Good authentic mexican. We have seen a few reviews talk about the food being bland, but we didn't find that. I like the food spicy, so I ask the waiter to make it spicy and they are very accommodating. I am also a vegan - they have multiple vegan and vegetarian options We travel through this area once or twice a year and stop in this town just so we can eat at this place. We also live near Kennett Square PA where we have multiple mexican places they don't speak a word of english, so we are very familiar with authentic mexican - this place really does well for us. My wife also loves their margaritas - in short, good place.

Visited this place again today for lunch. Everything was PERFECT! Food was delicious. We ordered the "Chorizo Con Huevo: ground mexican pork sausage mixed with egg. served with rice, beans" and "Chilaquiles Y Huevos: corn chips topped with red sauce and ranchero cheese. with sour cream". Really, really good. What about the hot sauce? They went back to the yellow-ish sauce, and it's still AMAZING! Spicy hot, but it doesn't taste like vinegar like other cheap hot sauces. Spicy good, perfect!!! Service was outstanding. (If only I could remember the server's name. Mateo?). Never seen him before. Real friendly, polite, upbeat! Came back several times during lunch to check if everything was ok, if we needed anything else. Couldn't ask for a better server!! Will I go back again? Definitely!!!

By far the best genuine Mexican food in the area. I have tried the competition and they do NOT compare in terms of service, quality and environment. The waitstaff is great (especially Jorge). To top it off the drinks are incredible. Highly recommend the place.

Not even 1 star! Food is disgusting and old! Watched bartender make a margarita with just sour mix! Nothing authentic except staff! IF you're desperate enough to go check this gross & unprofessional place out pay with credit cards they have a tendency to steal money and then accuse customers of not paying! Truth!!!!!

Great food, great margaritas, great service! What more could you want? And, if you can find room, the desserts are delicious too!

I've been here 4 or 5 times. My wife likes it. I think the food is very bland and it always comes out really fast so you know most of the food is not freshly made. The beans are always pasty and dried from the hot plate in the kitchen. I'm not sure if this is really "authentic" Mexican food. I always drench my plate with a ton of bottled salsa or hot sauce just to give it some flavor even though their salsa is just a very mild blend of vegetables (put some kick or some cilantro in it!) and the table side bottled hot sauce is cheap store bought Tapatio crap. The portions are really large so you won't leave hungry.

I changed my mind. After 2 additional visits I have to say that the food is not as good as I thought. The Carnitas plate which is the item I ordered on my first visit is really the only good entrée at this restaurant. The steak and chicken burritos were boring. The chimichanga was dry. The kids plates were just mah. The enchiladas were just okay. Don't order the chicken flautas. They're made them with corn tortillas so you'll be really disappointed when you're expecting flour tortillas and you get taquitos. Also the service wasn't as good the second and third visit as it was the first time. My third waiter was pretty terrible. I ordered a margarita. My server asked me what kind? I told him that I wanted a traditional margarita on the rocks with salt. He said that he didn't know what I wanted to order. Really? He really showed how unprofessional he was as a server by calling my daughter "guera." Recap: chips and salsa good Carnitas great! Ask the bartender to make you a margarita.

Pretty good place - nice decor, friendly staff, good chips and salsa. The food is pretty good - not the best Mexican I've had, but still good. The margaritas are good but pricey. Good beers on tap. It's very low key and relaxed, even on a Saturday at dinner time. I think it has location working against it unfortunately - if this restaurant was in a more conveniently located part of town I could see it getting more business.

Came here for Margs on cinco de mayo. Place was hopping for holiday. Wait was about an hour. I ordered the blue ceilo margarita with salt. It was very good. It had blue curaçao in it. Usually with those types of margaritas they end up being too sweet, but this tasted really good and wasn't too sweet. The food was good. Portions were large. The service was a little slow but understandable with the holiday. I gave it three stars because the food was good but didn't blow me away. Would definitely go back.

Bland, bland, bland. I was excited to see that there was a Mexican restaurant in my area other than generic Margarita's, but unfortunately I was disappointed with Casa Blanca. I can't say that there was anything good about the enchiladas that I ordered. The shredded beef was tough, refried beans were watery, rice was clumpy and dry, and the 5 pieces of shredded lettuce and few diced tomatoes on the plate didn't cut it. Oh, and did I mention that the food was bland? I mean tasteless.

This place has a really nice atmosphere to it, food is amazing the few times i have gone here. I only have a few complaints about it, as soon as you walk in there is a sign posted saying "WE REFUSE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVE TO ANYONE"- not exactly welcoming. Last time i did visit here the emergency exit was completely blocked with chairs and tables- slightly concerning- honestly wouldn't stop me from still going here -the food is amazing

Great Mexican food in a clean and friendly atmosphere. When I'm in the area for work, it's my favorite place for lunch. Try the shrimp quesadillas. Just the right portion size and they are fantastic!! Haven't taken anyone who's been disappointed by the food.

First time here and I fell in love! The food was delicious.....big plates, quality food, and decent prices. The staff was friendly and the service was great. The margaritas were big....had the frozen strawberry and it was good. The Casa wings and Shrimp dip was something I never had before and these appetizers ARE A MUST TRY! I'm going to miss this place when I return to L.A.

The food the one time I dined here was not bad, but there was nothing great about it. The margarita I got was pretty on point, but the waiter was such an ignorant a$$, it really ruined it for me and I wouldn't go back. He sat us and then never came back, lol. We had to like go find him, it was strange..and then he seemed bothered by taking our order. I don't think he was even the same waiter who gave us our bill... Food came and then he was ghost again. Bad service really irritates me, so one lone star for our lone waiter. I hope he's not still missing.

No bueno My mom had been said she'd been here before and enjoyed it so when she invited me out to eat and suggested this place I was game. Upon arriving the place was empty. Granted we were there for an early dinner but even when we left it was still empty... Not a good sign. Once we were seated it took a while for a server to show up. I was a bit surprised since, as I previously stated, the place was empty. We ordered our drinks a looked over the menu. Both of us settling for the casa combo plate consisting of a burrito, taco and enchilada with sides of rice and beans. It was forever after we received our drinks before a server showed up for our order. We gave him our order a chatted and in about 5 minutes the food showed up. This sj ways worries me in that food this fast is usually microwaved. The plate was huge!!! Lots of beans and lots of rice. The enchilada was small as was the burrito and the hard shell taco was soggy on one side to the point of being unable to pick it up. All the meat was watery and very bland. Zero flavor!!! I choked down a few bites of each and a bit of beans but really was not interested in eating anymore. This was by far the worst Mexican food I've had in a long long time. Taco Bell has more flavor to be honest.

Casablanca has some pretty good food there staff is a little slow sometimes but for the most part right on the ball there pork carnitas is probably one of the best things on the menu

Food was decent. Lunch service was very quick. A few minutes after we sat down, our order was taken. A few minutes later our food was served. Reasonable prices. I definitely want to try some other things next time around.

Hey I will preface this review by saying that I hail from California where Mexican food is at its best and second to only Mexico itself. With that in mind, I will say this place was ok. It didn't quite hit the spot but it is our go to place for Mexican. Their salsa is delicious and tasted fresh. I wasn't a fan of the guacamole though. That looked and tasted like it was pre-made. Sad. I ordered the chimichanga and that chicken inside tasted really dry even though it was loaded with cheese?

  • Jessica L.

Surprisingly good, given it's unsassuming location. I used to work nearby and my favorite was the shrimp caeser salad with avocado and salsa. The free chips and salsa are each table are plentiful and delicious. The fajitas are also really yummy and enough for two people. The chimichangas weren't exactly what we were expecting, but good nonetheless. I would say it's close to as good as you can get to Mexican food in Massachusetts. I used to live on the West Coast (home of AMAZING Mexican food), and this place is solid you've got a hankering for some Mexican. Cons: Sometimes the service is really slow. Also, they sometimes throw in additional charges that are a bit sketch (ie, charging for sparkling water when it's just tap from the soda machine).

First time there on Saturday. Everything was great except the food, which was bland cafeteria quality, over-processed. Blah. Service was awesome. Very loud & noisy due to the tile floor. GF had a gastric disturbance. We probably won't be back. You can do a lot better at Chipotles or Shortys.

I have been to casa blancas a number of times over the past 2 years. Overall I would say it is a good location for good times, good drinks, and good food. I have had good success with Margaritas and chicken faijita.

Great food not the best service though. I'm a patient person so if the food is good and the service stinks I can handle it. There guacamole and salsa is fantastic and there main course selections are just as good. I've been there at least 5 times in a 6 month span so that should tell you how much I like them. If you love Mexican you have to try it out

I go to Casa Blanca approximately once a month because I really love their food. However, the service is awful. I can't remember a time in which I was greeted by my server in under 10 minutes. I went on Friday night and the door server on just glanced at me when I walked in. No greeting at all. It wasn't until another hostess walked in that I was greeted. Then my waiter didn't show up for 10 minutes. When he did he got our drinks and didn't show back up for about 15 minutes. It wasn't busy enough to excuse slow service. If I knew of a better Mexican place around I would go there instead. All in all, Great shrimp fajita salad, great mole, terrible staff.

  • Janelle N.

I have eaten here several times. The service is pretty good, as long as you don't try to make any substitutions, such as asking for the vegetarian rice instead of the non-vegetarian rice. The food tends to be extraordinarily salty, so it might not be the right place for you if you have hypertension. But if your blood pressure is less than 120/80 mmHG, I recommend the casa veggie fiesta.

Been there several times in the past. Food is OK, prices are average. But kids like it, so we return. Usually, we are there early, so I am not used to dealing with buzzy time craziness. One Sat night it was later than usual, I wanted to avoid a long wait with the kids, so I called ahead to put my name down. They took the name for 15 min wait, we were there in 10 min. Got the pager and waited... and waited... 15 min past our original time, I inquired and was told another 30 minutes and that they DO NOT take call aheads... Why would you take a name over the phone if that is against your policy? That is just poor practice. We wouldn't have came THAT night, but now, I doubt we will be back, there are numerous other dining options in the area that do not play silly games. Would have been 3 stars, but I took one away for hostess experience.

I have to update this review based on my recent visit. The salsa was watery and bland, the guacamole tasted metallic, and service was slow. Drinks come in small and medium. One of the guys I was with asked if he could get a large and explicitly asked if there was an option bigger than a medium, the waitress said yes, and then brought him a drink that was the same size as everyone else's medium. Baffling. 12/19/2012: Good salsa, fast lunch service, and reasonable prices. Not the best Mexican I've ever had, but I would definitely return.

Lousy! We enjoy the Casa Blanca in North Andover, so we decided to try this one...big mistake. We went for a late lunch on a Sunday; there was one other couple in the restaurant. It still took them 15 min just to bring the chips and "salsa," or water with a hint of tomato juice--it was gross. The chips were clearly processed and from a bag. Drinks were weak and watered down-- my spouse's frozen margarita even had a huge chunk of ice at the bottom. She ordered the chicken flautus, which were actually taquitos. I had a fajita burrito with dry chicken that clearly had been over cooked and reheated. Guacamole was gross and slimy, and our inattentive waiter was wearing way too much cologne. Not going back! Don't even bother!!

Great authentic Mexican food!! We have always had a good meal here. If you go early on Friday or weekends you can usually avoid a wait. We're going tonight and I'm getting my favorite Pacifici Burrito which has large chunks of fresh seafood topped with an awesome tomatillo sauce and avocado. Watch out the margaritas are strong and pack a punch.

This was decent food but it was not my favorite. It tasted fairly fresh, although the flavor of the beans and rice wasn't to my liking. The salsa was a little bland and reminded me of canned tomatoes instead of fresh. The guacamole was pretty good, and the spinach enchiladas were good. I thought the decor was reminiscent of the stuff you find in stores geared towards teachers wanting to decorate their classrooms, in fact, I'm pretty sure I've had some of those decorations in mine, and the extraordinarily polished look to the menu makes me think that perhaps the owners are hoping this place will mushroom and become a major franchise operation. If that is the case, I wish them the best of luck, this would certainly be a cut above most of the franchise restaurants out there! I found the constant addressing of diners as "amigos" tiresome, but maybe it's because I hate kitschy things. I really wanted to corner the waitstaff and demand (in Spanish) if they find it tiresome, too, but it was my first time there, so I didn't let on that I speak Spanish. The service was good, despite a fairly full restaurant. Waiters kept their eyes on all the tables and would clear plates or take new drink orders and relay them to the tables official waiter. I think I'll keep trying the other Mexican restaurants in the area before returning to this one. It didn't WOW me, but it certainly was not bad.

Best Mexican food since I moved to the area. Great chips and salsa too. Just the right amount of food so you don't get that over stuffed feeling.

Decided to try somewhere new... sorely disappointed. Poor service, high prices & bland food. If you don't eat a lot of authentic mexican then you probably wont mind this place but if you're a foodie, like my boyfriend and I, you should just drive to border cafe and spend half as much. when the food runner dropped off the only tasty thing there (chips and salsa) I asked if there was a lunch menu & her response was a grunt and then ran away as fast as possible, never to return. there was a single waiter for the whole restaurant and we waited 20 minutes to order. I got the combo tacos which came with ripped soggy tortillas, flavorless shredded beef and their version of pico de gallo - I almost cried when I saw the lettuce with a couple tomatoes on top of it. If you want to waste your money on bad mexican food go to taco bell.

Totally satisfying in a lot of ways. Fish tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, drinks - all good, and a good deal. Actually, the fish tacos are downright delicious. The cabbage, crema, onion and cilantro hit just the right notes of cool, spicy and crisp while the fish and tortilla are perfectly soft and warm in taste and in temperature. I rarely convince myself to get anything else. But they'll make you a big old plate of nachos, if you're in that kind of mood. The guacamole is what good guacamole should be - no nonsense mashed avocados. This place can accommodate parties of 12+ without missing a beat or letting those folks dominate the dining room. And they'll seat a party of two at a cozy booth that fits four, no questions asked. I've been disappointed in the spinach enchiladas and a few other forays I made into the outer reaches of the menu, but the classics are pretty reliable. And, after we became regulars, they eventually dropped the weird "amigo" thing and the hospitality became a little more easy-going.

I recommended Casa Blanca to everyone! They have great food, decently priced, and it is served quickly. My boyfriend and I do take- out a lot from here and our order is always correct and ready in 15 minutes every time! The food is delicious.

I really enjoy Casa Blanca. No, it's not perfectly authentic, though you can get a few dishes that are pretty close to the real thing. We're in Massachusetts. Sadly, that makes it hard to find authentic Mexican dishes. It's still tasty, even if it's not exactly street food from Puebla. Some of the other critiques were a bit ridiculous. Nothing's watery or flavorless. The salsa and guac are fresh and homemade, etc. The service is amazing, the food comes out fast, and if you can speak a lick of Spanish, your margaritas will be plenty strong. My biggest complaint has nothing to do with food or service. It's NOISY. No walls, very few booths. It's a mostly open room with lots of tables, so there are no sound breaks whatsoever.

I'm in a rush as I'm running out, but it is a good typical Mexican restaurant with GREAT Chips! Watch your waist, or don't, because they are SO GOOD! If they're hot they're awesome, cool, not too bad, the chips anyway, but fresh out of the fryer or oven, nice! The food tastes good and quality and fresh. The wait staff is nice. I got at lunch as it's fairly close to work so I have never been to the bar as I don't drink and I don't go at night so I don't know what that crowd is like. Normally always busy and people seem happy, which is a good thing!

So... I read down the reviews of what my fellow Yelpers had to say about this place. And I am confused. As I am not sure if there are more than one Casa Blanca in North Billerica, but the one I've been to on at least 4 occasions now...just does not impress. (I know...you're scratchin' your head at this comment, no likee, but I keep going back. Think of Casa Blanca as a Black Hole of confused hungry patrons...pulling you in despite your resistance...) I am not sure if I am ordering the wrong item...or what, but I have not thoroughly enjoyed much out of that place. Admittedly, it seems most people who dine here, drink here...and I am not a huge drinker anymore, so maybe THAT is the missing link. Tonight I had the mixed grill fajitas...I had really been craving some fajitas...especially from the Border Cafe in Burlington, but the dinner line there is SO long. Anyway...almost as soon as your bum hits the seat, someone is calling you an amigo and putting warm chips and salsa in your face. Staff = Always friendly...maybe even a tad over-friendly, but most seem sincere. Chips=Pretty good, not the best, but good. Salsa=Nah-so-good...when you feel like you should probably go across the street to the little Mobil store and pick up some jar'd Salsa, you know you're not eating good salsa. So Mixed Grill Fajita...so it comes out in usual fashion...3 plates worth...one sizzling hot with the beef, chicken, onions and peppers...another plate with rice, refried beans, pico de gallo, cheese, guacamole and sour cream...and a small covered plate of 4 flour tortillas. With all the "food stuffing" they give you , you'd need 6 flour tortillas, but alas, they give you four. So right off the bat, the chicken and steak look like something that was heated up in the microwave. Something you might see in a Frozen Dinner. What looked to be fake grilled marks on meat that was WAY overcooked and dry. But I entertained my craving...and topped that with the side stuff...and some hot sauce that I had to ask for. (This is a Mexican restaurant where I have to ask for hot sauce? Que?) Well...with the stronger flavored side items, you actually would not notice, so much, that your steak and chicken is less than to be desired. Overall, the taste is not too bad...but, yeah...I've had better. This has pretty much been my pattern of everything I've had here. And I feel like I do like Mexican cuisine, very much so...but this place is just not that impressive. I am going to have to pay better attention to what you other Yelpers are eating at this place. Maybe I SHOULD down a huge margarita before my next meal there...it might help. Sorry peeps...I want to like this place...But I don't.

Had dinner here this weekend and it was really great! We ordered a couple of margaritas and the server asked us if we wanted 'small or medium' ? which I thought was odd...why not small or large? anyway, we ordered ours 'medium' and they massive. they might as well have been served in the Stanley Cup. They were fantastic. Both our meals were really excellent and the service was great. well, i think our meal were great - after that huge margarita, I would have eaten a box of crayons.

Once again, the quest for a decent Mexican restaurant in NE Massachusetts continues.... I've encountered a wide range of mediocrity traveling from one cantina to another. Although Casa Blanca is a cut above the stuff served by corporate chains, its not by much. The chips were bland (no salt) but the salsa served with it had a bit of a kick. I ordered the carnitas. The pork is usually shredded but at Casa Blanca it was thin triangles of dried pork in sauce. Different but a bit odd. My partners had fish tacos. They were decent, but messy, and served without crema. Have yet to find a fish taco that beats what we had in Baja. So, the quest continues. I my heart of hearts, I hope we find the elusive taqueria that can be declared the best in New England.

My colleague brought me here and I came here twice in 2 weeks for lunch. It's very good Mexican food around the Chelmsford area. First time I ordered Pork Baja Chimichanga and the Beef Mexicali Chimichanga for the 2nd trip. I love the Pork Baja Chimichanga. The meat is very tender, juicy and full of flavor. And that large plate if less than $9 bucks, you can't beat that :) Will bring my family here next time.

Not bad! I have tried a variety of dishes and though not a huge fan of Mexican I find it OK. Not as authentic or generous as I had hoped. There is a small out of the way place in Waltham that I will try to find the name of. It was amazing! Casablanca Blanca is OK. I would go again.

Thursday night with the bff in search of good food and good drinks. Where did we end up? Casa Blanca. We were greeted and seated right away during peak dinner time.(always nice) First thing's first. LARGE margartia. And let me tell you, by large, I mean so big you can swim in it large. The waiter looked at us and said "Larrrrge???". It gets to the table and stands taller than our heads with 2 straws jerry-rigged to make one long one. LOL After enjoying some fresh chips and salsa. pretty good, not the best, but they are FREE, so I'll eat em. After salivating over the extensive menu, I ordered fish tacos. Fresh grilled white fish in flour tortillas. (I would prefer soft corn tortialls), NO cheese, sourcream, or any of that american taco stuff. Small side of fresh onion/cilantro and raw cabbage. Just the way I like it. Interesting special white sauce for the fish. Lemony, cilantroy, mayoy. Adds alot of flavor to the taco. Of course the tacos came with the usual suspects...refried beans and rice. I was not a fan of the rice so much, kinda dry and lacking flavor and the beans? well they are what they are, refried beans! LOL Friday morning I had to come to yelp and share my experience. I read a few of the reviews and can see that everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. Like many of the reviwers, I too am from Cali, and am always seeking great mexican food in MA. So what did I think? I wouldnt say GREAT but damn good!! Cant wait to go back.

    * Location * My wife and I took the kids (i.e., 1-year-old and 3-year-old) here last Spring. The restaurant is located on a Billerica strip mall on Route 129, close to the Chelmsford line. They also have restaurants in Andover and North Andover. * Move Along * While visiting friends in Texas numerous times in the past, I ate at several Mexican restaurants there, and grew to love authentic Mexican food --there's nothing like spicy food to get you going. That started my journey for locating good Mexican restaurants back home in New England. Although I have found 2 or 3 great Mexican restaurants around Massachusetts, based on my experience with Casa Blanca, the journey continues. * Rustic Ambiance * The restaurant is spacious, with rural Mexican colors and style. I so amused by it that I expected the restaurant host to pop out wearing a sombrero, pancho, and big mustache, yelling "Tenemos cerveza fria!" The kids enjoyed the views and decorations. * Service * The staff was very friendly. The kids enjoyed the attention. However, the food took a long time to arrive. The waiter explained that one of their cooks was out sick; although, they had more than enough waiters on the floor on that slow business day. One of those waiters could have helped out in the kitchen. * Average Food * The food is average with reasonable prices; it is what you would expect from a plain Mexican restaurant in the suburbs. They serve you chips and salsa as an appetizer; the chips were OK, but the salsa was salty with an unappealing flavor. The enchiladas I ordered came drowned in sauce, with dry Mexican rice that looked as if it was put in the microwave for too long. I expected better quality from the restaurant's food, given that it is owned by a Mexican family and is close to Lowell, where there are a lot of Hispanic communities. * Good Bar * I like tequila and noticed that the bar had a good tequila section. The shot of Lunazul reposado tequila I ordered went down easy. The restaurant also hosts musical and other events sponsored by Alcohol companies. * Bottom Line * Casa Blanca is worth trying, but do not go out of the way for it.

The food is pretty and it is all around a nice place to eat. My wife and I enjoy it here. We often see kids and there is a bar so there is something for everyone. We did even have a woman sing to us while we were having dinner. It was pretty fun.

Food was very good, appease-the-people-waiting-for-food salsa was "meh" but I did like how they give you individual servings. Drinks were pretty good when they got them right (forgot the salt, wrong flavor, etc). Waiter got 1/2 of our large table's entree orders wrong. Atmosphere was nice inside, our waiter was apparently from Venezuela.... not sure if that makes it more authentic or not =) If the waiter has got it right, 4 stars. In either case, worth visiting if you like mexican food.

I grew up in AZ, and am also always on the lookout for good Mexican in New England. It's been hard, but I really enjoyed dinner at Casa Blanca. Food was really good. Atmosphere was fun. We did have issues with slow service, but it might have been our particular waiter. I'd definitely go back despite that issue. The hostess staff was very friendly and nice. And we were seated immediately at 6:30pm on a Sat night despite a pretty full house. Also a good place to take kids. Mine are 7 and 4 and it's completely appropriate for them.

Mexican food for gringos: cheap, plentiful, deathly dull. Given all the Latino faces on the front-of-house staff, I walked into this cheery, casual-dining-chain-looking kind of place with high expectations. Those were dashed the moment I noticed the only taco options on the menu were flour tortillas or hard-fried corn tortillas. Complimentary chips were served with a little carafe of salsa that separated unappealingly when I poured it into its saucer. My taco plate arrived, and all the gringo border-food cliches were there: chopped iceberg lettuce, shredded orange cheese, watery refried beans, flavorless but orange-colored rice. The chunks of shredded beef and carnitas-like pork (shoulder, I'm guessing) in my tacos were at least decent if wholly underseasoned. My coffee was a weak, slightly-burnt, cheap-tasting filter brew. In all, this was a dispiriting experience, especially this close to Lowell, where presumably there are some authentic traditional Mexican, Salvadoran, and Guatemalan places. (I was tempted to ask my server, who looked like a native of Sonora, where he went to eat on his own dime, but I thought better of it.) I imagine this being an okay place for locals to enjoy some nachos and Margaritas while watching the game in the bar, but I don't expect I'll give this thoroughly bland Yanqui take on Mexican another spin.

Absolutely love this place. Chips and salsa were awesome. Asked for hot sauce and damn....it was kickass spicy. Nice loaded cheap drinks. Definitely worth going there. In fact, will go there once a month.

Great service!! Our waiter was very pleasant and courteous, even called me and my mom "amigas" the whole time. The menu was massive with so many relatively low-priced items. I got the pork burrito and it was delicious!! The chips and salsa were also great, went well with my Dos Equis Amber with lime :)

Mediocre tex-mex with a chain feeling Chips/salsa - good Beans/rice - ok Enchilada sauce - over salted Anything with spinach - watery and under seasoned Chili relleno - unmelted cheese, yuck! Wait staff - friendly and attentive, but being called 'amigo' a dozen times is a bit patronizing. Probably good for happy hour and aps. I wouldn't bring out of town guests here...

I've been to Mexico 5 times & I swear this place is as good as some of the restarants I went to in Mexico! Their margaritas are wonderful and their food is all fresh & authentic.

This restaurant is great! There are chips on the table before you've even had time to open the menu. The drinks are great. Food is great. I typically have the steak burrito asada and it's really great. Desert is really good too. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great Mexican restaurant in the area.

Total Meh. Was really in the mood for GOOD mexican food and was told by a family member that the food at Casa Blanca was 'really authentic'. I asked the Mexican waiter to reccomend the item on the menu that was both the most authentic and the most delicious. He confidently reccomended the Pollo Mole. The portion size was small for this entree (which I think is a good thing in this culture of super-sized everything). I was instantly disappointed to find out that my food was slightly above room temperature. I soldiered on only to be completely underwhelmed and disappointed by small chunks of chicken swimming in a very dumbed down version of a mole sauce....too much peanut butter!! Mole is meant to have layers upon layers of flavor. This mole fell flat. Authentic? No. Delicious? No. I have to mention the bright spot which was our waitor. Super attentive, super nice, lots of personality, called us all 'amigos' and 'amigas' which was cute.

Our experience at Casa Blanca when they first opened was not great. They have ironed out the kinks, however, and we now enjoy every visit. The margaritas even satisfy my husband who is very finicky about his cocktails.

Great Mexican Food Their house maragarita is the bomb!!! The salsa is done just right and their 3 enchiladas (Bean, Cheese, Spinach) is amazing. Wednesdays is Mariachi night and it can get a little loud and festive. They have Dos Equis on draft which is a plus and it's always served ice cold. Ocassionally they have a sauteed shrimp dish with some salad and refried beans which is delicious.

After a morning of hiking in Chelmsford, we were hungry. Perused the iPhone Yelp! local list and found nothing interesting. Fired up "Around Me," and saw this place listed. Went back and looked it up on Yelp! and there it was. What up with that? Anyways... Located at the corner of a nondescript strip mall, this clean, bright establishment earns points for being spacious, pleasantly decorated (except for the paint by numbers artwork - yeesh!) and having a varied menu of Mexican specialties including a large Vegetarian section. They also serve warm, fresh, very lightly salted tortilla chips and salsa when you are seated. I was surprised to find that my "Taco Combination" ($7.95) consisted of one hard corn tortilla taco. It was good, but it was lonely on the plate, which was covered with enough shredded lettuce and tomato for 3 tacos, and some Spanish rice and re-fried beans. While the rice and beans had nothing about them to distinguish from Old El Paso®, the shredded beef taco was quite pleasant. More like sliced marinated beef than shredded. I just think a one taco plate for $8 is kind of... pequeuño. My gf had a spinach quesadilla. Toasted flour tortillas surrounded melted cheese and sauteed spinach. As a confirmed Meatatarian, let me just say this plate was "I'd order that" good. Jolly Mexican contemporary music plays at a comfortable level in the background, the waiter and servers were all very pleasant. While I would not go out of my way to dine here, I would not hesitate to stop here again while in the area. Mind you, we just had light lunch. The dinner menu had promise... I can't tell you if it delivered.

This place is pretty much as close to Authentic California Mexican dining as I have found. Obviously this isn't Authentic Mexican food, because we're in America and in a part that has not the best produce. But the recipes, sauces, food, chips, EVERYTHING is probably the best you can find in New England. All of the cooks, owner and wait staff are from California (so I've heard) and they have brought their skills with them. Things that I've had that are AMAZING: Chips and Salsa Guacamole Pork Tamale (soooo, good) Chile Relleno (authentic!) Cheese Enchiladas Chicken Burrito Chicken Colorado (definitely get this) Black beans Rice & Beans Warm Corn Tortillas Things that are less than delicious: Spinach Enchilada (but that's the only thing)

I have gone to quite a few of the Mexican restaurants in the area and i have to say this is by far my favorite. The food and drink is amazing! One 'large' premium Margarita is more than enough and is always mixed perfectly! The salsa/chips are homemade and delicious! The dishes always come out hot and have a great authentic taste (alot more authentic then you get at a Mexican franchise). As far as the staff, they all seem to be family and its always the same people working no matter when you go. I think its great to actually be able to recognize faces in a restaurant. You don't see that too often! They always greet you will a smile and make sure your chips never run out! This place is one of my overall favorite places to enjoy great food and drink.

I'm pretty sure this is the Casablanca I went to but with no pictures, only one previous review, and the fact that I don't know the area too well, I cannot be sure. But needless to say I'll yelp about it anyway Chimichangas are my mexican obsession, and any restaurant that has them on the menu wins in my book. Not all mexican restaurants have chimichangas on the menu (which is strange to me because its basically a deep fried burrito). So in short, Casablanca did in deed have the highly esteemed chimichanga on the menu. The fajita chimichanga caught my eye, and you could order it with either steak or chicken. I wasnt in the mood for chicken and i dont like huge pieces of steak in a burrito, or chimichanga for that matter, so when I saw on a different one that you could get shredded steak, I asked the waitress to make the switch. She happily obliged. The refried beans were very delicious and the chimichanga was HUGE. the yellow rice was okay, i've had better. Did I mention they give you three different types of salsa to devour with tortilla chips? oh i didnt? well they do...and its an awesome idea, they had green tomato salsa, a regular red salsa and a super chunky fresh salsa with no liquid. Something for everyone! I enjoyed my experience at Casablanca and next time I want to go there i'll better observe the area!

So, I've been to this place probably five or six times now and every time I go with the highest of expectations and leave on the disappointed side. I have only ever been for lunch, so maybe James R. is right. Maybe you do need to have margaritas or some kind of adult libation to fully enjoy yourself here, but unfortunately, whenever I'm here it's on my lunch break, so drinking is a no-no. Your meal starts with some pretty good chips and salsa. I've read varying Yelpers' opinions on the chips/salsa, but for what it's worth, I rather enjoy them. The menu features all sorts of salads, steak and chicken entrees, some seafood, as well as the traditional Mexican favorites we Americans have come to love. The lunch menu features different combinations of burritos, quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas, tamales, chimichangas, etc. For me, it seems that no matter what I order, it all looks and tastes pretty much the same. Nothing has ever been bad, but I just don't see what all the fuss is over. But I guess in a town where the prior finest Mexican food available for as long as I can remember has been Taco Bell this is a good addition. The lunch combos are a decent value, mostly under $10 I think, so it's certainly a good place for a lunch out on a budget. Service starts really good and deteriorates at the end of the meal. Every time a server addresses you, he will refer to you as "amigo". Endearing at first, but annoying by the end. Food comes out pretty fast and the sodas are kept filled. The hold up is in paying the check. For some reason, they just don't want to take our money at the end, to the point where we've had to go up to the hostess and have her run the bill because we need to go back to work. I think next time I am persuaded to come here I'll try something a little different to see if that changes my opinion. People seem to really love this place, but I'm not quite convinced just yet.

My boyfriend and I just got back from a dinner date at casa blanca. We ordered the fajita's for 2 combo which cost us $28.50, acceptable for dinner for two. Along with that we got two margarias for two. This margarita is very simlar to the scorpian bowl, available for two for about $10-$20 depending on the restaurant. In most restaurants the price for alcoholic drinks is not available on the menu, but usually comes to $10 at the very most. Though we enjoyed our meal and laughs not related to service or staff, we were floored when the check arrived. $32.50 a piece for the drinks alone, although this was quite a large drink, I was angered at the fact that a price that high was not listed for the customer to see. In total, an hour at Casa Blanca cost us $99.59- a little high for a hole in wall mexican joint in a small town, if you ask me.

I have a new favorite place for Mexican food! We came here on a week night and were immediately seated and greeted by our waiter. The chips and salsa were tasty and fresh that was put in front of us within moments of sitting down. I ordered a diet coke but my friend had a maragarita which was great but had way too much foam. For dinner we split the fajitas for two with chicken and steak. The fajitas were awesome - the chicken and beef were perfectly seasoned and the tortillas that came with the meal were warm! The fajitas also came with a great guacamole in addition to all the traditional fajita fixings! I've lived in Texas after college and am always in search of fabulous mexican food and Casa Blanca is the best I've found in New England so far!

Ok, considering I'm from CA and have had tons of good Mexican food here, I wasn't expecting much from a mexican restaurant all the way up in MA. But man I was in for a treat! Their food is really good and fresh. I wouldn't recommend the tortilla soup... but the Chimichanga was good. The camarones were good and the chicken dish was gooooood. Service is POLITE, attentive and quick. I ordered a margarita (yum! a bit strong at first, but aren't they always? lol) We got flan and deep fried ice cream for desserts. The flan had an odd taste to it (my cousin seemed to like it though, so whatevs). The fried ice cream I doubt was fresh since it was super cold! haha. i never had fantastic deep fried ice cream, but it was tasty. how can ice cream be bad? All in all, 5 stars for price, ambiance, food quality and quantity, and service.

This place is a staple for my friends and I. We go there often because they have delicious margaritas and our friend also worked there. Since she has quit, we still like to go there and hang out. It's a great local place to go and either have dinner or just for drinks. We went there for Cinco de Mayo and they were packed. Usually a pretty good crowd there on weekends and they have a great bar with lots of tvs. I am also a huge wing person and they have fabulous "casa wings" definitely give them a try!

Camarones mexican. It came out hot and quick (2 of my must haves) Not usually a wait. The chips and salsa are ok too. Your standard mexican fare, but they do have Albondigas.

Since I moved back from California I am constantly in search of a good carne asada burrito. I have always been a fan of Mexican food, but when I moved to Cali I fell in love!! And so I was having a severe case of burrito withdrawal once I left. I found Casa Blanca on yelp and decided to try it out after reading some of the reviews. I must say that even though I wasn't sure how it would compare to my favorite California burrito I really liked it. I ordered take out and they even gave me chips and salsa. The guacamole was tasty too! I tried the tortilla soup when I was sick and craving warm soup and it was just what I needed. Not the best, but with some sour cream and cheese mixed in in it was good. Definitely check this place out!

I feel bad for this place that some teenage/20something vegetarian saw fit to be the first review and gave it a 3!! This place is terrific. Great food, service, location, selection, parking, everything! To the lady who wasn't wise enough to just set her drink aside, you're going to flame a great new place with terrific food just starting to carve a niche in town? Talk about a bad call lady. I'd call it second only in the area to Cafe Azteca in Lawrence, but I know a lot of people just not willing to go to Lawrence, so for them, THIS is the best place around. GREAT meal.

I've been here 3 times and oddly enough have gotten the same booth every time. The food is great, the price is higher than expected. So overall the food matches up to the price one is paying. However, margaritas are overpriced. The two of us spent $25 or so on our meals and dessert and another $23 on two margaritas. They were good drinks, just not $11/12 good.

Went here with work folks for lunch on Friday. Everyone left stuffed and satisfied and licked their plates clean. I had a tamale and chicken enchilada with enchilada sauce all over. Both were well-stuffed with tender meat. nom nom nom The salsa and chips were served in a Magically Refilling Bowl and were hot each time. I like a little bit of spice in my salsa, but cholula took care of that problem. Service is great and the atmosphere is cheery and festive without being Disney. The only con is that I was expecting less cabbage on my plate and more salsa and guac, but oh well.

When its your birthday, they put an elaborately decorated sombrero on your head, give you a dessert, take your photo (with the hat), and sing to you. Guess you would have to be there because it is a lot more fun than I am making it sound. From Burlington to Nashua there has hardly ever been any good Mexican food. Finally, there is something local. I have been to Casa Blanca four times since it recently opened. Although a new restaurant, the people who run it are not new at this. The location on the Billerica/Chelmsford line is an additional location for them. The food at Casa Blanca is very good! I have run into a few of my Hispanic friends while there and they told me that they like the authenticity of the place. The portions are large, the level of spicy is good (not bland), and it is authentic. Best chips and salsa this side of Nashua. Their bar service is a short coming. The mixed drinks are not done as well as one would hope. Stick to beer and wine. They do not take reservations. This is good and bad. There is really nowhere to wait while a table becomes ready and nothing else in that plaza to pass the time.

My husband and I have become regulars here. They have *really* good fish tacos that have grilled vs. fried fish, and their Enchiladas Mazatlan (seafood enchiladas in tomatillo sauce) are seriously delicious. They even made me an item on request which was not on the menu (I was craving a mushroom/cheese quesadilla). Prior to New England, I lived in both California and Texas so I have some strong opinions about Mexican food. This is fresh, homemade, and delicious. And a plus: their Margaritas on the rocks are made with fresh lime juice, which is the way it should be. Top quality margaritas - especially if you splurge and get a premium tequila. We prefer sitting at the bar vs. a table as if it's busy, the wait staff can seem to rush the clientele a bit. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend this place.

By far my favorite mexican food restaurant ever. I tell everyone about it. I love the food, it always takes fresh, is presented extremely well. And I have never waited for a table even when they are busy. Also the servers always come over immediately and ask if beverages are needs, and also deliver chips/ homemade salsa immediately. Sometimes, the local mail coupons for the area will come out and Casa Blanca will have a buy 1 meal get 1 free. Even without the coupon, the prices are very reasonable and fair. I have never tried their monsterous $30 margarita, but did get to see one on a customers table before. The thing was huge, I mean huge. I think that it the next thing to try out. I usually get the veggie fajitas or a shredded beef burrito. The shredded beef is so flavorful, This is my absolute favorite restaurant. You can even bring the kids. This place blows on the border or the border cafe out of the water.

I haven't been here in a few months, so this review is based upon the few times I've been. Let me first say that having eaten Mexican food in south Texas, I had been looking for a good Mexican place that had authentic food. Unlike a few of the other restaurants I've eaten at in Texas, this place was clean and fast. It's like having whole-in-the-wall food in a nice atmosphere. The waitstaff were all very friendly and humored me with my bad Spanish. The service was also very quick. I ordered the enchiladas trios. I really enjoy enchiladas and this was no exception, though I wasn't a huge fan of the brown sauce that was on one of them. The meal came with an endless supply of chips, which tasted fresh. The decor was festive, and overall, I thought the food was a good value for what I got. I have been to restaurants that are a bit cheaper, but again - whole in the wall and not as clean. Overall, i was pleased with my experience and will be back again when the mood for Mexican strikes me.

This place is great! Very speedy service and great food. I am a sucker for warm chips and salsa and this place has that! Both times we went, the free chips were at our table within a minute along with drinks. Can't ask for me than that. All the food is really good, but standard mexican food. Same old beans, rice, etc...which I happen to love. Try the chicken en mole or the chimichangas...writing this makes me want to get some for dinner!

Since there aren't many Mexican restaurants here, I'll give them props. The service is really friendly and quick. I went during lunch so it wasn't that busy which was nice. I ordered a veggie burrito and it was good, but it was a little boring. I also split and order of potato skins.. and asked if I could get them half veggie instead of meat.. so they piled them with spinach and that was actually really really good. My friends often get drunk here and hit on the waiters. It's a nice clean place.. and family friendly. It's strange that it's in a small strip mall. I used to play hockey next store at the Chelmsford Fourm.. and I wish I could have gone to this place after practice. Like I mentioned before, I wold definitely go during lunch time.

This place is ok. Nothing thrilling, but nothing specifically bad. The decor is interesting, and the waiters are actually Mexican (and very friendly), but the food is not as authentic as either would imply. Usually if I'm craving Mexican food I will opt for driving a bit further to go elsewhere.

Went here with my nephew. Free tortilla chips w. salsa right when you sit down. Pretty good too. And since everyone refers to you as an amigo right out the get go, it was nice to know we were already friends. We ordered the casa wings, which were good. The sauce that came with was a bit hot, but altogether it was nice. He ordered a fajita, and I ordered the steak picado. Nice big portions, good food as well. Service was quick, and friendly. The atmosphere was lively, and just cool to enjoy the meal and chat. Best mexican food I've had thus far.

I've been here once for lunch and a couple times for drinks after work. The food is good - not spectacular, but better than average Mexican. The chips and salsa are excellent, too. The drinks are good. I don't notice that much difference between house margaritas, which is my standard order. What sets them apart and gets them four stars is the service. It's always very friendly and accomodating. We had crammed into the bar one night after work and a waitress came around to take orders rather than making everyone wait in line at the bar. She was friendly and helpful. I plan to continue going here.

I love the atmosphere. we went on a saturday night around 6:30 and there were several tables open. the bar was almost full. My meal was pretty bad, I got pork carnitas to try something different. Maybe they're supposed to be this way, but they were really tough, I asked my husband if he brought his chain saw. The sauce was too spicy for me. I asked the waiter if the meat should be this tough, and he didn't seem to really know, but at the end of my meal he said that it shouldn't have been that tough. I told him I think it had been remicrowaved ten times over. My husband didn't care for his beef tacos, which really looked like fajitas. He said that the beef was overcooked. My drink was allright, not great. The service was good and friendly.

First of all, I thought that the food was good here and the "busgirl" who refilled our water was quite friendly. The positives stopped there. My husband and I go to the Border Cafe in Burlington quite frequently and I was excited to find a mexican restaurant a little closer to home....so I was very prepared to love the place! The bad experience started when I asked to send my drink back. I never do this, but it was awful and I just couldn't drink it. I asked the waiter and was told "It is the same drink that other people drink everyday so I don't know what is wrong with it." I politely told him that perhaps it was just me and that I was really sorry but I just couldn't drink it. He asked me what I would like instead and I changed my order. He then walked over to a woman who I presume was the manager to discuss my situation, which I thought was resolved once I changed my order. She then stared at me and came over to the table to talk to us while we were eating dinner. She asked me several times "what was wrong with the drink" and I told her the same thing that I told the waiter. Apparantly that wasn't enough of an answer for her and she continued to ask me the same question, while getting much louder. Eventually I told her that we just wanted her to please step away from the table as she was talking very loudly and people were now looking at us. I hate scenes and this was horrifying to me. She went back to the hostess station and obviously told another person who was standing there about it because he stared at us for the rest of the meal as well. Needless to say, my drink never came and we eventually got the bill and left. What a shame because I really wanted to like this place. I gave this place 1 star because the food was decent (what I ate of it before I got yelled at!), but their customer service is nonexistent.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
