I'm not much of a bagle person, but I look forward to coming here any time I am in slidell and it's time for breakfast. They have 18 different kinds of bagles and about 14 different flavors of cream cheese. They also offer a number of paninis, soups and coffees; and it's all very yummy! Their shop is a cute little bistro that gives off a new orleans feel with its rustic wood flooring, wood panneling and french door artwork on the windows. My favorite is the garlic bagle with the smoked salmon cream cheese. It makes for a more savory breakfast.

First time there. Order was 100% wrong. Noticed when I got back on the road, but was headed to another state. This isn't a jab at them, but the two things I like the most are breakfast and bagel sandwiches. They reassured me that they could make the sandwich I requested. Then I paid a decent amount of money for a completely different sandwich. Check your order when you go.

Three stars, for a reason. I averaged my experience. I ordered a cinnamon roll and had been told that they were homemade. I believe it was homemade. But it tasted like it was made the day before. Also, it was sitting out inside a glass cake stand and was already frosted. Now...I'm no expert but I think it would be better to heat up the roll first and then smother it with icing. Something they might want to consider, especially if they are going to give out day old rolls. I also got a bagel with salmon cream cheese. The cream cheese was delicious and the everything bagel was well made. However it was way too salty for both my husband and I (rare because he loves his salt). The iced coffee had that New Orleans chickery flavor that you either love or hate. I enjoyed the coffee very much. The items were priced well. We spent around $7.50 for the above mentioned items. Give them a try.

Not just bagels! They have cafe-esque items like Quiches, traditional breakfast and sandwiches. I'm giving it 4 stars because their kitchen rocks, and everything's made in house.
(4)Armando R.
This is my favorite breakfast place! We eat here after church on Sunday mornings. The food is ALWAYS fresh and made to order. I have recently started going there for lunch and their lunch items are equally delicious, freshly made and affordable!! This is a MUST visit place. I guarantee you will make this a favorite on your list of restaurants.
(5)John B.
What a great find! Throughly enjoyed the meal I had. It was a Pontchartrain omelet with the German chocolate bagel. The owner was working when we visited and made sure that we were taken care of.
(5)Eric A.
Fantastic alternative to chain coffee shops. Not just bagels as well. Plenty of room to sit down and enjoy your breakfast. Have no worries, great spot to try.

Nearby a Copelands, nestled within a mini plaza lies the Creole Bagelry. In my ten years of living in Slidell, my pallet wasn't too familiar with some of the restaurants here, however, I can honestly say that finding this place was like finding a nugget after filtering out the excess water and gravel. It's a rainy day here in Slidell, and as I enter, the place seems a bit busy, but not too busy. Greeted by employees within the shop, I went to place my order for a build-your-own omelet in hopes of a fresh, delicious breakfast. Here's what I ordered: Turkey Sausage American Cheese Spinach Tomato Green Onion The omelet comes with grits and your choice of bagel or toast, I got a bagel with grape jam. (Let's face it, for a first timer, you can't try a piece of toast at a place called Creole Bagelry and expect to review it) As I'm sitting here, taking a bit through my omelet, I reminisce about the days when I was in high school and my mother would prepare a delicious omelet with green onions and sausage with a side of bacon. I feel at home. The mushrooms are moist and bursting with flavor, and the spinach adds a kick to the omelet. Additionally, the cheese is melted over the mushrooms, turkey sausage and cheese, how lovely. Everything together came out to around eight dollars, not including my drink which made it a grand total of $10.05. Creole Bagelry, you have another vote in the book, and another customer coming your way more often.

Whenever you're in Slidell, there will always be a multitude of places that you can score a decent breakfast. This is one of the places where you can score an amazing breakfast, brunch, or lunch. No matter what you're craving they're bound to have at least one variety of it here.
(5)Gerard M.
Real bagels! And i am from Brooklyn, NY Glad to have them close to diamondhead ms.... Because there are no real bagels there
(4)Dean R.
The best bagel and breakfast spot in Slidell. The whole crew is always friendly. I go so often, they know my order before I get to the front of the line. Always good. Everyone should go here. Make sure you get the loyalty card (Double Points on Monday). Waiting to see the expansion they are working on. My favorite Cranberry Almond Bagel w/ Honey Walnut Raisin cream cheese. Large coffee. Things have changed.
(3)Bill C.
I tried to order 24 bagels for a group I had. They would not serve me because I was a group and had not given the 24 hours notice. I had cash in hand and they had food sitting there. (I know you had the food because I asked and you said you had enough to serve me but you required 24 hours for my catered group.) I was 2 miles away giving you a heads up to be polite. You were the one who told me you would not serve me. I was not a catering order and you offered no willingness to work with me. You just recited the rules instead of offering customer service. Maybe your food is great, maybe not, but you flat out told me you would not serve me if I arrived with my group. I highly suggest people go elsewhere where they will be valued.
(1)Joy O.
Yummy fresh authentic bagels. Sandwiches, and pasta a salad are fresh and delicious. Zesty zydeco sandwich is awesome on the oat bran bagel. Rockin Reuben on rye bread is super tasty. Great cozy spot for breakfast or lunch.
(5)Jessica S.
The onion bagel with jalapeno spread was on point! Lots of fresh bagel and cream cheese options. Great breakfast & coffee stop if you're quickly passing through Slidell!
(4)Zelda C.
We were sorely disappointed by the food here. The Yelp reviews were what attracted us here for lunch. The monte cristo sandwich was burnt, smothered in butter, making it a greasy mess to eat. The florentine quiche, even homemade, was the worst I've had, homemade or frozen. The crust was too thick, the egg way overcooked, and the rubbery starchy consistency made it difficult to finish. Maybe we ordered the wrong items, but I would stay away.
(1)Mary L.
Our bagels were delicious! I called and placed a to-go order, arrived 30 minutes later and then had to wait in a crazy line to pay for the to-go order (another 30 minutes), when I paid my order still wasn't ready and we had to wait another few minutes. Moral of the story, they have great food but make sure you have time to wait.
(4)Christie V.
Was looking for a place to eat breakfast on the way back from NOLA and found this gem. Great bagels and cream cheese and well priced! Highly recommend!
(5)Tanya D.
I can't believe I haven't yelped about this place before. Real bagels! Every time I'm in Slidell for work I try to stop by for lunch- spinach-artichoke cream cheese on a pumpernickel bagel- or at least a bag of bagel chips. My only complaint is that they don't have another location in Covington and that they close at 2. And maybe I wish they had olive cream cheese. But these are minor, and selfish, issues. I've never gotten anything else on the menu but people who have seemed happy. Cupcakes and brownies are good too.
(5)Samantha F.
We were visiting friends in town and weren't sure where to go for breakfast! So glad we stumbled upon creole bagelry! I had a breakfast sandwich and my husband had lunch! Both were phenomenal!! His had a side on coleslaw that he said was the best combination and mayo and vinegar based!! If you get the chance I definitely recommend checking them out! They make their own cream cheeses and the bagels are so fresh! If I'm ever back in town I'm definitely going again!
(5)Amie S.
Not a fan of bagels but I was with a group so we stopped. I had a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast burrito. Overall it was ok, but very greasy. Service was friendly but anything cooked was slow. The bagel fans in our group loved the amount of options available.
(3)Jake M.
Would never eat there again. Young man on register spent almost 10 minutes chatting up a couple of girls while the line grew behind them. When I did finally place my order for a turkey sandwich bagel they neglected to put the turkey on it. Unfortunately I was home when I realized that so I had to drive back to rectify the issue.
(1)Jason M.
Creole Bagelry is amazing. It has become a regular stop for my wife and I. Their food is great and the staff is very friendly. Check out creole bagelry, you won't be disappointed.
(5)C C.
As always, a home run! Wonderful everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. Wife had tomato basil bagel with tomato basil cream cheese and daughter had the breakfast sandwich. ALL FANTASTIC! So excited to hear they are expanding. Best breakfast stop in Slidell!
(5)Matti B.
This place is very friendly and has good service. The bagels are AWESOME...especially the chocolate chip cream cheese! I definitely recommend anyone to come here for breakfast!
(4)Mike B.
I've never had a bad experience at Creole Bagelry. The food is always fresh and ridiculously good. Even though they do all kinds of food (sandwiches, salads, etc...) my favorite thing to get here is breakfast, preferrably a giant omelet with a side of authentic grits and a hot toasted bagel with cream cheese. I always leave full and happy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
(5)Rasa D.
Really yummy bagels! I had the St. Charles Chicken salad on a plain bagel and it was delicious. There were green onions, sliced almonds, and grapes in the chicken salad which I love! The iced chai tea was the bomb. The restaurant was small, cute, and clean. The servers must have just had a big lunch because they weren't friendly with smiles and they were out of potato salad. I'll be back to try more bagels!
(4)Jennifer J.
Breakfast & bagels are always fantastic but today I had the stuffed tomato with chicken salad & I LOVED IT!!!! Super tasty!!!!
(5)Amalie T.
The atmosphere is comfortable & inviting & the staff is hella-friendly! The bagels are fantastic and you can't beat the custom cream cheese flavors! I had the sun dried tomato bagel with jalapeño cream cheese & thought about life & love the whole time I was eating! Great experience. There are just two things I'd suggest & they kept me from giving 5 stars: first - the coffee is not as bold as it should be (or at least have bolder options) for a breakfast/brunch joint & second - I cannot understand how a bagel place does not offer bagels & lox. Ever since a trip to NY I'm in love with that dish & cannot get enough of it so imagine my disappointment when I didn't find it here either. What they offer is great but is like to see these additions to the menu & coffee selections. My two cents. You're welcome. Well after I wrote this review I found their menu on yelp with bagels & lox called salmon soul but, since I did not see any of these menus nor was I offered one while I was standing at the counter trying to decide what to try, I'm not changing anything on my review so management can see that their menu is not being offered to customers. Plus I'm mad that I missed this & didn't get to try my fave dish!
(4)Ian M.
Even though New Orleans is the main attraction, I have been surprised to find some of the best tasting food just to the north, in Slidell. Creole Bagelry easily rivals even the best bagel shops I have discovered in my travels. Do not let the location fool you, the hand made bagels and cream cheeses are well worth the drive.
(5)Tiffany H.
I got the St. Charles wrap. Had a fresh taste with crisp grapes that added a slightly sweet touch. The sweet tea was ok but I have had better in the south. Kind of pricey for what you get. I wanted to rate this a 3.5 star but don't have the option to rate a half star so I gave it a 4. Decent place but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back there.
(4)Kara E.
I always find the food fresh and service is quick! The menu is well varied and salads are terrific as well. The Panini bread is the best around as well. You've got to try this place!
(5)Holli T.
Awesome little bagelry!

Creole Bagelry is a restaurant that sells bagels, other baked goods, coffee, and other delicious breakfast items. If I had to compare it to corporate America, I would say it's very much like Einstein Brother's Bagel. There are plenty of seating, mostly setup for four people only a few 6 seaters. Some are elevated tables with stools others are normal table/chair height. They have a bar type seating looking out the front window. The music was at a reasonable volume you can have a conversation with your friends. Some of the songs I heard were acoustics versions of some hits like Dave Matthews Band. I didn't check out the restroom so I won't have any insight on this review. They have a large variety of bagels and smears. Be sure to look into the menu, they have some items on the chalk board display but they're plenty more delicious choices in the menu. They also sell a variety of muffins, scones, croissant, and cupcakes. They had 3 choices for coffee and from the looks of the dry erase board signage, they probably rotate the flavors. Coffee fixings area can be a little crammed. My daughter's ordered their muffins, 1 blueberry and 1 chocolate chip. The baby got scrambled eggs, finished it and ate an Apple cinnamon scone. My wife ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and I got lox and cream cheese on a sesame bagel. My wife's sandwich was delicious and I really enjoyed my sandwich. My sandwich also had capers, tomatoes, and onions. They also gave a good amount of smoked salmon on my sandwich. I had the New Orleans blend which was a dark roast with chicory. My second cup I tried another blend that had a hint of cocoa. The coffee was great. My wife and kids got beverages from the refrigerator case. I really enjoyed this Saturday morning visit, it wasn't too busy but almost full. We will definitely visit again with the family.

This review is for their catering services, dine-in, and carry out. I've been to Creole Bagelry many times for breakfast and lunch, so decided to give their new catering services a try. First, I absolutely love their breakfast and lunch menu. There is something for everyone, and the ingredients are fresh. The food is prepared every day, right in front of you, and that's the biggest pull for why I frequent their location. For dine-in, even when it's busy there is place to sit. For their carry out, I may have to wait a few minutes, but the food is worth it. I'd rather carry out from Creole than go to the McD's down the street! Creole Bagelry's catering services are great; the food is made fresh that day, and delievered to your location just prior to your event. Everything your guests enjoy is fresh, and delicious! They now have desserts so my event had salty and sweet all in one!
(5)Chelsey R.
I really like the bagel options here. Great pasta salad, the creole club is awesome. Good selection if self serve coffee.
(5)Chelsea T.
Thanks for sponsoring breakfast at the Chamber TechSmart conference. I had actually wanted to stop by this morning before the conf. but ran short of time. Pleasant surprise that you were there! Thanks again! You guys rock!
(5)Charles J.
My wife and I love creole bagely. We love the bagels and the frozen green tea. Absolutely delicious!
(5)Barbara K.
Great place for homemade bagels. I love every flavor. The omelets are also great. A clean and friendly place for breakfast and lunch. We visit at least once a week and sometimes twice.
(5)Megan E.
Wow! Had an amazing brunch! The croque madam was delicious. I had it on a whole wheat bagel that was just perfect! Can't wait to go back.
(5)Jeannie P.
Sun dried tomato cream cheese on an onion bagel. Perfection.
(4)Lindsey B.
Always busy, but great service. The bagels are amazing. The large variety of cream cheese flavors is wonderful. Would be nice if they opened a little earlier, but definitely a great spot overall.
(5)Chad G.
Excellent place for a bite to eat. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast for the first time. I had the bagel Benedict with king cake coffee, which was awesome, and my wife had the breakfast sandwich. I highly recommend this place. The lunch menu looks even better than breakfast. We will return.
(5)Lindsay M.
I am a Mondays girl when it comes to this place. Double the points on your card when you purchase things! I got 10 free bucks now on my card :) This morning the boyfriend and I picked up bagels for the week, ate delicious sun dried tomato and the parmasean herb bagel and then decided to purchase some Egg salad they had. Oh my god... Seriously some of the best! My boyfriend is super picky and he is obsessed. This staff, owner and food is all around amazing. Never had a bad moment yet and we go frequently. Love love!
(5)Rose Marie S.
Creole Bagelry is one of the best restaurants in the New Orleans area - and not just for bagels. They're now serving a full menu for breakfast and lunch. The service is always great. The bagel chips, and the cranberry almond bagels are my favorites.
(5)Dennis G.
Two things left me rather underwhelmed. While it's neat that Creole Bagelry makes their own flavored cream cheese (and some of them are really good), they need to work on the smoked salmon cream cheese. I barely tasted any salmon in it. Better would be to offer and actual bagel with lox, cream cheese, capers, etc. Second, they won't take a Yelp Deal voucher unless it's printed. Keep that in mind if you purchase one. I bought one while standing in line because I knew my total would be over $10 so it would be a win for me. Imagine my disappointment when my voucher was not redeemed. I don't live in Slidel and don't visit often, so I'll be lucky if I happen to have a printed voucher with me and stop to get some bagels. I think next time I'll try for something with more flavor. Their special had brownie cream cheese which was tasty but super sweet and not a breakfast food. I was impressed with the variety of bagels, all of which seemed to be high quality. I'll have to try for another visit and get something new.
(3)Ashley L.
Best bagel sandwiches and pasta salad! I wish they would open one in Madisonville, Mandeville or Covington!
(5)N O.
Bagels are great but I have hygiene issues. Watched the staff taking money and then touching bagel with bare hands. I thought it was isolated but it happened again the next time we came back. So NOT going back anymore. It's GROSS!
(2)Tracee C.
Great little shop with really wonderful service. Was traveling for work and am happy to find a cafe style breakfast. Their ham and asparagus quiche special was delicious! Their great yelp reviews helped me find them and didn't disappoint!
(5)Evan B.
I've eaten at Creole Bagelry as a casual customer and have worked with them to provide catering for my employer. Their food is excellent- I've never had anything there I didn't like. The staff there is helpful and kind. Their catering was also very impressive. I ended up changing my order a few times and needed it delivered at a specific time and they came through for me. Everything arrived hot and on time and was just as good as if it had been ordered in the restaurant. Highly recommended.
(5)Kelly H.
This was an absolutely perfect stop on our way to Alabama from NOLA. the bagels are delicious, the atmosphere is calming, and overall a great little stop for a quick breakfast sandwich on the road. This would be our regular bagel shop for certain if we were local!
(5)Tony W.
Outstanding food! They have so much more than bagels! The bagels are great! I have also used their catering service. All around, very accommodating customer service with an excellent product. I would recommend them to anyone!
(5)Whitney B.
Amazing!! Every time I come into Slidell I stop in and get myself the blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese. I get my boyfriend the everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. I also get some cream cheese togo so I can eat it while I'm at home. I wish they would open in Mandeville!
(5)Tiffany V.
I had a great experience at the Creole Bagelry. The gentleman taking my order was very friendly and helpful. I had the sundried tomato bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese. It was delicious. I will return and try different flavored bagels such as the everything bagel and the garlic bagel.
(5)Jonathan B.
We go here about once a weekend. The bagels are good and they have a reward card program. They are also members of the star program which is a plus because my wife is a teacher and it shows they are involved in the community. We typically call in our order because we like to be lazy in the morning on our days off :-) I will pick it up and bring it home. This worked out pretty well until the last couple of times. We typically don't get the friendliest service when we call in our order, it's almost as if we're inconveniencing them by calling in our order. That was especially noted this weekend when we called and they told us we would have to come in to order because they were too backed up to take a phone order. Perhaps I'm overreacting, but I found this to be very rude. If I were standing in front of you to order and give you my business you wouldn't turn me away and tell me to come back later because you were too backed up to take my order... If you're going to accept phone orders you should do so with the same respect and friendliness that would to someone who comes in to eat. We'll most likely still go here occasionally. But it probably won't be with the frequency that we went previously. I just wish they would work on their customer service with phone in orders.
(3)Amanda S.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. There are not many places in the New Orleans area where you can get Bagel and Lox. Not only do they have it here, but they have every kind of bagel you could want and lots of different flavors of cream cheese. It is cute and the workers are friendly. Unfortunately their drinks are not very good. Many of them are waaay too sweet and the frozen drinks have a weird consistency.
(4)Armando R.
This is simply the best bagel, sandwich & salad shop in Slidell! The bagels are baked fresh daily and are much larger than others that you'll find locally. I love the breakfast bagel sandwich! The wraps & salads are great too on days when you're trying to watch the carbs. Everything is very reasonably priced and the portion sizes are very generous. I attended a business function that was catered by Creole Bagelry and everyone was very pleased by the selections and flavors. In particular the Salmon Cucumber pinwheels and the Bacon Cream Cheese Dip with Bagel Chips were among the favorites of the day.
(5)Aspen N.
There used to be a bagel place in Biloxi, Java Jean's where I would get my bagels, but sadly it never returned after Katrina. Thankfully, these bagels are almost equivocal in taste and quality. Whenever I'm in Slidell or passing through I always make sure to stop at Creole Bagelry if they're open and pick up a dozen or a half dozen bagels. They make a really good lox and bagel here as well with not too much cream cheese and a decent amount of salmon. So many sandwich places give you a deconstructed lox and bagel with piles of cream cheese, but here they make it for you, as an actual sandwich and not open faced so you don't end up with salmon-hands. I always get the sun dried tomato bagel with my sandwiches as it's their best with a creamy tomato and basil flavor with pieces of tart, sun dried tomatoes dispersed through the dough. The bagels have a nice toothsome crust with a chewy and not doughy center.

I stopped by here because I was looking for something healthy to eat before my workout at Slidell Atlethic Club next door. They have probably 10-12 kinds of bagels, different types such as oat bran, cranberry, etc. They also have several types of cream cheese: plain, non-fat plain, chocolate chip, salmon, blueberry, spinach and artichoke non-fat, etc. I ordered coffee with my oat bran bagel with non-fat plain cream cheese. They have a coffee bar where you can choose the type of coffee you want. All in all it was only $4 with bagel and coffee. Everything was so yummy! I wished I got spinach artichoke cream cheese but I will get it next time. I think they also do catering, have breakfast sandwiches and sell their cream cheese by oz. Try it out, it's really good.
(5)Shawn L.
I lived in Slidell for 6 years and this by far was my favorite breakfast place. It just doesn't get any better than these New York style Bagles made fresh every day.
(5)Sue P.
Love the cranberry almond bagel with cranberry almond cream cheese. Coffee is just so so...I've been there twice during my two recent trips to Slidell and will likely be there again as it is my daughter's favorite breakfast place.
(4)Richard L.
In the middle of an exit filled with fast foods and unknowns we stopped and had a pretty good meal. I rate based on what they are trying to be. Good bagel, fast service. All family got bagels and everybody liked it.
(4)Ryan R.
Excellent bagels! A wide variety of bagels, cream cheeses, sandwiches and sides. One of my favorite places in town to eat breakfast or lunch.
(4)Paul W.
I love this place. The people are always friendly, the food is always fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is always welcoming.
(5)Pati G.
My family has visited this cafe' often. If you enjoy bagels & cream cheese, this is the place! The variety is great. Soup & sandwich for lunch is worth a try!
(5)Robert R.
The bagels were delicious and the omelette special was real yummy too. I had a while wheat bagel with the spinach and artichoke cream cheese toasted.
(5)Bob R.
Great place for good coffee, a bagel and conversation. Friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The people are friendly and the food good. I like a toasted Everything Bagel with butter and a a cup of the Crescent City blend coffee.
(5)Erin P.
Love this place for breakfast and lunch!! Fresh ingredients prepared right in front of you and a helpful, friendly staff. Couldn't ask for better!!
(5)Angie T.
Repeat after me my friends. Crab and artichoke bisque. Got it? Run to Creole Bagelry and order a bowl as soon as you can. Wow, talk about good. They have bagels in any flavor you can imagine. I had that soup and the Salmon Soul sandwich (yummy!) but the bagels did look tempting and they are made fresh daily according to the girl who took my order. Looks like there is something for everyone here no matter what flavors get your palette going. Service was great, food was awesome, prices were good. Two thumbs way up!

I meant to add my review a few days ago, but I forgot. I tried creole bagelry for the first time on Wednesday. I'm here on business with my fiancé and I love trying new places. I ordered a wheat bagel with sugar free cranberry almond smear and a chicken salad wrap. I went in around 11 and hadn't eaten breakfast so I planned on eating the bagel then the chicken salad a little later, but ended up eating the wrap and saving the bagel til thurs. Morning. The two ended up being $11 and some change, which seemed a little pricey, since the wrap was $7, I didn't expect a bagel to be $4. ANYWAYS, the wrap was tasty and huge, definitely worth the $7, it came with a potato salad that was very "different" (I didn't like it) but I was so full from my wrap I wouldn't have been able to eat it anyway. The next morning the bagel/smear were both still very good (I feared it would be soggy, but luckily it wasn't) I really liked the taste of the smear and would recommend it! Overall, very good! Even though it is a little pricey you get a lot of food. I will be back :)
(4)Brooke L.
We stopped here on our way home from New Orleans. They have such a variety in their menu to suite all tastes, of course all revolving around bagels. We came around 11am, so it was between breakfast and lunch for a few of us. I got a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño bagel. It was great! The bagel had a kick but definitely not too spicy. I also got an everything bagel to go with some plain cream cheese. After 2 days of sitting at my house the bagel was not even stale yet. If I ever venture back that way I will definitely stop again.
