Had to check out this place since I was in the area on business. Awesome! I arrived right at opening so naturally not many customers at all. Three of us total. Extremely friendly staff and very attentive. Ordered the Fried Fish with gumbo special. Awesome! Bite after bite was just right. Fresh crunchy fish well prepared gumbo and delicious garlic fries. Loved every bit right down to the crumbs. I will, without a doubt, return again. And that's for crumb crunching sure! 5 stars!

We love this place! Had visited the downtown NO location previously when visiting LA and we're excited to know of this Slidell location. At this location you order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was all delicious- I particularly enjoy the Alligator Bites! A great treat. The thin fried catfish seems to be an area favorite and is very very good. Free ice cream for the kids was also a hit! We enjoyed this place and will continue to visit when we come to town!!

For the price, it's hard to argue against gourmet burgers and the never ending ice cream dispenser for the kids. Wait staff is kind and helpful, very attentive. I've been 3 times and every time I have to say the burger has left something to be desired. Other locations at least have a condiment bar to dress the burgers yourself, the Slidell location does not. I think my complaint stems mostly from the bun to patty proportions- lots of bun, little meat. The side of fries included with the burgers is what has me going back. Very good.

If I could marry a food it would be the bbq shrimp Poboy at Slice Pizzaria in New Orleans. What? Is that weird? Since I've discovered said poboy I have tried all other bbq shrimp poboys I come across. Tonight I tried New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood company's version. It was really good. It wasn't Slice, but it's good. Really good. They hollow out a piece of french bread and stuff it with bbq shrimp goodness. Bread and bbq shrimp all in one? SOLD. The fries here are what I are think are covered in garlic (crack) and I did steal them from my unsuspecting kids. What? Is that not ok? I'm a big fan of this newly opened place in Slidell, but ordering is a bit confusing. You come in, wait to be seated, look over the menu and then have to get up and place your order at a counter. Only then will you get your drinks. I geuss for some people that's ok but if you're with kids, telling them to wait at the table while you go and place your order doesn't really work. Adding more to the confusion is the "waitress" who only comes out to refill your drinks? Which I already brought my screaming kids to get. Ummm ok.

It appears as though the grease trap has overflowed into the parking lot, it smells horrible, and it was extremely filthy. The inside was relatively clean but certainly not how it should be with just a few customers at that time of day. The food was subpar and not served hot. The location in Mandeville is at a whole different level. The waitress was nice. Not for me.

Service was friendly. But the food was mediocre and way overpriced.

Totally awesome!!! Everything great. Loved Thin Catfish perfectly fried. Great sauces. The Crawfish Queso and chips were yummy. Veggie burger satisfied and we could eat dinner together as a Family. From Texas and we need y'all there.

When we arrived they were packed, but we got through the long line quickly. However we had three orders at our table and it seemed the wait staff were confused delivering our orders. After you order they give you a number and you then sit down and wait for the servers to bring your food. It really is inefficient as the servers are walking around looking for your number and not knowing where you are sitting. It took a while for our food to arrive. The other two at our table got and pretty much ate all of their meals while we just watched. On to the food--it was quite delicious and they were not skimpy with the portions. They were fairly cheap for what you got. I had the popcorn shrimp with fries. I also ordered some red beans and rice with sausage. Both were very tasty. My husband ordered the seafood sampler. We both had leftovers to spare. This place used to be a Shoney"s that we used to go to every time we came to town for breakfast. I guess it is better now as a cheap place to get some good New Orleans food.

Try the crawfish queso, it is to die for. Abita strawberry lager with their seafood platter can't be beat! Delicious!!!

Came in for the "special" got the bait and switch! Bad management for a new location. Good food but the layout is confusing. You walk in the door to a huge bar and in the middle of the restaurant is a window and a rude cashier to take your order. I didn't get what I came in for. Had to order something else. Left a bad taste in my mouth

Not bad food, well except the kids burger. Looked like meat from McDonald's or something. Bathrooms could use some care as could staff.
