Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Best Italian take out in Boston! Everything is delicious and the service is great!

I cannot express how happy I am that my love for Fiorella's in Newton has been transplanted a block away from where I live. I was worried that it would be different and I would grow to resent Fiorella's Express for not living up to it's mama restaurant but I was pleasantly releived. I am proud yet a little embarassed to say that I was their first customer but it is nice when I come in and they acknoledge and remember me, that right there, on top of the amazing food, is why I reccommend this place to everyone I know. When I went in the first time I told them we'd be doing a birthday lunch at work the day after, and the day after I went to pick up the order and included were 2 orders of breadsticks, a shrimp fettucini and some sort of roasted chicken sub with red sauce all for free in addition to what we actually ordered for lunch. I'm sorry but that is just plain classy. My only gripe with this place... the breadsticks just aren't the same, still good but just not as amazing as the Fiorella's in Newton...

I just wanted to update this review. After I posted my last review, the owner, Remon contacted me and expressed his concern for my not so great experience with the food. He then sent me a $20 gift card in the mail which I promptly used. While the food wasn't any better and still tasted microwaved, I very much appreciate the gesture.

Without a doubt, Fiorella's Express is the best delivery in the area. We have never ordered anything that hasn't been excellent (and we have ordered several different items on the menu). Highlights include their bolognese sauce (I would put it on par with fine restaurants' versions), the meatballs, the fra diavolo and the spincotta and prosciutto pizza. If you're feeling virtuous, the Mediterranean veggie wrap (available in whole wheat, if you're so inclined) is top-notch and actually quite tasty. All of the staff we have run across have been friendly and efficient, from the people who take phone orders to the people behind the counter to the delivery drivers. If you live in Oak Square, do yourself a favor and check it out.

This review is based strictly on the pizza and in actuality to be fair it should probably be 2.5 stars. But in this case I'm rounding down. So here's my beef: it's too damn expensive for what it is. The pizza itself is good. Crust, sauce, cheese are all okay. But friends this is Boston and how far does one have to go for good pizza? The answer: not very. I made my own pizza with meat balls, extra cheese and onions. The total price of the pizza was $18. Those extra toppings set me back 7 bucks. Except for the extra cheese, they were stingy on the meat balls and the onions. There were barely any meat balls on the pizza and that was 3 of the 7 dollars. If you're gonna charge that much, the pizza better be worth it and frankly it's not.

Very solid, affordable Italian dishes right in Oak Square. The chicken parms are probably the best in Brighton and the other pasta/calzones never disappoint. Delivery is fast (just need to make $10 minimum purchase) or you can just walk over to Oak Square and get it yourself. Definitely would recommend this as a great option, need to check out their pizza before reviewing.

This place would make really fat if I let it. Because I love it so much, I have to treat myself once in a while, otherwise it would become a few nights a week habit. It's one of those take-out joints that everybody dreams about finding when they first move into a neighborhood. I'm not new to the neighborhood, but I feel like this is my go-to place now. The food is delicious. What I usually get is the chicken and broccoli pasta. It's to-die-for delectable. The pasta is perfectly cooked, the broccoli is slightly firm. There are big chunks of chicken, white chicken, not dark meat or fatty pieces! They don't skimp on chicken like some places do. I've gotten veal parmigiana there before, too. The veal was pretty damn good for a take-out place. I've had the Margherita pizza a couple times and last night, I made my own: carmelized onions and sausage. Mamma Mia! It was yummeh! Also, when you call, the women who answer the phone are friendly and they don't just hang up as soon as you're finished ordering like a lot of places. "And I'll take a pepperoni pizza with a salad." *dead silence on the other end* as you're left holding the phone. The women who take the orders are really nice. This is how you run a business. I'm so happy to have found such a great little restaurant in my neighborhood.
(5)Mia E.
First visit takeout, his was eggplant Parmesan, it was tiny teeny 5 thin slices of eggplant, ( thank goodness for him, we had leftover steak from last night) I had the lasagna, the entire bottom layer was burnt & bitter, the sauce reminiscent of canned puree with little flavour, much too tangy. . The salad was decent however they used too much vinegar, but the honey walnuts were excellent. Not likely to be going back.
(2)Maya T.
I've been wanting to check this place out for a long time, since it was on Phantom Gourmet. Great food! I'll definitely be back. I got the eggplant parm sandwich and the roll itself was fresh and delicious!
(5)Andrew H.
Large menu full of something you'll probably enjoy. Delivery is consistent, but can sometimes exceed the "predicted delivery time", but this is most likely because the complexity of dishes and the delivery person's route, so I wouldn't knock off a star here. Bottom line is, they deliver wonderful food that would take a long time to make a la carte in person, so I recommend.
(4)Vanessa T.
this place is amazing. not only do they have the best Italian food around, the staff is friendly and they give free delivery around the neighborhood. even if they didn't they are well worth the delivery charge! Pizza, sandwiches, gnocchi, salads are amazing. they by far have the best meatballs and sauce in Boston!
(4)Jason U.
I'm so happy this place opened up down the street. Inspired Italian fare from a business that seems to want to please you! I get more 'thank you's' from this staff than anywhere else in the city. If it's your 'free meal' day (meaning you eat what you want, regardless of guilt level haha) try the Pepperoni Fra Diavlo.
(4)Michael S.
The food is good and the delivery is fast. The fresh pizza is significantly better than the reheated slices. Their Caesar Wraps are one of my favorites.
(4)Diane D.
DEAR FIORELLAS - Thank you for buying out sub-par Ray's and bringing your delectable menu to Oak Square residents! Having lived in Newton prior to my Brighton life, I could not believe my eyes when I finally saw the sign go up on the outside of the building. HUZZAH!!! I thought. You cannot go wrong here. The pizzas are interesting and tasty. My sub bun is never burnt on the edges when I ask for "toasted" and for those of us occasionally too lazy or busy to even cook pasta - just yum! And the prices are very reasonable. Plus delivery to the area? It doesn't get too much better for a local place. I will be keeping you in business, my dear friends! Apparently along with Nick M. and some others! All my love, Diane
(4)Patricia O.
Found this place the other day and I was so happy I did. I had the chicken parm and my sis had ziti and meatballs. The staff was great and the food was beyond great. They brought everything to our table and it was a perfect meal. 5 stars from me. We have already been there 3 times in a week or so.
(5)Michelle C.
This is one of the best things to happen to Oak Sq. in years. The food is delicious and the dedicated staff is amazing. I was a huge fan of the restaurant in Newton and was beyond excited when they announced they were coming to Brighton. It is perfect for takeout and there is casual seating at this location. Perfect for lunch and dinner. I have yet to have anything on the menu that has not been as delicous as I expected. Favorites: Potato Gnocchi, Chicken Rossini, Steak Milano, Meatball Calzone and California Wrap
(5)Oisin K.
The food I ordered from Fiorellas Express was the worst takeout food I have gotten in six months. I had a chicken caesar wrap, which was entirely awful, and the soggiest cheese fries you could ever imagine -- some may even say they tasted like feet. Although I was starved with the hunger, I had to throw out 82% of this terrible food. I will never ever order from this place again.
(1)Bobby L.
I've been living in Brighton for 2 years now and this is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in the area. The food is really fresh and the portions are more than enough. Had to change my review from a 4 to a 5 star as I have never been disappointed. They deliver!!!!
(5)Ben G.
I have been back and back and back again. I cant get enough of this place. Last time I ordered a meatball sub. Quality bread, good sauce and these meatballs are way better than my moms and she throws down. I've also tried the chicken parm sandwich. Its composed of crispy chicken, great sauce and lots of quality cheese. And then there's the pizza. Oh my God, these guys know what the hell there doing. I mean, lets me honest. Anyone can make a pizza. But it take a special place to make a good pizza. The dough was both crisp and chewy. The red sauce, forgetaboutit. It had to be simmering on a stove top for days to get that kind of flavor. And the cheese was super quality. I can't say enough great things about my new neighbor Fiorellas Express. if your even in Oak Sq and looking for a quick bite or some take out. Pay them a visit... You wont be disappointed.
(5)Todd W.
As a five year resident of Brighton, I'm thrilled that this place opened. I used to frequent the sister restaurant in Newton and their food is excellent and reasonably priced. I find that the food at the Brighton location is just as good. It seems the only complaints here are about the price of the pizza....but I'm not sure why anyone would order pizza from an Italian restaurant with a big menu...the entrees are cheaper and are the way to go. Leave the pizza to the pizza shops. At Fiorella's, go for the lasagna, chicken gezabella, meatball subs (the best I've found in the city), or any of the salads. In addition to the food, the service is excellent. The nice women who take the orders are friendly and pleasant, and they never make mistakes. Big A + for an excellent addition to Oak Square...especially considering the other sub-par food options in the area.
(5)Michael M.
I really like this place. Their pizza is good, their pasta is good, even their salads are good. Not too pricey. Their toasted ravioli is the bomb. And their staff is super friendly.
(4)Deb E.
Had an AMAZING lunch yesterday!! Total of 8 of us went & we were still talking about it at 5:30! I had the meatball calzone, some had pasta, some had the Italian hoagie. Place was really clean and the food was terrific! Ginny is working there which made it even more special. Highly recommend you check this place out -you will not be disappointed!! We are going back next week for dinner, it's BYOB. I will be taking some of my clients it's that amazing!!!!!
(5)Little W.
Thank goodness for Fiorellas express, who doesn't love a good Italian meal that you can eat on your couch! Any good Italian restaurant has to have a good calamari and pasta and Fiorellas does not disappoint; Chicken Gnocchi Fra Diavlo and Chicken Napolitano are two of our favorites! Although not very Italian, a surprisingly good choice is the buffalo chicken sub, one of the best we've ever had! You really cant go wrong with anything at Fiorellas, a must on those Sundays you wish you had a big Italian grandma to whip you up a home made meal.
(5)Jackie R.
This place is dangerous for the wallet. I crave garlicky food and classic Italian fare like no other, so when I saw Fiorella's had a deal on boston.com , I figured I'd give it a try because it's right around the corner. Bad bad bad decision - this place is way too delicious, and I now crave it for every meal. It's five-star food... I could literally drink their marinara sauce. Unfortunately, prices are around $10 for a pasta meal, and even though I get full very quickly, there's just not enough in the container to last 2 meals. So I guess I'll just have to treat myself here once in a while. I did find out, though, that if you sign up online they send you a link to a $5 coupon, and you get a free meal on your birthday.
(4)Joe U.
Wow, I remember the previous Fiorella's Express and it was extremely mediocre. This newest incarnation is superb. The steak and cheese calzone was excellent, as were the pasta dishes we ordered. The bread stick/strips are highly addictive. Everything tasted good even takeout. I am really glad to be nearby.
(5)karolina z.
I constantly order deliver from here. This place is one of the best around the area.Their pasta dishes and salads are really good. Good quality food and service.
(4)Valerie B.
Just had the lemon chicken and it is to die for! This is a great addition to the A/B...clean, friendly/classy service, good food and well-priced. I can't wait to try some of their other specialties...okay back to the lemon chicken!
(4)Samantha W.
Great Italian food at great prices. They opened up about a year and a half ago due to the popularity of their Newton location. Highlights include the bianca pizza (white pizza with tomatoes, basil, fresh mozzarella and garlic), the breadsticks with amazing marinara sauce -- a signature item-- , and the caprese salad with olive oil and balsamic. If you want delicious Italian takeout at reasonable prices, check this place out.
(4)Mrs. P.
Just finished a salad with their house Tuna Siciliano. It was absolutely perfect. And the house dressing too. I am so pleased to find a tuna salad that is more a Nicoise style than swimming in the usual pound of crappy (not even Hellman's!) mayo. The kalamata olives and capers were heavenly.
(5)Danielle E.
Everything here is good! My goto's are the eggplant balsamico, steak milano, tuna and italian sandwiches and the fra diavlo sauce they have is sooo good if you like a spicy sauce!! Prices are alittle high but thats the cost of eating better quality food product in general. Do you care about what your eating or do you want to save a couple bucks. Oh they have these amazingg cookies with a gooey brownie center def a must.
(5)Steve R.
I probably order food from Fiorella's at least once a week, probably even twice as do my roommates. One of the best places for take-out/delivery around my place. I am a huge fan of the chicken gnocchi fra diavlo, chicken marsala, chicken lorenzo, and pretty much everything. Today, I ordered delivery of a salad, soup, and chicken and sausage piccolo (something I've not tried before). After eating half the salad and soup I unfortunately found a bug in my salad. I don't know if this affects other people like me but that is just plain nasty and could not finish my food and threw the rest away. I called the restaurant and let them know and they were very nice and apologetic and said this has never happened before. But, because I ordered through grub hub they could only offer a discount toward my next order and not any sort of refund. Although, I never really asked for a refund. As much as this kills me, I am boycotting this place for a while (if not forever). I just feel where there is one bug, there will be others. Really bummed about the whole experience.

Got a pizza to go from here tonight. Ordered it with no cheese and some toppings including meatballs, remember the meatballs(I'm a weirdo and hate cheese, literally never eat it). I pick it up walk down the street and remember to check there is no cheese as places forget sometimes. Pizza had no sauce but lots of cheese. I take it back and show the lady at the register. She's a heavyset Asian lady, kinda Samoan looking, didn't catch her name. She immediately cops an attitude and tells me I ordered no sauce. I never ever order that. In fact, when I ordered no cheese on the pizza she told me the meatballs have a little cheese in them and asked if that's ok. I reminded her of this, explained to her I never eat cheese and am a huge weirdo about that. She relentlessly insisted I had said I wanted cheese but no sauce and was a huge bitch about it. It's a open kitchen behind the register and her own coworkers were giving her looks as she went on. Eventually I got my new pizza. To be fair, it was fantastic, best meatballs as a topping I've ever had. But God damn was that lady an absolute bitch.
(1)Alexis P.
amazing food but dont ever get delivery.. I have a problem literally every single time. Ive lived in 4 different locations throughout my attempts of fiorellas delivery "it will be different this time" and every single time "my gps cant find your address".. Ok then get a new gps! Or its very late past the estimated delivery time and very cold.. Not worth it!
(2)Chaya B.
Although they sent me a menu for delivery, when I called to place my order I was rejected for distance. Kinda turned me off. The original restaurant, doesn't deliver, but still my go to place for local Italian food.
(2)Hortencia P.
My go-to Italian place in the area. I am in love with all their food. The fried raviolis are to die for and their meatball pasta is amazing. Their delivery is timely and everyone there is super nice. If you're looking for an Italian place in Brighton this is it.
(5)Jay A.
Just moved back to the Boston area looking for some decent food for delivery ... this was not the place. My fries and calamari were gross and soggy, the calamari was a very sad excuse for something I get so often. Don't get either. This place is off my list
(2)Landon C.
Very friendly service. Very quick service. High quality, low price italian food. Nice spot to sit down inside. For the price this is a five star spot - no doubt. I've ordered from here at least ten times and have been quite satisfied regardless of the meal. The dishes with meat sometimes have as much meat as pasta. It's great for my satisfaction and shows they won't try to nickel and dime you with cheap pasta.
(5)Kristin Z.
We live in oak square and this is our go-to for delicious Italian, pizza, tasty sandwiches, or if you're trying to be healthy, salads and wraps. I have yet to order something that was not both delicious and speedy. An added bonus: you can see the kitchen! Staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient. Atmosphere is bustling -- most people order take out! The only thing that would make this place better would be turning it into a BYOB. But this is Massachusetts, so I'm not getting my hopes up. Favorites: Tuscany sandwich, antipasto salad, the fiorella pizza (prosciutto and mushroom). Husband loves the chicken parm sandwich.
(5)Courtney C.
The Tuscany sandwich is bomb!
(5)Deanna G.
Ordered today for the first time because I wanted to try a new pizza place in my area besides Big Daddy's. Which don't get me wrong Big Daddy's is great but I was tired of it. So I ordered a small pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni and a side of toasted ravioli. The delivery was very fast & the food came hot. Pizza was ooey gooey good & toasted raviolis were crunchy on the outside & cheesy in the middle the way they should be. My son & I had a nice lunch so I'll definitely be ordering here again! Maybe next time I'll try the calamari!
(5)Jared J.
I wish there were ways to break out star ratings. I've been ordering from Fiorella's for over 2 years now and the food is solid. But lately, the delivery game has been off to say the least. Food has been delivered cold, if I ordered pizza, it would arrive with the cheese and toppings completely off the pizza as if the box had been dropped or just awful driving and items have been forgotten. I would easily give them 4 stars for food if not 5 but delivery has just been really bad for the past few months.
(3)Ken J.
Horrific customer service! Was very excited to try this place for the first time. We I ordered dinner for delivery and waited 30 minutes to receive a phone call that our food was ready but we're just outside their delivery area and they wouldn't make an exception even for a first time customer. If that's how they treat their first time customers I'm glad never to be a patron. Avoid this incompetent establishment.
(1)Holly C.
I struggle with this review - Fiorellas in Newtonville is amazing. So I figured I'd try this place. The first time they delivered - the food was good, not great. I had gotten the toasted ravioli and the chicken fra diavlo. The second time was tonight. After a long week this I didn't feel like cooking - so I ordered online. 2 hours later and 2 phone calls I still had not gotten my food. I live 4 minutes from the restaurant - I wound up canceling my order. I think I'll find another delivery / take out option next time.
(1)Nichole D.
It's been some time since I started coming here and I've definitely noticed a decline in the quality of the food - not to mention a bit of a hike in the price. For example: in the past couple months I've been in twice. Once I had a spinach calzone that was raw in the middle, burned to heck on the outside and had very little filling. The other time I went in for a pizza and it was pretty soggy. The customer service is still great, but I've found other places to patronize more often.
(4)Kendra D.
I keep trying to make myself like this place but they are so disappointing. The cheese fries seemed as if they were made and left out for hours. I had maybe a handful and threw the rest away. Such a waste. The Caesar salad was blah and not flavorful. I've had other dishes that were ok- shrimp scampi, pizza and others. My boyfriend got the lasagna and he wasn't to impressed. I want like this place but they keep disappointing me....
(1)Phil O.
UPDATE I've been back 7-8 times and my experiences have been much better. Some dishes I've tried include the Pasta Bolognese, Chicken Parm, Veal Parm, Gnocchi Fra Diavolo, and Calimari. I firmly believe this place tops most low end and some middle-of-the-pack restaurants in the North End. In the lower Allston area, it's my only option to get decent, semi-authentic Italian food delivered. Big Daddy's is okay too if you want a little more grease and a hefty portion while sacrificing some quality. Also, they've recently lowered their minimum delivery order from $15 to $10.
(5)Macey May L.
I love Fiorella's Express, I order dinner from here about once a week and it's always delicious and hot when I go to pick it up. The place itself is always clean and the girls that answer the phones/do pick up orders are absolute sweethearts!
(5)Christina L.
Very friendly staff and super quick delivery or take-out. The food is fantastic. Everything is always fresh and delicious. My absolute favorite is the seafood ravioli - you can actually tell what kind of seafood you're eating. Management is great as well - I received a pizza once that was slightly burnt, and the manager gave me the option of either getting a new one delivered or having a full-price credit on my next purchase. Overall great place in Oak Square!
(5)Joe J.
A solid 4-star Italian take-out experience. I will say this, delivery usually takes roughly an hour or slightly more. If you can build that time into your order, and know it is there, you can manage to have a good experience. If you want it in 45 minutes, it might make you a bit bitter. Tonight took 1:05 for delivery, and the food was hot, so I could not complain. Ordered via Foodler, and everything that came was good. The antipasti salad left something to be desired, but the pasta dishes are on point. Prices are very fair!
(4)Kathryn M.
Found this gem after moving my son into BC. It was hot- we were tired and we needed to eat. We drove around a bit eventually found Fiorella's. Glad we stopped in! It's sort of a take out place, but they do have 4 or 5 tables. We opted to dine in. Kind of pricey: 2 veal parm sandwich's and 2 soda's- $28. However, the food was fantastic. It's an open kitchen so I could watch them make the meal. All fresh ingredients and it took about 10 minutes. I bought a jar of their sauce on the way out (which is very unlike me!) for $7 and was very happy with the quality. We will be back! :)

The calamari & toasted ravioli are delicious! The pizzas are alright - the "margherita" is misleading - no fresh mozz. Their marinara is great! The food is always ready before I get there.
(4)Kevin M.
I sometimes forget this place is so close to me, and that is unfortunate because everything I've every ordered from this place has been excellent. The pizza is amazingly good, their calzones and sandwiches are great as well. Would probably give 5-stars if they had a bigger menu.
(4)Jessica G.
Terrible. Ordered delivery. Took over an hour and the food came cold. Pizza was cold, garlic bread cold & then there's the Greek salad. Came with a bug. Perfect way to seal the deal on this horrible, disgusting experience. I guess the $4 bucks I saved via foodler was wasted on an almost uneatable meal. Never ordering again from this place. One word - gross. Blah. And they forgot my ranch! Unspeakable.
(1)Jen S.
So for the 11ish months we lived in Oak Square, right down the street from this place, we were loyal customers. I'm still crazy in love with their breadsticks (which I eventually started calling CRACKSTICKS) and brought visiting friends who agreed with me on the crackness of those breadsticks... I will miss being so close to this place! Everything we've tried has just been so good (as I wrote in my first review, though, the chicken caesar salad was not that great.). I ended up LOVING the chicken parm dish AND sandwich...and you can custom order pasta as long as they have the ingredients. The owner (Sean I think?) Is super great and he remembers his customers! The girls behind the counter are always smiling and friendly. We will definitely be making a few special trips back to Brighton so we can fill our bellies with Fiorella's Yumness!!!
(5)Lala L.
The pizza is not bad at all ( the times that I've eaten there). However, the 2 stars is for the catering order I had for a bridal shower. I can't believe it came from the same kitchen. The pasta was horrible and the lasagna was overcooked.....to the point where everything was mush. It literally melted in my mouth...and not in a good way. The chicken parm wasnt that much better either. In fact, it wa way overcooked. Did they leave the oans in the oven overnight so that when we picked it up the next day eveeything would be ready? I was embarrassed that this was served to 30 guests we had at the party.
(2)Alex F.
I live right around the corner so the fact that Fiorellas's Express is a 2 minute is a awesome. Very high quality food. I usually get pasta and every time they do it right. It's easy to overcook pasta but they seem make it just right every time which is super important to me. The sauces are not to thick or thin and taste just right. I typically get chicken and broccoli with my pasta and it's always fresh and delicious. The last time I went I ordered an Italian sandwich and added chicken cutlet...WOW...it was incredibly good. Also I split it with my friend and wasn't left hungry....maybe because I had a few beers in me...thanks Fiorellas's!
(5)Kensey D.
My favorite restaurant in Brighton. We go at least once a week! Quick, delicious and everyone is friendly. Highly recommended!!
(5)Susan K.
Really disappointing, and this place always seems so busy so I'm a little befuddled. The shrimp scampi had SO MUCH OIL it was kind of gross and the shrimp were tough and overcooked. Had another pasta dish that was super bland and unappetizing. The lettuce in the salad was fresh and crisp so that was a plus, but the dressing tasted horrible and I ended up just using my own. Also decided to try the tiramisu, which was pretty tasty, but felt like a rip off for such a tiny portion for $5. Person who took my order was very friendly and that was pretty much the highlight of my meal. Would not try again, unless I wanted oil with a side of pasta.

Food was meh, I live like three streets over and it took over an hour and 15 mins. Girl who answered the phone was super rude. Ill pass!

Things that were really good: - The plum basil tomato sauce - The Italiano calzone (the flavoring was good - the meat was filling, and well matched) Things that were just okay - The calamari (good flavoring, not super crispy but to be fair, I ordered it to go, so not sure how long it waited for me to come pick it up) - The baked gnocchi (it was good, and filling, and the portion was huge. just wasn't that into the level of chewiness - maybe I'm a snob now that I've had homemade gnocchi - and because it said "baked" I was expecting something that was oven crisped.) - The marinara sauce (not so flavorful) I'd go back and try something else with a different sauce - judging by all the other reviews, I just chose the wrong stuff.

A really great, go to spot. Delicious food, good prices, and good for eat in/take out. The pizza is on par with New York, which is something I never thought I would say. The dishes have fantastic fresh flavor.

It's ok I guess.... I ordered the chicken parm. It was nothing to write home about. The price is a bit steep for what you get. Chicken wasn't crispy at all, it had a paper-thin layer of cheese on it, the portions were a bit small, and the sauce was nothing special.

Amazing value. I was pretty darn excited when I found out that one of my favorite restaurants was opening an express version closer to my house - about 100 orders later, it's time for a yelp review. The food - okay, it's not quite north end, not quite authentic italian that grandma use to make - but it's well above average and better than a lot of tourist traps in Boston. You can get a nice dinner here for $12 that would cost $20 in Boston. They certainly know how to make the most out of their ingredients. I would recommend the dinners first and foremost - napolitano, the gnocchi fra diavlo, cacciatore, prosciutto and chicken - all great. Never had a bad pasta dish. The sandwiches are well above average, and the calzones are also amazing value. The only thing I can't rave about is their pizza. It's not terrible, it's just that Alston Brighton is the pizza Capitol of America, and if I'm craving pizza Fiorellas would be my last choice. The service solidifies the 5 star rating. The ladies at the front desk are always super nice, and delivery is also very quick.

Friendly and quick service with consistently delicious food! Pasta and pizza are all excellent. I eat here once or twice a month and every dish I've tried has tasted great. Good for delivery or eat in. Favorites: shrimp scampi and fusilli bologenese

This place is great. I have only gotten takeout/delivery through foodler but I have never been disappointed. Toasted ravioli is amazing as well as gnocchi and basically any dish you get. Delicious!!

I like this place a lot. The chicken parm, toasted raviolis, and bbq chicken pizza are house favorites. If you're looking for something on the healthier/light side the california wrap is great. Also, the salads are large and filled with lots of different veggies. They're extremely consistent in quality as well. We've been ordering there for well over a year now and they've only messed up our order once. In response, we called in and they corrected our order and had it at our house within 20 minutes.I was very impressed. Side note: The delivery guy sprints up our stairs every time!

I don't usually post reviews, but this certainly deserves one. I ordered a Alfredo with chicken and broccoli. It was absolutely inedible.... Completely disgusting, tasted like it was made about 2 weeks ago and microwaved...i would say Marie calendars tv dinner would have been better than this dish.... Never going back...

Only Italian in the area that delivers and actually tastes Italian. I don't like their pizza... Semolina much? And they have screwed up the orders twice.... But quick, friendly service, and delicious chicken Parm, eggplant Parm, toasted ravioli, small salads are a large size and only $3! Id like to see garlic knots on the menu, and They go a bit heavy on sauce on the marinara entrees for my taste but the sauce is actually good and real... Unlike the salsa/ragu combo that most crap holes try and pass off as marinara around these parts....so I'm totally cool with it. It's a shame I'm moving, I have been searching a long time for proper Italian dinner delivery sooooooooooooo delicious!!!!!

Ordered delivery - Fried Calamari, Garlic breadsticks, and the Soup of the Day (happened to be italian wedding). Food came pretty quickly, and the delivery guy was pleasant. The calamari was great; rhode island style with a good mix of rings and tentacles. It held up pretty well in the delivery box, too. Both the squid and peppers were pretty good quality. The garlic breadsticks were a little disappointing, in that they were more like bread-strips. Flat, thin, and crispy to the point of dryness. Not at all what I was expecting, but I picked out some of the the fluffier ones to try. They were seasoned well, and the accompanying red sauce was quite good. I wouldn't order these again, though (at least not delivery). Since I ordered delivery, I had to call the restaurant to ask what the soup of the day was. Maybe I was lucky I caught them on a good day, but their Italian Wedding soup is DELICIOUS. Really flavorful, with plenty of spicy little meatballs. Fortunately, I ordered a "bowl" size instead of a "cup," so I have enough for lunch tomorrow!

Gotta update this because their take out service for pick up is slow. You can be waiting there more than five minutes if there is one person in front of you. Their line is busy pretty often which is a no-no for any take out place. It is frustrating to have to call back four times trying to put an order in. If you order pick up, make sure you go earlier than they tell you to. Twice I have gone in the 20-30 minute range I was given and my food was luke warm at best by the time I got there. Always be there 15 minutes after you order unless you like to reheat your pizza or calzone. I will absolutely keep going here, but they need another line and more than one person working the register. The wait times are frustrating. Picking up food should be in and out, not a drawn out wait while your food gets cold.

I am a big fan of Fiorellas Express. I really like the sausage/pepperoni fra diavlo. The sauce has a good spiciness and usually enough sausage and pepperoni. My husband really enjoys the Chicken & Sausage Piccolo. They only reason they are missing a star is because it is a little expensive. Also the garlic bread sticks are so good at Fiorellas but they don't travel as well in delivery. But they are still tasty.

we had salad, few of the pastas, and a pizza. Exceeded our expectations and food came out quickly in a generous portion. We ate in the dining room, not realizing most of the traffic is for pick up. Loved the crust on the pizza!

I order from Fiorella's about twice a week. I have tried several different salads, pasta dishes and pizzas. All have been fantastic! They also accommodate special requests. The food is good quality and well prepared. I am so happy to have them in my neighborhood!

Food was great, very quick. Ordered pickup and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. Very tasty. Garlic bread that came with the meals wasn't that fantastic, but really enjoyed the Baked Gnocchi and Chx Parm

Living in Oak Square is dangerous for people with munchies. You have two pizza joints, a wing place, sushi place, 2 thai places, and this italian place all within walking distance. lolwut. DESTROYED. Fiorella's was the place I went to to "treat myself", to deviate from the normal chicken fingers, gyros, wings. I've had a few of their pastas here, all awesome, but my go-to is the chicken gnocchi fra diavolo. This thing is out of this world. Honestly anything on their menu with chicken is good. They must have magical chickens because their chicken items (sandwiches or pasta) are killer, super tender, moist, flavorful. Not much more to say. I mean, like I said, dangerous place if you're trying to lose weight/be healthy. They have an open kitchen and I saw them cook before... they throw pads of butter in the sauces like it's nothing. But really, it's soooooooooooooooo worth it. So good. I'm envious of my buddy who recently got a new job in the area. Delivery every day.

Ordered delivery from this place and am 100% turned away from it. Delivery time was fine, but I can't say anything good about the food because I got a nasty surprise when I started eating my fried calamari. There was a dead fly - fried - mixed in with my calamari. I lost my appetite so I can't tell you what the rest of the food tasted like - threw everything away. Disgusting. How do you fry a fly and serve it to a customer without noticing it??

After ordering from Fiorellas for the past 1.5 years I had to change my review. The food from here is very good. However, the thing that stands out most is that the delivery guy runs out of his car like it is on fire to give you your food! Now that is service. I wish they had a better drink selection.

I am giving this five stars based strictly on Fiorella's versus its direct competitors. Is their food as good at other top quality fine dining restaurants in the city? No. But it's TOP TOP TOP quality takeout food. It is 10,000 times better than any other take-out or delivery pizza type joint in Allston/Brighton. They are always quick at making the food, and friendly as well. Pricing is slightly more than an average takeout but it is more than worth it. Their breadsticks make for a perfect snack, they have a $3 salad that makes for a healthy but tasty lunch or appetizer, and their chicken and pasta dishes are all very good. The only thing that hasn't been *great* is their tuna sandwich--I thought it was just ok and a little dry.

Their gnocchi fra diavalo is amazing! I used to have to wait in line for hours at the Newton location to get this goodness. Now I can get it in under 20 minutes and in my pajamas to boot. Food here always tastes fresh and is ready in record time. They also can assist in catering and made for an awesome Christmas party last year.
