Michele A.

I am faithful to the Lynnwood Cafe but people around say this is better..tried it Saturday July 5th..absolutely great atmosphere. .service to perfection. .ons of the best coconut martini too...BUT..Pizza to pizza I would have to go back k to the Lynnwood. ..sorry..it is a bigger pizza true but salty tasting and the crust and sauce did not have the taste I so enjoy...i am in no way saying it was not good..it's just not the specific taste I so look forward too..i travel 100 miles for the Lynnwood. .can't say I would want to try again..just a personal preference. .

Got a buffalo pizza and cheese pizza one day from here and I loved it!! The pizza is a decent size for a personal but for more than 3 people, no. A but pricey for that size of a pizza however, the fact that it was so delicious I didn't complain much. Would I go there again, I sure would!!

  • Krystle L.

I order my favorite salad here every single Friday night and the takeout girls know me as soon as I walk in the door. I too, also love the greek salad with grilled chicken and broccoli on it. I always ask for extra of their homemade croutons. Cape Cod is known for their famous greek salads. Overall, it's a top choice. If you choose to dine-in, be sure to bring a sweater since it always seems chilly in there. Additionally, Cape Cod also has a website you can google to view their entire menu. The spinach pita is incredible and so filling! Check it out. Basically, I would die if this place ever closed.

I grew up in Brockton and had this pizza a lot. I was recently passing through town and stopped by. It was just as good as I remember. Absolutely fantastic!!!!! Soooo cheesy, greasy and the crust is amazing. I couldn't leave without ordering a couple for take out. Such a staple from my childhood....I totally missed it and am soooo happy that I stopped by. YUMMY!!!!!

  • Mara K.

So far, this is the best pizza in the south shore. When we moved to Brockton from Somerville, I was bummed to give up a lot of the places we'd go to for dinner. Cape Cod is fantastic. The pizzas are wonderful. The only thing that can bum me out about their pizzas is that sometimes the toppings make for a top-heavy slice, as in gravity does not want the toppings to stay on. I've learned to keep my pizzas pared down to one or two toppings. The pepperoni is my favorite. I like going into the actual restaurant because they have Woodchuck Cider on tap. Their non-pizza menu items are also pretty tasty and satisfying, like the nachos and the chili. That's good chili. We'll get sandwiches on occasion, too. Still, you go for the pizza. Ask for them to burn it. The charred crust is sweet, not bitter.

Nothing like "The Cod" anywhere near Brockton. The pizza is amazing. I could barely lift a slice of meat lovers. They dont skimp here. Ive used CCC for catering as well and they never disappointed. A must if you live in Brockton or just passing through.

  • Brian M.

Really great pizza. Different from Boston or NYC style pies. Very much of the south shore. Try it and you'll really like it!

  • Mary C.

I love Town Spa and Lynwood so everyone kept telling me to try Cape Cod. I wasn't disappointed! I ordered it to go so can't comment on the atmosphere of the place. However, the pizza was delicious! It's pub/bar style pizza (small) with lots of grease, cheese and the crust was amazing. I'm definitely going to be a regular now.

    (5)
  • Jennifer T.

A classic bar style pizza that I can't get now that I have moved from the area. Definitely a must have on any trip back to Brockton.

  • Julie C.

Best pizza in the world. Can you please move to Cape Cod?! I make it a point to grab a pizza as often as I get a chance when I'm in Brockton. They also have the best Greek salads. I miss the Mac & cheese pizza, it was to die for!!

  • Brent L.

The food is great, but the service leaves a little to be desired. They are usually slow, and almost always mess up an order or two. If you go, be patient because the food is worth the aggravation

  • Cathy S.

I just don't know what it is about Cape Cod's pizza, but it is fantastic! I always get the green peppers and onions pizza but recently tried a pizza with roasted red peppers and it's just as amazing! Their calzones are also pretty good and come packed to the max with meat and veggies. I've eaten in and ordered out from here, but their tap selection (of beers) makes eating in a favorite for dinner time. I have also heard you can order their pizzas frozen. While I have not tried this yet, it is particularly intriguing because you can't get this kind of pizza out here on the West Coast!

My favorite pizza around brockton. Great bar style pizza with a interesting assortment of pizzas you probably can't find anyplace else. My favorite is the chili pizza.

pizza was ok, but then again i think pizza is either ok or awesome. bar style pizza i still would stick with lynnwood in randolph. but u have to get it "LACED" when u order the pizza, it makes a difference.

Best chicken, broccoli and bacon salad ever..love the homemade croutons. Have been here too many times to count...always same great salad. Not much atmosphere, but good food. Pizza is great also. Would recommend.

OK Let me say Yes This is a good place as far as the Food goes, It is also a nice clean Place as well, But the Buck stops there. I am alone so I sit at the Bar However if you want good bar service it depends what night you go! One Female Bartender with dark Hair is the Best! If you are getting low on you're drink She is right there to fill you up! There is also a Guy on Saturday Nights named Dennis (I think) who is also a Great bartender! However that's it! UPDATE 7/9/15 I always thought the food here was very good especially the pizza the best around at one time, they have expanded with two other places and since then I feel the pizza has gone downhill I have heard this from others as well you can get a better pizza at the home cafe on North Main Street Brockton and of course the Lynnwood and Randolph don't get me wrong I'm not knocking this place the food is excellent but it is just gone downhill a bit in my opinion

Best pizza on the South Shore...hands down! The place definitely has an "old school" feel to it. A little divey, waitresses in black slacks and white button down blouses, big bar...if smoking was still allowed in Massachusetts the kind of place you'd expect to be filled with smoke (thank God it's no longer allowed!). Pizzas are the famous South Shore bar pie style, and they do it best. Hot crisp crust...browned on the edges, topped with delicious, greasy goodness. The pepperoni are huge and cover much of the pizza (they'll also chop the pepperoni on request). The bacon pizza is layerd with hot crispy slices on top of that oh-so-good cheese and sauce. Just perfection. Greek salad, albeit not as good as that Greek salad king on the other side of town, is still very good with a generous amount of fets, Waitresses have always been very friendly any time I've gone, and are good about pacing the pizza after your salad. And free rolls and butter...great touch! Can't go wrong with the CCC. Food Quality: A Service (Friendliness/Speed): A Cleanliness: B Environment: B Menu Options: A Value: B

Really great bar pizza. I recommend the Brockton location, the other locations aren't as good as the original. This is a place you go for pizza and a beer. I love either buffalo chicken or chopped hamburg pepperoni and onion pizza. I love the buffalo chicken because it isn't breaded it's grilled chicken which I wish more places would do! Only four stars because they've raised prices to what I consider a bit pricey for a bar pizza, but it's worth it.

  • Justin M.

This is my pizza place. In Brockton there are two places for GREAT pizza and this is my #1!! Basic cheese pizza is sooo greasy, and the crust is so crunchy and the cheese is so gooey. The bar has a great feel and its a very friendly neighborhood bar. Prices are low and the Greek salads are amazing. If you wanna cheat on a diet a little bit I would suggest the TEX MEX PIZZA!!! Double dough and loaded with all the the Mexican good stuff. I LOVE the hamburg pizza and it always goes down with a tall cold Killians Irish Red!! A MUST GO AND YOU WONT REGRET IT!!

If you're looking for a night out with the family the Cape Cod Cafe is a great place! They don't fry anything so everything is grilled or cooked in a pizza oven. The pizza is top notch but is full of sodium. If you eat here drink plenty of water. That is the only reason why it didn't get 5 stars.

    (4)
  • Bradley H.

Hands down best pizza on this side of the Mississippi! I only wish I had a place like this where I live. Good prices too. Got the meatball pizza this time and was amazing. Will definitely come back the next time I am in town!

Went for lunch after hearing about the Raynham store. We had a white pizza with linguica, black olive, onion and pepperoncini. Pizza was oily and loaded with cheese; in other words, damn tasty. The Greek salad was some iceberg with tomato, cucumber, celery and feta. Standard fare, but it was serviceable. I would opt for a 3.5 rather than a 4, but I would rather err on the side of higher than lower score. I'd go back, or at the very least take a run down rte 138 to the Raynham store since I live closer to that store.

Decided to go and find our way To try what we saw on Phantom Gourmet If you've never been there before I have to tell you, you can't find the door The "Chili Sundae" was oh, so yummy! And went a long way to fill a tummy. Daughter was soon scraping the dish And I knew that more was her wish. The pizza was great 'til the very last piece, It was crispy with just the right hint of grease. My daughter and I both did agree We enjoyed our waitress who was named Kerry And the next time we will surely request Her again, cuz she' s the best!

My family has been eating Cape Cod Cafe since they opened! Pizza is bar style, and delicious. There are so many toppings, and cooking options. I love all of them lol, but my favorites are pinapple, spinage fetta no sauce, and garlic, and of course burnt edge (if the right person does it...if not you end up with no crust). The pizza is truely excellent. Although they arent very consistent with take out...sometimes the pizza is super soggy, and just not great, and other times its the cape cod I remember eating as a kid, but either way you wont be disappointed. The salad are also yummy, I recommend the parmesan peppercorn dressing. Enjoy! and OH, if your worried about the area there is police detail on at least Friday and Saturday nights.

A bit pricy for pizza, but other then that they serve great pizza, pasta. Just watch out for your gold jewelry, every time I come here I'm missing a gold earring, necklace, bracelet or ring, SMH.

I am sitting here STUNNED for two reasons. Yes STUNNED! First of all, people have been reviewing this place since 2007 and nobody has mentioned the most amazing thing they offer at Cape Cod Cafe. The second reason I am stunned is that nobody's thought of it before. I mean the chef here is absolutely brilliant!! My hat is off to him or her. What the hell am I going on about you wonder? Two words: Pastrami Burger. Yes, you heard me right. Cape Cod Cafe tops a burger with grilled black pastrami, red onions, spicy mustard, and swiss cheese. The only thing they forgot was the pickles (easily rectified). We only ended up here because our plan to go to Hungry Coyote was foiled when they closed early. I must sincerely thank them for that. If they had not, I would never have experienced the amazing creation that is the Pastrami burger and just the thought of that makes me sad. Once I noticed it on the menu and mentioned it to my dining companions, they were intrigued too. So the three of us split one because once I decided I had to try it they knew they just had to try it as well. The chef was awesome and cut it into three pieces for us. Lemme tell you, this thing is a party in your mouth. Seriously! Your tastebuds will be gettin' down. Oh yeah and the waitress rocked because she actually brought me an iced tea spoon to stir my iced tea. That may sound like a small thing but seriously, order an iced tea and see if they even bring you a spoon at all. The bar pizza was very good as well. I don't want to downplay the goodness of it while I go on and on about the pastrami burger. I was told I didn't get the full bar pizza experience because we got the buffalo chicken pizza but I think I get the gist. Next time I promise to try a more standard offering to get the real deal. Suzie didn't lie about the salad. The large is truly LARGE. Three of us split it and had a hard time getting through the whole thing. The feta is good and strong and salty just as it should be. The salad comes pre-dressed and was thankfully not drowned in dressing, a plus in my book. So bottom line if you go to Cape Cod Cafe, absolutely get the bar pizza, it's why you went there in the first place. But save room and split the pastrami burger with your dining companion. You will not be sorry. OK well you will be sorry that you split it, but that will be your only regret.

Went here based on previous reviews. Decided to eat in on the restaurant side. Service was very quick and very polite. Got a small cheese pizza. Pizza was above average but not the best I've had in the area. Overall was a good experience.

My wife and I watch Phantom Gourmet all the time and this place pops up in reruns constantly. I've always thought the pizza looked amazing, especially the crust and we finally got a chance to try it this past weekend. The Brockton location isn't in the best neighborhood but that is no reason not to go, plus they have off street parking if you choose. First thing bout the food, if you want a really crispy crust you must ask for it as no place on the menu does mentions this. I was going over Yelp reviews AFTER we ordered and the waitress said it was too late. We sat at a table in the bar area, our server was efficient but not friendly at all. Her coworker who apparently just got off work was far friendlier ( I think the shots she was doing at the bar helped!). If you like cheese then you will love this place, try the white pizza. It has no red sauce and four cheeses, but either be prepared to feel bad about yourself later or do some serious exercise! Very rich and oily! We also got a Pepperoni, the pepperonis themselves are larger than normal but a bit too salty for my taste. I recommend a nice chilly pitcher of Harps to wash all this goodness down! One final bit of advice, if you get pizza as takeout DO NOT leave it on the plates they put it on to take home too long, unless having a thin layer of cardboard with your pizza sounds tasty.

Not from this town, but the pizza is THE BOMB! It's greasy, cheesy, the crust has cheese crusting over it, and it may look small but TRUST ME. It's way more filling than it appears. They have different styles of toppings that you can go, in a typical pizza kinda way, but if you stick to the cheese you are in a very good place. Greek Salad: Perfect! It's very hard to mess up a salad, but it happens. Not here. The salad is always on point, and the dressing is plentiful and tasty. I've even brought this pizza back to LA with me so that my sister can try it!

  • Suzie L.

The salads are huge. I had the chicken, broccoli and bacon salad served with feta cheese. I was a little hesitant to order at first, didn't know if I would like the combination. Well, let me tell you, it worked. I could not finish it and I had help eating it. The salad was 8.95. The Greek salad comes in 2 sizes, I believe the large was 6.45. The feta cheese is a good brand because it tasted good. The large is enough for 2 people. The bar style pizza is just how bar pizza should be. They serve 10 inch pizza, starting at 9.95. Well worth it. I enjoyed the pizza. They serve alcohol and have draft beer. It's cozy inside with tables and booths. Or you can sit at the bar. The service was fast and good. No complaints there. I liked the atmosphere and will be going back for bar pizza and beer the next time.

Bar-style pizza? Yes please. When people think bar-style pizza in MA, their thoughts usually go to Town Spa Pizza, Lynwood Cafe, and Cape Cod Cafe. Having tried two of the three, I decided to hit up the third in order to complete the bar-style pizza triangle. Me and my two buddies got here early in the evening, or so we thought (around 5:45 PM). When we walked in, the place was half packed, so we got our orders in pretty quickly: two linguica's and one Meat Eater pizza. And then we proceeded to wait. Our waitress would stop by every now and then and offer words of encouragement about how our pizza was cooking, almost done, etc. Around 40 minutes later, our pizzas get served up. The linguica's are both what you'd expect for bar-style pizza, thin crust, greasy, cheesy, and topped with lots of crumbled linguica. Realistically, my first thought was wow, this pizza looks pretty darn similar to Town Spa's pizza. After eating it (and having a cold slice later), the differences really set it. The sauce is on the sweeter side at Cape Cod Cafe and the linguica is crumbled into various sized pieces. Personally I don't like my sauces to sweet, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. I like the oddly sized pieces of meat since it means different textural differences and ensures I get a solid portion of meat with every bite. The Meat Eater on the other hand was a monstrosity the size of a small animal. Instead of bar-style pizza, it's more akin to Chicago deep dish-style pizza, with layers of meat upon more layers of meat with cheese somewhere in the mix; it was definitely a fork and knife kind of pizza. There is so much meat, it's overwhelming. Arrive hungry and you'll be happy. As the last leg of the journey on my search for bar-style pizza comes to an end, I've come to the conclusion that all three pizza joints serve up different styles of pizza that are ALL DELICIOUS and depending on how you like your pizza (crust, sauce, toppings, etc.), you might favor one spot over the other. For me though, I'd always be more than happy if anyone wants to grab a bite at any of the three joints.

My wife and I visited for the first time on Saturday. Came early afternoon. Was able to find a spot in the parking lot next to the place. It was busy. We waited for a table for about 15 minutes. Was seated in a good size booth. Plenty of room. We ordered a small greek salad and one pie(plain, just cheese). The food is great!! We split the salad. We thought it was plenty for both of us---great dressing. Also munched down on complimentary bread and butter. Pizza was excellent. Just what we wanted. Small salad, cheese pizza and two sodas for under $20! Friendly staff too. We will be back very soon. My wife cant stop talking about it. Overall, we had nothing negative to say about the visit. Good food, low prices and friendly service.

The individual sized pizzas are great, the servers are very "real" people, and the food is inexpensive. The decor could use some updating, but perhaps this is part of the appeal of this little hole in the wall.

Classic greasy bar pizza with all the New England fav toppings like linguica, chourice and the hard to find loconico (Greek sausage). In a crummy area downtown (well, all Brockton downtown is crummy so no worse, no better) but is an oasis of dark, old timey barrooom that will take you back to the 70's childhood: Dad sipping his Schaefer, mom with a glass of Mateus and blue cloud of smoke everywhere mingled with the smell of pizza. Ahhhh, memories!

  • James G.

Went here because we were nearby. And must say was mediocre. We ordered 2 bar pizzas a salad and a stuffed quahog. The salad was huge and decent and best part of the dinner. The pizzas were drenched in oil and flavor was ok considering its a "famous pizza". Now sad thing was truly the stuffed quahog.( This by itself shows a lack of respect for food and reason not going back) For 4.25 you. Got a clam shell filled with bread very little if any clam and nuked hot and rubbery hard making it pretty much very bad and non eatable. Server and cleanliness was good giving the 2 stars. (And that is generous)

I was sadly disapponted after all the hype from Phantom Gourmet and fellow Yelpers :( The pizza was tiny (thought it was only $7 bucks) and SO greasy that it required a handful of Tums later on. All we got was a cheese pizza, but all the cheese fell off when we tried to pick up slices. If this is the best pizza on the South Shore, I feel bad for the South Shore. The Greek Salad is awwwwesome though, loved their homemade dressing. (But as my guest said, "how hard is it to make a salad"?) The service was great also, our waitress was very friendly and made sure everything was ok with us several times (not in an annoying way). Free bread and butter is always a plus in my book too. If your stomach CAN handle the greasy pizza, this is a cheap meal. Between two people we shared a cheese pizza and a HUGE Greek salad for $14 bucks (including one soda). Sadly, I don't feel like I need to come back. I feel like I went to the wrong place or something, I usually tend to agree with my fellow Yelpers!

I have been going to Cape Cod Cafe for over 40 years. I have eaten pizza from all over the country. This is the BEST bar pizza in the country PERIOD. They also make a really great greek salad (about 3 times the size of the Christos version). I have never eaten any other food here because I cannot resist the pizza. Service is great and everyone is real down to earth.

Went here three times and never got a pizza that I went crazy for (unlike everyone else reviewing). Its just always bleh tasting , not really bad but not "UNBELIEVABLE" either. The service , atmosphere , and beer selection is great. That's it. Got the "Bacon , Broccoli , Chicken salad" that everyone says is "sooo good". Its good , right until you get left with 2 lbs. of lettuce on your plate. The pizza sucks , sorry. Its way too greasy , way too cheesy , and the crust isn't that amazing , its ok....not amazing. What I can't believe is people that travel from so far for this pizza when you could go to Venus in Whitman for 1000 X better bar pizza that DOESNT charge you per topping like CCC. My favorite pizza place is Denlys in Weymouth. If you want one of the best pizzas you've ever had in your life go there. Not here.

The drinks were excellent! Pizza was OK. I had the meat lovers and I didn't care for the deep dish style. But, the pizza was loaded with meat. My guest had the bacon cheese burger pizza, which she loved and requested that I take her back later that night to get another bacon cheese burger pizza to go. I got a small Greek salad which was huge so we shared. The salad was nothing special just huge. The prices were reasonable as were the food portions. My waitress was not friendly and seemed annoyed (at what, I don't know). Overall, I wouldn't totally count this place out.

I came here once with a friend and his dad after spending half the day in Battleship Cove. I wasn't necessarily hunger-stricken, but I needed a little something in my stomach. The delicious bar-style pizza deserves a spot on my Top 5 Favorite Pizzas list! It just left me wanting more. From what I remember, the service itself was great! As much as I would love to come back here, I live nowhere near Brockton, hence the notable implausibility. Next time I'm in the area, however, I'll know exactly where to stop for grub!

great pizza and service! we got the meat lovers pizza (not sure if that's the name) but there was a ton of ham, pepperoni and really cheesy. beers were priced well, and the service was really good. the place is a little dingy looking, but i'll take the great pizza!

Great pizza and Greek salad. Small Greek salad was more than enough for 2 persons. Very clean. Friendly and welcoming wait staff. Shout out to our server Bobbie. She was a stand out!

Been going here for years but now it is so inconsistent. Sometimes the Greek salad is like it used to be but other times the dressing is just like oil. Sometimes the lettuce is just cut in cubes and the tomato quartered then some olives and cheese dumped on top. The pizza has also become inconsistent. They used to use more fresh veggie toppings on the pizza now everything seems canned. More often than not now the pizza is very soggy. So much that I've had to send it back to be cooked more. Now I order it well done and it is sometimes still soggy.

I've been eating pizza from here for years, but only stepped inside for the first time last week. It is completely different from what I expected. Unlike the other Cape Cod Cafe locations, the Brockton location has full waitress service. Its not at all dingy like you would expect from looking at the outside. Its pretty big on the inside, with roomy booths and a full bar with televisions. I just got a simple cheese pizza, which was great (and way better than the pizza at the other locations). My friend goes there more often that I did and told me pretty much all of the pizzas were delicious. Along with her pizza, she got a Greek salad (the small size was huge!), which she loved. I'm not a feta cheese person, but she said their feta is delicious. They also give you bread and butter, which was a nice surprise.

Found this place by accident using yelp for local eateries, while we waited for some vehicle work done. Inside looks just like most Irish pubs. Just a bit fancier. The service was great. The food was amazing. I had "The meat eaters" pizza. The kids had the "Buffalo chicken" pizza. And, my girlfriend had the "Broccoli, chicken and bacon" salad. Everything was great. The pizzas servings, even though they were 10" in size, they were well loaded and we needed our knives and forks to eat. The crusts were nothing to toss aside either. It's actually unfair to compare their pizzas to Chicago style pizzerias, because their flavor is unique to them. This place will be my perfect excuse to drive from Boston down to Brockton. If you stop by, say hi to Sue. I'm only giving them 4 stars because it was our first time there and had to wait quite a bit for the food. Than again greatness takes time.

I had never even heard of pub or bar pizza until friends hauled me off to the Lynwood Cafe, followed by the Town Spa, and finally, the Cape Cod Cafe. Of the three, "The Cod" is easily my favorite: friendly bartenders and waitstaff, delectable and huge Greek salads (I'd try the small), and very tasty pub-style pizza. I'm not sure if they still have the potato pizza, but it's worth a try if that sounds appealing to you. Bonus points: Real townie atmosphere and off-street parking, to boot.

Whomever doesn't think they have one of the best bar-top pizzas of all time doesn't know pizza! Go there if you haven't and the rest of us willcontinue raving :)

Great pizza. They have other locations in the area, but the Main Street, Brockton location (the original location) seems to have the best tasting pizza. Maybe it is year after year of grease and grime in the oven built up. Whatever it is, it works! My cousin lives in Florida and had about 6 dozen of their pizza's trucked down for his wedding. Now that is dedication to a pizza place.

Great place! The pizza is the best anywhere! The large Greek is enough for 4 people. Its a great place where you can eat, have a couple beers and not spend a fortune.

People in the greater Brockton area have been debating who has the best pizza for years. Is it the Cod, the Venus in Whitman, or the Lynwood in Holbrook? Being a Whitman guy, I lean towards the Venus, but from what I hear it is the same recipe! The Cod does have better 'ronis though. The Cod is cleaner and brighter than it's cousin in Whitman, but overall its a close second in my humble pizza eating opinion. It's hard to argue with the folks who give The Cod five stars, but I just can't do it out of civic pride. Rumor has it The Cape Cod Cafe is haunted. Some say you can hear a baby crying when there are no babies in the restaurant!

Pizza and beer (or Woodchuck cider). What could be better? I mean really? I have always loved their pizza. Greasy? Perhaps. But maybe that's what makes it soooo delicious. Live a little. It will only take several hours off your life. Unless your genes are bad and your cholesterol count is naturally high, get over here and order a pepperoni, mushroom and feta pizza. You won't regret it. This style of pizza is simply non-existent on the West coast. I have missed it so. Their Greek salads are also huge crunchy goodness, and yes, swimming in delicious dressing. The crowd is very Brockton, but they know their pizza.

The orginal and by far the best of the 3 Cape Cod restaurants! This is Brockton at its very best! The pizza here is amazing, and according to my wife, so are their salads. We're always happy after leaving the Cod. We not only go for the food, but for the atmosphere, too. Like I said, its Brockton at its very best. I've never ordered anything other than the pizza, but my wife has had their chili before and said that it is really good. Remember to ask for your pizza well done with crispy edges!

Best pizza in the universe. Every time I fly back from Texas this is the first place I aim to go. Always go "extra crispy". I may need to have people ship me some Cape Cod pizzas to get me through the year. Large greek salad to share with 4 adults, 4 pizzas and some good, cheap beers. The best.

Love, love, love their pizza crust. I like straight up cheese for this awesome pizza. This is the closest thing you will get to a "Greek style" pizza. Yes, there is such a thing! They use corn meal and olive oil IN the crust....that's what I believe makes the difference. I grew up spending summers in Athens, as well as the islands, and this is the closest that I have ever tasted to Greek pizza....brings me back to my childhood. Go figure, the owners are Greek! Now do you understand? The Greek salad is very good too, have to admit. One thing that Americans need to understand, though, is that Greek salad DOES NOT HAVE lettuce in it! It's pretty much toms (seeded), cucumbers, green bell peppers, red onions, and Greek oregano. Kalamata olives and large chunks (not crumbled) feta are always served with it. Just olive oil and salt, and good crusty bread to dip into the oil. Yes!

The Short of It: Legendary Pizza place in Brockton, good, but never up to the hype. Ill never understand the fervor of the Burnt Crust acolytes, but all in all a good place to get a pie.

Cape Cod Cafe has been setting the bar high for barroom pizza for many years, if you haven't had a garlic and meat sauce pizza from here... you're missing out, add in a stuffed quohog and greek salad and it's pure heaven.

I just don't get what the big whoop is about this pizza. Tasted ok, if a bit too greasy and everyone raves about the "lace" on the pizza- the burned cheese? Meh.

When it comes to the best pizza in the area, you cannot, repeat, Cannot render Cape Cod absent. I have been a loyal customer for years, and after trying somewhere around 10 different varieties at the Cape Cod, all are very pleasing. With pepperonis the size of my fist, each pie is loaded with delectable toppings, and not to mention the crispy crust...Forget Brooklyn thin crust, or Chicago deep dish. Those guys clearly have not had New England bar style. Pizza the way it ought to be made. Enjoy.

This is one of my favorite pizza places. This pizza is delicious and crunchy, but mind you, i can EASILY eat an entire pizza on my own. If you're looking to get food for more than yourself, definitely get two pizza's or get one of the awesome greek salads with it. The garlic pizza is incredible, if you enjoy garlic. It isn't that garlic powder junk, they've got chunks of real garlic on there. So. Good. I am seriously considering going there right now after talking about it.
