We went on a adventure tonight for dinner. All we knew was "from Shreveport, drive out North on Hwy 1 to Hwy 2 (didn't know where that was). Turn left at the casino and go to the Texas Line). I don't know if I had ever been to Oil City or Vivien LA before but we got there today. It was a beautiful drive and worth every mile. This is a small catfish restaurant on Caddo Lake. I probably had the best catfish I have ever eaten and that is saying something as I say we are going to write a book, "The Highway leads to fried catfish!" We love finding new places when we find ourselves back in Shreveport visiting. The sides - hushpuppies, fries, green tomatoes and cole slaw. Worth a drive. Open 5 to 9 - Thursday to Saturday for sure. Not sure about other dates. You might call to make sure.
