While I have been here many MANY times over the past three years (and have a shirt to prove it), I'm not sure if the following review will be completely fair. If Roger Ebert had blacked out halfway through every movie he reviewed, he probably wouldn't have had that much credibility either. The food is so-so; there are stand-outs like the improved Buffalo Chicken Nachos that now come with Cool Ranch Doritos, but there are also a lot of bummers like the the over-salted Fried Pickles. The bar also doesn't have a complete liquor license, so the bartenders can only serve flavored liquor (my drunkard of a father was enraged by this little tidbit when he visited). Other than that, this college bar has the typical amenities: sports memorabilia cover the walls, televisions for the ol' "sports-watching", Big Buck Hunter (I know the man that is the legend who currently has the highest score), a pool table, a decent amount of board games and cards, Golden Tee Golf and a highly underutilized N64 near the front of the bar. What makes this bar great is hard to define but I guess a lazy yet competent answer is the ambience. Conor's (as we Huskies colloquially call it) is a bar that is much more than the sum of its parts. Barring a few off nights here and there, I can nearly always expect to have an awesome time with my friends, whether it's just shooting the shit, getting some dinner, playing some bingo, or alcohol-boarding my face with some Conor's Amber. There's a reason Conor's can get a line at noon and Our House East (the other college dive bar in the area) hasn't seen one before 1 am.

Love/hate relationship=much better than Punter's down the street, but still with serious detractions. Beer is limited but adequate, very limited liquor offerings. Food is iffy, doritos nachos and chicken tenders are the best options, but forgettable food at best. Service is slooooow, but this is the local college bar so it's often packed. There is decent space and it can have a good vibe. Prices aren't bad and the tbs usually have whatever game you want to watch.

I spent a lot of time here after class back in the day largely due to the proximity to campus. The place is pretty small inside and can get crowded, but it's always a friendly atmosphere and service is pretty decent for the price. The food is what you'd expect - typical bar food without a ton of variety, but it gets the job done. I didn't like that glasses were plastic - I thought that was a bit cheesy - but this is a college spot where glass all over the floor is probably a worse scenario.

Right across Huntington Avenue from Northeastern University, Conor Larkins is a "go to" bar for students, faculty, and staff at the University. They have a decent selection of beer and they have liquor, albeit a limited selection due to some licensing challenges caused by the City. What makes Conors stand out compared to other bars in the immediate area is the good food. Boneless wings are great, burgers are great, and the french fries are pretty good, too. It's a decent place to go whether it's for lunch, dinner, or drinks at 11 PM. For Boston, the place is also very reasonably priced and they usually have the local sports on the televisions. The decor here is typical pub decor with wooden tables and random stuff all over the walls.

Everything in my last review + 1 star for the food which is surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because it's a college bar, and you don't expect a lot. The nachos are made with Doritos. Who doesn't like that? Why didn't I think of that for when I make nachos at home?

Woohoo! Went here after leaving a bummer experience at nearby Wally's. Casual atmosphere. Lights were on so you could see each other and the plethora of BOARD GAMES available. Mario Kart was happening in the corner. Lots of 20 somethings varying from college to grad students in a seemingly clean, safe, cheerful, positive environment where you could very comfortably see and hear your company. It happened to not be super crowded, so it made the perfect evening. Would absolutely go back.

Pool, check! Reasonably priced beer, check! Big Buck Hunt, check! Good rowdy college crowd, check! Great spot for a night slugging them back.

When it comes to dive bars in Boston, I usually look no further than Connor Larkins. A while back my sister introduced me to Connors while she was in school and it has easily become one of my favorite places to pull up a seat by the bar and enjoy a nice cold beer. For a local college dive bar, I've always been impressed with the beer selection and prices here. They always seem to rotate in and keep a pretty good selection of different craft beers on draft (for example: Lagunitas, Sierra Navada, Goose Island) and also have a fair amount of bottles and cans to choose from as well (like Dale's Pale, Gansett and Allagash to name a few). I've also noticed that they change up their drink specials on a regular basis and offer different pitcher and shot specials as well. In the times I've been here, there is usually a pretty good amount of people grabbing drinks and food. Obviously when Northeastern is in session the bar can get pretty crowded since this is a popular spot for students (especially at night), so be prepared for a wait to get in / at the bar trying to grab a drink. Connors doesn't try to be anything more than what it is and that is why I love coming here for a couple of beers and to avoid paying crazy bar prices like other places in Boston. The atmosphere is fun and a great place to meet up with friends for drinks and even a bite to eat. Next time I'm in Boston, I certainly know where I'll be heading to.

So I've been attending Northeastern for almost four years now, and last night was my first time going to Conor's. This is crazy, because it even got onto a Thrillist list for 20 best college bars or something. Everyone I know has gone here accept me. I met a friend there after work. It's a much better and cleaner atmosphere than I expected. I thought it would be sticky and dark, but instead, I walk in and see people sipping on beers while working on laptops, and other groups eating sandwiches and fries. I'm so surprised this is a real place! I expected to give this place one or two stars, and it probably would have gotten four if the service wasn't so slow. It took about 30 minutes for the whole check process, which would be annoying if I needed to be somewhere. Overall, the prices are reasonable, it wasn't bad during the day, and I would definitely go back again. A lot better than expected!

College area bar with cheap drinks and fairly priced food. I had the steak tips with a salad appetizer that was served with French fries. It was delicious for a mid day brunch. However this is an enclosed bar in the underground of a building so no outside seating. All the tables are wooden. Their are plenty of TVs to watch almost any game. I recommend it.

I recently graduated, and I can't even describe how much I will miss this place...somewhere between the $10 pitchers (!!!!!!!) of beer and the buffalo style nachos, this place stole my heart. Sometimes it smelled, but I think air fresheners were installed because it got a lot better later in the semester. Overall would recommend.

OK college bar. Good music but people like to sit down and talk rather than dance, which is a lost opportunity since not all of the tables/booths were being used on what should've been a busy Saturday night. Went here for late night drinks and it wasn't too crowded. The bartenders were nice but the drinks were pretty weak...mostly ice. I was shocked to find 100s fruit flies (some dead and some alive) in the women's restroom. It covered every few inches of the space and considering that it's winter, most should already be dead by now. I added a picture for reference..obviously an infestation.

I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism demonstrated at this bar. I went to Northeastern so this place was my go to bar all through college and even post graduation. My friends and I have spent a ridiculous amount of money here over the years. Honestly, I loved this place, which is why I continued to go after graduation. My friends and I were told to leave the bar because a girl we were friends with in college no longer is dating one of the bartenders. The bartender started yelling at us to leave for no reason. The best part was that his two roommates were the "bouncers" and explained that no reason is needed for him to kick us out. If he didn't want us there, we must go. To me this is the most immature way a professional can act. Especially from a group of people who give the bar a bunch of business. I hope that the owner realizes this lack of professionalism and adjusts accordingly. It would be sad to never go there again, especially since it sponsors the SBS league my friends and I participate in.

Brilliant Pub! Superior service delivery by the staff: genuine, welcoming, laid back & fun place to escape from madness in the world. Allan's Pandora stations rule!!!!! Wicked good Guinness, and a proper selection of beers at the right price. Pool table, Buck Hunter, and sports on the flat screens. A charming, dark Irish pub at its finest with equally authentic food. Irresistible brunch that will leave your heart full and your soul satisfied. Tater tots, steak and cheese, nachos and burgers ~ you can't go wrong here. When it feels like home, then follow its path and you'll always be coming back for one more of the finest hours of your life.

Enjoy this place for what it is - a better version of a frat party. I go here with my softball team after games on Sundays and it serves as the perfect end to a weekend. Very friendly staff, good deals (we get buy 2, get 1 free on apps and always dig in), cheap pitchers of beer, and beer pong to help us get even more social. The spirit here is just really friendly, and it's the kind of basement bar that makes you happy about being a young person in Boston. Live it up (and put my name down for some pong!).

$10 pitchers of beer? Great food? Interesting crowd? I'm there. It is a very "college" bar given it's proximity to Northeastern, but a very decent one. I have been here for lunch and happy hour many times, and the service is always quick and the food is excellent. Their burgers are really great, as are their sandwich and soup lunch combos. Their apps are also pretty large, which is great when sharing with a group of people. It's a fun hangout after work or on the weekends, and the crowd watching is really entertaining, always a different mix of people. One of my top recommendations in the area!

Typical college bar. Quality food and drinks for reasonable prices. I've spent many week nights after class or meetings hanging out with fellow Northeastern students here. The pitchers are around $10, which is usually the reason we make our way to Conors. The burgers and nachos always come in big portions and won't disappoint. Just a heads up: if you're planning on going, make sure you try to get in before 9pm. Otherwise, you may have to wait in a line outside.

This is your typical college dive bar, not exactly the place to take your family or a date. That being said, this place is usually pretty fun and definitely worth the visit if you are a student at Northeastern. The beer is pretty well priced, you can get a pitcher for between $10 to about $20 depending on the beer you get. Budlight is usually 10, as is Connors beer, their own brew which isn't that bad. The food here is pretty good as well, the burgers are good and the Buffalo chicken nachos are delicious. The nachos are a kind of big so definitely split those if you get them. The atmosphere is a fun one. They have board games, and TVs all over the place so it's fun to go watch a game or just spend a tuesday night there with your friends. The waitresses and bartenders are nice people. The Bouncers are a little strict when it comes to capacity so you will often times find a long line outside even around 9 or 10. Biggest downside is that it is kind of dirty. The place is not kept so well and the bathrooms are pretty bad, it is what you would expect from a dive bar. Definitely a fun place for college students to meet your friends and hang out.

This is college bar, specifically Northeastern, so if you don't want to run into college students then this is not the place for you. Having said that, even if you're not a Northeastern student I'm sure you would enjoy it here. They have a pool table, waitresses, and a solid bar. There are $10 pitchers of rolling rock and bud select, and $12 pitchers of Budweiser. There are usually a few other pitcher and drink deals going on as well. The food is really good; the nachos are solid and the burgers are a good size too. You can also get tater tots as a side. It's a fun bar to hang out in and a good place to talk with a lot of cool people.

Conor's is your typical dirty, college, sports bar. The beers are cheap. They always have a version of some $3 tall boy, and some $3 special shot. I like to come here to watch the games, because its full of people who ALSO want to watch the games. They have pool, deer hunter, and beer pong tournaments. The food is tasty, surprisingly! Tuesday night Bingo, they'll play until 5 or 6 different people have won Bingo, receiving a $10 gift card each. It closes at 1 am, so last call is around 12:30, too early for me.

Good food, good drinks! Definitely a college bar (Northeastern). Typically very busy in the evenings. They have board games you can play at your table, TV's for sporting events. Fun, relaxed casual place to meet friends after work/class!

  • Harlan K.

As the closest watering hole for the Northeastern crowd, this place is usually relatively full of kids drinking away the stress from 8 PM onwards. It has a lovely charm though. If you ask they'll let you play the n64 on the tv by the bar or any of the board games they have around. Cheap pitchers (for Boston) and the shot ski make this perfect for the college crowd, and the food isn't half bad either.

**3.5** Conor's is the place all Northeastern students go to drink heavily after any sort of school-related accomplishment. Whether you're here after your Capstone presentation, final lab practical, pointless skill check, or on a Tuesday at noon between classes and work, Conor's will welcome you (with a line down to BHOP and a bouncer manning the door). This is the daytime version of Our House, which means all of the Northeastern Elite are present, and they're all inappropriately daydrunk. The only difference is that when they finally decide to leave (or get kicked out), they're forced to stumble home in broad daylight rather than in the comfort of an unlit Gainsborough Street at 2am. The service isn't particularly good. If you want a drink or something to eat, you hafta do all the heavy lifting yourself. Meandering through the crowd to get your next beer can be a pain in the ass, especially when there are a few undesirables amongst them. Prices are cheap, though. Beers range from $2-6, pitchers from $8-14ish and they've got a few tasty IPAs which is OK in my book. Call it poor judgement but their food is pretty good. Over the past 5 years, I've only had the buffalo chicken nachos, mushroom burger and chicken pesto sandwich, none of which have left me unsatisfied. Then again, it's hard to disappoint a girl who's been awake for 6 hours and has only consumed coffee and beer. Conor's is pretty solid for what it is - a basement dive bar with no view of the outside world in which it's appropriate to get hammered at any hour of the day. However, I'm absolutely baffled when I see non-Northeasterners in there. I always wonder, "What the hell led you to this place?" Then I usually verbalize my thoughts, to which I'm informed that they attended northeastern back in their day, and all makes sense in the world again. Other things to note: -Closes at 1am -Has a pool table -Has 3-5 flatscreens that are locked on a game or Sportscenter (word) -Only 1 bathroom per gender and there's usually a line

Visited a friend this past weekend at Northeastern University and we went to Conor Larkin's for a quick bite and for a few drinks. The Buffalo Chicken nachos were amaaaaaazing and definitely the only reason I would go back to Conor's. The mac and cheese was also spot on. The pitchers of beer were relatively cheap as well. I am docking 2 stars because even though this place is a typical college bar, the service was awful. We came on a friday around 5pm and even though it wasn't overly crowded we had to flag the waitress down multiple times before we were able to order anything. Took way more effort than was necessary. All in all, its a good place for some pretty decent food and some beers with friends.

The bud light pitchers were just upped to $10 :( but I'm pretty sure you can still get rolling rock for $8. Even with the extra 2 bucks I still love Conor's. It's literally a 4 minute walk from my apartment and I love that no matter when I go there I will see someone I know. It is definitely my favorite close-to-Northeastern spot and I love that I can get my competition on with trivia nights on Tuesdays or playing quarters/card games/flip cup (have I really played flip cup at conor's??). I love that you can get away with wearing your pajamas (I used to come here after working at a gym with my staff shirt on), or you can wear some sort of fancy getup if you're pregaming. The staff is really laid back and the food is surprisingly great! I've pretty much loved all the food I ordered and after one day of especially heavy drinking I ordered a burger that I STILL refer to as "the best burger I ever ate". But I may have had my beer goggles on...

Who knew that I would be escorted into Conor's for lunch. (Yes, I said lunch.) That means I did not order beer, it was still daylight outside and the place was pretty much empty. Lunch at Conor's is such a rare occasion, that the owner/manager was even waiting on tables. Reasons why I will return to Conor's for lunch: 1- Their menu is double sided, huge and has anything you might be craving. I ordered the turkey burger- and it was hella good. (Yes, I said hella good). I was able to replace fries with a tossed salad, and the food came out 10 minutes after we ordered. 2- When ordering water at Conor's, they don't just fill your water glasses- they bring you a pitcher. It may be a strategy so the waiter can ignore our table, but it's a strategy that my fish-like self very much enjoys. 3- My friend, to the manager asks, which sandwich is your favorite? Without thinking- the manager says the Reuben. My friend orders and loves it. Great recommendations earn stars in my book. 4- Beer is available to accompany my lunch. What else do I need to say? Can't believe that I happily ate a late-lunch at one of the infamous Northeastern bars- but hella glad I did. (Yes, I just misused the word hella so I could say it one more time before the end of my review.)

Beer selection is solid, service is okay. Their sliders taste like regret.

You'd never know it from the outside, but Conor's serves up some pretty great burgers and fries. I go with the Guinness: a big juicy patty on a fat onion bun with caramelized onions and melty American cheese. Legendary. Keep it interesting with a seasonal beer and if you come around the noon hour, most of the campus kids are still sleeping and you'll be in and out in an hour.

eh. mediocre at best. sometimes there are bugs. sometimes it's packed with SUPER annoying NEU kids. lots of hot messes. I'll go here during the day for a quick beer or study break, but not if i can help it. service is either really good or really bad, same with the draft beers. they do have really interesting honey mustard though.

Location: Across the street from Northeastern University on Huntington Avenue. I have been coming here since I tuned 21. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere provides for lively patrons. Come in here to play games like quarters or other table drinking games. It is hard to believe from a little campus bar, but they serve very good food. -Buffalo Chicken Nachos are as good as they sounds or better -Definitely give the Guinness burger a shot, you will not regret it -For a cheap option go with the chili - inexpensive but delicious none the less Fries come with their burgers and are some of the best i have had in Boston. Consider asking for gravy on them. I usually frequent Connor's for Tuesday night trivia and the place gets packed. On Tuesday's, you will also find a lot of the fraternity and sorority people around (sometimes a line will form), Lines are also pretty common on Thursday nights as well. If you are into pool they have a billiards table that gets frequent use for $1 per game. Keep in mind that Connor's does not have a full liquor license (limiting their selection of hard alcohol and causing them to close each night at 1AM), but they have a great beer selection ($8 Bud Light pitchers). This is a great place to go grab a drink after class or to start your night but i wouldn't recommend it for an entire night out.

Ordered a pitcher of an IPA I am incredibly familiar with considering it is my top beer preference. What I drank was unfortunately a watered down version of it, it actually tasted like a bud light. Grabbed a quesadilla which tasted like burnt oil and had MINIMAL cheese, gooey peppers and a couple leaves of spinach and the mushrooms which were listed on the menu was nonexistent. The sour cream was questionable and the salsa was too water based as well...Moral of the story is this place is probably only still open due to the stressed out and thirsty Northeastern students and the bar is lucky to be located in close proximity to the campus. I would recommend sticking with cheap beer if you want a pitcher or to be safe just grab an individual beer to avoid it getting watered down. Such a waste of 30 bucks.

I took the lady here for food before a ballgame, and was not disappointed. Decent beer selection; VERY good food for a bar (burgers were good). So long as you don't mind a little noise (it is very much a college bar), this is a good take. Having only tried this place once, I do not know how crowded it gets during the school year - so take my Thursday-night-at-5:00-in-June review with a grain of salt.

Conor's is a great neighborhood bar. The staff is wonderful and the beer is cheap :) been coming here for years and always feel welcome when we come back. It's a great place to hang out with you're friends!

This was my "go to" place for a low key night out while I went to Northeastern. The place can get noisy and packed, especially during sporting events, but its always a good time. Its never loud enough where you can't hear the people at your table -unless the team you're rooting for is winning...or losing. The bartenders and staff have always been friendly, and the beer selection is extensive. The food is pretty great as well. I've seen Conors more packed on weeknights than weekends on occasion, but its definitely a good pick.

I've been there couple time to have a drink at the bar. They have very convenient location next to NEU and Symphony. They have mediocre food and drinks, they service is not flattering, so my friends and I avoid that place. One night, couple days ago I was craving for a cheeseburger and I ordered it from the Conor's. When I came to pick up my food it was not ready and I came right in time they asked me to come at. When i got my burger and came home I wanted to cry, it was bun and BURNED bun, nothing else, no cheese, no tomato, nothing! fries were soaked in oil and I could not eat it, had to trash it all!!! I will never be back, avoid this place! SUCKS big time

I live extremely close to this place, but it took me many years to try it out. I guess I had never gone in because of the appearance on the outside. I'm not a student, so I didn't know anyone to ask who had been there. Five years after I moved to the neighborhood, I tried this out because I had a Living Social Deal. I was sold. I went on a weekend afternoon with a friend and had a fantastic meal. The best part about it was the large portions. I got the veggie burger and fries, and my friend got chicken fingers. We also shared an order of onion rings. My food was outstanding. I really like the veggie burgers here, and they're super hearty and large. I've been back a handful of times for take-out, which I prefer. The food is always fresh and hot, and they always get it right when I modify. One picks up their take-out order from the bartender, who I will tip even when I get my food to-go. This place is super friendly to vegetarians, I think they have a few items with mushrooms, which don't interest me, but most veggies do. I just stick with the veggie burger, fries, and onion rings. Soooo good. The menu has lots of cool goodies on it, I think most people could find something they like here. Don't be afraid of the outside. Sure, it looks a 'lil sketchy, and it's not fancy inside, but it's a cool place. Check it out.

This is a great spot to hang out, watch sports, eat, have a group meeting, catch up with friends, drink, and socialize. And everything else. The atmosphere is very welcoming when you walk in, and you can almost always grab a table during the day. It's filled with Boston memorabilia and the service is unintimidating. Prices are great, you can get a burger, fries, and a huge Boston Lager or two for pretty cheap. They also have $8 pitchers, $10 for Bud Light, and a million TV's. This is a venue that you love to love, and will almost always find people at.

Maybe I fell in love with the $15 Sam Adams pitcher, or maybe I wasn't in the mood for dressing up and going to a nice place, but I liked it here. It's not fancy by any means... Super college-y, but I liked that, because I haven't had that experience at my school, and I usually go to bars less frequented by people my age. The music was good, and the bartenders were friendly. The bathroom was pretty clean, too. Oh, and for the girls, this place was swarming with guys! It honestly was like a 5:1 guy-to-girl ratio, and it stayed like that pretty much all night. And they weren't gross, "fuck yeah let's get wasted" frat dudes, either-- or maybe they didn't seem it. I'd give it four stars, but they don't have a full bar. I'm a beer kind of gal, but I also appreciate a full bar. Oh well, at least they have Jager!

Definitely my favorite Northeastern Bar. Cheap pitchers. Great place to watch a game or just grab drinks with friends. Pretty decent bar food- love the turkey burger, which is pretty rare to find in general. Bomb onion rings. Awesome appetizers. My only complaint is the service- god awful.

Conor's you are awesome. Trivia night was a blast*. Granted I was certainly half in the bag walking in, but you sure seemed like my type of place*. Cheap beers a plenty and a copious amount of shots. You made me happy*. You made my friends happy*. I'll be back. (*I think)

This is a great campus bar that is affordable for students and has lots of personality! There are always a good amount of people there on weeknights, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Besides great and affordable drinks, the food is also really good- great bar food like wings, burgers, fries, etc. I love how Connor's will host events where the money goes to a good cause! I would highly recommend this bar for a group of friends looking to have a good, relaxing time.

So this place is so convenient to go to while I live near Northeastern. The bartender Matty P always takes care of me and my friends, the beers are reasonable and a decent selection. For watching a game or just chatting with friends this place is great. On St. Patrick's day the line gets ridiculous and sometimes on Tuesday night trivia. Bonus: Their burgers are awesome also.

Conor Larkin's is a cool place to grab a burger and some beers. It is nothing fancy, a little grimy and absolutely a college bar. They are a browns backers bar on Sundays. They have mixed drinks but they are really, really strong. Not always a bad thing but it tasted almost like straight vodka. The beers on tap are good and the have $10 Bud pitchers and $8 rolling rock. On Saturday and Sundays they have a pajama brunch which I have not been to but was intrigued. We ordered some potato skins and a big boy burger. We shared both and they where delicious.

I realllllllllyyyy like the food here. I had a chicken sandwhich (forgot which one) and the shepard's pie. Both were outstanding. The staff is fun and quick to serve you. I've never been here late at night--may not like it as much, as it's close to the college scene.

Connor Larkin's Grill & Tap is a worn wooden gem stashed away inside the Northeastern campus. With cheap beers and a large open layout, this bar can aim to please nearly any beer drinker. Ten o'clock the Sunday night I visited, the dregs of bar-goers were hugging the bartop in the back of Connor's. Aside from the cackle of laptop wielding broads in the back corner, the scene was nearly all college bro-dudes (patriot and red sox attire included). My two overly classless pitchers of Sam's Octoberfest were $17. There is little to complain about. With an atmosphere that one normally associates with Boston bars, without anything really original, Connor's does glassed malt trends a sweet justice.

Conor's is ok. I like going there because it's close. It's full of Northeastern students (which I am one of) since it's right on campus.Good for a night when you don't feel like doing anything too exciting. Or it's below zero and you don't feel like walking to Boylston. Cheap pitchers for $8, and the food is decent. They stop serving food at 10:30 and for some reason they close at 1. If you get there any later than 12:30 you won't be let in. Go here if you're close and there's nothing else to do, but otherwise I wouldn't make the trip. Once I move away from Northeastern I probably won't return.

If Conors was a person, it would be the ex you keep accidentally hooking up with years after you split up who you never really stopped loving, but you grew apart. At least that's how it feels to an NU alum who hasn't moved to the burbs yet. Conors is a great spot - I go back at least every couple months. Best feature is the owners/staff - after all, I can drink Bud Light anywhere - but those guys are friendly and down to earth, and I still feel like I belong there even though a good chunk of the patrons were born during the Clinton administration. Wardrobe-wise, you can get away with anything at Conors. These days I tend to make it an after-work spot, but when I was in school I'd go in ripped jeans and a hoodie after class, and the next evening I'd be in a club-worthy dress pre-gaming before a night out. Anything goes, as long as you have your drinking shoes on.

I've been going to Conor Larkin's (or "The Lark" as we call it) since it opened (used to be a place called "Hubbs") back in 2002. The food is great and the selection of beers is good, bringing in a college-aged clientele (what would you expect from any bar/restaurant basically located in the middle of a college campus). In any event, I've had countless fun times at the Lark, and I'd recommend it to anyone; they're even our official kick-off bar of the annual Husky Alumni Bar Crawl ( joerib.com/nu )! The owners are great guys, and the bar is perfect for a quick bite to eat, a pint before/after class, settling in to watch a game, or pre-gaming before a night out downtown!

Read the reviews pretty carefully before you come here. First, notice most customers are here because of the location, that is, it's right across the street from Northeastern's main campus. It's not good enough that anyone from another part of town would make a point of coming here, but it is very convenient for people from NU. Second, most people are here because the pitcher prices are low. Again, that means if you are not interested in cheap pitchers, read carefully to find out if there's any other reason to come here. The food is edible and greasy in a way that would satisfy you if you were drunk. That is not my definition of good food. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, a friend killed a roach right on the table where she was eating. They do not have a full liquor license, but the halfway kind that limits them to selling beer and wine, cordials and liqueurs, which for some reason means they can sell flavored vodka but very few other distilled spirits. No gin or whiskey. Because they do not have a full bar, they are not knowledgeable cocktail mixers, so even if you do have a drink in mind for which the bar has the ingredients, you would be WELL ADVISED to stick to the beer and wine. Avoid challenging the bar with orders for martinis or moscow mules and so forth which you will live to regret. There is a pretty extensive menu of beers in bottles and on tap, that's the way to go here. The service is fine and friendly.

Like dirty dive bars? Me too. That's why I like Conor Larkin's. It's dirty, really dirty. Stick-to-the-floor dirty. The Bud Light drafts are $3, they carry Shmirnoff Ice, and they have a pool table. Conor Larkin's is also conveniently located across the street from Dodge Hall at Northeastern. So if you're in school there, it's the perfect spot to blow off steam and not worry about running into professors. However, you may run into an undergrad with a fake ID or two....

Came down to Boston for a couple days and wanted to get good and drunk the second night, so I hit Conor's on a Wednesday and it was pretty sweet. The atmosphere is great, it's got the perfect feel of a college bar. The people in there are great too. Even in the summer on an off night, still some cool people to hang out with, and those tall Sam Adams went down pretty smooth all night long. I didn't try any of the food, but apparently it's good as well. This place made the night for me in Boston, and I wouldn't hesitate to visit again on another trip to Beantown!

"ZOMG TEH CONORS IS ON ZE NORTHEASTERN CAMPUS AND ITZ FILLED WILL COLLEGE STUDENTS" (I think that is what Conors was trying to get at) In a city that lacks cheep beer, the place delivers. As a Northeastern Student I have spent many after exam binges at Conors. My favorite being when 15 of us opened the place after a Concrete Design Exam that we wanted to forget in the worst way. We drank some pitchers of Bud, ate some food, and watch the Sand Lot with the bartenders. Back to the food. This is seriously underrated. They have great hand cut fires and their grilled chicken sandwich and ruben are my go to dishes on the menu. Minus one start for a Guinness tap that has a little too much pressure and for the feeling of drinking in someones basement.

The Lady is a very big fan of the Cleveland Browns, and this is the home of the Boston area "Browns Backers". All season we've planned to go and check it out, so we finally did when the Steelers played the Browns on December 6th. The good news was that we met up with the other Browns backers at the bar and the Lady got to discuss the finer parts of being from Ohio. The bad news was that this was a bar nearby Northeastern on a Thursday night. From the moment I walked in last Thursday night I felt like Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon - "I'm getting too old for this shit." Seating was every man for himself and all the larger groups pulled extra chairs to their tables, leaving several tables without any chairs. We ended up sitting at the bar, which was closer to the game anyway. An A.J. Soprano look alike started giving the Cleveland fans trouble, like the trouble he will likely encounter within his own liver later in life. I've never seen someone thrown out of a bar for being drunk before 7:30 pm before this night. The food was good and the beer was cheap. The cheese fries were the best thing we ordered - large sized order and bonus points for being hand cut. One of the bartenders was a little over zealous, constantly coming to our and saying "You good? You good?" while making a Hawaiian hang-loose type hand gesture. Weather permitting we're heading there on Sunday to check out the Browns game. The other fans said there is not one other person in the bar other than them on Sundays, so it will likely be a more pleasant experience.

Meh! Let me put it this way. I currently live about two minutes from Conors and I have been there twice in the past year. Once, when I was lured under false pretenses of trivia, the second time when it was my friend's birthday. Two stars for cheap beer and being able to stumble home quickly. Negative three stars for the northeastern athlete/athlete hangers-on crowd-- but if that's how you roll, you'll be in good company. I see them enough in class.

Shut up, Conors. Seriously. This place is way too crowded, and I just don't get it. They close at like, 1230, their food isn't any good, and you can't even hear the guy at Trivia. The pool table gets in the way of everything, and the bathrooms are gross. Now I'm seeing a lot of reviews that say they have good food, so I'll explain why I think they don't (it's actually also a reflection on the service). I was in there on like, a Sunday night with a couple of friends, and I ordered the steak tips with teriyaki (as opposed to the house sauce or something). I tried one of them, and decided that I definitely didn't like the sauce, so I pointed out the mistake to the waitress. She huffed and puffed all the way back to the bar, where they apparently just dumped teriyaki sauce on top of what was already there and dropped it back in front of me. Really? Oh, also: please explain to me how they get away with their weekly beer pong tournaments. I thought those were illegal in MA...

Worst place ever. I didn't even go at peak time (6pm) and it was terrible. I went here to say goodbye to some friends so our waitress had already taken their order. She was good at getting pitchers but bad at ever coming back. She came after four of us were staring at a menu for twenty minutes. Twenty minutes after that, we got the coldest most disgusting nachos I've ever had. Words can't describe how bad these were. I've heard they have good grilled cheese but for $9 with just cheese, salsa, and nasty looking sour cream, I'd like it to be even slightly warm. It was cold like it had been made four hours before. The sour cream was squirted on like it was liquid. I was just appalled. Then we had to wait forever for the check. We started looking for her way after we finished the nachos, and some in our group were staying, but I had to ask the guy who was carding to find her. Then I tried to search around the whole place and she was gone for another twenty minutes. I had to ask the other waitress who just said "Oh she's a really good waitress!!" Well, I don't care if she's good, I just want my check. It was seriously ridiculous. I don't think I'll be going back unless every bar in the area closes. Or I really want a grilled cheese.

Dont go here on a tuesday night, avoid it like the plague. Tuesday is so called "trivia night" and massive lines start forming around 9 30. If you somehow manage to make it in you wont be able to find any seating or anywhere to stand without being in the way. Pitchers are relatively cheap and the food is actually pretty good (Guinness Burger anyone?). A good place for a saturday afternoon or slow night with a bunch of friends but keep in mind they dont have a full liquor license and close at 1.

You don't go to a college bar and then complain about the college kids and cheap beer on Yelp. Maybe those complaining should stick to TGI Fridays and Applebees... they have a full bar there. Conor's is a great basement bar if you're looking for good food and cheap beer. The owners are great guys, and I used to be there at least 3-4 times a week when I was an undergrad. I can honestly say that their Guinness Burger is the best burger you'll find in the area. Thick and juicy, fresh roll, lots of toppings, great fries... classic and tasty. Their Chili-Cheese Fries (not on the menu) are very good, and cheap if you're only looking for a snack with a few friends. Chris' Chicken Dinner is also a very good option if you're looking for a whole meal of food. The veggies are fresh, and match the dish well. Their steak tips (and steak tip sub, and steak tip wrap) are either hit or miss (95% of the time, HIT) so I assume they just get bad cuts once in a while. Good sized portions. Drinking - Obviously this is a college bar. Don't be 'that guy' and order a bud light bottle. Stick to the pitchers. They have 6 (?) beers on tap, with a solid selection of bottles (Stella, Sam, Harpoon, Seasonals, etc...) and enough of a bar to take a shot or two (jager, so-co, etc...). If you're there before the evening rush, avoid Bud Heavy on draught. They don't clean the lines consistently, and more than once I've had some funky tasting Bud pitchers... stick with Bud Light if you're drinking light beer on tap.

Arguably the best on campus bar at NU, Conors has a couple things going for it. They serve food which is shockingly good, they're happy to put on Northeastern sports in the rare event that a game is televised, and the beer is massively underpriced when compared to the rest of the city. Sure, you're basically in a tiny basement with low ceilings and, inexplicably, a pool table in the middle of everything, but at least there's nobody from BU, and you can actually play games at the tables without getting harassed. Service is usually pretty good, although it gets a little slow if the place is full. The bartenders aren't outward jerks, which is nice, but they tend to miss you if you're behind the taps or other patrons. Try jumping up and down to distract them while they're making their 54th SoCo and lime of the night. Really, all you can ask from a college bar, particularly one so close to central campus. They do, however, close at 1, which can be annoying, but it's also nice that you can drop by between classes for a hamburger and a Bud.

Conor's is a sweet place. If you're tired of going to Punter's and being served by the same guy day in and day out, Conor's is a nice change in both atmosphere and quality. BL pitchers are $8, food is cheap, and there is a pretty nice variety of drinks. If you want it they'll have it. Tons of college kids go here, most of them Northeastern (understandably). Easy to find lots of Wentworth and Simmons people also. It's basically an entirely-college crowd.. not many people older than their 20s in here. Again, it's cheap and good. Easy to stumble home after a night of downing some booze. Just remember there are steps when you leave; one of my buddies forgot this and.. needless to say.. met the pavement with his chin. Oh, P.S. -- Speed up the trivia.. seriously. The trivia started at 10PM and went well into midnight and beyond. One question every 10-15 minutes...

Cheap pitchers and totally underrated food. A great staff, shotty little pool table and a golf video game make this place a haven for broke college kids like I was when I went to NU. If you're easily annoyed by college undergrads, this isn't the place for you, but it should be expected since it's right on Northeastern's campus.

    (4)
  • Jonathan P.

Average is as average does, and this is below average even for a college bar. Conor's is brighter and cleaner than Punters but that's not saying much. The beer selection is unimpressive and overpriced. The college clientele is unsavory at best. Disenfranchised alumni and obnoxious undergrads. If this is your scene, go for it. 2 stars for location.

A clean, well-lit sports bar with cheap beer and friendly service? Check, check, check, and check.

This is a college bar most of the time, but I go there on Sunday afternoons for NFL football. This is a Browns Backers place that always has a good crowd. The bartenders are friendly, and the food is great for a bar. As long as the Browns are not on, they will put your game on for you... the have the Sunday Ticket.

If you're a non-NU student and don't like it don't come. If you're Eurotrash and don't enjoy beer don't come. If you want a bar, that has cheap pitchers of beer, a good juke box, and really good food this is a great place to go and the best NU bar in my opinion. I give it 5 stars because it's "As good as it gets" when you are near Northeastern University. Used to go here all the time as a student and always try to go back when i'm in town for a basketball or hockey game. Staff has always been friendly. Complaints: Bring back $6 Busch Light pitchers. Bud is too high class. Bring back Rajin Fries (from the old Hubbs)

Conors is grimy, crowded, and small. It's a dump but I love it anyway. The serve is usually great and the bartenders are entertaining. Most nights one can expect to see the place packed with college kids; mostly because it is located across from Northeastern University. They mostly serve beer and they close pretty early for a bar because they do not have a full liquor license. The food is great and reasonable priced. Every time I go I always order the same meal a honey mustard chicken wrap with french fries....I have yet to be disappointed. Their drink specials are also pretty good. You can get a pitcher of bud light for $8 (it used to be $7 but with the economy in the toilet I guess they raised the price).

  • Casey M.

This place is very very fun and unlike many Boston bars (ie very expensive) Connor's is a fun place to watch a game although it does get packed! but its fun especially if you are a Boston fan. They have all sorts of deals but the pitches are cheap for sure. Also right across from Northeastern so co-eds abound. Have fun!!

    (4)
  • Jennifer C.

Conor's is the definition of a college bar. Except, the food is actually delicious. The fries have a great flavor, the burgers are delicious, and the beer is only 8 bucks for a pitcher. It's randomly busy, which is the only thing I hate about it. I've been there on a Saturday night when it's empty (which I actually like better) and then I've been on another Saturday when it was packed. So if you're looking for a bar to go hang out with your friends, play some quarters, etc, Conor's is your bar.

They don't serve hard liquor. For a non-beer person, this bar is hell. Also hell for non-NE students.

I'm done with frat parties and the like. Don't get me wrong, I had a good run and really enjoyed ugrad life, but personally im over the hump. Conor Larkins offers cheap beers and food. decoration was divey and the bathrooms horrid.. I'm all for divey but bathrooms put me over in the yellow star.

Spent many days here before becoming a legal drinker, throwing down $6 pitchers in rapid succession before they closed at 1 AM. Well, just as I have grown up, so has "Conor's" - as it is refered to by regulars. They decor has been cleaned up, with all sorts of Irish related pictures, as well as the addition of a hardwood floor - they tore up the nasty old carpet. Only downside - they raised the price of pitchers to $7.

Given the proximity to Northeastern campus and university apartments you'll find plenty of students here. The place can get pretty crowded so you have to like to stand with little room to do much else than well, stand. It is cheaper nearby places like our house. And when it comes to their food, the waitress always seems to get my order wrong. Unless you go to Northeastern and really want to go some place right after class or is uber close to your apartment, find a better joint.

  • Columbia W.

Four Stars for the burgers! Really, really good. The last time I was there, I could not believe how juicy my burger was. I ordered it medium, but it was closer to well done (oops), but it didn't matter because somehow it was incredibly juicy. I'm not talking about greasy. Juicy. Like how a burger off your grill is when you've properly seared the outside with some flames to start so the juices are trapped inside while it's cooking. Really tasty. Okay, I need to stop. Yeah, it's a college bar...we were surrounded by the rugby team and a sorority last time. But whatever...the burgers....

  • Antonio Z.

Great place for a pint and watching the game. College crowd, college prices. They don't have hard liquor (probably due to its proximity to NEU), but like I said....great place to have a pint and watch the game. Nachos looked killer though I didn't partake.

  • Jessica D.

I LOVE this bar. The best Burgers, Fries, Steak Tip Sub and Buffalo Wings ever! Totally a casual and cheap bar, you get what you expect. But everyone who goes to Connor's goes there to have a good time. Get there early though if you actually want to sit down! $7 pitchers and $1.50 drafts really cant be beat.

  • Katia M.

Perhaps Leon Uris wouldn't approve, but I didn't think this place was too bad. I went in expecting a dank basement type bar, and was shocked to find a clean, bright space with clean bathrooms. Whaaa? The hero of the book "Trinity," the bar's namesake, would be appalled, but it wasn't too bad in my book. Although I expected it to look like a small, South Boston corner bar, it didn't, and maybe that's okay. I'll have to investigate more, but I can see it working for me.

  • Kirsten J.

Looking for cheap beer and good food? This is the place to be. The dinners are fantastic, and the pitchers are around $6. It's perfect for going to chill right after a hard final (it's right across from Northeastern), and has a Trivia Game on Tuesday nights. Good times at Conors, for sure.

    (4)
  • Miriam B.

In terms of a college bar, I found Conor's to be quite nice. The $6 pitchers may not be the best beer in the world, but they are $6. I am a big fan of their fries. I am not a fan of the single bathroom per gender, nor the size of the venue when it gets busy.

    (4)
  • Matthew M.

If you enjoy chillin' with the college republican crowd, by all means, have at it. Otherwise you might want to give this place a wide berth. Cheap pitchers though...

  • Anne B.

I love this place. It's an awesome on campus bar with good eats and cheap beer. They also have trivia nights on Tuesday which are a lot better than Our House trivia nights. $6.00 pitchers and red sox games = awesome time.

    (5)
  • Jessica N.

This place has killer nachos! Make sure to order them when you are there. This is a nice place to grab a bit to eat for lunch or to watch a game. But, it gets nuts on the weekends or on nights the Red Sox are playing with all the Northeastern students there. If you aren't into being squished, you might want to check somewhere else out on the weekends, but otherwise it's a pretty good hang out spot.

    (4)
  • Kristen G.

It's pretty cheap with $6 pitchers. Tuesday trivia is fun. Sometimes it gets annoyingly loud and crowded, otherwise it is a fun place to eat some basic bar food and drink cheaply. If you go to NU, don't expect not to run into at least 5 people you know while you're there.

    (2)
  • emily d.

Convenience (and the sox game) is everything with Conor's. I'll be the one having 3 coronas for lunch in the corner.

  • kristyn m.

Close to Northeastern, draws a big college crowd. CHEAP drinks! Great place to watch red socks games.

    (4)
  • Jen P.

Conors is a great place to grab a pitcher of beer (only $6) and snack on some quesadillas or nachos with friends. Many Northeastern kids can be found there after a tough day of classes, or coop. There are many tvs situated around the bar so its a good place to catch the Sox. Get there early though or you'll get stuck standing fighting for space with the pool players. Only bad thing, they close at 1am!
