Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The chicken enchiladas are excellent! The margaritas are not bad either!

This is our go to place for Mexican, mainly, because it's the closest and it's cheap. I believe it is difficult to be different than the next place so we go to the most convenient place that serves Mexican. The ritas are good and cheap and even CHEAPER on Happy Hour. The food is always piping hot and comes out scary fast. We will be back, of course. It's close.

Good price for good food. Didn't stand out for me, but I had their fish taco and it was pretty good! 3 fish tacos with rice for $11

This place is horrible! I walked in at 2:45 in time to get a to go plate for myself but stood at the front counter waiting for the hostess (Logan) to come and take my order but she was too busy talking on the phone to someone. Finally after waving her over she came to take my order but told me she couldn't let me order from the lunch menu because it was over. I showed her the time and she said "well it's not that on my clock and anyway I can't because the buttons on my computer changed to dinner". I told her that is ridiculous and wanted to speak to a manager and if it wasn't for her making me wait 15 minutes while she talked I would have been able to... but of coarse there wasn't one she said just her. So I then asked for the managers number and she asked for my name and told me he would call me. I told her I wasn't going to leave unless I spoke to someone...so finally she called him and I talked to him and he said to let her know I can order from the lunch. After all that she was saying stuff and I felt very upset so I left without any food because I would rather spend my money somewhere else.

Happy Hour A- - i love margaritas but the downfall here is that when you get a "flavored" margarita they use a sugary syrup and add it the the original , im not a fan , i prefer fresh REAL ingredients

Delicious food. Average service but don't call in a To Go order anytime near closing time, attitudes will flare!

Great food for the price! Love getting carry out. Quesadillas, fundido, taco dinner, yum!

Was great when it was new and then sort of slipped to sub-par and boring. We finally got tired of the hit or miss quality and service and never went back.

this place was not really great, but not really bad, either. as far as Mexican food in Louisiana goes, it was pretty sub-par. you won't leave disappointed, but you also won't be singing it's praises all about town. the chips and salsa were pretty good, and my husband's chicken quesadillas looked yummy, but my flautas were a bit over-cooked, and the server seemed a few cards short of a deck. it's near my sister's house, so i'm sure i'll return here, but i don't know if i'll be recommending it to everyone i know--if ya know what i mean.
