This is a nice bar, but it could be better. First: I gave this place 3 stars instead of 4 because their beer selection is rather pathetic. They could use a few more taps and get some higher quality beer in there please, because there ARE more choices in this world other than Miller, Bud or Coors. A Sam Adams would be nice! Their idea of specialty beers seems to be Abita and Carona. That just doesn't cut it. Second: It's a shame that this place is so out of the way for landlubbers, but that could possibly be remedied and be made worth the trip if they would fix their lack of good beers. At least, I'd come here more often if that were the case. Third: This place is often dead unless there is a poker run or something going on. After those 3 things, this place could be absolutely wonderful. It is in a PRIME location on the water, with an absolutely BEAUTIFUL well kept lawn extending from the building and out towards their docks. They have a covered deck area that usually has a really nice breeze blowing through there, so even on a hot day, you're in the shade and can stay relatively cool. Their view of the water and the bridge is a beautiful sight to see as well. They have picnic tables and regular tables and chairs all over outside that are kept nice and clean as well, so there's no shortage of outside seating. The bartenders and staff here are always quite nice and friendly. I believe they rent boats and stuff here, but I've never done that. I have my own boat. They also serve food here, which I hear is alright, but I cannot speak for myself on that one. I usually just stop here for a brew or two. My buddy comes here and eats their crawfish from time to time and he says they're excellent. He's a crawfish enthusiast just like me, so I believe him. There's an outdoor covered stage area, which would otherwise be a FINE stage for a band and with all that space, there would be no shortage of room to dance around or...stumble around or whatever, but they could use some bigger attractions here to get in some business. All around, I come here for a quick brew to quench my thirst and a great view from time to time. I'd like to come here more often, but that minuscule beer selection means I won't stay here too long.

We stopped here on the way to ride skis on the lake, the service was pretty fast & the food portions were very large, the service was also good inside as well. Location is on the water, but you can get to it by land as well via Pontchartrain Dr. Plenty of available dock space for multiple boats, and jet skis. The inside isn't HUGE but it's a decent size, with a decent size bar. I hear they do karaoke here at night. That'd be really cool to witness. Only been here once during the day and the place was dead. Noticed a sign with a few specials, I don't recall specifics, but I know they have specials here on certain nights. By land, by sea, it's an ideal place to stop off to grab a snack before heading out for a day on the lake. My only negative note for this place is that they didn't have an air pump to pump up our tube. You'd think being on the water, they would have one. Maybe I'm just crazy to think that, but they could get that installed and be a perfect place!!!

Great location. Under new mgmt so service was really good. Go for the Bloody Mary and shrimp.

Don't be fooled by the one star we would give no stars if we could. This place is an absolute rip off. It is very expensive, but that would have been acceptable if they didn't rip you off on the deposit. Make sure to take pictures and have the guy verify everything because we didn't and the guy said that we burnt the seat that we know we didn't do. We saw the burn but didn't mention it to the guy because he said he went over it and knew all the small damages on it so we thought the small burn hole was included in that. We were obviously wrong because as soon as we pulled back in from our trip he immediately went to the boat and accused us off making the burn. It was the first and only part of the boat he looked at. He didn't do a walk around but went straight to the seat and came back off the boat to tell us he was keeping the deposit. He didn't give us a chance to defend ourselves and insisted on keeping our entire deposit for a burn hole smaller a than half of a penny. Please save your money and do not give him your business.

The WORST service, management, and environment. This place is absolutely horrid, I advise no one waste their time here. It's beyond insulting. The food is shit, and the staff treat you as if they have something much better to do than their job. Management couldn't care less about how their customers feel. Although it is in a very ideal location, try Michael's Restaurant down the way, you'll have a much better time :)

I went here once on a Sunday i think. It seemed nice with people pulling up in their boats. The food was fine, nothing amazing. The funniest thing was when a lady complained about her food the owner didn't react the way most might. He told her to f off and said "this is the door use it, f off and dont come back". Very nice!! Also the waitress gave us nachos and said they came with the meal so we started tucking in. She came back 10 minutes later and said that she had made a mistake and that she had been told my the owner that she had to either take them away (half eaten) or that we would have to pay for them. I feel sorry for the employees here as they are working hard and their boss is obviously an arsehole!
