The name is now "The Butt Hut". Best BBQ I've had in a while. There's a large variety of options between BBQ meats and burger options as well as a variety of delicious, homemade sides including Mac and cheese, coleslaw, potato casserole, fries, green bean casserole, and more. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and juicy and presented neatly on a soft bun. The table has 2 styles of their homemade BBQ sauce as well as a saucy vinegar to top off any of your meats. Each sauce is delicious and offers a different tang for your meats. The interior was small, but a clean place and the staff was extra friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were also clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be returning. Good family environment.

Good BBQ. I got the potato casserole and pulled pork sandwich. Both were good. They gave me potato salad accidentally but brought me the potato casserole when they realized the mistake and told me to try both. I liked the potato salad and will probably get that next time. And there will definitely be a next time when we are driving through Vidalia again. Place was very busy at lunch but service was good. Styrofoam and plastic dinnerware. Very clean restrooms and eating area.

Delicious! I ate here twice during a recent trip to the Natchez area. On the first trip, I ordered brisket and pulled pork. I normally don't care much for brisket, but I was told that I had to try it. Turns out, it was quite good. On my second trip, I had a great burger. Also, I highly recommend the baked potato casserole and the beignets. The best part about eating at The Butt Hut is that I can tell people that their kids' menu is called the Tiny Heinie! If I'm ever in the Natchez area again, The Butt Hut will be towards the top of my list of places to visit.

We ate here on our trip home from an out of town trip. The food and service are both great! My hubby ordered the beef sandwich and he loved it and the Mac and cheese is the best he had ever had, he said. My daughter ordered the jumbo cheeseburger and ate every bite, which she never does anywhere else. I ordered the bbq quesadillas, at first they got my order wrong and brought out the wrong thing, but they were very quick to fix the mistake and they were awesome! The order was so big I brought about 3/4 of it home and have enough left for a couple days. Now on to the other sides we ordered.. I ordered the baked beans, those were not something I would ever order again. They have a very weird taste and the after taste left a not so great impression either. My daughter ordered the coleslaw, she didn't like it at all either, but I liked it well enough. I will say that they just don't put enough slaw dressing on it and was a little dry. The most exceptional part about our visit, I will say, was the gentleman taking our order. It's not often these days that you walk into a restaurant such as it is and feel valued as a customer, that is definitely not something that I can say about this place. He was super helpful, polite, attentive and answered any questions I had. He made our visit 100% better!

Having worked up a healthy appetite towing our travel trailer down from Vicksburg, we stopped for lunch at Vidalia, Louisiana's Butt Hut on the recommendation of a local Vidalian. We've been on our version of the Great American Road Trip for 46 weeks and, whenever possible, have sampled local BBQ joints from Billings to Boca Raton. I'm sorry to say that I can't agree with all the glowing reviews the Butt Hut has received on this page. The service is friendly enough and the place is clean and well run. But my BBQ Beef sandwich was below average. In fact it reminded me of the cafeteria BBQ beef sandwiches we used to get back in Jr. High School. Over-sauced with no chance for the meat flavor to come through, it had all the subtlety of a Hungry Man frozen dinner. And to top it off, half of the meat/sauce filling in my sandwich was cold! The mac & cheese side dish was just average, as was my wife's cole slaw side. My wife's pulled pork sandwich didn't raise the bar any further. The pork was dry and almost tasteless, a very unimaginative version of pulled pork. The two BBQ sauces available at our table were, again, not highly imaginative and the difference in taste between the two was minimal. Finally, when my wife asked for water with her meal she was told that she'd either have to pay the same price as a fountain drink for one ($1.60-something) or order a bottled water (99¢). What? Granted, this was only a sampling of two menu items (plus sides) but I doubt we'll go back to the Butt Hut again.

One of the best burgers I've had in a long time! We went in at 3pm so not busy at all. We were starving and both ordered the Jumbo Cheese Burger, which is the only size. We both could only eat about 2/3 of the burger b/c it was so big! And the loaded potato salad was delicious and Aldo's large serving. The staff were all very friendly. We will be back.

RIP Fish Fry, but hello Butt Hut. I pass through Vidalia on a regular basis and finally stopped in to The Butt Hut. When we walked in, a gentleman came and greeted us while in like. He discussed the menu and some of his favorite items. They had several unique barbecue items, but I went with a more classic, sliced brisket sandwich. I also ordered the loaded baked potato casserole, which the employee stated was the best side on the menu. They had three different, homemade barbecue sauces at the table, my favorite of which was the "sweet heat." The brisket was nice and juicy and the baked potato casserole was fantastic. I highly recommend stopping in. Classic small town friendliness and taste.
