There are 3 Starbucks in Slidell, and I'm sure 20+ on the northshore, and say 50 or 100 in the NOLA metro. Of all of those, this location is home to my worst experience. I would even say worst out of ALL my Starbucks experiences, which includes locations throughout the United States. We walked in, no one was in line, and there were 5 people behind the counter. I was able to peruse the entire Verismo display and coffee selection before anyone offered to take my wife's order. Then, the girl had to take it multiple times because she was also working the drive thru. On the third time, some other guy came up and offered to take our order, but the drive thru multitasker was already involved. We finally got our orders, and suspect maybe they put too much flavor syrup in them (they were the holiday drinks). However, this could probably be remedied by bringing a flask next time. So the people who were not working the register and only making drinks still couldn't get the order right. I've seen one barista work the register and make a drink and it comes out perfect. This location is tricky to get to, so not only do you have to deal with the bad staff, but you'll probably be frustrated just getting to the place. Maybe the other locations are across town, but it'd be worth it.

if I didn't have to give it a star, I wouldn't. the wifi was horrible and our sandwiches were cold in the middle. the staff was very nice, but that quality was not up to par with other Starbucks.

This is not a bad Starbucks at all. Yes, it is in the sticks, off the I10 and in a travel/rest stop kind of destination, but the quality is as good as if it were on Maple Street Uptown New Orleans. My husband and I often stop by here when we bowl in Slidell. The drinks are usually made well, and correct, and the junior staff (I never met a manager) seem well trained and polite. I would never take crap from ANY SB personnel, let alone a manager. Had Ginger's experience been mine, I would have already been on the phone (or email) to corporate. That kind of experience is unacceptable anywhere, let alone a corporate company. Correcting a product mistake is easy, correcting poor customer relations takes a lot more. I also like this Starbucks and where it is located because it gives me the false sense of security that Slidell is not as back woods as I think. (For those who are not local, I would say Slidell is to New Orleans as Escondido is to San Diego) Sometimes one just needs a little smoke and mirrors to make everything all right....

Wi Fi never works!!!. Twice in the last 5 days it didn't work. Staff is "spacey" when you ask them about it. I left and went to PJ'S Coffee on Gause Blvd East. They have fast Hi Speed internet and it works!!! They have been voted Number 1 coffee shop in new Orleans for the last 5 years. Take your business there. Forget Starbucks.

This review is specific to the service when ordering breakfast sandwiches. Which are very good. However, for the 3rd weekend in a row I have gone there to get one and they got the order wrong. Twice inside this last time in the drive thru. They apparently do not care what you order, they will give you what they want to give you.

This Starbucks, this one is hardest to get to even though its off of the freeway. If your like me and commute from Slidell to New Orleans in the morning don't go here. Yes, they're fast and friendly but if you want to get your Starbucks fix before you hit the road- save yourself some time and go to the new one off of the Fremaux exit, that's the next exit down, they're not as busy and you don't have to maneuver through as many difficult stop lights and service roads.

Like other reviewers, I agree, Starbucks is not worthy of an individual review but this particular location (I10/Gause) has earned that "privilege". I tried all 3 Starbucks locations within the Slidell/North Shore area and this is by far my favorite. No matter how often I come in, the Baristas are consistent in their service. They even remember (and some even attempt to) your order, your previous visit and comments you may have made (pet owner, volunteer work etc). Upside: Impeccable service at this location, they are consistent and most importantly work well under pressure as this location is right on the interstate (i10 E/W) between Nola and Gulfport/Biloxi. Downside: if you're a local looking for a place to read, unwind, surf the net or a chill spot -- know their hours and peak times WELL! Place gets so packed during finals (exams) and afternoons (sometime evenings), no seats are available and you may even find yourself waiting for your order outside. Side note: if this location is packed (and it's not out of your way) another awesome DRIVE THRU location with outstanding service: Starbucks on North Shore Blvd (in front of North Shore Sq Mall; next to TMobile and GameStop). Enjoy ;)

But she gives me Another brand & earl tea?!?!?!? Gimme a Break...Got it changed by an employee. But yeah I'm done w this location.

Since Starbucks is always consistent I usually tend to stop and get my high at their many locations around the world. The baristas here are very friendly and wired on the supply, which is a plus when you can get your mocha done quickly.

A frequent stop on my way from Louisiana to Florida, this Starbucks always takes care of my coffee and pastry needs... I have probably stopped here more than 50 times, and cannot remember a time in which they got it wrong. BOTTOM LINE: A solid Starbucks experience.

I like this Starbucks better than front street because they have lounge chairs. The staff is exceptional! And of course I go here to study, clear my head or just get some work done. And I can do it all here. Free wifi is nice. And I love the smell of coffee! They also have a drive thru which is good when I'm on the go!

Don't stop at this store if you're in a rush. You could literally die in the drive thru line. This has to be the slowest store in southern Louisiana.

I was so impressed with the speed, quality and service at this Starbucks. My family and I stopped here for breakfast on the morning of July 23rd and ordered four drinks, along with multiple items from the pastry case. Because of the size and complexity of our order, on top of the fact that there were at least four cars in the drive-through lane, I was skeptical that everything would come out right. However, this Starbucks far exceeded my expectations! The drinks and pastries were prepared quickly, and although I didn't think to request it, all drinks were ready in a drink carrier by the time my order was called. Same story with the pastries -- everything was warm and in a to-go bag. Plus, the orders were accurate and the staff was friendly. Way to go, SB!

I've been going to this Starbucks for years, the baristas have always been friendly people, and their service is as quick and accurate as possible. I normally get a caramel or Java chip frappuccino, and if I have a free drink, a veinte "Neapolitan" frappuccino off of the secret menu! This location does the best at anything in terms of being able to accurately match the ingredients, pumps of syrup, etc. In addition, the drive through is pretty busy in the morning around seven whenever people are on their way to work or school. Other then that, it's a pretty big hangout spot for people who need to study or find somewhere to enjoy some social life every once in a while. At night, the place is packed with people and their laptops! The baristas are definitely the best part of this particular Starbucks.

Still disappointed. I probably won't be back during the day. I love the night crew! They are wonderful but say crew seems off putting. Had an attitude with me when I asked if I could ring my mug up separately. I also ordered a certain milk but I can taste it was not what I order. She didn't offer tire make it. Not only did she add two scoops of ice, instead of remaking my drink, she added more of the thick syrup base to loosen it up. That's more sweetener that I didn't want. It's a shame...

Whoa. My most recent experience reminds me that I should probably visit a place more than once before reviewing. On my first visit I was amazed at the friendliness of the employees in the drive thru. On my my most recent trip the drive thru was packed so I headed inside. Inside there was a massive line just like the drive thru. At first I assumed it was due to the popularity of Oprah's Thai chili macchiato frufru money flavor town latte. But I quickly realized it was more likely due to the inefficiency of the employees. Rather than working quickly to fill orders the crew seemed more focused on chit chat. In addition to their banter, they seemed to be unable to multi task. An example of their inefficiency involved my drink order and that of the person in front of me. The person in front of me ordered a regular coffee. Since the main baristas were backed up, the cashier put her coffee in a cup, handed it to her and it was then my turn. The only problem was that my drink got put in the stack with the super complicated drinks. She could've easily poured my coffee in a cup just like she did for the girl in front of me, but that's not what happened. Maybe they had some reason for that, but many other Starbucks I've visited use the method where the cashier makes simple drinks if the main crew is backed up. The inefficiency could have been overlooked, but the unprofessionalism could not. While waiting for my drink, a woman walked to the counter with her drink. She asked if it was sugar free like she ordered, and seemed to have some sort of medical reason for the request. She seemed very concerned that her drink had sugar and the baristas confirmed that it did. She asked them to remake the drink, but with no sugar and they argued with her. Once they made the drink and she left, they began to speak loudly about her in a very negative way. This conversation was held at a volume where everyone in the store could hear them. It bothered me so much that it caused me to update my review. In summary, I had a great time at the drive thru, but the inside staff ruined my experience.

Just what you expect from any Starbucks! The employees are friendly & work fairly fast. The drinks are delicious. The drive thru moves at a steady pace & is very convenient! I've been here many times (a few times to have a meeting with 7-8 other people) and have been pleased every time.

My heart belongs to PJ's as far as coffee goes. Sometimes I just need caffeine as soon as possible, though, and can't make it over to PJ's. This particular Starbucks has a really convenient location, a drive thru and a quaint outdoor patio. The employees here are amazing as well. There's one girl who calls me "sweetie" and "love" over the intercom while taking my order and while handing me my drink. I really love that :) If you must have caffeine and can't make it to PJ's, you'll probably like it here almost as much.
