Terrific breakfast spot.

I had a nice time here! I sat inside, which is really cute and decorated like a surf shop. It's small, but there's a lot of seating outside for when it gets busy, which is often! I ordered a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream and it was very good! There wasn't anything outstanding about that dish in particular, but I enjoyed the meal and look forward to returning!
(4)Michele B.
This was the most enjoyable breakfast I've had in a very long time! Amazing coffee, delicious eggs Benedict, and the friendliest service on the cape. I can't wait to come back!
(5)Beth G.
What a cute little place to go and get a coffee and a muffin . I had a cranberry and nut muffin. Very good!!! The lunches looked huge and yummy as they were being brought out past me. They do not take credit card, but they do have there own ATM.
(5)Mel R.
Staying in Brewster for the week and was looking for a place for breakfast. This place is 2 mins from the resort that I am staying at so we decided to try it out. Lobster omelet is a must try. It was soooooo delicious. I love trying places that locals go to. The waffles and pancakes were also very good.
(4)Mike B.
Pretty little place and nice alternative to Grumpy's down the road. Attentive, hard-working owner. Menu is Limited but solid and reasonably priced
(4)Vanessa B.
Awesome little local spot! Coffee was fresh and fair trade organic. My mom and I both had the spinach and cheddar Benedict - so good! Everything was fresh, the eggs were poached to perfection and the hollandaise was obviously made from scratch and it was creamy and tangy. The service was awesome. Our waiter Jonathan was super friendly and attentive and gave us lots of suggestions for places to go on the cape. The atmosphere was a perfect little small town feel place and was decorated so cute. The only downside is that they take cash only, but there is an ATM on site. Can't wait to come back!
(5)Julz L.
Been to Brewster tons of time but never early enough time to come to this place. Glad I finally did, a+ from the start. Friendly woman greeting you at the door, nice clean space, fast service and yummy fresh eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was just right and portion filling without nauseating. Coffee is strong and fresh and when they realized I was an addict, offered a cup to go. That's how you win my heart.
(5)Mark W.
What a difference when the business is family owned and operated. Outstanding service from Helen, the owner's mother. Excellent food, super-clean. We sat beneath umbrellas on picnic tables. It doesn't get more Cape Cod than this :-). Be sure to bring cash. They do not accept credit cards, but do provide an ATM machine if you're running short. Three dollar service fee for ATM withdraw.
(5)James B.
I had my first Brewster breakfast and met the owner a year ago just after he had bought, cleaned, and opened for the summer. Enjoyed that meal and the many since. It's become our Sunday lunch tradition (when we can get in, that is!) nearly every week. Great to have such a nice local place to go to for locally roasted coffee, good food, and great service.
(5)Richard G.
Ok so im back in 2015 and what a turn around. Fast service, food is great, and the coffee remains great as well. Im so happy i can now make this 5 stars. Put it on your food list of things to do.
(5)John D.
No surprises here but that can be a good thing. Very well cooked food without all the fluff. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Not fine dining but consistent and tasty ;)
(4)Richard D.
So Glad for the new ownership! What a great little spot. Nice atmosphere, lots of natural light and very nice staff. The food was spot on and delicious. I particularly appreciated all the little touches the staff added to make our breakfast enjoyable. Price was just fine-$25 for 2 people w/coffee and large portion breakfasts. Thanks again...will definitely be back and with friends!
(5)Anthony I.
If you're staying in Brewster, and are looking for a breakfast spot that fulfills every expectation of being fresh, local and homemade, Brewster Coffee Shop gets the job done, 100%. I was so happy with my meal. The Eggs Florentine tasted delicious. The coffee was spectacular. Make sure you get here extra earlier, before the crowds. This place gets jammed packed during the summer, and you might not be able to find a seat. It's worth every dollar.
(5)Jonathan D.
Cozy Brewster morning spot serving up mediocre breakfast. Go here if you want a decent traditional breakfast, but keep it simple. Made the mistake of ordering the chicken and waffles. I believe the chicken was pre cooked sliced breast that had been dredged and fried. I wouldn't be surprised if this product came frozen in a bag. This resulted in very dry bland chicken. The waffle was good, albeit cold. Girlfriends lobster Benedict was no good- soggy muffin, frozen spongy lobster, faux hollandaise. Coffee was also just ok. The service was very attentive and the family running the establishment seemed very kind. 3 stars mostly for service.
(3)Britney D.
My husband and I were not impressed. The atmosphere is cute, but it is very dirty. The floors were disgusting. The coffee was horrible, very bitter. We both got omelets, they were over cooked. The steak omelet special was just the veggie omelet plus steak-ums. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We will never be returning.
(1)Hannah M.
Stopped in to support local business. I should've canceled the order when I saw the instant espresso come out.... Worst cappuccino and latte ever. We couldn't even drink them :(
(1)James N.
Coffee was black and strong....well, for me...the wife's was a little weaker with milk and sugar...but both were just how we like it! I had the breakfast burrito and she had a bagel...and we ate our breakfast down at the beach. Thanks Brewster Coffee House breakfast on the beach was perfect!!!
(5)Bret C.
The Brewster Coffee House is family friendly and has delicious food. It's busy but it has a beautiful atmosphere whether you eat inside or outside. Our first experience wasn't so good so I'm glad to say they're back in business.
(5)Mike M.
Have come here every summer for a few years for breakfast before hitting the beaches. Both food and service have gone downhill. Will look elsewhere next time.
(2)Josh C.
Not bad. Food was good. Waitresses were nice. However, it was understaffed and therefore service was slowed to a crawl
(3)John G.
Quite satisfied with breakfast. Fresh coffee thick toast and great omelette. Home fries were tasty too
(5)Mr B.
Diner essentially with all that goes with that: concentrate juices, powdered cocoa, and sugar water called syrup. If you persist you can get around health challenges and deal but I'd say there are better options for the culinary inclined. This is a great family spot as they're personable and friendly. I'd rather foray elsewhere as quality means more to me than volume and trust me, this place serves volume galore!
(3)Melissa C.
UPDATE: Very disappointing follow up from last year's rave review. COFFEE AND SERVICE: The server made me a bit uncomfortable. She seemed...expectant, like we owed her something. I asked if they served espresso drinks, they do, so I ordered a triple iced Americano. The waitress seemed very put out and said that maybe they could do that, but she wasn't sure. (An iced Americano is espresso over ice, a triple means they use three shots of espresso. It is probably the easiest espresso bar drink to make aside from a straight espresso shot.) I ended up just ordering hot coffee because I didn't want to deal with the aggravation. Very disappointing, since I had my heart set on an iced espresso drink. I had to get up and go find someone to get a refill, since leaving the empty cup at the end of the table for nearly 20 minutes didn't seem to be working. Our sub-par server was MIA for most of our visit. WAIT AND FOOD: While there was no wait for a table, it was on a Monday so this seemed normal, we were forced to wait nearly an hour for our food to come out after ordering it. I was served the wrong meal and then had to wait again for the right one. They also made mistakes with the meal for my dining companion. AMBIANCE: We sat inside this year and the inside was sort of what you would expect from a diner: loud; close seating; a view of the parking lot from the window seats; etc. I'm not sure what happened to this place between last year and the present day, but whatever it was the change was for the worse. We MAY try again someday, but it would be with hesitation if at all.
(2)K C.
New owners. CASH ONLY. No refills on iced tea. Understaffed. Service slow and not particularly friendly.
(1)Angela M.
For me, this was the quintessential NE breakfast spot. We were promptly seated at a 4 top with a chair on the end for our toddler. I was pleased at the selected of sweet and savory dishes, and I felt like splurging, so I chose the eggs florentine and the cranberry pancakes. Also ordered at the table were the corned beef hash benedict and the blueberry muffin (grilled of course). We had too much of a wait for my 2.5 year old, but I was able to watch him run through the neighbor's yard while our food was prepared. The food was very good. The hollandaise on the Eggs Florentine was divine, and the spinach tasted fresh to me. The English muffin tasted as if it had been toasted, such that it held up well to all the toppings. I thoroughly enjoyed the cranberry pancakes, with the tart cranberries, rather than those overly sweet processed ones you find the south. I also got a taste of the grilled blueberry muffin - how can you go wrong by adding butter and searing a fluffy fresh blueberry muffin? My taste buds were so happy! Prices were reasonable, service was friendly, coffees and waters were refilled promptly, and nobody batted an eyelash at my toddler's energy level and desire to run around.
(5)Sereia C.
I ended up leaving this place after being ignored at the breakfast bar for 14 minutes (checked my watch), and during that time a couple came in after me (who you could tell were locals...knew everyone), also sat at the bar, and got served coffee and taken breakfast order, followed by an older man and his grandson a couple minutes after that...same thing. My boyfriend an I kept looking at every server that went behind the bar, hoping someone would acknowledge us, but not even a menu. Definitely won't be giving them service.
(1)Ilana B.
This place serves great breakfast and great lunch and great coffee! The servers were so sweet (brought us the extra coffee before they dumped the pot) and the owner even delivered our food! They really seem to care about their service and food. If I'm ever back in Cape Cod this place will definitely be a stop!
(5)Davis M.
Wow what a disappointment. We have been coming here for years and look forward to this place as the ending of our vacation. New owners.... The wait staff is many but seem overwhelmed. Ours forgot stuff, we had to ask for coffee refills and pay 3.05 for a cup! My sons Chocolate Milk wasn't stirred. White with a lump of syrup at the bottom. Food was passable but the new menu selection is dismal. We weren't even 1/2 done eating and she gave us the bill. nothing like saying eat fast and get out! Sad to say after years of patronage this is our last time at BCH!
(1)Karrie S.
This place was wonderful! They came recommended by a friend and we are so glad they did so! Their hostess Ellen is super friendly and it's a relaxed atmosphere. Ellen also happened to be our waitress and she was very excited by the special which my husband ordered and loved. I got the strawberry and banana pancakes and they were delicious. The bacon was cooked perfectly and the coffee was great. My husband was ecstatic to be able to get flavored ice coffee. We highly recommend this place for a nice breakfast if you like a casual, fun atmosphere!
(5)Keith V.
Food not great. Place was extremely dirty. Do not order the chicken and waffles... They were a joke at best. On a positive note the service was very good!
(2)Akshata S.
The good things about this place are probably what matter the most- the food is really good, and on a nice warm sunny day, sitting outside on the picnic benches is wonderful- it's a cute garden with lots of trees, so you can opt to sit in the shade if you'd like as well. The bad- the staff does seem to be disorganized. However, the woman waiting on us mentioned that the management had recently made a lot of changes and it was her second day on the job, so perhaps that explains some of their inexperience. Overall- I would go again!
(4)Lucy B.
On the main street of Brewster lies a quaint little coffee shop with a sandy driveway and flowers outside the front door. Outside dining is open for the season. We have been here 2 other times while visiting our daughter and grandbaby! I did notice a change right away with the food. They have changed onwers. Other reviews state service as horrible or rude or non existing. Our experience was totally reversed excellent service from our male server. He was on top of the 6 of us at all times. Coffee refills, water refills, excellent service. He made our stay enjoyable. Food however was a big change with new onwers definitely a difference from last time we were here. I was looking forward to the homemade home fries with the onions and peppers. They were a complete 180! Just cubes of potatoes nothing else. Pancakes I have been craving since last visit as well, definitely different. Coffee ok not note worty. Still a cute place and for 6 of us was $100 plus 20% tip! The 3 stars is for service and cleanliness of place
(3)Jenna M.
From what I understand, this place underwent a management change a few years ago. (wasn't it the Brewster Cafe before?) Unfortunately, the change is noticeable. The food simply isn't good. The OJ tastes like soda, the hash browns are just small french fries (where did the onions go), the hash is strange, the muffins are overly sweet and aren't made with fresh fruit, and...shocker...the coffee sucks. Hopefully next year I'll remember to not go back here (I said this last year and forgot...). There are just so many other places that are better - don't waste your time!
(2)Stephanie G.
Great local place to grab breakfast! Food is so-so but the atmosphere feels authentically Cape Codderish (--no, that's not a word, but it describes it perfectly!) without being overcrowded with tourists. In fact, every time I've come here, I always think it's just a locals place. The service was not attentive enough but the place is so small that it is just easier to get up and walk over to the counter to ask for something. They serve your typical eggs, toast, sausage and homefries kind of breakfast. Greasy and delicious. Enjoy!
(4)Seth A.
Cheap pricing for cheap food. Staff was friendly but food was lackluster. We could have made better at home at food and I wouldn't visit again. Good location is about all this place has going for it.
(2)Craig S.
We've been coming to the Brewster Coffee Shop for years. After our experience this morning, we'll never be back. Service was incredibly rude and slow and half our order was incorrect. Such a shame to see this wonderful spot go downhill.
(1)Steve A.
Good strong coffee and good breakfast. The service can be spotty which is why it is 3 stars but at least the food is good. Especially as compared to other places we have tried.
(3)Joe P.
I am a regular summer visitor to the BCS for the last several years. I have been a big fan of the breakfast here. Over the last week I have been to the restaurant twice with the same result. The service was unbelievably slow, and the staff incompetent. By the time the food came it did not matter how it tasted. I was too frustrated to care, I just wanted to leave. I will not be back
(1)Sami W.
We were biking in the area and didn't know where to go and have a nice brunch. Thanks to the technology and smartphones and the Yelp App that lead us to this nice little gem. It was packed but we were able to find a table. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I ordered the Eggs Benedict which was good but not great, and I enjoyed it regardless, probably because I was starving. Overall, I had a good experience and will definitely come back if I ever am in the area.
(4)Angie P.
Just finished breakfast at this cute little coffee shop. Although the food was tasty our poached eggs were way over cooked! It was very busy since it is Memorial day weekend, service was a bit slow, and we were never asked for refills of our tea and coffee. Great atmosphere! We would definitely come back but ask for runny yolks for our poached eggs next time.
(3)Aimee L.
Seriously. Why does this place get good reviews? My husband grew up in Brewster so we are here quite a bit. We went to the Coffee Shop this morning just to check it out after years of not going. Ah, I remember why we have only graced this establishment once before... We ordered eggs benedict and eggs florentine, a kid's egg plate, coffee and peach ginger ice tea. First the ice tea literally tasted like sludge...had to send it back and the coffee was totally the height of mediocrity. Then our eggs came. My hubs sliced in to his eggs expecting delicious yoke-ness to spill out. Nope hard as a rock. We thought it might be just his egg, so I sliced in to my eggs florentine...boiled solid. Then my sister cut in to her egg...you guessed it...hard boiled egg! We asked our server about it. Her answer back was people like their eggs in different ways. Umm, yes, this is indeed true, people do like their eggs in different ways. But when you order eggs benedict and or eggs florentine you should get poached eggs (also as stated on the menu) not hard boils eggs with hollandaise sauce on top. Also 2 eggs came on the plate. That means the cook had literally 6 chances to poach eggs correctly for our table alone. And let me make very clear that none of us ordered our eggs to be cooked hard boiled like that. We were so hungry at this point we each ate one of our two eggs. But man I wish we hadn't. We were debating on speaking to a manager, but at that point, we just decided to get the hell out of dodge. Do yourself a favor, save the calories and the money (that meal was $50) for much better faire in Brewster.
(1)Jon A.
Great breakfast joint. Awesome omelets, pancakes, waffles, even lobster Benedict. A great place to eat lunch to. The service is great. Don't be discouraged if there is line. The turnover is quick
(5)Jerry E.
Average to Mediocre breakfast. Vegetable omelet was only OK. Bacon, average and toast ok. The potatoes were below average. Definitely not my favorite breakfast on the Cape.
(3)DJ S.
We waited for about 15 minutes to get a table for five, which was fine at 9am. Any place that has the word "coffee" in its name should be able to serve a decent brew. Unfortunately, the BCS is a diner that serves up a weak cup. The food, however, was just okay. Not terrible -- at least the home fries weren't frozen and fried -- but it was not anything to get excited about. I got the cranberry pancakes with eggs and home fries, my husband and two of the kids got the blueberry pancakes (also with scrambled eggs and potatoes), and my teen got an omelet, wheat toast and home fries. The eggs weren't fluffy or especially tasty, but fine. The bigger disappointment were the pancakes -- they weren't the light, fluffy cakes I'd hoped for. Again, they were fine, but nothing particularly special. Disappointed to have to pay $2 extra for real maple syrup. We asked if the fruit cup was fresh, and our server said it's scooped from a can. We passed on it. Not a terrible place, but we won't go back during our vacation.
(2)Jo B.
It's definitely as good as it gets for breakfast in the area! A family tradition to hit up Brewster Coffee Shop for breakfast at least once when we're in Brewster, usually on the first morning when we wake up and realize we have yet to fill the cottage fridge with any food! Along 6A the breakfast is most definitely worth the stop. Pancakes are delish, French Toast too. I personally recommend the garden veggie omelette, veggies were fresh and eggs cooked to perfection. BCS won't disappoint and you can even eat breakfast al fresco, on the cape what more could you want, maybe a water view?
(5)A W.
Great for breakfast. We were able to add two things to an omelet with no extra charge, eggs florentine was very good. A great choice for breakfast, coffee also gets an A+
(5)Pat M.
This is a GREAT Breakfast place ! could have ate here EVERY moring while at the CAPE ! The service was great too ! - very friendly
(5)Michael M.
Nice atmosphere, good portions and very good breakfast.
(5)Dana B.
What a cute place! Serving breakfast all day and offering a lunch and dinner menu this is a great little place to grab a quick bite. The staff was friendly and helpful. The portions were huge and the food was tasty. THey have indoor and outdoor seating available. The inside is just so cute - although cramped. Luckily we were seated closer to the door where the tables were more spread out and no one was around us. The bathrooms are decorated with childrens artwork. If thats not the most adorable thing ever, then I don't know what is.
(5)Anabela L.
I had to give this place 5 stars for a few reasons: friendly service, great food, great prices, and most importantly I love family run coffee houses. I am so tired of chains with the same old greasy food, and it's nice to feel like I'm eating at home away from home. My husband loved the hollandaise sauce! My youngest daughter had delicious chocolate chip pancakes. My oldest had a freshly baked blueberry muffin. My eggs were made over easy with home fries. Everyone's food was great!
(5)Melissa L.
Cute little place! We had breakfast here and the food was good and the prices were great! Definitely hit here!
(4)FoodGir L.
Good.. perfect for what you need it for. We had time to kill before check in for our hotel room so we grabbed breakfast. We sat outside its a small area but really intimate and total cape cod feel with sea shells on the ground and overlooking a tiny cape cottage. I dont think they have changed much over the years but the food was exactly what we wanted and the oj was fresh!
(3)Jen and Tim S.
We went here on the recommendation of a colleague. It was GREAT. I think the only downside is that most of the outside tables are for big groups, so we had to eat inside (or wait), but we immediately got a table inside. This place is family run and totally cute. Tim had Celtic Eggs Benedict, that had corned beef hash under the poached egg! He loved it. I went for the simpler "2 fer" 'cause I can never decide between eggs/toast or pancakes. I was so glad I got this, I got it with the cranberry pancakes YUM. I would highly recommend ordering this or ordering them on their own -- how often do you have a chance to get cranberry pancakes? Take this chance! This place is right on 6A and it's got grey shingles and a lot of windows. Heading east, it's on your left. It's open for breakfast & lunch. give it a try - yum!
(5)Anonymous P.
I just had espresso here. It was "you know," but they actually did a good job pulling it, it's just the beans weren't the greatest. I liked the outdoor seating and the nice staff. A place I'd like to hang if I lived in Brewster.
(3)E P.
Absolutely loved it! The cranberry pancakes and turkey bacon were outstanding. Creative, lengthy menu. Lovely setting flooded with sunlight. Attentive, friendly, quick waitstaff. The only downside was the coffee -- potable but did not do the trick for us -- the kind of coffee that turns very light and rather thin when you add one mini container of the half and half they provide at restaurants. I would go there again and again if only I could! Great for all ages. Highly recommended.
(5)Liana K.
It hits the spot as a solid brunch place. Prices seem reasonable and we went in September so we got seated right away. Coffee was good. I got an eggs Benedict with hash and it was a perfect 5! BF got an omelette and it was a 4 but dieters will be happy to know the omelettes don't come too greasy. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The inside is all colorful and happy like breakfast joints should be.
(4)Angelina O.
Hands down the best breakfast on cape! Love all the friendly staff and the food! I got a ham and cheese omelet and was amazed! I try to try new things every time I go in but the home frys are a must! The coffee is amazing! It's strong and that's just how I drink mine!Much improved with the new owners!
(5)Harley H.
Food was good, not great but not bad either. Pancakes were big enough on their own, but went well with a side of sausage. They were slightly overdone but still enjoyable. I would go back if I was in the area, but wouldn't be caught going too terribly far out of my way.
(4)Christina L.
Pros: Fluffy blueberry pancakes Potatoes that goes with eggs were crispy and seasoned. Cons: Long wait for limited 2 person seating. This place is great for large groups. Oj was bottled an tasted watery. Nice pit stop, but wouldn't drive out of my way.
(3)Karen R.
What a disappointment!! We used to love the Brewster Coffee Shop. The new owners have made this place a shell of what it used to be. Unorganized waitstaff - no coffee refill had to ask for our check. Food was not good. Pancakes were heavy with un-ripe bananas. Home fries were deep fried!! Yuck !! No credit cards , cash only. So sad we will not be back.
(2)Shannon K.
We came here looking for a quick easy breakfast. Great outdoor seating with indoor options as well. The waitress was very sweet and attentive and the boy bussing tables even refilled our coffee while the waitress was helping another table. They don't take credit cards but the prices are worth it (we spent $20 on breakfast for 2). The food was pretty average but again for the price and the atmosphere it was great.
(4)Roger W.
I judge breakfast places largely by their home fries. The new owners now serve precut frozen potatoes instead of the genuine ones. Terrible. Coffee quality is awful and tastes burnt. Seem like nice people and if they can fix these 2 major issues this could be a good place again but as is, not so much.
(2)Bex D.
Rude, rude, rude. After waiting at the counter for 10 minutes and being ignored by about 7 waiters [note: why they need about 10 waiters for a 50- person capacity restaurant is beyond me] a blonde girl with a pony tail and overdone eyeliner who looked about 15 finally decided to make eye contact. Before placing my order, I asked, "so we can order our food here and then take it outside right? Or, is there table service out there?" To which, this little brat rolled her eyes, sighed, and simply answered "NO." Startled by her blatant rudeness, I thought I'd give her the benefit of a doubt and asked again, "so are you saying we need to wait outside and a waiter will be out there?" Her response: "[eyeroll then another sigh] YEAH." At which point she just stood there staring at me as if her half-assed explanation had effectively ended any further need for conversation. Needless to say, we left without ordering and ended up at a great place called "Local Flavor" down the street. Not sure where this girl gets her chip on her shoulder from, but management should really take a look at their hiring practices if this socially deficient girl is their idea of a good customer service representative.
(1)HM M.
I tried this place late on a Monday morning. It was so packed, I had to park on a side street. It was just me so I decided to get take out so as to not take up a table (I hate counter seating). I can only imagine how busy they are on a weekend morning! The hostess offered me coffee while I waited to put in my order. I ordered 1 scrambled egg, bacon, home fries, and rye toast. The egg was perfectly scrambled, the bacon thicker and less fatty than most places offer, and the toast wasn't overcooked. The home fries were exceptionally good. They added in sautéed onions and they were just fantastic. The coffee was really good too, better than the typical Starbucks or Dunkin. I'd go back!
(5)Doug M.
Been coming here for years -had breakfast yesterday. Surprised we got a table right away @10 but hey maybe it was our lucky day. Total disappointment - new owners - not great - not to mention now cash only - guess I know where their heads are at - reminds me of a Steve Miller song - "Take the Money & Run" - Won't be going back.
(1)Josh G.
I've never experienced worse service than I did at Brewster Coffee Shop. This place has somewhat of a monopoly due to the location and being the only traditional sit-down breakfast place around. The food is decent but expect awful service. We showed up around 9:30 and the restaurant was about 50% full. There were about 3 other parties of 2-4 waiting to be seated as well. It wasn't obvious where the hostess was when we walked in and after waiting for a few minutes and still not seeing anyone I asked a waitress who I should see to get on the waiting list and her answer was "wait over there, I have no idea what is going on right now". That was the first bad sign. I did find the hostess and get my name added to the list and she asked us to stand in an area outside the door so the crowd would not block the walkways in the restaurant. We went and stood exactly where she asked us to and did not move. After everyone else that was waiting when we showed up were seated I started to question why we were not. I went up to the hostess and asked and she had crossed my name off the list with a "NS (No Show)". When I asked her why I was crossed off the list she said she called my name and no one showed up. I continued to explain to her that we were standing exactly where she asked us to and we did not see or hear her call our name. Instead of apologizing and trying to accommodate us immediately she continued to argue with me over whether she called the name or not. At that point I decided that this was not the type of place that I want to give my hard earned money to and you shouldn't either. Stay far away! Jomama's down the street are much friendlier and offer a decent assortment of breakfast sandwiches and coffee.
(1)Jael G.
Good good really friendly. Little more than I expected but big portions and good food.
(4)Field S.
ordered (and paid for) an egg sandwich for take out. As we drove away and I opened my order and all I got was an english muffin! No egg. The grill staff must have been asleep at the wheel (and they didn't seem that busy).
(1)Ela L.
Yummy multiple offering of eggs benedict styles and whole cranberry pancakes were delish. Menu sure to please all. One of few on 6A to offer breakfast if you didn't want a franchise. Looks small from the outside but they seat many on a sunny day. Parking tricky but tables rotated pretty fast so not too long of a wait. No hostess station and several points to enter so no sense of order. We had to hunt hostess down to get our names on the list and she was friendly. They did offer coffee service to those waiting - that was a nice touch and made the wait go faster. Accommodated dogs outside at tables. We didn't have kids but there was plenty of green space for them to wait.
(3)Chris P.
Food is fairly decent. Wait staff needs a lot of work. No knowledge of the menu items and very slow.
(3)Daria K.
It's a cute place, but I have some things to get off my chest. I will preface this review by saying that some things on the menu are excellent for the cape. I like their eggs Benedict, and have been in the company of others who have thoroughly enjoyed their meal. If you come here, eat outside. The inside is blinding and looks like an easter egg covered in the remnants of a holiday ornament factory that has exploded. I have two huge complaints. The first is the revolting omelettes that are actually pre-prepared egg pancakes stuffed with raw vegetables. I ordered a feta and onion omelet and was disgusted when I could pull the whole thing apart to find it more of an egg crepe stuffed with RAW RED onions. I refused to eat it. How long have these eggs been sitting around for? Why can't you cook them to order? The second complaint, and the main reason I get the chills whenever I think about going here, is the staff. I was eating one morning with my mother when I overheard the staff critiquing my appearance and naming the physical characteristics about me they didn't like. I was furious. They were less than 10 feet away and I heard every word, as did other people in the restaurant. We left upset, I felt betrayed. We've been living in this neighborhood for over 15 years, and have been supporting this place throughout that time and throughout owner turnovers. It's sad, really.

Cute coffee and breakfast spot in Brewster. The healthy tomato basil egg white omelet is great- very fresh and loaded with tomatoes and white cheese. The home fries are nicely seasoned. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is what you expect to have on the Cape.

We (my husband, 14 month old and myself) went here this morning for breakfast. We sat down right away, waited about 10 minutes to place a drink order. Finally got our coffee, poured in milk and it was curdled. Waitress came to take our food order- we ordered and asked for new coffee. The waitress did not even apologize for the spoiled milk. Waited about 30 minutes for new coffees- when I had had enough and asked another waitress for new coffee. She brought them over in 2 minutes. About ten minutes after we had gotten our new coffees the original waitress brought over the new coffee we originally asked her for. At this point we still have not gotten our breakfast order. While waiting, we watched another party sit down about 20 minutes after us who also experienced spoiled milk for their coffee get their food. After waiting an hour for our food we got up and left. Food never came. We were very disappointed.

SO glad we stopped here for a late breakfast before heading to the beach. It was about noontime but 3 of us had breakfast items while my daughter was thrilled with (and loved!) her hot dog and fries. I think they were homemade fries. I had the Popeye's omelet.. amazingly fresh spinach with cheddar cheese and i added mushrooms which were so fresh and tasty. My son had the 2 fer.. poached eggs with blueberry pancakes... they were so thick and fluffy and loaded with berries! Hubby had ham, eggs, and hash browns, all of which was delish. Their homemade hash brown potatoes are awesome. Not overpriced as many Cape places can be, and the outdoor dining was perfect on a nice day. They also have a very nice indoor dining area, including stools at the counter. Don't miss the BCS while in Brewster!

Not far from Ocean's Edge is a family diner named Brewster Coffee Shop. I'll let you guess where it's located. The place is small, or rather quaint. There's not much for decorations unless you call the homestyle fashionable. But if it's breakfast you desire, then you've come to the right place. They've got most breakfast dishes from various omelets to waffles. There's really nothing you can not get from Brewster's Coffee Shop. Even the high school teens that are working as the cooks and waitstaff are chripy for an early morning. I knocked off 1 star for not having Tobasco hot sauce. That's like not having Heinz for ketchup. Great for kids, large groups and the bridal party the morning after. Enjoy!!

Best Belgian waffles I'm town

AWESOME breakfast and really cheap. Surprisingly fast on a Sunday. Not greasy. Very friendly. Nice outdoor seating at picnic tables. If you wanna keep it in the Orleans/Brewster area, then this place is the winner. The only place that I'd rate higher is Grumpy's down 6A, but that place always has a massive line and a 30 minute wait.

Only question to ask is what happened between the summer of 2013 and 2014? This place went from one of my favorites where we'd have breakfast 3-4 times a week to a place I'd never go back. They must have changed ownership. Anyway first turn off is that they do not take credit cards anymore instead they direct you to an ATM. Based on the number of people I saw turn and walk away because they didn't have cash my guess is their sales are down. Plus any restaurant that doesn't take debit/credit cards is silly. Its been well proven the average ticket is 20% higher when you accept cards than when you don't so if you think you are increasing profitability by not taking them you're so wrong. Second, they have a bunch of people running around but very little gets done, very disorganized. Finally the food. Very average at best. Between the five of us we had a variety of items and all were so, so, no creativity. The corned beef hash came out of a can, probably Hormel, my waffle was flat, luke warm and tasteless French toast was just kinda blah, not good not terrible just very boring. The best thing was the fruit bowl. Our waitress was very nice and attentive so that was a plus. All in all a big drop in quality and enjoyment based on years past. Will have to find a new breakfast place in Brewster.

OK diner, nothing special although you can sit outside which is pleasant enough, although not necessarily when the gas station is being refuelled across the road! Usual coffee you get in these establishments: weak and relatively tasteless. Kids enjoyed their chic chip pancakes. Can't help thinking that servers in the Cape are bored of their jobs by this time of the summer which would explain the lacklustre service.

Coffee here is no good. Taste watered down. I only went once so it might have been a bad batch but when your business is called the coffee shop there shouldn't be a bad batch. I can't comment on the breakfast. I only got coffee.

The onions in my omelet were raw (and red... unsual) and the fruit salad had that gross taste of having sat and all the favors melded together - I hate that! Otherwise the coffee and home fries were good - as was the service. It's a cute place, too. I wouldn't make a point to go back but it filled my belly just fine...

For some reason, good breakfast joints are hard to come by on the Cape. This is an exception. On the side of the road, the number of cars outside at 10am testify to the popularity of the place. Only had a limited time so had egg, cheese and bacon on bagel which was exactly what the doctor ordered. Coffee, as others have noted, was only meh. That said, it hit the spot and I will probably go back.

I don't understand why is everyone so infatuated with this place. It's the usual greasy diner. I ordered waffles and coffee for takeout. The waffles were mushy, and they had forgotten to put the maple syrup in the box. The coffee had a huge amount of crud at the bottom of the cup! You gotta try really hard to screw it up so big! Never coming back here.

What a cute place for a countryside lunch. After coming off the Brewster exit, it was one of the first places to grab a bite. The menu is heavy on the breakfast options. Since it was lunch time we went with the sandwich section. I chose the Fish Taco. This was a large burrito style wrap with fried cod, coleslaw and cheese. A great combination! Fiance had the buffalo chicken wrap. Another solid choice. The fries were hand cut but so greasy they had no crisp. Service was laid back. The young guy we had made his rounds frequently checking in even though we were outside. If you are staying in the area try this place for breakfast or lunch. They have several picnic tables outside also.

Lighten up folks... it's breakfast for Gods sakes... I thought this place was great for breakfast, better than other places I have been to out on the Cape and not has costly as most places out here. I had the Cranberry Pancakes to and they were excellent... the short stack was just enough for a not too heavy breakfast and the coffee was good too... Usually full parking lots are a good sign that the place is good... and this place had a full parking lot...

PROS:Food Specials, eggs, pancakes, baked goods, staff, service Cons: Size, wait times in peak times (par for the course), coffee is awful Very solid breakfast for the Cape. That being said, if this place were in my area I would probably frequent it anyway. Solid food, we had the special today, banana bread french toast. It was insanely good. Probably in the top 5 french toasts I have had. The breakfast burrito was solid as well. Nothing that stood out, but solid and dependable. The regular french toast the kids had was nothing special and a bit soggy for my tastes. Stick with the specials or the pancakes/eggs here and you will have a great meal. All the baked goods looked great. The service is very friendly and good here. For a coffee shop, however, their regular coffee should be good. It is not. It was watered down and tasteless. I didn't have a specialty coffee or anything so I cannot comment there. The coffee was terrible now that I think about it. VERY forgettable. I would never come to this COFFEE shop for their COFFEE. Go figure. And I am no coffee snot, believe me. They often will have entertainment outside. Last year they had a juggler that the kids loved! I cannot figure out why it is so hard to find good breakfast on the cape. This place shines as one of the few I can count on 1 hand of places to go in the area. It is worth the visit. Staff is wonderful and the food is solid. We have vacationed at the Cape 4-5X a year for the past 10 years and we have been all over the place in search of good food and breakfast spots. You have to understand the area and understand that a 4-5 Star rating for cuisine on the cape is not the same as 4-5 Star in major metros, Silicon Valley Etc.

Yum! Brewster Coffee Shop really hit the spot for me and a few friends on Memorial Day. Even on Memorial Day - not a long wait for brunch around 11am, although it was definitely busy. they have a nice outdoor seating area and the omelets were excellent. iced coffee left a little to be desired... it took a LOT of milk and sugar to make it drinkable.

Drove all the way from Orleans for a good breakfast and that's what we got! it was totally worth it. We sat outside even though it was raining, and got the cranberry waffles and pancakes. The waffles was OK, the pancakes pretty good! Based on feedback, the coffee was not good.. I'd recommend this place for the food.

One of our favorite places anywhere to have breakfast. The cappuccinos and lattes are delish. The blueberry pancakes are unsurpassed. The muffins are perfection. It's lovely to sit outside when the weather is nice. And of course the staff is wonderful too!
