HEY! I went to LSU in BR and lived in Tigerland. If I wanted pizza, I would go to the Rotolo's up the street. It was a really great place to get a pie. I knew the owner there and happy to see he expanded all the way up here! That is terrific! Go get a pie from Rotolo's.

Awesome calzone. Their breading and marinara sauce really finished my clone nicely. They also have trivia on Sunday nights, which I think is the only place in Shreveport to offer trivia. The questions are reasonable, and it lasts from 8-10 pm Sunday's. Their bruschetta was good, just poor portion sizes for what was paid for it. Five crackers for six dollars wasn't what you'd expect.

I was in shreveport today and my kid wanted pizza. I looked up the best on yelp and Rotolo's came up. So, we went there. My son got the four cheese pizza and he loved it. I tried a bite and it was amazing. I got the Italian Club calzone and it was the best calzone I've ever eaten. I would highly recommend them again. The server was nice and attentive and they made my kid laugh and talked to him for a bit.

Eating out is a costly endeavor so I usually have to take just one or two kids so I don't break the bank. Even stopping for fast food is expensive for a family of five. Since my two older girls are at camp, my five year old and I decided to share a pizza. We can never decide what to top our pizzas with, so she got her cheese and I had pepperoni and salami on my half. Rotolo's never disappoints. The crust has a nice crunchy chewiness. The cheese is evenly distributed. It's an all around good pie. As far as Shreveport goes, this is top tier pizza, but in comparison to the pizza I've had in my life, it falls a bit short. I do anticipate many visits in the coming years because it is good pizza.

This place can't seem to figure out what it wants to be: A cool pizzeria? A sports bar? A kid's arcade and ice cream parlor? All those things are rolled into one at Rotolo's. The pizza has fresh ingredients, but the sauce is sweet, which is not my favorite taste on a pizza. Service was prompt and friendly.

EXCELLENT pizza! I had an 8" supreme and enjoyed every bite. It's the best pizza I've had in Shreveport. So why not five stars, you ask? It's super-extra-loud and our server was a little rude. And I got charged for a beer I didn't order. And their wine selection is seriously lacking though the beer selection is extensive. A few things, actually. All of that said, fantastic food makes up for a lot. I'll definitely be back soon.

After making my first visit to Rotolo's Pizzeria, I came away pleasantly surprised. The location is ideal, for those shopping in the newer, more hip area of Shreveport. The location was well lit, and felt like a cozier, more family friendly version of BWW. We ordered Cheese/Combination pizzas...and the Greek salad. All were delivered with prompt, friendly service... The pizza were of the deeper dish variety...which is good for filling personal-sized portions. I'd like if they offered a thinner bake of the combo pizzas. That said, the quality was pretty good and it's probably the best pizza I've had in Shreveport. Also, they have local brews on tap +++ I recommend Rotolo's for locals and visitors alike.

This is a really loud (REALLY LOUD GET IT?), really busy sports bar with decent ultra high calorie sports bar food. Pizzas and calzones are edible. The baked chicken wings weren't so great. Caesar salad is just some chopped romaine with SYSCO food systems dressing. The warm fudge brownie and ice cream was as good as it sounds. They also have Italian gelato. But for the most part this is a production food place so don't go with visions of anything "homemade, unique or gourmet"...except for the BEER. 31 taps. I'd go there again just for that. Pick of the Day: Clown Shoes Galactica -- A hoppy American Double Imperial IPA weighing in at 8.0% ABV. Mind expanding. Also, despite the crowds, we had great service from Shay and his back up dudes (who seemed like they were right out of a Bill & Ted movie).

I've tried giving this place chance after chance after chance. I don't get the hype. The place has horrible pizza! After 5 minutes the warm deliciousness changes to a cold nasty mess. If you want great pizza, go down the road to Franks!

Food is great. Parmesan garlic bites are awesome. Sweet heat wings are off the chain. Pizza is great, super good crust. Service is great. Ask for Cowboy.

Poor, poor service. I went here a few months ago for the World Cup. The waitress asked what I wanted to drink, and I asked what beers they had. The waitress replied, "Sir, we have over 30 beers." Didn't offer a beer menu, didn't offer any suggestions, and her tone was way out of line. When it came to order the entree, I asked for the Angry Pig. I was literally given a cheese pizza with jalapenos. No sausage, bacon, or BBQ sauce. It was pretty ridiculous, and if it weren't so crowded/loud and the service painfully slow (I'm not even sure I saw my waitress again, and she wasn't the one who delivered my pizza), I would have complained. My second time here, it was at the suggestion of a friend. The service was friendlier, the Angry Pig actually came with the toppings it was supposed to, but they completely messed up my friend's order; however, they were nice about it. Unfortunately the service was still a little slow. The place is relatively loud because it likes to pretend it is a sports bar, so the atmosphere is what you expect.

Very good and will be worth the drive from Tyler when i need a pizza fix! Now that I have to avoid wheat, I am on the search for GF/Wheat free options. This place delivers! Crispy GF crust .

Went here last night for dinner. Started with the "Classic Italian" salad which was really good. Then my wife and I also shared the 12 inch "Angry Pig" pizza (minus cheddar cheese sub mozzarella cheese). This was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The service was very good, Kelsee our server was very sweet and helpful. We will definitely be going back.

Great Pizza! If you want the best thin crust pizza in town order the Original Cheese Sticks and add Pepperoni. No kidding.

Food was not bad. In fact, I enjoyed it. So why 2 stars? The service is horrid. Teenagers run amuck and I had to get my own refill, and when I asked the four teens for tea, I got stupid face as a response. The food took quite a while, but it was tasty yet overpriced. If you want to be treated like a paying customer go elsewhere, if you are willing to serve yourself and be expected to tip for the privilege you are in the right place.

We had the gluten free pizza and it was amazing. The wait staff was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu in general and gluten-free free options in particular. Unique (sweet) flavor to the sauce which was delicious! Also enjoyed a half Caesar salad and half Italian salad, both of which were generous in portion, fresh, crisp, and tasty. Wonderful family atmosphere. Highly recommended! Ask for Felicia as your wait staff. She was friendly, knew the menu, and a great waitress.

Good food, excellent staff, and the orders are taken on a mini iPad which means quick service!

Love this place! Great food and atmosphere. The staff are always friendly. Plenty of TV's to catch the game and a nice patio.

I had Rotolo's for the first time earlier this week. To be honest, even though I work in a shop that's so close that you can see Rotolo's from the front door, I honestly didn't even know it existed. But that's not the reason for the low score. My boss went and picked up a couple of pizzas there, so I haven't a clue about how friendly or speedy their service is. But I do however know about the taste of their pizza. It's bland. Really bland. It's the kind of quality I would expect from a either CiCi's or a 3rd-party brand of frozen pizza. Frankly, I blame the sauce. Tasted like it was canned and shipped rather than made inside the store. Gave the pizza my "two servings rule" whenever I try something new. It failed.

Really good, but really chaotic. I have been to rotolos several times and each time the food is always outstanding. My only complaint is the wait times and I have had a rude server a few times. The last time I went, I ordered to-go. The guy taking my order told me 15. I was all the way across town so it took me 25 minutes to get there. When I arrived they told me it wasn't ready yet. I had to wait another 10 minutes, which wasn't bad.. But still. When they brought it out, they had it sitting on the counter behind the bar and nobody even asked if it was mine. I finally had to ask some random girl to see if it said "Kane" and she literally rolled her eyes at me and kept doing what she was doing. Another girl overheard her and finally handed me my pizza. All in all, it was one bad experience and it was to-go. Every time I've dined in, it's been fine.

Best pizza for the dollar. Incredible craft beer selection. Chicken Florentine calzone is my factorie. Pita chips with hummus is a great starter. Can be loud when the Saints play.

My wife and I shared a Walnut Cranberry Salad. It was very good. For entrees we both had calzones. Mine was a Pesto Marguerite and her's was a Joe Horn BBQ Chicken. I thought that my calzone was the best I have ever had. She liked hers too, but might try something different for our next visit (there will definitely be a next visit, and a next, and a next, and a...) The only problem was that the air conditioning gave us both a chill, but this is common in many restaurants. I think they keep them cold for the restaurant workers, which is understandable. We will just need to remember to carry sweaters/jackets even though it's summertime in Louisiana.

I had the blackened chicken alfredo sandwich. It was good, had a nice flavor...maybe lacking some vegetables, but I ordered a salad to go with it. The waitress made sure our drinks were always full. The bread sticks were also very good. Service was pretty slow as far as getting our food.

It was alright! I liked how the outside sitting area had porch warmers. Pizza was just "ok." Service was great. Shout out to "cowboy." My only complaint was that I kept being banged in to by the guy behind me sitting a mile away from the table. Apparently it is ok to shout across to another table mocking other children's talent show performances...

Meat Lovers! Oh goodness this is good pizza. Ordered the large meat-lovers for takeout and it was gone between my husband and I before the night was over. I hear good things about their calzones too.

Ok...sentimentality and hype are two things when placed into my internal martini shaker, can cause me to get pulled over here on Yelp for writing under the influence. And since this place is still the Official Pizza of the Who Dat nation, I must say that, in football terms to pizza terms, somebody just threw a pick, the ball is on the turf here, there's been a sack in the end zone for a safety on the home team, the goal line stand has faltered miserably (you get what I'm saying here). I love Rotolo's. I'm a big fan. I really am. I bring the love from down south in this state. What gets me and what makes me feel got, and I don't like getting got, is my inaugural to-go order from this first Shreveport location. I ordered two small pizzas, and they were okay, but not as good as I remember. But what really took me for a spin, was the two tomato basil soups that I ordered. Heed my advice my friend, here and now, or you'll be chanting out loud, "Who dat done fleeced my pockets, who dat! Who dat!"...I ordered two small pizzas and two soups to go (to really round out and top off this somewhat of a "taster's meal") and when I got home, I saw that the soups were each in the teeniest-tiniest syrofoam containers (think, if a shot glass could be made of styrofoam this would darn near be it) My wife summized that the containers were maaaaybe 8 oz. each...and then here's the really killer, kick-you-in-the fleur de lis part of it all is, each microscopic container was maybe half full? Maybe?...So! For $3.99 plus tax EACH, we got maybe 8 full ounces of tomato basil soup. That's like a dollar an ounce? No, that's MORE than a dollar an an ounce! There's lots of things you can get in this city for a dollar an ounce, I just didn't know soup was one of 'em. And most ain't legal. But this soup isn't so good it should be illegal. I wish it was. So just what in the Bobby Hebert/Jim Mora is going on here? I felt like a real Iron Head Heyward for stepping under center on this one. My wife and I both literally "shot" our soups, just as we would a "Shark Attack" from the Tropical Isle on Bourbon Street. They're not selling soup to go here...there selling soup shooters. I just wish a pretty, voluptous woman could've been walking around the restaurant with a tray full of 'em so I could of gotten a few more shots of tomato basil! My wife said for what I paid for the soup here, I could've ordered a delicious quart of the stuff from Good Eats, who arguably makes the best tomato basil soup in all of north louisiana. This take out experience was a real shot to the dome! And for that, I have to take this place down a peg or two.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
