Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

This is about the closest I've seen in Boston to NYC pizza. The slices are large. One slice is probably the size of a personal pizza. The slices can be a bit greasy. There are other things on the menu, like subs. THE BKP has plenty of seating too. The staff is very friendly and prompt. My favorite slice is the Buffalo Chicken. Ask them for a side of bleu cheese.

Most of the reviews here are for the pizza but I'm all about their FALAFEL. I work nearby and eat here pretty frequently so I've sampled a wide variety of items on their menu (including the occasional slice when I'm running low on funds) but I more enjoy the fact that there is a place nearby to get fresh and tasty Middle Eastern food. The friendly family who runs the restaurant are Palestinian and the falafel they serve is pretty delicious. I've also had their salads, shawarma and Mediterranean burger (which is gigantic as a word of warning) and all were solid. The pizza's good too, especially the Bostonian, buffalo chicken and other specialty slices. I find it's best to get slices during the lunch rush though, otherwise they can get kinda stale and crusty.

I recommend going here if you're a huge fan of diarrhea.

Not a lot of cheap places to eat in downtown Boston. And even though there's plenty of cheap places in Chinatown sometimes I just want a slice of pizza. Now for all those who compare pizza from Boston to NYC style please get over it. No where on this menu does it ever claim to be NY style pizza so obviously expecting to get that is not a fair comparison. What you will get is an incredibly massive slice for just over $3 dollars. Seriously, every time I come here for a slice it is literally double the size of an average slice and they have six regular toppings they serve by the slice. So if you aren't a cheese or pepperoni fan they do have a veggie and grilled chicken or buffalo if you're a little bit risky with your toppings. And the crust isn't hard or over done. I don't know how they do with all the other expansive menu items they offer but at least the pizza is cheap, fresh and done right. And at the core of a pizza store that's really what counts.

When the pizza is fresh, it's unbeatable. I got two slices today - the first was directly from the oven. It was PERFECT. Flaky buttery crust with a wonderful sauce and lots of tasty cheese. Wow. I was sold! My second slice was from a pie that was sitting there: I saw the guy grab the first from the oven, and the second from this other pizza. The second slice, while tasty, was pretty tough and halfway through, my jaw hurt from chewing. The place is clean enough, but because there are 2 doors you can enter in, all the chill from outside often flows in, and it gets awful crowded. If you go early enough and can get a fresh slice, I can't recommend it enough. As for older pizza/slices, I'd pass.

I've read a lot of reviews about the pizza on here, so I thought I'd share a review about the salad that I had lol. The serving size was huge; the vegetables were fresh. The Italian salad dressing I received was good as well. I paid $5 for the salad, which included some very soft tasty bread. Not bad for dinner! The cashier was VERY nice too.
(5)Cec D.
Great spot to grab a slice, wrap or salad. Food is tasty and fresh, prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and nice. Has the feel of a family owned place and they take pride in their food. I usually get the greek salad with falafel; it's phenomenal!
(4)Jeffrey K.
Nothing special but it's close to my home so I would consider myself a local patron. The pizza is pretty good and the other items on the menu are OK (wraps, wing dings ect). The location is perfect, prices are good for Boston and the service is very efficient. The guys behind the counter are awesome and hard working as well. Considering all that I would give it 3-stars (A-OK).
(3)Hiro T.
Best pizza in the area! The buffalo chicken is absolutely delicious. The slices are huge and the price is right. Other items on the menu are good as well. The steak and cheese sub is tasty.
(4)Jatin R.
I'm pretty sure all the reviewers who claim the pizza here is "NYC style" have never actually had a real NYC pie (not from a Rays chain, but Grimaldi's or Joe's, for example). BPK is not "good pizza" by any definition (even compared to the average NYC slice). The key problem is that the crust is extremely dry. The second problem is that even if you go during the busy lunch hour, all the slices you get are from old pies made in the morning, so the dryness factor goes up by 10-fold. Sauce and cheese are just average. I'm not sure if any of this is due to the weird conveyor belt oven. Pros: good location, very friendly staff, they take LevelUp, cheap for the quantity of food you get. I work across the street, but I prefer to walk a few blocks to Crazy Dough's for a decent slice. Other than the pizza, the only other item I've had is the eggplant parm sandwich. Kinda gross - overfried. The TV is set to ESPN always, FYI.
(2)TJ L.
Wow. I've worked in the area for a couple years now and never thought to give this place a try until today. My mistake. This review isn't for their pizza, it's for their falafel "pocket." I put pocket in quotes because this was more like a purse. It was huge. Like the size of my head huge. And I have a big head. Now of course size isn't everything (when it comes to falafel that is...) but this wasn't just big, it was incredibly delicious! Forget the pita, they put it in a pita-shaped pizza pocket. Crispy, tasty, incredible. The falafel was crispy on the outside and moist inside, like it should be, and there had to be at least 8 falafels in the single pocket. I couldn't even finish it, but don't worry, i saved the rest for when I got home. I will definitely be returning as it was one of the best falafel sandwiches I've ever had. To top it all off the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Maybe next time I'll try something else, but I doubt I'll be able to resist the siren's call of the Falafel Pocket. 5 stars!
(5)Madison R.
This is best pizza place in Boston, and their buffalo chicken is out of this world good. A slice is a bit more expensive than some of the surrounding joints, but worth every penny. I usually go there for lunch and enjoy a slice and some ESPN. Even as a big guy, I find the pizza plenty filling. Not only this, the guy that runs the shop is awesome. He clearly takes pride in his pizza and cares about his customers. He is aware of everything that is going on and provides a great atmosphere. Recently a guy came in looking for some change and, before he could even bother a customer, was immediately escorted out by the guy in charge. I'm not sure how he made it from the kitchen to the front so fast. I can't recommend this place highly enough - absolutely love it.
(5)Jason L.
Looks can be deceiving. Although BKP is housed along the corner of chinatown near the sketchy and dilapidated chinese $0.99 store, don't hesitate to stop in here for a quick slice. The crust is the star here. It's NYC thin, without the grease. The pie has the perfect chewiness and is generously loaded with toppings, bathed with minimal, slightly-sweet, tomato sauce, and baked to just the right crispiness. In accordance with all the other generic pizza joints, BKP has an extensive non-pizza menu with sandwiches, pastas, etc. I haven't tried anything else on the menu, and don't plan to, because with pizza this yummy it doesn't matter. As an extra perk, they take LevelUp. (With the money you save, feel free to stop by the ghetto 0.99 store.)
(4)Diana G.
I stopped in here for a slice of veggie pizza for the first time the other night and all I have to say is wow! This was a huge slice of pizza with tons of fresh veggies & cheese on top! I think it weighed almost a pound. The bottom of the crust was a little soggy -probably because there were so many veggies on it (this is the only reason I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5). I stopped in again later in the week for lunch, and got a slice of veggie/ricotta pizza, and again - wow! This was even tastier than the veggie pizza I had. Maybe because this pizza was out of the oven for a bit, and the flavors had time to meld together. Overall, this is a great place for an inexpensive meal that really fills you up. The prices are great - it's only $2 or $3 for a huge piece of pizza. They also offer calzones, wraps, panini, soup, salads, burgers & fries. The service is friendly, the restaurant itself is clean, and there is plenty of seating! I'll be back! :D
(4)Tara H.
I am super, super impressed with this place. Again, for work, I was in search of something cheap yet super tasty to feed a huge group of people. I had a coupon, and saw they did catering, so I took a chance. Not only were they super friendly, the food was FANTASTIC! I ordered the Large of the Cheese Lasagna which proved to be enough for seconds AND left overs. It was warm, filled with TONS of melting cheese and just the right amount of garlic. From that, to the pizza-dough bread sticks, to the SUPER awesome Cesar salad to the service itself...and overall truly pleasant experience. Plus, I have to say, for the amount of food we got the price was way reasonable. Another in the books to make our office happy, but my boss happy about the price. Score! Yes, I will being going back for more!
(5)Katherine D.
Slices are big and reasonably priced, but lack flavor. Most of the other items I've gotten haven't been great (read: overcooked pasta, bland meats) but the chicken parm sub is my go-to. Too messy to pick up and eat, but delicious with a fork and knife.
(3)Yoonie C.
Pretty good! On Monday evening, the pepperoni & mushroom slice was large, hot (temperature-wise), tasty, and salty in a good way. But Friday at lunch, my buffalo chicken slice was not heated all the way through. If it was piping hot, it might have been delicious. This is definitely a proper NYC style pizza indeed. Thin crust with salty toppings that give you enough topping with each bite. Chewy plush dough in between the warm crisp layers. When the slice is piping hot and baked all the way through, it's delicious. Otherwise, it borders on "a-ok" and "could be kind of gross to some people".
(3)Marissa P.
I am giving them a star for the friendly, nice people who work here. Pizza alone this place is 1 star. Terrible pizza!!!!! Flavorless! People in Boston clearly have no idea what good pizza is if they think this is it!
(2)Anna B.
Yes, yes, yes. My friends and I were in the Common after stuffing ourselves at the New England Dessert Showcase and realized we needed some savory to balance out all the sweet. Also, we maybe had the munchies from a contact high from the legalize marijuana protest going on. Enter Boston Kitchen Pizza, deliverer of thin, crispy, greasy NY-style pizza that was PERFECT. Seriously, the slightly sweet sauce was a perfect complement to the oozing cheese (and pepperoni and sausage), and the crust was hearty enough to wipe up any drippings we missed the first time around. This place is not pretentious-don't come looking for some gourmet squash on a cracker of a crust. Do come for delicious, straight-up pizza and friendly service.
(5)Lily S.
mm mm mm so ive never actually had the pizza here because, frankly, the stuff they have sitting in the window looks gross, but the buffalo chicken wrap is to die for.
(4)Noman K.
Amazing service, the owners are very friendly people. The southwest panini and chicken parm are great options. Can't go wrong with BKP!
(5)Scott B.
We are staying at the Revere Hotel and were looking for a quick meal before heading down to the fireworks, and found this on yelp. We ordered a pizza (They also have pizza by the slice) which was made fresh is a short time. It was fantastic. They have a lot of items other than pizza as well and everything looked great. If we need another quick meal on our trip we will definitely be back!
(5)Holly K.
I was excited to discover Boston Kitchen Pizza soon after it opened. It's solidly good tasting basic pizza, whether plain cheese or with toppings. But the real reason I love the place is because it's one of the few places around downtown crossing/theater district which is actually still open at night and on the weekend. Eventually, downtown crossing bars and restaurants will realize that yes, people DO live here. In the meantime, thanks for the pizza! The one caveat, which is the reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars, is that the pizza has been a bit hit or miss. I assume they'll find their footing as time goes on (or so this hungry downtown crossing patron hopes!).
(4)Annie T.
I work near this place on the weekends, so I stop in a couple of times a month. First off, portion sizes are VERY generous. I ordered two pieces of pizza, and each pieces was about the size of three connected pizza pieces from Dominoes. I was so shocked, but I ate half of one, and saved the rest for later when I went home. It was too huge and greasy to eat in one sitting. It was very tasty though! I always get cravings for their pepperoni slices. They make a really great chicken kabob plate: the chicken is tasty and juicy and the fries are so delish. It's moderately priced, and it's easily accessible by the orange line. I really like this place, and the people who own it (it seems like a family business since I believe the owner's son mans the register on the weekend) are really sweet. If the place isn't too busy, the owner will generously bring your food to your table if he sees you sitting when your food is ready.
(5)Mark Y.
I love this pizza place. I've only had the cheese pizza but it's so good. I'm definitely a fan.
(5)Elizabeth D.
No credit card minimum, delicious pizza at a reasonable price and available by the slice. I'm definitely a fan. Definitely one of my favorite slices in Boston.
(4)Sally M.
We were in Boston for a little R&R and we're from NYC. We had driven by this pace and it looked good. Not a fancy, fine dining place. A coffee shop pizza place. Didn't get the pizza since I only eat whole wheat. Was happy with the menu of lots of other choices. Reasonable prices, too. My date ordered the Eggplant Parmigian and I ordered the Veggies sauteed with an addition of feta for protein. Eggplant was enough for 4 people and was delicious. The Veggies were done well and came with a big salad. Everything looked good, tasted good and was priced reasonably, as I said. This is around the corner from the theatre where we were going next.
(4)Dennis L.
This place occupying the slot formerly Pho Vietnam seems to be trying to compete directly with New York Pizza. It's a similar style, in terms of the style of pizza, level of caramelization of the cheese, size of slices... Similar price point. The pizzas are fairly well topped. It is a bit different. The pizza can be hit or miss. It has a good flavor, but is exceptionally greasy. It is also on the fairly soft side, whereas NY's is more crisp. I prefer a bit more solid texture and the slice of pepperoni I had melted through three plates in terms of the oil. I had to resort to a knife and fork because the slice could not maintain its own structural integrity. They just opened, so service is very much with a smile and they are getting the inefficiencies out of the system. I'll see how they are like when they are more established, but so far, not bad. Just that they use one of those set-time rolling ovens. The pricing of other selections seem reasonable and comparable.
(3)Jen S.
Really good pizza when you first get it, but it becomes extremely dry when you eat it for leftovers. That's a deal breaker since there's always leftovers when you order a whole pizza. Also, the crust is really good.
(3)Eric F.
Went here a couple months back and was thoroughly unimpressed. The pizza we ordered was quite well done with good quality ingredients, but it all fell apart when we tried to split it - the cheese and toppings slipped right off the sauce and dough and it was a huge pain to eat. The wait was lengthy as well, taking almost half an hour to get the pizza out. Will not be returning anytime soon...
(2)Kat M.
Delicious and reasonably priced pizza. The older and serious man is a little scary, but he makes a great pizza. When asked to add extra jalapeños, he was like "sure." Not only did he not charge us for the extra jalapeños, but he also did not charge for the side of ranch. The place was empty every time we'd walk by, so we were surprised to enjoy such a tasty pizza. The ONLY reason why I gave 4 stars is because the spot closes early. Even when there were still people inside waiting for a pizza, they refused to unlock the door and take our order. I guess they must not need the money that bad. We were so disappointed because we wanted our last slices of pizza before heading back to Cali. Oh well, hopefully they won't close early the next random chance I get to go to Boston. And by early I'm talking about 8:30-9
(4)Alex S.
I've been to this establishment twice with my friends. On the first occassion we got the two pizzas and on the second occasion I got the fish and chips. It is safe to say I will not be coming back for a third time. The pizza was so soggy that the cheese layer literally fell off and separated from the rest of the pizza. In essence you have to use a fork and knife to literally eat their pizzas. The price is outrageous and the pizza did not even taste that great. The fish and chips were terrible. I got the fish and chips dinner for 10.99 (complete and total rip off) and they didn't even make the dish properly. The fish had no batter and it tasted like costco frozen fish. Oh yeah and the guy taking orders can barely understand English. He had a hard time understanding what we wanted and he messed up my friends order. In addition he did not ask us if we wanted to take out food to go. Price: 1/5 Quality: 1/5 Taste: 1/5

Was visiting Tufts and decided to grab a quick bite to eat. I had the Chicken Parmesean and it was absolutely delicious. Who would have thought the Chicken Parm was going to be so delicious at a Pizza joint. The cashier was very nice and the food came fast and was pipping HOT. Also, a HUGE portion of Chicken Parm for under $8. What a pleasant suprise. We will visit again :)
(5)Ankur D.
Delicious pizza. This place is right across the street from my work. They don't deliver but ill often buy a pie and take it home on the train! Best pies - buffalo chicken pizza and plain pepperoni pies.
(5)Ashley M.
Delicious pizza. Large slices. I'm a vegetarian for health reasons and even I eat his chicken alfredo pizza if its in front of me haha. Very very considerate and consistent with their service. Can't beat the price either. One of the owners comes into the store I work at often and he's one of the nicest guys you'll meet. Great late night grub. Best pizza in Boston!
(5)Eric S.
Wow!!! great pizza the pesto pizza and the buffalo chiken pizza are absoluetly delicious.. and rememebr to ask for blue cheese to dip the crust in its amazingly good i kid you not,,,I think the place used to be a asian soup place but they really put some good food up in there ,,Another favorite place for a great slice and lunch when downtown...
(5)Kevin S.
Always grab a slice here when I'm in Boston for a show. Really good.
(4)John D.
Good food and friendly service. Granted it is not a classy place but it is just perfect for a corner pizza place. I have tried the sandwhiches and pizza and all is really good. The cheese blend is really something special. Since I was visitng the area this place started as just an option to avoid the $25.00 room service burger from the double tree but I was pleasantly suprised
(4)Marc C.
Let us start with the exchange with the counter person taking the order (C) and myself (M). C: What do you want? M: Can I get a large cheese pizza with tomatoes, olives, peppers, and ricotta? C: Peppers and what else? M: Tomatoes, olives, and ricotta, along with the peppers. C: So you want peppers... olives... and... [long pause] M: Tomatoes... ricotta... olives and peppers. [Thinking she already had the olives and peppers on lock down.] C: OK, so tomatoes, olives, ricotta... and what else? [The entire time she has been twisting and playing with her hair.] M: Peppers. C: That it? M: May I also have a chef's salad? C: What kind of dressing? M: What dressings do you have? [She rattles them off.] M: May I have a ranch and a Caesar dressing? [Panic sets into her eyes] C: Huh?! M: I don't mind paying extra for it. [She consults with someone and turns and nods, saying nothing] C: That it? M: Yes it is. C: Is that for here or to go? M: To go. [Now self conscious and wondering if I look like a person that would eat a whole salad and a large pizza] Now I hand her the card I am paying with and she hands me back the slip to sign and a capless Sharpie marker. Now, for those of you that know how long my last name is, I would like you two explain to me how to sign my name on a small credit card slip with a dull Sharpie. I mange to make a large black blob on the signature line and sit down to wait. The salad is ready and the shout over to me informing me of this fact. The person that took my order looked at me oddly since I wasn't getting up to get it. I said I also had a pizza, at which point her face went blank and she then squinted a little, tilted her head to the side, and said, "What kind?" I then looked at her blankly an in my head said, "Really? REALLY?!" I then started naming off the toppings and she turns and looks through the slips. "It's coming," she says. Then a guy calls out my pizza a bit later. I go up to the counter and see a rather small box. I ask, "This is a large?" He then informs me that the pizza before me is a medium. I then tell him I ordered a large. He then looks at the slip and tells me that I did not order a large (which is an amazing feat for him to know for certain since he wasn't around when I ordered). I inform him that I most certainly did order a large since it was for three people. "Well we charged you for a medium," he flat-out tells me. "But I needed a large," I reply. After a long pause, he says, "If you really want, I will make you a large." Since he made it sound like such a chore, I declined, telling him I didn't have time. Thankfully, I had a You've Been Yelped card in my pocket. I plopped it on the counter and left. I get the salad and pizza home and not only is the crust undercooked, the cheese isn't melted and the vegetables are still raw. The salad was rather nice with an assortment of leafy greens. It would have been nice if I had gotten the correct dressings that I ordered. I am very disappointed and underwhelmed. I wouldn't even have minded the fact That I had to turn my oven on and cook my pizza when I got home, but the lack of customer service and incorrect order just made things suck all the more. I was looking forward to this place since it is only two blocks away from where I live, but they just failed to deliver.
(2)Michael M.
Best pizza-by-the-slice in the city. Subs are phenomenal. Service is exceptional. chicken kabob is bomb. i come here at least three times a week and i am never disappointed.
(5)Carly Z.
Their re-heated pizza slices don't hold a candle to their fresh pies, which is probably why so many people have said they dislike the pizza. Yes, the slices can be dry. I'm a NYer, and this isn't NY pizza, but it's not awful. The "farmer" veggie and "Bostonian" pizzas are my favorite...loaded with toppings but not a lot of sauce (I hate chunks of tomatoes). Their sandwiches and salads are what made me give them 4 stars. The grilled chicken sandwich is a HUGE well-seasoned chicken breast and you get not only fries, but onion rings too, for only 7 bucks. The salads are great too. The veggies are fresh and I've never had even one piece of wilted lettuce. I could do with a couple more cucumbers and such, but that's just my salad preference. Want a grilled chicken salad? You'll get that same huge breast (grilled fresh) on top. Their dressings are delicious and you also get a slice of their nice warm focaccia bread on the side. I haven't tried their falafel yet, but I've heard it's good too. I love the owners and staff...they're always super friendly, polite, and focused on their customers (I once complimented the owner on the chicken seasoning/marinade and he told me to come back at an off-peak time and he'd give me the recipe! I never did, but it was so nice). They even know my boss by name, because he comes so often. They're crazy busy at lunch, so I usually only come after about 1 pm, even though I work just across the street. But don't come too late, otherwise the creeps of Chinatown come out after dark.
(4)Brian S.
Went here with a couple of friends for lunch, as we were very used to New York Pizza just a couple blocks away so we thought we'd try something new. We ordered the Fenway, which was very flavorful, but it took forever to get to our table and and the pizza was overall a bit soggy. You couldn't pull a slice away without having all the cheese and toppings slide off. I'm going to stick with New York Pizza.
(2)Laura F.
Last night my roommate and I got a buffalo chicken pizza and it was AWESOME. They use blue cheese as the sauce, mozzarella on top, and plenty of fried/breaded chicken pieces with buffalo sauce. the crust was thin and crispy and delicious. I woke up this morning wanting the leftover piece for breakfast and was very sad when i ate the last bite. I might never try any of their other specialty pizzas because this one was so good!
(5)Anu R.
This place is horrible. I downloaded a copy of their menu from their website- and it did not load properly on my computer. So, when I called to order- they put me on hold (which I didn't mind since they were busy), but everytime they picked up the phone, they kept saying "hold on". Then when I finally talked to the cashier, she asked me what I wanted to order and I told her how the menu did not load. I asked her what she recommended and she said, "We are really busy, once you figure out what you want, call us back." I explained that the menu was not loading onto my computer and the fonts were really messed up, and she didnt even care to listen. BITCH. If that bitchy cashier is reading this- IF YOU WANT BUSINESS, be a little bit more nice to your customers- and FIX your DAMN MENU.
(1)Sahara S.
Went in to grab a slice of pizza last night and the staff was really friendly. Pizza was definitely better than ok, but I wouldn't call it great. I'm sure I'll see them a few more nights.
(4)Aundrea V.
Pizza was great, service was great and the prices were competitive. I'm currently boycotting Domino's due their poor service and I was lucky enough to find this gem in my backyard!! I ordered about 5 pizzas to serve 20 or so people and paid the same amount I usually pay for the $5 deal from Domino's!! I will definitely keep coming back : )
(4)R U.
Had two huge slices of pizza here. All in all was very satisfied. The toppings weren't bad but the real star is the crust. It's thin and chewy, just the way I like it.
(4)Lauren B.
Delicious pizza! The best crust I've ever tasted- not too soft, not to hard, but just right. This place is around the corner from my school so I stop in 1-2/week for a slice. Who would've thought the best pizza in Boston would be in Chinatown?
(5)Allen S.
This place is awesome. I enjoyed the food here. I had a slice, okay maybe two and it tasted great. I came back 2 more times during my visit! The guy working the counter here was awesome as well. Could use a little updating, but well worth the visit here! Great value! Highly recommended!
(5)Scott H.
Good slices, good value. The slices here are large - each one is an entire quarter of a pizza, so really more like two slices - and at $2.75 for cheese, or $3.50 for 1 or more toppings, that's fair pricing. The buffalo chicken slice is very tasty. While some places might approximate 'buffalo chicken' by using chicken breast and some generic hot sauce, BKP takes actual chicken wings - good ones - and uses them to top the pizza. Just delicious. The crust is chewy, crispy on the bottom, and the cheese was nicely browned in spots. Sauce was not a big part of the experience - most of the slices I tried had only a very thin layer - so that's one area where they could improve. More sauce = more flavor, right? BKP seems like mainly a casual, to-go kind of place. While I did see people ordering entire pies to eat in, most customers ordered slices, either to eat in or to go. Compared to the best sit-down pizza places, BKP rates more like 3 stars, but compared to pizza-by-slice joints, definitely 4.

this place is awesome! Just the kind of hole-in-the-wall greasy madness that makes pizza really good! We were shopping in the area and we stopped in and got two slices of cheese and an order of garlic bread.... it was seriously enough food for two to three meals! Granted we are smaller girls, but still... great prices and great food! We can't wait to go back!
(5)Rachel B.
This place is inexpensive and awesome. Consistent great food that is prepared super fast.
(4)Prasad M.
Got veggie lovers like me the veg pizza slice is awesome. I tried salads and veg burger. Overall food is good.
(4)Shani T.
Deliciously large slices of greasy pizza--what's not to love? Seriously though, the slices are larger than my face and clock in at around $3.50 ($2.75 if you get plain cheese). One is more than enough to be full, unless you're a ravaging monster looking for food. I did have to dab some grease away from the pizza, and it's no Artichoke Pizza in New York, but this is a great hole-in-the-wall place to satisfy a pizza craving. Both the pepperoni pizza and the buffalo pizza were really good!
(4)Jodenne S.
Wonderful hidden pizza joint!! Great meatball sub sandwiches, chicken Parmesan linguini!! Stumbled upon it when we couldn't find anything open!! Thank you!!
(4)Catherine H.
I have so many good memories associated with this pizza... Late nights studying at TMC aided by this pizza, eating it on the T before going to Fenway, and freezing it in preparation of days I won't have time to make dinner (this pizza freezes really well and maintains it's quality better than any other pizza I have tried). The buffalo pizza is by far the best. It is the most deliciously greasy pizza in Boston and the slices are huge! So much flavor and the topping distribution is not stingy. On a side note, if you put a slice of this pizza in your shared work refrigerator be sure to hide it well! I have had many an unknown pizza thief steal my leftovers (it's that good!!).
(4)Mika S.
If you're just looking for a simple slice of pizza, you need to head here. The slices are massive (1 slice can easily feed one person) and cost no more than $3.50. There are about 8-10 simple, but delicious pizza toppings that you can choose from - my boyfriend and I ordered 3 slices (Cheese, Garlic and Spinach & Buffalo Chicken) to share. The slices had a ton of cheese; the perfect amount of sauce; rich flavours; doughy crusts. Even though the slices weren't freshly cooked, they certainly tasted like they were! The slices were a little greasy, but we just dabbed them with a napkin.
(4)Joyce L.
My meatballsub was subpar, but I'm giving this place 4 stars. Why, you ask? Because their serving size is HUGE and that's an automatic thumbs up in my book. The pizza slices are massive and so is the kafta pocket... Just don't order the meatball sub. The amount of cheese they put on that thing is so overwhelming and the meatballs are tasteless. Come here for the pizza and for the pizza only.
(4)Ellean Z.
I don't even like pizza that much, but this place has me craving pizza almost all the time like a maniac. The dough in their pizza is not as thick as I normally like it, but there's a really nice chew to it that puts the slightest spring into my bite. It's utterly delightful. My pie of choice: buffalo chicken. It just tastes so perfect and there are wonderful pockets of blue cheese baked into it... I don't even like blue cheese that much but it works so well here. I dropped a star only because the burger here was good, though not flavorful enough for me (but definitely better than Five Guys), and the meatball sub looked so much better on instagram than it tasted in my belly (not as good as Subway).

This was actually the first eatery I visited when I first came to Boston for my interview with Tufts Dental. Back then, I had to eat at this place because it was the cheapest and closest to the school itself. Now, I choose to eat here because of the quality of the pizzas. Despite their enormous and ever changing menu, they do everything quite alright. Nothing apart from the pizza particularly stands out but they're not too bad either. Their slices of pizza are generous in size, no doubt. Their dough has the right amount of chew, butter, and flavor. My favorite from here has to be the pesto chicken pizza. The price isn't cheap, but for Boston I would say it's on the lower end so that's a win. If you're ever in the need for a quick bite, this would be the spot to get it.
(4)Vincent B.
Phenomenal Pizza. The two guys who run it are fantastic as well. Best Pizza in Boston by the slice. Get you ass there if you live pizza.
(5)Ahmed A.
Calling all Non pork eaters! Great beef pepperoni pizza. If you don't eat pork, it's great because it's all beef! You just put it in your mouth and it tastes so good
(5)Mary G.
I've stopped in here a few times when working at Tufts (I'm a per-diem medical prof.) and the food is good. They've got a fantastic thinner pizza, and it's the only quick pizza joint nearby. It gets really busy during lunch and dinner, and that makes it tough to get in and out. I wish there was an easier way to order. 3 Stars until they get the ordering process taken care of! It's 2015 for crying out loud, why no online ordering? Obviously the older gentleman who runs the restaurant doesn't understand the issues healthcare professionals face like how we can't use a phone to call during a shift most of the time, could totally order online with ease, also, our breaks are so quick and half the time is spent getting out of the facility, so being able to scoot over and pick up quickly would be a godsend!
(3)Jean R.
I am glad to say that it is located right next to my campus :) With many Asian type food choices available in the area, I longed for a place where I could get some good pizza, burgers, wraps, calzones, sandwiches etc... And this is THAT place. With great employees always taking your order with a smile, this place is definitely on the top of my list. I have tried a variety of items from the menu and I am always satisfied with what I get.
(5)Becky W.
We couldn't find anywhere open to eat one night this week around 11 and we ended up here. We got slices of pepperoni, buffalo chicken and bacon ranch pizza. We also got Peanut Butter Cup cookies. The pizza was huge slices, but tasted average. I wouldn't be surprised if it had been sitting out all day. The cookies were amazingly delicious though. Would go here again if in a pinch.
(3)Adam C.
This is how pizza should taste. I was staying at the Hostel International next door and I was very glad that I tried this place out. I has tried the other place on the opposite side of the block called NY Pizza and this place was the far better establishment. All I had was a regular piece of pepperoni but it was exactly what I was looking for. It tasted like a real slice of NY Pizza.
(5)Taniaceli M.
These people are amazing. I work in the hospital across the street n I am obssess with their pizza. My coworker introduced me to them and now they see me and they already know what I want. Their "beantown eat here" shirts are pretty funny. Love their brownies and the buffalo pizza. If u come to this ... YOU HAVE TO TRY THE BUFFALO PIZZA!
(5)Rishabh G.
Being from NY, I've never been able to find a decent slice of cheese pizza in Boston. But this place comes close. The crust was crispy, the sauce seasoned well, and the cheese gooey. The prices are also fair.
(4)Sebastian Y.
Hole in the wall pizza joint in Chinatown with what might be the best buffalo chicken pizza I've ever tasted. The hype is real. Good wings too.
(4)Renee K.
Sometimes after a day of exploring the town and walking all over the place you need to finish your night with something good. We ate this pizza twice while vacationing in Boston because it was good and quick. We didn't try anything else off the menu but pizza slices. Also the place is ran by really nice employees.

Every year, as soon as Passover starts and I give up wheat, my pizza cravings kick in. This year, I'm one step ahead of the game by having a huge pizza lunch the day before. You can't get me this time, pizza cravings! Anyhow, I don't think Boston Kitchen Pizza beats New York pizza (or at least not Joe's), but by Boston standards, it's great. The pizzas were so warm and fresh when they arrived - so much better than most places that just throw slices in the oven for a minute resulting in a lukewarm pizza. The slice itself was thin but the crust was nice and airy - truly the best of both worlds. I really liked how they had a lot of by-the-slice options beyond cheese and pepperoni. I got the mushroom slice, which could have used more mushrooms, but I take what I can get. I also tried half a slice of the Melanzone specialty pie with eggplant, roasted red pepper and garlic. The cooked cloves of garlic were so good and gave it a much fresher taste than plain old garlic powder. I didn't try anything else, but the rest of their menu is jam-packed with just about everything, from lasagna to shawarma to burgers. It's kind of ridiculous.
(4)Renee T.
I had a regular burger plate...! I don't know this place before and I was just passing by. Foods taste good! I love the onion rings...! I just know it's famous for pizza, I guess I have to try it next time!!! Those guys are friendly!! You can always leave with pleasure...:]
(5)Amber X.
Huge slice with good taste, I like this place.
(5)Lauren B.
I grabbed a calzone here because it was close to my hotel. I didn't have high expectations from the outside but it was good and a great value for a decent size dish on the go.
(3)Monica S.
I called for pick up - told the woman my order and she hung up without asking me my name or providing a wait time. I arrived after about 10/15 minutes and paid. She didn't hand me my food or tell me a wait time so I took a seat just in front of the counter. Waited 15+ minutes while they called out a dozen orders. Got back in line to ask about my order and she said "it's right here. It's been sitting here." Well so had I, 2 feet from her. I ordered the Kafta Pocket which was very good but also very salty. Disappointing experience but it's so close I'll probably give it another shot. Service needs improvement!!
(3)Karen C.
This place has the best Falafel Pocket in town... The staff takes care of us Tufts Med Ctr employees with quick service and deliveries!! The staff is quick and funny too!! Bonus: the owner is the cutest guy evah!!
(5)Mike S.
Big menu, fresh food, nice employees. My second favorite buff chix zah in boston. The wraps are delicious and the prices are fair.
(5)Kami C.
Party of 2 ordered spicey chicken & avocado & Falafel dinner ... A tiny bit slower than expected - we were not in a hurry but quite hungry. The food was super yummy! Counter service was friendly & accomodating.
(5)Jeff E.
I ordered my slices, and the guy working the pizza oven uses his bare hands and throws the slices into the oven, then uses his bare hands to put the slices on my plate. I have no clue what he had previously been touching, and do not appreciate his bare hands all over my food. He walked to the oven from the back, so I do not know if hands were washed, nor what he had been doing before his hands were all over my food. The pizza, meh. Bland as can be. I had many other slices in Boston on this trip that were far superior to this place, and they did not have their nasty bare hands handling the food.
(1)Bob D.
Order takeout and it was pretty darn tasty fast and cheap. Pizza could have been a little bit warmer when it arrived.
(4)Sfcitygirl M.
I just wanted a slice of pizza and thought this place would be able to hit the spot. I'm generally not too picky or overalls critical of my pizzas, but this order was terrible-much that I was prompted to write this review. The slice of grilled chicken only had 1/3 of chicken on the pizza, the pizza was cold (most places warm it up first!!!) and the pizza tasted like it was sitting out all day!! I'm completely not impressed-pizza fail!!! Don't sell bad pizza!
(1)Timothy T.
Best pizza in Boston (so far). Venue is a typical pizzeria-type. No nonsense, sufficient - though not necessarily comfortable - seating, and quick turn around. Located downtown between Chinatown and the Theater District and open until midnight, patrons range between Tufts Medical Center employees and young'ns fixing for some food after a night out (or before an all-nighter). Service is pleasant. Staff are nice, and my food was ready quickly. Now for the food. I ordered a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni (picture uploaded). The slices are NY-style and relatively large, so 2 should be more than enough to satisfy the average person. They were generous with the cheese, and despite this, the cheese did not fall off when I folded my slice in half. The sauce was good, but I prefer my pizza to have just a bit more of it. The oil dripped appropriately, and if anything, the pizza was less oily than most. The dough was good, but would benefit from being a bit crispier. The main downside is that relative to the price, the slices are small. Overall, however, the pizza here is solid, and did the trick for satisfying my cravings for pizza from home. (^_^) Options (^_^) Service (^_^) Taste (^_^) Open til midnight (-_-) Bang for buck Glad I came. Will be back.
(4)Audrey H.
Delicious pizza and huge slices! Came late at night for a snack and one slice had me stuffed.
(5)Alice B.
Got a slice of pepperoni and it was great! Liked the crust and it was a huge portion at a reasonable price.
(5)Linus W.
This is an amazing place, especially for tufts university med and dental students. The pizza is great (and the slices are gigantic, and always well heated-up so the cheese is melted). Their burgers are huge, cheap, and well-flavored, and come with a mountain of fries and onion rings. Nothing is too expensive here, and the portion sizes are huge. I'm going to have to try more of their subs and wraps. I almost always pack my lunch most days and eat in the hospital (just because of money reasons), but when I want to treat myself to some good cheap filling food, I come here.
(5)Mike D.
Great place to eat!! Service was awesome and all employees were super nice! Will def come back again!! Pizza is awesome!
(4)Anna C.
I have eaten way too much pizza from here. Not because I think it's particularly great, but because it's the pizza-caterer-of-choice within the Tufts Boston Campus community. And what kind of grad student turns down free pizza? Anyhow, the pizza can be pretty good when it's fresh out of the oven, and at least decent even if it's been sitting in the library as leftovers from some meeting. They get ridiculously busy during lunch, but can still be pretty quick. Ordering online via LivingSocial is a great option if you don't want to deal with the wait. And if you're not digging their pizza, they have a great falafel pocket that is made with pizza dough (i.e. yum!). Plan to make it a take-out order. They have seating in their small space, but it's usually pretty gross in there.
(3)Itanni B.
WiFi password located on right hand side of wall by register. Good pizza, very thin slices, super cheesy, under $3 ($2.85 to be exact) for a pretty big cheese slice, and I think they use cornmeal on their crust, which gives it an added texture. This location was very convenient for me because I was staying next door at Hostelling International and the WiFi at the hostel was down for almost every day of my stay, and this restaurant had good reliable WiFi.
(4)Kirk K.
Haven't had pizza this good in a long while! Spinach pie with chicken and a steak & hummus focaccia sandwich FTW! Seriously, as great as the pizza was, that sandwich should be up for some kind of award, it was that good.
(5)ML B.
I'm so happy and fortunate to live around the corner from this place- truly phenomenal, standout pizza. I have lived in many places around the country and this is fantastic pizza. I cannot recommend enough! We have had so many visitors from around the world and we always make sure to order pizza from them at least once. I could not be more impressed with the consistency of quality.
(5)Dr Rahim F.
We love to grab a slice here whenever im in the mood for pizza. I love it when the slice is crispy and hot out of the oven... yum. Best is its halal.. so they dont use pork products.. might be a downside if u like pork based pepperoni
(5)Daniel W.
If you are walking around in this neighborhood and hungry this place might make you feel better. Greasy cheese slice is ok, not great, but good crust. It does the trick, especially if you've been drinking. Watch out for vagrants who want your money.
(3)Wei Z.
The medium size is enough for 2 people. And we ordered a Bostonian Pizza, fantastic I should say. The cheese and chicken and a little sweet+sour~
(4)Ji Won K.
...the pizza slice is huge! definitely on the greasier side but it works-- it's more thin crust than anything else but the sauce and breadiness of the crust is what makes it so good--it's chewy and definitely a bit different that the "usual" slice. I went back for seconds the next day--
(3)Kimiko L.
My favorite local pizza. It's always fast, hot, and delicious. The employees are nice and it's super convenient. I love pizza and I love this place!!
(5)Xiao Z.
My sincerest apologizes for taking so long to write this review, but this place deserves all of my loyal patronage for the past 2 years while living as a medical student. Of all of the places to cater food for my events, Boston Kitchen Pizza have delivered some of the best paninis and pizzas I've ever had the pleasure of eating since moving into Chinatown. For those of you reaching for your proverbial pitchforks and torches and holy-than-thou crusade against Boston pizzas, I really enjoyed the food here and it's a really solid place to grab some lunch in between classes and rounds. The vegetarian pizzas, although very delicious, are often oversaturated with toppings and can end up a bit soggy, so avoid the Farmer's Pizza. But everything else is great! Don't even get me started on the paninis because this review will never end. Food: 4 stars Price: 4 stars Location: 4 stars Service: depends on who you get, but be careful of lunch rush!
(5)Ally G.
The people who work behind the counter are the friendliest I've ever encountered at a pizza place before! The food is great and always consistent. Their falafel is actually some of the best I've had and I love the pocket they serve it in! Also, for a pizza place in downtown crossing there is a decent amount of seating.
(4)Carlos M.
Delicious pizza and some of the best crust I've ever had (and this is from a native New Yorker). The pizza can be a bit greasy, but it's delicious. The place gets crazy around lunch time so I'd recommend getting food to go. My favorite is the buffalo chicken slice.
(5)Angel S.
Food quality is great. I usually order for delivery but I have heard good things about the staff and ambience. Good portions and good taste. Interior design can be better and things can be modernized, but otherwise good.
(5)T D.
Three words: Buffalo Chicken Pizza. You will not be disappointed.
(5)Eric R.
Fantastic pizza; the slices are unbelievably huge! Wraps, and sandwiches are great as well. Fair price too! I would recommend this place highly.
(5)Justin G.
This place is a fantastic, no frills, NY style pizza shop. They also make great middle-eastern-ish food. Their falafel is very tasty as are their wraps and pasta dishes. This is my go to neighborhood pizza place. They cater too. Highly recommend.
(4)Lauren K.
I am currently OBSESSED with the buffalo chick pizza here. I seriously think I have a problem because i think about this pizza almost 24 hours a day. Thankfully, I live a block away which allows me to eat here frequently. I'm actually eating the buffalo pizza as I type. Added bonus? The customer service is also great and the owner is such a sweetheart. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!
(5)Charlie M.
What a disappointment. This was the worst pizza we had eaten in many years.
(1)Joshua M.
Massive tasty slices. My girl and I went in after a night of drinking. He was just closing up but let us in. We asked for two slices of cheese pizza and he gave them to us with no charge. He said because he was shutting he had nothing better to do with them. We where so surprised and great full we put money in his tip jar, almost the amount they would have been. Thank you so much. What a gear way to end our first night in Boston. :)
(5)Doug B.
I'm sure the pizza is great. But they don't actually deliver and should remove that from their site.
(2)Tim A.
since moving to boston 6 months ago, we had been searching for NYC quality pizza and COULD NOT find it. Finally, BKP which is 4 blocks from our apt, was found. Great salad, great pepperoni pizza and most of all, the young man who's family owns the restaurant couldn't have been more polite and customer service focused. His parents should be proud of how much pride he takes in running their business. It will be our regular pizza place.
(5)John S.
Best in Boston. Fast. Super food. Best pizza! Do it!
(5)John M.
One of the best pizza in town, try caesar chicken wrap also ,very delicious.
(5)Daniel D.
Enormous, delicious pizza slices. Something like $2.75 for a cheese and $3.50 for one with toppings - nearly twice as large as a regular slice. I've been looking for the right pizza place in Boston for several months now, and am thrilled to report that I've finally found it.
(5)Marissa A.
The crust of their pizza is light and flaky and the amount of cheese, sauce and toppings is always just enough. I try to venture out of my comfort zone (i.e. veggie pizza), so I decided to try the Bostonian. It has chicken marinated in a honey garlic glaze and sesame seeds (probably an Asian take of Chinatown), crushed red pepper (spicy element!), white vinegar (sour kick), and cheese. Just to let you know, there is no sauce on this pizza. And it doesn't need it either. It will definitely be a repeat order. Ordered a side of wing dings as well - which are basically perfectly fried chicken wings. They give you a choice of dipping sauces. Great for 'on the go' food!
(4)Brett A.
Great pizza slices. Hot, fresh and fast. Very friendly service. Gets crowded around noon.
(4)Anam P.
Delicious pizza, and it's a good halal option too.
(5)Diane K.
This is really good pizza. If you order anything else, it's going to take a while to make--but once it comes out: very good! Come here for taste, not for ambiance. It's divey for sure, not very clean. But did I mention tasty?
(4)Jennifer C.
Adding another star! Ate here again today and it was excellent. Very friendly staff and awesome food! Those mozzarella sticks are to die for! My favorite pizza/sub place in the neighborhood!
(5)Gabby C.
Bomb pizza with excellent customer service. Had a pizza by the slice. Hit the spot and they were very fast with bringing the food out. Convenient and close to our hotel as well.
(5)Michael D.
Not bad at all... but then again, it's hard to mess up pizza. You can get a HUGE slice for a little over 3 bones. It's a little greasy, but you can always dab it with a couple of napkins! The crust is thin and crispy, yet hearty and filling enough to last ya a few hours. I've only tried the buffalo chicken, but I'll be comin back to try more!
(4)Martin R.
Pizza is ok, but very greasy. They claim to deliver but really only if they feel like it. I just asked them to deliver to residence opposite revere hotel, but was denied, despite my plea to the contrary. Needless to say, that's pretty pathetic if they won't deliver a mere 5 blocks away. I could walk there, but after a 12 hour flight back to Boston I don't want to go anywhere, just want food delivered. Pity.
(3)Brittni R.
Had a great experience here. The staff was very friendly and the pizza is awesome. Huge slices and tastes great. Will come back again.
(4)Renee B.
I was staying at the hostel next door and went to Boston Kitchen Pizza twice. The first night at the hostel they had a Superbowl party and ordered pizza and wings but I wasn't sure if they ordered from BKP or not. I confirmed it the next day when I stopped in to get some falafel. Their falafel is very good. I ordered it as a side with fries. The tahini was ok, but they went better with the honey mustard I got for my fries, lol. The next day I stopped in and got a eggplant parmigiana sub. That was delicious too! Aside from great food, I MUST say that they have the greatest customer service!!! I'm originally from Boston and am returning after 15 years. People give (us) Northerners a bad wrap.
(5)Brandon M.
This place is really the only delivery/carry out pizza that I find acceptable in Downtown Boston. They kept the prices reasonable and the meals delicious. This place blows New York Pizza out of the water and has really good homemade entrees to supplement the delicious NY style pizza. Food is always ready fast, in most cases 15 minutes. My favorite is the favorites for pizza is the bostonian, for entrees I always go with the eggplant parm, which is 100% homemade, making it my go to when looking for good old fashioned red sauce cheesy deliciousness. All this and more at some of the best prices around, the only thing I would warn against is the dine in option, the room can get crowded and people that frequent this place are quite annoying.
(4)Marym M.
"The Bostonian" pizza craving hits me every so often and I just don't want anything else until I get my hands on some! This pizza is super delish, from the toppings down to the bread. Oh, and the sizes are generous for the price! I also live right around the corner, but they are still always willing to deliver to me and they even waive the delivery minimum if they're not busy! They've never made a mistake on my orders and the people who answer the phone are always friendly and understanding. 5 stars for excellent taste in their food, 5 stars for great customer service, 5 stars for the best delivery experience I've ever had! Thanks BKP!
(5)Muhanad H.
Buffalo chicken pizza is to die for. Huge slices They use beef bacon rather than regular bacon Favorite orders are: 1. Buffalo chicken pizza 2. Pepperoni and Mushroom pizza (No Pork!) 3. Chicken parm sub 4. Chicken pesto wrap 5. Steak and cheese sub 6. Chicken tenders
(4)
