Oysters were pre opened and came out of the cooler. They were dry and shribbled up and some stuck to the shell! Disgusting! The shrimp and spinach dip was watery and tasteless and came with bag chips....Ridiculous!!' The waitress apparently was not from the South because she couldn't answer question about the menu food that a fifth grader could. This place will be closed in 6 months! Don't waste your time going there!!!!!

Oysters were good. Pasta was good. That's about the only thing I can say that was good. The service was awful! Just awful! I've never complained at a restaurant before, but I just had to. I have no idea where they got their waitresses but holy crud! I will NEVER go back!!!

This will be my last time coming to this restaurant. This is by far the worst restaurant, I came in with my family and the restaurant was set up really confusing (bars left through right dark yet dirty) seats are too low to eat, every waitress/waiter seems uptight no smiles whatsoever. My waitress was took forever to even came in second rounds to ask if we needed anything else even when we look through the menu it took her 15 mins to come take our order. The food was horrible my husband ordered half raw half charbroiled oysters, if you're a oyster lover you can tell immediately if its fresh so this raw oysters were slightly pinkish yellow the charbroiled at least were a bit better than raw and I've ordered a burger and they are highly expensive for a burger that's not seasoned at all and it's the same size as the kids burger for a higher price. I hate to say that I should have listen to my yelp viewers but I will never do this again especially when they don't have anyone in there!

I really want to like this place, but because the music was too loud the waitress misheard my order. When the wrong food came out the waitress argued with me that this is what I ordered. I told her I am allergic to this and I didn't order this. She said she could fix it, but still argued with me that this is what i ordered.

Probably won't eat at Whisper's again. I know they just opened but it was pretty bad. The gumbo was like soup. It was watery and bland and didn't have okra. HOW DO YOU HAVE GUMBO WITHOUT OKRA??? The food took a really long time to come out. My BBQ Shrimp were over-cooked and took forever to peel. The sauce they were cooked in tasted good. The potato salad was HORRIBLE. I don't know if you really have to be a great chef to make potato salad but they need to scrap that recipe and start from scratch. The server was nice but she never picked our menus up after we ordered. We stuck them in a pile on one side of the table. All-in-all they need some serious improvement in the kitchen before I go back.

The building is interesting. You walk in and it's a weird hallway and you pass a separate bar area on the left before where the main tables are. There's also a separate 3rd floor which I believe is for private parties and a first floor with another bar area. It's a pretty interesting setup. There are quite a bit of TVs around so I can see that it would be a good spot to watch a game. Any who, we came in around 10 on a Saturday, they close at 11. The very unenthusiastic waitress came by to get our drinks. She acted as though she just woke up from a nap. But she seemed sort of nice. My boyfriend asked what beers they had on tap and she said "let me go check". I feel like a server should know at least one or two draft beers they have. She came back and listed TWO draft beers. They have 2 draft beers and she didn't have just those two memorized which I find weird. Maybe draft beer is not ordered here often? So we order and while we sit I notice how quiet it is. The music is only on in one half of the restaurant and the volume didn't fit for the night. The soundtrack was also pretty awful. Sad, slow jams. Weird. The food didn't really take too long to get out. We split a side Cesar salad and ordered 2 dozen chargrilled oysters. The Cesar was decent. Could tell the croutons were homemade which is nice but the flavor was a little disappointing for homemade croutons. The chargrilled oysters were pretty good, I will say that. Good flavor and texture. Could have been a little more crispy, but that's just me, I love crispy with everything. They were nice and hot. After we finished, the waitress came by and asked if we were ready for our check. We were so she brought it and said her goodbye. She didn't clear any plates or our menus from the beginning out of the way but another person came by and grabbed them and asked how everything was and was very friendly. As was another guy who made sure to tell us to have a good night on the way out. So all in all it was a decent experience. Started off a little rocky and there are areas that could be improved for sure, but I'm sure we will return since it's right up the street from where we live.
