Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Pizza Factory is an Amesbury Legend. The pizza is great and has not too much grease but just enough to meld with the overall flavor. Cheese is fresh and sauce is made there, has a sweet taste. If you enjoy sweet pasta sauce on your pie, this is the place to go. Price - Market prices with other pizza places around the area. Crust - PERFECTO! In between thin and thick. My wife and I always get our quick pizza's here unless we're really spoiling ourselves and heading to the Flat Bread Pizza Factory for the atmosphere, brew on tap and a natural organic pizza.

the bf convinced me to go here for din last night because "they have the best square pizza" and they are open after 9pm which is rare in this area. So we got the pizza/salad home and much to my bf's disappointment, the pizza was not cut in squares, it was a regular round pizza. Must be different ownership.. how sad. I thought the pizza was good, esp. if you like greek-style and extra greasy. There was lots of cheese and the crust was crisp so I enjoyed it. My caesar salad was bland, but the dressing was good. Overall not too bad, the total was just over $17.. a little pricey iMO, especially when I can get three medium pizzas from Dominos for $15.00 ... but I digress.

The main qualification is that it's open. Yeah, there isn't anything open late night and when the rotary area becomes a ghost town, Pizza Factory is always there to save the day with mediocre pizza. It's white flour dough, sauce and frozen cheese splayed onto your pie. It is literally your run of the mill, basic, no frills pizza. Nothing more and nothing less.

I don't mind when I really need a junk food fix, I love Greek food also, but they are sorely overpriced and they charge 2.00 for delivery but the driver always wants an additional tip when i live literally around the corner. Takes him less than 2 min to my house. I do like the fact that they have slices available all day........and different kinds.....it's not bad, it's the prices that throw me off a bit......too expensive

Chicken alfredo pizza = AMAZING. Just saying.

Pros: Good menu for a "House of Pizza" type place. Friendly service. Open late, rare in amesbury. Cons: Pizza is really greasy....sometimes that can be a "pro"

My family and I have been coming here for years - it used to be our favorite place to go for subs and pizza. But, over the past several years, the quality of the food continues to drop. The quality of the lettuce, tomato, chicken (!!), bread (basically all the fundamental ingredients for subs/sandwiches and salads) all have gone down hill. And sizes/portions got smaller a few years ago :( This used to be our go-to place for take out food... we now frequent other local pizza shops who still seem to prioritize quality food and prices.

I love the pizza factory pizza in Newburyport, but for some reason (ingredients? Exectution?) its really subpar here. I've tried getting regular cheese pizza here many times over the years and there's too much sauce... and the sauce is overly sweet (I hate sweet sauce, personally). So I tried white pizza, and it's really inconsistent how that comes out. Many times overcooked. For subs, the pastrami was terrible (dry and mostly fatty stringy bits of meat, greasy bun) and the chx ceasar wrap is made with an oily caesar dressing - causing the wrap to disintegrate into a soggy pile of mush. I swapped for ranch once and it actually made for a decent sub. Redemption - they make killer calzones. Really really good calzones that you get a lot of for the price. My favorite is chicken, broccoli & cheese.

Terrible... I ordered a chicken buffalo sub around 9pm didn't receive it until almost 10:30.. When I finally got it it was almost cold, very very minimal buffalo sauce, no blue cheese like I asked for, and was a small instead of the large I asked for. On top of this I called back a minute later and the guy working told me that wasn't on my order almost with an attitude, and they could send me something else but it would take over another hour because they already had other orders they were busy with. VERY VERY disappointed and never going back.

Pizza factory is what it is- decent food, for cheap. If it were located somewhere else, I'd prob give it a 3 at best, but because it's in Newburyport, cheap food is a blessing. It's a reliable lunch location and pretty much the only place in town I can get lunch for under $5.

  • Edward J C.

It would be nice if the calzone was not overcooked. They knew it and delivered to me anyway when I called they saidf oh well we can credit. It was obvious they knew all along and also they had multiple complaints

The best Chicken Caesar wrap EVER. Seriously, you have to have this sandwich. Other food is decent to good too - large servings of light onion rings, standard sub shop fare of premade chicken cutlets and mozz sticks, dinner entrees are large enough to share, the calzones are packed and huge. Oddly, I am sure they use the same dough for these (which are good) and the pizza (which is not). For some reason when this dough is the base of a pizza it is bland and crunchy - I am the chewy thick dough type.

This place is great! Still haven't found a place that touches their buffalo chicken calzones! I've been ordering from this place for years and haven't had any problems with delivery or the workers when picking up. If you're looking for a quick bite and want some quality food be sure to stop by "P-fac" when in the Amesbury area!

  • Briana M.

If they could actually manage to get anything right I would give them more stars. Only order here because live to close.. The food isn't come rely terrible. But like I said, they can't get anything right and act like they don't know where to go to deliver food, I live so close... What is wrong with the workers?

  • George L.

I love the factory! I grew up here and grew up on their pizza. When it changed hands in the late 90's the food only got better. They improved their pizza and expanded their menu. While they are a standard Greek style pizza and subs joint they do almost everything right. I am rarely disappointed by their offerings and I've had close to everything on the menu over the years. (I'd say the roast beef is mediocre bit the factory isn't a roast beef place.) PASS

Best pizza in Amesbury for sure, but tried a Sicilian style and thought it could be better, so would probably try else where for that.

The pizza is average - good greasy and satisfying. The service gets four stars. We had pizza delivered on a week night. After the delivery guy left we realized that he forgot to give us our onion rings. We called and he came right back and pleasantly gave us our onion rings with a smile! Then we opened the pizza box and saw that all the cheeze on our pizza had slid over to one side. We called, and the delivery guy came back again with a brand new pizza for us. Not the best pizza, but amazing service!

One of those old, well-worn, local pizza places that's stayed in business for a reason: They're GOOD! They've got a good variety of menu items to choose from: hot & cold subs, pizza, calzones, dinner plates, appetizers, salads. You really can't go wrong with anything you order here. Awesome calzones, very good pizza, subs, buffalo fingers.

Good pizza, good calzones, good everything! We do both carry out and delivery and have always had a good experience.
