Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Though the food was good- our service gets this visit only 2 stars. First of all, upon arrival we stood at the hostess station confused as to whether we were to be seating ourselves or not. We were there so long another patron had to tell us to seat ourselves. Once seated, our waitress was so awkward she made our experience almost painful. I'm not a huge stickler when it comes to service, especially if you have a personality to make up for it, but she lacked both. To start, her hair was not pulled back and fixed (or rather, not fixed) in a sort of way that I can assure you wasn't sanitary. At one point, she was dipping ice cream from the cooler and every time she leaned down to scoop her hair HAD to be touching the inside of the ice cream buckets- NO THANK YOU! Also, when she put our pizza pans down on our table, half of one of the pizzas fell onto the table and her response was to put her hands up to her mouth like she didn't know what to do. Because I hate uncomfortable situations, I laughed it off and said we would make do, but it was irritating to have to do her job for her. As for the food, we were pleased. The breadsticks are HUGE and really quite amazing-warm, crispy on the outside, yet moist and perfectly "yeasty" on the inside. We ordered the crawfish and roasted garlic pizza, which my husband liked. Beware- you've got to really like garlic to appreciate that one! I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and was also pleased. Just the right amount of chicken, sweet bbq sauce and a hint of red onion on what seemed to be a hand tossed crust- delicious! The atmosphere was clean and open, and the restaurant is situated in a "swanky" area of town. I'd like to give this more stars, unfortunately, the service ruined it.

Best Pizza in Shreveport. My favorite is the 5 card stud...cheese is perfect amount. Fan of the wings..not greasy or slimy. ..but crisp and tasty.

Absolutely terrible. Ordered take-out. Pizza to me is hard to mess up, but PieWorks should be ashamed to charge as much as they do for a horrible product. Dough was so soft it was nearly raw, entirely too much sauce and some pieces had hardly any cheese. This is not the first bad experience we have had here, but it will be the last because we will not be back.

Our waiter was Josh. He was polite, attentive, and charismatic. We will be back soon!

LOVE PIEWORKS @ Provenance Place. Such a beautiful place to visit. It is a great place to have a date night or have family dinner. The staff is always nice. The food is amazing! Salads, pasta, sandwiches, pizza, desert, and just about any drink your heart desires. I'm a huge salad lover and I love that their ingredients are always fresh. You Must try the Parmesan Chicken Salad with the Parmesan Peppercorn dressing with a side of their handmade bread sticks! You will not be disappointed.

We moved to Provenance a couple months ago and Pie Works has served as dinner at least one night a week ever since. We know the staff pretty well so service is always top notch. The food is always great so no complaints there. My favorite thing about Pie Works is that they know our kids and always take them to pick our Ice Cream when we arrive. Essentially the ultimate family eatery.

PieWorks in Provenance is the best location in the SBC! The others never lived up to this one. While living in Shreveport, we went here at least once every other week, even with locations closer to us. We always enjoyed the relaxing drive out to the adorable Provenance community. The breadsticks are not to be missed; the Garlic Butter and Parmesan Peppercorn are the best sauces! With a choice of 3, we'd get 2 Parmesan and 1 Garlic Butter, because we each wanted our own of that heavenly stuff. We always order the large breadsticks, because they're just too good. Then, we'd split a small pizza; if it's just 2 of you and you get a large order of breadsticks, you may be ok with a small if you don't want a ton of leftovers. If you don't eat the breadsticks, you'd need the medium or large pizza. We would always make our own pizza. If it was the hubs turn to make it, we'd get the traditional tomato sauce, and it if was my turn, we'd get the Cajun Alfredo sauce. Regardless of which delicious sauce, our toppings were typically pepperoni, shrimp, mushrooms, artichokes, olives, jalapeños, mozzarella cheese, and ricotta cheese. We usually got the Traditional crust, but the Dark Wheat was great as well. YUM! I'm hungry just thinking about it. We always enjoyed sitting on the patio on a nice evening, and if we sat inside, we'd request the private booth if it was available. There are 2 of them, and it makes for a nice and quiet dinner. Service was typically very good. It missed the mark on very few occasions, and we loved our other visits so much that it didn't matter.

While I come here more often than other pizzas place, it's not the pizza that brings me back. Pieworks has the best wings I've ever had. Baked in the pizza oven with the right amount of sauce. Falls off the bone every time. The pie selection is good, beer selection no quite as good as others. The service is always good. Still one of my top picks.

I've always like this place. Been coming here since it opened and often. Have always enjoyed myself. Within the past couple weeks I've become disappointed. I like to stop by for a late lunch between 1 and 2. When the weather is nice like to sit outside. I stick my head in the door so they know I'm there then go sit outside. Server is always prompt to take my drink and food order. Food comes out timely. This is where I've become disappointed with the different service in the past couple weeks. They forget about me. I'll finish my appetizer or drink and have to wait 15-20 minutes for someone to come back out if I want to order more. They are never busy, maybe a table or two when I stop by. I hope this gets better.

I've been eating at PieWorks for years now. They have the best pizza in the Shreveport/Bossier area. Not always the cheapest but made with the freshest ingredients how could it not be SO GOOD!! The bread sticks will fill you up if you don't watch out. But they're so good and from my understanding they are made from same dough the pizza's are made with. The Tinpin is the supreme pizza made with fresh cut onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, meats, and the right amount of cheese. Give them a try and you just might be hooked!!!

There's no better place to get pizza (along with the other Piework's). The restaurant carries an incredibly homey feel as Jay,the manager, will happily introduce himself with a great sense of pride in the restaurant he runs. You'll soon get to know Banetha (and never forget) as she probably has the most distinct, unique, and friendliest attitude you'll ever meet. Great beer selection to go along with the great food!

Pizza is good though their offerings no longer include any of the pie works original pies that made them so unique (spaghetti works, their dessert fruit pizza etc.) service is sub par, be sure to check your order if you carry out before you leave the restaurant. I don't ever receive my full order and without fail have to go back in for something they forgot. Delivery isn't offered until 5:00 pm which is a bummer during the summer months when you're lounging around the house all day. To be the only pizza restaurant in south shreveport this pie works should really step up their game and bring back some of the original favorites!!

What happened to this place? We enjoyed their pizza ever since we moved to Shreveport about 5 years ago. I noticed that something was missing from the crust about 7-8 months ago. We thought it would be one time thing so we ordered again a couple of months ago. The dough was not even fully baked and too chewy in a wrong way. And we ordered again yesterday. The dough was completely stuck to the box and the crust and topping would not stay together. The crust tasted like someone forgot yeast and did not rise a bit. Flatbread gone wrong kind of deal here. Unfortunately it has met our three strikes rule and we do not plan to eat here anymore. If you have had different experiences, share your thoughts. I might reconsider, then.
