Burritos have never failed me. I love the non traditional burrito aspect. My absolute fave is the Bangkok thai...I usually order this 9/10.

Now that they have a new grain offering - farro due to their new Charred Broccoli salad - I decided to opt for it as the base of my goloco bowl in place of my more recent quinoa, and my previous norm brown rice. Unfortunately, however, they have the farro set up at the far end of the line up, and so the farro ended up being a garnish to my bowl instead of the base. The counter length of this Boloco is a bit on the short side, with a lack of space at the foot, so when they get busy, the waiting customers tend to pile up on one another.

This place offers a good variety of burritos, you can choose the meat you want, the size of burrito and add some extras. It's good if you are Downtown Boston and hungry!

The soda machine is almost always broken or missing syrup that the majority of staff are too incompetent to fix. The food is good here though. It would be nice if this place was cleaned a little more.

Great service. Ordered online. When got there they had not received order. Should them email confirmation and they made order quickly. Food was good. Will definitely order again from here.

Another poor performance from another boloco downtown. I asked for a buffalo burrito, I take it to go, expect all the yummieness and deliciousness of a burrito with tangy buffalo and soothing blue cheese dressing. But I get nothing. AGAIN!!!! It happens again. So annoyed by these boloco locations where you ask for something and you get a dry ass burrito in return. So dry it pained me to enjoy it. So frustrated. And it's the worst because since I take it to go, there is no way to rectify my order. It's not like I'm going to go back down and replace it. Just very frustrated by the lack of attention you get from these places. This is the 3rd time this specific incident has happened to me.

Every time I try this place again I get reminded why I hate it. The employees seem to hate their job...they get annoyed if you ask a question. Like ummmm can I please add an extra ingredient without you rolling your eyes!! Please and thank you

Big fan of Boloco. Ordered online today and though my food was good, my order actually wasn't right. There was definitely celery and blue cheesy stuff missing. In spite of that, still good food and I'll definitely be going back.

Normally, I'm pretty ok with Boloco. For lunch or dinner, they provide decent options for the vegan and vegetarian inclined. This is why I came here for breakfast. Unfortunately, the breakfast options were decidedly not vegan friendly, which was disappointing. I would have happily ordered one of the lunch options but they wouldn't make any of them. Bummer.

LOVE this place. The food is fantastic!! They have gluten-free and soy-free options! I definitely would love to go back. Way better than Chipotle. GREAT prices. Great food quality for what you get. Great fast option for food allergies ;) Mexican food that is safe? I never can find this. I got an original bowl with a whole bunch of fixings and was very happy. Thanks to my brother for the delicious lunch! They did mess up my order though (and gave me chicken instead of the grass-fed steak), but it's forgivable. I wasn't going to have them make me a whole new bowl when mine was perfectly fine except that they subbed chicken for beef. I never got the story on this (I used the restroom as our orders came out), but I just assume it was a mix up. GO here, go to Boloco!

Never tried Boloco before but I figured I get one before they closed at 4pm (a FiDi normality that I think is insane). I didn't know the menu that well, so I was kind of confused when I saw that there were Buffalo, Thai, Teriyaki and other options that I don't think fit the burrito culture. I like simple burritos container simple Mexican food. I ordered the Thai one and got guacemole on it (weird I know). Food was good, but I just didn't understand any of the menu or why they would even allow the options. Too confnusing, I'll stick with one of the other countless burrito places around Boston.

I am a big fan of Boloco anyway, but after moving from Medford to Charlestown I haven't been to one in a while. Last week while waiting for the gf to get out of work I killed a little time here and had a Teriyaki wrap. OMG!!! So friggin' good!!! What made this visit extra special? The staff here is awesome, the Spanish lady that helped me was very friendly and clearly took great pride in cleanliness. Then the kicker-great Wi-Fi signal for free. I would and will come back here in a heartbeat!!!! Do keep in mind, this place closes promptly at 4pm.

Great for a quick lunch--when all you can manage is to stuff your face with something like a 'takes no effort to even chew' burrito. Their buffalo chicken one is great and perfectly spicy, while their Chicken Teriyaki and Thai-style burritos are a little odd but surprisingly tasty. I'm a fruit smoothies gal, so if a place makes fruit smoothies with REAL fruit (very few do), they climb to the top of my list instantly. Sure, the fruit may not exactly be fresh from the grocer's, but it's REAL fruit! Not ice mixed with grossly sweet syrup that's been sitting in a bottle for a year. So when I can't get my Jamba fix, Boloco does it well enough to keep the fruit smoothie addict shakes away. Yes, I love smoothies just that much.

Ive been only one time but I thought it curious there are no posted prices on the menu board. Did I not see them? Anyway I was shocked to find I had ordered at lunchtime what appeared to be a modest sized salad that cost $11.00. Sorry I wont be back. I can get much better salads elsewhere for much more reasonable prices. I will add that the salad was very delicious, with creative ingredients, and well made. And compliments also go to the staff who are very friendly and helpful.

Bolocco is a really good quick and relatively affordable healthy lunch alternative to inexplicable over abundance of those odd tasteofthetownofcourse delis in the area. This particular bolocco stands out for their quick and super friendly service. Line moves very quickly and no matter how busy it gets they have NEVER messed up my order. Most importantly this is the only fast food/chain restaurant that i know of that offers healthy options. Not only can you choose brown instead of white rice or whole wheat instead of white tortillas but the meat (chicken, beef and pork) are not just organic but grass fed and CERTIFIED HUMANE. Finally i can sleep at night.

Ok, so I used to dislike Boloco. I don't know why, exactly, buy I just was not a fan of their burritos. I swore them off like 5 years ago. Somehow, things have changed. Drastically. I think I've had their burritos like 5 times in the past 2 weeks. It's the buffalo tofu. God, that thing's good. Plus they have good iced tea, lots of seating, compostable containers, locations everywhere, nice service, the Boloco card... I could go on and on. Sorry, Boloco, for hating on you for so long. You didn't deserve that. I'm so glad you will have me back!

The Burrito gets a 3 star, but the lemon drink that sounded very good is very bad. It was like a Mojito without the alcohol. Boston needs a southern californian to open an authentic burrito place.

Boloco in this location is absolutely amazing! Such wonderful staff and so fast! The atmosphere too is great here, with all the business men and women and the huge windows, it's perfect for people watching!

Since writing my last review, I've noticed a considerable change in the attitudes of the staff at Boloco's Federal St location. Where once I was routinely greeted with sullen looks, I can now confidently say that those looks have turned to smiles and pleasant small talk. This is exactly what I was hoping for since the food is so good that I could not have stopped going there soley based on the service. I'm pretty sure I'm addicted to the Huevos Chorizo breakfast burrito with Habanero salsa; it is to die for! Thanks Kristen!

Why is this Boloco different from all other Bolocos? At other Bolocos, you may find yourself in long lines and have extended wait times to get your burrito fun on. At this Boloco, service is speedy and you and your burritos (or whatever you happen to choose) are partying together as fast as you can say, "fiesta!" At other Bolocos, you can order anything from tofu to buffalo chicken; choose from lots of vegetables, and cheese galore. At this Boloco, you get all that too - but served to you by the friendliest staff in town. At other Bolocos, you can treat yourself to a healthy, tasty smoothie. At this Boloco, you can buy your smoothie and then sit outside on one of the many tables and enjoy the sunshine and do some serious people-watching, which is top notch in the financial district!

3 star burritos, but 4 star overall. There's not alot of places where you can run in and pretty quickly get a burrito (whole wheat tortillas, brown rice and white meat chicken all options) customized how you like it for under 7 or 8 bucks (AND IT'S ON NEWBURY where everything is a bit more expensive as it should be) Recommended as good, quick comfort food.

I found Boloco's to be similar to Chipotle--it's very clean inside, and basically all they sell is burritos. They're a little different than Chipotle because they have smoothies and salads (which I don't think Chipotle has?) I also noticed that they're environmentally friendly because they have plenty of recycling bins and all of their utensils and plates are biodegradable. I got the Mediterranean burrito, which had tomatoes, olives, feta cheese, hummus, and chicken. It tasted really healthy and I liked the combination of ingredients, but it didn't taste anything like Mexican food hahaa. I think Boloco's is a good choice if you're craving a burrito and want to eat semi-healthy!

Despite rave reviews about Boloco, I am not a fan of the food, but I like the company. I had tried it when it was The Wrap and had been wanting to sample it after the change. Some friends and I got food and sat in a square near my office and I was so disappointed. I got the Teriyaki Wrap - Teriyaki sauce, caramelized onions, broccoli, carrots, rice, whole wheat tortilla. I was so excited for this and then I got it... TEENY (fine for then because I was somewhat full), but just not great. I don't know what it was - maybe because the veggies were raw? I don't know. But I won't be getting it again. My friends got salads. Size-wise they were decent: not huge, but not teeny tiny. One got the Greek Salad - Lettuce, feta cheese, black olives, red onions, Greek dressing. He didn't eat the dressing (gotta save up for that ice cream!) and LOVED his. The other got the Chinese Chicken Salad - Lettuce, grilled chicken, rice noodles, almonds, sesame seeds, scallions, Chinese dressing. He was thoroughly disappointed too! There were definitely NO rice noodles or sesame seeds in this and I don't remember seeing almonds! I tried his and after one bite, thrust it back, shaking my head. I did not like it either. I do LOVE that they have all their nutritional information on the site. Even to the point where you can find out how the values change if you add/take things away! The other thing I didn't like was that according to their site, the Chinese Chicken salad is ridiculously fattening and it is not big and contained basically just chicken and lettuce, and the sauce looked like oil! How is it over 800 calories?! Maybe their nutritional calculator is wrong? Definitely not instilling much confidence in me, Boloco! However, I went on the website and submitted some feedback, saying how disappointed I was in the calories for that salad, among other things. 2 days later I got a personalized response from their CEO & co-founder, which makes me like them, despite not liking the food: I loved the fast, personal response and the offer of freebies to make it up to me. Since I don't have a card and didn't really like the food, I went back and forth with him. We finally agreed that the 2 free meals would be given to a homeless man who always gets food from one location for his friends. The entire experience just made me feel really good about the company, despite not being a fan of the food.

Summer burrito in a wheat tortilla with fajita veggies? YUMMY!! I crave these! I have never had anything but fast friendly service, the food is always fresh and delicious abd the location doesn't hurt (across from my office..) I don't quite get the criticisms about the foil wrap and the "sterile impersonal" feel but Boloco is a GREAT option when you just cannot eat another salad or sandwich.

Boloco=God. No, seriously. Go here. And get a burrito. Guarantee you'll want another one tomorrow. I always get te classic Mexican bowl with guac & a skim Nutella smoothie. It's sooooo amazing. The employees are always super friendly, fast, and seem to be happy at work, unlike a few other lunch places in the financial district that I won't mention. My boyfriend & I frequent this loation about once a week, and we always see Jose, who is super friendly and remembers us by name!!! Xoxox we love you guys! :)

The staff here are among the best in the financial district. I feel good about supporting this business. Almost everything they do -- from environmental initiatives to support of local events -- makes me want to spend more of my money here. The staff all seem genuinely happy, which makes me think it's not a crummy place to work. Everyone loves the teriyaki and the Bangkok thai, but I count the Yucatan Habanero as my favourite. Also, semi-hidden burrito is the Mediterranean, which is on the salads menu but you can get as a rice burrito. The black bean hummus gets an A+.

Updating from 2-3 as owner sent a nice note and welcomed me back. Not in Boston often, but will give it another shot when i am. life is good.... this place is not. like their stance on recycling and giving back. food was meh, and order was wrong to boot. nothing wrong with it... but should be better. btw-'my mexican bowl burrito was more like a chicken dinner... not giving me a whole chicken would have been ok. sorry but not a fan.

I try to go here whenever I'm in downtown Boston. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews-- if you ever walk past their window, the PACKED tables and long line should speak for themselves. This place is never, ever, ever empty. So I decided to write a review for people who look at reviews before they go to obviously awesome places like Boloco. I was going to give them four stars, but why would I? The burritos aren't cheap, but it's not like they're pricey. I've never found the ingredients wanting; they're always delicious, actually. There's no reason to order online, and I never have. The portions are the perfect size (today's "small" was yesterday's "normal", cause apparently Americans just can't be satisfied, but that's cosmetic.) Comparing the food to Chipotle is blasphemous, as the portions at Boloco are always perfect and never totally out of whack like the McDonalds-owned chain. And Boloco has the Jimmy Carter smoothie! Makes me thirsty just to think about it! I guess the only reason I would give this place four stars is that they don't have a location in my town, and that's not fair. So, yes, this is another five-star Boston experience.

If you're new to what it means to be gluten-free at Boloco, ask the person with whom you place your order to show you the list of g-free options. Many of the pre-designed wraps are available in a "naked" g-free state, or you can create your own. The "protein" options (chicken, steak, tofu, etc) are all g-free, as are the beans and rice and many of the salsas and guacs. Make sure you ask for the server to change his/her gloves before s/he makes your wrapless-wrap. Gluten is out to get you any way it can. I have gotten slightly glutenated here a few times, and I'm not sure how. Suspect it has something to do with cross-contamination and pesky wheat tortilla dust somehow accumulating in the other ingredients. If I show up at the end of the lunch rush, this is more likely to happen than if I show up the moment the place opens. That said, it generally goes a-ok and I am a frequent customer because it's a quick and easy lunchtime option, and there are so many locations....

This is close to where I work, so it has become a favorite for a lot of us in the office. Their summer burrito never fails me, even during the winter. One thing that lots of people have mentioned is that yes, it gets HECTIC during lunch rush hour, since its in the middle of the Financial District/Downtown Boston. Get their before 12 or after 1, and you will be golden. Great place for a lunch treat, when I don't want to make my own and bring it into the office.

  • Irene H.

The menu was pretty daunting. I grabbed a "small" summer burrito for a quick lunch and it was the perfect portion. Give me more and I'll still eat it all. There was a deal going on so I added $1.95 for a mini smoothie. I went right before the lunch rush. The service was fast. The food was fresh. Thumbs up.

Alright Boloco, you win. After my last few times, I knew it'd be a while before I returned. After eating bean salad for lunch six days straight, I finally ran out and decided to eat out to celebrate. Boloco popped into my head, and I placed an online order. Getting there at 11:20, the place is dead, but I know that within an hour, it will be a mob scene. I guess I didn't specify what type of wrap (flour or wheat) so I was asked for that, and they made it right away so I wouldn't have a long wait. My medium size was perfect enough to fill me up, but not make me feel like I swallowed a brick of rice and beans. Took out the tofu (save a buck!) and add in guac (adda buck!) and I was pleased with the pricing. After a coworkers suggestion, I looked into the smoothies. A custom soy smoothie looked great - soy milk, mango juice, blueberry, cranberry, and honey. So delicious, not too much to make me feel sick, and a good complement for my meat free meal in terms of nutrition. The site also has a nutrition calculator, so you can plan out what you are eating. Much appreciated. Now, the wrap was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The smoothie was a step up, and I really liked it. I want to give a 3.5, but will round up for Boloco this time. I guess I'll add this place back t my regular routine.

I was waiting for my husband and got the craving for something to snack on. I ordered a class chicken Mexican burrito. The size (small) was decent for a snack, which I ended up splitting with my husband when he got there. They were super nice and substituted some items at my request without any problems. The burrito was tasty and warm, although I would have liked a little bit more of a kick to the whole thing. Overall, not a bad experience. With all the choices you have down in the financial district, it was a hit for me!

You know what's good about the burittos from this place? They are well-wrapped: You can actually EAT them! Know what I mean? Yah well, check out my review for "Herrera's" and you'll see what I mean!!! They make the burritos here and wrap them up so perfectly tight in tin foil that it makes them a solid sandwich that is easy to eat. THIS is how it should be, folks! Their little lunch-boxes have chips and salsa which are fresh and compliment the sandwich/burrito. I had a terriyaki beef burrito (Does that even make sense!?!) and it was all right. I wasn't too impressed with the flavors, but the meat was perfectly lean: no unchewable bits of fat here! And the sandwich was so perfectly formed that I could easily eat it without spilling anything. You just kinda unwrap the foil as you go. No mess. I recommend it!

Great menu: not just Mexican burritos, but lots of other interesting and cool types of burritos as well. Pretty much everything can be made vegetarian, and the tofu is really well-seasoned and delicious, not just some bland spongy hunks. Weight watchers points for every menu item are listed on the website. At this location, service is friendly and the line moves really quickly. Ample seating, which puts it above most places in the area. And if you get a card, they take good care of you with nice freebies from time to time.

I'm upgrading Boloco a star because they've done some pretty impressive things in the year since I last reviewed them. 1) They've become a Certified Green restaurant, an honor held by only a handful of other establishments in this town. 2) They did this by adding biodegradable/recyclable cups and bowls and encouraging recycling in their cafes. 3) They've also added a lot of food-conscious language to their menu - i.e. offering organic tofu and organic free-range chicken. 4) They're about to wrap up a killer promotion for their anniversary whereby they offered burritos and smoothies at killer prices - we're talking $3 for burritos and $2 for smoothies - making it possible for me to eat a freshly-prepared, organic lunch for less than I could prepare it for at home. In the middle of an economic crisis. Awesome job, Boloco. 5) They seem to really care about what people write in their Yelp reviews and are eager to please. So, you got me, Boloco. Not because you offered me $1 burrito coupons when I wasn't totally satisfied with your product, but because you're doing right by the environment and your community, which I really admire. That said, please add more vegetables to the Bangkok wrap. I always have to add them and it tastes way better with broccoli, peppers and onions. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I have to update these guys to 5 stars because of the awesome customer service not only at the Federal Street store but also in the corproate office. They are always looking to enhance your experience with free menu items and a commitment to fix anything that may not have gone the right way! Good job Boloco, keep up the great work and thanks for the free Late November burrito! boloco.com/keep-up/promos

I really like Boloco, I just think its a little deceiving. I am a vegetarian so to have baked organic tofu as an option of filler is quite a treat. When I started working at my office right across from South Station I would go almost everyday! I was so happy to have a variety of wrap choices all that I thought were healthy for me. Well, at least not THAT bad for me. Sitting in a cubical all day, I do have to watch what I eat, and I was under the impression that I was having a healthy lunch...then I went on the website and looked at the "nutritional facts builder" and was shocked and appalled to find out my tofu wraps I had been eating all topped at least 25 grams of fat. I wasn't adding sour cream, or doing anything fancy...its just how they are. I must say, that the Teriyaki & Classic are not that bad for you, and taste really good..weighing in between 7 to 15 grams of fat (that's for a regular with tofu and wheat wrap)...not bad. I def think Boloco is a good quick lunch, but for those of you watching what you eat...make sure you go online to their website and check out what you're really eating. And for those of you who don't care...MMMM...enjoy! ;-) Oh, I forgot to add, you can call in or place your order on-line for a lot of the locations. Super convenient. =)

Perfect breakfast or lunch spot for anyone working in the financial district. Food is consistently great - my favorites are the Truck Stop breakfast burrito and the Classic Mexican burrito at lunch - and the service is always very quick. Staff is top notch, unfailingly courteous and friendly. Best chocolate chip cookies in Boston.

I've now been to this place three times over the past year. I've yet to have a positive experience, but I want to like the place based on the menu. The food itself seems ok. My problem is that the restaurant has *yet* to get my order right. Three visits, three custom orders--all wrong. And not just one missing ingredient. Today, I ordered a carnitas burrito with fajita vegetables, no rice, habanero salsa, and sour cream. I got a carnitas burrito with rice and habanero salsa. Three strikes and you're out, Boloco.

This Boloco kind of pales in comparison to my beloved Boloco on the Commons. Yes, the food is exactly the same, but the service just isn't as good. I mean, the guys behind the counter get the job done, but they don't know my name or make conversation like the guys at Boloco on the Commons do. But when I'm at work and in need of a burrito fix, this place will still do just fine. Yes the burritos are delicious. I've just come to expect more from my Boloco experiences that's all.

Its only two min away from my work location. It has got nice Barito. Especially for vegetarian like me, its really good place. I used to eat Chipotle (In Cleveland, Ohio.. they have big chain..) . Here I didn't find Chipotle in nearest place, they I started to try Qdoba, its good but then I got bored, actually I didn't like the black beans and vegetables they provide, So One day I decided to check this place, They have got perfect quantity of beans and vegetables, and now it is one of the my favorite place. they are open from 7to4

Boloco is like a breath of fresh air from all the sandwiches i eat for lunch. i really dig any of their burritos esp. the buff chicken with hot sauce and most recently the summer. i dig getting it "bowled", not that i need to exclude those calories, but its just a relly nice way to eat it. the lines are always out the door but services moves quick and if they get your order wrong, they correct it right away. you can get free water and if you are like my friend, you sneak a cup a soda here and there..heh heh . but dont tell them that!

One of my regular lunch spots, I used to absolutely love the Buffalo Chicken wrap (with brown rice and whole wheat tortilla.) I tried the Memphis BBQ this summer and now it is my favorite Boloco meal. I get mine in a bowl with brown rice. I live in Metrowest and it's great that Boloco has a location near the Natick Collection (of what...overpriced stores nobody shops at?) Anyway, they're open until 10 pm in Natick, good for those nights when you're running late.

This place is the best!!!! -They wish me a great day and they actually mean it. -They have a frequent shopper card that actually seems to give me a lot of free things. -They have free range chicken, whole wheat tortillas, brown rice, and super fresh food. -They use corn based cups that are 100% biodegradable. -They promote recycling in the store and only give you a couple of napkins to reduce waste. -They have outdoor seating in Downtown Boston -They have the perfect hangover reducer: the mini Truck Stop.

I tried to use my free birthday burrito but the credit card machines were down and they couldn't scan my rewards card. Kind of annoying, since the only reason I went in there that day was to get a free meal. What the frack, Boloco!

Edit: Free burrito day: Stil Meh. Cajun to me means spicy. Here it means tastes like summer burrito (nothing much). Same cashier, GREAT personality, called me "Daniel my dear" which I approve of. The Jimmy Carter smoothie completely saved this trip. I will go back for smoothies. Not so much for burritos. ------------------------------- I was underwhelmed with the food. I went in starved and ready to throw down on some burrito mania...alas I was met with a big fat meh. I got the summer "burrito" with tofu. First, you can't taste anything on its own, it's sort of a mish-mash of flavor. Hi, there's supposed to be mango in here. Second, why is the tofu pink? :-/ All-in-all it's ok, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. The service was fast enough and the cashier was actually super nice so there's that at least. Apparently my receipt will fetch me a free burrito tomorrow so maybe after waiting in a line that's sure to stretch to New Hampshire I'll try something different and see.

This week, I got to try a sandwich at yet another downtown sandwich shop, Boloco Inspired Burritos, on Federal Street. I was impressed. Boloco is a nice and clean restaurant with a small seating area. I did not try their traditional burrito. Taking the advice of a friend, I tried the Bangkok Chicken. It was delicious. It was on the sweeter side, with its peanut sauce. It came in a wrap and with rice. Cucumbers in the rice added an extra crunch. I must say, I am impressed and will visit it again, soon.

Long lunch hour lines are pretty much guaranteed come rain or shine at this financial district spot. As a result, the service and process is down pat, friendly, yet quick. Goes without saying that their lunch options are many (burritos, bowls, salads, wraps, and sides to choose from) and delicious, especially for the price. Same goes with their smoothie selection - my favorite being the Jimmy Carter. Go ahead and give it a try - you'll be thinking about it every time for days. I'm not that much of a fan of the breakfast, though some people swear by it.

There is nothing unpleasant about these burritos, but you could go up the street to the Herrera's cart at Downtown Crossing and get one twice as good for the same price. Just saying. Despite the menu of fusion burritos, the flavors here are not thrilling. Though Boloco markets itself as a "different" chain, the place feels as sterile, impersonal and mainstream as any other. And the bottom of my tortilla was twisted into the foil, which clamped the last inch of burrito with an ungodly death grip. The foil won.

Don't be scared when you walk up and the line is out the door - these guys are quick and efficient. I love the Cajun with dark meat chicken, brown rice and a wheat wrap. My boss loves this place as well. If you're eating in front of someone who you don't want to think you're a complete slob, order it in a bowl instead of a wrap and it's much less messy to eat. If you need an afternoon pick me up, get the Jimmy Carter smoothie. I get it with blueberries sometimes, YUM. I've heard great things about their breakfast from coworkers, but haven't tried it yet.

best burrito in boston, by far. my recommendation: the classic, hold the beans, extra hot sauce (on the side) and guac (on the side). splurge for the white meat chicken. the hot sauce might be the best part of this place, homemade and amazing, like their newly redesigned guacamole.

I know you love Mexican - You want a Burrito - I know, but.... PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO TO BOLOCOS It should be called Bull - Shitos. Overpriced, horribly horribly made. Straight up SUCKS. Been to 2 locations in different states, one in MA one in NH, the 2nd time because I had a free burrito coupon because my first burrito sucked so much. Both sucked. If in Boston, Go to Anna's. Just dont Boloco man, and don't let your friends Boloco either.

I've had a few different burritos from here and they've all been good, but not great. The best one so far is the buffalo chicken with all white meat. The convenient part is it's right next to my work. 3 stars, worth a shot if you're in the area. Update - I've went through the menu more, had some other burritos and even tried some of the smoothies. I'm adding an extra star - this place is growing on me.

Non-fat, skim milk, NUTELLA shake - yummmmm! I seriously go out of my way to visit Boloco just for the shake. The food is good too though. Tons of burrito options including brown rice and wheat tortillas! I also really dig the slightly spicy mango salsa. A definite good spot for a quick work day lunch!

I'm a fan of Mexcan food anyway, but as far as chain-food-places go, this one is above par. Clean, efficient location, with decent food.

I am a big fan of the burritos, but I wanted to talk about the chocolate chip cookies. The cookies are one of the best if not the best chocolate chip cookie downtown. When I first saw the cookie, I hesitated ordering one having recently tasted one from Milk Street Cafe which was horrible, I tossed the cookie after one bite. What a difference, Boloco's cookie was crunchy outside and soft inside, and depending on the time of day usually has gooey chocolate morsels inside. What a treat.

This is an inspired eatery! I can't stress enough how awesome it is that there is a local chain that is this vegetarian / vegan friendly, and is run by people who seem to actually care about their business, and THE WORLD. I'm addicted to the Tofu Bangkok. Nom. Not a week goes by where I don't GO LOCO.

Eh, what can I say, I wasn't that impressed. I guess my hopes were raised by all of the really positive reviews here on Yelp. Don't get me wrong, it was good - it just wasn't anything special. Maybe I'm just being ornery today and wasn't really in the mood for a burrito, but I feel like there are many better places around here for lunch. If I've got a hankering for a burrito, I can definitely wait until I get home and get one from Anna's. It was a nice enough place - clean and all, and the service was fast, but I'm here for the food. They could kick me in the nuts as long as they gave me a good enough meal. I'm still looking for an excellent place down here for wraps (other than falafel, that's covered). A nice buffalo chicken or hummus wrap would go a long way toward making working in the financial district a little less loathsome.

I agree with some of the reviewers. The food is okay. Definately not great. Very pricy for what you actually get. I'm used to big fat cheap burritos from many great restaurants nearby so I wasn't happy when I got my skinny "inspired" burritos. I'm probably not coming back.

I LOVE BOLOCO!!! I have seriously never eaten a wrap or a burrito in my life before coming here. (Is that weird?)... anyway, I came in because I got a coupon for a small burrito for a buck. My boyfriend insisted that the Steak Buffalo wrap was the jam, so I tried it and HOLY SPAGHETTI MONSTER all I ever want to eat all day and night is steak buffalo wrap. Warm, enveloping wrap encasing perfectly cooked rice perfectly seasoned beef excellent hot sauce (I'm a snob - hate tabasco) plenty of chopped celery and a very potent blue cheese Heaven. Just ate one. HEAVEN!!!!!!!! BOLOCO puts crack in their rice. I know it. The financial district location is great - don't be intimidated by the line, they work SUPER fast. It's a nice thing to see. I wish starbucks were that fast!

Although I think some of the burrito options here are a little too over-the-top with strange mixes of ingredients (the summer burrito comes to mind), I'll admit that this place does work for me once in a while, when I need a break from the other lunch places in the area. It's nice to have a place to go for some healthy burritos, as well as a nice selection of juice drinks and smoothies. The seating area here is one of the better options in Downtown Boston, especially in the summertime. However, this place is a little too pricey to go here consistently, especially when the burrito comes far from being able to satisfy my hunger in the middle of the day.

Dropped by this hip little place on Federal for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! As it used to be The Wrap (and I l-o-v-e-d the Wrap's smoothies), I was sure it was going to be great! I recommend the "Summer Burrito." In a salute to a 65 degree day in January, I ordered this and absolutely loved the mango salsa in it. I wish they sold it by the gallon. They lose one star for the long line, but until I smarten up and bring my own lunch everyday, this may be my favorite place to go. Yum!

Boloco has the healthiest burritos you can lay your hands on. Brown rice, wheat tortilla, black beans, grilled chicken, and tons of drink options. My fave: the spicy habanero burrito.

  • Steve S.

Went here for lunch today for the first time. Watch your back Chipotle you got some competition! Ordered buffalo chicken burrito with sour cream and habenero sauce. It was a nice option that they offered white or dark meat choice. She ordered the Summer burrito. It was beans, meat, cheese, onions etc. She also got a side of guac. Boloco states that their specialty is guac. Made fresh each day...I am not a huge of guac, but I tried hers and it was good. She thought so as well. Buffalo sauce had a little kick, and hab sauce was hot. It had a sweeter flavor to it as well that I did not care for, but if you like that mango hab flavor this would be right up your alley. When we came in the place was 25% full. By the time we got our food and sat down, there were no extra seats in the place. $20 bucks for an original and small burrito, 2 large cokes, and a side of guac. Money well spent. I would go back.

The pork carnitas burrito here is THE BEST: tender, perfectly seasoned shredded pork and cheese wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Even better with a dash of Chipotle Tabasco sauce. And cheap. Great place to get a tasty burrito fast.

This is my fav of the Bolocos (aka the artist formerly known as the Wrap). They do a very solid job and all of the contents of their wraps seem perfectly cooked. I'm a big fan of the Buffalo and also the Bangkok burrito (though I still say the name awkwardly every time that I order it). One of the most impressive things about this spot is how they bust through the line at lunch. The line will be out the door and it seems like you only have to mait a minute or two before Boloco tastyness is ready to jump in your stomach. The straight-quality wraps fairly priced What's good-well prepared ingredients, fast service The slap-seems like they have been going through a little staff turnover so I have had cashiers that were a little slow.

Great! CHeap! And you can order online! That breakfast burrito is tasty BUT. . . MESSY (due to moist eggs) and be careful eating it or you will stain your shirt and be embarrassed all day long at work! You can order online there and pick it up - super easy and you give your credit card online and that's it!!!

This place is great for hot wraps. I always get the Buffalo Chicken -- sooooo good. The line gets really long during lunch time, but moves pretty quickly. And yes, definitely get the Boloco card to earn points toward a free wrap. You earn $5 just for registering the card online. This location is pretty good compared to others...I've gone to the one on Huntington Ave near NU, but the people who worked there (probably students) don't know much about making a wrap - got to make it tight so it doens't fall apart!!

Love this place! Awesome staff, delicious burritos, and quick service. My personal favorite is the buffalo chicken burrito. Yummy! I am offically a regular at this place. I also have a membership card and they give you free burritos about every 5 times you use it. I spoke with the owner before too and he is very passionate about customer satisfaction. I am a huge fan!!!

Addicted to their burritos. Fast, excellent service; great food & good prices. I'm here at least 2-3 times a week. Would also recommend ordering online - makes getting lunch so easy!

The burritos are tasty. They are on the smaller side though and overpriced. Nothing compared to the ones out in California. Ok for a change of pace during lunch though.

These guys rock. We typically will place an order on-line and they always have it ready. Not only is the team behind the counter quick and efficient, they have a great rapport with the customers. Of course building a great burrito is something they have down perfectly, each and every time!

For some reason I love cheap food because it is tastier and not healthy. I don't care about the burritos at this place, but like the milk shakes that they have. Minus one star for the long lines and the straw/the lids they give. They squeak so much that everybody gives you strange looks.

Everyone loves the smoothies at Boloco (formerly The Wrap), not to mention the delicious wraps and cookies. You choose from the different wraps and then either add chicken, meat, or tofu. Or none of the above. You should get a card so that you can build up to earning a free wrap. This place has ample seating both inside and outside but it does get pretty full around lunchtime. That can be expected in the financial district though so it doesn't take away from how great this place is. I have tried everything on the menu mostly and recommend the teriyaki and mediterranean burritos the most!

  • Tom R.

The place is ok. Not great. When I first moved here I really enjoyed it. Big portions, quality ingredients. Then it went weird. Only dark meat chicken, it seemed like different ingredients and smaller portions but the price stayed the same and actually increased. Then they brought back white meat for a dollar more and it is not the tastiest white meat and the portions are still not what they were. The place is clean and nice for a quick bite to eat. Oh - at another location they have terminals you can order from and they had an employee out there to assist but all she did was act bored, had no desire to truly interact, and must have thought the whole idea of serving people meant to tell them to just use the screen or go inside and not make eye contact or smile.

Lets just get this straight.....I hate chipotle. Really I mean come on its not that good, get over it. Boloco however is the bomb!!!!!!!!!! All natural ingredients and it tastes great. I cannot wait until I get another one of these in my mouth......that's what she said

  • Joshua C.

For a quick bite to eat that's healthy and tasty, it's hard to beat boloco (that is, unless there's a chipotle nearby...but unfortunately they don't have one downtown). I'm a sucker and always get the teriyaki burrito...but I should try to branch out more. The service is quick and efficient, and being able to order online and be able to pick-up the order is light years ahead of other people. AWESOME!

Good place for hot wraps/quick lunches while walking through the city. The Caesar wraps are delicious as are the burritos..all containing fresh ingredients. It's nothing fabulous, but I'd rather eat there than having heavy, greasy food. The prices are good and you can also ask for a Nutella smoothie that tastes like absolute heaven!!!

Tasty. Fast. Good price. Three things that are important for lunch in the Financial District. Even better? They are friendly *and* you can order online to pickup your lunch to-go, or stay to escape the office for a bit.

I ADORE Boloco, particularly this location. It's fast (even if the line is out the door, it's less than five minutes' wait), the burritos are creative and tasty (and they'll do them without the wrap if you're watching weight), and always hot and fresh.

boloco is pretty decent, A+ for originality, I was just at the airport and saw something called currito and it was the exact same menu, I wonder if it's the same owner. but onto the food/service: the service was a mad rush of course during lunch time, but the person taking our order could've been a little more receptive. my friend and I got a original and it was actually pretty filling with a good price. to the ingredients: I had the thai version- it was ok, the peanut sauce lacked flavor and wasn't like a traditional peanut sauce with a hint of sweetness. the slaw also wasn't a stand out either, usually asian slaw is dressed with a asian vinaigrette that makes it pop, this slaw was just like eating a plain cucumber. the chicken though was juicy and enjoyable. my friend who let me try her cajun style was style also was decent. it wasn't anything spectacular, the cajun is just a powder spread over the ingredients (at least use a sauce or something more flavorful). the steak was pretty good as well but again lacked seasoning. i've been to plenty of these types of fancy burrito places, moe's, chipotle, and real authentic mexican mom/pop shops and I feel this place has a lot of potential to spread like wildfire. next time if I go I have to get the original mexican style so I can compare.

Bestest Boloco location ever - I've been to all of them around the Financial District now and this Boloco wins hands down. Their staff are funny and friendly and their burritos are delicious. The buffalo is probably my favorite but this is one of the few places for lunch I am happy to not just get my stand-by at and try other things. yumyumyum! Plus the seating arrangements are good here for small groups or individuals!

just stopped at boloco on federal for my first boloco experience. i had heard mixed reviews so i wanted to try it for myself. i got the goloco (and i went loco). it was great, very good ingredients and certainly hit the spot for lunch. even the kettle cooked chips were bomb, although a little pricey at 1.50 a bag. i will definitely be returning and i even got a loyalty card which i thought was a great idea. go boloco!

Actually really good! Normally, I just love plain old guacamole & sour cream burritos, but I opted for the cajun and it was really good. I also got the tofu, it could've been dried out more but it was good. The soy smoothie was amazing and it's definitely convenience food that hits the spot.

a vendor just brought in a bunch of wraps and burritos for me and my fellow employees. The wrap i ate had rice beans cheese and chicken and it was GREAT! the nacho / torilla chips where kinda bla but man what a great wrap!!! i'll have to figure out where this place is and check them out again!!!!

Great wraps (burritos), great staff, nice atmosphere (now that they've expanded into a second room), and so much fun to use that frequent diner card. I used to have lunch here just about every week, and now it's killing me that I work outside Boston and can't just walk one block to get their great food. A Financial District must-try.

OK, so these aren't the best burrittos in the world, but I'm addicted to this place for Lunch while at work. It's a decent value and everyone that works there is absoultely the nicest. If I ever won the Lottery, I'd run down ther eand give each of them a $1000 tip on the spot, they are that nice! The Buffalo chicken wrap is addictive, so be careful. As a guy, I can polish off a small in 4 bites, but still be satisfied. I'm also convinced that these things cure hangovers as well as other common drinking related aches and pains; just a nice added bonus!.

Boloco is so great. My advice: GET A BOLOCO CARD! I really don't eat here that often but I've gotten a bunch of free menu items and when you get the free card and register it online you get any free menu item. Plus you use the card every time you eat there and get points towards more free stuff. They made a mistake on my burrito once, I called and then went back for a replacement and not only did they have my replacement ready to go but they refunded my money and gave me a coupon for a burrito for a dollar! This is all without any complaining on my part, just asking for a simple replacement burrito. Their organic tofu is really good and it's worth the extra dollar for guacamole, it's delicious! The Jimmy Carter shake is really good, too. Also, true about the line, it moves really fast and the food seems to be better when it's busy.

Anyone who has lived in Boston for more than 5 years would know that Boloco used to be called "The Wrap". That's right, they did chicken wraps, steak wraps, and famous for their smoothies. They changed their image overnight and suddenly came back as a Mexican restaurant with burritos? Uh? Their wraps, I mean burritos are awful. The ingredients are not evenly distributed, the flavors are inconsistently, and frankly, they're just not that good. If you want an authentic burrito, go visit one of Herrera's burrito carts over at Winter street next to Macy's or on Washington Street in front of Wendy's.

Everyone at work LOVES this place. I'm not a huge wrap/burrito fan, so I can't say its my favorite. The salads are good though, with a great selection of toppings to keep things interesting. They do have great promotions with the BOloco card, so if you're a fan, keep a look out for free burritos and free $$ on the card!

The staff here is extremely competent and they really know how to handle the crazy lunch crowd. I love that they have brown rice and yummy protein shakes. The boloco card has very generous rewards. If you haven't tried anything yet, this is a must for tasty lunch!
