Absolutely LOVE Bertucci's. As a frequent visitor to Boston, I make sure I stop by every time. The food is always great and the waitstaff is incredibly friendly, definitely worth a stop on your tour around Quincy Market. Their bread and olive oil with herbs is to die for.

They took three-cheese focaccia off the menu. I think that says it all. So disappointed.

The food was alright, pretty standard as far as moderately priced Italian dishes go. Service wasn't all that great. The waitress didn't come by too often and they didn't do much in the way of positive communication. Very routine, very robotic. The restaurant itself was nice, and the seating was comfortable. Noisy though, definitely not a place for a quiet evening. Lower the prices and work on your staff's people skills, I knock it up to three stars.

LOOOOOVE the HOOT bread! LOOOVEEE the olive oil dip!!! LOOOVEEE my Frutti di Mare!! I had a fantastic time here with my friend! My Frutti di Mare was absolutely wonderful, though i would like a little more salt in it. Also, the mussels were overcooked, therefore they were very dry. I love the olive oil dip (if thats what it's called). Our waitress was very nice and helpful since it was my first time there. Toodles!

Come in for a bag of rolls, some meatballs and leave! I have never before received overlooked noodles, but I did here. The meatballs truly were fantastic, but everything else was just gross. The location and server were the bright spots, but save your money and go elsewhere...

When my boyfriend came to visit me in Boston, we originally wanted to go to Yard house but because Boston restaurants are first come first serve and rarely take reservations, we decided to try this place because my roommate had recommended it. This restaurant is extremely large for a Boston restaurant; we were seated quickly (but this was only because no one was there on a Friday night!). We started off with Roasted Artichoke Fonduta which was extremely delicious; however, it is EXTREMELY oily and between this and the copious amounts of free bread given, you'll be full before your entree arrives. Thank goodness, my boyfriend and I were smart enough to split an entree because it was already too much food as is. The entree we chose was eggplant parmesan. It was OH-K. It didn't rock my socks off; to be completely honest, there was not enough seasoning on the pasta or the eggplant parm... We also ordered a side of grilled vegetables which for close to $5, I was expecting more than 1 zucchini, 1 tomato, and 1 mushroom; c'mon! give me my money's worth!!! The service was great; our server was extremely nice and very helpful, but the food which should've been the star of our show was a huge disappointment. Based on how many great restaurants there are in Boston, I don't think I'll be coming here anytime soon.

I love the Berucci's in Boston! It's cheap but really good Italian food! Their sausage soup is phenomenal! It has melted cheese and a little bit of spice. Their raviolis and lasagna are amazing as well! Their deserts are ok.. I really like their bread rolls as well! The seating in the Boston location is cozy and nice, I love it! it's a great place to go after shopping at Fanueil hall!

What can you say about a Bertucci's that hasn't already been said before? The trick here is for the food to be consistent with your previous experience with the chain. It is. You will get what you expected. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad either. The service at the bar is quick and attentive. The pizza is decent, but there are plenty of good options in this area. The pasta is decent. There are so many food options in the market place that the only reason you would go to Bertucci's is to play it safe with the tried and true. You won't go wrong at this location. It's consistent.

Dirty! They have a bug problem! They need to bomb this place, and kill all the roaches! There pasta taste like watered down tomato with like egg noodles dry and there chicken is COLD! who makes cold chicken? don't wanna get sick, yuck. there server was rude, and my drink tasted like dirty water! then i saw the roaches... crawling around through out the bathroom! They should really take care of this problem asap, and fire and rehired some new people! lets make the world a better place people.

I came here last night for dinner and i was starving. My server kept forgetting about me, but luckily i wasn't on a time frame so it didn't bother me. The bread and oil was so yummy. The oil was seasoned with garlic.. YUM. I had a cheeseless pizza with whole wheat crust with artichokes, sundried tomato, onion and mushrooms. it was good. the crust was thin, which is what i like. but i didn't feel like i HAD to eat it all. I had left overs and ended up tossing it out in my hotel room. i had the apple/cran pastry dessert. this was okay. i ate the apples because it was there in front of me, otherwise, i could have totally passed on this dessert.

Your typical Bertucci's, good food, great rolls. The service here was decent at best, maybe it is because it is in such a touristy area. Their pizza is one of my favorite chain pizz'a.

Food was OK! they have good menu for kids. The basket of bread are nice, warm and enjoyable to eat as you wait for your food. Service was OK- went on a Friday evening with the kids, had to wait a little but its understandable it was busy night.

Decent food, zombie like service. The pizza and pasta were mediocre. The pizza dough was crispy and delicious but the toppings were nothing special. The pasta was simply put nothing special as well. It wasn't awful but not outrageously delicious either. Service was the worst I've experienced on Commonwealth Ave. The waitress seemed tired and hypnotized. We ordered... Waited for a little over 20 minutes and received our food without a smile. Not even a check in later to ask how it was. Even worse, I found myself sipping every last bit of water to wash down a mediocre meal. I never got a refill, so I had to wait for the ice to melt to quench my thirst. My recommendation: don't go here if you're tired, you will fall to sleep or die of thirst.

Until last night, I had never been denied alcohol at a bar or a restaurant. So when 5 of my friends and I strolled into Bertucci's at 10:30pm after a few beers next door hoping for a meal to keep us from getting too intoxicated too quickly (oh, the irony), we never expected to not only have a manager come out to check out of state licenses (seriously, my New York license is more secure than most), but then also tell us they couldn't serve us liquor (and by that she meant beer and wine). Out of the 6 people at the table, 3 of us are TIPS certified, and were shocked (yes, shocked) that we were being denied drinks. We weren't obnoxious, overly loud, or even talking about anything that would lead you to believe we were drunk. After the manager said her peace, our waitress then tried to take our food orders. Instead of arguing, or even staying for food, we decided to get up and leave without making much of a fuss and paid too much for a sausage at a street vendor a few steps away in Faneuil Hall. I've never thought Bertucci's was all that great, and after last night's visit I will never go back to any of the locations, especially this one. If any of us had been acting drunk, or obnoxious, I could understand being refused service. But for a manager to tell us we couldn't have a beer or a glass of wine at 10:30pm on a Saturday is just rude, especially after making us wait for her to come out and check my "suspicious" ID.

We went here during lunch because we work across the street on State and it was a bad experience. The waiter did not approach our table for 10 minutes after we sat down. We ordered our drinks and food together and the drinks took another 10 mins while the salad came out before it. Right after we got our food, I glanced in the corner of my eye and there was a cockroach crawling across the floor. It was disgusting and it caused half the table to not want to eat. We told the waiter and she alerted the manager. They took $20 off the tab but I still would not come here again. They seem to have a bug problem and their food was just ok.

I know, it's Bertucci's, with an outwardly appearance of a typical chain restaurant of Italian food that looks amazing on commercials and disappoints in person. But don't be fooled. This place is a serious contender for a four star restaurant. I went here for lunch the other day with some co-workers, and I know their meal prices might seem a little steep, but they have an awesome lunch menu. It's much cheaper (think $8) and the servings are generous. Plus, and this is no small thing, you get unlimited salad! Unlimited salad! I know!!! It's the frickin best! We went through about four of them - which is one for each person there, and it was totally free with anything off the lunch menu. Not to mention the hot rolls that kept coming with olive oil dip. That is a seriously good deal for lunch! Now, I'm not going to say it was an amazing salad, it was iceberg lettuce, but it had tomatoes and cucumbers, so I was totally happy. And you know what, the food (main meal) was pretty good. I don't ever see Bertucci's being a five star restaurant for their food, but it is dependably decent. Also, the waitress I had was super. She was very attentive and responsive and because of her I thought the service was great. So thank you Bertucci's, for surprising me with your generosity and quality. It seems you might be more Italian than I gave you credit for.

I've been to Bertucci's everywhere and it's pretty much the same. I'm still thinking whether or not I like it. It's more of a craving thing--when people are craving the bread...or pasta. I went there last night...the bread was delicious...but unfortunately I was craving cheeseburgers at the time. Even so, I ordered myself some tri-colored tortellini and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Here's a warning guys--like every other place that serves bread first...do not overeat. Save some room for your entree so you can be fully satisfied. I ODed on the bread and was too full for my entree. Stuffed by the end of the night. Our server was like any other server...nice and prompt. So if you ever want pasta...I wouldn't say AMAZING..but decent food--go to Bertuccis. When you get the bread--make sure to ask the server for CHEESE...and put some in the garlic oil they give you. IT WILL MAKE YOUR EXPERIENCE QUITE DELICIOUS.

I've gone to this Bertucci's location and I've never had a problem! On my most recent trip, we got possibly the best waiter. He was sweet, fast, and checked up on us enough without being overbearing. I got the individual grilled chicken and cheese pizza. Divine, as usual. My friend got the individual pepperoni and was equally as satisfied. I have yet to try one of their traditional dishes but I have heard nothing but great things. Plus, the rolls are just delectable. The best around if you ask me! They lose one star on the size of the place, though. I think the tables are a little too close for comfort in the main seating area and on a crowded day this can get a bit tricky. I highly recommend this location though - it's great.

This is always an easy choice when expensing dinner and I have never been disappointed with a meal here. It's sad to give a chain restaurant five stars but I have no reason to subtract points. Obviously the pizzas are stupendous and everyone who knows Bertucci's knows those addictive dinner rolls. Check out this place for lunch if you have the chance, it is underrated! Service is fast and everyone is really friendly. No complaints here!

SO GOOD! We were informed, when we were seated, that first time customers get a free appetizer! Very nice! We order the Vegetable Antipasto plate and it was delicious. The Eggplant was incredible, as were the mushrooms. The broccoli could have been done a little better.. it was basically steamed and served cold without any seasoning, but that was the only negative of that plate. The Puccilo pizza was delicious... I don't know what they use for marina, but it's light and fresh and sweet without being overly seasoned. The dessert Trio was the best dessert I had in Boston on this trip! The Lemoncello dessert was delicious. The Chocolate Bedino was thick and rick and heavenly! Drawback? Their rootbeer tap wasn't working.. but that meant I got to try the Watermelon lemonade - nice and light and fresh, not too sweet. Overall... A GREAT meal with great service. A great way to spend our last night in Boston.

Once again, in Boston on business. Looking for a casual pizza and a drink. Sat at the counter because people look at you funny if you're at a table by yourself. In any case, the food was just ok, but the service was awful. Had to flag someone down to take my order, never was able to get a second drink, and went to the bar to pay the bill. It was late on a Sunday night too, not very busy at all. Very forgettable place, but serves me right for going to the tourist center of the universe.

My company was eaten by a bigger company. To welcome us to the global family of money thieving neocons, the new CEO planned an after work web conference call for all locations (sure, I'll stay after work for detention, NO PROB!) Whilst the CEO wined and dined in a Chicago hotel with the big wigs, we ordered takeout from Bertucci's - associate appreciation at its finest. I've visited this Bertucci's before and there's nothing really wrong with it. The menu lives up to your expectations and is consistent with the food at other locations. The service is adequate and the rolls are delicious. Ordering take out was somewhat disappointing. As one of the lowest on the totem pole, I was asked to order and retrieve the food. Once the time frame was established, I found myself entering the doors of this location right on time - but was then seated and waiting for the unfinished order - good thing I ordered the food early otherwise I would have missed some stellar pie charts and bar graphs explained to me by some dude with a kiwi accent. Once back in the conference room and ready to devour, I opened my salad and was deeply disappointed. I ordered grilled chicken atop my mediocre salad and despite using the company card to pay for that bird meat, I found myself sans chicken. I order a salad and you forget the essence of my meal. The ESSENCE. Luckily the rolls were plentiful. So when it was time to clean up the conference room after the meeting, I was able to "throw away" the extra rolls... ...into my mouth.

I like Bertucci's. It's pretty dependable. Lots of choices...even if you are not in the mood for pizza. My friend and I started out with a 1/2 carafe of Sangiovese wine. Pretty good stuff. We each got our own pizza (I got the standard cheese, while she had a pepperoni). Both came out crisp and delicious. The bread rolls we start with are fantastic!

Overall, I was pretty disappointed that I chose to go to Bertucci's even though there were lots of other choices around. As many yelpers have pointed out, the rolls were really good, but it was pretty much all downhill from there. Our server was overly busy with other tables and often neglected us. Everything from the kitchen comes out slowly (even my cup of minestrone soup). I had the veal saltimbocca with a side of penne pasta ($16.99). It came with two cutlets wrapped arround with pieces of prosciutto and drenched in marsala wine sauce. The taste was way too overwhelming. The side of pasta didn't help win any points either. Bottom Line: Terrible food, poor service and high prices.

I am so happy to finally have a customer experience in the past month worthy of more than 2 stars! This place did a great job today...The wife and I had my daughter's 6th birthday party here this afternoon. The service was fabulous, the pizza/salad/bread rolls were fresh and hot...well the salad was cool and crisp....but you get my point. We didn't have to have a empty beverage glass for long as the attentive waitstaff was right on top of things and for a party of 34...it was absolutely fabulous....Great General Manager, Great Staff of Servers, and Great Food always equals amazing times and this was no exception....Thank you Bertucci's...Thank you!

I'd actually give them 3.5 if it was possible. We hit Bertucci's at possibly the busiest moment of their entire year.... 8pm on Saturday evening before Valentines. Without a reservation they seated us pretty quickly and there was a buzzy atmosphere. It was a little far on the family dining spectrum for my liking, but better that than red roses and smooching couples. Our server was one of the most cheerful women I have ever encountered, and she bounded over to offer us a special deal on Red Wine ($20 for a decent bottle). We didn't take much persuading. Paranoid about the portions being enormous we shared an Antipasto Misto to start. And as expected, it was an enormously vast plate of pepper, zucchini, artichokes and olives. For the mains we both ordered the Filet Mignon with Chianti Sauce which was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and served with a moist mashed potato side. Overall, a very solid, commendable meal for a decent price.
The food was like eating something that a untrained cook makes. I wasn't expecting north end italian food but come on. There are totally a step down from years before. They have now gone to paper napkins like really. NEVER EVER EVER GOING BACK HERE AGAIN
(1)
Oh Y.
Quality AND quality - As our server brought my eggplant parma I thought "there is no way I'm able to eat all this." Then she sauntered on back to me with a dish of pasta. Lotsa pasta. I argued that I didn't order it, but it came with my meal! The only weird thing was a waitress kept fixing her hair in front of the restaurant mirror - up, down, bun, ponytail, down, up, etc. Luckily she wasn't handling *our* food :-) Super kids menu.

I have so many great things about this place so I decided to try it. I went on a Sunday for lunch and it was not what I was expecting. The host girl was trying to put on a fake smile but she was not one willing to go out of her way to help anyone. She was also bossy towards her coworkers and you could definitely feel the tension in the atmosphere. The waiter was really sweet and fast. He was very attentive - which is why they got the two stars. The food was awful. I got the fetuccine Alfredo and the pasta was rock hard. There was very little sauce and chicken was not good. I will probably not be going back

I was wondering why the restaurant was mostly empty at 12:30 on a Wednesday noon time. I quickly found out much to my disappointment. The lunch menu was not conducive to healthful eating, lots of pasta, cheese, and cream sauces. The complimentary salad is mostly iceberg lettuce, not very exciting. The rolls and garlicy olive oil dipping sauce is always reliable and delicious. My choice was the chicken piccata and while it was well cooked, flavorful, and tender, the spaghetti on which it rested had no sauce with the exception of a generous sprinkling of capers. Totally inedible. My companion had what looked like some folded pita bread with cheese and chicken chunks, not appetizing at all, she ate very little of it and asked for more of the lettuce salad instead. I would definitely not go back, very mediocre.

I didn't plan on coming to Bertucci's, but it's where I ended up. I think their food is just OK, but I love the rolls! Service was lousy, I've dined at this location before & had the same problem. It was crowded on a Saturday night and we had a wait. I don't love the pizza, which is what I ordered, but if they brought the Pollomatch back I would eat that. We ordered an individual pizza & an appetizer & it was more than enough for two people. However, this Bertucci's is much better than the North Beverly one, which I ate at recently. Service was lousy too, we had to wait for bread, and since so many people were waiting, they didn't cook it all the way through. I didn't have that problem at the Fanueil Hall one, because even though we had to wait for rolls, they came out perfectly done and steaming hot. So points for that at Fanueil.

As someone from the West coast, I had never heard of Bertucci's until traveling in Boston. My husband and I stopped there for an early dinner during a recent trip. I thought the food was delicious (to be fair, I was jet-lagged and starving, so practically anything would have tasted delicious at that point). We ordered the fried mozzarella as an appetizer and then split a pepperoni pizza. Plus, they provided us with some warm bread rolls. We cleaned every plate put in front of us. Our server was very nice and for a chain restaurant, I thought the decor was rather pleasing.

I have typically been a fan of Bertuccis. When we first moved to Boston, it was a great place for good prices, big portions and consistently good Italian fare. I am sad to say that things have gone downhill. While this particular location I have often found to have somewhat superior food and service to some others, my last visit was very disappointing. We were seated in an almost empty section. We had heard the manager say that this particular waitress didn't have any other tables as it was early in the dinner hour. Our waitress was so slow, we might as well not have had one. She took our drink order, and we easily waited 10 minutes for a glass of soda and some water. Then, when she took our food order, she waited another 10 minutes to bring out bread until our appetizer was ready. When our food finally came, she disappeared completely until well after we were both finished. When she cleared our plates, she didn't materialize for easily another 10 minutes with our check. All the while, the bar was so overrun with wait staff just hanging out that the manager had to come out and tell them to go elsewhere. We both tried two of the summer menu items that were on special and they were awful. They were both chicken dishes involving some sort of supposed light wine sauce. Mine was literally chicken with a few artichokes drenched in lemon juice. The mashed potatoes were clearly either frozen or from a box. When the check came, I was floored. It was almost $50.00. We didn't have alcohol, and only one of us drank something other than water. Now, I'm a bit of a foodie. I am not afraid to drop $100+ on a check for two for a great meal. However, a check for an appetizer, two very sub par entrees and 1 soda that totals almost $50.00 is absurd. We used to be able to eat at Bertuccis for under $40.00. Needless to say, we will not be returning anytime soon. If you are in the area, and want something reliably good, walk the extra 10 minutes to Legal Sea Foods or Joe's American on the waterfront. Both serve phenomenal meals and you won't be disappointed by either the food or the check!

Food was ok, though the quality of their insalata has gone way downhill and I'm disappointed that they seem to have discontinued a lot of my favorite pizzas. :( With the North End only a block away, I can't say I have much sympathy for people who go to Bertucci's expecting great Italian food, then complain. It's a chain, after all. Food's decent, but nothing spectacular. The waitress was professional and attentive without being a hovering nuisance. Bathrooms could stand to be cleaner, but that's not unexpected for a touristy location during school vacation week.

Not quite as nice as some of the Bertucci's in terms of decor, but this was the best meal I had last week of six different restaurants in the area.

Set your expectations appropriately. If you're looking for delectable food, intimate environs or especially attentive service, this isn't your place. But if you stick with its strengths--pizza, simple pastas--Bertucci's does OK (or at least the one in our neighborhood, Newton, does). For my wife and me, it's the place we often turn to when we've gotten home late and don't feel like cooking. And, yes, the rolls are great.

As far as food goes, I admit - I LOVE Bertucci's. Their bread is great, the cheesy foccacia is amaaazing, tasty desserts & salads, the pizza is classic and the pastas (especially the ravioli - yum!) is usually good. With that in mind, you're probably questioning my 3-stars... ugh, i HATE this Bertucci's! I mean, the food stays as good here as anywhere else, but it's loud, the tables are sort of awkwardly positioned, the waitresses and waiters are forced to cover distant areas of the restaurant so they end up unintentionally neglecting customers, the lines are always too long.... if you can get here when it's quiet, its amazing. Otherwise, hold out for another Bertucci's.

Hardly the best pizza in the world, but as everyone says, the rolls are good. If you come with a few people and share a few pizzas and appetizers you'll probably spend $15-20. It is one of the better quality/price ratios at Faneuil marketplace, although this also means you might have to wait a while for a table during the tourist season.
(3)
Sean L.
Nice atmosphere... but you wouldn't know it from the table we were put at. The place was almost empty and we were stuck at a little table with a family right next to us. Cramped for NO REASON. The help was, eh, helpful but with an attitude? The Caesar salad I had was great but expensive. It's a pizzeria trying to be a fancy high priced restaurant. They only succeed in the high priced part.
(3)
Yisi L.
2-star for the food I got, plus one star for the kid's menu. The restaurant is in an area full of tourists. When I came in for dinner, the floor was dirty. Like all chain restaurants, service was slow, the portion was huge, the food doesn't taste Italian to me. They are kids friendly though. My friend said her family goes every week because the little one likes it.

I have frequently dined both in and out of various Bertucci restaurants and have always left satisfied. No matter the company I am with, we ALWAYS order a margherita pizza, even if we share with the table. Tonight, I called in an order for a large margherita pizza. I was told it would be ready at 8pm. I arrived at 7:55pm, waited a few minutes and cashed out. I cannot even begin to explain what condition this pizza was in when I arrived home (a short walk through the financial district). The tomato sauce was already seeped through the stale pizza dough, the mozzarella cheese was scabbed on top and the basil sprinkled over my pizza was brown. I took it upon myself to revive my much anticipated dinner by placing it in my own oven in attempt to satisfy my craving. I should've known it would only make it worse. I had every seasoning and spice in my cabinets to give something so tasteless some type of appeal. NOTHING WORKED. Needless to say, I was disappointed. As a former employee of Bertucci's (and multiple restaurants), I know what food looks like when it was made over an hour ago. Like my pizza. Old. Left under a heat a lamp and "resold" to a customer. This will not stop me from dining at Bertucci's however, I wouldn't be caught dead in the Faneuil Hall restaurant.

Didn't get to eat. We were told the wait would be 10 min. A long 45 min later we were seated. After we were seated, we waited another 15 min without being acknowledged by anyone. We then decided to take our two kids and leave. Before leaving, I asked to speak with the manager. She was very apologetic which was why I changed my review from a 1star to a 3star. The restaurant appeared to be grossly understaffed and everyone was working very hard, however, if the hostess was more honest about the wait time, we would have happily taken our business elsewhere rather than wasting our time on a Saturday night.

Work right on top of this place and decided to come here for lunch one day. Lunch specials are pretty worth it since it comes with a salad. Food was okay, typical chain type feel food and heavy on carbs. Worth it if you know what you want! Did feel that service was a tad slow even during a slow weekday lunch but my waiter was nice!
(3)
Kristine A.
Although this is a chain restaurant they have some good & tasty options. They also have a lunch menu which is smaller portion so that helps to not overeat. being able to get rolls & salad is always a plus too. One of the servers Ninja remembered us from being there months ago which was nice since sh'e really fun. They seemed to be pretty busy on this particular weekday for lunch so things took longer than usual. I think getting rolls & salad within 5 minutes shouldn't be tough but we got it so late that our lunch came soon after.

Came here for dinner before a concert. We had an amazing server she was friendly and funny! She let us try a special drink on the menu before we ordered it, no charge. She was amazing. The food was very good! Give this place a try. Great location!

Good thin flat bread, wood oven pizza. The roasted black olive are great on the pizza. The limoncello margaritas were also very good, although over-priced. But that is where the good parts end. The other pizza toppings were so scarce to be practically non-existent. I could count the pieces of portebello mushroom on one hand. And while the pepperoni was more numerous, no slice had more than 2 pieces. The service was pretty poor. Getting menu, placing the order, getting re-fill for the drinks were all a challenge. The server was friendly and accommodating when she was around.

After a trip to Faneuil Hall we stopped in at Bertucci's for dinner. Since we frequent the Warwick, RI location we knew what to expect food-wise. At about 6:00 it was extremely busy so we waited about 30 minutes for a table for 7. About the time we were seated the restaurant emptied out but the service never seemed to catch up. While our server was nice it was extremely slow. It took a long time to fill our drink orders, our food came out in fits and starts and there were many small errors. Not enough to complain about but annoying. One child received a kids order of spaghetti and meatballs, one the regular size - big difference and of course they noticed. The food was ok but the service was not good.

Celebrating a birthday with 14 years old girls, most of the places were full, except for Bertucci's, I should have taken the hint! I like this chain, but this one it was bad, besides being dirty, the service was slow and nobody was there! We waited about 15 minutes for 2 glasses of wine, bread came after 20 minutes, not even warm. The red sangria tested like cool aid, requested grated cheese and it took 15 min, we had to take it from other table. Entrees came before the appetizers. Waitress tried hard at the end but too late. Not coming back to this location

Went there for a work party, and had reservations, but the food still took over 1.5 hours to come out from the kitchen. The worse part was we only saw our server twice in this entire wait period. For pre-cooked pasta and sauce from a can, the $14 price was a ripoff. The restaurant manager was nice to take off a bit from the check, but the regional manager who happened to be there at the time, refused to come out and talk with our group about the issue. Terrible service and below par food made for a terrible experience. I won't be going back to any of the Bertucci's locations.

Food is ok. Service needs work. I went there for an early lunch. All of us ordered lunch and water. They forgot the side salads... They messed up one flatbread pizza. We could never find waiters or make eye contact with one.

I'd never been to a Bertucci's until my trip to Boston. My husband and I had a great lunch here while waiting for our Freedom Trail NPS tour. My Mediterranean salad w/ Salmon was great. The sundried tomatoes and white beans were a great addition to the salmon. $14.99 My husband was satisfied with this salad+sandwich lunch combo. Plus it was less than $9. We had a great waitress who brought out some delicious bread and olive oil to hold us over until our lunch arrived. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating.

Horrible - AVOID. There are far better Italian places within walking distance of this place. We arrived at 6:00pm and nearly empty - now I know why. We were seated right away. We sat between two round tables of six that were filthy and uncleaned the entire time we were present (about an hour). The wait staff never turned over tables, never cleaned and worst of all, were never around. We waited a good 15 minutes - seriously - before the server came by. In fact, I got up to ask one of the staff at the bar if there were any servers in the restaurant. He said he would send ours by. She finally came without a single apology for the delay. We ordered and the wait began again. No water. No drinks. At least for another 10 to 12 minutes. It was now almost 6:30pm and we still had nothing on the table. Finally, our salad and drinks arrive. Glory hallelujah. Then another 10 minutes or so before a so-so pizza arrives. The server places the food with a single word and doesn't notice, much less offer to refill my empty Diet Coke. She disappears without a word. We eat. We leave. I asked for the check before we were finished with the pizza because I wasn't sure we'd ever see this server again and we needed to make a Celtics game. I'm usually a very generous tipper because I respect the work that wait staff does. Not this time. As I said, now I know why this restaurant is EMPTY at the height of dinner hour. Horrible service. Mediocre food. DIRTY. Management totally absent. AVOID.

Not impressive..just another restaurant with a nice little bar. I was told the pizza was really good. Uh...who said so? The pizza was overcooked so they had to redo mine and then it was undercooked but I was starving by the time I got it...and intoxicated because I had to do something while awaiting my meal. The bartender guy was fun..and kinda cute. I could have been a regular while in Boston but first impressions of food are important to me. There is a lot I can compare it too with all my travels. Maybe next time I'm back I'll give this place another go round. However, I did enjoy the Moscato Sangria. I bought the larger carafe..which was more then I could take. I wound up giving the rest of what I had to the two ladies who came in after me. They had asked what it was but didn't order it to try, so giving it to them was major cool points if you don't mind my saying (patting self on back). lol Anyway, maybe something else on the menu would have been better. Next time...Next time for sure.

This Bertucci's has one thing going for it: location. It's nestled in a quiet alley between State Street and Quincy Market. When I was here on a Sunday, it was practically empty so the service was very good and quick. The bread was amazing, as it is at all Bertucci's locations. Our waitress was very friendly and split our check 6 ways without any complaint or confusion. Overall, this is an A-OK dining experience - nothing amazing, and nothing awful... just somewhere in between.

We stopped into this eatery right outside of Quincy Market as the sun was going down and like usual, Bertucci's did not disappoint. The service was friendly, the food was fresh and they were able to accommodate our two little ones that were at the table with us. (one was 2 and one was 8) and they were a handful. Our server was very patient with all of the special requests at the table with half this pizza and half that pizza. My son wanted some chicken wings with sauce and dip on the side of the wings and she delivered perfectly with no questions asked. I got the mushroom and asiago flatbread pizza with a multigrain crust that was both soft and delicious and my wife delved into a fresh apple and walnut salad that was prinkled with goat cheese and was nothing short of delicious and crisp. So, to sum this place up, the food was great, the service was great and the location was great with no line present for a Saturday night in Boston!

Terrible service. Actually, no service. I stopped in about 4:30pm for pizza. I told the hostess it was my first visit and I was excited to try it. I was seated in the main dining room with other guest but after 10 minutes, not a single person had so much had said welcome or hello. No water, no inquiry no anything. I waited a full 10 minutes more before walking out. They clearly don't have their act together when it comes to customer service

The food was good! I knew what to expect so no surprises! The service was extremely lacking! I hate begging for utensils, napkins and of course refills on the drinks! When the waiter brought my salad and left it on the table, I almost called him back to ask him if I should eat the salad with my hands the "old fashion" way. I didn't! Need better training.... Also, recommend that the ice cream be served in small bowls and not the plastic cups that the ice cream comes in like the ones you get from the super market. I'll give it another try.... Hopefully different server!

Food was great, love their pizza's specially the BBQ and the three cheese but their service is very slacky we had to wait for 20 minutes just to order and to get something the other servers won't help because they are so under staff .

terrible terrible service. I came into a nearly empty restaurant for lunch. There were maybe two other patrons at the bar. I ordered a beer and after getting it, never was waited on again. I'd love to stick around to grab my own order, bring it to the kitchen to cook it myself, then serve it to myself, but sorry Bertucci's, I guess I prefer to ask for too much from you.

Food is pretty good here, I had a lasagna rustica what was delicious! Service was pretty good! Only thing that I didn't like about this place is the manager or hostess guy who didn't even care about us! First he didn't even say hi or looked at us just grabbed 3 menus even if there was 4 of us!

Looking for a bite of pizza and found this place open...9:45pm. Even though they close at 10, we were welcomed at the door by the girl up front. No problem...sat us to our table. Erin (sp) was our server...she was great. Very friendly and pleasant. We did not feel pressured or rushed in any way...now that it is 15 min passed their closing. Sorry I didn't stop at this place sooner in my previous visits to Boston. They definately have a better attitude at this place than the other places we've attempted in the Faneuil Hall strip.

More like 2.5 stars. Prices are really reasonable and the food's about what you'd expect. BUT, what's the point of advertising "unlimited salad" if you're not going to bring it out at all??? We asked THREE times for the salad. And, this time, just like last time, the service was so, so, so, so freaking slow.......even though the restaurant was half empty. Our drinks could have used a re-fill too. Waitress was friendly but obviously, the restaurant is very poorly managed.

I ordered a good size lunch order for my firm today 1-30-15, first it was 45 min late then when it did arrive most of the pizza's where cold. So of course I make the call. I spoke with the manger Courtney she was very sorry for the issue and went above and beyond her ability to try and fix the issue and make me a happy repeat customer. Mistakes happen understandable but how you deal with them and try and make the customer whole is what counts. Courtney was GREAT with me and took care of the problem and definitely made myself and my firm a repeat customer!!! Thank you Courtney you where great!!!!!

In mid-June, my colleague and I stepped in here for lunch. We were on a field trip with our students, and while we gave them 45 minutes to roam around and get lunch, we decided we'd duck into Bertucci's for a nice sit-down lunch. What a treat for us. Teachers are usually forced to swill down lunch in 20 minutes in a drab cafeteria so we welcomed the change. We both ordered off the weekday lunch menu. We chose the grilled chicken and watermelon salad. We figured that since the only other people in the place were a couple seated at the bar sharing a bottle of wine, 45 minutes would be plenty of time. We waited. And waited. And waited. And waited some more. We asked several times what was going on with our lunch. The waitress grew increasingly snappy and impatient and finally barked, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" While I understand that she was not responsible for cooking the food herself, we did ask her to just level with us and tell us if the order had been forgotten or if something had gone wrong in the kitchen. We explained that we'd just head out and grab a quick bite elsewhere. We ended up having to take our food with us in a carry out container. We asked for the dressing to be placed on the side so that the salads wouldn't get all soggy. When we returned to school, we opened our salads which, of course, were drowning in dressing and completely wilted and inedible. A huge disappointment. With so many other places to choose in Faneuil Hall, it was a shame we chose Bertuccis.

This was probably the worst Bertucci's I've ever been to. But, we were hungry and didn't want to deal with lines in the North End so we ended up just coming here... sigh... should have waited in line! LOL. It was 9pm on a Wednesday night so why's the North End so busy midweek? Anyways, upon walking in the restaurant there were still a few people sitting and eating and the restaurant closes at 10pm. Ok, we got enough time. The hostress was on the phone and on the cash register. The Manager was standing next to her just talking... to who? no idea but didn't make eye contact with us. Finally, after a minute or so, he hostess walks around and asked how many were in the party and told us to wait until they've cleared the table. We waited another 2 more minutes and finally the table was cleared. Chris, the waiter comes over and take our drinks. We were thirsty so seconds were needed before we even order. Finally, we put our orders in. In between, drinks were refilled and Chris was moving between several tables then finally a basket of rolls were brought out with oil. YAY -- LOVE THIS STUFF!!! except that night. It was barely warm and very crusted, so much so that you ripped the roll apart and just ate the inside. We don't know where our waiter went and it's now 35 minutes since we've placed the order. A couple of people came in after us were already eating. I couldn't see Chris. I went to the front and asked the Hostess what was going on and our food wasn't out yet. She proceeded to look for our waiter and seconds later, our food comes out. It was luke warm for some of the dishes. We were so disappointed. Two of the dishes had to be warmed up again which didn't take long. We were hungry so we were just eating away and one of the waitresses were sweeping the floor just two tables away from us. It's dark so obviously you cannot see the debris flying around but that just didn't make me happy. I just quickly finished my food and just not make a deal out of it because it was already late and we were already irritated with the Manager. Ah yes, there is a reason why the manager was at fault here. There were 5 other girls working that night and they were all sitting in the back by the bathroom, just shooting the shits. I supposed they were supposed to be folding up the napkins and utensils but they were just hanging around chit chatting instead when i went to the ladies room to clean my hands before eat. I went back there the second time and they were all doing the same thing. In the meanwhile, our waiter Chris was busy with 6 different tables and not a single person helped him. These were the only 6 parties in the restaurant. The manager also disappeared during the night and came out when we were just leaving. It wasn't even worth speaking to him about how poor the service was. In the end, we still felt bad for the poor guy running around and eventhough our food came out late and it wasn't as hot as it should have been, we didn't tip him less (or any at all) when we should have. He still got a cool 17% from us. Definitely not a restaurant I would return to if that same manager is managing.

We went to Bertucci's for a nice family dinner. We have 3 children, aged 4.5, 2.5, and 1. The 2.5 year old was not having a good day and the manager was not understanding at all. He was so negative and forceful that I had to offer leaving without having eaten our dinner. I strongly recommend families with small children to not go to this restaurant. There are much better family friendly restaurants out there. Hope the manager changes and I would be happy to change my review at some point since the food is good.

Stopped in here last night for a late bite. The food was good as I have found at almost all the Bertucci's. I had to check in on Yelp to see if there was an issue; we waited so long for a simple order. So yes I agree with other reviews...you wait and wait. It was 8:30 and I am not sure why so long. I actually counted how many tables-- 7 including my table; not a big crowd. So why 45 mins wait after giving our order and getting rolls? The waitress was good the food was good but plan on delays if it is not busy. If there are a lot of tables occupied....GOOD LUCK!

Since we've been sitting here waiting for food for 45 minutes with empty drink glasses and restless children, I feel justified on a 1 star review. Yes, it's busy, but they can't seem to pull it together. Dirty tables everywhere, filthy bathrooms, will not be back.

No trouble getting a table for dinner on a Friday night. Unfortunately though, our table just beyond the bar area had an all too clear a view of the bathroom doors. Fortunately though, there was a second door just inside the first door to the ladies' room, so no privacy was invaded. As we mulled over what to get, we found out that there's no soup of the day at dinner time. Sounded kind of funny to me, but anyhow, we settled on the Taste of Bertucci's (A trio of Bertucci's favorites - Chicken Parma, Fettuccini Alfredo with Asparagus and Rigatoni Abruzzi, served with a side insalata or a cup of soup $15.99) with the salad, and the Roasted Tuscan Vegetables $3.99. Three warm rolls were served with some spiced olive oil, but if you ask, they'll bring you some sealed butter pats on a plate. I miss the old days when the salad they served included shredded fresh mozzarella, so I asked if I could have some with the accompanying salad. Talk about responsive! Not only did our server remember my special request, but the cheese arrived in the form of five balls of the fresh stuff! The roasted veggies were satisfactory, but definitely not up to par of the photo from the menu. The pasta plate, however, looked a bit of a mess, with all the carbs and sauces melding together and losing their distinctive identity. I do admit, though, that the pasta was al dente, and the chicken parm really tender. We ended up snagging a couple of their cheesecake (per the online menu - Mascarpone Cheesecake ~ Creamy mascarpone cheesecake with a crisp biscotti crust and a touch of caramel on top. Drizzled with raspberry sauce. $5.99) to go. Consumed the day after, the slice was creamy and smooth. The crust a bit chunky. But all in all, decent. *** 3/2014 *** They have far to go in training their staff so that the same information is provided no matter who you speak with. I was curious about their Happy Hour 50% off Appetizers in the Bar area special. Person 1 - let me check/get someone else Person 2 - it ended at 6pm, and there is a limit on how much you can order based on the number of people in your party Person 3 - the end time depends on the manager; it is still going on right now, you can order as much or as little as you wish Service is a huge part of going out. Hearing a different story from each person I interacted was discouraging.

I love Bertuccis. The spinach dip was amazing as well as their platters to share. The only down side was the bathroom. There's only one and it was by the server section which is fine, but it wasn't the cleanest. Other than that I would go back and dine again.

Not sure why this has so many bad reviews.. I've been coming here since I was a child and still till this day that fresh bread and oil hits the spot! And of course with their Margarita pizza is a MUST! Their Alfredo chicken pizza is also very flavorful, very rich, a knife and fork kinda job. Of course bertuccis standard in foods especially their meats has lowered due to the fact the chain became owned by a congolmerate.

This may be an unfair review as I never actually ate, but that was not my fault. I was at a very crowded Quincy Market when I saw the Bertuccis just down the block. The place was virtually empty and some staff were just lingering. Although at least one waitress made eye contact with me no one came to the front. After standing ungreeted for several minutes we walked into the dining area looking for a table. A nan I think was the manager then came out and told us it was alright to sit. We waited about five more minutes with nothing. The same guy then went by us, seated another party, and ran past us again even though we tried to ask him for menus. Several more minutes. I went back to the front and started getting the menus myself thinking someone would notice and do something. Nope, we looked at the menus for about 5 more minutes, no staff to be found, and decided to leave. As we stood up a waitress came out from the back, looked at me getting up and promptly turned around and went back the way she came. That was insulting.

In Boston for St Patty's day and I am sure you can only imagine what this place was like as a stop on the bar crawl... a real mess! But that being said, ordered the Roasted Artichoke Fonduta, which was really tasty, but also really oily. My friend ordered the roasted tomato sauce with goat cheese- the bread was fine but the sauce tasted like a can of Hunts crushed tomato sauce. No lie! Had a couple issues with the order (getting beers on time, and food coming out slow but it was St Pattys) but our server Jeff was really awesome, very patient and incredibly nice. Thank you for working a double and keeping your cool through the madness!!

Look, chances are you've been to a Bertucci's somewhere else so you know what to expect and it isn't amazing food, but it's definitely good. I recommend finding something you like and sticking with it. The pizza is pretty good; our favorite is the Margarita. Also, the rolls they give you at the beginning are so good that years back my family actually purchased them to have for a family gathering (i think they were $0.25 each back then) . Surprisingly, the beer list here is much better than I expected too with some cool micro-brews that they swap every few months. Since this is a pretty big place for Boston restaurant standards and it's right next to Faneuil Hall, you tend to see lots of families with children. Service can be spotty, but not annoyingly bad. I do enjoy sitting at the bar though since it has a few tvs you can watch.

Best Bertuccis ever! Their food is amazing! I recommend the moscato sangria as a drink. The best tasting cocktail I've had in along time. Will definitely be back again. If not for the food..for happy hour. :)

This place is OK - the atmosphere is pretty bad, really feels very mass-produced, cheap and flimsy, but at the end of they day they make some pretty decent pizzas. Nothing to write home about - the flavors a bit a bland and diluted - but they get the crust right and I was a pretty content customer. You can do better if you walk a bit to the North End, but in a pinch Bertucci's isn't bad.

I came here while checking out Faneuil Hall area on a Saturday afternoon. I started with a Mochacchino, which I wasn't expecting much but it was beyond poor. extremely bitter coffee with too much cocoa powder. I decided to try their unlimited soup and salad. I ordered the Sausage first and got Minestrone. To which when I ordered Minestrone for my second soup the waitress stared at me as though she realized her mistake and I got the same soup, Minestrone as I had thought. The Insalata is a poor house salad with brownish lettuce. Their bread is fantastic though and came out warm and chewy with herbs and oil to dip it in, which is why it gets at least two stars. Never coming back again though unless it is free.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Absolutely LOVE Bertucci's. As a frequent visitor to Boston, I make sure I stop by every time. The food is always great and the waitstaff is incredibly friendly, definitely worth a stop on your tour around Quincy Market. Their bread and olive oil with herbs is to die for.
(5)Erin R.
They took three-cheese focaccia off the menu. I think that says it all. So disappointed.
(1)Anthony N.
(2)Kadin L.

(4)Dawn A.

(3)Michael C.
Your typical Bertucci's, good food, great rolls. The service here was decent at best, maybe it is because it is in such a touristy area. Their pizza is one of my favorite chain pizz'a.
(3)JS C.
Food was OK! they have good menu for kids. The basket of bread are nice, warm and enjoyable to eat as you wait for your food. Service was OK- went on a Friday evening with the kids, had to wait a little but its understandable it was busy night.
(3)S C.

Good solid americanized italian food, a step up from Olive Garden, decent service, good location for a fair priced meal in the Fanueil Hall/Quincy Mkt area.

(4)David L.

Delicious, speedy, great service. My go-to place!
(5)Claudia H.

Just quickly glancing over some of the reviews for Bertucci's, I've decided I need to step in and offer some defense for one of my favorite New England restaurants. I'll make it quick. Yes, Bertucci's is a chain; and as such, there are dozens of different locations, each with their own good and bad characteristics. The atmosphere and food is usually the same, so the only real differences are in the service and location. Generally speaking, the waiters and waitresses aren't the best (last week during lunch I had to wait about 10 minutes to get my water refilled even though the waiter passed my table four times), but I do enjoy the food. In my opinion, Bertucci's is best for lunch. I stick to the usuals: soup of the day, the grilled meatball panini, or pizza. Every lunch entrée comes with rolls (the best EVER) and salad (either Italian-- which is awesome-- or Caesar--which is good), and they run around $8 each. I usually get soup or split a panini because they're so big, and my bill never gets to be too much for me, a poor college kid (last week my brother and I shared unlimited rolls, salad, a cup of soup, and a personal pizza and our bill ran to $14 including tip which was VERY manageable). For dinner, I go with pizza or the chicken wing appetizers which are great-- brick oven grilled wings charred enough to be crunchy but not burnt, and lightly seasoned. I recommend the sausage and chicken pizza if you're into that. In terms of atmosphere, Bertucci's don't offer anything special: they all have booths and tables spread around big, open rooms that get very loud during peak hours. I usually go to the one in Lexington or Hingham which both get cramped, but have also gone to Bertucci's in Woburn, Harvard Square, and Faneuil Hall-- my favorite because it's usually very quiet (especially during dinner hours). Servers at the Hingham branch were the most attentive and welcoming in my experience, while those in Lexington and Woburn were forgetful, flustered, and overwhelmed by the lunch rush, but you win some, you lose some and I was the one paying the tip. Is Bertucci's a classy North End Italian treasure? No. But it is a solid choice for bread, salad, and a sandwich or pizza at lunch, and a fine place to go if you're unsure of other options. Their rolls are my favorite anywhere, and I miss Bertucci's when I'm away from New England at college. So that must mean something.

The food was like eating something that a untrained cook makes. I wasn't expecting north end italian food but come on. There are totally a step down from years before. They have now gone to paper napkins like really. NEVER EVER EVER GOING BACK HERE AGAIN
(1)Oh Y.
(4)Evelyn S.
I will probably not be going back
(2)Elaine S.

(2)Jessica P.
(3)Ben J.
Great lunch atmosphere. Id give it 3.5 stars if i could.
(3)Ellie P.
I never really liked the food at Bertucci's all that much, but their warm rolls are perfect with a little bit of butter. Bertucci's is located in various east coast states.
(3)eric n.
Not quite as nice as some of the Bertucci's in terms of decor, but this was the best meal I had last week of six different restaurants in the area.
(4)Tim G.
(3)Meghan R.
(3)Sujal D.
amazing service and food. waitress was very nice, and mashed potatoes out of this world
(5)Brendan M.
(3)Sean L.
(3)Yisi L.
(3)Kayla K.
(1)Catherine C.
(3)Vincent H.
(3)Kristine A.
(4)Abby C.
Came here for dinner before a concert. We had an amazing server she was friendly and funny! She let us try a special drink on the menu before we ordered it, no charge. She was amazing. The food was very good! Give this place a try. Great location!
(5)Chuck K.
(3)Colleen M.
(2)Laura C.
(2)Adam F.
(1)Agt F.
Food is ok. Service needs work. I went there for an early lunch. All of us ordered lunch and water. They forgot the side salads... They messed up one flatbread pizza. We could never find waiters or make eye contact with one.
(2)Jenni K.
(4)Paul G.
AVOID.
(1)Jackie G.

(3)Shane L.
(4)Neal R.

Good food. Best service I had in a long time. Friendly courteous staff and very homely environment. Would come again.
