We were in Boston for a few days and stumbled upon the street festival. We went back every night for 3 nights to get the Cannoli's and they were the best we ever had. We actually thought it was the same "mike" from Mike's bakery but it was not and found that out after going there the next day to get more. They were not the same, so we went back to the stand, only to find out it was "mike" from East Boston....Wow!! We are going to order some so that we can share it with friends! What a great guy and the young girl who let me take a picture of her shirt so I could remember them!!! Thank you!!!

Cucchiello's is the real deal and has the best bread in Boston, hands down. I'm not just saying that either, best in Boston means the absolute best: that includes when I pit it against my favorite bakeries in the North End. Their Italian loaves are what Italian bread should be: soft like a down pillow, a cloud or maybe a puppy, on the inside; but crunchy to the point where it can be used as a weapon to bludgeon anyone who might try to steal it, on the outside. Get there early though, if you're looking for something specific, they do sell out of stuff as I do believe they supply some of the finer Italian restaurants in the area. Pick yourself up a little sweet while you're there too. After all, you deserve it, and even if you don't, just tell yourself that.

Cucciello's is totally authentic. Although it looks big from the outside, there's only a small case inside that houses loads of different delicious-looking sweets, because the rest of the place is filled with freshly-baked bread, people making freshly-baked bread, or creating other fresh things. I know this because they are right there out in the open, taking up most of the building aside from the counter. I got a slice of cheese pizza to-go, and luckily decided to throw in a loaf of fresh bread too. The woman at the counter was awesome, and you know she is probably a Cucchiello and has worked there forever. Because I got the pizza wrapped, by the time I got to eat it, it was kind of a greasy mess. The woman did tell me that most people just eat it walking out of the store (there's no place to eat inside). That probably would have been better, but it was still decent. This isn't NY pizza - it's bakery square pizza. The bread however, is to die for. And cheap. So go! The rice balls come out when the weather gets cooler, so I hope I can make it back for that.

It was sad to see that on the recent GQ Magazine lists of greatest resteraunt's in America, some OTHER pizza place from Boston made it for it's sicilian slice, and Cucchiello's didn't. This is hands down the best pizza in Boston, it's a gem of a place. It's not as well known as other places because the advertisment budget is basically ZERO. It's a little bit odd to get to if you're driving and aren't from around Eastie, and don't really know how to menipulate the road system... But let me tell you quality of food is just as good as it gets. This place is so OLD SCHOOL it's like walking into a time machine, they sell all sorts of amazing Italian Cookies and Breads, just like my grandma made. I can sit here and tell you how amazing the pizza is, or you can get there and see for yourself. The more you buy the better, when I go, I usually buy an entire tray, if it was up to me, I would eat this pizza everyday of my life, sadly, I moved from East Boston and Mass all together, but you bet your dollars that everytime I am near the East Coast, I will stop here. Even if I'm going to New York for a weekend, I will take a buss or a Delta Shuttle to Eastie just for this prized pizza. This is the last of the original sicilian slices, the cheeseless sicilian is East Boston's personal contribution to pizza civilization, and so long as I am around, and this place is around, there will be a movement to expand the fame of these slices of flavor perfection. The perfect place to get takeout, Cucciello's is my favorite spot for Pizza in East Boston.

Cute little bakery in East Boston just across from the on ramp to 1A. The pizza was good and the cookies we got were also very good. The selection was a little smaller than other bakeries, but the friendliness and quality can't be beat. Want fresh bread? GO HERE!

Cucchiello's has the best everything. From bread, to pastries, to pizza, to cookies. It's an old style authentic Italian bakery owned by the nicest people. Whenever I go back to Eastie I stop here and stock up on everything.
